and I love putting this content out for you every
single night. So the Cowboys beat the Raiders tonight thirty three, sixteen,

(01:14):
and we know there's gonna be some drama waiting to
hear from Brian Schottenheimer, Cowboys head coach, because this look,
this game wasn't very close from the beginning, a beginning
of the game in which Cede Lamb and George Pickens
did not see because they were not on the field
in pretty dominant fashion. Again, I'm surprised that the uh

(01:36):
surprise that they didn't score more points against the Raiders,
but it's what we have. Dak Dak threw four touchdowns
and Cowboys did whatever they want. I'm like, how is
this like a two score game midway through the fourth quarter? Well,
and then you add the safety, so it makes it
technically a three score game. But I get your point.
The early benching that we've talked about Pickens and CD

(01:56):
Lamb not starting the game, but they pretty much had
their way with Raiders deepen except for the one Max
Crosby play early right, he was the one guy that
you actually have to pay attention to on that side
of the ball. He gets to make a play. All right,
there's this spotlight moment, all right? Is that good? Everybody
feeling good? Warm and fuzzy? Max made a play, all right?

(02:16):
Seeing hell now, we're gonna run up a bunch of
points on you. So, speaking of running up points, Cowboys
able to do it despite the fact that their two
best wide receivers were in a little bit of hot
water as they were benched for the first three plays
of tonight's game. Brian Schottenheimer, Dallas Cowboys head coach, uh

(02:36):
wondering what happened because they weren't out there the first
three plays. What happened? They have to tie their shoes
and they forget their helmet.

Speaker 3 (02:43):
What happened?

Speaker 1 (02:44):
And Lisa Salters, sideline reporter Monday Night Football, said that, hey,
it was a coaches decision, right, It wasn't It wasn't
an injury, it wasn't anything. It was a coaches decision
for the reason why they were benched. Now, when Schottenheimer
was asked about it following the game, he said, my decision,

(03:08):
and the reason is because, well, there are some things,
unlike John Cena, that you just can't miss.

Speaker 4 (03:15):
It's tough, you know, made a coach's decision. There were
some things that were missed, and so I had a
conversation with those guys and that was easy. But I mean,
you look at the energy those guys play with you know,
Clarence are like, you know, they literally they jump started
the offense when they got back in there. They didn't
hang their heads, they didn't do any of that stuff.

(03:36):
And that's why I love those guys.

Speaker 1 (03:37):
Man, things that were missed. One of the things that
was missed, and his name is John Cena. Do you
think do you think Clarence Hill just said, Hey, Brian,
what the hell.

Speaker 3 (03:53):
I mean?

Speaker 1 (03:53):
You know, it's a really like, to be honest, it's
a really weak punishment not gonna play the first three plays?
Like really like if something's bad, you sit a guy
for an entire quarter, right like if it's really bad
and you're and you're disciplining them. Now the flip side
of it is, well, you're costing your team a chance

(04:14):
to win a game because of this. But like three plays,
I'm like, you're not gonna play the first three plays? Well,
that's the thing, Like, that's it's really kind of obviously
something happened and and things are fine because you saw
a Shotenheimer go over to them after the first touchdown.
They hugged everything. But I'm like, three plays, like it
was so bad that you have to sit, but just
for three plays, Like, I don't understand. No, but that's

(04:35):
the thing, right, is there something in their contracts that
this ends up costing them money because of games started
like our snap count? Ooh they lost those three will
watch that at the end of the year. Yeah, he
was away from one hundred thousand dollars bonus because he
missed those three snaps. No, I it just makes no sense.
Like if it's bad enough that they're suspended for a series, yeah,

(04:58):
then or the first two series reads of the game
or something like that had three plays. But it's just
it's just dumb. Even Aaron Rodgers made it four plays
before he wound up getting knocked out for the year
for the Jets. Come on, but I the snat, Yes,
the snap counts as a play, count as a play. Yeah,
I mean, look at a catastrophic events I mean transpired

(05:20):
during a snap in the Marvel Cinematic universe, just like
that Aaron Rodgers, like he that was hope and crushed
young Jason Smith's dreams, his hopes and dreams.

Speaker 3 (05:31):
It's part of I mean long list.

Speaker 1 (05:34):
In three years now, in three years, the greatest Jets
highlight is is Rogers running onto the field's flag. Now,
not just the one year, three years that's the that's
when that was when hope was at its absolute high.
The ze if absolutely are as America united behind that
crazy man and his flag and instead.

Speaker 3 (05:55):
Here we are.

Speaker 1 (05:55):
It was it was absolutely terrible. It was, I mean
there was for three year. Is now the biggest highlight
is the quarterback running on the field of the flag.
That's how low it's been. It's how low. It's been
very difficult times for you. And now you've got Tarrod Taylor,
not Tyrod, Tarrod Taylor ready to lead georg Jets down
the stretcher.

Speaker 3 (06:13):
Ah.

Speaker 1 (06:13):
I'm telling you, man, I I get that. You want
to show that I'm the head coach. Sure right, I
understand that, And I understand that it's very difficult because
you have big personalities and Ceedee Lamb is getting paid
a lot of Money's a big personality. George Pick get
paid right, and you are basically hand picked to be
the coach of the Cowboys when nobody would pick you

(06:36):
to be Nobode would ever say, oh, I want Brian Schottenneimber.
So you kind of feel like you want a contest. Hey,
I get to be the head coach of Dallas Cowboys.
I don't want to. I don't want to really, you know,
make too many waves here. But if you really want
to show the guys, hey, this is my team where
you have to follow the rules. It's more than three plays,
it really is. It's more than three plays. You might
as well have just said, hey, they have to pay
for dinner the rest I mean, I mean that would

(06:58):
have hurt him more. In the wall at here, it's like, Hey,
they're standing on the sideline and Troy Aikman's wondering aloud,
why in a three wide receiver set these guys aren't
I'm kind of embarrassed for the Cowboys. I'm kind of
embarrassed for its kind of a disappointing story. Oh it's three,
it's three. Like I want to know that there's at
least something cool that that that would have been disclosed
to us during the broadcast, Like you thought you knew

(07:18):
at all as to why these guys are spent way
to you hear you got nothing?

Speaker 5 (07:22):
No.

Speaker 1 (07:22):
I always think I think back when I think back
to this story, is that back when I was in
college and back in the nineties, and there was a
guy quarterback for Auburn named Jeff Berger Burger and he
got in trouble for some I don't know what it was,
but uh, Pat Dye was the head coach of Auburn
and there was a whole big debate whether Auburn what

(07:44):
would they do discipline him? And I don't know if
it was you know, Pat Dye figured this out with
the school or it was whatever decision it was, but
the decision was, hey, he can't start the next game.
And I remember when that came was like, whoa, whoa,
we can't start, Like when are you gonna see him?
What are they gonna put him in the game? Oh?

Speaker 3 (08:02):
My good?

Speaker 1 (08:02):
Like he can't start, right?

Speaker 3 (08:03):
That was all.

Speaker 1 (08:04):
He can't start the game. And what they did was
and maybe this was Pat and Dye thumbing his nose
because it was Auburn was really good. It was the
early mid nineties. They put the backup quarterback out there
who took the opening snap and fell down and came
out of the game. And the next play, Zick Burger
goes back down at least drag his leg like he

(08:24):
snapped an achilles or something. He wouldn't even hand the
ball off, like he wouldn't even hand it off to
We're gonna have a run player in a game three
yards and the guy's gonna come No, I'm gonna Slu'm
gonna take the stap and go down like we're kneeling
at the end of the game.

Speaker 3 (08:35):
And then hey, here comes Jeff.

Speaker 1 (08:37):
Berger in a corner. Yeah, I just that's it's so,
that's so embarrassed.

Speaker 6 (08:44):
This is like if there was a loss of ten
on the play and hopefully the Jets are thinking that's
the only loss on that play.

Speaker 1 (08:51):
Oh, come on, man, at least definitely was at least
give me the play by play. Him carrying the flat.
I watched it. It's just him running. I know. That's
the best thing I was gonna play for you.

Speaker 3 (08:59):
Him running.

Speaker 1 (09:00):
He looks so strong with the flat his right hand.
He looks like he almost looks like he's running, like
he's running the anchor leg with the Olympic.

Speaker 3 (09:07):
No, that's it.

Speaker 1 (09:08):
I'm gonna lightn the torch. Now. That's the coldest intro
to a sports game I've seen. Oh that was great,
like the lamp. Yeah, it was the last time things
were good. Well when that happened, it wasn't as good
as the butt fumble. What happened? No, no, no, no, wait,
mean we're almost at the anniversary of that.

Speaker 3 (09:22):
Yeah, we're getting there. We're getting there.

Speaker 1 (09:23):
Celebrated the anniversary of the Heidi. Yeah yeah, yeah, yeah yeah.
Well explained to millennials what the Heidi game was going
back to November seventeenth of nineteen sixty eight, when NBC
cut away from the final minutes of the Jets and
the Raiders. That's when TV movie Heidi. No, the Jets
are just involved in a lot of bad thames.

Speaker 3 (09:45):
There are a lot of stuff though.

Speaker 1 (09:47):
No, no, it's been the same thing over and over again.
That's like I say, the Jets are hades time we
sing a sad song over and over again and you
still watch it in the hopes that sometimes it's gonna change.

Speaker 3 (09:56):
Yeah, I'm I'm on.

Speaker 1 (09:58):
The Road to Hell, On the Road on the Road
to Hell, TJ. Clearly the Jets not used to living
it up on top of anything the last few years.
What a great song that is? Is into game one.

Speaker 6 (10:14):
Zach Wilson, the former number two overall pick from b
YU who's made twenty two starts in the NFL, is there.

Speaker 1 (10:24):
Why are we doing this? Why are we doing so
you remember, I never I never forget. I never forget that.
That's what.

Speaker 3 (10:30):
That's there.

Speaker 1 (10:30):
I respect you. There's lots of things I know. That's okay. No, no, jerk, no, no,
it's not no, it's not just I never forget that
moment because that was when everything went downhill. Everything went
downhill at that moment.

Speaker 3 (10:42):
How did we get there?

Speaker 1 (10:43):
From the bleeping Cowboys and his lack of a whatever
sort of punishment they had for Ceedee Lamb and George Pick.

Speaker 3 (10:48):
Oh yeah, three steps here were you opened it up?

Speaker 1 (10:51):
I didn't know he started going down the road to hell.

Speaker 7 (10:53):
There was a.

Speaker 1 (10:54):
Railroad road to Hell. I'm on the road to I'm
just seeing haighties down And you know, here's her reason.
He's high fiving all the Jets players. The season's passed
as he's getting ready to sing this song. And if
you ride that train, ride that train, see there you go,
you're having flashbacks. That's your entire life. No, but I mean,
but you look at Schottenheimer and the Cowboys and they

(11:16):
are completely Dak Prescott driven. So yeah, they're fun. They are.
Their offense is the top offense in the NFL. I mean,
they just put out a. I mean, I felt like
they just put out a like tonight was a stat
game for them, Like, hey, we know going in this
is this is homecoming for Michigan where they're playing you know, Ohio,

(11:37):
Wesleyan or whatever it is. Okay, this is we're gonna do.
Like it was kind of it was kind of like
a stat game for the Cowboys, you know. But again,
the controversy, we talked about it last hour. It's not
that big a deal. Like, obviously he's clearly not that
big a deal, but for the Cowboys, like this is
like a bump and they're they're done and gone with
it by tomorrow. Well, but on the grand scale, you
just gotta shrug him in. Clearly you pointed to the

(11:59):
fact that he over there hugging him after the first
touchdown drive. It's like all's forgiven, fellas, and away we
go off to a romp of a seventeen point win
on the road. A lot of Cowboys fans, Tom Brady
sitting in a box with Jim Gray. He still looks
weird in Raiders gear. But n's what it is. Again,

(12:19):
is it the worst thing? If next week, Hey, we
talked about Geno Smith. It's it's over for him if
Tom Brady activates him. I tell you what, if that
offensive line was half good, I mean they don't even
have to be good. If they were half good, I
could see it happening. You ain't putting himself behind those
five guys. You guys know who gets the next crock
at the Raiders?

Speaker 3 (12:37):
Right?

Speaker 1 (12:38):
Ohace Anderson? Yeah, wow, Yeah, it's Raider in. It was
auditioned to play for them for next year because you
know the Browns are gonna let him go. Hi, we're done,
We're done. So if they decide to depose Gino Smith,
just Kenny Pickett say no, thanks, activate O'Connell, let him
run away from Let Brady be Roger Dord in Major

(12:59):
League two. Today. I activated myself and he takes off
his cold trench. He's got his uniform hall right, yeah, no, no,
Tom Brady should be playing quarterback next week. All right, guys,
I'll play.

Speaker 3 (13:08):
I'll play.

Speaker 1 (13:08):
It's fine. Still throw the football, it's okay, rock powers,
and I'll steal the team catches. I'll undred and ninety
seven yards. He mayn't be able to throw the ball
eight because that's what he did at the end. He
can only throw the ball aout eight yards. But hey,
but if he does it accurately and on time. But
that's why you have two good tight ends with him
and Mike Mayer. Now, suddenly this offense is made for
Tom Brady. Two tight ends are gonna throw the football too.

(13:30):
Gent'll be a mad though, because he has to stay
back and ship. Yeah, it's not good enough, so you
got to keep Brady upright, Look, got it this way?
Ashton genty not getting any carries tonight or you know,
six carries seven yards, He's gonna be fresh for the
next head coach. So you, hey, our next head coach
is gonna come in. Hey, you're getting the ball twenty five
times again. So Ashton, how did it feel to get
tackled for the safety?

Speaker 5 (13:50):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (13:51):
Yeah, exit out about a Fresco exit swollen dome, So yeah, Cowboys,
it's kind of kind of a cheap punishment. But whatever,
they're past it. They won and they can keep their
pseudo playoff hopes a lot. Keep your ass alive, right, four,
five and one? Come on, now, you got a big
matchup against Philadelphia and then those Tomato Cans known as
the Chiefs and Lions.

Speaker 3 (14:11):
Coming up next.

Speaker 1 (14:12):
Could Lebron James be back in action tomorrow night. And
the other big football headline and highlight from Monday night
involves a guy who's out for the year and what

(16:10):
Mike and I love putting this content up for you
every single night.

Speaker 3 (16:15):
Well, Tomorrow night might.

Speaker 1 (16:16):
Be a big, big night in the National Basketball Association,
huge boner because Lebron James may make his Lakers season
debut tomorrow. James, he is officially questionable for the game

(16:37):
against the Jazz budd He's been ramping up his workouts
the last few days, the five on five, the practice,
So he is officially questionable for the game tomorrow night.
And I am so excited to see him come back
and be the number three or number four option for
the Lakers, to see him go full possessions without him
touching the ball where it's gonna go Luca Reeves. Maybe

(17:00):
he ate and for a touch back to Luca, and
maybe maybe I'll look your way, Lebron. But oh, for
Lebron to come back to the number three or number
four options is gonna be awesome, all right. A couple
of things. Number one quote, if you ain't never had it,
and people are making jokes about it, I pray you
never get it. It's not fun. And then he went
along with the conditioning and getting himself back in basketball shape. Quote,

(17:22):
my lungs feel like a newborn baby. That's the most
important thing. I gotta get my lungs back up to
a grown man. My voice is already gone. One day
back barking out calls and assignments and stuff, get my
voice working again. There'll be a lot of tea and
rest tonight. So yeah, I mean, you get a new
player into the rotation. Hey meet the new guy. Who's
that He goes by the name of King. You know,

(17:46):
I almost feel like and TJ the Return of the
King coming to marnw. I almost feel like Lebron has
no choice but to come back now because the way
the season started, right, you know, everything with lebn On
is it's it's it's very heavy handed, and everything is
done for a reason. Yes, yes, I Attica, but he's

(18:07):
also dribbling around taking shots on a on a zoom.
The same night he says, I I'm not gonna practice
at all. Right, Uh, he almost has to come back
now because the beginning of the season, I'm sure he thought, well,
I'm gonna come back as a save here because you
know we're not going to start out great. So yeah,
all right, I'll come back and up, I'll get us

(18:28):
going and I will get back some of the cachet
that I lost because now they just want to push
me out. The Lakers want to push me out, the
fans want to push me out. They're ready to be
to be uh a driven by Luca Doncics, but I
got to show him I'm the missing piece. Okay, So
it's fine. So sits out the first few games, and
what happens. The Lakers play pretty good. Right, The Lakers

(18:48):
play pretty good, and they come into this season, Luca
plays really really well, playing an MVP level. He misses
a couple of games, doesn't matter. Austin reeves showing I
can be the numbnumber two guy and this team can
be built behind Luca and me. Okay, and guess what
DeAndre Ayton has shown. I'm a pretty good third option.
Maybe that's the big they needed, right, And they went

(19:10):
out and got him for a reason after this year,
because you know what, they know what Luca likes, and
this is the guy to go out and now here
comes Lebron. What am I gonna do? We started out
pretty good. He delays it anymore, it just gets it
just gets more awkward. Right. It's the point where I
said he would come back when he saw the soft spot,
and it stead when the Lakers hit the skids a
little bit. That's when he would come back, because then

(19:31):
he would be the savior. But you watch these last
couple of games, right, they went back to backs, and
the second back to back is at Milwaukee. You know,
two back to backs on the road. Yes, they lost
to the Thunder. Okay, but they had started out pretty well.
You're losing that game on the road, all right. I
thought it'd be a little bit more competitive. But that's
okay to lose that game. But then you come back
and win back to backs. Include that's second that win

(19:53):
against Milwaukee, when I thought for sure, Okay, the Lakers
are gonna get pasted right here they are Milwaukee, Milwaukee's
playing well a little bit better. This is not the
night for them. Second night of back to backs, they
win again. I almost feel like, now home get Lebron
has no choice but to come back, as the longer
he is out, the more awkward it gets him to
try to come back and assimilate himself in. So yeah,

(20:15):
I kind of have no I gotta come back now
and get in while the getting's good. Now, I'm not
gonna come back how I thought it was gonna come
back as a conquering hero. But I gotta come back
and really wedge myself in and find my role on
this team, which is probably how the Lakers want it. Hey,
we want you. We're not just gonna default to you,
because if they do that and they start losing, and

(20:36):
all of a sudden, the Lakers' possessions go from hey,
they're moving the ball really well and Luca gets a shot,
or here's Austin Reeves and it looks the wait, they're
moving the ball well. If all of a sudden it's
a ball stopper Lebron and Lebron taking heat check threes
that don't go, and Austin Reeves is only scoring twelve
a game. Now, guess what. That ain't gonna fly, and
it's gonna be we gotta get Lebron out of here.

(20:57):
So I think this is even though Lebron the pressure
on him to come back as now, I really feel
like the Lakers saying this is a really good spot
for it too, because he's not coming back in he
can't take over. He's got to come in within the
confines of this offense. It's gonna be absolutely fascinating to
see what the Lakers offense looks like when he does
come back. Is he gonna start taking over possessions? Because

(21:19):
if he if you have a possession where he's got
the ball and dribbling down the clock. Fans are gonna
stand up in boo, give the ball to Luke and
give the ball to somebody else like this this game
when he comes back, how he fits in? From a
basketball standpoint, I don't know that there's gonna be a
more fun basketball on the court story this year than
how does Lebron fit back in with the Lakers? Yeah,

(21:41):
you have drama with other teams and and and you
know Joelle Embiid, is he gonna still play twenty minutes again?
Like you still have that stuff Karl Anthony Towns and
all the bad fouls he commits, Like that's all. But
you talk about on the court, right, And that's what
the best stories are, always the ones that are on
the field and on the court. On the court, there's
not gonna be a more fascinating story than this. But
it's the intrigue, Right, where's he at physically? How quickly

(22:03):
does he reintegrate to a heavy minutes load? What does
it do for the offense and certainly for the role
players who've gotten used to a little heavier minutes and
activity in the rotation. What happens to them when it
goes from hey, I'm playing fifteen to I'm down to seven?
Are they as effective? Right? All of those are trickle
down effect questions that won't watch over this next five

(22:24):
to ten games period. And you know, I hate the
phraseology of quote playing with house money unquote. It's one
of my most hated terms. But in that vein, you're
at ten and four. You did not expect to be
ten and four. Outside of the thunder and the Denver
Nuggets who lost to the Bulls tonight, who do you

(22:47):
fear in the conference? Everybody's kind of trying to find
their way, right Whenby's gonna miss a couple of weeks.
All of a sudden, there's an epidemic of calf strains
going across the International Basketball Association. No fewer than four
stars are going to be out for several weeks because
of calf strains, and all of a sudden, hey, can

(23:08):
we lower that game's played minimum to sixty so we
can get so Wenby can still be in the MVP conversation.
Just make sure we do a preemptive strike here if
this is gonna take him out a long time, right,
Giannis left the Bucks game tonight. You mentioned that game
the other night against Lakers. Did you ever think they'd
be up thirty points? And I have to, I mean
that was just insane, right, But but you're looking at

(23:29):
a squad that I no idea for JJ Reddick. He's
done a masterful job thus far. Luca obviously trying to
push aside all of the rhetoric of the past and
be that guy, the next great Laker and push things forward.
And everybody else has found their role. Lebron James coming back.
Will he know his role? Mean he's talking about his

(23:51):
voice being bad, you know the old rock line, Know
your role and shut your mouth. Will he be able
to do that? Will it? And how many games does
it take before you get in a panic? Like if
they go two and four in the next six do
we do a bunch of handwringing?

Speaker 3 (24:05):
Right?

Speaker 1 (24:05):
That game against Oklahoma City still showed you kind of
where you are.

Speaker 3 (24:08):
Yeah, that's okay, and that's all right.

Speaker 1 (24:10):
It showed I mean maybe we need for the long term,
we need something else, right, And that's fine, and that's
absolutely fine. But now how we get because it's not
just about getting back in it. So it's great all
the drama around it, but on the court, what what
like every possession I'm gonna be fascinated to watch. But
ever since he was thirsty in that post game DeAndre
Ayton interview. Remember we played that audio last week. Yeah,

(24:33):
there you go, Here you go five. Okay, thanks, Lebron, whatever,
Lebron James, everybody. We get to that big NFL story
coming up in ninety seconds, but first gonna find out
what's trending in the wide world of sports. So someone
who's been called the Lebron James of Fox Sports Radio
when other people do interviews, she gets to the back going, yeah,
you go get him, you go get him. It's yeah,

(24:56):
maybe I might do that. I might do that, but
I'm a team player.

Speaker 7 (24:58):
You know what I'm saying.

Speaker 1 (25:00):
I'm not Lebron.

Speaker 7 (25:00):
I'm a team player. Okay, Lebron's not a team player,
as we're gonna not this soon.

Speaker 2 (25:06):
He is questionable to.

Speaker 7 (25:07):
Make his debut tomorrow or later today if you're on
the East Coast on Tuesday against the Jazz, which will
be interesting to see how the Lakers handle him coming
onto the court. We'll start in the NFL, though. Aside
from Lebron James being officially listed as questionable eleven Week
eleven of the NFL has wrapped up guys. Cowboys crews
pass the Raiders thirty three to sixteen. Dak Prescott through

(25:30):
for two hundred and sixty eight yards four touchdowns. George
Pickens had nine catches, one hundred and forty four yards
and a touchdown. My fantasy team did not do well
because Ashton Genty had six carries for seven yards, but
as a team, the Raiders had a total of twenty
seven rushing yards. No bueno. Other NFL news, Falcons quarterback
Michael Pennix Junior is headed to IR after aggravating a

(25:52):
bone bruise in his knee, and ESPN reports that he's
not going to play again this season. Also, Falcons aren't
going to have Drake London for a Week twelve against
the Saints because he suffered a PCL sprain. Texans quarterback CJ.
Strad remains in concussion protocol. He did not practice on Monday.
Packers won't roll out running back Josh Jacobs for a
Week twelve just yet despite that knee injury, and the

(26:13):
NFL has suspended Bengals wide receiver Jamar Chase for one
game after he's spent on Steelers defensive back Jalen Ramsey
during yesterday's game. In college football, Virginia Tech officially high
former Penn State head coach James Franklin as their new
head football coach. In the NBA, the seventy six ers
came back to defeat the Clippers one ten to oneh eight.

Speaker 2 (26:32):
Tyrese Maxi led.

Speaker 7 (26:33):
The way with thirty nine points, but James Harden had
twenty eight points and has officially reached twenty eight thousand
career points. And according to the Internet, there's only three
guards that have twenty eight thousand career points.

Speaker 1 (26:44):
I have looked to see if it's.

Speaker 7 (26:46):
Hard to believe that only Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant and
James Harden.

Speaker 1 (26:52):
That seems wrong, right, Yeah, it seems wrong. Those are
the only guards. It seems wrong. Yep, Okay, all right,
go James.

Speaker 3 (27:01):
I'm telling you there's a few people in my.

Speaker 7 (27:03):
Life that I owe an apology to.

Speaker 1 (27:04):
James Harden is probably one of them.

Speaker 7 (27:05):
The Bulls snapped their five game losing streak can the
Nuggets are first lost at home, coming out on top
one thirty to one twenty seven. Nikola Yokich a triple
double in the loss, the Cavaliers top the Bucks one
eighteen to one O six as Donovan Mitchell dropped thirty
seven points.

Speaker 2 (27:18):
The Heat held on one fifteen to one thirteen at.

Speaker 7 (27:20):
Home against the Knicks and the Pistons of one ton
in a row after defeating the Pacers one twenty seven
to one twelve. Victory is also on Monday Night for
the Thunder the Timberwolves the Raptors as R. J. Barrett
hit the go ahead layup with eighteen seconds left to
top the Hornets one ten to one oh eight. When
it comes to the NHL, the Capitals, they edged the

(27:40):
Kings two to one. Alex Soovechkin scored his nine hundred
and third career goal to win it. The Blue Jackets
over the Canadians forty three in a shootout, and the
Ducks edge of the mammach the Mammoth three to two
in overtime.

Speaker 1 (27:53):
WHOA, what a busy night it was.

Speaker 7 (27:55):
This is why I'm not here, mondays all right.

Speaker 1 (27:57):
By usually you'd be home watching mclib I.

Speaker 7 (28:00):
Would be home watching the Clippers or a little bit
of mony Monday Night football. Uh, maybe a little bit
of the Bachelor Bachelorette.

Speaker 1 (28:09):
Okay, Bachelor in Paradise.

Speaker 2 (28:11):
Sure, one of those.

Speaker 7 (28:13):
Sometimes it's on on Mondays, you know, sometimes with the stars.

Speaker 1 (28:17):
Yeah, you know what I'm saying. It's usually what I
do on Mondays.

Speaker 2 (28:20):
It's my chill day.

Speaker 1 (28:21):
But you know, came in, dang out. You guys were
in and the Yeoman efforts, and you know you got
paid for today, right you didn't. You didn't just do
this out of the goodness of your heart. You know
you got paid for today, right right?

Speaker 7 (28:33):
I have your record yet, not yet, I hope I will.

Speaker 1 (28:38):
It'll be in your check this week. Don't worry about
don't worry. It'll be all right. Bye. So tonight at
w w E RAW was a big night because the
John Cena farewell tour continued. Maybe the last time we
seem probably last time we seen Madison Square the last
time the time definitely going to see I didn't really

(28:59):
see him though, No, you didn't realize it. But you
heard he was there. You heard he was there, You
heard he was wrestling and it was really fun. You
know the end of his match was great. It was
you know, it was great theater. And maybe we see
him after this year. Maybe we see him, but you know,
it's a retirement tour, so though he's finishing at the
end of the year. Yeah, but what I'm saying is
maybe we see him at the after the end of
this year because as he really retired like John c

(29:21):
and I kind of feel like this is when a
rock band says, these are our final concerts. We're never
gonna be on tour again. So the price is through
the roof. Oh next year will be on tour. Well,
I mean he's so he tried to do distinguishing and
we'll see how much he gets cooled, but trying to say, hey,
come see it, and they've certainly build it, and he's
trying to go buy the old value of if you're

(29:42):
paying exorbitant prices to see me, now, I can't screw
you over by getting back in a ring and fighting.
So it was great for John Cena, not so great
for Giants running back Cam Scattabo he looked like Andrew
Schultz with that must So Scataboo is ringside and he's

(30:02):
wearing a New York Rangers jersey and he gets into
it in what I'm sure was a scripted bit supposed
to be in there with Dominic Mysterio. Now here's mysterio
who's gonna insult the New York crowd and then insult
Cam Scataboo before chaos ensues. Status isn't bad. The only

(30:24):
good thing that's ever come out of New York City
is standing right in front of you, the only champion
New York is seen in How many years? Can you count? Cam?

Speaker 2 (30:33):
How many years? He don't know, he can't.

Speaker 3 (30:37):
He has Cam Tatabou. Can you count?

Speaker 1 (30:39):
How many years is New York win a championship camp?
Can you count? So it's a great bit, right, great bit,
and then a fight breaks out and Cam Scataboo, who
is recovering from a really disastrous ankle injury that was
only happened.

Speaker 3 (30:53):
A couple weeks ago, is in the middle of this.

Speaker 1 (30:56):
Like it's not like, oh hey, Cam is in and
he's part of the act. And we go onto the ring. Though, like,
if you're the Giants, you're watching this going, oh my god,
what the hell are you doing?

Speaker 5 (31:06):
Man?

Speaker 3 (31:06):
We have a lot invested in you. You, you and
Jackson Darter our future. Like this went from it.

Speaker 1 (31:12):
I don't feel like I want to be the fun hater,
but I mean, dude, it was really fun and then
I'm like, all I'm thinking is, oh my god, the
Giants are all having heart attacks right now watching Campscattaboo.
Who Now you can't see in the middle of the
scrum because it's not like they're gonna hit him or anything.
But if he trips, if he falls, if all of
a sudden, hey, I just set my recovery back by
eight months because I just screwed up my ankle again

(31:33):
like the Giants. I mean, there's gotta be some kind
of you hey, hey, well, no, his injury was real.
And if he trips and falls because people are jumping
on top of him, uh, you know, you could get
hurt again. So wait, you're saying Cam's Katabu is faking
his injury. No, that's a that's a hot take. Camp
Scattabuu faking is injury? Careful how doctor d David Schultz,
you're ass I don't. I don't want to think it's fake.

(31:54):
I don't want to play behind James Winston too many interceptions, man,
and pretend I'm hurt. But I mean, you see that,
go wow, that's that's that's that's not something that Giants fans,
the Giants themselves. I can't believe that they're not just
making sure that. Okay, my heart is still beating after
watching this happen to Kataboo. Yeah it's funny, right because
you got Andrew Schultz, who's who's there with Cam and

(32:16):
the other members of the Giants, and he's the one
being interviewed, and then Dominic Mysterio comes over and he decides, well,
let's let's kick this up a notch, right, So all
of a sudden, a little pushing and shoving, Schultz goes
flying a little bit, and Cam stands up. He's gonna
be the brave man here against the judgment day ahead
of the six man tag and the SNA match and

(32:36):
all that stuff. But for the Giants, I gotta imagine
they got a call. I think somebody goes back to
the old adage. Maybe you learned this as a kid,
ask for forgiveness, not permission, because a lot of times, look,
I've done it, you know, for a lot of things
workwise or whatever. It's like, hey, should we do this?

(32:56):
Can we do this? Like yeah, you probably shouldn't, Like yeah,
but what's really the fallout? If I do it? It
could make make for a great bit, It could make
for a you know, a fun experience for the family
could go catastrophically wrong, costs me a lot of money
and you know, shame. But here you go for camp'scattabo.

(33:17):
He decided I want to be part of the bit.
So maybe he gets to call him on. Maybe he's
looking at it going, hey, Joe, Shane's not gonna do
anything to me, because my time I'm playing again, he
won't be around you. Also, remember, though you got you're
not making any money right now, like you're you're a
fourth round pick, like you're not making cash. And I mean,
he pushes mysterio and then it's a it's a big

(33:37):
Donnie Brook and they're all fighting, and I'm going, oh
my god, this is not cool for campskataboo. Man, this
is not cool for the Giants. Yeah, but right now
he got shoved in a big way. But right now
he can make a lot of money like Tommy DeVito
did after that whole pizza thing. Oh I don't know, man,
He's got much more of an NFL future than Tommy
DeVito has. I'm just saying for that, well, Tommy Devino

(33:58):
is still hanging around, and yeah he's not. He doesn't
have to worry about playing camp scattab who has to
worry about player? But right now he can sign a
lot of autographs, yeah, banks, some cams. Yeah sure, because
I'm Tommy Cutlets and I don't need to I'm third
string quarter. No no, I'm saying scatibo. It's like a cold hero.

Speaker 3 (34:12):
I get it.

Speaker 1 (34:13):
But dude, you just watch a guy get pushed and
shoved none too. The ground is fine, you know.

Speaker 3 (34:17):
Okay?

Speaker 1 (34:17):
If that happened to Caleb Williams, what would you say?
Caleb Williams gets in dominant Mysterial, which the last time
you want a championship? Can you count Caleb?

Speaker 3 (34:23):
You'd be a little pissed.

Speaker 1 (34:25):
Great, are you kidding me? You want to get over
on a whole other level. You get part of be
part of Monday Night Raw, and you have the greatness
of dominic mysterio that picks you to add into a bit. Ye,
dirty dumb is one of the biggest things going in
the game right now. If his finishing move is a
cutlet to the face, oh oh, that'd be pretty cool.
Like you get slapped in the face with the cutlet

(34:47):
and you just see it, it flies by his face
and you get the cutlet Pounder.

Speaker 3 (34:52):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (34:52):
The sauce. Oh yeah, he's just tapping you in the
face with it out. Stop stop, stop just annoying me.
He's leaving little dimples on there, like curating a state.
I have Marinara sauce and mozzarella.

Speaker 3 (35:08):
On my face.

Speaker 1 (35:08):
But I mean this is great. He gets over as
a fold kiro.

Speaker 3 (35:12):
On a whole other life.

Speaker 1 (35:13):
Dude, if this was a Jet or Edwin Diaz, I
know they'd be out for the year. I mean, I said,
but you don't want him to get hurt even more.
Come on, man, he means a lot to you. He'll
be Okay, Jet was it the man lived out at
what I'm sure was a childhood dreamy and being part

(35:33):
of the fracas on Monday Night Raw and again you're going,
this is Seda's last Madison Square Garden appearance. It was
so big that Big Dom was in attendance. He and
Cooper Dejean hanging out. So here's the Jets we've invited.
You're gonna be in Tonight's Quentin Williams. He's trading, he's
playing Monday Night Football. Okay, Sauce Gardener, No, he's on
the Colts. Okay, justin Field, he got benched. You know what,

(35:55):
never mind, never but just go, just go whatever. Whatever
this guy's already forget it.

Ruthie's Table 4

For more than 30 years The River Cafe in London, has been the home-from-home of artists, architects, designers, actors, collectors, writers, activists, and politicians. Michael Caine, Glenn Close, JJ Abrams, Steve McQueen, Victoria and David Beckham, and Lily Allen, are just some of the people who love to call The River Cafe home. On River Cafe Table 4, Rogers sits down with her customers—who have become friends—to talk about food memories. Table 4 explores how food impacts every aspect of our lives. “Foods is politics, food is cultural, food is how you express love, food is about your heritage, it defines who you and who you want to be,” says Rogers. Each week, Rogers invites her guest to reminisce about family suppers and first dates, what they cook, how they eat when performing, the restaurants they choose, and what food they seek when they need comfort. And to punctuate each episode of Table 4, guests such as Ralph Fiennes, Emily Blunt, and Alfonso Cuarón, read their favourite recipe from one of the best-selling River Cafe cookbooks. Table 4 itself, is situated near The River Cafe’s open kitchen, close to the bright pink wood-fired oven and next to the glossy yellow pass, where Ruthie oversees the restaurant. You are invited to take a seat at this intimate table and join the conversation.
