Speaker 1 (00:00):
Going right around the country with the biggest oss he
hits at night for Oz Made, it's Maddie goal. And
when it comes to country music, we have got an
absolute banger to play for you tonight. Sleeping with One
Eye Open, but the Metallica sense, maybe even watching the
Stranger Things a little bit. But JD Reynolds has got
the fresh one with wine Open. We've got to find
out all about it now, JD.

Speaker 2 (00:19):
What's going on?

Speaker 3 (00:21):
How are y'all?

Speaker 4 (00:22):
We are so good because we get to chat to
you and find out all about this absolute ripper which
you're going to play in a sec. How did One
Eye Open come about for you?

Speaker 5 (00:29):
JD?

Speaker 3 (00:31):
I know it's one of those songs. On to hear
the lyrics, we'll have a lot of questions. I like
to think that one Eye Open will mean what it
means to the listener. What it means to them is
what it means. But personally, for me, it's about family,
the family blood that courses through our veins and country
hearts feeding in our chest. We've really got that all
for one, one for all feeling in our family. Come
at one, Come at all, Matt.

Speaker 4 (00:52):
With the new music that is coming out for you, JD.
Was it something prior to the last couple of years.
Did you have any catalog you've been working over it?

Speaker 3 (01:00):
He wrote a song called whatever. It's always been a
massive country music fan and always known that as an artist,
that's the music that I wanted to release. I rang
one of the arguably one of the best producers in
the world. He was working with Beyond at the time,
and I through the powers that bet you know, I

(01:20):
got his mobile number and I rang it. He was
actually mid session with a major artist and I started
singing to him down the phone and so it's either
you or no one, I said, and I think he
kind of responded quite well. That's when we started working together.
And when I opened the new single is one of
the songs off my upcoming debut album, and it is

(01:41):
a cracker. But he never he never interrupted me. And
the artist in the background, one of the biggest said, wow.

Speaker 5 (01:48):
You see.

Speaker 1 (01:50):
Awesome.

Speaker 4 (01:50):
So we're looking forward to the next feature with Beyonce,
Niles and jay Z just doing some bvs for you.
By the sounds it, I'm on.

Speaker 3 (02:01):
It that people are listening to my tracks and I'm
getting such great feedback on my socials as great.

Speaker 4 (02:06):
That's the kind of energy that we are picking up
from what you're releasing, particular with One Eye Open. So
you were speaking a little bit about your debut album.
Is this what we're expecting? Is this just a nice
little cheeky taste of it?

Speaker 6 (02:20):
It is?

Speaker 3 (02:20):
It is. It's a nice cheeky taste of the debut
album coming out later this year. Yes, the musicians on
it are insane. You've got well we're talking Van Halen,
Aerosmith's Billy Joel him. I don't settle for the second best.
And it's just another one of those things where I
rang Chris and said, I believe you're one of the

(02:41):
best guitarists in the world. That's who I want. I'm
J D. Reynolds. I'm the new kid on the block.
This is my sound. What do you reckon? It's all
just snowball from there. So One I Open is one
of the tracks on the album. It's quirky. I've been
told that it'll make Johnny Cash blush to keep it
pretty pretty raw and real album make for sure.

Speaker 4 (03:01):
Well, that's great that it is true to you, and
that's what is really important to artists in particular who
are investing so much of their time, their blood, They sweat,
their tears, their money into being who they want to be.
And it's exciting for us as listeners and the consumers
to hear the true essence of you shining through.

Speaker 3 (03:19):
Oh thank you, Matt. I really appreciate that my fans
have no doubt that every word I've seen is mine
and it's true. It's literally pages out of my diary
looked out and turned into songs.

Speaker 4 (03:31):
Jed Reynolds, we are going to play it right now.
It's absolutely awesome to chat to you. Super excited not
only to spend it, but to see the album coming out.

Speaker 1 (03:40):
And thanks to spend some time here.

Speaker 3 (03:41):
And I was mate, Thanks for having me, Matt, James Deer.

Speaker 1 (03:44):

track for us?

Speaker 3 (03:47):
