(00:23):
You're listening to Fox Sports Radio. The Playing Round, giveth
and the Playing Round, Take it away. We've scared me,
tight shirt, it's too early in the show to scare me.
With Sean McVeigh, it's too early, man. It's gotta be
in the last hour of the show, the Witching hour.

(00:45):
It's where it has to be. Um in about let's
see twenty minutes or so. The Lakers will be back
to being technically out of the playoffs as they trail
the Utah Jazz right now, what oh seven to ninety
one again, Lakers playing without Lebron James, without Anthony Davis,
and if they lose, they'll be tied with the Spurs.

(01:06):
The Spurs will have the tide breaker, So now both
teams will be thirty one forty five. Both teams are
gonna have six games left, and tomorrow night the Lakers
are gonna play again. And maybe they have Lebron James,
maybe they have Anthony Davis, maybe they don't. But this
is how the playing round giveth and the playing round
take it away like a tide, like the fog rolling in.

(01:30):
I mean, we can go Night Moves and Bob Seeker
if we want the Silver Bullet band. But uh yeah,
the Evan flow ridiculous. I mean, this is one right now?
Is the question of all right? The spread was thirteen
and a half sixteen point game, so we're seeping an
eye on that as as we flow. And and certainly
Donovan Mitchell with his twenty seven and six assists that

(01:53):
we we want to get his post game? Is this
more like it? Did you just beat up on bad opponent? Yeah?
You hated after your last game? How we feeling today?
Is this the same old crap? Or is this not
the same old crap? Dottovan? Do you want to be
a nick da? Not? Because I heard a guy in
the radio, have you for Julius Randall? Trade all worked
out in the off season. He even photos shopped you,

(02:16):
all right, he knows that no photos shop he brought.
He bought a sixty four packet Crans and he drew
over a basketball card. He put in Knicks jersey. He
asked his partner on the air, you can do photoshop,
put Dottoman Mitchell and a Knicks jersey for me, and
then he sent it to him and then I put
it on the computer. That's good. I like that. Everybody.

(02:36):
Every Look, everybody's got their own computer strengths, right, everybody does.
My strength is I can find a lot of things
in a very short period of time. That's my strength
is I can find I know big keywords how to
find something the very short period of time. But could
you tell, hey, how can I cut and pace this
link and setting up? That's what do I gotta do.
I cut and pay and this, and then the whole

(02:58):
thing comes in. And then I got that that that's
not me. Everybody has their strength. That's my strength. That
is not my strength. See you, at some point it
kind of feels like when you're you're working at trying
to find something on the computer. It's straight out of
the Mercy Seat from Johnny Cash, and the Mercy seat
is trembling, and I feel my head is melting. That's

(03:19):
kind of where it is because you're at a blistering
pace trying to find whatever, and I'm afraid to go
into the search engine on said machine without having an
exorcist nearby. But the point, the point is there. I mean,
there's a vast array of things you can do with
a computer, with your social media accounts, and you're you're

(03:40):
good for a quip or a quick meme. But in
terms of any of the technical side note, Nope, we've
we we've established this long ago. Uh cut and paste
maybe a little bit, but you know, we're we're learning.
We're all works in progress. Isn't that what Will Smith
said the other day? Yes, we all are. Some of
still want to slap people because we can't control ourselves,

(04:02):
but you know, we're we're all work in progress. And
you know that is a very apt thing to say,
because look, if you were complete and finished human being
will be pretty boring, right. I mean, I know what
I'm doing, I know everything to do. We're still trying
to figure things out as you go along. Now there's hey,
I'm still trying to to do the right thing because

(04:23):
you know, I want to know the right way to
console a family member I want to know the right
way I should deal with something involving my daughter. Then
there's I'm still working on not slapping people on stage
at the Oscars. There there's a couple of ways. I mean,
one I think is a little bit more apropole in
line with that. The other one is, dude, you got issues, man,
that's just you. You got but not but not you

(04:44):
have a story that the Academy may have been lying.
I saw it, the potential expulsion. I saw Will Smith
from the proceedings that evidently it didn't go down quite
like they claim. So uh there' is this just bad?
I like Daniel Radcliffe's approach to it. Yeah, I've talked

(05:04):
about it. It's been talked about enough. Might just be
another opinion. I've done with it. There's a lot of me.
There's a lot of media is going on right now
with eighty year old people that just don't understand. What
do we do with the whole thing involving Who was
it that Chris Rock slapping Will Smith? No? No, no,
it was the other way around. Oh it was, Oh well, no,

(05:25):
I got my information. As long as someone doesn't describe
it as he got verbally slapped because then, I mean,
all hell breaks loose. I mean, because what are we
talking about now? But yeah, it's they're saying it could
take a couple of weeks for that investigation to go down.
We're gonna ban those hosts from because they were wearing
pajamas at the end. Right, No, no, now this is
about Oh I thought that's what it was. Tell you,

(05:48):
by the by the end of the investigation, the Lakers
will be long into their offseason. What two three? Cancoon?
I want to ben Ricky gr face from all the
things he said as hell, he's not the most Oh. Oh,
I thought he was hosting. No, I was just on
social media. All right, then, Hey, friend, friend of mine
just posted this on Twitter. I want to get your

(06:09):
reaction to it, because everybody got mad when the crypt
Keeper I mean when Crypto dot com took over for
Staples Center. Yeah, forum is now the Kia Forum. How
do you feel about that? Oh, that's okay, the key
because it's still the forum. It's still the Foe. I
don't need to I don't need to say Kia. I'm
not I'm not have to lose any money now if
the forum and look, I'm glad the forum actually has

(06:31):
a sponsor and it's not being torn down, So I'm
okay with the game because they can't get friends to
come back and do a bunch of concerts. Oh my god,
he saved the forum with like those forty concerts in
forty days. No, I know, I'm okay with you got
to go into a couple of those, but I'm not.
I'm not bitter at all. If it was if it was,
you know, Staples Center at Crypto dot Com Arena, I'd

(06:53):
be okay with that too. But it's just Wow, you
just took a swipe at the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim.
I was I'd be okay with that. By way of
the five Freeway while you're twitter and out about a Fresca,
Mike gets swollen down The Jason Smiths Show with my
best friend Mike Harmon. Tonight Show brought to you by
one of our favorite cities, Las Vegas. Your home for

and competition. It is always on. Now go on to
plan your trip at visit Las Vegas dot com see
the best and brightest in Vegas, the greatest arena on Earth.
Now the NFL Today great day today because Caesar has
put out the official over underwind totals for all thirty

(07:38):
two teams in the NFL. And some of them, yeah,
I feel a lot of them. We're right on some
I really disagreed with, and I'm telling you which way
I would go on them. So let's go through. We
already gave you a few earlier in the show, right,
we gave you Green Bay. We went through the Giants, Buffalo.
Here's some other over underwind totals where clearly I like

(07:59):
one side over the other. The Arizona Cardinals are at nine. Okay,
how's the Cardinals are at nine? Give me the under.
This season has disaster written all over it for Arizona. Look,
they were great last year and they fell apart. The
team could still make an f them picks offer for
Kyler Murray and then the Cardinals are starting over. It's

(08:20):
clear they're not on the same page that it's it
is combative between Kyler Murray and the Cardinals. This has
disaster written all over it. So I'm gonna go under
for the Carton nine wins. Give me under this this
this could be one of those years where hey man,
they're barely ahead of the Seahawks, UH in third place
in the NFC West. Well, I'll go down to UH

(08:41):
take another NFC team that's a game and a half higher,
Dallas at ten and a half. Yeah, no, I'm not
trust Forget about everything that's off the field. We talked
about that with Jason Cole last Hour, Jerry Jones and
the battle real life succession UH and everybody wanting their
pound of flesh and all that, But you look at

(09:02):
it on the field unless they're willing to make Tony
Pollard the guy. Zekiel Elliott got a lot of money
sunk into that, and I don't think he's done, but
he's certainly not the guy you paid and as a
duo solid. But that receiving corps lost a lot of
Marie Cooper's gone gallops coming back, but he's coming off
an injury, so they're hoping he rounds in the shape

(09:22):
and he's ready to go by by September. And there's
no guarantee there. Cedric Wilson left, UH, So there's a
lot of change there in the receiving corps for Dak Prescott.
Not to mention that offensive line is not nearly as
good as the reputation suggests. So as much as you
love Micah Parsons flying around and some of the stars
they have, defensively, losing Randy Gregory is gonna be a

(09:44):
big loss. So at ten and a half, I'll take
the under on that. All right, I'm gonna take you
now to let's see that. It's tough because the NFC
East is so bad. You know, you think that the
Coward's gonna win some games just by default. But yeah,
Washington's got the worst, like the easiest schedule on paper.

(10:06):
And even if I don't like Carson Wentz to lead
me into the postseason, he can get me ten wins
in the regular season. They've got a couple of pieces
they're not if he's got to play the Jaguars, why
don't they play the Jaguars every week? And he's not
gonna win those games? Well, the Jaguars are fun because
they're at six and a half wins. I'll take the
over on that. Yeah, I see, that's touchs too tough
for me. They're still really really bad, and I don't

(10:27):
did they get that much better to get to seven
wins sevens a lot like like I like the Jets
at over five and a half, five and a half
easy because it's five and a half for a lot,
you know, you know, I know that the Bears too.
I like the over for the I'm sorry, I mean,

(10:47):
I'm sorry. I like that. I love the Texans at
four and a half because Davis Mills is pretty good.
You know, they re signed their own guys, right, that's
what they wanted to do. They have a ton of
draft picks, and it's pretty easy to win five games.
You're asking for a lot, So come on and don't
say that you've watched some of these teams. You've watched
your Jets. Yeah, it's easy to win five games. Wow?

(11:10):
Not always? Not always? Yeah, I mean you've got a
very large, muddled middle in both conferences where you've got
that seven and a half to nine range, particularly in
the a f C. Pittsburgh as seven and a half,
and then you've got Vegas, Miami, New England at eight
and a half, Indie, Baltimore, Cleveland, Cincinnati at nine and

(11:32):
a half. That's a that's a lot of us, a
lot of get you know, five teams that we're looking at. Yeah, no,
but it's also who's going to take that step up? Right?
Because the Bengals could still be really good. Okay, but
you know the Browns got DeShawn Watson. Okay, the Ravens
have Lamar Jackson, assuming they don't have the same pestilence

(11:54):
and plagues that come through. And look, it's the Lenten season.
Ten commandments are on a week from Sunday. Man, so
I'm getting ready. Here's the locusts and here's everything going
on here. Uh that that's what happened in that Baltimore
locker room a year ago. Uh. The Jason Spencer with
Mike Carmen Live and the Fox Sports Radio studios going
over the official over underwin totals as Caesar's put them

(12:17):
out earlier today in Vegas. For teams in the National
Football League, UM, one team, I'm gonna give you over
on and it's it's a hard one because they're at ten.
But I'll take over for the Chargers. Look at you. Look,
somebody in that division is gonna win eleven or twelve games,
Like that's how you win the division. Right now, We're
not gonna have four teams at nine and eight, right,
It's not gonna happen. The Broncos will probably struggle a

(12:40):
little bit year one as they try to figure out
what kind of team they need to be. The Raiders
still have the worst quarterback in the division. And the
Chiefs didn't get better in the offseason. They got worse.
Now they may wind up sling shotting a season from now,
but none of these but they didn't get better. The
Chargers got better. They're the one team you can say
they had everything they need on offense, and now they

(13:01):
bring out a couple of lights out players on defense.
Now their defense is terrific. Somebody's gonna win those games.
It's gonna be the Chargers. Given me the over on
the Charges for ten. Look at that. I'm gonna go
back to the NFC and look at old Captain Kirk
and I'll take the over on. Look at you, Look
at you betting on Kirk Cousins like that. And change
in coaching, which means, in theory, what you drilled down

(13:24):
on anybody applying to that job, how would you handle
the final two minutes of a half and the final
two minutes of a game? Go? You just said your
name is not Zimmer. Oh yeah, that's good enough. Check
Mark right there, good check Ani there? Yeah, man and
Finland redid his deal. You still have that backfield. I

(13:46):
think there's a lot with Jefferson IRV Smith rising up
their tight end. There, there's plenty of opportunity here. Uh.
And even though again the division is not as porison
futile uh and effort as it's been in the years past. Uh,
the opportunity is there for Captain Kirk who's been efficient, uh,
the much maligned Kirk cousins, because he wore it seemingly

(14:09):
every loss. And unless you really dove deep. And that's
where Zimmer and the staff got their fair share. UH.
Now Here, I'm gonna give you what is my best
bet this out last last hour. I gave him my
best bet last hour for for what I like over
under um, which was the Giants under seven. Come on,
that's a terrible football team. Um. The Seahawks right now

(14:31):
are at six. Okay, this is a team that doesn't
have a quarterback. They're gonna try to reload on the fly,
and eventually they're gonna trade DK Metcalf because they when
you're rebuilding like they are, you have no room for
a wide receiver. You have to pay twenty million dollars
a year two, which is what he's going to want,
so they're gonna get two good early picks for him.

(14:54):
And that's how they're gonna rebuild this team with a
ton of draft picks. And it's gonna be not this year,
but next year. It's say, hey, the Seahawks are kind
of reborn, give me a year to get their new
quarterback and figure things out. But sick they're gonna win
seven games. That's no, no, no, no, no. Give me
the under for the Seahawks, especially in that division where
they lose twice to the Rams twice. Thet is they
win one game against the Cardinals. Maybe they win one

(15:15):
game there, So yeah, I will go way under for
the Seahawks. I would say this there at that point,
where as as a work in progress, because there's still
a mover two to be made, particularly at the quarterback position.
I really highly doubt that they get in uh into
camp with these same same two guys, right so I

(15:36):
think six might be a play right now, with the
expectation that they find somebody better. And so long as
that domino doesn't include the departure of Lockett and or
DK Metcalf, that I can hit the over office six.
That's that's a lot of wins though for a team
that's that bad. Hey, you just said you can get

(15:57):
to five without thinking about it. Yeah, well listen, Well
the Jets ken because they got better in the off season.
They have their quarterback. They have way less questions than
the Seahawks do, way less questions, way less, and again
they have did you not listen to anything? Uh? You know?
And yeah, well yeah, I know, I know. All right,

(16:19):
So there you go. So there's some of our over
underpicks right now. Win totals in the NFL. Twitter at
how about a Fresca Mike at Swollen Dome. Will have
more over unders coming up later on. But straight ahead,
Oh boy, if you didn't think Tom Brady pushed Bruce
Arians out yesterday, where do you hear some of the
stuff Bruce Arians had to say today? Now you'll be

(16:39):
even more convinced he pushed him out, kind of like
Harrison Ford pushing out Gary Oman off his airplane. My
plane that's coming up next right here. Fox. Be sure
to catch live editions of The Jason Smith Show with
Mike Harmon weekdays at ten pm Eastern, seven pm Pacific
on Fox Sports Radio and the I Heart Radio app.

(17:00):
Fox Sports Radio The Jason Smith Show with my best
friend Mike Harmon. Well, oh hey, so speaking of the Lakers,
that's and see what I just did that? Hey? Hey,
you know what though, they paid off for their backers
plus thirteen and a half baby waiting at it done. Yeah,
you sweated it out. But JAZ win by thirteen one

(17:23):
twenty two to one oh nine. Russell Westbrook has twenty
four uh for the Lakers. Meanwhile, for the Jazz Go
Bear was twenty five and seventeen. Donovan Mitchell goes for
twenty nine. So for one night at least, Donovan Mitchell
is gonna be happy. He's gonna be Okay. It wasn't
the same old stuff. We needed to play the Lakers
and they stink. But maybe now I'm back on the

(17:43):
jazz bandwagon. I mean maybe not, but maybe now I'm
back on the bandwagon a little bit. Well, the Lakers
fans were just calling on their team to beat the spread.
For Donovan Mitchell, I would like to think that he
just says, uh, if we didn't take care of business
and this one I quit, right, I mean, just this
is the one where you you throw your shoes into

(18:04):
the locker and just walk away. Uh, if you've lost
this one, twenty nine point seven assists, just one rebound
on the night at eleven two from the field, plus
sevent team to get the job done. Yeah, for the
Lakers now mathematically once again below the cut line. And
now tomorrow has become a must win for the Lakers.

(18:27):
And you're like, wait a minute, wait a minute. They're
tied with the Spurs. They're six games. Yeah, because for
the Lakers and the Spurs, remember this is what people forget.
They both stink. Okay, both of these teams stink. They're
not gonna suddenly go on a tear and win six
games in Rota and the season. Maybe Lebron comes back,
maybe a d comes back, But this is Tomorrow is

(18:48):
a must win game because you're playing a team that
stinks just as bad as you. You can't go in
and say, well, it's a must win game. We play
Phoenix next week. The Lakers are gonna lose by thirty
in that game. If you're the Lakers and the Spurs,
you're saying, okay, how many more winnable games do we have?
For the Lakers, it's two. They have Oklahoma City and
they have New Orleans. Right for the Spurs, you're looking

(19:09):
at at the end of their schedule, like, okay, how
many were winnable games of the Spurs, and the Spurs
have for the rest of their games that got Portland
twice again, a little bit easier schedule, but they finished
with Denver, Minnesota, Golden State, Dallas. So neither of these
teams has a lot of winnable games off. In fact,
you could say they're each team only has two winnable
games left. You would need something biblical to happen, which

(19:31):
is Golden State to say, hey, we're resting everybody our
next to last game because we don't care. Right, everybody
is gonna sit. We're not gonna play anybody, right, Dallas
sitting Luca and everybody else on April tenth, the last
game of the regular season because everything is settled for
us and we don't care. Now, obviously that's that, you know,
that's to be determined, because teams could be playing for seating.
But right now, each of these teams has two games

(19:54):
that they can win and for the for the Spurs,
it's the next two games, and for the Lakers, it's
the game tomorrow night and the game next week again,
when when when they when they take on Oklahoma City.
That's it. These teams have to win these two games, right,
You're talking about a team that could really go too
and four in their last six games and make it
because if one of these teams loses one of these
other games, they're going one in five and that's sitting

(20:15):
there out. So really, two wins could could send one
of these teams to the playoffs. Because remember, these teams
both stink, But it's drama and it's Lebron and it's
what we have. So this is why it's a big deal. No,
And that's the best of it, though, isn't it that
as bad as these teams are at the back end,
it's just the the theater, the drama of these final

(20:37):
ten eleven days to see how poorly teams can play
and still find their way into the play in round
and then what happens from there. Because let's face it,
we've seen a hell of a lot of things in
our world at large, and certainly in our sporting world
that have made no sense over the last twelve to

(20:57):
twenty four months. So why get me to the edge
of the seat, load up a mini cooler and let's
go to work. Especially if Anthony Davis is able to
play and actually cobbled together six games down the stretch,
I'll take the under. But it does it is intriguing theater,
is it not. M hmm. You're thinking about two and four.

(21:19):
Two could be the magic number, the magic number of wins.
I didn't even have to get to three, which is
really the magic numbers, right man? Uh so again this
is where this is high drama in the NBA. Man. Look, look,
and if it didn't involve Lebron, it would be yeah
whatever now, but involves Lebron. Yeah, um oh, I mean
because people are still trying to make all their goat comparisons, like,

(21:42):
really find something else to talk about. Yeah, it's it's
it's it's really hard to fix out there. I can't
sit here and say Lebron should be the envy now
come on, the guy can't Look. If I said it
for Steph Curry last year, I gotta say it for
Lebron now that dude, you gotta be higher than than You.
Can't be fifteen games under five the m v P.
You can't do it. They could be fifteen games under

(22:04):
five without you, now maybe without you your games under
five hundred. But I'm sorry, I can't reward a team
when you're winning percentages in the high three. But they
would have spent they would have spent that salary on
a combo of players that might have actually yielded better results.
Hey man, someone's gotta say it. I'll do it. Bring

(22:24):
the hate at Swollen Dome, bring it Twitter at How
about a Fresca Mike at Swollen Dome? The Jason spid
Show with Mike Rmon got more in the NBA coming
up in a bit. But today Bruce Arians met the
media for the first time as the former head coach
of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Arians, who, of course, uh
stepped upstairs a day ago. He'll be in the Bucks

(22:44):
front office, Todd Bowles taking over. Uh former defensive coordinator
is now the new head coach. And we told you
last night. Look, this is a Brady power play. He
retired to show his leverage. I don't want to play
unless changes are made. I can retire I to play
for a different team. I could not play at all.
And the Bucks scattered figured out, Okay, what are we

(23:06):
gonna do? Brady starts dropping hints that maybe he's not
done and could keep playing in the NFL. This is
a week after his retirement, so you know Brady's retirement
is not real. It was strategic to get some kind
of outcome either himself to a different team. But when
the Bucks looked like that wasn't gonna happen, this was
now Bruce Arians can no longer be the head coach,

(23:27):
and that's exactly what happened Brady one. They came back
to him and said, what do you want? This is
what I want this one. This is the way I
want the team to run. Because we know there was
a lot of strife and drama between Brady and Bruce Arians.
And Brady went through it in New England. He's not
gonna do it again in Tampa Bay. So now he's
back and you know Bruce Arians got pushed out. But
then Bruce Arians spoke today and you're gonna hear a

(23:50):
little bit of what he had to say. And you're
gonna know if you didn't know last night when you
heard the show and congratulations all the shows today, that
that that took the takes from us and used to
hope you've had a lot of clicks um After the
next few minutes, you're gonna know. Okay, it clearly was
Bruce Arians getting pushed out. Right, This is first of all,
this is Arians retiring from the NFL, and he spent

(24:10):
the majority of his press conference talking about Brady didn't
push me out. My relationship with Tom Brady is great. Um,
you guys can write what you want all of these things.
If it really wasn't Tom Brady, you're not spending this
amount of time on the press conference talking about it.
You said, hey, listen, I retired, man, I'm done while
I'm walking away, and this is why I'm doing it,

(24:31):
and I'm I've finished. And you're not spending so much
time defending yourself, defending your decision about retiring instead of
coming back for one more year, unless you're trying to
stop a narrative from getting out there, right, Because if
you if you're really retiring for those reasons, I'm done
coaching and I could have done one more year, but

(24:51):
I really am finished. I want to set it up
for Todd Bowls. You're not spending all this time trying
to downplay everything, but he did, so that tells you
right away. You know they're trying to stop this narrative
from getting out. But mainly I want to get to
this part of it right because this is Bruce Arians
talking about how when he made his decision to retire,
and it was right around the time where Brady made

(25:14):
his decision to retire before unretired, thought about it after
the season, but again, it wasn't right going through the combine,
going through all that process, um trying to build next
year's team without Tom. And then when Tom said he
come back, now now it's easy. Now it's easy. We're
in the best shape we've ever been. It's no better

(25:35):
time to pass the tors And now I don't know
what February brings, all right, but I know what today brings,
and it makes me really happy. Okay, So Bruce Arians
are gonna have you believe that when Tom Brady announced
he was coming back, that's when he said, good, I
don't need to coach anymore. Really, you get into the
NFL as a coach to win Super Bowls, right, You

(25:58):
get into it. That's what you want to do. Want
to win. You're excited, you're excited to coach that you
get in to win. And if he decided to walk
away and Tom Brady wasn't playing well. That I get
because your team is gonna stake and you'll want to
be in the hook for it. But Brady's coming back.
You're a super Bowl favorite, alright, Caesar's already has you
in Vegas. Would at the highest over under for win

(26:19):
totals in the NFL this year, at eleven and a half.
This is when you walk away, not not when the
team stinks. I'm gonna walk away from a chance to
win the super Bowl one more time. Who does that?
Nobody does. Thirty one other coach in the NFL, as
much as they love their jobs, would say, hey, I'll
leave to Brady's gonna be there. Let me go. Let
me go there and coach because I want to try

(26:39):
to win more super Bowls. And if I have Tom Brady,
I have a better chance. And no matter who I
have that I'm coaching right now. Every other coach would
do it. Well, maybe Belichick win because he hates Brady,
but thirty other coaches would say, I want to go
do this. I can't wait. But now Arian says no, no, no, no, Now.
Succession is important. You're not gonna take one more chance
the super Bowl. You go through the entire office season. Right,

(27:00):
you go through the combine, you go through free agency,
and now you decide you want if you were really done,
you would have done it after the season. But you go,
why do you go through the combine and you go
through free agency and then say, oh, Tom's coming back.
None of that makes sense. It's just a story that's
being told. You know, Brady pushed him out because nobody
retires under those circumstances. Nobody walks away when we have

(27:22):
one more chance to win the Super Bowl. I I
get that they don't want that to be the narrative,
but I'm sorry, I'm not gonna be him an insider, right,
I don't need to worry about access to the Tampa
Bay Buccaneers like I'm watching on television saying here all
the insiders going, if you talk to Bruce arians you
know that this is exactly what he wants to do,
and no one's telling you what. No, No, I don't
I don't care. I don't care. I know I don't

(27:42):
need to worry about spinning a story because I I
want to make sure that Tampa Bay still returns my
phone calls where I can get a break on Tampa
and I can break a story. No, no, no no, I'll
tell you know what happened. You saw it all everything
with Tom Brady, the clues are always there and they
weren't even difficult clues to follow this time, and he
pushed arians out and today just confirmed it and he's

(28:03):
getting let off the hook or they are. And in
the end it doesn't matter. Yeah, no, in the moment,
it's it's fun theater, uh. And the timeline doesn't work right.
It's like any movie or television show you sit and
become a fan of and then you start thinking, well, no,
the timeline got blown up here in episode four. It's like,

(28:24):
you know, and you're waiting for Shatner to emerge and yell,
you nerds, go outside, you know, leave it alone, right
like he did in that famous Saturday Night Live skit
going after Trekky's. And then it began a feud uh
for many years because of that, not to mention the
one with Ben Mallor and his militia and anybody that
was affiliated with Ben Maller, including you're truly uh still blocked.

(28:47):
But just the idea of people are gonna go through
and they're gonna say, hey, wait this doesn't compute as
much as you you love the narrative of the succession plan, right,
and Todd Bowles, here's an opportunity to go in with
a good team, but walking away from it without any
type of animus like I. We had Rich Hornberger on
yesterday and his was the most plausible explanation two months ago,

(29:13):
and it remains the most plausible explanation in terms of
how this got solved and how the glitch got fixed.
Brady returns, Brady executes a bit of a power play.
Didn't mean that it was completely everybody getting to the
point where they want to throw their mugs or shot
glasses at each other. No, but still the alright, what's

(29:35):
best if we want Tom to come back and quarterback
our squad, you go upstairs left, which didn't get the
Jaguars job. So he's back. And even if they battled,
they could, they were still working when Dio the wee
hours of the night or whatever narrative you want to
buy on all of that too, But the point is
that you had stability in the coaching ranks, right, all

(29:57):
those folks that had been there, and you bring back
a bunch of stars that Brady went and recruited saying hey,
I'm coming home. Okay, cool? Right, when he called Evans
and Godwin and all these other guys, Yeah, I'll be back.
Hey Leonard, don't go signing with anybody else. I'm coming
back to play. Okay cool uh. And so in the end,
you know, he gets what he wants. Bruce arians gets

(30:19):
a lot of fluff pieces about his legacy, which I
don't mean to diminish at all. We've talked about it
for years here on the show. Jason right, all the
opportunities that he's made and the staffs he's assembled in
the amount of time that he spent showing up at
women in football clinics, and all the coaching hires and communication,

(30:39):
all great things going back to Arizona and and jobs
before that. But it doesn't wipe away what What's clear
that there's the the hiccup in the timeline of it
to be this altruistic one percent moved to the front off.

(31:49):
the Big Bucks Nets game to break down, because I'm
pretty sure we have a new leader in the clubhouse
for m v P. But and and a guy that
is salty as hell right now? Yes, yes, yeah, KB
is very very for many different reasons. Kate social media
on his actual blue check Mark account going after folks.
He's very upset. Yeah, he's having not even burner accounts

(32:12):
stuff like this is real KB stuff. He's using real
account now. Yeah. But a surprising outcome tonight in the
NBA as the Pistons use a big fourth quarter look,
the Pistons stink and they beat the Sixers one O
two ninety four. Right, a big night from Kate Cunningham.
He's got twenty seven for the Sixers. Joel Embiid was

(32:35):
thirty seven and fifteen. Not a great night from James Harden,
even though he was near a triple double, he shot
just four for fifteen. Now, the bench of the Sixers
did not have a great night. They you know, they
only scored eight points. And you know, look, the Sixers
bench usually is pretty decent. Doc Rivers gets the question
after the game about what the deal was tonight with

(32:57):
the team. What you know, we talked about the bench
different things and listened to him throw a certain someone
under the bus. Didn't play together to night at all.
That's something we've been doing. So it's just one of
those nights. But tough one. Struggle, Well, they didn't struggle. Um,
you know, they didn't get a lot of shots, you know,
in their defense. I think doing that stretch it was

(33:19):
more James you know, um, you know, than than them.
So no, um, yeah, it's just a tough night. Wow,
James Harton's fault. Well, but I mean he is right
though there were only twelve shots from the bench. Yeah, okay,
but now suddenly, oh hey, James Harden again, who had

(33:41):
a near triple double night, didn't shoot one. No, it
was more James anything. You gotta have a fall guy. Yeah,
you know what, Tell me the last time it's worked
making James Harden the fall guy for anything? Tell me
when not say Tell me when that's what I'm saying.
It's good for us Smith And I'm not talking about
the chemistry and Philly and the sabotaging of Joel Embiad's

(34:02):
m VP campaign. I'm not saying it's good for any
of that. Tell me when that's what James Harden is
someone who always is one second away from saying blank
this man, I don't care anymore. Right, that's what he does. Right? What?
What did? Katie had the story today that James Harden
said I'm gonna resign with the Nets and now he's
on the sixers, right, Um? Doc Rivers just doesn't learn

(34:25):
that you can You can't throw players under the bus
just because you want to. This is a different era
of the NBA, and he continues to do it, not
that he needed to take any blame for it, because
I'm not walking around going on this is Doc Rivers
fault tonight, you lost, right, it was a bad game.
You didn't have a big game against a team you
should have beaten, right, and it's a lost opportunity to
gain ground in the Eastern Conference because you still have

(34:47):
an outside shot at finishing with one of the top seats.
But now, no, now I'm gonna go and say this
was this was on James. Wow, that's not gonna work, man.
James Harden is someone who was going to then just quit,
go on a shell, say blank this why am I here?
I don't even want to be here. I mean, you
gotta keep the honeymoon peering with James Harden going because
it's only gonna be this year in the playoffs. Then

(35:08):
things are gonna be awful in the fall, because that's
how it works for James Harten Doc. Rivers just doesn't
get it. He doesn't get how to relate to players
and how to just not cause controversy by saying you
it's your fault. My favorite is uh the text we
got from Frostburg that that encapsulates the beautiful beautifully, He'll
lose a power struggle because in be is gonna be

(35:30):
mad and Harden's bad and that means he becomes the
coach of the Lakers. When they fire Frank Vocogle, Doc
coming back, everybody, Doc's gonna be on like that. I'm
gonna go coach Lebron. I'll tell you it's Lebron's fault.
It's Eight's fault. It's not my fat like it, it's theory.
It's Taylor Horton Tucker's fault. It's not my fault. Coming

(35:50):
up next, more nfl Over unders from today, Keep it here, Fox,
