Speaker 1 (00:00):
It's Robin Terry and kids love.
Speaker 2 (00:09):
Do you want to get married again? You want to
try try it again with someone new? Yes?
Speaker 1 (00:13):
So this isn't a renewal of ows. Okay, So if
you're already married and you just like to walk down
the al and have a free party on us, I'm sorry,
that's not this. No, it's for people who have previously
been married and pre loved, Yes, who want to you know,
tie that on again. And I thought this conversation was
going to be about me putting pressure on you to
propose tonight.
Speaker 2 (00:31):
No, it's not, Robin. But we do have we do
have a we do have a lot of experience between us.
We've had five weddings. My my very first one, I
was in Perth. I married a Perth girl and it
was I remember the stress that week. That was actually
the week that the radio stage when I was working
(00:52):
over and over that launched and you got the whole show,
went to Perth for it because it'd all been pre
booked at everything, like it was before I knew going
to get the job and all that, and so all
these it was like it was basically being broadcast. There
was so much going on around it and I remember
in the lead up one of the things, this is
one of the signs that I said. I said to Leanne,
(01:14):
who was now max wife, I said, you know, whatever
you want, whatever you want for the wedding, you know
you can. You can have it, like wherever you want
to go, whatever the venue.
Speaker 1 (01:23):
Very unlike you.
Speaker 2 (01:24):
Yeah, I was really. I said, the only thing I
want is I want one of the tears of the
wedding cake to be banana cake, because that's my favorite cake, right,
that's my one stipulation.
Speaker 1 (01:32):
The other what was the other tears?
Speaker 2 (01:34):
I think there was going to be like fruitcake for
the old people and chocolate for everyone else. So I said,
all I want is bananaca. I don't give us the
little one.
Speaker 1 (01:41):
It's a simple request.
Speaker 2 (01:42):
It was pretty simple, and about I don't know, four
days before the wind. She goes, listen, a bit of
a problem with the cake. The banana cake goes really
dry when it's made in the wedding cake. So yeah,
we can't have you can't have banana cake.
Speaker 1 (01:55):
And literally that was the only thing you asked.
Speaker 2 (01:57):
That was my thing. Yeah, And so that was a
bit of a that was a fairly strongly the red
flag but then on the day, like I was so
nervous and unusually nervous and not excited, and that was
another red flag. And my mom, my mom, who was
the most positive and like you you're going to be
fine type of person, pulled me aside and said you
(02:19):
don't have to do this, you know. And I look
back on that and going, Okay, my mum knew that
I didn't.
Speaker 1 (02:27):
Want to get married and you didn't go through that.
Speaker 2 (02:29):
And so but yeah, but the show was on and everything.
Speaker 1 (02:32):
She would have been willing to stand up and say, look,
this is a big mister. I mean, it is a
big call to make, because it's funny, that's exactly what
happened at my first wedding.
Speaker 2 (02:41):
Really, you had the moment.
Speaker 1 (02:42):
I was in tears, in absolute tears. It was the
wrong decision to make. It was such a stupid thing.
It was like my Britney Spears Veguas moment where I
was marrying one of my best friends and it wasn't
very long and it was so stupid. And he's still
a great mate, he lives in Ireland. But now I
was howling and yeah, yeah, and I was like, we
(03:02):
don't have to do this, but I felt, I'm such
a pleaser as a person and I want everyone to
be happy. I just couldn't cope with the idea that
people had flown all this way and you know, all
that that sort of stuff. And it wasn't about the money,
although I think it would have been from my mother. Yeah, same, funny.
I couldn't even imagine that feeling. It was awful, and
it was obligation not love. Is the reason why I
(03:24):
got married because I felt obliged, and I think, you know, yeah, same.
I think I was twenty three. I was too young.
I mean, I look at my son. My son's twenty three.
He can't even like live by himself exactly. It's crazy,
it is.
Speaker 2 (03:41):
Yeah. So but you know, we both got back on
the horse. Yeah we did with mixed results, mixed results.
Speaker 1 (03:50):
With witness chest.
Speaker 2 (03:53):
The experience we are. So if you are ready to
have another crack at love, you want to try it
again with someone you were having a pre wedding. So
we're going to take care of of everything. Of course,
your clothes will be preloved.
Speaker 1 (04:03):
Yeah no, no, no, but that will be awesome because you
can go shopping with me and we might got a Vinnie's,
or like, just find a really cool maybe we can
beg someone to loan you an amazing dress like that.
That's going to happen too.
Speaker 2 (04:14):
So yep, we'll be able to get the cakes out
of a window somewhere that have been.
Speaker 1 (04:18):
Making it sound gross. It's going to be amazing. Fine,
I'll find a banana cake for you.
Speaker 2 (04:23):
Okay, now we're talking
