Speaker 1 (00:00):
It's the Robin Terian Kid Podcast.
Speaker 2 (00:03):
It's Robin Terary and Kip the podcast. You can get
a lot of gossip on the show today, you're going
to be faf time.
Speaker 3 (00:08):
I'm actually just reading about Miranda Kerr and trying to
work out, you know, when names can be boys or girls, which,
to be fair, I've done, Like Robin.
Speaker 1 (00:16):
Can be a boy or girl. Yes, Finn can be
a boy or girl. Piper can be boy and girl.
Speaker 3 (00:21):
I'm trying to work out with Miranda Kurr Heart and.
Speaker 2 (00:26):
Miles Miles or Miles as generally boy, isn't it? Sometimes
generally heart Heart Heart's a tough one. HARKing go anywhere?
Speaker 4 (00:34):
Then?
Speaker 1 (00:34):
I know we know as a boy.
Speaker 4 (00:35):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (00:35):
Because she's pregnant with a fourth baby and she's talked
about her cravings. Yeah, okay, of course, supermodel's cravings ridiculous.
Speaker 1 (00:43):
Let's talk about it.
Speaker 2 (00:44):
Okay.
Speaker 5 (00:45):
You're listening to the Robin Terrian Kid Podcast.
Speaker 2 (00:50):
Now up Late with Zach and Dom is a night show.
We have here a Kiss ninety seven three and Dom
is at the airport.
Speaker 1 (00:56):
Hello, Dom, Hello you guys, how you doing good? You're
at the airport, aren't you?
Speaker 6 (01:02):
I am as we speak.
Speaker 1 (01:04):
What are you doing?
Speaker 2 (01:05):
Yeah, I'm on my.
Speaker 6 (01:06):
Way down to Melbourne for the Grand Finals.
Speaker 2 (01:08):
So I've heard that you're a tragic Lions fan, like
you're a massive Lions fan, so you're going down for
the GF.
Speaker 6 (01:15):
Tragic is the right word. I've missed friends' weddings, I've
missed birthday parties, I missed whatever to go to Lions
games over the years and waited and longed for them
to get back here to the Grand Final. So cannot
wait to be down.
Speaker 7 (01:26):
There for it.
Speaker 1 (01:27):
Are you going by yourself?
Speaker 6 (01:29):
I'm flying down myself this morning, but I've got some
family and some friends who are going down at different
times of staggering our arrival into Melbourne, we'll all be
there together.
Speaker 2 (01:36):
Because I was worried that Dom was this lonely, just
a single guy in Lion's face paint at the game.
Speaker 6 (01:44):
Excellent, That's exactly how I thought my life would turn
out now.
Speaker 3 (01:50):
That is not the reason I wanted to talk to you,
because you and Zach do up late with Zach and
Dom and you were recently talking about a survey that
you'd found with a ten things that you need to
do before you turn thirty and none of them you'd
actually been able to achieve.
Speaker 1 (02:05):
Is that correct?
Speaker 7 (02:06):
No?
Speaker 6 (02:06):
Yeah, I'm zero for ten so far. So I mean,
I've got the day left before I turned thirty. I've
got to get moving pretty quick if I want anything
on that school board.
Speaker 1 (02:14):
Well, there was just.
Speaker 3 (02:14):
One in particular that I wanted to challenge you on,
and it's this one.
Speaker 8 (02:18):
I have lived in at least five different houses, which
is an interesting one, but it's a no.
Speaker 2 (02:25):
No, you're still with mum and dad.
Speaker 8 (02:26):
I keep, I mean a separate wing of the house.
We've mean over this.
Speaker 6 (02:31):
I have my wing.
Speaker 2 (02:32):
That's a separate room. Really grasping its straws there, dog,
So you live at home with mum and dad and
you have your whole life.
Speaker 6 (02:39):
Yes, So, as I said, I mean, and I'll be
very clear with this, it is a separate wing of
the house. Living certainly wasn't the way I probably planned
the life to go, but kind of ended up working
out for the best in that scenario.
Speaker 1 (02:51):
No, we'll see.
Speaker 3 (02:52):
Here's the thing, and I'm doing this on behalf of
every mother who has a son that sees the need
for their children to still be living at home. I
have a twenty nearly twenty four, nearly twenty two, and
nearly nineteen year old, and I don't want them sitting
at home when they're thirty. So I just want to
know what you did, and I'll make sure I do
the exact opposite.
Speaker 6 (03:14):
Well, look, it's a very good point. I think what
I did, to be honest, over the years was just
make sure I was rarely at home, so they barely
noticed that I still live there. I think if they
actually saw me, they go, wait, is your stuff still
in that bedroom?
Speaker 7 (03:27):
But look, I don't know.
Speaker 6 (03:27):
I mean to get a bit philosophical for a moment.
Many cultures do into generational living, and I reckon we
might end up going there with cost of living in
housing prices, So maybe I'm just getting in ahead of
the curve.
Speaker 1 (03:38):
Guys dom they do that for grandparents.
Speaker 3 (03:41):
They do that so that people take care of the
elderly members who've earned the right to be taken care.
Speaker 1 (03:47):
Of, not the thirty year old son that won't leave home.
Speaker 6 (03:53):
I mean won't leave his very heavy language rob and
and has opted not to leave to this point in time.
But look, I'm sure we'll have maybe by forty.
Speaker 2 (04:01):
I don't want to make you feel bad but by
the time I was thirty, I had bought a house,
sold a house, built a house, moved to Sydney, bought
an apartment, renovated that apartment, sold it, and bought another apartment.
Speaker 6 (04:13):
Well, yeah, but kit what was that the nineteen seventeen it.
Speaker 2 (04:15):
Was, It was not that long ago.
Speaker 1 (04:20):
Two questions my friends. Number One, do you pay rent?
Speaker 4 (04:24):
Yes?
Speaker 6 (04:25):
I do pay rent?
Speaker 1 (04:26):
Number Two, do your parents care that you're there?
Speaker 6 (04:29):
Not particularly? I mean it's quite a large house that
they've gotten, so I think they're quite happy to have
the company, really, And I cook every how and then
so that sort of works out. I mean, I will
say at one stage I did start referring to them
as my roommates or my housemates, and Zack said, I'm
not allowed to do that.
Speaker 2 (04:45):
Trying to make it street and they're your parents.
Speaker 6 (04:49):
What can I say? It's a situation that's worked for
us for the time being. And doesn't know, have a
bit of help with the laundry every now and then.
Speaker 1 (04:55):
See, we're only hearing one side of the story.
Speaker 2 (04:57):
I feel like your parents are making it too comfortable
for you, aren't they. That's the problem is that it's
too good to stay.
Speaker 6 (05:02):
Oh, well, look, they're great people. What can I say?
At one stage, I will move out, but I mean,
why I do it until you're really ready. You've got
to be fully sure, you know.
Speaker 1 (05:10):
You know what I've done with my said sons.
Speaker 3 (05:12):
I'm selling my big house and that goes to auction
on the eighteenth of November, and I've already bought the
house that I.
Speaker 1 (05:18):
Want to move into.
Speaker 3 (05:18):
And guess what, Yeah, there's no room for them.
Speaker 6 (05:22):
That's what I got to look out for the moment.
Mum and Dad literally don't have the space from anymore.
They're trying to give me a subtle hint.
Speaker 2 (05:28):
Yeah, yeah, when they sell the wing that you live in.
Speaker 6 (05:32):
That's when you know, Yeah, fair enough, you're.
Speaker 1 (05:35):
In good sport Dom and go the.
Speaker 6 (05:37):
Line, Go on line, Yes, come online, thanks.
Speaker 2 (05:40):
Six fourteen now across the show today. There's plenty of
reasons to get involved with the show. But we have
a bunch of meat trays and drink packages to give
away one hundred bus Yes, so like Dom, you can
stay at home for the footy finals. So if you
want yourself a meat tray and some drinks for the game,
get on the phone right now. Just tell us what
you're doing what you plan and have they change now
(06:02):
now that you win? So thirteen one a six fives
our number.
Speaker 5 (06:05):
The Robin Terry Kip Podcast win a row of Sam
Smith did this.
Speaker 2 (06:15):
That's what we've got to give away right here. You
just got to tell us where you want to go
and see Sam Smith and we will ask you to
sing for us as well.
Speaker 1 (06:21):
Okay, Patty, let's have a chat. Hey, Patty, hello?
Speaker 7 (06:26):
Are you?
Speaker 4 (06:26):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (06:27):
Good?
Speaker 1 (06:27):
Thank you?
Speaker 3 (06:29):
Okay, you're big Sam Smith fan.
Speaker 9 (06:35):
My my wife and my daughter she's thirteen d a
huge fan.
Speaker 2 (06:39):
Okay. So it's a whole roll of tickets. So you
got you, Patty, you got your wife, your daughter. Who
else would you take?
Speaker 9 (06:45):
I would pick my son to yeah.
Speaker 1 (06:48):
Okay, good whole family.
Speaker 3 (06:50):
So you are doing me some desuffrage maybe, and even
more so when we hear you seeing of course Sam
is going to be here on Wednesday, the eighth of
November at the Brisbane Entertainment said, are you ready to go?
Speaker 1 (07:02):
Paddy?
Speaker 4 (07:03):
Oh?
Speaker 2 (07:04):
Try, okay, just do your best. So this is what
Sam loves, throwing the microphone out to the crowd in
the middle of a song and getting them to sing
the next line. So you're going to be the crowd
in this instance. Here's the song. We'll tell you when
to go. All right? Good luck, Patty, good.
Speaker 6 (07:20):
Man, Patty, you made me do?
Speaker 1 (07:28):
Okay, I'm going to do dancing with a stranger. Just
do that high.
Speaker 4 (07:33):
Lo here?
Speaker 5 (07:35):
What you made me do?
Speaker 1 (07:39):
Could you just do?
Speaker 2 (07:40):
Baby? Baby? I'm dancing with the stranger? What you made
me do?
Speaker 10 (07:50):
You've tried, Paddy, We're not quite there, buddy, dancing with
the stranger.
Speaker 2 (07:58):
We've almost made a buddy.
Speaker 1 (07:59):
Just one more, oh Dan, this stranger. That's all you've got.
Speaker 4 (08:04):
Have been with this?
Speaker 5 (08:12):
Look, family, Look what.
Speaker 2 (08:15):
We made you do? Patty?
Speaker 4 (08:18):
You want?
Speaker 2 (08:19):
You want to rob as well?
Speaker 4 (08:20):
Do?
Speaker 9 (08:24):
I usually appreciate good Frank you you.
Speaker 6 (08:27):
Are so fun.
Speaker 3 (08:29):
Friday, my friends, Feel good?
Speaker 5 (08:40):
Wake up with Robin, Terri and Kid.
Speaker 1 (08:45):
Krishna.
Speaker 11 (08:46):
Good morning, Good morning, guys.
Speaker 5 (08:48):
How are you?
Speaker 2 (08:49):
Krishna? Great?
Speaker 1 (08:50):
Good? Now you have a question for us? What is it?
Speaker 11 (08:52):
I hear my husband called up and one was a
whole row of mister. I was so fast asleep because
I'm sick. And he called me and he's like, get.
Speaker 12 (09:01):
Everybody up, get everybody up, and I'm like, what's wrong?
Speaker 9 (09:05):
You get everybody up? And I'm like, oh my god, what.
Speaker 13 (09:08):
Is going on?
Speaker 4 (09:08):
We're all in bed, and he's like, I got you.
Speaker 12 (09:13):
How did you do that?
Speaker 14 (09:14):
He's like, I don't know.
Speaker 12 (09:15):
I was meant to think something and I have no idea,
but I got them anyway.
Speaker 1 (09:19):
So you didn't hear him actually sing.
Speaker 11 (09:22):
No, we were fast asleep.
Speaker 3 (09:25):
Can I tell you Our executive producer Rory's got really
cranky with Kip and I after we spoke to Patty
because she told us that it was listener abused.
Speaker 1 (09:35):
We weren't allowed to do that.
Speaker 2 (09:37):
Because Patty was trying. Patty was trying his best to
sing to Sam Smith. He clearly did not know the words,
but we lent me.
Speaker 12 (09:44):
He had no idea at all.
Speaker 11 (09:47):
And I have wanted Sam Smith's tickets for my daughter's
thirteenth birthday since they came out, couldn't get them, couldn't
get them, And so he's just done the best thing
for our daughter.
Speaker 2 (09:56):
Yeah. Well, it's a whole row of tickets that he's won.
Speaker 9 (09:59):
What does that six?
Speaker 2 (10:01):
Six tickets?
Speaker 1 (10:01):
Six?
Speaker 6 (10:04):
Because I wanted to play my daughter and her friend
and I was like, oh, I can't take anybody. Know.
She's could have been so excited.
Speaker 1 (10:12):
Very good will.
Speaker 2 (10:12):
Mate.
Speaker 1 (10:13):
Do you want to hear how your husband won them?
Speaker 4 (10:15):
I do want to hear.
Speaker 1 (10:16):
Okay, here we go.
Speaker 2 (10:18):
Here's the song. Good luck, Patty, good.
Speaker 6 (10:21):
Man, Patty, you made me do.
Speaker 1 (10:29):
I'm going to do dancing with a stranger. Just do
that high?
Speaker 12 (10:32):
Look?
Speaker 7 (10:34):
Look what you made me do?
Speaker 1 (10:38):
Could you just do?
Speaker 2 (10:39):
Baby? Baby? I'm dancing with the stranger? What you made
me do? If you try and Patty were not quite there?
Speaker 1 (10:51):
Buddy, dancing with a stranger, you do.
Speaker 2 (10:57):
We're almost made of buddy.
Speaker 1 (10:58):
Just one more with this stranger. That's all you guys
have been with the.
Speaker 4 (11:11):
Else.
Speaker 2 (11:13):
Look what made you do?
Speaker 9 (11:19):
Oh my god, that's just sober.
Speaker 2 (11:24):
So Yeah, he just kept trying. You could hear he
was in pain, but he didn't. He didn't let go.
Speaker 11 (11:31):
You guys are amazing.
Speaker 9 (11:33):
Thank you so much.
Speaker 1 (11:34):
Well, great news for your thirteen year old daughter. You
have six tickets.
Speaker 4 (11:39):
I'm very very happy.
Speaker 11 (11:41):
She's right next to me. Thank you, You're welcome.
Speaker 2 (11:45):
I really really did enjoy the show.
Speaker 6 (11:48):
Thanks guys.
Speaker 5 (11:51):
You're listening to the Robin Terrrian Kid podcast.
Speaker 2 (11:56):
We've got a long weekend ahead and we've got two
Brisbane teams in the Grand Finals for AFL and NRL.
It's an amazing weekend. I know.
Speaker 3 (12:04):
Of course the lines are playing kick off from two
thirty and then of course the Bronx Sunday Night.
Speaker 1 (12:10):
Taken on the Panthers.
Speaker 3 (12:11):
And there was one person when I knew that the
Broncos had made it into the Grand Final, I wanted
to talk to my mate NoREL, who's Kevy Walter's wife,
because I figured if there was one person who is
going to have to manage the whole family dynamics, it
was going to be Norell.
Speaker 11 (12:27):
Hey mate, good morning, how are we robbing?
Speaker 6 (12:30):
Morning?
Speaker 2 (12:30):
Cap morning, NoREL. How's the excitement? Is everyone out of
the house now? They're all down in Sydney?
Speaker 11 (12:36):
No, no, no where? All at home still.
Speaker 4 (12:38):
Yeah.
Speaker 11 (12:39):
We're traveling tomorrow. So it's just been a fairly standard
week for the family. I work, so we go as
a traveling group. We're pretty big family, so we travel together.
Speaker 12 (12:50):
So we've got.
Speaker 11 (12:51):
Jack and his fiance Rachel, who is Billy's fiance, Jet, Harry, Ava,
myself were all traveling tomorrow, so it's going to be
a big day, very exciting, very exciting.
Speaker 1 (13:03):
Are you nervous? Like, how are you actually feeling about
it all.
Speaker 11 (13:06):
I'm okay now, but I like on game day I
am sick. I don't handle the nerves very well. We
are to talk with Kevin and I are talking to you.
I just have just that horrible vomit feeling in the
back of my throat, my stomach chams. It's awful. And
he's calm quiet.
Speaker 4 (13:23):
Yeah.
Speaker 11 (13:23):
Yeah, I don't know how he manages his nerves, but
he might admit to having some nerves and it would
be a bit. But it's excitement and I think it's good.
It's kind of that, you know, it means something to
you when you're a little bit excited or nervous. I guess,
so it's good.
Speaker 3 (13:36):
Are you Are you talking to them like is Kevy ringing?
Or is he now like Condon blackout and just doing no?
Speaker 11 (13:44):
Well again, it's kind of more just different schedules mean
that we don't talk a lot, but we're in communication.
My text I don't bother Billy too much. I'll let
him do his own rhythm and you know, i'll shoot him.
I'll text and give him a call maybe today. It's
a bit of a quiet day today, so I don't
feel like that's too much of an intrusion, But I
just think it's managing all of those little things.
Speaker 2 (14:03):
It's been just such a great turn around. It was
only a couple of years ago that the people are
going with Kevy. He's not working out, you know, he
was under all sorts of pressure, and it is just
to turn it around the Broncos, you know, even I
don't want to say that, but they've had such a
great year this year. It's been a huge achievement by
itself and we've just got one more moment to go.
But yeah, you must be immensely proud of Kevy and Billy.
Speaker 11 (14:27):
Oh really really proud. But as a cluver's toll, you know,
like when you haven't got that job at the end
of twenty twenty, I don't think it's unfair to say
that it was a club in crisis. Like they won
the Wooden Spoon, and you remember, the fans were upset,
they were angry, the spoon's getting lobbed over the stands.
It was awful and at your house, our house at
(14:50):
the moment, I feel sorry for our neighbors because there's
that many cars that drive toot their horner. They were
really sorry for our neighbors. There's no traffic, so there's
a lot of that.
Speaker 3 (15:06):
Mate, What do you think? What do you what do
you actually think is going to happen tomorrow?
Speaker 13 (15:10):
Oh?
Speaker 11 (15:11):
At the game, I think we'll win. Yeah, you got
a Grand Finals to win them, hard to get there,
but you know it's harder to win them, but we're
going to win it.
Speaker 3 (15:20):
Yeah, And do you know how much do you think
it's going to be close? What's your gut say?
Speaker 1 (15:24):
Because I actually do believe that both Brisbane teams are
going to win this weekend.
Speaker 11 (15:29):
I mean, if Britain played their best football, I mean
they win. I don't care if it's two points or
twenty points they played. They just got to play their
best football and that's all you know, and the rest
should take care of it.
Speaker 1 (15:38):
Tell do you know what, Noria?
Speaker 3 (15:40):
The last time I saw you and Kevy together, I
was having a bit pretty tough time with radio and
things weren't going great, and you both said to me,
and Kevy particularly just said, mate, remember the Broncos, remember
how bad it was for us, and this too will pass.
Speaker 11 (15:55):
Oh so deep, so deep, it's true.
Speaker 1 (15:58):
Right, it's true, you guys.
Speaker 3 (16:03):
I mean I know I am the deep one amongst
this particular team.
Speaker 1 (16:06):
But I just you know, like you guys, nail it.
You know, he knew here you are.
Speaker 4 (16:10):
Yeah.
Speaker 11 (16:11):
I think he has a really nice perspective on life
a lot of the time, like you know, he knows
what's important or what you know and things that will pass.
And we still to talk to our kids about that
a little bit too. You have a bad day, you
go to bed, put your head on the pillow, wake
up the next day and you go.
Speaker 1 (16:24):
Again, well, good luck. Please if you're talking, tell them,
tell give him a big hug from us.
Speaker 5 (16:31):
But I will will.
Speaker 1 (16:32):
I'm also going to tell you in.
Speaker 3 (16:33):
The next fifteen minutes there's this whole thing that's going
on in the stars at the moment with the full
moon supermoon, right, that actually is really great for both
teams of football.
Speaker 11 (16:45):
Good all right, it's in the unit. The universe is
on our side.
Speaker 2 (16:48):
Yet it sounds like you've got that bombits feeling at
the back of your throat again the relatives.
Speaker 11 (16:53):
Star and the Moon's week week.
Speaker 1 (16:55):
Okay, we're good bye.
Speaker 2 (17:01):
That's Kevy's wife. You love the best. Now we have
something for you if you're not heading down like the
Walters family unit if you are just going to be
watching the game at home, we're taking care of drinks
and a meat tray right now. Thirteen one oh six
fives and numba. Tell us what you're doing.
Speaker 5 (17:17):
The Robin Terryn Kip Podcast.
Speaker 2 (17:23):
Samuel Friday, Kip Whitehorn, What about me?
Speaker 7 (17:28):
Sam?
Speaker 2 (17:28):
About Robin?
Speaker 4 (17:29):
Hi?
Speaker 7 (17:29):
Babe? Oh hello Robin? How are you see?
Speaker 1 (17:32):
He's nice to me?
Speaker 4 (17:33):
Yes?
Speaker 2 (17:33):
I know, look at that there was warmth. There was warmth.
So Sammy, are you excited?
Speaker 6 (17:38):
Mate?
Speaker 2 (17:38):
I am absolutely pumped about this week and obviously we've
got the lines which I'm excited about. But then of
course the Broncos on Sunday it feels like it's been
a long time between drinks for us.
Speaker 7 (17:47):
Well, I've called for the Queensland clean sweep. Yeah, I'm
saying the Lions are going to win the AFL Grand Final.
We're going to say that the East Tigers are going
to win the State Cup, the Gold Coast Titans are
going to win the anner w and then the Bristom
Broncos are going to win the NERL Whole Premierships.
Speaker 2 (18:04):
Imagine Joe King.
Speaker 1 (18:05):
Is that really what's up for grabs this weekend?
Speaker 7 (18:08):
That's really what's up for grabs this weekend and what
would have been better if our Broncos and our w
team if they were playing the Grand Final, they would
have only only two Sydney teams playing in the NERL
Grand Final weekend.
Speaker 2 (18:21):
Incredible, that's extraordinary.
Speaker 1 (18:24):
Sam.
Speaker 3 (18:24):
Do you ever get a moment where you're allowed to
just sit and reflect on what it was like when
you were playing and how those players must be feeling.
Speaker 7 (18:32):
I've had a lot more of an opportunity now that
I am retired to look back on those moments and
I absolutely loved what I did for such a long
period of time. And I do say that I'm one
of the lucky ones. I've got to win the Grand
Final and there's not a lot of people that get
to do that in their career. So absolutely pumped and
I've got the chance opportunity to do that with the Broncos.
Speaker 2 (18:50):
So on the day on Sunday morning, what will they
be feeling?
Speaker 6 (18:53):
You reckon?
Speaker 2 (18:53):
What are they going through? Is it a wake up
and just try and keep it as normal as possible.
Speaker 7 (18:57):
Well, that's the thing. They have to try to stick
to their normal routine. There's a funny story that Alfie
tells about him and Trevor Gilwis they actually going to
the races on Saturday. I think it might have been
before the ninety two or ninety three Grand Final, but
it was just they had to stick to their routine.
So they took Wayne Bennett's words literally and he almost
(19:18):
didn't make it to the Grand Final. He was running,
put a bed on one of his horses, was racing
and he ran into the edge of the bookies where
they turned the odds. Yeah, he split his head, He
saw his own blood and passed out fainted. Trevor Gilwiss
has come over and he's tried to fight whoever's punched Alfie,
but Alfie knocked himself.
Speaker 2 (19:38):
Out on a book He's ledger.
Speaker 13 (19:43):
To win.
Speaker 7 (19:44):
They went on to win luckily. But that's what it
is about, just going through your same motion and routine. Yeah,
it is a massive game. And another thing too. They
need to not think about the game or overplay the
game in their head before they get there. Otherwise you're
absolutely exhausted before you even play.
Speaker 3 (20:01):
So is that why Alfie keeps running on for the
Broncos He's trying to make up for the times that
he lost.
Speaker 1 (20:07):
Is he working on Sunday. Is he actually going to
be running.
Speaker 7 (20:10):
Yeah, he'll be there. And that's the beauty of having
guys like Alfie and Kevy around is as he won
five Grand Finals with the Broncos. Alfie won three or four,
So these guys have been there and done it before,
and you can just absolutely just pick those guys paint
and it will just help the younger guys out so much.
Speaker 3 (20:27):
Did he yell words of encouragement when he's out there
dropping off their water and.
Speaker 2 (20:31):
He's coaching, isn't he basically out the back?
Speaker 7 (20:33):
Yeah, he is coaching. He's pretty much the fourteenth man
out there. But yeah, his job is to run messages
from Kevy and also things that he sees as well
from the sideline.
Speaker 1 (20:42):
We're unstoppable. Doesn't have that.
Speaker 2 (20:45):
Chance as long as it's not a big race on
them that Alfie might get distracted by. Should be trying.
Speaker 7 (20:51):
Yeah, that's so true. It's Sunday, no good horse races run,
that's right.
Speaker 2 (20:56):
No, Well, we'll check out on Channel nine on your
Mega day, Sammy and Hope Flee. We'll see you at
the after party celebrating with the Broncos.
Speaker 7 (21:03):
Yeah, I hope so too. Thank you.
Speaker 2 (21:05):
You can watch the NRL Grand Final exclusive live and
free on Channel nine and nine now sixteen hours of
coverage from a course stadium from five thirty pm.
Speaker 1 (21:15):
They're allowed to do that, is Alfie allowed to coach
from the pitch.
Speaker 2 (21:18):
The other teams hate it. I bet they do.
Speaker 1 (21:19):
They don't have an Alfie.
Speaker 2 (21:20):
No, They've got just guys running water.
Speaker 1 (21:23):
They can't say anything that I know. Do you ever
see him trying to tell players what to do?
Speaker 2 (21:28):
Absolutely? Like I go over there, he's defensively running the
back line, just going over there, right there, pointing fingers.
Speaker 1 (21:34):
That's why I love you.
Speaker 5 (21:36):
Wake up with Robin, Terri and Kim.
Speaker 3 (21:41):
The excitement is building around our fairt city with the
two big Grand Finals happening this weekend.
Speaker 1 (21:46):
So we're all looking for signs, right.
Speaker 3 (21:48):
Yes, And I know that you are not superstitious at
all until it comes to something you really care about,
and you really care about the Broncos.
Speaker 2 (21:54):
When it comes to football, I am very superstitious. I'm
always worried about what people are doing today and what
people saying about the Broncos, and what the people are
saying about the lines that I don't want anyone to
jinx it.
Speaker 1 (22:04):
No, Well, you know that.
Speaker 3 (22:05):
Anne Anderson and I in our newsroom are kind of white,
witchy pooh believers.
Speaker 1 (22:10):
We were girls, yeah where we go.
Speaker 3 (22:14):
So why we're looking for some things to help you
feel better about this weekend in terms of what's going
on in the stars. So tonight is a full harvest supermoon,
and that follows the spring equinox, which happened on the
twenty third of September. Now, the equinox means that it
goes the equal time between day and night. Ah okay,
(22:34):
and it happens in winter, spring and in autumn, right, Okay,
you got that, okay, So that is already quite a
powerful time.
Speaker 2 (22:40):
The moon this morning on the way in to work
was humongous.
Speaker 1 (22:42):
It's a super moon.
Speaker 3 (22:43):
It's the final one and the biggest one of the year,
which means it's it's closest to us.
Speaker 1 (22:49):
That's why it's called it's so right.
Speaker 3 (22:51):
It's five point eight percent bigger and twelve point eight
percent brighter than normal because it's closest to us.
Speaker 2 (22:56):
And why is that good for us and not good
for Collingwood?
Speaker 3 (22:59):
Okay because no, okay? So the moon is in aries
and aries are a cardinal fire sign. And so while
full moons are traditionally reflective and emotional times, we can
expect because it's an Airyan moon, increased spontaneity, impulsivity, boldness, courage,
and luck. And there are four signs that this is
(23:22):
going to impact the most aries cancer, libron.
Speaker 1 (23:28):
Yep and Capricorn.
Speaker 2 (23:30):
I don't know what any of this means.
Speaker 1 (23:31):
Wait, okay, you're a cancer.
Speaker 2 (23:33):
It's going to impact you for me personally, right, Okay,
But when it.
Speaker 3 (23:37):
Comes to the coaches of the teams that are playing, Yes,
Chris Fagan from the Lions yep is a cancer tick.
Craig McCrae from Collingwood is a virgo.
Speaker 2 (23:51):
It's not impacting, no impact for you, Craig Mccraigie.
Speaker 3 (23:55):
Kevy Walters born on the twentieth of October is a
libren tick Okay. Panthers coach Ivan Cleary born on the
first of March is a piscey Okay. So the two
coaches of the two Brisbane teams are the ones that
are going to be impacted with spontaneity, impulsivity, boldness, courage.
Speaker 1 (24:20):
And luck. Okay, the other two coaches aren't.
Speaker 2 (24:24):
I'm getting on sports.
Speaker 6 (24:25):
Bet.
Speaker 2 (24:28):
I think that's what you're telling.
Speaker 1 (24:29):
Me, is that if you as long as you can
give the reasons, yes, that it's in the stars.
Speaker 2 (24:34):
I'm all good, all right, I'm all ready to gamble irresponsibly. No,
thank you.
Speaker 1 (24:39):
Don't promote that.
Speaker 2 (24:40):
No no, no, no, no, no, not for everyone, just
for me.
Speaker 5 (24:43):
You're listening to the Robinarian Kid podcast. It's Robinarian Kids Free.
Speaker 2 (24:51):
Love eight twenty. So Nikki us is on the phone
Robin and hopefully wants to be part of this pre
loved wedding. She's director of sales at Stanford Plaza. I
believe that you are a listener to the show, Nikki.
Speaker 4 (25:11):
I am every morning on my way to work. I
listen to you guys. So thanks, Well that's.
Speaker 3 (25:17):
Nate, thank you, thank you because you heard us talking
about how desperate we are for a venue, So what can.
Speaker 1 (25:24):
You give us.
Speaker 4 (25:25):
Well, as you know dat Plaza Brisbine reopened after being
closed for a while due to the floods, and I
just thought it was a wonderful opportunity to be a
part of what you're offering. And so after hearing the
call out, we and a client has downsized their events.
So it's left the River Room available, which overlooks the
(25:48):
Brisbane River and the story Bridge. So it's the oh
my goodness, perfect venue for Matt and Tash and I.
We'd love to offer it to them.
Speaker 3 (25:57):
Okay, So what you're saying is someone actually had the
River Room booked on that particular day, on the twelfth
of October, and then what they didn't want it anymore?
Speaker 4 (26:06):
No they did, It's just their event numbers changed. They downside,
so we had to relocate them to another space. So
now that River Room is available, this is perfect.
Speaker 2 (26:18):
This is exactly what we're after.
Speaker 3 (26:19):
So does that mean did they order lots of food
that they're no longer gonna neat?
Speaker 4 (26:24):
That's right, I just love I feel it's meant to be.
Speaker 2 (26:29):
Wow, this is perfect, Nikki.
Speaker 1 (26:31):
So what can we have of What have we got?
Speaker 4 (26:34):
You have the picturesque venue which overlooks the river and
the story Bridge. You have a sit down, two core
meal with dreams. What I'm sure we can look too,
style it and make it look very much like a wedding.
Speaker 3 (26:53):
Oh wow, oh my god, because you already have that somewhere,
don't you, like in some basement room you can get out?
Speaker 2 (27:01):
We do oh wow.
Speaker 4 (27:03):
So we are the prime location to hold weddings and
we also and what we would also like to offer
is the Marquis main garden for the ceremony, which again
is very picturesque and magical and overlooks the river.
Speaker 2 (27:17):
A friend of mine got married there probably fifteen years
ago now and did that exact thing. We had the
Marquee outside then inside for the wedding was absolutely fantastic,
So this would just be beautiful.
Speaker 15 (27:29):
That's good.
Speaker 4 (27:30):
I'm glad.
Speaker 1 (27:30):
Yeah, Nikki, you are so lovely.
Speaker 3 (27:33):
Thank you a for listening to us, but more importantly
like using or you're a director of Salesanus yes to
navigate to help us for cash and Matt, this is
awesome mate.
Speaker 4 (27:46):
Oh, you're very welcome. It's a fantastic team here and
we're very excited to be a part of it. So
thank you.
Speaker 2 (27:53):
No, we can't wait to see to see the place
all post flood refurbed and looking beautiful. I can't wait
to get.
Speaker 5 (27:58):
There and hope you're ready.
Speaker 2 (28:00):
Hopefully you can drop into the wedding for a couple
drinks with us.
Speaker 1 (28:02):
Nick, Oh, I'll be there. Oh yeah, we'll try and
stay well behaved for a bit.
Speaker 4 (28:10):
Thank you.
Speaker 2 (28:10):
So much, Nikki.
Speaker 4 (28:12):
Oh, you're very welcome. We'll see you then see you a.
Speaker 2 (28:15):
Couple of weeks.
Speaker 1 (28:16):
Oh dear, We've got to keep ourselves nice.
Speaker 2 (28:18):
Yeah, just for a couple of hours.
Speaker 3 (28:19):
We need a photographer, yes, if we're going to have
a great venue that's on the river. If you're a photographer,
that's available. Maybe something canceled out yes on October twelfth,
and you can help us out.
Speaker 1 (28:29):
We also need flowers.
Speaker 2 (28:30):
Flowers photos, that's probably the main two. Big on was
plenty of little things. But if you've got an idea,
maybe there's something you had at your wedding that you're like, oh,
this was brilliant. They need to have that. Then by
all means, get in contact. If you've got something. Wedding rings, wedding.
Speaker 1 (28:44):
Rings, we've got other people in the we've got another
daughter to dress. Oh yes, we don't.
Speaker 3 (28:48):
Actually we've got to find out what she wants to wear.
But anyway, thirteen one oh sixty five. If you're can
help us.
Speaker 1 (28:53):
Out, we would love to chat to you.
Speaker 5 (28:55):
Music.
Speaker 2 (28:57):
Music, that's very important.
Speaker 1 (28:58):
Yeah, and a celebrant. We may have got a used
one already, yes.
Speaker 5 (29:02):
Maybe the Robin terryl Chip podcast.
Speaker 3 (29:08):
We sh could bottle this feeling today, well, the feeling
of putting people together for love.
Speaker 2 (29:13):
I was actually just talking about the fact that it's
a Friday before the long weekend, we've got two forty finals.
It's just this is just the greatest day.
Speaker 1 (29:21):
Okay, I'm focusing on the love. You're focusing on the sport.
That seems quite appropriate.
Speaker 2 (29:25):
Yes, that's true. Yes, there's love.
Speaker 1 (29:27):
It's Robin Terry Kids Free Love.
Speaker 2 (29:30):
Twelve of October. We are having this pre love wedding.
We've got the bright and groom sorted, We've got the
venue sorted.
Speaker 3 (29:41):
Yeah, and we're asking if you've got something that you
can help us with then please thirteen one oh sixty
five were of course register on our wimpage.
Speaker 1 (29:47):
But Kathleen of Springfield, what can you do? Or spring
would sorry?
Speaker 4 (29:53):
So?
Speaker 12 (29:53):
Hi, how you going guy? So we have an event
higher company, but we we also drive Kombe's for transportation
for functions. Wow, we would love to offer them a
offer cash and matt transportation to the wedding in one
of our Kombe.
Speaker 2 (30:12):
That's fun. The Kombe. Now do they have a I
mean we're talking about seriously old cars here. They have
a breakdown.
Speaker 12 (30:18):
No, my dad's a mechanics so they're very trustworthy.
Speaker 3 (30:21):
Okay, I wish I knew about you. I'm am seeing
a wedding tonight for one of my besties.
Speaker 1 (30:25):
It's also her fiftieth and we were desperate to.
Speaker 3 (30:28):
Find a really cool car because it's big enough to
have the big wedding address in it too, isn't it.
Speaker 7 (30:33):
Yeah?
Speaker 12 (30:33):
Absolutely, So they can fit seven passengers and they're all
airs on, so it'd be completely cool for the bride.
Speaker 6 (30:39):
Yeah, and yeah, we've got.
Speaker 12 (30:41):
A few colors to choose from, but I'd love for
them to use the Kombe that's actually named after my son.
Speaker 2 (30:48):
Oh yeah, okay, Patty, So i'd love them to use
the light blue Patty.
Speaker 5 (30:54):
I love it.
Speaker 1 (30:54):
We love that. Thank you so much, Kathleen.
Speaker 3 (30:56):
We'll make sure it comes back to you as pristine
as pristine that Yeah, twelfth of October.
Speaker 1 (31:01):
Lock it in.
Speaker 15 (31:02):
Yeah, perfect.
Speaker 2 (31:04):
What's what's the name of company, by the way, Kathleen.
Speaker 4 (31:07):
Cool Comby Bug Higher.
Speaker 2 (31:08):
Cool Comby Bug Bug Higher, excellent to know.
Speaker 1 (31:11):
Yeah, okay, thank you. Donner of Green Bank, Hi you yes, hi?
Speaker 14 (31:18):
Hell?
Speaker 2 (31:18):
Are you good?
Speaker 1 (31:19):
You can help us? Donner?
Speaker 5 (31:20):
What with yes?
Speaker 9 (31:22):
I am a photographer and I'd like to offer my services.
Speaker 1 (31:26):
Excellent.
Speaker 3 (31:27):
Now you're going to tell us that something canceled, this
has to be a pre loved scenario.
Speaker 9 (31:33):
Well, what sort of weddings have been canceled and downgraded
to COVID? A lot of people don't want to do
it anymore. Did have a couple who have decided not
to go ahead with their day found out on Monday,
so I'd like to transfer that over to them.
Speaker 2 (31:53):
That's perfect, Gillige, excellent, So what can you like?
Speaker 1 (32:00):
What's that package?
Speaker 9 (32:01):
Look like? I can do probably six out what package
for them, which will include all their photos, a beautiful
photo book, a USB goodness, and look will throw in
a nice canvas as well.
Speaker 2 (32:18):
Incredibly goodness.
Speaker 1 (32:20):
How much is that worth? That's amazing? Six grand? Did
you say.
Speaker 2 (32:24):
Six? What's it worth? What would that normally cost?
Speaker 13 (32:29):
Oh?
Speaker 9 (32:29):
You're probably looking around about my rate's probably about four
thousand dollars.
Speaker 2 (32:34):
Four grand, but it's worth six worth six all day.
That's a wonderful gift.
Speaker 1 (32:39):
And what's your company called? Donna Ladon photographydn.
Speaker 2 (32:45):
Lodon is good? Thank you so much done, we'll see
you on the wedding. Yeah, that's perfect look at this.
Things are moving alot.
Speaker 1 (32:56):
Yeah, thirteen one oh sixty five. If there's other things.
Speaker 3 (32:58):
We probably need some wedding rings at some point, although
you rather have an idea about that.
Speaker 2 (33:02):
Yes, I do have something we might be able to
use for that.
Speaker 5 (33:06):
Wake up with Robin, Terry and.
Speaker 2 (33:08):
Kip halfway through the podcast. So, yeah, cravings you often
hear about. I think my mum craved tomato sauce. She
did so, and I didn't like tomato sauce until I
was probably twenty years old, is that right. I couldn't
have it on anything. It was like, yeah, and mum
had it on everything though, like three meals a day, Wow,
(33:31):
always tomato sauce.
Speaker 3 (33:32):
Man, see if you know when you're pregnant, which is
a terrible thing to say, but you're kind of like
it was. Certainly for me.
Speaker 1 (33:37):
I was like, I can eat.
Speaker 2 (33:38):
Anything, and so I did and just went wild.
Speaker 1 (33:43):
Oh yeah, put on so much weight.
Speaker 3 (33:45):
But Miranda Kurb being a supermodel, this is so bad.
She goes with the first baby, Flynn, who she shares
with her Landa Bloom.
Speaker 1 (33:52):
I give me a burger.
Speaker 2 (33:53):
She was craving burgers, Yeah, good craving.
Speaker 3 (33:55):
Then she had heart who's five craved apples, Miles who's
three frozen yogurt.
Speaker 2 (34:03):
It's getting worse.
Speaker 3 (34:04):
And now she's pregnant with her fourth, and I think
they've said that it's a boy. She's craving citrus, citrus,
grapefruit and fresh grapefruit.
Speaker 2 (34:13):
Isn't that one of those She's gone so low in
calories that grapefruit is one of those things that's actually
negative calories.
Speaker 1 (34:19):
Yeah, like celery.
Speaker 2 (34:20):
Yeah, oh my goodness. She started off with burgers and
she's finally worked away into something that actually reduces fat.
Speaker 1 (34:26):
Can you not do that?
Speaker 3 (34:27):
Likes just make us all feel terrible if it had
cream on it, I craved it, Yeah, sugary.
Speaker 1 (34:34):
It was bad, bad, bad man.
Speaker 2 (34:36):
Yeah, but you're allowed, it's your window.
Speaker 1 (34:40):
I know, you win to have opportunity.
Speaker 3 (34:41):
But then after you've had the baby, there's a thing
called baby weight, which has got nothing to do with
the gorgeous bump you gave birth to on, everything to
do with all the cream belts.
Speaker 1 (34:53):
And the only person who can blame is yourself. I've
lived it.
Speaker 3 (35:00):
It's fin I put on eighteen kilos eighteen and I
put on twenty kilos yeap Piper, I put on twenty two.
Speaker 2 (35:06):
Twenty two, and none of them would have been more
than what eight or nine kilos as baby, so more
than double.
Speaker 1 (35:14):
Like there's a bit of or nine kilos. How big
do you think of baby?
Speaker 2 (35:19):
Oh yeah, oh my goodness. So you have a three
kilo baby and then but then you had nineteen kilos.
That's a lot of embryonic fluid.
Speaker 3 (35:27):
Ah yeah, no, not even that, you know, get rid
of all of that, and I've still got really fat angles.
Speaker 2 (35:34):
What's all gone?
Speaker 7 (35:35):
Now?
Speaker 1 (35:36):
It's funny though, you know, like I didn't realize you
could get cell your light on your ankle.
Speaker 2 (35:40):
What a way to discover. We're just try and brush
it off.
Speaker 4 (35:45):
Where was that?
Speaker 2 (35:49):
It's a green?
Speaker 5 (35:50):
But you're listening to the Robin terran Kid podcast.
Speaker 2 (35:56):
So yesterday, Robin, I, uh yeah, I had I had
quite a sizable to do list with what kind of
things on it? Something like I damaged another one of
Naomi's wheels on her car. Okay, okay, I don't.
Speaker 3 (36:12):
Know how I keep I don't know how you keep
doing it too, because if someone did that to you,
you'd lose your minding.
Speaker 2 (36:17):
It's something different about the something about the dimensions on
her car. It's really easy to hit curbs.
Speaker 1 (36:23):
Okay, can you do me a favor stop driving it?
Speaker 2 (36:26):
Yeah, well, I like driving it, but.
Speaker 1 (36:27):
It's a Tesla and you have a white use.
Speaker 2 (36:30):
Yes, but when you chose the white just ducking off
to the shops, for example, it's much nicer to go
in the Tesla and you keep hurting it. But the
petrol's free, you know what I mean, we're charging it
off the side.
Speaker 1 (36:39):
Oh, this is about your cheap skateness.
Speaker 2 (36:41):
It's also that, yes, the environment, thank you, Robin.
Speaker 1 (36:44):
Okay, yeah, but you're damaging it. You are never crack
at me about my cars ever again.
Speaker 2 (36:50):
Anyway, Hang on, I scratched a wheel. I didn't rip
three doors off and crashed into another car in the garage.
Speaker 5 (36:56):
I actually did that.
Speaker 2 (36:57):
Once you've done the wheels twice now, Naomi, and I
fixed the wheels that it cost fifty bucks. Okay, let's
just let's just keep it all in perspective.
Speaker 1 (37:06):
Ten grand.
Speaker 2 (37:07):
Yes, right, So that's one thing. So so I had
that to fix. I had a lot of other things.
You know, I need to do some mulching in the background.
It's a lot of stuff. But the other thing is
that my phone Remember I mentioned that as soon as
the iPhone upgrade came out that my phone started fritzing
because I had the iPhone twelve. Yes, And as much
as I bitched and moaned about it and said this
(37:28):
is this is the company bringing me down, I still
need to go and get a new iPhone. Right and
because you know I'm trapped everyone and he has got them.
If I want to have I message, you got to
stay with.
Speaker 13 (37:38):
It, right.
Speaker 4 (37:39):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (37:39):
It is frustrating people that are on analogs and whatever
the other thing is.
Speaker 2 (37:43):
Oh Android. Yeah, So I bought. So I bought a
new iPhone. I got it online, brand new though, and
I got it delivered and I tried to set it
up and it didn't work. It sat there with the
spinning circle, and I tried again, the spinning circle, spinning
circle for hours at home and then say, okay, we've
got to go into the Apple store. So I went
in yesterday at midday, thinking, okay, midday on a Thursday.
Who's going to be there? School, holidays, Everyone's going to
(38:05):
be there, that's pact. This place was heaving. It's like
they were giving away phones. There's people everywhere. But anyway,
I found someone very quickly, and they.
Speaker 1 (38:14):
Are super helpful at Apple, and they said.
Speaker 2 (38:16):
Yep, no worries, we'll talk you how to do it,
you know. And so we started doing it and the
same thing's happening, spinning circle, spinning circle. And I said, oh,
that's what's been happening to me. And I said, that's
a right. I little sort itself out. Three hours later,
has not sorted itself out. And they've tried many different
ways to get it going, and said we'll try this,
we'll try this, we'll try that, and eventually I got
to go. I've got to pick up raft like that's
(38:38):
my day on my whole to do list. I just
watched it to go out the window. There's picks and wheels,
and so I left and it's still not working. I've
still got the old one that's glitchy, and the new
one is still in a box and I still have
to try and set it up and it's it's infuriating
to have spent.
Speaker 3 (38:55):
All day and then I can't Well, then surely that's
Apple's problem. Now if the phone is faulty and they've
got to I mean it's either that, yes, have you
got that little Taylor Swift grab we had yesterday.
Speaker 4 (39:09):
Of you.
Speaker 2 (39:10):
Yeah, I think it's me. Hi, I'm the problem.
Speaker 5 (39:15):
It's me.
Speaker 2 (39:17):
I don't think it's me. I don't think it's me.
Speaker 3 (39:20):
And I would have refused to leave that store and
I would have told them that it's their problem.
Speaker 1 (39:26):
You can fix it.
Speaker 2 (39:27):
I'll get Can I send you in?
Speaker 1 (39:32):
Get so embarrassed when he comes out with me? Yeah,
I'm quite direct.
Speaker 2 (39:35):
Can we go in together today? Please? You just ask
Josh if I could borrow you for a day.
Speaker 5 (39:40):
If the Robin Terryn Kip podcast, how are.
Speaker 2 (39:47):
Your preparations for tomorrow coming along?
Speaker 12 (39:50):
Robin?
Speaker 1 (39:50):
Not too bad?
Speaker 3 (39:51):
It's really funny because my son's a big AFL fans.
Their dad back in the day played for Geelong and
so he would have done anything to have his kids
playfl But they were the kind of born on soccer
and that's how it went. But we used to hold
these massive AFL Grand Final parties every year. Everyone would
come to Smarty's house and Tony would do things. There
(40:12):
were rituals like there was the naughty chair where you'd
if you were interrupting during the game, you'd get sent
to the naughty chair, which was in another room facing
the wall.
Speaker 6 (40:19):
I like that.
Speaker 3 (40:20):
Yeah, so, and you'd had to stay there and if
you protested it all your time would be extended. Always
the team he didn't like those people were sent to
the naughty chair.
Speaker 2 (40:32):
I like that lesso books.
Speaker 3 (40:34):
Yeah, the women were always warned that everyone would be
thrown in the pool.
Speaker 1 (40:40):
So if you wear white, it's at your own peril.
Speaker 2 (40:43):
So no matter whatever, everyone was going in the pool.
Speaker 3 (40:45):
So and interestingly, it's been nine years since Tony died
and the boys haven't wanted to do the AFL Grand Final.
Speaker 1 (40:52):
Until this year.
Speaker 4 (40:53):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (40:53):
Okay, so my eldest Finn twenty three and Lou twenty one,
they're kind of getting it all together.
Speaker 1 (40:58):
They're organizing the meat, going off to get the beer.
Speaker 3 (41:01):
It's also really cute and funny too, because Lou has
got his first day working at the Norman Bee tomorrow,
so he's going to start with us at midday, sees godfather,
who's a Matthive Hawthorne supporter. Yeah, and hang out and
then he heads to the Norman b at three o'clock
for his first every shift.
Speaker 2 (41:17):
Well, I'll be able to heckle him on the job
because that's right where you got the table of the Norman.
Speaker 3 (41:22):
Can you just remind him if you see, because he
loves his huge afl if he's watching the screens more
than being a glassy Can you kick him up the
butt for me please.
Speaker 1 (41:31):
He's literally walking around the house going, I've got to
do my job.
Speaker 2 (41:34):
I've got to do that's a really hard day to
be working. You've got the lines up on the big
screen and that's your team man, and.
Speaker 1 (41:41):
Then he's repeating it. He's also working Sunday for the NRL.
It's a horrible.
Speaker 2 (41:46):
Weekend for him. But what do you do with thirteen
one six five is our number? Belinda? Out of nudge?
What's the plan? Blinda?
Speaker 13 (41:53):
Hey guys, so my partner's got today off to get
ready for tomorrow. We live in a read with a
lot of retired nuns, and every time there's footy on,
I swear to God no pun that they think we're
fighting because the roof just blows off our house and
they shut your doors because my partner is that loud.
(42:15):
So tomorrow lookout.
Speaker 1 (42:17):
Yes, we just ask them to say a bit of
a prayer.
Speaker 6 (42:19):
Yeah, I will be fair your prayer for us?
Speaker 2 (42:22):
Oh yes, yes, if I could say a prayer for
the Lions as well.
Speaker 1 (42:25):
That would be awesome.
Speaker 2 (42:26):
That'd be excellent. Well me, Trey, and some drinks for you, Belinda.
Speaker 13 (42:31):
Thanks, guys, have a good day.
Speaker 1 (42:32):
Go the Lions go to Lions and Dan and Maruka.
What's happening? Which are you a Lions fan? Who are
you supporting?
Speaker 15 (42:39):
I am indeed a Lions fan. So one of my
friends is from Mexico City, so we're going to head
around to his place tomorrow. He's going to cook us
a big Mexican feed and we are going to teach
him the joys of being an AFL fan.
Speaker 2 (42:50):
This is this is multicultural heaven you're in right now.
You eat Mexican food, you're teaching them about AFL.
Speaker 1 (42:57):
Well, we'll give you a hundred bucks and that can
go probably maybe just more to the drinks.
Speaker 2 (43:02):
Yeah, yeah, we'll just you know, sure, maybe there'll be
some type of cut of beef that he'll be after.
Speaker 5 (43:07):
You never know, there is.
Speaker 15 (43:09):
Nothing he loves more than to cook meat and drink.
Speaker 3 (43:11):
Beers for yours, my friend, The Lions go Mexico and
way to cress me here? Are you more excited about.
Speaker 2 (43:19):
The NRL or the a f L NRL? Click? Okay,
and what are you planning for Sunday?
Speaker 15 (43:26):
Just a couple of.
Speaker 7 (43:27):
Beers with mates and put some meat on the barbecue.
Speaker 9 (43:30):
Okay, I enjoy that.
Speaker 15 (43:32):
Enjoy the public public holiday.
Speaker 1 (43:35):
Yeah yeah, we're all enjoying it too. And somehow this
one snuck up on us.
Speaker 2 (43:38):
But we're so excited. Yeah all right, and what type
of barbecue we're talking about?
Speaker 15 (43:44):
Just straight up snags, oh, snags, some sausages, maybe a
brisket that on the smoker.
Speaker 2 (43:54):
You have to get in early for that one started
in the morning.
Speaker 7 (43:57):
Yeah, yeah, it'll be a big day.
Speaker 1 (43:58):
I think it's pretty laid back though. It'll be a
good day, I think so.
Speaker 2 (44:02):
Yeah, it's all yours. Well I'm wired.
Speaker 15 (44:05):
Oh excellent.
Speaker 3 (44:07):
Maybe maybe in this score it's like, yeah.
Speaker 7 (44:12):
I couldn't be.
Speaker 2 (44:13):
I seriously could not be more pupped about this weekend.
I feel like, wait, it's the opposite of me. Just
keep it under a lid. See that's what maybe is
an ex player. He's keeping it under control, going off
on the inside.
Speaker 4 (44:24):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (44:24):
See, I'm firing all my bullets before the game.
Speaker 1 (44:27):
I'm so excited in a little corner, asleep by the
time comes.
Speaker 5 (44:31):
Around, wake up with Robin Terrri and kid.
Speaker 1 (44:44):
Yeah, lot's happening in the world of Hollywood.
Speaker 3 (44:46):
Really sad morning to wake up to hear that the wonderful,
legendary actor who played Dumbledore in Harry Potter has died.
Speaker 1 (44:54):
His name, Sir Michael Gambon.
Speaker 5 (44:59):
Even in the dark list of times, only a remembrance.
Speaker 2 (45:03):
To turn on the late.
Speaker 3 (45:06):
He died of pneumonia in hospital. Lots of people are
paying tribute.
Speaker 1 (45:10):
JK.
Speaker 3 (45:10):
Rowlings has said Michael was a wonderful man in addition
to being an outstanding actor, and I absolutely loved working
with him. My condolences to his family. Rupert Grint, who
played Ron, of course, said so sad to hear about Michael.
He brought so much warmth and mischief to every day
on set. He captivated me as a kid and became
a personal role model of mine for finding the fun
(45:33):
and eccentricities in life.
Speaker 2 (45:35):
Isn't that funny when you're a child actor that the
old guy on set's the one that's bringing the mischief.
Speaker 1 (45:40):
Yes, and he made him a role model. We've been
talking heaps about this over the last couple of days.
Speaker 3 (45:46):
Danika Mason, who of course is a Channel nine sports commentator,
and I'm really going to look for her.
Speaker 1 (45:51):
On Sunday's telecast, she has continued.
Speaker 3 (45:53):
To work despite the fact she called off her wedding
with just three weeks to go.
Speaker 1 (45:57):
But her exit, it has been revealed, demanded two things.
Speaker 2 (46:01):
Yes, now he's a pt used to or his dad
used to play I thing.
Speaker 1 (46:04):
In rugby league.
Speaker 3 (46:05):
Yeah, his name is Todd and through a third person,
so they're not communicating.
Speaker 1 (46:11):
Okay, he has demanded the ring back.
Speaker 2 (46:14):
Ah, okay, yeah, all right, so we would have given
the engage room given a big diamond.
Speaker 3 (46:17):
Yeah, I wants it back, which I actually want to
have a bit more of a chat about at some
point because I don't know who actually who do you? Yeah,
let's think about that, because who owns the engagement ring?
Is it the guy who gave it or the guy
the person or the guy or girl who received it.
Speaker 2 (46:31):
It's very it's blurry because it's a gift, but it's
also a promise, right.
Speaker 1 (46:35):
Yes, okay, so let's have a think about that.
Speaker 7 (46:37):
And yeah.
Speaker 1 (46:38):
The second thing, which really didn't go to plan was
please don't go public.
Speaker 2 (46:42):
Oh okay, that did not happen.
Speaker 3 (46:43):
But I don't know that she has to be fair.
I think that's happened around her. I don't think she's
actually made any comments.
Speaker 2 (46:49):
I'm just checking out her Instagram to see if she's
taken down photos of him.
Speaker 3 (46:52):
No, they're all still there, right, So you could argue
that she actually hasn't done anything that would make declaration.
Speaker 1 (46:58):
It's other people have found out about it.
Speaker 3 (47:00):
Joe Jonas is ex Sophie Turner, she of Game of Thrones.
Guess whose famous person's.
Speaker 1 (47:06):
House she's staying at?
Speaker 4 (47:08):
Is it?
Speaker 2 (47:08):
We're about to in New York?
Speaker 4 (47:10):
Oh?
Speaker 1 (47:10):
I almost Taylor Swift.
Speaker 2 (47:14):
Oh wow, yeah Swift.
Speaker 3 (47:15):
He said, here, come and stay at my house because
she is staying in New York to try and negotiate
all the custody stuff around their two daughters. She wants
to take them back to London. But here's what's weird
about that. Taylor Swift actually dated Joe Jonas in two
thousand and eight when they were both teenagers.
Speaker 2 (47:31):
Ooh, I know that's weird to me. That is very
straight anyway, the besties. I think her pad is awesome
in New York, for wouldn't it be.
Speaker 3 (47:39):
I mean to pick a city where Swifty on a house,
it would be awesome. And for those that love in sync.
Speaker 13 (47:45):
Ah.
Speaker 3 (47:46):
Their great new song has dropped, their first song in
twenty years. It's called Better Place. It's for the new
Trolls movie, which is called Trolls Band Together.
Speaker 1 (47:54):
And it sounds like this. Oh I love InSync.
Speaker 2 (48:05):
It's very insanc, it's very trolls.
Speaker 1 (48:07):
It is very true.
Speaker 2 (48:08):
You can you hear that it's from droll Well Trolls.
Speaker 1 (48:10):
The actual movie is about a band getting back together,
so it kind of works. You justin Timberlake and stuff.
Speaker 2 (48:17):
Yeah, it's been a long time between songs for.
Speaker 3 (48:21):
Okay, and there were speculation at the MTV VMAs that
they were getting back together.
Speaker 1 (48:29):
I don't think so. I think they were just still
using it as the height to promote ok Yeah.
Speaker 5 (48:35):
You're listening to the Robin Terrian Kid podcast.
Speaker 2 (48:39):
We've got tons of these to give away today. The
footy finals double over the weekend, so we've got meat
trays and drink packages to give away.
Speaker 1 (48:46):
Wayne of Cleveland, why do you need it?
Speaker 11 (48:51):
I've got four more mates and partners and kids coming over,
so we've probably got to be at twenty people coming
over on top of a family of five.
Speaker 3 (48:58):
Oh man, is this AFL NRL or both IOFL Yeah, Okay, Wayne,
I've got the same scenario. I was doing the numbers
last night with my sons who are hosting a party tomorrow,
and we reckon it's between twenty five and thirty How
much meat do you need?
Speaker 1 (49:13):
Do you reckon?
Speaker 2 (49:15):
I'm just gonna wing it.
Speaker 6 (49:16):
I think it's where morning at the butcher's.
Speaker 2 (49:19):
Does that literally mean you're gett chicken wings?
Speaker 7 (49:22):
Absolutely?
Speaker 2 (49:23):
Okay, Absolutely, it's all yours. You got one hundred bucks
to spend from us on your way?
Speaker 15 (49:28):
Oh fantastic, thanks guys, pleasure.
Speaker 1 (49:30):
Welcome go the lines?
Speaker 3 (49:32):
Yes, Renee of Northgate? What are you doing for the footy?
And which code do you care about?
Speaker 16 (49:38):
Good morning, guys. I'm staying home to watch. I've lovingly
agreed to look after my husband who is stuck at
home with a broken ankle. So I'm going to be
the slave.
Speaker 2 (49:51):
Yeah okay, so you're going to get food and drinks
and you well what these sits in front of the screen?
Speaker 6 (49:56):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (49:57):
Pretty much for both Living Gate for both games a
f L rugby league.
Speaker 4 (50:02):
What do you I think it'll be both?
Speaker 7 (50:05):
Definitely the lines, definitely.
Speaker 2 (50:06):
The lines, the lines? All right, yes, well it's all yours.
The meat tray and the drinks for you Renee.
Speaker 16 (50:13):
Oh great, thank you so much.
Speaker 13 (50:14):
I'll need it, Yes, yes you will.
Speaker 2 (50:16):
You can have you have your drink while you're delivering
the meat tray. Yeah, your breakdown the Robin Terryn Kip podcast,
Long Weekend Ahead. I know so good to big games
and I feel like if the Lions get us started
on Saturday, then the Broncos will kick it home on Sunday.
Speaker 3 (50:36):
I really feel like we can win both. I think
that the whole supermoon thing is working in our favor.
I think that Brisbane is super excited, that everyone's super
positive about it, and affirmations work, don't they miss and
ch Anderson too.
Speaker 2 (50:49):
I just love seeing Kip cringe say that he doesn't
want to believe it, but he will on Monday. Yeah, yeah,
I want you to.
Speaker 3 (50:58):
I want you to walk into the walking into the
weekend going and imagine yourself walking back into the building
on Tuesdays so elated because both teams have won. I
want you imagine coming up from the car park, running
late as normal.
Speaker 7 (51:11):
And coming.
Speaker 3 (51:14):
Coming out of the lift just pump, just pumped because
we've won both games. Okay, so what am I doing
with You're affirming your you're you're projecting.
Speaker 2 (51:24):
On how it's going to be information.
Speaker 1 (51:26):
Yeah, and we don't care what the score is.
Speaker 2 (51:27):
We just need to have one both exactly. Okay, all right? Yes,
where I am on Monday? Tuesday? I mean I am
come a bad start on Tuesday? Please come on, dad,
that's right, okay, yep, I'm ready.
Speaker 1 (51:44):
Can you see it?
Speaker 3 (51:45):
Can you see yourself coming through and just like super
just so excited, just out strutting through.
Speaker 2 (51:53):
Yep. No, well, I can definitely see myself coming late.
As you said that, it's going to happen.
Speaker 14 (52:04):
Hey to produce a cast with the best bits of
the show. This week, we chatted to the one the only,
Charlie pers and he's coming down under us, so Rob
decided to give him some fashion advice.
Speaker 3 (52:20):
I would say, we're thongs and shorts. I know what
are they called in America?
Speaker 5 (52:23):
Flip flops? Slip flops?
Speaker 9 (52:30):
That is really different. I think my crowd in Brisbane
would leave immediately if they saw me. Yeah.
Speaker 3 (52:39):
A Thong.
Speaker 14 (52:43):
Kip and his son Rathi are absolute besties. They do
everything together, but they hadn't seen each other in three days,
which felt like forever for one of them.
Speaker 2 (52:53):
We're out of the shops, and it just so happened
that he was there with his mom and I saw
him in the distance and I saw that that's there's
Raffie and we've got RAFFI yelled out across the shops
and he's seen us and his face lit up, and
I thought, here's the moment. Here he comes. His mum
puts him down, he comes running towards us. I'm on
my knees.
Speaker 10 (53:09):
He's got my arms out wide for the big embrace,
and he slices past me like Reese Walsh, cutting through
a back line and into Naomi's arms to give her
one of the grain.
Speaker 2 (53:21):
Cuddles and brushed his dad. That's great, it was lovely.
Speaker 1 (53:25):
No, that's a win.
Speaker 2 (53:27):
I know it's a win, but I wanted the cuddle.
Speaker 1 (53:30):
I know who I'd be hugging first.
Speaker 14 (53:32):
And with the Broncos final this weekend, we chatted to
Kevy Walter's right hand woman, his wife, Norelle, to see
how she's feeling.
Speaker 1 (53:40):
Are you nervous? Like, how are you actually feeling about it?
Speaker 4 (53:43):
All?
Speaker 11 (53:43):
I know, but I like on game day, I am sick.
I don't handle the nerves very well. I just have
that horrible vomit filling in the back of my throat,
my stomach churns.
Speaker 6 (53:54):
It's awful.
Speaker 2 (53:55):
Well, there's this whole thing that's going on in the
stars at the moment with the super moon, right, that
actually is really great for both teams of football.
Speaker 11 (54:05):
Good, all right, the university's fine.
Speaker 2 (54:07):
Yet it sounds like you've got that bombits feeling at
the back of your road again.
Speaker 5 (54:10):
There no rellas in the moon's week week.
Speaker 2 (54:14):
Okay, that's good.
Speaker 14 (54:17):
So as it turns out Robin and Kip know a
thing or two about love, as they have four weddings
between them.
Speaker 2 (54:22):
Hang on, that might not be right.
Speaker 3 (54:24):
This is going to be admitting something that probably no
one knows. But we actually eloped and then pretended that
the elopement didn't happen, and then had a big wedding.
Speaker 1 (54:33):
So how many times does.
Speaker 2 (54:34):
That make up? Oh my goodness, you had four winnings.
Speaker 14 (54:37):
Well, they've certainly got the ticker.
Speaker 5 (54:40):
Let's get married.
Speaker 1 (54:41):
It's Robin Terry and kIPS pre loved wedding.
Speaker 14 (54:49):
The planning for the pre loved wedding, where everything has
to be pre loved, has begun, introducing the bride and
groove welcome.
Speaker 2 (54:57):
To the studio. Mad Natasha, thank you, thank you.
Speaker 1 (54:59):
We wanted to are you are Yeah, you.
Speaker 2 (55:03):
Guys are gonna get married.
Speaker 12 (55:04):
Get married.
Speaker 2 (55:05):
We're taking care of her, guys.
Speaker 4 (55:07):
Thank you.
Speaker 14 (55:10):
And as it turns out, Tasha's mom is also in
the pre Loved game.
Speaker 1 (55:14):
So what would you like to tell your mom? Natasha? Oh,
we were getting married in two weeks. Congratulations Darling, Matt,
thank you.
Speaker 13 (55:26):
I'm really happy for you guys.
Speaker 3 (55:28):
So as from a second time round for both of them,
you're super happy about it.
Speaker 1 (55:32):
Oh yes, I've been through it a few times myself.
Speaker 2 (55:35):
So come to the jacks.
Speaker 14 (55:40):
The waters.
Speaker 5 (55:40):
Fine.
Speaker 14 (55:42):
Now we've got the couple. We need the dress and alterations.
Queen Comen has said she can help the bride and groom.
Speaker 3 (55:49):
We could hire in the food or we can alter
kip food prefer Okay, you are a durable coming.
Speaker 1 (55:55):
You guys are so good.
Speaker 3 (55:57):
I mean, I'm there all the time. She's always putting
up for boobs into my dresses.
Speaker 2 (56:03):
That's the good alterations you do. Okay, you know what
I mean.
Speaker 1 (56:07):
I have to wear a brush or book cups and
so it actually looks like.
Speaker 2 (56:10):
I have some Okay, next time I see you ok, ok,
there's a couple of so no on titters right there.
Speaker 9 (56:16):
We've got a prey last couple.
Speaker 14 (56:17):
Now, Brisbane, we need your help for literally everything else.
If you've got a wedding band you don't want anymore,
or some used flowers, head to the Kiss thinety seven
three wind page to register.
Speaker 1 (56:30):
I don't believe I actually said that out loud. It
was so bad, and then I was trying to bring
poor and into the conversation.
Speaker 5 (56:37):
That's terrible.
Speaker 1 (56:38):
Then we'll talk about mart.
Speaker 3 (56:40):
I mean, if you could just donate some babe, if
you could love it forever.
Speaker 2 (56:47):
On that note, go the Lions.
Speaker 5 (56:48):
