Speaker 1 (00:00):
On Canberras hit one or four point seven.
Speaker 2 (00:03):
It's Roden Gabby rapped. You are so thoughtful, you said
to me on Friday. He said, I know how you
struggle around other people in.
Speaker 1 (00:14):
Crowds, social situations.
Speaker 2 (00:16):
Yeah, and so you don't have to come to my
daughter's birthday. And I said, nah, I'm there, mate, And
I was like, when you wake.
Speaker 1 (00:21):
Up tomorrow morning and you go, damn it, why'd I
say i'd be there.
Speaker 2 (00:24):
You couldn't have talked me out it more. And it
was such a thoughtful thing. And so the next morning
I didn't feel so bad when I messaged you and
said that I couldn't come.
Speaker 1 (00:31):
You missed out on some good cupcakes.
Speaker 2 (00:32):
I know, I know, and thanks for not saving me any.
Speaker 1 (00:35):
I ate it, savyone.
Speaker 2 (00:39):
I made it really clear in my message that I
did intend on any multiple cupcakes. In fact, I said
most of them. However, Babe Olivia's second birthday present as
chosen and wrapped with the card written on by my youngest.
He's very excited for it. Hopefully she's yeah, she's probably
hearing this. I accidentally left it on the bench, so
that will cart tomorrow. But I understand your forecast of
(01:03):
a crowd could not have been more accurate.
Speaker 1 (01:05):
Well, it was a really interesting day on Saturday because
last year we had her birthday party at the park
at the same time. A year, same weekend, same everything.
This is easy doing at the park right because there's
so many different ages of kids that are coming that
you can't entertain them all. But if you just put
them all on the park, if they go. So last
year I got there early to hold the table with
(01:25):
the shade to make sure that we got the spot
we wanted, and there was no one around, like the
park was empty. So this year I was like, well,
no need.
Speaker 2 (01:35):
To get there early, particularly with the forecast of rain.
Speaker 1 (01:39):
Yes, so we get to the park at about quarter
to ten. It started at ten. There were six birthday
parties happening at the park on Saturday.
Speaker 2 (01:49):
Were there are a bunch of kids born in bungandor
over the last year or first birthday.
Speaker 1 (01:53):
But first there was a fourth, there was a I
don't know what the other ones were, but there was
one party that was so beautiful for the first They've
been there since seven am holding their spot and setting
up for a ten am party, and then on the
other side of the park on one of the benches
under the shade with a barbecue. There was a lonely
man just sitting there holding the table. His wife had
(02:15):
sent him down to make sure he yelled onto a
spot until they came to set the party up at
around eleven, and he was there for like an hour
and a half.
Speaker 2 (02:24):
Did he look like he could have taken him?
Speaker 1 (02:28):
I considered it, but then I don't think I would
have been able to take his wife.
Speaker 2 (02:32):
Right. No, smart, that's exactly that.
Speaker 1 (02:34):
You got a forward.
Speaker 2 (02:35):
Think that's where you're smart. It's inexplicable because it's not
like it's a random day, no like date, like it
is a birthday for all those kids at that time,
whether or not there the day before, the day after whatever,
that Sunday, that's Saturday, I should say, is.
Speaker 1 (02:51):
Is is their birthday? Every year?
Speaker 2 (02:53):
You must have mentioned it too many people git it's
quiet at the park on this particular date.
Speaker 1 (02:57):
I must have and they all went. And that's a
great idea, such a let's all go down there for
the day.
Speaker 2 (03:02):
It's your own fat.
Speaker 1 (03:03):
Anyway, ended up being a spectacular day. The only difference
was I got sushi from Costco last year and I
dropped it in the car park and I nearly cried.
That's that's why I did. And my Auntie dusted it off,
and some people still ate it. This year. My sister
goes to me that sushi' is not as good this year. Yeah,
And I was like, because it doesn't have grabble with me.
Speaker 2 (03:23):
I'm more like, I love a good car park sushi.
And that's not sushi in the car park. That's sushi
that's been dropped. The wrapped on camera four point seven.
Lady Elgood graces this with her presence and the reason
that Gabby will now be referred to as Lady Elgood
(03:45):
because I it's her last name.
Speaker 1 (03:46):
Mm hmm.
Speaker 2 (03:48):
And b because you said to me this morning, quote
my childhood home is for sale, and my husband won't bite.
Speaker 1 (04:02):
That's exactly what I said. It's a quote, Yeah, it's quote,
my childhood home is for sale. It was actually quite
a revelation. On the weekend, my mom sent me the
link and then me, Mum and dad all sat there
looking at all the photos, really crazy, reminiscing about your
childhood home and things that are different, things have changed
in the house, like all the memories. It brings back
of the backyard and everything. I was very young when
(04:25):
we left there.
Speaker 2 (04:25):
So but the reminiscing, and I suppose the nostalgia. I
don't know whether or not it would be wise me
to walk into my childhood home. I just think it
would be too overwhelmingly from an emotional point of view.
You think so, but if you left, you know, when
you're little and.
Speaker 1 (04:40):
You don't have SEVENI ish, I reckon, so I have
some memories, like a few memories from there.
Speaker 2 (04:46):
I think it would be emotionally. You're going to go
to the open for inspection.
Speaker 1 (04:48):
Well, we're working this Saturday and that's when it is,
so hopefully it doesn't sell too quickly. And I can
because Dad and I want to go and check it out.
But we're looking through the photos and Dad was all
proud because the barbecue hill be out the back is
still standing.
Speaker 2 (05:02):
Well done, Bob.
Speaker 1 (05:03):
And then he was like, oh, the bathroom's big. I'm like,
it's no different, so that's cool. But it looks great
and it's actually for a really great price. So I
went home and I was like, I think we should
buy this house. And I didn't tell my husband that
it was my childhood house, and he's seen it because
it's in bung indoors, so it's not hidden. We drive
(05:23):
past it all the time, and so he knows where
it is and what it looks like from the front.
But when you're looking through the photos, like there was
no recognition for him because he doesn't know where, he's
never been through it, and he's looking through and he's
just starting to pull it apart and tell me all
the faults of this house and barbecue. He didn't bag
at the barbecue, but I was getting really offended. It's
(05:43):
like he was he was calling my family names.
Speaker 2 (05:47):
Yeah, you know, I was so mad you didn't construct
this building. Like it's not that personal an attack.
Speaker 1 (05:55):
It's a bit small, only one bathroom. I don't know
about that color. I'm like, okay, calm down.
Speaker 2 (06:00):
It spoken like a man who will not be buying
you this house.
Speaker 1 (06:04):
This is Roy Rapped on camera four point seven. Oh
yeah tis the season.
Speaker 2 (06:10):
Well, I was at Westfield Bill Connen on the weekend.
The decorations are up, it's go time. Halloween's done.
Speaker 1 (06:15):
Yeah, as soon as Halloween's over, there's a cracking.
Speaker 2 (06:18):
Not a public holiday in sight. So what else do
we have to look forward to? Nothing that's what good
luck for the next forty eight days or whatever?
Speaker 1 (06:29):
Way to lift the mood?
Speaker 2 (06:31):
How everyone keeps going forty days? So fast enough, fast enough.
Speaker 1 (06:34):
Yeah, I'm not organized yet.
Speaker 2 (06:36):
There's that t who is organized?
Speaker 1 (06:39):
Santa? Santa is organized, always organized every year. But you
can write your letters to Santa. So the Santa mailbox
has been opened at oz Post if the kids want
to send in their little letter. They've released this ad
explaining it all.
Speaker 2 (06:55):
Who'd released this Australia Post. Okay, Australia Post. When you
do a deal with Santa, it's a big deal, all right,
here we go. They just sent this across.
Speaker 1 (07:04):
Santa mail has arrived at Australia Post.
Speaker 2 (07:07):
Write a letter to Santa, hand it to one of
our team members in store and receive.
Speaker 1 (07:11):
A reply right away.
Speaker 2 (07:13):
Got to believe Santa's done some you know, maybe a
pile of you know, when you send a note.
Speaker 1 (07:21):
To compliments cards, Well, you send.
Speaker 2 (07:23):
A note to the government complaining about a thing from
time to time and you'll get a standard reply letter. Yeah,
thanks for your inquiry. We'll look into it, but nothing's
going to happen to you later on. Sanda's not doing that,
is he looks like it. No, refuse to believe that.
Speaker 1 (07:38):
Plus a special gift just.
Speaker 2 (07:40):
For you, ah Santa.
Speaker 1 (07:42):
Yeah, so you go in and you hand the letter over.
No standp required because it's not doesn't need to go
in the mailbox because they just give you a reply
straight away.
Speaker 2 (07:50):
No you don't get it, mate? What magic?
Speaker 1 (07:54):
Okay, So there's a sample letter if the kids need
some inspiration on what to run it to. Santa. I
was supposed to put up her sample letter for you,
and I'm gonna read it. Dear Santa, it's me again, Charlie.
I'm almost a I had fun at school this year
and help dad pick up my baby sister Mia from
(08:15):
kinder every every day.
Speaker 2 (08:16):
This is a very specific example letter, so specific get
a form letter. You need to leave spaces for your name.
Speaker 1 (08:23):
She is cheeky. I try to share my toys with her,
even the lego you gave me last year. Thank you.
This year, I really want a science kit please, it's
my favorite class. Guys is sample Let a suck.
Speaker 2 (08:39):
Unless unless your name is Charlie and you do have
a younger sister named Mia and you do love science.
But let's just swap things out. So I'd like you
to try the letter again. I've changed Charlie for Gammy.
Change the change mea for your sister's name, and the
things you've been doing and what you would like. Okay, sure,
(09:01):
let's see.
Speaker 1 (09:02):
Dear Santa. Hey, it's me Gabby. I'd tell you about
my year, but you already know because you've been watching.
Speaker 2 (09:07):
You've got a real attitude. Gabby. That's Sata.
Speaker 1 (09:10):
And for Christmas, i'd really like a new car. Thanks
in advance. You're Gabby.
Speaker 2 (09:16):
The good news for you is that you can't read tone.
But I feel like Santa can sense it. And so
guess what you're get mate, Cole. This is wrong, Gabby
rapped on camera four point seven. I'm going to say
something and you know it or you don't, and if
(09:36):
you don't, it's okay. You pay attention. You'll become can
Beran by the end of the conversation. You think can Barn.
But if you don't know what this is, you need
to pay attention. Magnet mart is still causing confusion, yeap.
Speaker 1 (09:49):
So we have a new.
Speaker 2 (09:52):
Producer, Chelsea from Perth, been here months. This is her home.
She's Magnet is producer Chelsea magnet Marte.
Speaker 1 (09:59):
You have no in me. I have no idea warranted,
no vaide Okay, don't worry. My husband doesn't either, And
it all came apparent yesterday. We had like it was
called bung Indoor Rural, which was our little tool shop. Yeah,
we got one in yeah, like a little yeah, like
a it's at everything shop with all your like farm
(10:20):
feed and all that stuff. Anyway, it's recently changed has
become a mar To ten, so it's a chain one now.
Speaker 2 (10:26):
I know.
Speaker 1 (10:27):
We have a Mai ten out in Bangandor, I know,
and it's recently changed and so I'm still getting my
head around it because it's been bung Indoor Rural since
I was a baby. So still figuring it out. But
yesterday my husband asked me to go down to the
tool shop to get something he needed. And we're on
the phone later on, like I absolutely forgot. I didn't
go to magnet Mart and he went what And I went,
(10:50):
you asked me to go get that thing and I didn't.
I didn't make it. I didn't get to magnet Mart.
And he's like, what the hell is magnet Mart?
Speaker 2 (10:58):
As a can be on you still either way it's
you need to move on.
Speaker 1 (11:03):
Well, I was like oh, sorry, I mean mar to
ten and he goes, what is again, what is magnet Mark?
And I was like, oh, there was a chain of
hardware stores in Camera. You wouldn't have known it. And
he goes, why would you name it magnet Mart?
Speaker 2 (11:16):
My wrong question.
Speaker 1 (11:17):
I've never thought about it, but you're right. No, it's
not the right name for a hardware store.
Speaker 2 (11:22):
No, no, no, no, no no, And I reckon, I reckon.
I went in there looking for a magnet one and
they didn't.
Speaker 1 (11:28):
Have an
Speaker 2 (11:30):
I like it.
