Speaker 1 (00:01):
Rob and Kidd now with choreos the podcast.

Speaker 2 (00:06):
So this is something that's bring new the show. Last
week I asked people to join me in the Circle
of trust. This is where I get to tell you
a story on the radio, but you keep it to yourself.
You don't share it, No, you don't.

Speaker 1 (00:16):
It's it's just you. Well, no other people had stories,
other people joined me in trust.

Speaker 2 (00:23):
You're so far.

Speaker 1 (00:23):
That's because I'm the only one brave enough.

Speaker 3 (00:25):
Probably I'll say mine, but it's not as worse as yours.

Speaker 1 (00:28):
Okay, well, it's not a competition, but let's see.

Speaker 2 (00:31):
It's sacle and trust and it moves side.

Speaker 4 (00:42):
That's the only reason why you have.

Speaker 1 (00:47):
It's not I just want to hear yourself. It's so
bad that can you stop to hear what happened?

Speaker 2 (00:53):
Okay, So Siena my eight months she's eight months today,
little bub and so she's not crawling yet or any thing,
but is becoming a lot of fun, smiling and doing
all those things. And so on Sunday morning, I got
up early, and because she was she was waking up
just before six o'clock. So I let Miaomi happ sleep

(01:14):
in and I got I got Siena and I got
raf went downstairs and we hung out for nearly two hours,
just the two of us. An hour and a half
and she's eating some solids now, so I gave her
some breakfast, set her up in her high chest like
mash banana exactly that I mashed up a banana.

Speaker 3 (01:30):
Thank God, not orange.

Speaker 1 (01:31):
No.

Speaker 2 (01:32):
Yeah, well, she loves orange, but she does choke on it,
so I gotta be very careful. And so I was
giving her that and giving her the mash banana, and
I was also sort of sorting out raff is breaking
but mostly mostly taking care of Siana. Then Naomi came downstairs,
and this is where the problem is that she's sort
of set a load to Siena, and I kind.

Speaker 1 (01:53):
Of clocked off that that I was responsible for parenting
was over.

Speaker 2 (02:00):
I started cleaning up, so I wasn't.

Speaker 5 (02:02):
Relating to Naomi that she had Now, okay, you're on, yes.

Speaker 2 (02:08):
So Naomi then started making her breakfast and I was
cleaning up and I'm putting everything away, and out of
the corner of my eye I saw a very fast
movement and then I heard her on the tiles and
I looked over and she was no longer in her
high chair and had pulled herself up over the top.
Oh my god, out of the high chair, onto her head,

(02:28):
onto the ground. Oh okay, it was Honestly, it's one
of the most sickening moments of my life. Like she
started crying instantly, which apparently is good good. So then
so she started bawling, Naomi started bawling, Raphael started bawling.
He went into a ball, like he literally went into

(02:49):
the ground crying while I'm pick her up.

Speaker 1 (02:51):
So everyone's in.

Speaker 2 (02:52):
Tears while I'm sort of trying to put them all together.
And we had like a family colored but you know,
she was crying a lot, so we did then went
straight to she land on her head. She had like
an instant mark on her eye and was at the
top of her head. So she's gone like face planted
on the tops.

Speaker 1 (03:08):
Not too bad, egg. Why So then we went to
the marta.

Speaker 2 (03:14):
And they were fantastic.

Speaker 5 (03:15):
By the way, all children's hospitals they know the anxiety,
they know. I mean, the great thing about Little Bubba's
is that, you know, we laugh about it, but they
do kind of bounce.

Speaker 2 (03:26):
Yeah, And she was fine, and we stayed there for
four hours for observation and no problems. Everything's fine, and
so she's okay. But it was definite one hundredercent of
my watch that and I just didn't realize she because
she was strapped in.

Speaker 1 (03:40):
She wasn't strapped because you didn't expect her to move.
We've never used the straps, she's never needed it.

Speaker 2 (03:44):
She's never been able like she she can't, well she can't,
but until then we didn't know she could pull herself out.

Speaker 1 (03:50):
But she did.

Speaker 3 (03:51):
You treat your parenting like a mining FIFA in clock in,
clock out.

Speaker 2 (03:55):
No.

Speaker 1 (03:55):
No, But while we're at South Bank, I was.

Speaker 2 (04:00):
I took Sorry, So while we're doing the four hours
of waiting, I took raft to South Thing to sort
of occupy him because you know, it's right next door.
So we went for a walk and so as we're walking,
he's gone, Dad, Was that my fault today? And I said, nobody,
it's not your fault at all. He goes, Was it
Donea's fault today? And I said no, it wasn't.

Speaker 1 (04:15):
He goes, Was it one hundred percent your fault? Let's
say yes, mate, he's gone?

Speaker 2 (04:20):
How could you?

Speaker 1 (04:22):
How could you? That's your child? Sorry, buddy, but we're
trying to find that's not mean properly, and then you
put him in the circle of trust.

Speaker 2 (04:36):
So if you have a story to share, and Corey's
got one that he's gonna want.

Speaker 3 (04:41):
To hear this.

Speaker 4 (04:45):
It was so bad.

Speaker 3 (04:46):
It could have been so much worse. But I was
at the park with Harkson, you know, the little baby
swings it's got the clip on him, the chain of Yeah,
you think they're like, you know, well it was in
the end, thank god. And you know, I was swinging
and he loves usually touching little soccer but tiny little
soccer ball, so you swing him and then you step
back and just like just a little lob and and

(05:06):
one of them he decided to try and kick it.
And he's thrown back at the top of the swing.
Mind and he's kicked and he's thrown that far back
it's flipped in like a meter and a half.

Speaker 1 (05:17):
Off the ground, so he's upside down. Yeah, and I
thought he was gone, like it was just slow swinging
down towards the ground.

Speaker 3 (05:24):
Swing and honestly, my heart, my life just flashed from
my eyes. It sunk. And then next minute that somehow
his legs just got wenched in between both chains, So
the chains that go to the top like the swinger
connected to and the chain across his hips like like
clamped his legs. So he's hanging up up like his

(05:45):
head would have missed the ground by a bee's.

Speaker 1 (05:49):
Whisker, Like, just I just did you tell Taken?

Speaker 3 (05:54):
Yeah, it's kind of half the story, but like just
my life. I just everything froze so quick and I'm like, oh,
thank God. And he was so shocked, like he was
just seeing a ghost, like and then five seconds later
he's like, can we go again?

Speaker 2 (06:08):
Okay?

Speaker 1 (06:08):
Yeah, Lauren out of west, Like, welcome to the circle
of trust, Lauren.

Speaker 4 (06:18):
Hi, what happened?

Speaker 2 (06:20):
What did you do?

Speaker 4 (06:21):
A sun woke up Kegan and complaining wasn't feeling good
in the chest area. And we had curry the night before,
and I SIT's indigestion. You'll be fine. Drink some water,
you'll give it over it slow, some cement. And so
then this went on all week, and so by Wednesday
he was saying it was worse, and I'm well, obviously,
you know it. We'll be fine. And then Wednesday night

(06:44):
I sent him to singing lessons and mind you, this
kid studies musical theater.

Speaker 1 (06:48):
So you can act.

Speaker 4 (06:49):
And so I'm like, no, you're not going to have
a lend of me this way. So this went on
till Thursday. He was a little bit more uncomfortable, and
then Friday, we have a rule at home that if
you don't go to school, you can't go to the
football Broncos. So Friday morning he gets up, goes to
school and then we get a phone call at work
and or my husband got the call and he said,

(07:13):
the school says, Keithan has to go to hospital. He's
really not well. And I said, well, I'm too busy,
so you'll have to take him. So he said all right,
But I said, you tell him on the way to
the Wesley. If this is an act, he's paying the
outpatients bill, I'm not paying it. Coming out of hell.
This kid he would have been he was in year eleven,

(07:34):
so sixteen sixteen.

Speaker 1 (07:36):
Even on the way to hospital, You're still off, Lauren,
what was wrong with him?

Speaker 4 (07:44):
Well? Then I got a photo and they had a
line into the side of him. He had a collapse lung.

Speaker 2 (07:48):
Oh, and you told him got indigestion.

Speaker 1 (07:53):
Suck it up. Whole week of.

Speaker 4 (07:56):
Surgery, six weeks in hospital, he had a spontaneous new methorax.
So I don't know what that mean.

Speaker 1 (08:06):
Is he all right now?

Speaker 4 (08:08):
Well he's had another couple of them. He st of
phoned me as well, yeah, and I said, all right,
So it's indigestion again. Oh I just thought when they
had this big line going into the side of him
and they're going, well he's it's collapse that bad, it's
moved his heart. Oh okay, so it's not indigestion.

Speaker 2 (08:30):
Well it's not, and we're not judging you.

Speaker 1 (08:32):
In fact is we're thanking you for sharing your story.

Speaker 2 (08:36):
You score one hundred and fifty dollars to spend at
Brisbane's Freshest Flowers and gives some flowers for everyone dot
com dot au and you can have those.

Speaker 1 (08:44):
Flowers in your house. That a reminder that you can
be a better mother, best Yeah, we are thanks for sharing.

Speaker 4 (08:55):
He's twenty seven now, so he's not

Speaker 1 (08:58):
That's all you got to do a fun
