Speaker 1 (00:00):
It's about to go and hang it out with the
biggest sozz he hits at night as we go right
around the country, and Grace amo she is blessing this
country with so much fresh stuff out this year. Kiss
you till I'm sober? Where on earth did this one
come from? Grace Amos as she joins us, here on
I was made.
Speaker 2 (00:15):
Hey, thanks much for having me again.
Speaker 1 (00:17):
I don't know if I've ever kissed anyone so before. Oh,
I've kissed them, so I'm not drunk all the time,
kissed them till the So what is it? What's this story? Grace?
Speaker 2 (00:25):
I wrote this song in my first week at college,
first week, no oh week. It's very intense, a lot
of parting, a lot of meeting new people. I was
hanging out with Mate because I met someone with the
same name as my recent ex boyfriend, and I kind
of wanted to write something that kind of helps me
(00:45):
move on from that relationship. So that's kind of where
this song came from.
Speaker 1 (00:49):
Were they anything like the person you had this relationship with?
Speaker 2 (00:53):
Oh, very very similar, So it was.
Speaker 1 (00:55):
Really it wasn't them in disguise, was it?
Speaker 2 (00:59):
It's not?
Speaker 1 (01:00):
And how's college been going for you? As well. How
are you finding the time to keep the creatives going
along with your furthering education.
Speaker 2 (01:07):
Oh, on the days I don't have new classes, you know,
I'm like writing songs in the studio, recording new music,
and it's it's all going so well. Like it's hard
to find that balance, but going okay for the time being.
Speaker 1 (01:21):
Yeah, and going okay? Is this career that you're just
jet setting off with. We're looking to bring out your
debut EP soon ish well, I.
Speaker 2 (01:29):
Do want to have an EP out, preferably before September,
before my big festival gig at Valley Ways Festival, but
I have plans at the moment to release a few
more singles before that happens.
Speaker 1 (01:42):
Really exciting and a pretty cool list that you're going
to be up there with as well, with like the
Rubens and Midi Kids at the at the Valleywys Festival.
Speaker 2 (01:50):
Yeah, no, the lineup is absolutely incredible. I'm so glad
to work with the artists with Kiss.
Speaker 1 (01:55):
You Till I'm Sober? What else is going to be
accompanying that one?
Speaker 2 (01:58):
It'll be an EP of all new music, So nothing
you know I've released, like including Kissy Time Sober, but
all new stuff that's kind of representative of where my
music is going now, because I did start off with
that country kind of yeah feel. But I think Kissy
Time Sober is kind of bringing forth a new era
of my music, a new era of like subject matter
(02:19):
that I'm singing about. But it feels very much like me,
a more kind of rock niche, which I'm very excited
to share with everyone. Yeah.
Speaker 1 (02:26):
Well, you've got all of those exciting new experiences, like
you said with your first day, giving you inspiration for
this brand new one straight up. Yeah awesome. Well, let's
get this music to the people. Grace Amos, we are
going to play Kiss You Till I'm Sober right here
on OZ made always a pleasure to touch to.
Speaker 2 (02:42):
