Right, I'll bring the fun back, Yes, the fun and
passion back for the young kids playing footy. So we're
having a match north Side versus south Side eleven or
twelve year old on the fifteenth of June, and we're
lucky enough to have it at Davies Park.
Speaker 2 (00:52):
Yes, so that's just at West End, but it's the
South Logan Club and fifteenth of June you mentioned as
a date, which of as of five point thirty this morning,
I've realized post is a problem.
Speaker 1 (01:03):
Yeah, it poses a massive problem within your personal life.
So we've got your lovely partner Naomi on the phone
because you've got to confess.
Speaker 2 (01:14):
Morning, Bob. Hey, how you're going good? Are you good?
How's everything going? Because Ciena's got a second day of
daycare today, So how are you going where?
Speaker 3 (01:24):
Okay?
Speaker 2 (01:25):
Yeah, you're feeling better about it? I am, Yeah, now
you know how we've got Now we've got her first
birthday coming up born born on the eleventh of June,
and I just was going to give Rob and Corey
the invite to the party, which is the fifteenth of June,
isn't it? It is?
Speaker 5 (01:47):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (01:47):
Do you know what else is happening on the fifteenth
of June, Naomi.
Speaker 6 (01:52):
I did start to listen once you said you have.
Speaker 2 (01:58):
I Yeah, Cory's little League. We've got the big games
on it at South Slogan where.
Speaker 3 (02:06):
So I think which is which?
Speaker 2 (02:09):
I've got to be there by mid day. But isn't it?
Speaker 3 (02:15):
Yeah, no's not.
Speaker 1 (02:22):
And the thing that's really interesting, Naomi is this has
been in our diaries for over two weeks, and every
single time we've spoken to someone like some of the
great people that are helping with Cory's Little League, like Breatho,
who is helping us actually put on the big day,
he's been really clear about what dated is.
Speaker 2 (02:44):
Have a listen.
Speaker 3 (02:46):
On the fifth dth of June, the fifth dth of June,
the fifth of June.
Speaker 2 (02:53):
So, now, in my defense, I normally don't have work
things on a Sunday, so I just didn't put it
together that we had Sienna's birthday book for the same day,
now we did. I know you did a great job
with those invites that I saw went out yesterday. Can
we change it the day?
Speaker 3 (03:14):
I guess yes, Oh, you have no deal.
Speaker 2 (03:18):
I know it's not ideal, but and I know we've
got a conflicting birthday on the Saturday, which is why
we had to make it the Sunday.
Speaker 4 (03:25):
Yeah, so is the weekend before possible?
Speaker 2 (03:27):
Could we do the weekend before, like the seventh was
on Saturday, the seventh of June.
Speaker 3 (03:32):
No, No, it's too weird about celebrating before. And we
do have another first birthday.
Speaker 2 (03:38):
I have another birthday?
Speaker 3 (03:39):
What about?
Speaker 2 (03:40):
Could we started earlier? The party started at nine, so
I can be out by twelve, see, and it will
be asleep at nine.
Speaker 3 (03:49):
Okay, the twenty first. It's a long way.
Speaker 2 (03:54):
From ten days. But she won't know.
Speaker 3 (03:57):
Yeah, we just do it without you. Are you really
happy to do that?
Speaker 1 (04:06):
No?
Speaker 2 (04:06):
Well, like if I left at twelve or I can
everyone be out the door around then, wouldn't they?
Speaker 5 (04:11):
Yeah, that's fine, you can go at twelve.
Speaker 3 (04:13):
Okay, but hang on as well. Mind you, you're not
surprised at this at all. He won't be helping with
any of the cleanup or that's okay. We'll have our
family around.
Speaker 2 (04:24):
Yeah, yeah, I told you all hands on deck.
Speaker 3 (04:27):
Yeah, how come you're so nice about this, Kip White?
Speaker 2 (04:35):
Yeah when you said you when you said your expectations
at a level you could ever be disappointed. They have
to be low, low, low low loans when you're.
Speaker 3 (04:48):
Has more capacity than your partner.
Speaker 1 (04:53):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (04:54):
Sorry, I mean.
Speaker 6 (04:57):
It's kind of annoying.
Speaker 2 (04:59):
But we don't have to change the date. Okay, we
still do it. We can work around it. Yeah.
Speaker 1 (05:04):
Yes, it would have been I think more irritating if
we had to then the next day after I sent
out the invites.
Speaker 2 (05:10):
Yeah, another text, But.
Speaker 3 (05:12):
It's okay because everyone knows kid.
Speaker 2 (05:15):
Yeah, it's all worked out great.
Speaker 6 (05:19):
Yeah, And like you say, you're going to leave it twelve,
but you'll probably just leave it twelve thirty. Anyway.
Speaker 2 (05:27):
It's always like here five seconds before the start, you know.
Speaker 3 (05:30):
I look, it stuns me and frustrates me. You have
the patience of a saint, because I what else to do?
Oh mate, I would have lost.
Speaker 2 (05:42):
It all right, thanks babe, that's okay. You were waiting
for her to blow up at me and see she is.
Speaker 3 (05:51):
She's never blown up at you, but she's annoyed. You
can tell she's annoyed. I'm waiting for the text. It
will come back. O. Could you just press record as
you walk in the house.
Speaker 2 (06:04):
She can come, she can come. Yes, just leave the party,
leave your first party behind, leave the parents, come to
the footage, clean it up.
Speaker 3 (06:12):
I was so waiting for you to say, well, how
important is the first birthday?
Speaker 2 (06:16):
Anyway? I'm not that dumb. I'm pretty dumb. Well, tomorrow
on the show. We've got the selector's meeting. After the
show today and tomorrow we're going to have the very
first player named in Corey's Little League, so that'll be awesome.
We'll put together a good.
Speaker 3 (06:34):
Back to this whole thing about just leave it.
Speaker 2 (06:37):
Everyone's happy, everyone.
Speaker 3 (06:38):
Wants to have a chat.
Speaker 2 (06:39):
Yeah, how you know it's important, You've just get it.
Speaker 3 (06:44):
Your kid's first birthday?
Speaker 2 (06:46):
All right, let's ask the question thirty one oh six
five does it really matter the first first birthday? Don't
remember anything, They don't even know what first I'm sorry,
all right, thirty one oh six five. Our first birthday
party is important at all?
Speaker 3 (07:04):
Sharon of Collingwood Park, what would you like to say.
Speaker 5 (07:07):
I got out of and I just said, you organized
the to make sure it could be that my daughter's
first birthday?
Speaker 2 (07:15):
Do you reckon it's fairly important?
Speaker 5 (07:17):
Do you share it espectually important? How long ago was
that my daughter tursed fifteen? This year she was a
twenty four weekss she was born four months early. Wow,
my eldest thoughted passed away, And so to celebrate that
first year when she had a point zero point zero
(07:37):
three percent of survival was exceptionally important.
Speaker 2 (07:42):
Well, that one's important.
Speaker 3 (07:43):
Ye, all first birthdays are important, they all are they all?
Speaker 6 (07:48):
Well?
Speaker 1 (07:48):
I actually think for Naomi like I think about Finn.
My eldest first birthday was the only time that I
booked an outside venue that people flew up from interstate
like it was kind of the first grandchild, the first
Yeah yeah, well.
Speaker 2 (08:05):
Yeah see yeah, the middle child, the younger kid. They
always missed. No thirdy, No, not at all. Actually, thirty
one oh sixty five's out of number.
Speaker 3 (08:15):
Melissa of bepngary, I think you are one of them.
Speaker 6 (08:18):
Yeah, well, as a mom of four, it doesn't really
matter until a fourth birthday and they have memories, right, yes, one, two,
three do your own schedule going even if you don't.
Speaker 2 (08:26):
Want it, even if you don't want to. Yeah, I
mean she's she's a lot of fun around the house now,
she's great. But her favorite food is sunglasses. You know
what I mean. I don't know what's going on.
Speaker 1 (08:34):
How would Rathie feel about you not being there for
Sienna's first birthday?
Speaker 2 (08:39):
Yeah, yeah, he wouldn't like us.
Speaker 3 (08:40):
Don't tell you so you would notice, Thank you.
Speaker 1 (08:45):
Amanda of Baronia Heights. What do you think about first birthdays?
Speaker 2 (08:48):
Yeah?
Speaker 6 (08:49):
Hi, Look, birth birthdays I think are really important. And
it's not for the child because they won't know or
remember or even understand what's going on. It's for the family.
It's for the mum and the dad and the extended family.
To get through that first year is very important and
how stressful it is for that first twelve months. That's true,
and that's what you're celebrating is getting through that first year.
They're making their first birthday. It's important for the family,
(09:12):
not for the kids. They won't know.
Speaker 2 (09:13):
That's why people are getting on it. But like it's
a ten am yet, you've got to have alcohol.
Speaker 1 (09:19):
We made and you haven't had the easiest of times
and the one person who's possibly done it the toughest
is the one person you've just let down.
Speaker 3 (09:29):
And I'm not talking about your daughter.
Speaker 2 (09:31):
And it sounds worse when you say like that, thank you.
Speaker 3 (09:36):
What do you reckon?
Speaker 2 (09:37):
It's not important to the child at all.
Speaker 5 (09:40):
It's important to Naomi.
Speaker 3 (09:44):
Full stop. Okay that what happened to a happy life? Happy?
Speaker 2 (09:52):
Oh that's right, you're not married, married, it's right, it
doesn't matter. She's important. Yes, you're on my side.
Speaker 5 (10:00):
No, no, I'm not on your side.
Speaker 6 (10:03):
Naomi's got to have the low.
Speaker 3 (10:04):
Expectation expectations made.
Speaker 2 (10:09):
Yeah, clear as lowly your expectations of what men.
Speaker 1 (10:13):
Do, just lower them.
Speaker 6 (10:16):
Just ninth and tenth birthday.
Speaker 5 (10:18):
I'm more important to the father.
Speaker 4 (10:20):
Yeah, that's right, the eighteenth and the twenty first.
Speaker 2 (10:23):
I've got a while yet. You're gotta hang in there.
Give your liver a chance, buddy, You're gotta hang in there.
