Now someone called you yesterday and you were the wrong person.

Speaker 2 (00:03):
They thought you were the right person exactly.

Speaker 1 (00:05):
He got into conversation.

Speaker 2 (00:06):
So I did.

Speaker 3 (00:06):
I got this call from a friend of mine's dad
who is in a I think it's an over fifties
retirement village, and I thought I haven't heard from him rages.

Speaker 2 (00:17):
And I actually thought he wanted to shout out.

Speaker 3 (00:19):
I thought, because he usually sometimes calls me and says,
can you put this out on the radio, So I
thought I just want to shout out. But no, it
was quite a sense of urgency the phone call. It
was like, we can't find Colleen. I was like, oh,
he said, she's gone missing, and I'm like, he's Colleen right.
He goes, you know Colleen from number whatever. Yeah, And
I'm like, oh, and and she's taken a wheelie walker.

I've gone oh. He goes, can you check the cameras?
And I said, well, I'm at home at I'm not
at work. And he's like, oh, well, what do you think?
What do you think we should do? We've checked everywhere,
We've checked down at the whatever area in this area
and whatever, and her door's open and we can't find her.

Speaker 2 (01:00):
We're very concerned.

Speaker 3 (01:02):
I was like, of course, I said, well, look at
have you got an on site manager or contact person?
So I'm going through this process and I'm thinking, I
have no idea where I'm getting this call, but I'll
just assist here, I said, otherwise, maybe we need to
contact the police because this is like eight o'clock at night,
and I'm thinking, oh, and I can hear.

Speaker 2 (01:17):
His wife in the background. You're quite concerned. All right,
we we'll have to call the police or whatever.

Speaker 3 (01:21):
Okay, So anyway, he hangs up, and I thought, oh,
I should ring my friend because that's a very odd
phone call.

Speaker 2 (01:28):
So I've run my friend. He has an answer.

Speaker 3 (01:29):
So I text him and said, I've just heard from
your dad and apparently Colleen and her Willie Walker are missing.
And I just think you need to check on tab
because I have no idea why I've got the phone call,
but he wants me to check the cameras. Anyway, he
calls me back and said, oh my god, I am
so sorry. I said, no, don't at all. Something's happened.
But I said, I'm just not sure why he's called me.

And he goes says, Mu'm gone to Bingo and Dad
had a few beers. I said, I don't know. I
don't know what's going on, but Colleen's missing with her
willie Walker. I said, I said, they're possibly calling the police.
He's like, get off the phone, old call anyway. Next
minute he texts me back and can I read.

Yes? Yes, so this is this is my beautiful friend Mike.
He will kill me for reading this out, but it
was very funny. He sends me this message bag and
he goes.

So the caretaker and he calls it the done Root
and Retirement Village for senile old and their long suffering
wives is also called Marni, and he rang the wrong
Marni FML. Anyways, thanks, I'll make Colleen with the wheelie

message from his dad yes later apologizing saying I'm so sorry,
but yes, the site manager is Marina actually, and I
get that very often. So he's called me instead of Marina,
and I said, don't be sorry.

Speaker 2 (02:55):
So as long as she's fine. He goes, no, she was.

Speaker 3 (02:56):
Fine, he goes, you've decided she'd go to the shop
for an ice cream, but she didn't tell us.

Anyway.

Speaker 3 (03:04):
All as well, Colleen is safe. She's back with her
billy walker. But when has someone called you and just
started a conversation thinking they're talking to someone else or
text you?

Speaker 1 (03:14):
Nole's in wie and pocket get noel? How you go? Mane?

Speaker 3 (03:17):

Speaker 2 (03:18):
Great? So someone called you? What happened? Yeah, so apparently
a phone call from a bloke saying that I was
a love interest of his missus. Oh no, gosh, where
are you though?

Speaker 1 (03:31):
So you let the conversation go on a little bit,
and did you you come clean?

Speaker 2 (03:35):
Say mate, you got the wrong person. I let it
go for a bit if you're happening out and she's okay.
Apparently it was the wrong now and I just turned
around and I said, yeah, no, mate, I don't do
that sort of stuff.

Speaker 3 (03:53):

turned nasty. You don't want him having a crack at you, mate.
