Speaker 1 (00:00):
Going right around the country with the biggest Sozzy hits
at night for OZ. Mate. It's Maddie Gough and we
have been spinning heaps of abroad, keeping us caffeinated as
we push through the working weeken into the weekend. Well,
actually there is some brand new stuff coming out. Excited
about Air. Taking in a deep breath of that air,
a blast of lush electronic pop and the brand new
track is going to get spun in just a sec
from the Sydney Due. We're catching up with Will from
(00:21):
abroad right now, Mate, Thanks for coming. I'm spending a
little bit of time here and.
Speaker 2 (00:24):
I was, mate, Thank you so much for having me.
Speaker 1 (00:26):
We've been spinning wonderful things from you, like coffee, keeping
us caffeinated. But we get to chat about this brand
new one that's out with Air.
Speaker 2 (00:33):
Yeah, a bit different from coffee, but hopefully you can
still tell that it's abroad.
Speaker 1 (00:37):
I reckon so mate, like you're really creating this distinctive sound,
of this distinctive duo kind of filter things. How did
you guys actually get together Will with Jack?
Speaker 2 (00:46):
Jack and I have been friends since Uni down in Wongo. Yeah,
we played in different bands, but I ended up recording
his band and we just had a wonderful time and
it was like a couple of years later we both
ended up moving separately, but to London at the same time.
I was looking for a project, he was looking for
a project, and I think it was me that said
we should just do something together. We just started from there.
(01:08):
Cool and that's kind of the namesake of abroad, right, Yeah, guys,
there's no place.
Speaker 1 (01:12):
Quite like home really, is there, as Dorothy would say. Indeed,
and you actually going on a bit of a singer
as well. So we're kicking off on Friday, the fifteenth
of this month.
Speaker 2 (01:21):
We sure, ah, yeah, we're tackling as much of the
East Coast as we can.
Speaker 1 (01:25):
Really cool to be able to be up on the
stage again, but also to have in the back pocket
all this new stuff that people are getting heaps of
spins of. And I'm sure that they'll be singing along
too as well.
Speaker 2 (01:35):
I certainly hope. So Jack and I don't really DJ.
We play as much as we can. Yeah, if audiences
want to help and sing along with very much encourage.
Speaker 1 (01:43):
Yeah, and with the new stub that's coming out, particularly
talking about air at the moment as well as the tool.
What else can we expect from abroad as we move
forward throughout twenty two and beyond, hopefully.
Speaker 2 (01:52):
As many live shows as we can literally put under
our belt. A big chunk of music has just come
out and so we're going to dive deep into that
for the next ye kind of six months.
Speaker 1 (02:00):
Absolutely, mate, Well we're going to dive right into your
brand new single with air will. We really appreciate you
spending a little bit of time here from abroad chatting.
Speaker 2 (02:07):
To us on I was mate, thank you so much
for having me. Hi, this is abroad and you're listening
to Oz Made and our song Air.
