Inspired by the pair spending some treasured downtime with their families and seeing the world through their children’s eyes. Busby reveals, “It’s just like, ‘Wow, everything was great, always, when we were kids. Why are we so negative? Is it social media? Is it all the stuff that’s going on? What is it?’ But there’s an uplifting piece of hope in the feeling of the music, and in the lyrics, suggesting that maybe we can all be happy again.”

Speaker 1 (00:00):
Some of the later stuff to Oz made from Peach PRC.
It's Mattie gaild As we go right around the country
with the biggest Dozzy hits at night and one of
this country's absolute phase Buzzby Moreau. We love Everything is Beautiful.
Everything is very beautiful about these two men. They are
in the car at the moment they are driving, they're
getting ready for more shows. Everything is Beautiful. There's a
brand new film clip with it and we're catching up

(00:21):
with them right now. What's going on buzzby Moreau?

Speaker 2 (00:24):
Not much. We're just first week of shows done on
this tour that we're doing with Casey Chambers. But obviously
we're just getting around pumping up the new single we've
got out of this Beautiful.

Speaker 1 (00:34):
Yeah. So we were speaking to Tom about the bit
of a Queensland campaign that we had to cover for going.
But this is the first taste of some new stuff
with Everything is Beautiful and where pumped for it, Jeremy.

Speaker 2 (00:45):
Yeah, you know, obviously we had a lot of time
to sit in the studio and write and work on
a batch of new songs. This is the first single
loss what will be an album plan to release around
September sometimes.

Speaker 1 (00:55):
September is going to come around quickly as well. And
these shows that you're doing with Casey Chambers, So what
leg are we on at the moment. So we're spending
a little bit of time at home, then we've got
more shows this week.

Speaker 2 (01:04):
Yeah, this was our first week in away victorious a
little bit cold down here. There's so much fun, such
a cool human being. The shows. You know, we're spending
a lot of time on stage together playing songs that
we both love. Yeah, lovely covers its Yeah. So from
here to New South Wales and then North Queensland our favorite.

Speaker 1 (01:24):
Fantastic And you've spent some time in the warmer suburbs
up there, You've done some stuff with not all we.

Speaker 2 (01:29):
Did that was unbelievable. We also missed a couple, missed
out on a couple of their gigs because Colvie, but
they're an amazing bands. Gee.

Speaker 1 (01:36):
That was fun and it's pretty fun being able to
do what you love and we all know that it
can be taken away from us all so quickly. But
with the new stuff being out on the road again, like,
how are you finding it? In terms of show fitness?

Speaker 2 (01:48):
Oh yeah, the match fitness was a little bit bit
bit touch and go for the first few shows. We're
sort of clicked in pretty pretty quickly. We've got a
great crew and band around the stace sort of makes
us make us and I look good every show. So
we just forgot all the travelers since we're in Melbourne
and I just used to getting up early and back

(02:09):
on planes. And a new single out and we're doing
media every day. Yeah, we're mac being.

Speaker 1 (02:14):
In the swing of it and with Buzz his new
one with Everything is Beautiful? How did it come about
for yourself and time and the team.

Speaker 2 (02:19):
We're doing some songwriting different clouds with different people. We
wrote this one with Tom Aggott, who also went on
to produce a lot of the songs on the album,
and it was just an eed of process. You know,
we don't try to other think when we write. Tom's
an amazing lyricists, and you know, we just had the
melody the three of us and it just it just
came together and it was just meant to.

Speaker 1 (02:40):
Be new stuff coming out. You said in September, is
this the same feel as what we're going to have?
Is this the nice taste of what we're going to
go forward with?

Speaker 2 (02:46):
It is a good taste. There'll be some songs and
a little bit different, a couple of songs of a
nice country flavor. It's got a bit of everything. You know.
It's our fifth albums, so I think if you look
at our last five albums, it's got a bit of
everything we have to offer. So it's definitely our best
work so far. We're parent a couple of songs live
in our lives to show you that. You'll see a
couple of those songs, but we can't wait to everyone

(03:08):
else to hear them.

Speaker 1 (03:09):
Well, that's that's a big credit for you to say,
because your self titleddaybut in two ten obviously was incredibly
well received, millions of streams since then. So a very
exciting time to not only be Busby Mauru but also
to be fans, which is really cool mate, it is
it is.

Speaker 2 (03:24):
And now the fact that we can just get out
and play the live Yeah, everyone out that's getting out
the coming and you know, getting the live shows, it
really means well for us.

Speaker 1 (03:30):
Yeah, so you just go over again, Jerry. Where else
can we catch busby Maru coming up?

Speaker 2 (03:35):
And we've got shows coming up in Brisbane, God Coast,
Sunny Coast next week. We're in Sydney on Thursday night
at Rudy Hill. The weekend after that we're doing Mackay
Towns or Cans so Ripper.

Speaker 1 (03:46):
Back up to that nicer weather, the warm weather, especially
coming in from Geelong. She's cowed out there.

Speaker 2 (03:55):
Oh yeah, we've been together before, man, but it's.

Speaker 1 (04:00):
Just got to warm you up. Warm the hearts, warm
the souls, the cockles. It's just seeing people out and
about just getting amongst your music and being able to
see them all live again. Hey.
