Speaker 1 (00:01):
Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome.

Speaker 2 (00:09):
All right, everybody.

Speaker 3 (00:10):
My next Yes, two of the weirdest men I've met,
and I love him so much for it. You'll know
them as Laney, currently touring Australia on there. These are
the last few dates in their global tour. They before
Melbourn last night. Theyre doing Sydney tomorrow night, and then
they're wrapping the whole thing up in Brisbane. It's Paul,
it is Jake and boys. I haven't had you on
the show since August last year. So much has happened
personally and musically. Great to have you here. We've both

(00:33):
really changed. All three of us have changed a lot.

Speaker 1 (00:35):
Are you up right now? Like you like? You look
really good? Yeah, your your view is so much better
than it used to be.

Speaker 2 (00:42):
I know, I know you.

Speaker 1 (00:43):
I'm just giving the last time. Yeah, dude, we talked
about hardwood eggs.

Speaker 2 (00:47):
We did and UFOs. I think, yeah, we could.

Speaker 1 (00:50):
Still talk about that. I started the documentary last night.
It's pretty interesting.

Speaker 2 (00:52):
Did you watch what was it?

Speaker 1 (00:53):
It's brand new on Netflix and it's like apparently the
most convincing and like most reputable alien abduction story. And
they're and they're telling it. It's it's I've only gotten
through one episode. But it's also kind of scary. Yeah,
it's spooky because some alien stuff is you know, like
it's not it's not necessarily scary. It's just like fascinating,

(01:14):
and this one's like a little scary. Like people talk about.
There's like over twenty different accounts of people getting abducted
and having memories of this like metal rod going up
their nose. Yeah, and uh, and there's literally an X
ray of this lady from New York that they find

(01:35):
an unidentifiable piece of like wire in her nose, as
if she's been implanted with like a tracking device or something.
I mean, we do it to animals, right, and that's
their whole point, you know. But anyways, thank you so
much for having us, Mitch.

Speaker 2 (01:50):
Oh, come on, that's what people want to hear. I know,
I could go.

Speaker 3 (01:54):
Oh.

Speaker 2 (01:54):
Last time we had you on was August twenty twenty three.
We played XXL.

Speaker 1 (01:57):
Bullshit. We don't want to talk about that. We talk
about alien.

Speaker 2 (02:00):
Guess what I had driving into this studio today.

Speaker 1 (02:03):
A sausage egg here protein because you're.

Speaker 3 (02:06):
Rip, thank you man, I mean my creatine. No, I
had a boiled egg. I had a boiled egg.

Speaker 1 (02:12):
Oh, and that's Jake's favorite. I've actually never had one
because they smell so.

Speaker 2 (02:16):
Out come on. But you've never had a bold egg.

Speaker 1 (02:18):
No, I just like they're so off putting to me.

Speaker 2 (02:20):
Enough you got boled eggs.

Speaker 3 (02:23):
I live on boiled eggs too every morning, and it's protein.

Speaker 2 (02:27):
You have been a toaster that you get the carbs.
I love a little.

Speaker 1 (02:31):
Oh yeah, I just do like a normal scramble young
right there, Listen.

Speaker 3 (02:36):
To this, okay, and you'll know this. Shake in an egg,
and this is true. An egg has every vitamin that
exists in the world, minus vitamin C. So if you
ate an egg and a slice of orange, you've had
every that's your multi vitamin right there.

Speaker 1 (02:58):
And an orange bro I'm saying scream ambled and boiled
is the same vitamins.

Speaker 3 (03:04):
You've got a bat of the pen and he's gonna
have non stick, and then then you've got the micro.

Speaker 1 (03:09):
And I don't use it anybody. I do avocado oil,
but I wouldn't ask I'm allergic. Can't hard boiled eggs?
Are they cold when you eat them? Is that the idea?

Speaker 2 (03:18):
What depends? You can have hot but then you burn
your little fingertips. I don't. Yeah, I've always said that,
You've said that from day one. I've always been on
the poach tray. If I'm going to a cafe, say
it with.

Speaker 1 (03:31):
Me poached, but at home boiled with Paul scrambled.

Speaker 3 (03:38):
See, we're on the same already, instantly connected. It's great
to have you guys back. Thanks, I love you to
other radio.

Speaker 2 (03:44):
Shows, give you support. Do you want the other doing
the other networks? You guys do on the other networks?

Speaker 1 (03:48):
We don't know, right baby, right here, and you're right.

Speaker 3 (03:53):
We've had a glow up. You've had a glo up.
But we're in new studios. It's all happened. I found
a zap like we're all very happy. Like you know,
we're all on different levels.

Speaker 1 (04:02):
I mean, you look amazing. I'll take some what if
you have it in the fridge.

Speaker 4 (04:06):
It's okay.

Speaker 3 (04:08):
How is touring going? Because god, by all accounts, the
show in Melbourne was sick.

Speaker 1 (04:12):
It was sick. Yeah, we're so like honestly pleased and
we feel so blessed. We only have two more. We
started that. We started this world tour like a year
and a week ago. I think on the dot in Oslo, Norway. Wow,
and it's a beautiful thing. We haven't actually been on
a world tour since like twenty nineteen, like for real,
for real, you know, like to support an album that

(04:34):
we made, and then we go tour and it's a bittersweet,
like it's a bittersweet feeling. We started the tour where
the album had just come out and people were like
maybe hadn't even listened to it yet, you know, or
like maybe new one word to one song. And it's
just been amazing to watch the world kind of learn
these songs.

Speaker 3 (04:52):
Embrace you guys. Yeah, well twenty nineteen was pre COVID. Yeah,
it feels like to me, twenty nineteen was like two
years ago, but it's like five. Yeah, see crazy though,
it's insane, hell long different life, completely different life. And
then so during the album, now, is it exactly what
you thought it would be planning it all the way
back then.

Speaker 2 (05:09):
I don't know.

Speaker 1 (05:11):
Yeah, I think so, I know, nothing's been like wow,
I really just I didn't account for that. Yeah, yeah,
I think we Look, we've played like seven hundred and
fifty shows in our life, so at this point we've
kind of seen most of everything. I think maybe.

Speaker 2 (05:25):
Something ossis love you.

Speaker 3 (05:26):
Like I've got friends that travel around to all the
shows in Australia to see you live and then they're
right at the front, you know, in the mush pit,
get the photos with you.

Speaker 2 (05:35):
Not everyone has fans like that.

Speaker 1 (05:37):
You know that's true. We're super blessed. And I will
say that there is something different happening right now, like
there is something different.

Speaker 4 (05:43):
Shown more love than ever.

Speaker 1 (05:44):
Yeah, a beautiful thing.

Speaker 2 (05:45):
It's because we.

Speaker 3 (05:46):
Don't get anyone, Like we were talking about Titanic the
musical and Hamilton coming to Australia. Finally we never get anyone.
We don't get anything. Ariunda Grande this week is here
for Wicked. It's like, why for the global premiere of Wicked.
She's like, let's do Sydney.

Speaker 2 (05:58):
So something's going on. It's it's Australia's time to shine.

Speaker 1 (06:02):
I mean that's right.

Speaker 2 (06:03):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (06:03):
We played Adelaide the other night and I'm just gonna
be honest with you. Two years ago we played Adelaide
and it was like playing a nursing home and and
know this this time, this time it was the opposite
of nursing home. It was like kid it was dude.
It was just the energy was through the roof, like

(06:26):
I mean, it was the it was it was the
best show in Australiade was like Melbourne was amazing, and
then that that was like sold out Margaret Court because
we've played Margaret Court before, but the first time we
had to put the curtains over the seats, you know,
and then you know that whole thing. And then like
now that we just put people in the scene and
then but you have like Adelaide, Adelaide, the like, the

(06:50):
energy was incredible.

Speaker 4 (06:51):
Will Sidney to.

Speaker 2 (06:54):
I think you will?

Speaker 3 (06:55):
That's tomorrow and I the Horden and then you're wrapping
up in Brisbane the eight Wait is that the final
show of the whole to us?

Speaker 1 (07:02):
Yes, sir, that's it. That's eat Yeah, geez, I think
seventy six shows.

Speaker 3 (07:07):
That's inside. What are you gonna do? Are you staying
in Australia for a little bit offten? Will you like
have some downtime? A are you going straight home? What's
the plant?

Speaker 4 (07:13):
I'm gonna meet up with my wife in Hawaii.

Speaker 2 (07:15):
Oh hell, that'd be nice.

Speaker 3 (07:20):
That'll be fun. Where are you sharing the wiki? You
doing the main Island.

Speaker 4 (07:22):
I'm not gonna tell you ride on and I just
like to ride it.

Speaker 3 (07:28):
I don't I want, you know, put on the public record.
You Oh, interesting choice full seasons.

Speaker 1 (07:34):
I'm going to Korea really yeah. We were there about
a month ago and I unfortunately completely lost my voice
and oh we just weren't able to play our show.
And then we also just had some cool, like promo
opportunities out there that I really care about. So I'm
gonna go back and get those done. Yeah, and then
I'll go home and like maybe hibernate.

Speaker 2 (07:54):
That's commitment. That's a man that is committed.

Speaker 3 (07:57):
Yes, sir, that's powerful stuff. So you're gonna go back
for the I agree, round of a pause?

Speaker 1 (08:01):
That's awesome things.

Speaker 2 (08:02):
So the wait, whereabouts in Korea? Where do you go?

Speaker 1 (08:04):
Soul? Oh?

Speaker 2 (08:05):
That's awesome.

Speaker 1 (08:06):
It's honestly one of our favorite places in the world.
I have no problem going back being everywhere.

Speaker 2 (08:09):
Where do you love? What are you both?

Speaker 1 (08:11):
Soul in Tokyo? Really yeah?

Speaker 2 (08:13):
Huge?

Speaker 1 (08:14):
Yeah, we're a big time It's not it's just so different.
It's just so different but still so excellent, if that
makes sense. It's like it's a cool, like and also
inspiring place. To be good.

Speaker 3 (08:24):
I'm happy for you boys, honest to god, thanks, I
really am we I had you on Paul years ago,
and it was like years years ago, and I reckon
like twenty eighteen, even twenty seventeen. I had just you
on the show, and it's like so much has changed
for you. Guys like you, you're like making a living.
You can make it your career. It's your life. That's
that's kind of it's happened.

Speaker 1 (08:43):
Yeah, thank you, Thank you everyone listening for making our
dreams come true.

Speaker 2 (08:47):
The show.

Speaker 1 (08:48):
It's a really yeah, it looks like it looks like nobody.

Speaker 2 (08:51):
No one, no one's cheating him right now for the listener, Now, what's.

Speaker 3 (08:54):
Going to happen tomorrow? Do you think do you guys
talk politics or you don't talk politics? Stressful the American
is tomorrow.

Speaker 1 (08:59):
Yeah, we don't really talk about politics. I don't know.

Speaker 2 (09:02):
Stressful through music. Oh smart, So we're gonna play very
That was so beautifully said. It's really beautiful from you.

Speaker 3 (09:12):
It just feels crazy like I was in America in
July when the debate was happenings. It feels like there's
like a you know, let's go back to the egg
analogy that we really love. It's like in an eggshell.
It's like boiling, you're reaching boiling point. It's I don't
know if you feel that living there and then coming
to Australia.

Speaker 2 (09:26):
Who really, we don't give a shit about anything, Like
Australia is so chill.

Speaker 3 (09:30):
Even how politicians like running for election. We're like, well,
like sure, we don't care.

Speaker 1 (09:35):
Really, yeah, it's not as it's not as. How often
does it happen here too?

Speaker 2 (09:38):
It's the same. It's ever every four years, right, four three?
Every three?

Speaker 3 (09:42):
Ship?

Speaker 2 (09:44):
Look do you think I'm a political guy? Every three? Right?

Speaker 1 (09:47):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (09:48):
But we have to vote if we don't. You get that.

Speaker 1 (09:50):
That's an interesting thing that I actually just learned. Yeah. Yeah,
it's like you're find if you don't, it's.

Speaker 2 (09:55):
A big chunk of money. It's like a couple hundred
bucks if you don't know.

Speaker 1 (09:57):
I'm not mad. I'm not mad at that system. Actually, no,
we like it.

Speaker 3 (10:00):
We're happy to vote because you get like a sausage sizzle,
you get a make it a whole fun You know
what a sausage sizzle is?

Speaker 1 (10:05):
Is that like just a sausage rule?

Speaker 4 (10:06):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (10:07):
Yeah, it's like a piece of bread. Tomato sauce.

Speaker 1 (10:10):
Yeah, yeah, many day.

Speaker 2 (10:13):
That's the incentive. Yeah, food does help so much.

Speaker 3 (10:17):
And then the little local kids because we vote in
like primary schools, the little local kids come into bake sales.

Speaker 1 (10:24):
We need to take a page out of this book.

Speaker 2 (10:26):
You do, America, Come on, America, fix your ship.

Speaker 3 (10:29):
When I was in Amsterdam in the Netherlands, it was
like a national voting day and I wanted to go
to the and Frank House and like to see the
and Frank House, and I couldn't because it was closed
off because in the Netherlands when they have an election,
all like government official buildings are voting booths. So the
and Frank House was a voting booth, so people like
had to go into the and Frank House to vote

(10:50):
in the election.

Speaker 2 (10:51):
Isn't that crazy?

Speaker 1 (10:51):
Wow, it feels feels deep.

Speaker 2 (10:53):
It's very deep. Yeah. I also couldn't go and see
it so heavy, But that's me as well. It's heavy.

Speaker 3 (10:57):
Eye's have what I bring to the table. Like I've
weaned off that and I've started to go back up.
But it's kind of the natural live thing.

Speaker 1 (11:07):
You know.

Speaker 3 (11:07):
You're beautiful, it's all about it's a beautiful and you
guys looking very handsome too.

Are you getting some flag from the from the community?

Speaker 3 (12:12):

Speaker 2 (12:12):
From the radio? No?

Speaker 3 (12:14):
No, I'm I'm like the Gael King right, you know,
very sweet. Not as successful as others like the Oprah
you know, but like, oh we were nice guy. That's
how I see myself anyways.

Speaker 2 (12:23):
Not so interesting.

Speaker 1 (12:24):
I just see us mitch Man so much.

Speaker 2 (12:26):
Thank you. Do you guys read comments about yourself? But

you're feeling down low, like, oh let me.

Speaker 1 (12:35):
Get no because there's too much you just get that
brings you down. I don't know, it's not worth not
worth the risk, so well said.

Speaker 2 (12:44):

lull ready, m.

Speaker 3 (12:51):

Speaker 2 (13:12):
Michelle loves Michelle. I love Michelle and Mark. It's a whole.

Speaker 1 (13:17):
It's really odd and.

Speaker 3 (13:20):
You know what she did. I know we're wrapping up
and your team really need to go. But my mom
kept my foreskin when I was circumcised.

Speaker 2 (13:25):
To have time for huge this. She we have time.
I'm being told.

Speaker 1 (13:29):
Jakes kept. Jakes kept the sports.

Speaker 2 (13:31):
You gotta she you kept just too.

Speaker 4 (13:33):
You gotta she boiled eggs and sheaths.

Speaker 1 (13:37):
Let's got to wear absolutely insane, it's real. So your
your mom kept that. Yeah, it's like a pork rind.
Now it's probably a beautiful hat.

Speaker 2 (13:51):
Well for like tinker You wouldn't put it on tinker Bell.
That's awful. Shouldn't have said that.

Speaker 1 (13:55):
You holy, there's no way this is going to go
on the area. Okay knows.

Speaker 2 (14:00):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (14:00):
So they took it off right, and then they botched
it so I had to go back and get it
done a second time.

Speaker 1 (14:05):
Damn. That's that's dramati.

Speaker 2 (14:07):
I had some like doctor death Ship.

Speaker 1 (14:08):
He was like, a couple of months ago you went back. No, no, no.

Speaker 3 (14:11):
No, no, it's a couple of days. I was screaming,
and then my mom, no ship. The Doctor's like, do
you want to keep it? Like and I imagine that's
like his joke, and no one is no one ever
says yes, right, like who wants to keep this peace?
And she said yes. So she had her purse a
fisherman's friend, which is like a mint. It's like an altoid, right,
mint tin and puts it in there. And then I'm

(14:33):
twenty three going through my baby box like, oh look
how small it was, little baby, but little bunny, what's
this mint?

Speaker 2 (14:38):
Did? I like? Mince is a kid? Oh?

Speaker 1 (14:41):
Dried onions smell like like be so surprisingly pleasant? That
is I can smell.

Speaker 2 (14:50):
That's you know, a mint tin holds mint mint tin,
it's minty, that is I still have it. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (14:56):
Wow, that's the truth.

Speaker 2 (14:57):
That's the truth.

Speaker 1 (14:58):
Michelle, you are a wild woman. She yeah, that's iconic behavior.

Speaker 2 (15:02):
They won't justify it. Yeah, just because because I could,
is what she said.

Speaker 1 (15:07):
Oh my god, I'm glad I.

Speaker 2 (15:08):
Got that off my chest.

Speaker 4 (15:10):
Year olds come to the show.

Speaker 1 (15:11):

Speaker 2 (15:12):
Through yeah my trauma. Yeah, thank you. Boys.

Speaker 3 (15:15):

you're up?

Speaker 2 (15:25):
