Speaker 2 (00:28):
We are live as always, sart tiraq dot Com studios
just wantch to you sort through the stack of papers.
Davin tears upwhere it's not I'll have to get it after.

It's not here.
Speaker 2 (00:47):
T Iraq, we love you right now A big night
of no NBA, No No NBA, And I can guarantee
you that Aaron Boone will not.
Speaker 3 (00:59):
Get thrown out of tonight's game.
Speaker 2 (01:01):
The Yankees are in because he's been suspended for a
game because of too many arguments with commen tires and
getting thrown out three times in the last ten games.
The umpires are calling him Karen guarantee. Well, here's the thing.
You saw that story that's actually anna satire thing. So
I don't know that umpires are actually calling him Karen. Well,
just in general, it was very satirical. Karen Boon Karen
(01:21):
Boone is very interesting, but it's not far off.
Speaker 3 (01:24):
No it's not. No, no, I'm not saying it's not accurate.
Speaker 4 (01:26):
But you just get the reputations like, all right, he's
coming out, he's coming out. You don't get the benefit
of the doubt. You're not gonna get your more money's
worth it at this point.
Speaker 2 (01:35):
No, no, no, it's just gonna be five seconds three two.
Speaker 3 (01:40):
Yeah, you didn't like that call, move on.
Speaker 2 (01:45):
But we had big NFL news today on a live
drop Friday. Oh yeah, that well, I gotta say this.
It seems like it's bigger news.
Speaker 3 (02:00):
It is.
Speaker 2 (02:00):
The reaction, this is a hot take. The reaction to
this story is a lot bigger than what the actual
impact is going to be on the football field, because
you probably woke up today and saw the news.
Speaker 3 (02:13):
DeAndre Hopkins.
Speaker 2 (02:14):
Now anybody can go get a guy who was once
the best receiver, worst the second or third best receiver
in major in National Football League is been released by
the Cardinals. They tried to trade him over the course
of the past months, but coming with his salary of
twenty million dollars a year, very difficult. They're eating twenty
two million dollars of dead cap money, saving eight million
(02:36):
dollars in releasing DeAndre Hopkins. And right away, every team
wanted DeAndre Hopkins, right everybody? The Bills should get him.
That every I think every Chiefs fan went to social
media to take him. Oh we get DeAndre Hopkins. Look out,
super Bowl, everybody wants it. We're lining up for DeAndre Hopkins.
And I'm like, okay, we'll understand this is not twenty
(03:01):
twenty or twenty twenty one, all right, because let let's
let's just be realistic here for Deon. And I'm not
saying this because the Jets aren't gonna go get him.
I would say this about DeAndre Hopkins regardless. Are we
sure he is where the hot take comes in? Are
we sure DeAndre Hopkins is still a star? Are we
sure he's still great? Because my interest, honestly in him
is kind of men. All Right, He's had two straight
(03:22):
years of disappointing results. Now, he was suspended for six
games a year ago, and he was injured the year
before that. So the last time he really had a
big impact, you're going back three years. He is someone
who is again three years removed from having a big impact.
He is now thirty. Um, yeah, call me crazy, but
(03:42):
guys don't usually hit free agency in the NFL and
have a big bidding war on them that are still starting.
Speaker 3 (03:50):
It just doesn't happen. It just doesn't happen.
Speaker 2 (03:52):
And Hopkins is someone who the Cardinals know him best,
and yes they could have if he was that good
at a team really wanted him, they could have said,
we'll find a way to get you. Here's a seventh
round pick, right, because the carl was probably asking for
nothing at the end. They're asking prices a little bit
more early as we heard, but likely after a while
it was dude, we're not giving you that much for him.
So that tells you about DeAndre hopkins value. And then
(04:13):
we get to the point of, well what about a
lower round pick. No, he still he's worth a little
bit too much money. If you wanted me, you could
have had him, right. If you want him, you could
have had it. If he was that big of a star,
somebody would have found a way to make a move
for If he was that one, if somebody wanted him
that bad, somebody would have made a move for him.
Because it wasn't like you'd have to give up a lot.
It wasn't like you'd have to say, well, here's two
(04:33):
first round picks, or here's a first and the second.
You could have given up absolutely nothing. It was just
take the salary off our books. Are we sure he's
still a star? I mean, I get that. The image
of DeAndre Hopkins. Oh yeah, put DeAndre Hopkins on this said,
it's the same thing with Odell Beckham. Oh no, dude,
Odell Beckham is four years removed from being really good.
DeAndre Hopkins is three years removed from being really good.
(04:54):
Is suddenly he going to be a star again. I'm
not saying he's not still good, but people have this
vision Hopkins as he's gonna be the same guy he
was four years ago when Bill O'Brien traded him away
to the Arizona Cardinals. And and you know, I don't know, man,
and he's gonna want a lot of money, and teams
are gonna a couple teams are gonna line up and say, hey,
let's go get DeAndre Hopkins. You know, the guy's thirty
(05:16):
and there's too many question marks and I don't the
team that knows him the best decided to let.
Speaker 3 (05:21):
Him go and eat money.
Speaker 2 (05:22):
Now maybe the Cardinals are tanking, which again to that
part of the conversation. But I'm just not convinced that
Hopkins is still a star and that he's worth Hey,
let's upset everything to go get him, because you could
have got him for nothing. Now we're gonna Oh but
now we get him for free. Enough have to worry
about Ay, come, what we worry about compensation?
Speaker 5 (05:38):
For?
Speaker 2 (05:38):
You could have got him if you really wanted him.
Now you got to worry about thirty other teams, thirty
on other teams if you really want him. So don't
give me that whole Oh, now we get him for free. No,
Now you got to bid with a bunch of other teams.
If you really wanted them, somebody would have taken him here.
Speaker 4 (05:49):
And it's not a negotiation of how much cap will
the Cardinals eat and how many draft picks on the
third day? Are you gonna spin off? Like the old
toilet paper joke that people made for internet stocks back
in the day. That's kind of where we were at
in the DeAndre Hopkins bidding war. Now, did he do
himself any favors with some of the commentary? No, Kyler
(06:14):
Murray gets to Twitter quote, be great, bro, thankful, Buddha Baker,
others coming forward JJ Watt and sending their you know,
appreciation and respect and support and all. But to your point,
it's two years now suspension. Okay, fine, But the injury
issue is real. The age is real. We know with
(06:36):
most receivers and obviously there are outliers and before we
get the litany of them sent to us via Twitter, Yeah,
we recognize that. It's kind of like telling me how
great a guy's gonna be at the age of forty
in the NFL because three or four guys have done
it right A No, he's gonna be able to play forever.
That's not the way it works with DeAndre Hopkins and look,
(06:58):
a lot of dysfunction.
Speaker 3 (06:59):
We've talked about it a lot drafts over.
Speaker 4 (07:01):
I can go back to the way that roster was
constructed and some of the problems that we saw, the
worts that they had in Arizona, Kyler Murray, was he
working hard enough his own injury issues? The offensive line
I complained about all thirty two of them.
Speaker 3 (07:18):
Theirs was terrible.
Speaker 4 (07:19):
The run game that never found its stride. I mean,
James Connor was fine, like he's a great red zone
guy and certainly a goal line back, but the play
by play he's a lesser version of all the great
backs of our time that were the zero zero one,
zero thirty seven touchdown kind of guys. But he had
(07:42):
a lot of stops, right, He was a guy that
from a yards per carry, not the most robust. But
when we look at the way this roster is constructed
now with the pre June first, like, all right, we're
cutting bait. It's time to start moving into this next phase.
You have no idea how quickly Murray's getting back on
(08:03):
the field either. So when you start taking off all
of your discernible star power, then yes, you do start
getting into the question of tanking and trying to pile
up assets.
Speaker 3 (08:16):
And that's where, to.
Speaker 4 (08:17):
A degree, you wonder about the transition front office philosophy
bid Well, et cetera. When it comes to, you know,
eating money and partial contract to get a couple of
draft picks back. Would that have been a better move
or what's the bigger play here? Or was there just
not a market to the point where that was even
(08:39):
a question. Right, we'll give you those, but you have
to eat all the salary because I could see that
potentially being the case based on these last two years,
and everybody immediately wants to go to the contenders. You
know why the Contenders because they don't go and just
dive in for everything. Now, Bills have an interesting situation
when it comes to Von Diggs not going up to OTA's.
(09:01):
There's been a lot of rumors about him. Now you
got your quarterback, Josh Allen reportedly dating Hailey Steinfeld.
Speaker 3 (09:08):
That's a whole other.
Speaker 4 (09:08):
Thing and a whole other world that they now have
to incorporate when when Hollywood gets involved and celebrity. But uh,
it's it's a curiosity with a guy. It's like, oh
yeah top ten, Well yeah on the best days, Yeah,
what is he today?
Speaker 2 (09:23):
You can't just what it's like because people watch video
of him from early Oh if they're getting this guy,
look out. No, you can't just show me video from
five years ago when a guy was in his prom.
Speaker 3 (09:34):
If they're getting this guy, maybe he shows.
Speaker 4 (09:36):
Up, but is he consistently that guy like Odell beck
Beckham Junior coming back. I have no idea, no idea
what we might We might get a couple of those
Spider Man great catches along the sideline.
Speaker 3 (09:47):
We might get a guy that can't see the field.
Speaker 2 (09:48):
That's like, that's like if friends ask me, hey, can
you come fill in on our softball team today? Because
they you know, they probably know that I play. It
was really good. Well say you said the kid was
I was great softball player, so up all on hockey
were my two things. And so I would say yeah, sure,
and then they'll go they would say, hey, you know, uh,
have you played lately? And I show him a video
from like, you know, fifteen years ago.
Speaker 3 (10:08):
Yeah, here's me.
Speaker 2 (10:09):
Whoa if we're getting this guy tonight, oh look at
I'm like, yeah, but you're not getting this guy.
Speaker 3 (10:13):
Okay, you're not.
Speaker 2 (10:14):
You're getting a guy that's gonna run down the first
base and say, pinch runner.
Speaker 3 (10:17):
Okay, that's what's gonna I've got a bad first step.
Speaker 2 (10:20):
Yeah I'm not. I'm not not that guy. Not that
I'll still rake, I'll still rake, but running the year.
You're not gonna get that guy. I mean really, we
fall in love with that with all the remember this,
Remember when he caught the hail Mary from Kyler Murray,
Oh my goodness, he caught that hail Mary.
Speaker 3 (10:32):
He's so good and all right, that's the it's it's
just tap.
Speaker 2 (10:35):
The brakes a bit because it's been a couple of
years and the time it's it's been in Arizona, it
hasn't really worked all right, for the time he's been
on the field, it's been a what when you're not
when you're not a great player for a company, is
whether you because you're suspended, because you're injured, or a
combination of both.
Speaker 3 (10:51):
Yeah, it's fair to go.
Speaker 2 (10:53):
I don't know about that, I really I it's it's
you know, it's a big headline. But but clearly if
any you know, just the fact that his name is
out there, Okay, it's a big It's like when Cam
Newton became a velopent.
Speaker 3 (11:06):
Oh Cam Newton, Cam Newton's done. He's thirty years old.
Speaker 2 (11:08):
He's gonna stay. Oh the Patriots got Cam Newton. He's
gonna stink because he's done.
Speaker 6 (11:12):
Oh.
Speaker 2 (11:12):
Look, but it was if the if the Patriots are
getting this Cam Newton. Here's a highlight from twenty fourteen.
Speaker 3 (11:17):
But it was not getting that Cam Newtons.
Speaker 4 (11:19):
The twenty fifteen MVP. Okay, great, I mean we did
this for a couple of years with the will Day
or won't they And the signing of Colin Kaepernick, right
guy hadn't played quarterback, and that doesn't mean that it
might not work in the right situation, the right coaching,
the right scheme, all of those things. Likewise, with DeAndre Hopkins,
maybe he gets right back out there, and he had
(11:40):
eight touchdowns in the shortened season two years ago.
Speaker 3 (11:43):
Maybe maybe there maybe there's something there. Sure, maybe there's
something there.
Speaker 4 (11:47):
And he's a guy that you can work and develop
in and he can dominate the red zone. But to
just bank on him becoming a one hundred catch twelve
hundred yard receiver again, No.
Speaker 3 (11:57):
I think you're kidding. You're too hard. It's too hard.
Speaker 2 (11:59):
He could That's why my interest is met and not no,
because if it was, I would say I don't want him.
But man, it's just okay, I'm not gonna go crazy.
Go well, boy, we got to outbid somebody for me.
You gotta go three years and thirty eight million, twenty
nine million guaranteed. We're talking about not doing it right.
If you want to sign a one year deal for
a few million dollars, okay, then I could be interested
(12:19):
in you because I don't have to worry about you
beat the number one guy. And all the teams we
saw interested off the bat all have number one guys, right,
the Bills want him, Okay, Well, they have Stefan Diggs
and they have a couple other players there, maybe Dalton
and Kid becomes that number two option. They're hoping Gabe
Davis is gonna be Uh. Then you have the Ravens, Well,
they have a gaggle of wide receivers already. They just
took Zay Flowers in the first round, right, yeah, no,
(12:42):
they have a lot of guys, and so all these
teams are where, Well, he doesn't need to be the
number one, so okay, yeah, I would. I would see
if he can win a lot of one on one bats. Also,
but it's not gonna be a guy not the number one. Yeah,
that's the that's the other part of this equation.
Speaker 3 (12:57):
Right. This isn't going back to college days.
Speaker 4 (12:59):
This is this is a guy that's been the number one,
has been the undisputed number one in these scenarios. Is
he gonna be okay being a number two. We've seen
a lot of receivers through the years have problems drifting
in into the Hey, you might only see six balls today.
You might only see four balls today, depending how the
offense goes is? Is that what you want to open
(13:20):
up your offense too, particularly if you've already got say
the Lebar Jackson situation, where he's already got like four
or five guys there and there's still questions about him
distributing the football. Hey, let's bring in another guy alongside
Odell that are gonna fight. You're literally gonna fight for
the ball ten yards downfield?
Speaker 2 (13:39):
Twitter, or how about a Fresca Mike and swelling dumb.
Sometimes the headline is bigger than the actual impact. But
boy running rampant today. You would think suddenly Mahomes became
a free agent.
Speaker 3 (13:48):
Oh we gotta go get ball. We go get my homes.
Your free agents, well, let them go. We like big names. Man,

wedding singer?
Speaker 2 (15:55):
Wow, guys, that's why you played the song.
Speaker 3 (16:00):
You guys are way too slow.
Speaker 2 (16:01):
You let the guy that picked the song. That's well,
I didn't know. That's why he know. Man, Chris is
a lot younger than I didn't think. You kN know
what wedding singer was? Out of VHS. He's worked out
a lot of these overnights. What do you fix on
the television? You say, your grandma? How VHS of it?
Speaker 3 (16:17):
Yes?
Speaker 7 (16:18):
Yeah, we had some weird We had a weird collection
of VHS tapes.
Speaker 2 (16:21):
Okay, The Jason Smith Show with my best friend Mike Carme.
Then why did you jump into Jay if you knew
the why didn't you let me just.
Speaker 3 (16:29):
Ask everybody else? You're asking the entire crew. I did,
but he wanted answer going in. He just wanted to
be included, That's all it was.
Speaker 2 (16:39):
He knew the answer before, but he wanted to be
loved because you said Steve, I said, Patrick Gig, you
got me, and well, I don't know, so he said,
I mean, I asked Franceton.
Speaker 3 (16:53):
I I asked everybody.
Speaker 2 (16:55):
I said, you and Steve, and then Prefet jumps in, going,
I know Chris Prefett right here, I go, yeah, wow,
wedding singer.
Speaker 7 (17:01):
If I hadn't said that, that was the reason I
played it, you would never have known.
Speaker 2 (17:04):
Well, because you would have jumped in my ear and said, hey,
I have I would like to guess. And if you
wanted to guess, if you didn't want to guess, you
wouldn't have said anything.
Speaker 3 (17:12):
I wanted to guess. Okay, you wanted, but you just
jumped the answers. Wedding singer.
Speaker 2 (17:16):
Oh okay, great, thanks. I appreciate that he was right.
You know, people at home trying to play along. Try Nope,
not not gonna get it.
Speaker 3 (17:24):
In a chair. Oh, the ANSWER's wedding singer. Okay, that's fine.
Speaker 7 (17:27):
Why do you wait when you know the answer on Jeopardy?
Do you wait until other people get it? Or do
you just start screaming at the tv the answers.
Speaker 3 (17:34):
The radio bit.
Speaker 4 (17:36):
It's the what the hell crazy movie? Is Mike gonna say?
Or is Steve gonna say? Or is Patrick good?
Speaker 2 (17:43):
He might have known the right answer. He might he
would not have known. He would he might have, but
you know, he might have gone to Uh, he would have.
Steve would have said, angels in the outfield.
Speaker 3 (17:53):
That would be was gonna do the flapping of the.
Speaker 4 (17:57):
Wings and told me he's bringing back out of the
bird Morris Day in the.
Speaker 3 (18:03):
Time I did three week anniversary. But you want to
see Morris Day that was?
Speaker 4 (18:07):
You're gonna commemorate that forever? Was there a special drink
or meal that you ate?
Speaker 3 (18:12):
Uh? You bring back, bring back? No, you have a
great suit that you bought for that show. No. No,
I didn't even sell T shirts.
Speaker 2 (18:20):
They sell T shirts. No, you wun sell T shirts outs.
I don't want to buy it more.
Speaker 3 (18:24):
They have built people. I bought a time make sure
money on their merch Then they do the show.
Speaker 2 (18:31):
They didn't didn't sell any I don't know why I
would have bought. Well, it was also the same night
that the Lakers eliminated the Warriors, so everybody was outside
selling sausage and pepper sandwiches and those bootlegs for ten
Why selling sausage and peppers you can sell I've had
many many Uh.
Speaker 3 (18:49):
Legally, can you do that? You are selling a food item? Sure?
Why can't?
Speaker 4 (18:53):
So many businesses got closed down because of inspections and
not being able.
Speaker 3 (18:57):
To do it.
Speaker 2 (18:57):
But you can just on the street because you can
move write sausage and pepper and a carts, movies go
really fast, Go go the copture people running down the street,
you're selling the sausage and peppers as you're running.
Speaker 3 (19:07):
Do you bet on the races of the cart pushers
as you go through? Yeah?
Speaker 2 (19:11):
You know what, maybe that's an idea food cart races,
food truck race.
Speaker 3 (19:15):
It's just a I'm just asking a question.
Speaker 4 (19:18):
I know that I've been into the restaurant business and
knowing how regulated is that.
Speaker 3 (19:24):
I drive home at.
Speaker 4 (19:25):
Night there's random trucks that have pulled up and are
selling food out the back of them. I question how
legal this is? That's all I'm saying.
Speaker 2 (19:33):
Well, it used to be see when you and I
were growing up, it used to be, Hey, you want
to buy a set of brand news speakers. I can't
bring them back. They're here, they work great. If you
want them, you can buy them. I lost one hundred bucks.
They're like five hundred dollars speakers. Oh yeah, sure, I
want to do that. Now it's about buying food again.
(19:53):
One can get me sick.
Speaker 4 (19:55):
The other just might be a little hot to the touch.
Speaker 2 (19:59):
If somebody do thisker thing to me, like five years ago. Yeah,
in a park in like in Target parking lot or something. Hey,
I got brand new speakers in the back. I can't
bring back to the story. You want to buy him
off me. I'm like, no, I'm not good man. I'm like,
who buy speakers? I have speakers, and I have questions. Yeah,
I got a great bowse that goes in my entire house.
That's tiny that I can fit in my pocket.
Speaker 3 (20:19):
What am I gonna want to get these big speakers
from you?
Speaker 6 (20:21):
Now?
Speaker 3 (20:22):
Come on, man, check out the volume on my phone.
This is hey over there. What song am I playing
on my phone?
Speaker 2 (20:31):

I like Scottie Pippen because every few months he will
(20:53):
just say something incredibly random and crazy, and it's kind
of fun because it's not Bark. It's not someone you
you that you used to seeing saying stuff all the time.
It's not Draymond on his podcast. No, it's you get
Scottie Pippy, Like, oh yeah, the forgotten member.
Speaker 3 (21:09):
Of the top fifty all time NBA team. Yeh, Scotty Pipper.
Speaker 2 (21:12):
He loves beef and man Scotty a couple of months ago.
He loves Scotty down and he needs to go and
promote some more or what yeah, I mean it was
a few months ago when he when he lit everybody
on fire all these beefs he had in a podcast
when he was trying to sell his bourbon for the
first time.
Speaker 3 (21:30):
It's bourbon now.
Speaker 2 (21:32):
It was today Scottie Pippen decided to let everybody know
how bad a player Michael Jordan was. Yes, he went
on a podcast called give Me the Hot Sauce. Stacy
King not not Sauce Gardener. You would think give me
the Hot Sauce be Sauce guard but Stacey King, former
ball team had Yeah. Well, he's got to give it
to Sauce Gardener if he wants it, because Sauce Gardner.
Speaker 3 (21:53):
Is much more relevant than Stacey King.
Speaker 4 (21:54):
Stacey King has been a bulls announcer for He's an
NBA champion.
Speaker 2 (21:59):
Why is his podcast not give Me the King Sauce,
give Me the Hot King, I'm a King.
Speaker 3 (22:04):
His name is take one of his quotes when he's
announcing game, his name is King.
Speaker 2 (22:07):
He could say Stacy's dad is Stacy's the announcer has
got it going on? Could do all that.
Speaker 3 (22:15):
I don't know that. You know he wants to go
down the Stacey's mom thing.
Speaker 2 (22:18):
Stacy the mom is got it go Stacy's podcasts got
it going on?
Speaker 3 (22:24):
Why you probably get them to do that for free.
Speaker 2 (22:26):
Yeah, if Sauce Gardner needs that for his podcast, Sauce
Garter needs it for his podcast.
Speaker 3 (22:30):
He does.
Speaker 4 (22:32):
He's got winning to do before he needs to worry
about a podcast.
Speaker 2 (22:35):
So Scottie Pippen goes on the Gimme the Hot Sauce
podcast and he says, Hey, you know, Hot Sauce, I
got a hot take for you where he just absolutely
blowtorches Michael Jordan, And oh sorry, I gotta explain to
millennials with Michael Jordan. Is Michael Jordan arguably the greatest
basketball player of all time? Certainly one of the top
two players we've seen in the last fifty years.
Speaker 3 (22:53):
Arguably my ass.
Speaker 2 (22:56):
Here's Scottie Pippen saying, Michael Jordan, Yeah, never heard of them.
Speaker 6 (23:00):
Lebron will be the greatest statistical guy to ever play
the game or basketball, and there's no comparison to him none.
So does that make him the greatest player to ever
play the game? I leave it out for debatings because
I don't believe that there's a great player because our
game is a team game and one player can't do it.
Like I've seen Michael Jordan play before I came to
(23:21):
play with the Bulls. You guys seen him play. He's
a horrible player. He was horrible to play with. He
was all one on one, he's shooting bad shots, and
all of a sudden we become a team and we
start winning. Everybody forgot who he was.
Speaker 3 (23:36):
He was.
Speaker 2 (23:37):
Everybody forgot who he was. So when they started with
there's so many things with that.
Speaker 3 (23:42):
Okay, he.
Speaker 4 (23:45):
Is the resonance in his voice. Do you think at
any point when he's on a podcast they want to
ask him to sing a few bars of a Berry
White song or something?
Speaker 2 (23:54):
Dude, can you do the low part of boys to
men like? Because I really like that, baby, I knew
you with those other guys. I just didn't care about it. Oh,
I'm sorry, too close to home to close? Okay, Sorry, sorry, Scotty. Sorry,
So wait, let's go back, because there's so many things
to do. Oh, we could do this for four hours.
Start playing it from the beginning again, Chris, and then
if I tell you to stop, stop because we have
there's really so much of this to know.
Speaker 3 (24:13):
Go ahead.
Speaker 6 (24:13):
Lebron will be the greatest statistical guy to ever played
the game or basketball.
Speaker 2 (24:17):
Okay, so Lebron's the greatest, All right, very we got
that right. Lebron's the greatest. Lebron's the greatest. Lebron's great
keep it going, keep it going.
Speaker 6 (24:24):
There's no comparison to him, none. Does that make him
the greatest player they ever played the game? I'll leave
it out for debatings because I don't believe that they're
a great player, because our game is a team game.
Speaker 3 (24:36):
Okay, it's not right there.
Speaker 2 (24:37):
Wait, wait, so Lebron is the best player, but there
is no best player because it's a team game. But
Lebron's the best and there's no comparison. How is there
no comparison If there's no best player, I could compare
anybody then, right, I could say Jalen Brunston was just
as good as you, Scottie Pippin. I'll leave that up
to I can say Steve Novak is just as good
as you.
Speaker 3 (24:55):
Scotty Piping. That's a bridge too far.
Speaker 2 (24:57):
But Lebron was the best and now, but there's no
best player because it's a team bistically, no comparison, no comparison.
But Lebron was the best and not even close. But
there is no best player.
Speaker 3 (25:08):
Right, I got that.
Speaker 2 (25:09):
That's just amazing in the same breath. Yeah, right, it's
not an answer.
Speaker 4 (25:13):
Later, it's not a let me clarify, it's a statistically
he's the best, there's no comparison.
Speaker 3 (25:20):
But ours is a team.
Speaker 4 (25:21):
Yes, yes, so he's the best, but debate and then
to get into the team thing. This guy is so
good statistically, but it's a team game. But he's still
the best. Okay, So there's that conundrum there from Scotty Pippen.
Right now, keep it going. Let's hear the.
Speaker 6 (25:38):
Rest player can't do it like I've seen Matael Jordan
play before I came to play with the Bulls. You
guys seen him play. He's a horrible player.
Speaker 2 (25:46):
Okay, right there, Michael Jordan was a horrible player before
Scottie Pippen got to the Bulls. He was not not
didn't disappoint, didn't need to hit his his uh prime
or anything. No, no, no, he was a whole horrible player.
Michael Jordan was a horrible player before Scottie Pippen got
to the ball awful. Now, if you want to say, hey,
(26:07):
he didn't win until I got there, well yeah, okay,
I get that right.
Speaker 4 (26:11):
There's a difference between style of play individual player, team concept.
And I don't think there's any argument that once Phil
Jackson takes over, you change the offense, you bring in
additional players Scottie Pippen and he become this dynamic duo
that it takes off. You could say that, but the
(26:32):
he was a horrible He was a horrible player.
Speaker 2 (26:34):
He was a horrible player, because that's all those kids
bought those sneakers because he was so bad. He was
such a bad player, averaging thirty five a game, which
we hadn't seen anybody do in the NBA in years.
He was a horrible player. He was like, every time
they passed the ball, it would go between his legs,
go out of bounds.
Speaker 3 (26:51):
Uh.
Speaker 2 (26:51):
Sorry, I'm dribbling down the court. It's falling out of
my hands. I'm sorry, I'm sorry. I mean he's a
horrible player.
Speaker 3 (26:56):
To put it in.
Speaker 4 (26:56):
As proper perspective, we'll use since it is Live Drop
Friday one that we use quite a bit like that's
just your opinion.
Speaker 3 (27:04):
Man, Man, he was a horrible player. So I put
this on Instagram, I put it on Twitter. I put
it out to you America.
Speaker 4 (27:11):
Find whoever in your life may be the Scottie Pippen
in your life story and give them a hug, because
somewhere out there they're talking mad, crazy, untrue nonsense.
Speaker 3 (27:25):
About you, So give him the hug that he needs.
Speaker 2 (27:27):
I mean, he went and made a bunch of money,
well because he signed he signed that deal with the
Bulls and everybody brings that up and then everybody else
grossly overpaid.
Speaker 3 (27:35):
Him he did.
Speaker 2 (27:36):
All right, I get it, But you also have to
remember his ex wife is now very famously linked with
Michael Jordan's son. Well, okay, but that's the thing made
that is the thing.
Speaker 3 (27:49):
With your ex wife though.
Speaker 2 (27:50):
No, but it doesn't matter your ex your ex wife
is with the guy was your teammate that apparently was
a horrible player that you didn't want to play with,
and now, yeah, your ex on this kid.
Speaker 3 (28:02):
It's a small world. He's a horrible player. That's what
you're going too when you're allows he blank and soft.
But when you think, what do you think about his family?
Is his family good?
Speaker 7 (28:13):
Like?
Speaker 3 (28:13):
Do you like his family that?
Speaker 2 (28:14):
I mean, really, come on, I mean serious, His kids
were really respectful growing up.
Speaker 3 (28:19):
And then somewhere, somehow it.
Speaker 2 (28:21):
Turned the subheadline of the story is Scottie Pippen rips
Jordan probably pissed Lars's dating his.
Speaker 3 (28:28):
Kid, Like that's really what it is. He's a horrible player.
Speaker 4 (28:31):
That is the subtext the entire thing. Now, Like I
heard this this afternoon, I sent it over to you.
I couldn't stop laughing because in the background, you're just thinking.
The whole time it is like he's got a picture
of them that's fueling every comment he's making.
Speaker 2 (28:47):
He's like, he's like rocking the Drago picture and he just,
you know, crumples it up in the middle of training.
Now there's one more great thing to get to here,
So Chris, let's hear the rest of the sound bite
from Scotty Pippin.
Speaker 6 (28:59):
Was all one, all one. He's shooting bad shots, and
all of a sudden we become a team and we
start winning. Everybody forgot who he was.
Speaker 2 (29:09):
Okay, okay, first of all, taking these horrible shots. He
averaged over fifty percent from the floor during his NBA career. Okay,
he was fifty percent or more from the floor, which
is pretty bleeping good. But my favorite part, it was
the end. Was then when we all got there, everybody
forgot who we want. Scotty shows up, DJ Armstrong shows up,
(29:34):
Everybody forgot who Jordan was. That's right, Yes, I remember
that time when Scottie Pippen got there. We never talked
about Michael Jordan. We never talked about him. He was done.
He was not part of any conversation at all. I
remember that. I remember when it came to the point, well,
we can't really talk about it. Get the players there
and they're winning. We can't talk about Michael.
Speaker 4 (29:52):
Oran, not a guy that anybody has made millions of
dollars debating his great people.
Speaker 2 (29:57):
Stopped talking of Nobody knew who was boy, this guy's
the best player in the league in years. Hey, Scotty's there.
Oh you know what, I think Cartwright's gonna stay at Coup.
What about Wednington?
Speaker 3 (30:09):
Yeah? Man, who is that guy that they had? I
forgot now, I forget the last jag boy they got.
Speaker 2 (30:15):
They got Horace Grant, and they got some other guys
and they were good. But they had a guy though, No, no, no,
don't know.
Speaker 3 (30:20):
He was good.
Speaker 2 (30:21):
I remember he took a lot of shots. But you know,
then they got all these other players, Pete Myers, they
got all these other guys, yeah, all these But they
had another guy though, and he was good.
Speaker 3 (30:33):
I remember him scoring a ton of points.
Speaker 2 (30:35):
I thought I thought he had this big highlight where
He's like dribbling the ball between his legs, like seventeen
times he gets a shot over Larry Bird.
Speaker 3 (30:41):
But I don't. I don't. I don't. I forget. I
forget who is in the spirit of life, I forget.
Speaker 2 (30:47):
I forget who he is. Scottie Pippen is two things. Okay,
I let me tell you. Scotty Pippen is two things.
Scottie Pippen is a really really chapped that his ex
wife is Jordan's kid.
Speaker 3 (31:01):
And it is big world. There's a lot of there is.
Speaker 2 (31:05):
And the second thing is is that he's upset that
he doesn't have a bigger voice in the NBA. You
could tell he thinks that everybody should be listening to him,
Like we listen to Barkley and Shaq and Kenny and
Draymond and all these other pictures and we're not salty
and bid, right, So what I'm purposefully sticking it to
you here, so like like so every once in a while
(31:27):
he wakes up and says, I want to see if
I get on this landscape, and I want to see
if I What am I gonna do is say, tell everybody,
Michael Jordan. The hottest take in the History of the World.
Michael Jordan was horrible and people forgot about him. Is
that gonna get me a job somewhere? Is that gonna
get me on the NBA, on TNT set or I
can give a comment and then show a picture of
my whiskey or my bourbon and go, hey, go buy
this war hot takes like this. That's what Scottie Pippen
(31:50):
is doing. That's exactly what he's doing. He's mad and
he really wants to be a voice. So I'm just
gonna say crazy ass things.
Speaker 4 (31:57):
He's wanting to be that fourth a tag team bound
between Skip Shit stephen A.
Speaker 2 (32:04):
He wants the fourth seed at the table. Look, get
how crazy I can done?
Speaker 3 (32:10):
Everybody for everybody forgot who he is. Everybody forgot who
he is. He's just a guy. Wait forgot? Hey this
air movie? Who's this guy that they're trying I don't.
Speaker 2 (32:18):
I don't know who it is. Who are they trying
to get? I don't I don't know what are they doing?
What are they trying? Is it Clyde Drexler, No, it's
not okay. Is it this Melvin Turpin guy they keep
talking about? Is it melt Turpin?
Speaker 3 (32:29):
Is it Meltas.
Speaker 2 (32:30):
I mean, this is just insane. Right now, we have
gold from Special Delivery Steve to Saga, who has what's
trending in the wide world of sports as the.
Speaker 3 (32:39):
Hello, gentlemen.
Speaker 8 (32:40):
The Oakland A's already have the most losses before June
first in the history of Major League Baseball. Currently they
have lost eight in a row. Ten and forty two
is the record, and the A's are already trailing at
home five nothing to the Houston Astros in the middle
of the fourth inning. Boston leads five nothing at Arizona.
In the top of the fourth, Mets have a four
(33:01):
to one lead at Colorado. In the bottom of the seventh.
The Washington Nationals led nine to two at Kansas City
after scoring eight times in the top of the sixth,
That nine two lead is now nine to eight over
the Royals. In the top of the eighth, Royals record
fifteen to thirty six this year, Giants are up fifteen
to one at Milwaukee. In the bottom of the eighth.
(33:22):
Philadelphia's Craig Kimberl with career save number four hundred as
the Phils won at Atlanta six to four. Cleveland and
Cincinnati with wins White Sox as well. Texas won again
twelve two at Baltimore, winning pitcher John Gray five and

beating the Dodgers nine to three. Overall, Tampa Bay is

NASCAR six hundred at Charlotte is this Sunday ice on

FS one is carrying Tonight's Trucks Race and has the
Saturday Infinity Race. FS one will have USFL games this
Saturday and Sunday. The Arizona Cardinals released wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins,
saving over seven million dollars in cap space at the

horse death toll continues to grow. A seven year old
(34:50):
gelding youthanized after breaking down in a race today. That
makes eleven horses that have died in a month at
the home of the Kentucky Derby. It was big news
in LA four years ago when Santa Anita similarly had
eleven horses die in one month. Churchill Down still has
this meat scheduled to go till almost July the fourth.
Speaker 3 (35:11):
Back to you, Thanks a bunch, Steve.
Speaker 2 (35:13):
I appreciated my friend, the Jason Smiths were with Mike
Harmon live from the tie iraq dot com studios. I mean, really,
that may be the hottest take in the history of
hot takes. I don't know that in my lifetime I'll
get a better hot take than that. Michael Jordan was horrible,
and when the Bulls won championships, everybody forgot who he was.
Speaker 4 (35:32):
You know what's funny is on a weekly basis. A
lot of stuff passes my stream where I could rank
it as one of the dumber things I've heard said
by someone in our industry. Scottie Pippen just blew them
all away under the idea of in his brain he
can't get Michael Jordan's son and the image of him
getting it on with his eggs out of his brain.
Speaker 2 (35:53):
Twitter it out about a fresca, Mike gets throlling up,
Mike going clear over the top of that coming up next.
Speaker 3 (35:59):
I just got down to brass tax man.
Speaker 2 (36:02):
Are we on the cusp of the next great sports movie?
Get me right here, Jason and Mike fuck.
Speaker 1 (36:08):
Be sure to catch live editions of The Jason Smith
Show with Mike Harmon weekdays at ten pm Eastern, seven
pm Pacific.
Speaker 2 (36:17):
But you say he's just a friend, But you say
what I need but to say he's just a friend. Oh,
GJ I have friends and that's a fact, Like Agnes
(36:39):
Agatha Jermaine friend Jack to your.
Speaker 4 (36:42):
Former friends and teammates give you a headache, like Michael
Jordan does. See what they did that.
Speaker 3 (36:49):
Michael derybody forgot it. We want just just sit this
one out, like the final two seconds of a play.
Speaker 2 (36:55):
Why do we do last Dance? Then Scottie, I don't know.
People want to know what I thought. Oh okay, god,
I got it. The Jason Smith Show with my best
friend Mike Harmon live from the tire rack dot Com studios,
so we'll have more on Scottie Pippen, the hottest take
in the history of You're never gonna get a hotter
take than Scotty Pippen's day. I'm serious that that contest
is over. You're never gonna get a hotter take than
(37:15):
Michael Jordan was a horrible player, and once they started
winning titles, everybody forgot who he was. That's as hot
as you're gonna get.
Speaker 3 (37:21):
No, it's it.
Speaker 2 (37:22):
But uh, big sports movie news today as uh, maybe
you saw that you sent me this story earlier today.
Will Ferrell is in talks to play John Madden in
a movie about no, not John Madden's coaching career, but
the rise of Madden the video game. So he would
(37:43):
play John matt Really, not Frank Callendo playing John Madden. Really,
you can't do you can't just do that. You can't
you can't just I mean, if you want to go,
can I sell a movie with Frank, But how much
is he gonna be in it? How much is he
gonna be in it? I mean really, I mean it's
got to be about the It's not gonna be about
the starts to about the guys behind the scenes, because
that's the thing everybody wants to do, the next Social Network.
Speaker 4 (38:02):
It's what Air tried to be. Hey, we're gonna be
the Social Networks. Good of Boston. Movie is ted, but
that's fine.
Speaker 2 (38:07):
Can we show the rise of some business and have
snappy dialogue just like Social Network? Which honestly Social Network.
I've told you it's gonna be the new Shawshank as
time goes on. It's over ten years old now it's one.
It's gonna be in heavy rotation and the movie that
everybody quotes all the time.
Speaker 4 (38:24):
You know, I asked that one about that my soon
to be fifteen year old here. It's like, yeah, I
watched it once and she loves all the principal actors
and everybody involved. Because I had no desire to watch
it again, said because the Winkle Twins.
Speaker 3 (38:38):
The Winkle No, it was just she was out on it,
just like just like her dad.
Speaker 2 (38:43):
She has really good taste in filmy that's one of
the best movies, the last one in your opinion. You're
the guy that said Ted was the best movie rewatched.
Speaker 3 (38:53):
You had something that your friends.
Speaker 2 (38:57):
The people the ridiculousness for you said last night we
did our list of best movies to ever take place
in Boston. I told you rightfully, so that Social Network
is the best movie ever take place in Boston.
Speaker 3 (39:08):
You said Ted, which Ted is not even Way Park
it took come on, doesn't matter. The town had Fenway
Park in it. It was in the top five ever.
Pitch had Fenway Park in it.
Speaker 2 (39:19):
Lot, don't Wahllburg is still greater than Fallon, no matter
how much you hate Wohlburg, Dude, I mean, okay, okay,
there's a lot to unpacked there, but let's go back
to the point. Look, everybody wants to try to make
the bet nex So that's what Air tried to be.
We're trying to be Social Network. We're trying to do it,
and that's what this is gonna be. Let's show the
(39:40):
rise of something with big actors and maybe somebody can
win Oscars like That's It's what we wanted to be.
Speaker 3 (39:45):
Something fun.
Speaker 2 (39:47):
It's about my background a little bit, but I mightn't
want to do it.
Speaker 4 (39:50):
But I don't know that every anybody's really hated Mad
in the same way they've come to hate Facebook in
a lot of ways. And Zuckerberg, so we don't have
a true villain in this.
Speaker 2 (40:00):
He really thinks, how many people you think they're gonna
watch at what? At one point taking the cartridge of
Madden Mountain sland it up against their wall.
Speaker 4 (40:06):
No, no, no, there's one thing about hating the person you're
playing and sucking at the game.
Speaker 3 (40:13):
Story about that. No, I got a story about that
for you.
Speaker 4 (40:15):
Players hating their ratings. I mean, if you add that
as subplots with Scottie Pippen like saltiness from ex NFL players, I'm.
Speaker 3 (40:23):
There with you.
Speaker 2 (40:24):
My speed was a seventy four. We'll have more on
this story coming up next. Plus, I know one manager
we're not going to see tonight who's not going to
get ejected. That's coming on next right here, Chason and Mike.
This is fuck
Speaker 3 (40:39):
Ted
