Speaker 2 (00:26):
Robin and Kibb Now with Choreots the podcast Good Day,
It's Robin and Kiff Now with Choreots. The podcast now
coming up as half halfway through, we're going to get
to a couple of calls that we didn't get to
on the show today, but they were doozies because I

(00:46):
spoke and you'll hear this soon about things that are
unacceptable at hotels.

Speaker 3 (00:51):
Got a lot of text messages came through as well.

Speaker 4 (00:52):
People have seen things at hotels.

Speaker 5 (00:55):
Things that are gross that you're actually paying for the privilege.

Speaker 2 (00:57):
Yes, like people pulling back the bedspreads and just finding
pubes Like she.

Speaker 6 (01:03):
Always think that it's just going to be clean, Like
you assume it's going to be clean, and you know
fresh and towns and ye all the above.

Speaker 5 (01:13):
Yes, we had one on the text line.

Speaker 1 (01:14):
Laura said, I used to work in a five star
hotel in Melbourne. The worst thing is putting a used
cause condom in the bin without tying it.

Speaker 2 (01:22):
Oh yeah, tissue, especially when you see those bins, you know,
sometimes at a hotel there's a bin that's got no lining.

Speaker 3 (01:29):
I mean, how is it going to get out of
there unless no?

Speaker 2 (01:31):
I know?

Speaker 1 (01:32):
And another thing was oil prints left on the glass
of the window for handprints and two boot prints couple of.

Speaker 7 (01:42):
The window.

Speaker 2 (01:45):
Your windows there, well, I mean your feet textics test.

Speaker 4 (01:50):
Yes, that is for the hotel to take to take
care of. But you have to.

Speaker 2 (01:53):
Also, you know, in the cleaner's defense, they're not going
past the glass going wonder if this ditties up against.

Speaker 3 (02:00):
Deer during the last twenty four hours.

Speaker 2 (02:03):
True, we'll get to one of those halfway through the podcast.

Speaker 8 (02:08):
Now with.

Speaker 9 (02:10):
Us give me with Robin Kith and Coyotes.

Speaker 10 (02:18):
This is Confessions for Cash.

Speaker 2 (02:24):
Isaiah added Logan back on the phone. It was a
pretty emotional story. You told us about a twelve year
old daughter that you've never met.

Speaker 11 (02:32):
Yes, Jeff, thank you for that too.

Speaker 1 (02:34):
Yeah, you were really upset, and I mean, it has
the time. Let you kind of think about it. Are
you feeling okay about it all?

Speaker 11 (02:42):
I'm feeling okay about it all. The concept of initially
making the contact, if it's at all possible become as
possible is a very scary thought for me at the moment.

Speaker 1 (02:55):
But we left it with you saying that we have
this great guy called p I Dave who is our
own private investigator from oz Trace Investigations, and he is amazing.
Have you thought, do you want us to try and
get him involved?

Speaker 11 (03:12):
I think overrules, probably his best that I at least
try to move forward and try to do something about
the situation, I guess, and at least try to make
contact at some stage might find the strengths.

Speaker 12 (03:23):
Yes, yeah, so you want us to help, and yes, please?

Speaker 11 (03:26):
Yeah, no, I'd greatly appreciate it.

Speaker 4 (03:28):
Okay, because the next step is trying to find this.

Speaker 2 (03:31):
Is the lady that you had the child with, the
twelve year old who you've never met. You saw her
the other day at the shops, but you've had no
contact with her for twelve years. So our next step
then is to talk to PI Dave and see if
he can track her down.

Speaker 4 (03:43):
And you want us to do that.

Speaker 11 (03:45):
I would greatly appreciate just having the option knowing that
I could make contact if and when I'm strong enough,
I guess, yeah.

Speaker 1 (03:52):
Okay, So how would you feel if we kind of
did that?

Speaker 5 (03:55):
Now?

Speaker 1 (03:56):
PI Dave is a great friend of ours. We can
get him up and I'm sure if he's available right now,
it'll give you a couple of minutes to kind of
get yourself together. But let's try and get PI Dave up.
You can have a chat to him and I'll see
where this goes.

Speaker 5 (04:10):
Are you up for that?

Speaker 12 (04:11):
Yeah?

Speaker 11 (04:12):
I think I managed that one today. Yeah, absolutely right.

Speaker 4 (04:14):
Okay that one second, mate?

Speaker 11 (04:16):
Thank you?

Speaker 9 (04:18):
Ron Kid. Now with CoreOS the podcast.

Speaker 10 (04:23):
Give Me the Cash with Robin Kid and Coyos. This
is Confessions for Cash.

Speaker 2 (04:36):
So we're back with Isaiah. He has a twelve year
old daughter he's never met. He saw her the other day,
just walk by her in the shops.

Speaker 1 (04:42):
Because, as Iah, you made the agreement with the mother
of this child that when she had the baby, you
would have absolutely nothing to do with them.

Speaker 11 (04:50):
Neither one of us were going to mention her anything
about me, even if we were still friends at the time,
It'll still going to be kept completely secret. It was
never to be spoken of.

Speaker 1 (05:02):
And that worked until you saw her literally across the
street last week or.

Speaker 5 (05:07):
The week before.

Speaker 2 (05:09):
Yeah, so you've had a change of heart, and I
guess now we want to find out if she potentially
has has had a change of heart, and if there's
any chance that you could meet.

Speaker 1 (05:18):
Yeah, well we've got a guy who can find.

Speaker 12 (05:21):
People his neighborhood.

Speaker 5 (05:24):
Yeah, he's one of the great friends of the show.
We love p I.

Speaker 1 (05:28):
Dave from Ostre's Investigations, Hey Dave, Morning team.

Speaker 2 (05:33):
Hey mate, now you've been Have you heard most of
Isaiah's story?

Speaker 1 (05:39):
Yeah?

Speaker 13 (05:39):
I have. I just tuned into that little bit there
and listened intently. So it's an interesting situation.

Speaker 5 (05:46):
Yeah, can you help?

Speaker 13 (05:49):
Of course we can do if you guys will certainly
the best we can.

Speaker 4 (05:55):
Okay, unreal, what.

Speaker 5 (05:57):
Do you need to know from Isaiah.

Speaker 13 (06:00):
The mother's full name? Obviously is best that you know
that he recalls the information of her details, and from
that will go about and see what information we can find.
Hopefully it's not a reasonably common name and it's you know,
he's got some details that we can start, and then
we'll go about and do our thing from there.

Speaker 2 (06:22):
Do you think this is going to be a fairly
achievable goal?

Speaker 12 (06:26):
Oh, I'd hope so.

Speaker 13 (06:27):
I mean from the information that I've heard so far, Look,
I mean, it sounds like it's definitely going to be
somewhere to start. We're pretty confident of the area that
she's in by the sounds of Isaiah's story. So hopefully
that can you know, pinpoint us to the right location,
and then once we've done that, we can confirm that
and then come back to you. Guys, how do.

Speaker 5 (06:50):
You feel about that?

Speaker 11 (06:51):
I feel okay about that. I think I'll be happy
to Yeah.

Speaker 1 (06:55):
So on some level, mate, if you know that and
you've rung us, there is a big part of you
that just wants an answer, right.

Speaker 11 (07:04):
I just want to hope if she was a gift
old enough and she did ask about me, what she
allowed to happen, Okay, I'd out freeman. But at the
same time, when she becomes a woman at eighteen, is
your mother still going to be allowing to you know,
anything from there or not?

Speaker 12 (07:25):
What's been what twelve years? I think you said? Was it?
Was it twelve years?

Speaker 11 (07:28):
Thirteen years there?

Speaker 6 (07:29):
Yeah, so a lot can change over that time, So
hopefully for you we can get a really positive outcome.

Speaker 11 (07:38):
I'm a home h hooping, so yeah, it's I know, like
I said yesterday, that you could do a lot of
destruction through relationships and personalities and some family especially, So yeah,
I'm worried about that. But at the same time, I'm
willing to to see what can happen from it.

Speaker 1 (07:59):
Yeah. Yeah, Dave, you're not going to make contact though,
are you. What you're going to do is a fact
finding thing at this point in time.

Speaker 13 (08:08):
Yeah, absolutely. I mean that is something for me to
give to consideration the whole situation or any situation that
we become involved in like this. It's it's something that
I think very carefully about and whether whether it's in
the best interest of the parties to release sort of
this information. Hence why I'll have a conversation with Osaiah

(08:32):
off air and just determine, you know, where he's going
with this and what he wants to do and if
he has got some professional device. We certainly we will
not be making any contact or any inquiries with any child.
That's certainly not what we're about. In regards to the mother,
absolutely we can. You know, we'll do our best to
define her. But as I said, it's not a right

(08:54):
of passage that someone gets this information off I don't
think it's in the best interests of all parties concerns.
So that's something that I take quite seriously and as
I said, well, we'll work towards getting a goal that's
that's you know, that's achievable for all parties.

Speaker 4 (09:09):
Yeah, that's good. You see why were like him.

Speaker 11 (09:15):
And I've heard many times how good he is at
his job.

Speaker 1 (09:18):
He's a fox terrier with moral, the moral company, with
the heart of a labrador.

Speaker 2 (09:29):
All right, well we'll leave you two to have a
conversation and and and get what what details p I.
Dave needs and and we'll talk to you again with
the next steps and hopefully we've got some some details
and see where we go from there.

Speaker 11 (09:41):
Thank you very much, you three. I greatly appreciate your
time in all this.

Speaker 5 (09:46):
Good luck, good luck, Thanks p I Day.

Speaker 13 (09:49):
Thanks guys, take care.

Speaker 9 (09:52):
Ron Now with courios.

Speaker 2 (09:57):
The this last long weekend, we didn't go away over
the Easter break, but we did have a little family
trip to to Malula Bar for that long weekend. Just
gone and found I found a place this somewhere we
stayed I think it was December last year, where they
have like a ground floor apartment that are like attached
to the other ground floor apartments. There's a balcony but

(10:18):
you can sort of like just move a rope out
of the way and then you then you can share
a balcony if you know the.

Speaker 4 (10:22):
People next door, that's cool.

Speaker 3 (10:24):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (10:24):
So we had five, four couples with all of our.

Speaker 2 (10:27):
Kids were all about the same age, and we just
got the four ground floor places next to each other,
took off the ropes and the kids just went.

Speaker 4 (10:34):
Nuts for three days.

Speaker 5 (10:35):
How fun.

Speaker 4 (10:37):
Oh man, they had such a ball. They were scooting.

Speaker 3 (10:39):
They must have scooted like fifty kilometers.

Speaker 5 (10:41):
By how many kids were there then.

Speaker 2 (10:42):
Only six and Siena was the youngs but that you know,
another couple there that were preggers, and so like, it's
just going to keep going, you would think. And so Siena,
our eleven month old, was.

Speaker 4 (10:54):
The youngest there.

Speaker 2 (10:55):
And but that was great as well because everyone would
just come and grab the baby.

Speaker 4 (10:58):
You take away for a bit. We have a few beers.

Speaker 12 (11:01):
You know, what would stop you having beers anyway, Well.

Speaker 4 (11:07):
No one had to drive anywhere.

Speaker 2 (11:08):
We're all right there and the kids could go to sleep,
and so we had the baby monitor out on the
balcony or whatever and everyone's just having wines.

Speaker 3 (11:13):
It's fine.

Speaker 2 (11:15):
There was a problem and this is and I haven't
I'm gonna I'm gonna send them this feedback the people
because it was a great place to stay.

Speaker 4 (11:24):
But they had those those.

Speaker 2 (11:27):
Old cover all sort of dounas on the beds that
were like ones that used to see in the motels
back in the day, from like the nineties and you
probably still see them now. That like they have the
pillows sort of somehow underneath the cover and it's fully
fitted to the bed. And that was the Dona. But
it's one of those things that stays on the bed.
Like they don't they don't wash it. It doesn't get

(11:48):
laundered in between guests.

Speaker 4 (11:50):
Hey, yes, because it stays. It's a fitted thing.

Speaker 2 (11:54):
And so unless there's like signs of bodily effluvia they were,
I assume they'll they'll wash it then, but otherwise they
just keep it there. And so when you're sleeping in
the bed, you know that this douner cover that you've
got because it was cold, you know it was still wintery.
You know, it's not fresh, and you know that other
people been sleeping on it.

Speaker 5 (12:11):
Okay, but the sheets are fresh between the but you have.

Speaker 2 (12:15):
Your I always have an arm out. Yeah, so my
arm's out on the gross donner.

Speaker 5 (12:19):
I'm trying to work out what it is.

Speaker 4 (12:22):
I guess it's a cover all, it's not a doner.
It's like a.

Speaker 5 (12:26):
It's attached to something.

Speaker 2 (12:27):
It's a thick cotton thing that's that stays on the
I mean you could take it off, but it was
freezing and there's no blankets, so you had to have
it on and you didn't have a doner. Are you
Are you agreeing with me that this is gross because
I feel like they need to be washed and if
you don't have something that's getting washed.

Speaker 1 (12:40):
Okay, So my solution to that would be to care
reception and say I need blankets.

Speaker 4 (12:45):
They don't have, like it was laundry.

Speaker 2 (12:47):
But you know it's one of those resorts where there's
a nice couple run on the place.

Speaker 4 (12:50):
But they're not there much. Actually let you in and
then say so you later have a great weekend.

Speaker 1 (12:54):
Blankets wouldn't have been laundered between guests. I mean, in fact,
nothing would be except your own doner cover.

Speaker 2 (13:02):
So yeah, but no, when you stay at a hotel,
they you know you got they they give you. You know,
there's a fresh doner or there at least sheets on
either side of the dinner and it's fresh. And sometimes
they have that thing at the end of the bed
which is revolting, and I take that away.

Speaker 3 (13:15):
Sometimes I get the ice tongs and I'll pick it up.

Speaker 4 (13:18):
That take that.

Speaker 2 (13:19):
Away is that because people, you know, couples, they go
to a hotel and they were like, oh here we
are at a hotel, let's get it on, and they
don't take that thing off, and they do it right
on there. You don't use that thing, Yeah, people use
it to do it on And that's why I take
it off and put it on the floor in the corner,
and then they would touch it again.

Speaker 12 (13:36):
It's going to be a fun trip.

Speaker 4 (13:39):
So our whole effectively one one big sex mattress for
other people.

Speaker 3 (13:45):
And I don't want to be anywhere near.

Speaker 12 (13:47):
But the thing is, you didn't find out for sure.

Speaker 4 (13:49):
You don't know, and I can't take a blue light.
I'm not that, but I know did you ask?

Speaker 3 (13:54):
I know? I know that.

Speaker 4 (13:55):
Okay, isn't that?

Speaker 5 (13:57):
No? No, I mean I think it happens every time.

Speaker 1 (14:01):
I don't, in fact, trying to think about even like
really expensive hotels, they just put double sheets on top
of the blank.

Speaker 2 (14:08):
Fine, double sheets is fine, and I'm touching fresh sheet.
I don't want to be touching anything that's been that
other people have been touching, especially if they're nude. What
don't you thirty one oh six fives out number? You
can agree with me on that if you want, or
you can tell us what what do you find in
a hotel that you just think is well? What's grace
in a hotel? That's unacceptable?

Speaker 5 (14:27):
Tingernails under the bed?

Speaker 4 (14:33):
Thirtive?

Speaker 9 (14:34):
What is it for you? Running here now with Correos
the podcast?

Speaker 4 (14:40):
Yes, we're talking about what's unacceptable that hotels. For me,
it's very simple.

Speaker 2 (14:43):
I just don't like I need fresh dooners, you know,
like the cover all that stays on the bed, guests
after guest.

Speaker 1 (14:49):
So Tracy of Logan Reserve, what is the disgusting thing
you've seen in a hotel?

Speaker 14 (14:56):
Well, we're actually staying at an abb and be down
the Gold Coast and.

Speaker 15 (15:00):
My husband's a bit of a snooze.

Speaker 14 (15:01):
You like, going and looking in drawers and everything, and
let's just.

Speaker 16 (15:04):
Say he found a pair of crusty nickers.

Speaker 2 (15:09):
Crust he picked them up, Okay, stop talking.

Speaker 4 (15:18):
Picked up with tongues.

Speaker 12 (15:19):
Now.

Speaker 3 (15:19):
I hope somebody washed those tongs because if they went back.

Speaker 5 (15:25):
Loreisa Callum Vale got a horror story.

Speaker 15 (15:28):
What is it hi guys, keep on with you. I
would not be touching those juniors. My life depended on it,
thank you. Just on from that crusty underwear stories. They
used to work in aviation and I was somebody who
loved that cup of tea at the end of the day.
And I was advised by crew do not use the
kettle in hotels, and I'm like why. They're like, crew

(15:49):
don't use it to boil noodles. They also use it
to clean their underwears. International kettles were just known as
under tea, so you just never.

Speaker 3 (16:03):
In, Yeah, I have a cup of tea.

Speaker 6 (16:07):
You're drinking someone's underwear.

Speaker 12 (16:11):
The wine.

Speaker 5 (16:15):
That's extraordinary.

Speaker 3 (16:18):
Still having speak.

Speaker 4 (16:19):
Listen, I'm hoping I don't if we can avoid it.

Speaker 1 (16:23):
Chris from Wellington Point, what have you found in a
hotel room?

Speaker 17 (16:26):
Yeah, morning, guys. I used to work as a concierge
back in the day in the city and I used
to see a lot of things, but one of the
worst would have been on the vanity A used condom
in all of its juices.

Speaker 2 (16:39):
At least they use it propably exactly.

Speaker 18 (16:46):
Couldn't find a bin?

Speaker 4 (16:47):
I couldn't find.

Speaker 3 (16:48):
I mean, there's bins available and we know that there's bins.

Speaker 12 (16:52):
What's wrong with people?

Speaker 4 (16:55):
Okay, give me, just wrap it up.

Speaker 3 (16:58):
Let's just give it.

Speaker 2 (16:59):
Let's give the rids of the prize, because that was
that's a good warning about cattle.

Speaker 12 (17:03):
So you've had on a plane? Yeah, at a hotel.

Speaker 4 (17:07):
Yeah, I don't do it on the plane.

Speaker 1 (17:11):
Do it at the international hotels where like airline cruise stage.

Speaker 12 (17:15):
Sure.

Speaker 1 (17:16):
And the reason we've got two hundred dollars fun lab.

Speaker 2 (17:19):
Voucher, two hundred bucks to spend claiming fun back at
this end of financial year with a fully catered work
function at strike Holy Moly, Archie Brothers or Hijink's Hotel.

Speaker 1 (17:30):
On the other is yeah, is that no longer in
the aviation industry?

Speaker 9 (17:42):
Row now the podcast.

Speaker 2 (17:47):
Halfway through the podcasts, some of the callers we never
got to on the show proper today talking about hotels.
Darren out of Springfield talking about things unacceptable in hotels.

Speaker 14 (17:56):
What do you got so the ice buckets? So you
get in the hotels where you can put your free
ice in the Yeah, people use them to spew, and
you clean them properly and then you put ice in it.
Put that ice in your drink.

Speaker 2 (18:15):
Even though I know, but when you said it just
makes it worse. I know that that's true. I've heard
that like those because you don't have a bucket in there.
If someone's drink drunk too much, that's the closest thing
you've got, and that's where they have dispute, and that's probably.

Speaker 14 (18:28):
And you know what, I just don't might just give
them a Craig wrinch, But yeah, I've never cleaned them properly.

Speaker 2 (18:34):
That's not getting any cussins morning fresh in it, thank.

Speaker 12 (18:37):
You, Darren.

Speaker 1 (18:39):
No the first like, Hi, what you say, what's unacceptable
in a hotel?

Speaker 18 (18:47):
Well, we stayed in a hotel in Kingscliff last Christmas
and we sort of got there late, went to bed late,
and we didn't realize until the morning, but when we
sort of kicked the sheets off, there was bodily fluids
outlines and maybe female bodily fluid and body hair. He

(19:11):
just hadn't even changed.

Speaker 4 (19:14):
You just slept in a stranger's bed.

Speaker 18 (19:16):
A stranger's bed that night.

Speaker 3 (19:19):
That's gross.

Speaker 5 (19:20):
That's great, there's a choice there. I mean, even the floor,
with all its grossness is.

Speaker 18 (19:25):
Possibly pretty much came in after the last people.

Speaker 4 (19:31):
And yeah, tuck it in and on their way. That's disgusting.

Speaker 12 (19:37):
If you wake up with a pub.

Speaker 18 (19:41):
It was quite a possibility.

Speaker 3 (19:44):
I'm trying to look across your lovely father.

Speaker 4 (19:47):
That was on your face.

Speaker 2 (19:48):
Some thanks, no, thank you.

Speaker 19 (20:00):
Now with Corey Podcast Corys Corey's Little League.

Speaker 3 (20:14):
I think was Chris who had the idea for the name.

Speaker 4 (20:17):
Yesterday called the show right after you gave us your idea.

Speaker 3 (20:19):
So you want to bring back the fun in rugby league, Corey.

Speaker 12 (20:22):
Yeah, I think when it gets to a certain age.

Speaker 6 (20:26):
Yeah, at the moment, I feel like kids are just
losing that love for it and passionate And to be honest,
it should be the age I feel like you should
be enjoying it the most. Like eleven twelve years old,
you're still in primary school.

Speaker 12 (20:40):
You know you're towards the end of it, so you
better go to high school.

Speaker 6 (20:43):
So I've just noticed that I don't think the kids
are as passionate about it as I was when I
was that age. And everyone needs to play and everyone
needs to have fun, and the skill levels was so
different where I grew up, and you know, it was
just a fun day out with your mates.

Speaker 5 (20:58):
Okay, so we want to recreate that, Yes, I get
it back to it.

Speaker 3 (21:02):
So we'll have a North versus South team, So I
turn to the North team from.

Speaker 4 (21:05):
The South of Brisbane. Yeah, and what age groups are
you looking at?

Speaker 12 (21:08):
Well, eleven or twelve?

Speaker 6 (21:10):
Okay, eleven twelve year olds just because that's the age
of I think is really yeah, losing the the enjoying
and the fun for the game.

Speaker 2 (21:19):
And that's when it separates from the girls and boys
have to separate after thirteen, don't they.

Speaker 12 (21:24):
I think?

Speaker 5 (21:24):
So usually do we want to have girls in this side?

Speaker 11 (21:27):
Yeah?

Speaker 6 (21:27):
Yeah, girls and boys obviously can't do tackle just because
of the gap I guess of skill levels, and we
only have a short amount of time. We're gonna do
some tackle techniques at the training day. Ah good, yeah, definitely,
just so we can give kids stuff to you. Yeah,
so we're doing I was tag type which is still
pretty entertaining, pretty fun.

Speaker 2 (21:47):
And in your mind, are we going to play a
game somewhere, like you know, on a big stage of
some sort.

Speaker 6 (21:53):
Yeah, there's a there's a team that's pretty close to me,
South Slaga Magpies.

Speaker 12 (22:00):
They helped me a lot.

Speaker 6 (22:01):
Actually, it's probably restarted my career, to be honest, right,
so the guy that's to see the CEO there now
hopefully going to try and get him.

Speaker 5 (22:12):
I was just about to call, does he know about.

Speaker 4 (22:16):
At halftime or something?

Speaker 12 (22:17):
Yeah, it's a great place to do it.

Speaker 11 (22:19):
I think.

Speaker 1 (22:19):
Okay, well that's the next thing we can add to
the list to sort out. But if you want to
be involved, there is an application from you can check
all the details and the conditions. Just go to Kiss
ninety seven three dot com dot AU.

Speaker 5 (22:32):
But it is up and flying.

Speaker 4 (22:34):
Yes, be part of Corey's Little League. Kiss ninety seven
three dot com dot A.

Speaker 7 (22:37):
You now with the podcast, your scheme is handle Cory's Little.

Speaker 3 (22:51):
Cory's Little League is coming together.

Speaker 2 (22:53):
This is an idea that Corey brought to the show
yes today before you, an idea of just bringing the
fun back to rugby league.

Speaker 4 (23:00):
And we're getting as much help as possible, and this
morning we have help by way of Matt Gillette.

Speaker 2 (23:09):
I always want to say that it's Gillet's Gillett. I
used to you know, I used to do the the
on ground stuff of the Broncos. Well, Matt often won
man at the match and I would have to speak
to him after the game and I'll be standing there
with a mic in front of forty thousand going it's
Gill's Gill and I go, Matt Gillette, Well that's why
you got sas maybe, but here's some of his highlights.

Speaker 10 (23:29):
He's changing.

Speaker 9 (23:32):
Well they got the numbers. Gilipcot for Brisbane. Well you
can't defend against that sort of brilliance.

Speaker 2 (23:43):
He played in the second row, an unbelievable player for
Brisbane and for and for Queensland.

Speaker 5 (23:49):
And he joins, hiss, hey, Matte, good morning, how.

Speaker 8 (23:51):
Are we all?

Speaker 4 (23:52):
Maddy? Very good mate?

Speaker 12 (23:53):
It was it nice here in the old days, mate, mate.

Speaker 20 (23:57):
I'm actually sitting out at the front of the Broncos
training facility now mate, So yeah, it Kingles in the
body mate.

Speaker 4 (24:05):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (24:05):
Well I mean I refer to you as the former
Origin Great now that's that's correct in one sense, and
that you are a former Origin Great, but you're also
working for the former Origin greats.

Speaker 8 (24:15):
Yes, that's correct.

Speaker 2 (24:16):
Yeah.

Speaker 20 (24:16):
I started my journey there in January last year.

Speaker 8 (24:20):
So very excited and enjoying my role there.

Speaker 12 (24:24):
You know something, what is.

Speaker 4 (24:26):
Your what do you guys actually do?

Speaker 5 (24:29):
I imagine you sit around at the pub with.

Speaker 20 (24:34):
There'll be some long days and small mornings if I
was doing that. So yeah, Fogs are We sort of
work on four four pillars here at Foggs. We're a
non non for profit organization. One of our big arms
of the organization is the d Academy, which was which
is Arthur Beaton and it's it seems the legacy that

(24:58):
he before he left us. He's out Fog number one.
So he's vision and legacy he wanted to leave behind
was getting the Indigenous kids to school, attending school and
coming out and giving themselves the best opportunity. So the
Ardia Academy is an attendance base program where the kids

(25:21):
they reached ninety percent in their in their program through
the primer in high schools, they get a.

Speaker 8 (25:27):
Little reward every term to get them through school.

Speaker 20 (25:30):
So we believe that that could be the break for
kids rocking up school in the high school. They also
have a driving licensing program attached to it as well,
so a lot of incentives there for the kids.

Speaker 8 (25:43):
To rock up, be above that nine percent and get
rewarded for that. And the three other pillars that we
sort of work on as well.

Speaker 20 (25:51):
We support the Origin series which is.

Speaker 8 (25:54):
Coming up shortly. It's going to be a Cracker.

Speaker 20 (25:56):
We raised money for various charities through our events. One
of our events being the four x Fogs Charry Lunch,
which is always the day before the Brisbane State of
Origin game. We're almost sold out there with six hundred
and fifty people. Also added a golf day and a
race day this year as well, so we'll raise money
for various charities that always sort of connect back to

(26:18):
the Fogs as well.

Speaker 1 (26:19):
Do you know what I take out of this conversation, Matt,
is that you know what you're doing and you can
organize events.

Speaker 8 (26:27):
Yes, I can organize. I've got a lot of help
and one of the great tag and.

Speaker 20 (26:36):
But the last, the last pillar that we work on
is we support grassroots rugby league. So I suppose, you know,
with Corey's idea, which is its great that he's come
up with this Cory's Little League concept, but it's going
to be awesome. So yeah, one of our pillars and
the way we can sort of help as well as
supporting through a grassroots rugby league.

Speaker 2 (26:57):
Oh great, So you can help us out with some
of the stuff because there's a lot, you know, just
to put on a game where there's uniforms, So what
do you want Matt to do.

Speaker 8 (27:07):
Has Corey kicked off anything yet?

Speaker 12 (27:11):
I thought the main one. I thought of the idea.

Speaker 6 (27:14):
Okay with that Without my brain doing all that work,
I'll tell you what, it wouldn't be happening.

Speaker 4 (27:18):
The calls of the show.

Speaker 3 (27:19):
We even named it.

Speaker 2 (27:22):
Love that hey Matt before we let you go, and
thank you so much for the help that you're going
to do.

Speaker 4 (27:28):
Give us for this. But Queensland state of origin? Who
would you put at fullback?

Speaker 12 (27:33):
Right now?

Speaker 4 (27:33):
If you had to name the fullback?

Speaker 8 (27:34):
Who do you?

Speaker 20 (27:35):
Who?

Speaker 4 (27:35):
Do your name?

Speaker 11 (27:37):
Do I name?

Speaker 4 (27:39):
Okay?

Speaker 1 (27:40):
From the nice it's playing, well, you're all agreeing with
your name and look great.

Speaker 8 (27:45):
We're here to support Corys in the league. So will
definitely help spread the word through you know, the junior clubs.
I'm sure we are connections. We'll be able to connect
chorus with thanks.

Speaker 5 (27:57):
That's really good. Yeah, because girls and boys oz tag.

Speaker 1 (28:01):
It's going to be under twelves and if you want
to register and you get all this stuff that you
need to know, it's just got to our website KSS
money seven three dot com dot are you?

Speaker 4 (28:08):
Thanks to you?

Speaker 8 (28:10):
Beautiful?

Speaker 20 (28:10):
Thank you guys.

Speaker 4 (28:12):
I'll speaking to you again, no doubt.

Speaker 3 (28:14):
Has you helped hold Corey's hand through this process?

Speaker 12 (28:16):
Yeah? Why not bring the family back? Why not?

Speaker 15 (28:20):
Now?

Speaker 2 (28:21):
Corey AD's on Kiss ninety seven to three, Robin's Preppiness
for Mother's Day right after this.

Speaker 9 (28:27):
Now with the podcast.

Speaker 5 (28:31):
Mother's Day is on Sunday. So boys, take this.

Speaker 9 (28:35):
Attention.

Speaker 5 (28:36):
This is your Mother's Day warning.

Speaker 4 (28:40):
Kay, all right, listen up?

Speaker 1 (28:42):
Okay, So, and the reason why we are doing this,
let us chat to Emma of Mount Cravat because what
happened to her last year was diabolical.

Speaker 16 (28:52):
Emma, Hello, last year was my very first Mother's Day
and I opened my card on Mother's Day all excited
and that he hadn't.

Speaker 18 (29:01):
Written in it.

Speaker 4 (29:03):
So so he just bought a card? Did just buy
a card?

Speaker 11 (29:07):
No?

Speaker 3 (29:08):
No, my mother?

Speaker 16 (29:09):
Actually I found it AFTERDS that my mother actually bought
the card for him to give to me, and he
didn't write in the car.

Speaker 3 (29:16):
Did he assume that she has not only brought you
the card but written in it for him? So the
car talking?

Speaker 20 (29:26):
She really did.

Speaker 5 (29:27):
That's a really bad the office. Are we knowing that
Sunday is going to get any better?

Speaker 16 (29:34):
I have said multiple warnings, there's been that alarm going
off in my house every morning.

Speaker 9 (29:41):
Time.

Speaker 5 (29:43):
Fair enough, good luck, Emma. I hope your Mother's Day
is glorious.

Speaker 4 (29:47):
Fingers crossed, fingers crossed.

Speaker 5 (29:49):
This is why, Fellas.

Speaker 1 (29:50):
I just wanted to check in and if you have
any questions or anything that you're unclear about the female
language leading into Mother's Day, I am here to help.

Speaker 5 (30:00):
Corey. What are you doing?

Speaker 12 (30:02):
Surprise?

Speaker 4 (30:03):
You're doing your surprise? Are you surprising yourself because you
don't know yet?

Speaker 5 (30:09):
Okay, but you have to do something. Promise me you're
going to do something.

Speaker 12 (30:12):
Yeah, well, I'm obviously going to do something where it's
from the kids.

Speaker 6 (30:15):
So I'll go buy some stuff that the kids can
obviously right or make or whatever for Okay.

Speaker 1 (30:23):
The worst thing anyone can ever say is you're not
my mother.

Speaker 3 (30:27):
I know that, honestly.

Speaker 2 (30:30):
I actually really honestly, without this show, I think I
would be in big trouble. Because we did speak about
this a couple of days ago and I and you said,
what are you doing for Naomi?

Speaker 4 (30:37):
And I was like, well, you know, she's not my mum,
that's my girlfriend, and.

Speaker 2 (30:41):
And then of course it's her first Mother's Day with
our baby, and then it's all clicked, and so I've
you know, I've since made amends and I've done things.

Speaker 5 (30:51):
Because you are the only person that can.

Speaker 1 (30:53):
That's right, So yes, I mean i'd also ask you,
are you going to do anything for Amber, which is
Rafi's mom.

Speaker 2 (31:01):
I actually I nearly screwed that up as well. But
because they're doing the Mother's Day school at his stall
at his school and and so you have to give
the kids five bucks and they'll buy something for their mum.
And so I did that, I paid that and then
I went, oh wait, hang on, I got to do
that twice. So I went back in and so now
he's got one for both mums because he's got one

(31:22):
for Naomi one for Ambus.

Speaker 4 (31:24):
So yes, well done, I've got that covered.

Speaker 5 (31:26):
Because the thing about this is question.

Speaker 4 (31:30):
But I've got other stuff for Naomi and.

Speaker 1 (31:33):
He's ringing it's not about And for every mom that
says I don't want something, what that means is I
don't want you to spend a lot of money on me,
but I want you to at least help the kids
create a moment where she feels valued. That's all this is, yes, right,
because and you get this Father's Day, it can be reciprocated.

(31:53):
And I think dads want different things out of Father's Day,
but I think for mums it's just giving your children
an opportunity, and that can be breakfast in bed, that
can be a card where if your little ones just
draw all over it, like it's showing that you're putting
energy and effort into recognizing the role these amazing people

(32:14):
have in your life.

Speaker 12 (32:16):
It's Sunday, isn't it.

Speaker 2 (32:19):
I've seen breakfast invest I've seen breakfast in bed complaints
from moms before though, where like the dath like they.

Speaker 4 (32:25):
Just make an absolute nightmare in the kitchen.

Speaker 2 (32:28):
Then they bring the breakfast and get it all over
the sheets and dinner, and then the dad goes anyway,
I'm off to go.

Speaker 5 (32:34):
Not that good luck with all and whatever you create,
you clean up.

Speaker 1 (32:40):
The role of the day is to make sure that
the person in your life feels valued and doesn't you're
not creating more energy for them.

Speaker 12 (32:48):
Yes, so corn flakes and a sherry and.

Speaker 19 (32:52):
Sure if that's what teams are like their favorite things.

Speaker 4 (32:59):
Our number if you if you need help or you
have advice to offer.

Speaker 1 (33:04):
And I would also say that if anyone knows a
single mum and you can help their kids facilitate something
for a single mum.

Speaker 4 (33:12):
That's a nice idea.

Speaker 3 (33:13):
Do that too.

Speaker 5 (33:14):
It doesn't actually take a huge amount of effort.

Speaker 1 (33:16):
And yet the amount of women I see who I
feel so unloved on a day when they shouldn't do better.

Speaker 4 (33:24):
Scratches scratches.

Speaker 1 (33:26):
Okay, yes, if it means that you're showing the effort,
you are like poking the bear.

Speaker 9 (33:34):
Fair running now with the podcast.

Speaker 8 (33:41):
Now.

Speaker 2 (33:41):
Yesterday on the show was just after eight o'clock and
Corey was very distracted on his side of the desk.
There was a lot going on. There was phone calls,
there was text messages, and this came out, Yeah.

Speaker 12 (33:53):
Dog, okay, talk about it wasn't like normal this morning.
So taking the talking me to the vet and he
had a stroke.

Speaker 3 (34:02):
It's all good, but it's just he's okay, Yeah, he's good.

Speaker 12 (34:06):
I bought my first house and I bought him like
three days later.

Speaker 1 (34:09):
So he's been around before tigs like he came into
the relationship, didn't.

Speaker 5 (34:13):
He And he's okay.

Speaker 2 (34:16):
Yeah, And he was on our social last week with
Elbow and he's he's the big black friendly dog.

Speaker 6 (34:23):
Yeah, he's a big cuddle buddy. Yeah, it just rated
me because I thought he had a tick.

Speaker 5 (34:28):
I really did, because his back legs collapsed, didn't.

Speaker 6 (34:31):
They Yeah, he just completely just went not normal and
it's just like he was getting paralyzed, and I just, yeah,
I just started thinking the worst and I really thought
I was going to see him so well.

Speaker 4 (34:40):
The stroke still sounds very serious.

Speaker 6 (34:42):
It's not great, and it's from his ear he had.
He's had a really bad ear infection. So they said
they can cause strokes sometimes and.

Speaker 12 (34:49):
Right, yeah, and I heard that before because they get
real deep. It's something to do with how deep it
gets into.

Speaker 5 (34:55):
The brain and I guess it clogs up. It kind
of does make.

Speaker 12 (35:02):
Yeah, yeah, and yeah, it was just not normal for
him not be able to move.

Speaker 6 (35:07):
And yeah, but he's getting better. He's got the infection,
he's got the drops antibiotics. But yeah, it was it
was a weird day, you know, like just honest, he
could not move.

Speaker 12 (35:19):
He could barely walk. Yeah, I know, and that's what
I was. Yeah, I was just trying to get him
to move and but not much. Just he'd walk like
two minutes and just stopped and they couldn't he couldn't walk.
His legs just would just give way. I was trying
to carry him around and I took him to.

Speaker 6 (35:34):
Pick up Hucks and that just it was just hard
to leave him on his own.

Speaker 4 (35:38):
So school pick up? Did he perk up for that?

Speaker 12 (35:40):
At least he was getting better and better sort of
every hour.

Speaker 1 (35:43):
So yeah, we got sent lots of photos on our
group chat for our Brecky show.

Speaker 5 (35:48):
And it was literally Corey just line down, yeah, big hugs.

Speaker 6 (35:53):
But I think this morning's back because he was sitting
around Huxy while he was eating his breakfast.

Speaker 4 (35:58):
He's part labandor isn't he? Yeah yeah, oh yeah, one
food comes out.

Speaker 12 (36:03):
Well last night he's like, now I'm all good.

Speaker 3 (36:09):
Ago, okay, Well that's good. So he's looking good.

Speaker 12 (36:12):
Yeah, he's getting better.

Speaker 9 (36:14):
