Speaker 1 (00:01):
Let me just tell you this right now. I like
to say something hayful.
Speaker 2 (00:04):
I like to draw the line, turn around, cross it
and short it. So to pay for please.
Speaker 1 (00:12):
All right, everybody, if you are a fan of RuPaul's
Drag Race, or if you've got kids, you're listening to
this and your kids love drag Race and they're enjoying
season fourenty and twenty two that is currently airing on
stand or whatever streaming service you are drag Race on.
You have this queen to think. She put She's the
Hubble Telescope of drag queens. She put drag Race on
(00:32):
the map this year, I believe, ten years since we
first saw her on drag Race. It's a second time
on the show. I thought she was banned full of life,
to be honest with you, but she's returned beyond God
del rio, Hello, my queen.
Speaker 2 (00:43):
That is one of the best intros I've ever had.
I thoroughly enjoy that. Yeah, can you leave? It's been
ten whole years. It's quite insane to me. On one hand,
I think it feels like yesterday, and then sometimes it
feels like twenty years. Because as you said, we're on
like the fifty two thousand seats of Drag Race and
the nine hundred thousand franchise, so it's quite wild to me.
(01:04):
It's all sur real, surreal, surreal.
Speaker 1 (01:06):
It's a bit much Bianca, the Drag Race, the current one,
the Olympics of drag versus the World, and then they'll
do drag queens with just blonde hair, and then drag
queens that are smooth all overough and then drag Queen's
top drag Van's bottoms, which is you know, I don't
know whether a lot of it or a hayter, but ten
years for you quickly we'll talk about the two. Because
Bianca is coming to Australia. You can see it he
real soon.
Speaker 2 (01:25):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (01:26):
Do you still watch? Do you still check in and
watch the Drag Race franchises?
Speaker 2 (01:30):
Do you know what's crazy? I think because social media
has kind of exploded since we did it, that all
I have to do is catch up on social media.
I have not sat down and watched one since. Well,
that's a lie. I did watch season fifteen because I
was hosting pit Stop here in America and I had
to watch the entire season mainly because I was paid,
so I had to watch the entire season, and that
was the last season that I fully watched, but it
(01:51):
has been quite a while, and I think, you know,
when you live your life as a drag queen, the
last thing you want to do is watch other drag
queens in my spare time. So I'm probably the worst words,
but I do get the cliff notes and I do
find out who's in who's out by social media, so
that's really kind of been my gauge to keep up
with what's happening.
Speaker 1 (02:08):
Banka, did you enjoy hosting the pit Stop because I
think it's tricksy at the moment. Bob the Drag Queen
is hosted in the past, but you my personal favorite
hosting the pit Stop because you would roast the queens
that we were watching on the season, but you'd also
roast the guests that were.
Speaker 2 (02:24):
Well, any opportunity I get to be mean to fellow
friends is always good. But no, it was a great opportunity.
I mean, it's it's wild because you are watching it
in time with the audience and you're going in and
filming it. So it's a pretty long process because I mean,
what is it like sixteen episodes, I believe, so it's
quite a long process, and I had done two seasons
back to back. They had asked me several times to
(02:44):
do it, and I was so glad that it finally
worked out because I was off that year from touring.
But it is a huge commitment, it really is. And
also it kind of like reintroduced me to a new
audience because, as we said, it's been ten years since
my season and I really haven't been back to drag
Race except in small, little capacities, little blurb here and there.
So it was reconnected with the audience and also just
having several people going, she's so rude, which I'm like, oh, yeah,
(03:07):
so it was. It was a fun experience.
Speaker 1 (03:10):
Yeah, you're so right with the new audiences. I'm I'm
of the ilk that saw you in season six when
it came out. My boyfriend, on the other hand, he's
twenty two. He's gorgeous, right, Bianca. And he said to me.
I said, I'm.
Speaker 2 (03:20):
Interviewing twenty two.
Speaker 1 (03:22):
Better be I know I've been doing something wrong. Hey,
my twenty two year old boyfriend's hideous, and you know
on that. So I go to him, all I'm interviewing
Bianca and he goes, oh my god, I went and
saw Bianca when when they're in Australia. Oh really, when
was that? He when I was thirteen thirteen?
Speaker 2 (03:40):
Oh god, see, you see the scariest thing I've heard
is when the people come up to me and say
I started drag because of you, and I go, Now,
that is that scary? That is very scary because I
don't want to encourage anyone. I don't want to encourage
anyone to have this lifestyle.
Speaker 1 (03:56):
Yeah no me. So now you're playing to the to
the right wings. You love it? You know how to
play right into this school book. Yeah, you need tonake them.
I don't want anyone to do drag you.
Speaker 2 (04:03):
Know, No, I don't we have enough.
Speaker 1 (04:07):
Now I want to ask about Drag Race down Under
in its third season, I believe in Australia. Are you
you across the news that RuPaul has tapped out? He says,
I will not be hosting Drag Race. He did the
first three and now he's not going to come back
for the next. How do you think Michelle Visage is
going to go as a solo host?
Speaker 2 (04:25):
Oh my god, Michelle would be great. I absolutely adore Michelle.
And if anybody knows how the machine works. It is Michelle,
you know. And it's a funny story, is that Michelle
is actually the reason why I did Drag Race. She
had come to see me, not to see me. She
came to see a show that I was doing with
Lady Bunny and myself, and she was there to see Bunny, obviously,
And after the show she says, why haven't you auditioned
(04:46):
for Drag Race? And I said, well, you know, I
didn't think it was for me. I thought it was
for a much younger group, like your boyfriend would have
been ideal at twenty two, but at the time, I
was thirty seven, and I thought, oh, it's not for me.
It would be for kids. And she's like, no, I
think you'd be great. She goes, I have absolutely nothing
to do with casting, but I think you should audition,
So I did.
Speaker 1 (05:05):
So.
Speaker 2 (05:05):
She's a really encourager of drags. She's been around drag
her entire life, and you know, for a brief period
she was a drag queen, you know, back in the day.
And I think she'd be great for it. I mean,
she knows her stuff, and she's extremely likable, and she's
brilliant on television. So I think she's going to do
a superb job.
Speaker 1 (05:22):
He speaking of influences. Ten years since you were on
Season six, ten years actually today here in Australia that
we lost Joan Rivers, one of my favorite comedians. I know,
I know, I know you adored Joan, you worked with John.
Can you believe that's been ten years since we lost
her as well? Crazy?
Speaker 2 (05:38):
Do you know? What's insane is that I was actually
in Australia when she had passed, because it was I
had known about the incident in the hospital and stuff,
and then she was, you know, basically in the hospital
and basically on life support and then that's what it happened.
I was in Australia when it all happened, which was
insane because literally I think it was probably two months
prior to that we filmed in bed with Joan, her television,
(06:00):
her YouTube show that she was doing, so it was
a short period of time right after which it still
blows my mind that she's not here. I would love
to hear what she would have to say about the
current climate of the world, you know, not just America,
but the world.
Speaker 1 (06:12):
I agree, Yeah, I miss it, I miss it. Listen, Banca,
stay there We're gonna go to some songs when we
come back. I have something I want to put to
the test. So you probably have seen the trend if
you follow a gay man on social media. He put
this on his instas story. I was sickened by it,
the AI roasting my Instagram feed trend, where people would
upload their Instagram feed into AI and they say roast
(06:33):
me AI. I thought, why are we offloading AI when
we have Bianca del Rio, the Queen of Rose. So
I believe Producer Grace have we have we sent Bianka
my Instagram feed in advance.
Speaker 2 (06:44):
I believe so, I said it an where she opened it?
I don't know.
Speaker 1 (06:47):
Sadly they have. Oh I can't wait. I can't wait.
Wait say that we'll go to a break when we
come back. More with Bunker del Rio here at Kiss.
All right, we are back around the country. Bianca del Rio,
drag Queen, superstar, Queen of the World. Honestly, there's nothing
she can't do. She's going to be in Australia very
soon for the Dead Inside World Comedy Tour. It's in
January twenty twenty five. Grab your tickets now. Bianca down
(07:09):
Under dot com Bianca Great to have you back on
the show.
Speaker 2 (07:14):
We add thank you for having me.
Speaker 1 (07:16):
I'm gonna get you now. I can't believe I'm inviting this,
but it's an honor as a as a fan of yours,
and as a gay man. I think this is an
honor to the highest degree. That Ai has been roasting
people's Instagram's account. It's kind of a TikTok trend to
social media trend where you upload a screenshot of your
Insta feed and AI attempts to roast it. And I thought,
down with AI taking people's jobs, let's get Bianca del
(07:38):
Rio to do it herself. So have you You've got
my Instagram feed? Has it been sent to you?
Speaker 2 (07:44):
It has been sent to me, and sadly, I have
been scrolling through it, and wow, what a colorful life
that you lead. I mean, this is unreal. Now, this
is I'm looking at the I'm looking at I've gone
way back, because that's usually the test, and really to
find out the truth of someone, it's not so much
as looking at what theyve is looking at the tagged photos,
which are actually more disturbing than what you post. And
I would say, looking at this, I see and sadness
(08:07):
in your eyes. I see lots of sadness in your eyes,
and I can honest say it doesn't look like you
were bullied as a child. But I do believe you
should be bullied as an adult. I really do. And
I think that you're trying very hard, you know, to
prove that you have a successful life by hanging out
with such fabulous celebrities as Michelle Vissage, which is really sad.
This pincushion costume looks like something that is it a pincushion?
(08:29):
I'm not exactly.
Speaker 1 (08:31):
Yeah, that was one Halloween in Australia of some kill.
I was putting needles in strawberries, so I went as
a strawberry with a needle to it.
Speaker 2 (08:39):
You know, when you have to explain the costume. It's
not that yet. I think that's pretty bad. It definitely
looks like some runway challenge. You're giving strawberry realness, which
is not a compliment. I have to say, no, I
mean to be honest, I would love to be mean
to you, but it looks like there's nothing I could
say that that mean is what God has already done
to you so you don't live what's left of your life.
Speaker 1 (09:00):
It I will take it. That is the best.
Speaker 2 (09:02):
I've heard I've heard. Yeah, you will take it.
Speaker 1 (09:06):
And talking to the wrong people, I'll be I got
I love you. That was a producer, Grace. That was
a thrill. That was great. That was great great.
Speaker 2 (09:15):
Yeah, and that's only that's only a touch of it,
you know. So the things you have to come to
the show for me to ridicule you more, you know,
because that's what we're there for.
Speaker 1 (09:21):
Yeah, I'll be front row. You can come from my age,
gat relationship, my well my, he's twenty two now, but
my my, let's not go into it. I am proud
of you, thank you.
Speaker 2 (09:30):
I am proud of you.
Speaker 1 (09:31):
How old are you at twenty eight?
Speaker 2 (09:34):
Twenty? Please that twenty eight? You should have a twenty
two year old boyfriend. That's a good thing. Now, if
I had one, he would definitely be suspicious. I think
that's a good thing. Twenty twenty two A you're wrong?
Speaker 1 (09:43):
Yeah, all right, Bianca del Rio tickets on sound now,
Bianca down on the dot com. Christ we were just talking.
We're going to get all our friends together and we'll
bring your wife and we'll have it. Absolutely, it'd be
so much fun. Go buy your tickets a Dead Inside
World comedy tour Bianca A pleasure as always.
Speaker 2 (09:56):

scrolling on your so I might leave a couple of
comments yea even Yeah.

a screenshot. You can un follow after. It's fine, just

I'll make it happen. Thanks so much, my love,
