Speaker 1 (00:00):
Good friend of mine, Alan Graham, he's the boss of
sun Corpse Stadium, and you're handing in your noticement. You're retiring.

Speaker 2 (00:07):
What's the story. I've had a great run, but it's
been a long one and I'm ready to move on
to the next stage. So business is in really good
Shape's probably a good time now to step down and
let someone else have a go.

Speaker 1 (00:18):
Two thousand and three, son Corps Stadium opened and you
were there I think a year before, would that be right.

Speaker 2 (00:23):
I about about six six months or so before, mate, Yeah.

Speaker 1 (00:26):
Yeah, wow, It's hard to believe sun Corps that old.

Speaker 2 (00:31):
Well, yeah exactly. And you know, I think one of
the things that I'm very proud of is the fact
that we've been able to keep it current. When you
think back to two thousand and two and three, when
the stadium was built, a lot of the technology that's
there today was not even invented, and so we've had
to retrofit a whole heap of technology and facilities and

(00:54):
upgrades not only the technological space, but the digital space
and also even in catering and court facilities. So we've
now modernized it all the way through. So it's in
really good shape and it still stands as one of
the best stadiums in Australia.

Speaker 1 (01:11):
Oh it is mate. I've seen the Police there, you too,
Ed Sheeran, Bond Jovi, you name it, cole Play, They've
all been there performing. Only saw Pink early last year.
Incredible acts have played sun Corpse Stadium. Robbie Williams for
just amazing. What's one of your best recollections of some
of the amazing acts and performances that have turned up

(01:31):
at Suncourt.

Speaker 2 (01:33):
Look, there's been so many highlights. I suppose I still
go back to Robbie as our first one, probably for
that reason, but also in fact it was just such
a great act and he put it on a Marvels show,
put on a couple of shows actually, But there's been
so many others. Pink was fantastic, cold Play has been great, well,

(01:53):
you name them, Paul Matdartney phenomenal, Phil Collins, he was
probably had the best, the best acoustics of any concert
we've ever had there. It was just absolutely crystal clear.

Speaker 1 (02:05):
Yeah, look, the origin's amazing. Congratulations on just a phenomenal
run with sun Corp Stadium.

Speaker 2 (02:11):
Elon, Yeah, thanks, Campa, I really appreciate it, mate, and
thanks so much for all your support along the way.
It's been fantastic.

Speaker 1 (02:16):
Yeah, pleasure. Alan Graham will miss you mate.

Speaker 2 (02:19):
I'll still be around mate, and I'm sure we're running
into each.

Speaker 1 (02:22):
Other yeah, no doubt mate.

Speaker 2 (02:23):
Thank you so much, Thanks Campa
