Speaker 3 (00:44):
Really good, really good, just you know, doing mom things
and you know, work life. Oh this kid is she's
like she's like literally bang in the middle of both
them and I from looks to personality.

Speaker 5 (01:02):
To yeah, like she's in her biding stage.

Speaker 2 (01:05):
I'm like, dang, is she crawling? Is she is she mobile?

Speaker 3 (01:12):
She is crawling? Pretty dood.

Speaker 1 (01:16):
When they get mobile, I don't stay where you put them.
That was that was a scary time. Oh my god,
it moved. Yeah, it is quite funny.

Speaker 2 (01:29):
Jess.

Speaker 6 (01:29):
Last time I saw you, I was at the Grand Final.
You just emerged with Snoop Dogg.

Speaker 7 (01:35):
Yeah, it was.

Speaker 3 (01:38):
Very much like that.

Speaker 5 (01:39):
It was.

Speaker 8 (01:39):
I was shook, Like I was surprised myself that it
all kind of worked and came together because I'd got
to call three days before. So there's me just kind
of feeling very mummy and disheveled and.

Speaker 5 (01:53):
Like, oh crap, I gotta get my ship together.

Speaker 1 (01:56):
You got to call three only three days before is
when you found out you're performing with Snoop Dogg on.

Speaker 5 (02:01):
Literally literally, So that was like, you know, preparing to like, well,
what is every one wearing? Do I wear? What everyone's
I mean.

Speaker 3 (02:12):
As an artist, a lot of those things are.

Speaker 5 (02:14):
Like, you know, two months in advance, perhaps.

Speaker 2 (02:17):
Or at least two weeks.

Speaker 3 (02:22):
Hey when the D or double D.

Speaker 5 (02:25):
Yeah, I was so up for it.

Speaker 3 (02:27):
Luckily I knew beautiful, I.

Speaker 5 (02:28):
Knew a song by Snoop and Pharrell, and it was
very easy.

Speaker 2 (02:32):
Was it hard to keep it a second?

Speaker 1 (02:34):
Because you were a big surprise for this didn't get
lated at all, Like it didn't come out.

Speaker 2 (02:39):
How did you manage to keep it?

Speaker 9 (02:40):
Well?

Speaker 5 (02:41):
Listen to this? I I mean I get there a
day before, I do a little sound check, and I
think people were just like what is just doing? Because
there's a name on one door that said special guests.

Speaker 10 (02:52):
But I think people were still kind of like, oh,
you know you are you just coming to watch the game?
And I'm like, oh yeah, yeah huge, But.

Speaker 5 (03:03):
Then yeah, no one would no one got it.

Speaker 3 (03:05):
No one kind of no one had any idea, even
the people in the room that you know, we were shaying.

Speaker 2 (03:11):
Do you call him snoop chess? You call him Snoop?
Him dog Snoop.

Speaker 5 (03:16):
I call him definitely Snoop.

Speaker 2 (03:18):
Okay, it was because.

Speaker 11 (03:23):
We did them.

Speaker 3 (03:24):
I got on my get him girls.

Speaker 10 (03:25):
I got on my get him girls. I can cut
my way to the front taste.

Speaker 2 (03:30):
Yeah, we did.

Speaker 1 (03:31):
I know that there was also some some i'm gonna
say slightly slightly sexy curry when you and Snoop and
I've heard that Dad wasn't very happy with the sexy
choreographer Snoop.

Speaker 5 (03:43):
I think it was like more of my grandparents.

Speaker 3 (03:46):
My dad was like my dad was like.

Speaker 5 (03:48):
Cool, but my grandparents were like the movements of it
a bit too much.

Speaker 2 (03:56):
Jessica was okay with it.

Speaker 3 (04:00):
Look thought it was like like so super hip.

Speaker 11 (04:05):
Yeah, he thought.

Speaker 12 (04:05):
I was like the.

Speaker 3 (04:06):
Coolert chicken roll.

Speaker 1 (04:07):
You're cooling my eyes as well, jess You've told me
this off air how the performance almost went horrifically wrong
because of a tech difficulty with your mic pack.

Speaker 3 (04:17):
It was like they've handed me the pack and then
I was like, oh ship, I hope this all kind
of works out and falls into place. Midway through the show,
my pack literally died.

Speaker 5 (04:29):
I'm watching Snoops backing vocalists.

Speaker 3 (04:31):
I'm just going off his mouth movement.

Speaker 2 (04:33):
You wouldn't know you nailed it, like you would have
no idea your Yeah, I had no idea.

Speaker 3 (04:38):
Honestly, Wow, that's wild nuts.

Speaker 2 (04:41):
So you just read lip reading whilst.

Speaker 5 (04:45):
Literally lip singing, like lip reading singing doing it.

Speaker 2 (04:51):
But it was good. That's cool. You nailed it, Jess.
Not in for a pack ever again, I reckon just
follow the backup. He needs a pack, You need a pack.

Speaker 6 (05:01):
I just also, I ask you it was so hot
in the stands because of the fire. The fire was
it were you guys like like close to melting down
there because it was I was sitting up the top
and it was hot up there, so I was like
one hundred meters away from it.

Speaker 3 (05:16):
So I was just you know, I know, it was boiling,
like I think at one point I just felt like
the surface of my face the makeup just like started
to oil. Like we were so close as an artist,
I was as.

Speaker 5 (05:31):
A singer, as a vocalist, breathing and like all that smoke.
I was like, okay, everything's happening. The show must go on.

Speaker 8 (05:39):
Whatever happens is going to happen, and it is what
it is.

Speaker 6 (05:43):
This makes performing so much more impressive one hundred thousand
people as well.

Speaker 3 (05:49):
It kind of does like afterwards, Like afterwards, I was thinking, oh,
it could have gone really bad, like I could have choked,
or I could have tripped, or I could have.

Speaker 5 (05:59):
Fainted whatever like, but I'm glad.

Speaker 3 (06:02):
It just it just you know, the universe was saying, no,
this is going to happen.

Speaker 2 (06:07):
That that.

Speaker 6 (06:09):
Hey, before we let you go, Jess, we've got some
new music that we are playing from you. I've got
a little bit of it here, have a listener, so well, still.

Speaker 2 (06:18):

Speaker 6 (06:32):
New music from Jess maw boy, are you going to
be wearing a while? I got Time T shirt on

Speaker 5 (06:39):
I have this awesome T shirt that has been designed
by an incredible artist. Her name's Jessica Johnson from Mangala Creative.
She actually has created designed one for me. So yeah,
it's really it's like it's awesome. Guys. Check it out
on the OZ Music t shirt website.

Speaker 3 (07:02):
But yeah, it's like it's a burst.

Speaker 5 (07:04):
Of like color movement, black joy and right that's reflected
of my personality and my culture roots. But yeah, she's
it's uplifting, it's about visibility, strength and black mob. So yeah,
it's real deadly.

Speaker 3 (07:20):
Check it out if you can.

Speaker 2 (07:22):
It's really cool.

Speaker 3 (07:23):
I love that on the on the corner it says
like cooking analogy, so like my tribe, and then it
also says made an empty from murray ingredients.

Speaker 5 (07:35):
It's pretty mad. It's so sick.

Speaker 2 (07:37):
That's great.

Speaker 6 (07:38):
Yes, well, if everyone else wants to get involved, as
she said, head along to OZ Music T shirt day website.

Speaker 2 (07:54):
What you can music, because there's.

Speaker 6 (07:58):
A bit of a push at the moment not getting
the right representation it deserves on music algorithms at the moment.

Speaker 2 (08:04):
So important.

Speaker 5 (08:05):
Yeah, no, look that's what we want. Just raising funds
for music workers and crisis through Support Act and and
you know, really representing ours music, our industry and our
ob Yeah, celebrate how deadly our music industry is.

Speaker 2 (08:21):
Your a legend, Jess, Thanks so much, Jess, I love
you more.

Speaker 5 (08:25):
Thank you so much for having me on this show.

Speaker 2 (08:27):
A lot of mate. Bye.

Speaker 1 (08:33):
Here's a question, Will, and I think I'm prepared for honesty.
Here is it a little bit lame to name your
child after a movie character? And maybe before you answer
the question, let me give it to you from my perspective,
because so my most recent daughter, who was born pretty recently,
is called Murphy. Yes, and there is a very famous

(08:56):
character in the massive film Interstellar called Murphy.

Speaker 2 (09:02):
Here is a bit of that music. Take me to Interstellar.
This is Hans zimmer One. Oh my god. It is
a slow start, so I'll keep talking.

Speaker 1 (09:14):
So I I So, when I loved the idea of
the name Murphy, I actually didn't like I wasn't naming
I think.

Speaker 2 (09:24):
It was actually mims idea. But I loved it immediately,
like I was like, I love.

Speaker 1 (09:29):
That name, not thinking about the character in the movie Interstellar.
But then as soon as I was telling people the
name Murphy, a number of people were like, oh my god,
yes Murph from Interstellar, to the point where I was like,
I love that movie. I think subconsciously the reason I
loved the name Murphy it was because of the character

(09:50):
Murphy in the movie Interstellar.

Speaker 2 (09:53):
But so then I've had this moment, you know, in
the first.

Speaker 1 (09:57):
Little while of Murphy's life, where I'm like, is it
gonna be a little bit lame in the future when
it kind of like comes out that, Yeah, your dad
subconsciously named you after a real cool movie character. Yeah,
is it? Like, is that lame or is that just
like whatever?

Speaker 6 (10:15):
I think you've got to go one way or the other.
I think you've got to lean in and go like,
just that's what I'm named after. I met someone the
other day who was named after like a character from
our older from their parents named after like a character
in like Kazan Plankar or something like that.

Speaker 2 (10:29):
Howd they feel about it?

Speaker 6 (10:30):
That was great at ages over time, And it's also
really nice that their parents were like, we loved that movie.

Speaker 2 (10:36):
Yeah, right, and we love that person. Okay, tick. So
I think you either lean in.

Speaker 6 (10:40):
I think that the area that you're in, which I
think starts to get a little bit like, well did
you well, I think we know what I mean, I think,
but you know what I mean, I think a number
of people know that's your favorite movie.

Speaker 1 (10:51):
Right, It's not my favorite movie, but I love that movie.

Speaker 2 (10:54):
So then interesting because I'm in a boys thread with you.

Speaker 6 (10:56):
We were like boys, Murphy, and then one of the
fellows in the dread the first thing they did was like, oh,
you've named it after this scene.

Speaker 2 (11:03):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (11:03):
He immediately sent me like a clip a gift, A
gift Jiff Jeff sorry of Matthew mcconnaugh Hay crying when
he gets a message from his daughter Murphy. Yes, And
so that was like the okay, more people make him
the link to Interstellar. I mean, another part of this
is I went and saw Hans zim Alive. He does
the music for many films such as Interstellar. Yes, Murphy

(11:25):
when she was in MIM's stomach went to see Hans
zim Alive and heard.

Speaker 2 (11:29):
A song instell. So it's a great story. Well, I hope,
so that's cool. So it is cool, I think, So
it is cool.

Speaker 1 (11:37):
The other okay, the other part of this, which is
kind of like a little bit, Murphy's this amazing daughter
in the movie. So I've since rewatched Interstellar naturally because
it's just like my daughter's named Murphy. Watch Insteller again,
really like, lean into this thing. Murphy is an extraordinary character.
Do you think there's a world where my daughter will
then feel pressure to be as good a daughter as

(12:00):
the Murphy in the film because she's the perfect daughter
and she loves her dad. God, I mean, I don't
know if you've seen it, but effectively she works her
entire life to try and.

Speaker 2 (12:11):
Get her dad back. Yeah, loves him.

Speaker 6 (12:14):
Well, I think that becomes an issue if you're like,
that's fine, because she's not gonna know that right until
she watches the movie. Well exactly, she's not going to
watch it until, you know, really think about it, Like,
she's not going to watch it, what until for another
like probably six fifteen to twenty years she's going to
even think about watching it. The only time that actually
comes damaging is when she goes, hey, dad, let's watch

(12:36):
my Anna and you go, no, No, there's this movie I've.

Speaker 2 (12:38):
Been mean to make you watch.

Speaker 6 (12:40):
We're watching Intercellery, and I'd like you to particularly watch
the character called Murphy and how she is with her
father for.

Speaker 1 (12:45):
No reason, for no reason, it's a pen and paper,
take some notes.

Speaker 2 (12:51):
Yeah, then you're problematic.

Speaker 6 (12:52):
Okay, we'll just heard that Woods has unwittingly named his
new daughter Murphy Murphy after a sci fi film and Interstellar,
and you don't and you were saying like, you're not
sure whether that's.

Speaker 9 (13:04):
Cool or not.

Speaker 1 (13:05):
Well, that's it because I just don't know if it
was a little bit. And then what I was just
telling you before the song is the character Murphy in
the film Interstellar is just this just this perfect character.

Speaker 2 (13:16):
She's an extraordinary daughter. And that's why you subconsciously loved
the name. You know, Yes, I think.

Speaker 6 (13:23):
Your conscious alf and that's everyone's I mean, certainly on
the denial side of names. You know, like the names
you reject are subconsciously because you probably hated someone and
who was like not nice to you in your life,
who had that name.

Speaker 2 (13:35):
That's the most frustrating suppressed memory there somewhere you don't
even know why. You just go, nah, hate that.

Speaker 1 (13:40):
But you know when your partner rejects her name, and
it's because they knew, it's just like, yeah, it plays
it's a valid.

Speaker 6 (13:47):
At the time when they go like, oh, hey, look
I don't lay that name because you know that I
knew this person. But you know at least they're putting
words to that. I feel like a lot of the
time you just say no and you go, I.

Speaker 2 (13:59):
Don't know why.

Speaker 6 (14:00):
Yeah, that's true, but the reason will be exactly the
same reason that you can't exactly pinpoint the memory that
gives you the same justification for it. Yeah, but you
were asking where it was lame. And we had this
moment the other day because we're rewatching stranger things.

Speaker 2 (14:14):
A little side.

Speaker 6 (14:15):
Note, the David Arbor Millie Bobby Brown thing.

Speaker 2 (14:20):
Nothing nothing in it, nothing in it, no harm, no
foun the fact that Millie Bobby Brown was made a
complaint to Netflix about him. Yeah, that's not true. Yeah,
Daly mail matted up. We were we in trouble. We
were on this radio. There's a lot of alleged and
a parent thrown around. Oh great, don't worry about that.

Speaker 6 (14:34):
If there wasn't there is now in the podcast inserted
them Margaret Man. Daniel's got the word allege said by
me twenty different times.

Speaker 2 (14:42):
You can just throw it in anywhere. Brilliant. You never
get me, guys, You'll never get me.

Speaker 12 (14:46):
Yeah.

Speaker 6 (14:46):
Yeah, so no, Yeah, they're chumming as all hell, which
is lovely anyway. I was saying to Sam, we're rewatching
season four becus season five comes out. I remember twenty
six very excited when Max came on screen because my
daughter's name is Max. We had the mo We were like,
oh my god. The first time the name Max came
up for us for a girl was we were watching
a Stranger Things.

Speaker 2 (15:04):
Oh I knew.

Speaker 1 (15:05):
So you never had the moment where you were like
you saw the character and went let's call out.

Speaker 4 (15:08):
We did?

Speaker 2 (15:09):
We did well? You did?

Speaker 1 (15:10):
You just like you just went like, there's a great
like yeah, Max, the name Max, love it?

Speaker 2 (15:15):
Love it? Yeah?

Speaker 1 (15:16):
Right, So you just went into it being like that
that gave us the inspiration.

Speaker 2 (15:20):
How is it rewatching? We forgot Stranger Things? Oh yeah,
so that she came on screen.

Speaker 1 (15:26):
Sorry, So you went like that's that was the impetus
for the name Max, and then you forgot about it.

Speaker 6 (15:31):
Yeah, she came on screen and I was I paused
it and I was like, do we know Max after Max?

Speaker 2 (15:36):
And Sam was like I think we did.

Speaker 9 (15:39):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (15:40):
But but interestingly.

Speaker 6 (15:42):
Though, just the name because it's I actually hate Max character.
I'm over right, yeah, over It's a bit of as
is her and Lucas's relationship sure.

Speaker 2 (15:53):
Yeah, they're clearly not into each other. Yeah, it's very
true anyway.

Speaker 1 (15:57):
N Yeah, that's what you'll be like for Max's first
girlfriend or boyfriend.

Speaker 2 (16:05):
Clearly, let's give away six and a half k.

Speaker 1 (16:11):
Will what is loose Change Legends? So you win six
and a half thousand dollars right now if you can
tell me how much money this is now, if it's
not obvious, that's me dropping coins into a bowl. Sky's

Speaker 2 (16:40):
Sky, Sorry, I'm just being told that. It's How did
it go back down to six k? Joe?

Speaker 3 (16:45):
Have we gone up?

Speaker 5 (16:46):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (16:46):
I don't think we have.

Speaker 1 (16:47):
So here's the thing in the rap break yesterday, just
to take your back, we tried to talk to you
and you were you weren't listening.

Speaker 2 (16:53):
To us, so working probably is that right?

Speaker 1 (16:55):
Well, I think work is listening to the radio show
that you're producing here.

Speaker 2 (17:00):
So we went up to six and a half. So
it is right. You're gonna have to speak to the
boss to figure out if we have that in the budget.

Speaker 1 (17:04):
But it's six and a half k six and a
half okay, So Sky, don't worry. There's a little bit
of off air chat going on there, but it sounds like
we have secured six and a half thousand dollars for
loose change legends.

Speaker 11 (17:15):
Oh my god, I'm shaking. I keep swapping in between
two numbers because I went through your podcast Wow, and
I listened to your like your hints, O, your subtle hints.

Speaker 1 (17:28):
Here we go, So you've done the work. I'm happy
to hear that you've done the work, skuy. So how
much money do you.

Speaker 2 (17:33):
Think it is?

Speaker 11 (17:34):
I'm going to say three dollars three dollars eighty.

Speaker 2 (17:44):
Incorrect.

Speaker 3 (17:46):
Oh no, you're getting.

Speaker 2 (17:48):
You're getting big um from me. Those guys dig ums.

Speaker 11 (17:52):

Speaker 12 (18:09):
No, I'm feeling pretty confident. Actually, I think I listened.

Speaker 4 (18:14):

Speaker 12 (18:15):
So I just gets three eighty which was going to
be my original guess, and someone's already gets three eighty five,
So I'm going to go three dollars ninety incorrect. Oh no, okay,

Well, Joe taking calls right now.

Speaker 6 (19:15):
What happened when you threw a party at your parents'
house on thirteen and six five?

Speaker 2 (19:19):
We loved it the other day when we did it, it
got some great goals.

Speaker 8 (19:22):
We came home to permanent marker all over the walls,
to the back of the toilet, the couch.

Speaker 7 (19:28):
There was broken glass all over the driveway.

Speaker 11 (19:32):
We put my mum's friend's car into the swimming pool.

Speaker 1 (19:36):
Income well, let's see if we can top car pool.
I mean, that's a that's a high bar.

Speaker 2 (19:42):
We've got.

Speaker 1 (19:42):
Barbara here, Barbara, this was at a friend's house party
at the parents house.

Speaker 13 (19:47):
Hey, guys, firstly, love you both.

Speaker 7 (19:49):
Love listen to.

Speaker 13 (19:49):
You all the time.

Speaker 2 (19:50):
I love you too.

Speaker 4 (19:51):
Oh my god, this to w It.

Speaker 13 (19:53):
Was so embarrassing because this was ten years ago. I
was fresh eighteen. I kind of said the scene. One
of my mates who was like my crush at the time,
you know. Anyway, he had a house party in the
hot tub with a few friends. It was a great
night anyway. I mind, you come from a Greek household,
so at the time, like location services didn't exist.

Speaker 11 (20:12):
Anyway.

Speaker 13 (20:13):
I hear my name being yelled out like brah anyway,
then I see police sirens. It was my mother. She
called the cops to find where I was to track
my phone, and it shut down the whole house party.

Speaker 8 (20:25):
Because of me.

Speaker 13 (20:27):
My Yeah, it's so embarrassing, but you know, it was
ten years ago.

Speaker 1 (20:32):
So sorry, you're all in the hot tub just having
a right old time. The cops rock up because your
mum has snitched on you.

Speaker 5 (20:39):
Yep, she was like, where is my daughter?

Speaker 13 (20:42):
And look in a Greek household, if you're not home before,
like yeah, right, twelve o'clock, you're dead.

Speaker 11 (20:48):
Wow.

Speaker 13 (20:48):
And I was fresh eighteen, at the time, and yeah,
and then the cops rocked up and actually shut down
the house party because of me.

Speaker 2 (20:57):
You get cuffed. They coffee. That would have been pretty cool.

Speaker 4 (21:02):
Slow runs, Riley.

Speaker 2 (21:08):
What happened when you threw a party at your parents' house? Riley?

Speaker 4 (21:11):
Yeah, so that's party again. My parents had a really
expensive wine rack upstairs, and I capped the party at
a certain amount of people ended up getting gate crashed,
and so there was just way more people than I thought.
And we're upstairs dancing away to the music. Next minute,
this wine rack has just like someone's lent on it

(21:33):
or something's happened, and it's just collapsed. And right behind
the wine rack was a really expensive family portrait, and
so this wine rack's just collapsed. All these bottles are
exploding everywhere, and just behind the family portrait is just
getting covered in all of this red wine and all
the paintwork and plaster and everything on the wall as well.

(21:56):
My parents came home the next day, and let's just
say they were not happy at all.

Speaker 6 (22:02):
Do you remember anything that, like any of the language
they used, Riley, I always find.

Speaker 4 (22:05):
Oh it's my dad, yes, so like mum, mom's a
bit Dad saw it. Mom like speaks more than mom
dad does. And yeah, Mom was just.

Speaker 9 (22:14):
Like going off about how like, you know how much
the portrait like mentor and it's being completely ruined and
we can't go back in time and get that photo
again type of thing.

Speaker 4 (22:27):
And then Dad just Dad didn't say much, but he
just looked at me with that like disappointing look, and
it's just like, you know, he didn't need to say anything,
you know, the disappointment faith was enough.

Speaker 1 (22:42):
That's the line that I always got me, he used to.
Dad used to say, I'm not angry, I'm disappointed.

Speaker 6 (22:46):
You get angry.

Speaker 2 (22:49):
Oh, yeah, it was.

Speaker 9 (22:51):
Yeah, it was a rough rough one.

Speaker 1 (22:54):
Well, let's go to Tracy here. Tracy on thirty one
six five. Tracy, what happened when you threw a part
at your parents' house?

Speaker 12 (23:01):
Hi?

Speaker 7 (23:02):
Boys, wasn't it my house? It was at my best
friend's house. And it was a was a great house
to have a party in whenever they went away. It
was always a great opportunity. So it was a massive
party and there was this really cute guy at the party.
I'm all underneath the house dancing away underneath the house.
Underneath the house had a big massive rumpus room and

(23:24):
big garage pool everything, and there was this really cute
guy there. And anyway, when the knight had finished, I
was like, where's that guy gone? And it was like
dark as well, because everybody had passed out everywhere. Where's
this guy gone? I'm looking in the bathroom. He's not there.
And I go into the garage and he's sitting in
the garage just like this door's ajar and there's a

(23:45):
brick kind of like keeping the door open. He was
just sitting on this best of bricks sort of thing.
And I looked at him and I said, are you okay?
And he looked back up at me and he's like, yeah,
I'm fine.

Speaker 10 (23:55):
Okay, that's just really weird.

Speaker 7 (23:57):
He's just sitting in the dark on the bricks. Anyway,
he disappeared the next day and we were like the
house of a mess. So we're all cleaning up, and
I went into the garage and that a brick was
where he was sitting. Was a little mister whitty poopoo.
He done a little poo poo, oh, a little one,
a big poo.

Speaker 2 (24:17):
Poo for the garage. You didnt done for the garage.

Speaker 7 (24:20):
So disgusting. Well, the toilet was literally like around the corner,
so he's obviously, you know, dagger through. We couldn't find
a bathroom, so it just something Stacy.

Speaker 1 (24:32):
You got him midpoop, so he's mid when he says everything, okay,
he's gotta go.

Speaker 7 (24:38):
Yes, I didn't realize he had his pants down. But
really great, have a good week eight week guys.

Speaker 6 (24:51):
Hey, good afternoon everyone, Will and Woody woulds well by.

Speaker 1 (24:54):
Christiana had her seventieth birthday last week.

Speaker 2 (24:59):
Oh yes, I didn't get lost in the time vortex.
I think it was last week.

Speaker 1 (25:03):
We didn't talk about it last week, but I mean
just Truth or Mighty wasn't affair. It was James Bond themed,
She terrifying me. I don't know if you've seen the
movie The Substance.

Speaker 2 (25:15):
No, I haven't anymore.

Speaker 1 (25:17):
Yes, yeah, And if you haven't seen it, it's just
Demi Moore been obsessed with looking young.

Speaker 2 (25:21):
Chris Jenner. Every time I see her is getting younger.
She's becoming full Benjamin Button. She's got photos of her
standing next to her daughter Kim. You don't know which ones, which, Wow, unbelievable,
it's so undesirable. Yeah, it's weird because we look at
It's like, you shouldn't think of anything worse than looking
younger than my child. Just it's not right.

Speaker 1 (25:39):
Something from there she would love for the megalomaniacs, and
it looked like she was loving it. So she held
her party at Jeff Bezos's house. I don't know how
that happens. I don't know how Chris Jeff and go, hey, Jeff,
you've got a good house. Can I have my party?
It's just it's arrange.

Speaker 6 (25:57):
The guest list was honestly like, you couldn't pay me
to be in a room is with any of those people,
let alone altogether.

Speaker 1 (26:04):
This is what I'm talking about, because my first thought
was how horrific with the small talk be and will
I want to take you there?

Speaker 2 (26:10):
Because I don't want to go.

Speaker 1 (26:13):
I've leave, Okay, I've locked the doors in this hypothetical,
you cannot leave. Welcome to your hell, will, It's Chris
Janner's seventieth birthday. You're there, You're in attack.

Speaker 2 (26:24):
I can't wait.

Speaker 6 (26:24):
When I read this article, you know, they often go, oh,
the guest list, you know, and I'm sure we'll go
through them. And they thought that I read them like
I couldn't. I actually, I couldn't have come up with
a worst list because you know, and they put the
heavy hitters at the top of the guest list.

Speaker 2 (26:40):
I was like, oh you, so, how do have miss
this one?

Speaker 6 (26:42):
And I just I was the same, and I know
through working in this industry. And also I'll be just
reading a lot of Reddit. All of those people are
like professional assholes and.

Speaker 4 (26:52):
Here we go.

Speaker 2 (26:53):
Let's go through them. Let's go through them.

Speaker 1 (26:54):
Because the challenge for you right now is because I
was putting myself in the party and I was like
I would just be looking at the room being like.

Speaker 2 (27:00):
I don't want to go over there. I don't want
to go over there.

Speaker 1 (27:04):
But right now, I'm going to force you to engage
in small talk with all of the big celebrities that
were there.

Speaker 2 (27:09):
And I just want you to tell me what.

Speaker 1 (27:11):
Would what's the first thing you'd say to this particular person.
So let's kick things off with Oprah Winfrey.

Speaker 2 (27:19):
So can I have a car?

Speaker 5 (27:21):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (27:21):
That's actually funny, and I reckon she'd I think she'd laugh, sure,
and then.

Speaker 2 (27:25):
To be honest, probably give you a car.

Speaker 1 (27:28):
I could just see her giving she'd give a valet
ticket to and just be like, that's the funniest thing
I've ever heard that a lot. I think you've started well.
I think you've started well. Okay, so you have a
good laugh from Oprah. You're feeling good. You have a
look to your right. You see Mariah Carey. Yeah, your
saddle up. What do you say to Mariah big James
Packer fan, that's gonna split the room? That's controversial. There's

(27:52):
a chance she finds it funny. So you could really
be on a heat to hear next person to me.
I mean, I think Mariah ignores that. I think she
shuns you. Oh she shows you her back.

Speaker 2 (28:01):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, she's notoriously really tough to deal with.

Speaker 1 (28:05):
And you're so you're there drinking hand you probably double
parked at this point. You look over it to you, right,
I know how I can talk to Vin Diesel. Oh yeah,
before you get it bizarre.

Speaker 2 (28:14):
That Vin Diesel's there.

Speaker 1 (28:15):
Yeah, all the people that they're like, why is the
star of Fast and Furious there?

Speaker 2 (28:20):
Anyway? So you see Vin, if.

Speaker 6 (28:21):
Only the Hollywood fires were happening, then oh carry on,
carry on.

Speaker 1 (28:28):
But I thought that's what you wanted to say, that
Vin Diesel. That is aggressive.

Speaker 6 (28:32):
Nah, I'd probably say something like Dwayne the Rock Johnson
is more muscular than you.

Speaker 2 (28:37):
Yeah, good, just hit him at the ego. Well, I
don't really know, like what hit him at the like
triple X. Oh yeah, bring up one movie like triple X.
You'd like triple X, liked it, liked it a lot.
Quadriple X. I believe it because I think I like
Fast and Furious.

Speaker 5 (28:58):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (28:58):
Yeah, I don't think you get his name his movies, mate,
say that you quite liked them

Ruthie's Table 4

Ruthie's Table 4

For more than 30 years The River Cafe in London, has been the home-from-home of artists, architects, designers, actors, collectors, writers, activists, and politicians. Michael Caine, Glenn Close, JJ Abrams, Steve McQueen, Victoria and David Beckham, and Lily Allen, are just some of the people who love to call The River Cafe home. On River Cafe Table 4, Rogers sits down with her customers—who have become friends—to talk about food memories. Table 4 explores how food impacts every aspect of our lives. “Foods is politics, food is cultural, food is how you express love, food is about your heritage, it defines who you and who you want to be,” says Rogers. Each week, Rogers invites her guest to reminisce about family suppers and first dates, what they cook, how they eat when performing, the restaurants they choose, and what food they seek when they need comfort. And to punctuate each episode of Table 4, guests such as Ralph Fiennes, Emily Blunt, and Alfonso Cuarón, read their favourite recipe from one of the best-selling River Cafe cookbooks. Table 4 itself, is situated near The River Cafe’s open kitchen, close to the bright pink wood-fired oven and next to the glossy yellow pass, where Ruthie oversees the restaurant. You are invited to take a seat at this intimate table and join the conversation.
