She's back.

Speaker 2 (00:16):
This is the second time this year for my next guest,
I Adore. I love her so much and it's so
good to have color.

Speaker 1 (00:20):
We be back.

Speaker 3 (00:22):
Thank you.

Speaker 1 (00:23):
How are you look? You look good? Oh?

Speaker 3 (00:25):
Thank you?

Speaker 1 (00:26):
Is this your merchant you're wearing? Isn't I was hoping
you were wearing?

Speaker 3 (00:29):
No? No, I should have I would have matched the
yellow on my shirt more.

Speaker 1 (00:33):
Yeah you are? I mean business? Christ Jenner? Over here?
You doing music? You're like, you know what? I'm dropping merch?
I got tracks, pans like, okay, best and less? What's
going on here? You're very busy?

Speaker 3 (00:46):
I'm busy.

Speaker 1 (00:46):
Yeah you're good.

Speaker 3 (00:47):
Yeah, I'm great.

Speaker 1 (00:48):
Yeah, you're like new music. I'm just gonna dream. I'm good.

Speaker 3 (00:51):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (00:51):
Am I good?

Speaker 2 (00:53):
I hope you're good.

Speaker 1 (00:54):
I'm good? Yeah?

Speaker 3 (00:55):
Good?

Speaker 1 (00:56):
Some drama because we're both good. What's the point? Yeah, Ner?
Music is out? What's going on here? You're like, yeah,
I'm going to just get what's the music release strategy?
Do you have one? Do you like the label? Sit
down and go? This is going to be the color
release strategy. Yeah?

Speaker 3 (01:09):
We try to, you know, usually it doesn't go to plan,
but yeah, we try to. We're just trying to, you know,
not have a big break between music. You know, I'm
just going to keep it going.

Speaker 2 (01:21):
Yeah, I feel like times have changed, Like artists used
to go like music in a big drop and then
break you come back to music, yeah, year off. But
then now it's like, yeah, two albums at once, remix album.
Charlie's like, yeah, just keep releasing the same songs and
new people on it. So I guess a music labels
inside that kind of changing shaken up how they drop music.

Speaker 1 (01:39):
That'd be an interesting I think so.

Speaker 3 (01:40):
But I also I feel like I got signed already
while it was like I didn't have the previous experience,
you know, h yeah, I kind of life. Yeah, Like
I I got signed like TikTok was already thing. So
I feel like that already started to change the whole
music industry. Yeah, you know, so I always wish that

(02:01):
I could have you been a part of the industry,
you know, ten years ago when things were.

Speaker 2 (02:06):
Very different, very different, like yeah, when the guy Sebastians
and the Delta leading the way. Yeah, yeah, that'd be fun.
It's a different age of AUSSI artists. Yeah, like there
are so many new Ausi artists. Even when I started
radio like ten years ago, it was the big name
Aussi's right, Like it was the Deltas and the guys
and like the Samantha Jades, I love them all right, Yeah,
but there I feel like there's a market now for

(02:27):
the artists like you, right, And we've had PRC on
the show.

Speaker 1 (02:30):
I know you love and you've worked with.

Speaker 2 (02:32):
I think that's just a we're just open to more
kinds of Australian music, which is.

Speaker 3 (02:35):
Great, it's amazing. Yeah, gives it, you know, people as well,
opportunities that they never would have even been looked at before. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (02:43):
What did you grow up listening to? Who you're listening
to as a kid?

Speaker 3 (02:46):
Oh, like, like I loved April Levine growing up. Yes,
I'm a Justin Bieber girl. Yeah yeah, I mean I
love the music and like I loved him.

Speaker 1 (02:58):
Who else?

Speaker 3 (03:00):
Yeah, I don't know, like I love do you know
Cheryl Cole?

Speaker 1 (03:02):
Yes of course? Yeah. Yeah.

Speaker 3 (03:05):
I actually watched them in Liverpool in the UK just
before they broke up, and I just found out that
they're still together.

Speaker 1 (03:11):
Really they came back, Yeah, they came back. Really, I
do not know that. Isn't that just Cheryl? Now her
name is y Yeah, Iconica, Like.

Speaker 2 (03:20):
I can't wait for you to just be Carla. I
mean you know, yeah, you know you've made it when
I'm just Carla.

Speaker 3 (03:26):
Yeah, there's no Are there any big.

Speaker 1 (03:28):
Carlos Carla from Bankstown drag queen.

Speaker 3 (03:32):
Yes, we love Carla, but like like Carla Party the designer.

Speaker 1 (03:36):
Yeah, no singers. Yeah, can we google famous Carlos.

Speaker 3 (03:38):
I've had this conversation with Carler Brouney the she was
the French.

Speaker 1 (03:45):
It's got nothing on you.

Speaker 2 (03:46):
We go, we're good Carlos because we'll take him out.
There's no famous Mitches. Can you name me one famous
Mitch other than the gay Mitch from Modern Family like
Mitch and Camp.

Speaker 3 (03:57):
No, even like a crazy.

Speaker 2 (04:03):
And I was expecting you to go you so you
could have said we weren't talking about interesting back pedaling.
Now there's that media training one of music kicking in. Okay,
So your new song Life's an awful mess. Goodness me,
it's not.

Speaker 1 (04:22):
Is it?

Speaker 3 (04:23):
Well you listen to the song, of course, Yeah, it's
a it's an awful, wonderful mess.

Speaker 1 (04:29):
Yeah, but even that in a town, it's like, come
on you all right, I'm okay, okay, good therapy. You
can bump, I can bump billion.

Speaker 2 (04:37):
Yeah, let's get some many know the song is great,
but I guess how do you look at life even
though it is we all experiencing it, but it's got
pigs and valleys?

Speaker 1 (04:46):
Right? What do you are?

Speaker 3 (04:47):
You?

Speaker 1 (04:47):
An optimist? Your glass half full? Glass half empty? Yeah?

Speaker 3 (04:50):
I think I'm definitely a glass half full. Like I
think this the type of song that is as well,
like you know, like life's and awful mess. It's not
really a song that I would usually write because I
am quite I mean, my music is sad and heartbreaking
for the most part. But I think, like say, like
just in general with like you know, like life and
death and all that kind of stuff. I tend to

(05:11):
like not speak about it because it freaks me out
too much. But I think I've been recently writing about
it and it's kind of been helping me to you know, process, yeah,
process and whatever else. But yeah, I'm definitely like a
I will search for that silver lining, you know, I
will dig and I will dig until I find it.

Speaker 1 (05:30):
Oh wow, there is Carla. That is just the name.

Speaker 2 (05:33):
No webe that is Carla, there's that bad ars and
I'll kill any it makes me get there quicker. Let's
play it. Life's an Awful Mess new from Carlo Weeby.
She'll stay here. We'll back after this on kiss. All
right about Carla Weeby's in the studio. We just heard
her latest Life's an awful Mess.

Speaker 3 (05:47):
You know what?

Speaker 1 (05:48):
After hearing that, I don't think it is beautiful?

Speaker 3 (05:51):
Okay, I'll change the name of the song.

Speaker 2 (05:53):
Please don't know wonderful. Life's okay. Life can be ship like,
life be many things that many different points in time.
I remember you had a song last year. It was
like October last year you came out the song that
was about your anxiety journey.

Speaker 3 (06:06):
Oh yeah, you make me sick?

Speaker 1 (06:07):
Yes, yes, which we had you on for that.

Speaker 2 (06:09):
How how do you feel like you are a year
on because we're in October now, like if you made
have you made progress?

Speaker 1 (06:14):
I know anxiety can be tough.

Speaker 3 (06:15):
I actually haven't had like a panic attack in a
long time, like over a years.

Speaker 1 (06:22):
How good?

Speaker 2 (06:22):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (06:23):
Progress, that's amazing.

Speaker 2 (06:25):
Radio. There you go?

Speaker 1 (06:27):
That is that tomorrowizing? That was nice? I love it.
It's good again. I'm proud of you because that's tough.

Speaker 2 (06:32):
I get panic attacks too, and and they come out
of nowhere, and like trying to identify the triggers can
be so hard and can take so long.

Speaker 1 (06:40):
So I'm glad you're Actually I lied.

Speaker 3 (06:42):
I just remembered that I had one on a plane.

Speaker 1 (06:44):
I threw up ship. But you know what, now, just
out of fanness, I played one.

Speaker 3 (06:50):
Sound yea, but but you know what, they're less one
in a year is fine, you know.

Speaker 1 (06:56):
Yeah, and planes Friday.

Speaker 3 (06:59):
It's not even in the plane that scares me. What
is It's like my mind does this thing. It's like
you're going to get sick, and then I panic that
I'm going to get sick. Like there's there's no reason,
Like I love flying, like I watched movies, like I
had a whole road to myself. I don't know what
I was worried about.

Speaker 1 (07:16):
Man's business class exactly. I love when that happens and
you lie down.

Speaker 2 (07:19):
I'm a terrible flyer because I've got sleep happy, so
I have to wear a mask when I sleep. I
have a travel when I plug it in. And I
went to Paris. The flight attendant was like, scoose, so
what does this? It's may seem like, please, it's like
an hour fly. Let me plug it into a little stop.

(07:39):
It was embarrassing, you know, so flying for me can
be a very stressful thing as well.

Speaker 1 (07:44):
I can relate to.

Speaker 2 (07:45):
And so when I saw you last, you hear you
we're opening for Peach PRC or you're performing with Yeah.

Speaker 3 (07:51):
Yeah, I performed on stage together in her set, but
I was opening for her.

Speaker 1 (07:54):
Yeah yeah. And then we were in the States at
the same time. I had a radio break. We're messaging.
I was trying to come and see the show, couldn't line.
How was touring? Was it amazing? Yeah?

Speaker 3 (08:02):
I mean I love I love playing live. That's probably yeah.
I mean I can't really choose a favorite, but yeah,
I adore it. And yeah, that was so much fun.
And then I didn't perform for SOTH like that was
in April, I think, and then my first shows back
were the Beth McCarthy ones that I did, so it
was like such a big break and I was like, yes,
I'm back, and it was just so much fun.

Speaker 1 (08:22):
I'm happy for you. Yeah, you're killing it.

Speaker 2 (08:24):
And honestly, we touched on the merch. It's not even merch,
it's like doing an a line.

Speaker 3 (08:28):
It's yeah, it's its own brand.

Speaker 1 (08:29):
Yeah, pluget what's it called? Because the stuff is very
very cool.

Speaker 3 (08:32):
Yes, space Cowboy, I still have to give you something
by discount.

Speaker 1 (08:37):
I can buy gives a code or something.

Speaker 3 (08:41):
No, I'll give you whatever you want. Yes, it's a
it's like a restaurant Spires Street where I guess, And yes,
it's just like it's colorful, it's fun, it's yeah.

Speaker 1 (08:51):
It's so cool. I'm pretty. And the music video for
Life and a for Mess is so cute with all
the rescue dogs.

Speaker 3 (08:56):
By the way, Oh my god, that was like the
best day ever really working with like puppies. I mean
were they were chaotic. They came in and they were sleepy, right,
and so we were also excited. They handed them over
to us and within five minutes they were everywhere. They
were ping and they were shitting and they were like
they destroyed the set within five minutes. I was like,

(09:16):
oh my god, but they settled down.

Speaker 1 (09:19):
Are you a dog person? You have dogs?

Speaker 3 (09:20):
Cats?

Speaker 1 (09:21):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (09:22):
I like I don't. I don't hate cats, but I
just had like bad experiences as a kid, like they
would scratch me and I was just like, you know what,
maybe cats are not for me, but I can appreciate them.

Speaker 2 (09:33):
I had a reoccurring nightmare about this talking cat. My
thanks for bringing it up, and his cat would like
it was like Gray. I think it's because I watched
Shrek and then pushing Boots with such a big character
as a kid.

Speaker 3 (09:43):
So then this cat donkey and pus some boots together.

Speaker 1 (09:46):
Yeah, I think a great cat, that's what it is. Yeah.
And it would talk to me and just brate me.

Speaker 3 (09:52):
And push anything interesting, never.

Speaker 1 (09:54):
But just put. It would push me.

Speaker 2 (09:56):
And now it's all coming out, broad out the traumas
to come back up now, I need a bad sound effect.

Speaker 1 (10:04):
Kylo Weeby.

Speaker 2 (10:04):
I'm so happy that you're here and I'm so happy
you're back. New music is out now give it a stream.
Love's and awful Mess and shop the apparel and watch
the music video. How about You're happy. I've got everything.

Speaker 1 (10:13):

see you cal see soon.
