How you doing.
Speaker 2 (00:12):
Guess what day it is? Guess what day it is?
Jesus Christ, Oh God, we just cannot get things right. Man,
good morning. How are you this morning? Jess?
Speaker 1 (00:22):
I'm good. I'm good and tired, but I'm very good.
Speaker 2 (00:24):
I'm up. I am, I am blessed, black and holly favor,
but happy to be here another day to serve our
beautiful listeners. Why are you talking? You don't go to
better the decent time?
Speaker 3 (00:31):
Like, Man, No, I'm telling you that my daughter is
teething and she's in a clingy stage where she wants
nobody but me, and it's it's a.
Speaker 1 (00:39):
Lot who else you supposed to want? I'm just saying her.
She got a boller right there, right there, crawl over
there but me.
Speaker 4 (00:48):
It's all mommy, mommy, mommy.
Speaker 2 (00:50):
So you up? What do you do?
Speaker 1 (00:52):
When I went to sleep?
Speaker 3 (00:55):
Like she wakes up every hour on hour, so like
she don't go right back to sleep. So I was
watching Steve Harvey The Steve Harvey Show until like four o'clock.
Speaker 2 (01:03):
When we say Steve Harvey Show, you mean actual TV
show a family feud.
Speaker 1 (01:06):
No, no, the TV show Family Feud.
Speaker 2 (01:09):
I don't know. I think that might be known as
the Steve Harvey Show.
Speaker 3 (01:12):
But now I'm talking about the sitcom from back in
the day. Man, they had like reruns or whatever. So
I went to sleep at nine, then I woke up
at ten, went to sleep at eleven, woke up at one,
and then it was up.
Speaker 1 (01:22):
Since then, you.
Speaker 2 (01:22):
Don't put nothing on the baby gums. They used to say,
what put put some type of liquor on the baby
gums when the room.
Speaker 3 (01:27):
No I came here and extra when she first started
to see them, he was like, don't do that.
Speaker 1 (01:31):
Don't do that.
Speaker 2 (01:32):
We can't raise our babies the way we grew up.
That's why we retarded.
Speaker 1 (01:37):
Now, No, we ain't. Don't try to put me into
your boat. You was in that.
Speaker 2 (01:41):
Class, we'd have been in the same class.
Speaker 1 (01:45):
Know we wouldn't them.
Speaker 3 (01:47):
But the origin out that stuff wears off too quick,
and then there's some other type of ointment for the
baby's gums. All that stuff wears off and then she'd
be like, oh, but I see them cutting third the bottom.
Speaker 1 (01:58):
So I'm like, I just I can't wait.
Speaker 2 (02:00):
Well, welcome to motherhood. At least, you know, at least
you don't have the nine year old who you know,
how the kids don't nothing be wrong with the kids.
So they go to sleep, and then when they go
to sleep, everything act, they act like everything wrong. They
had heard, they stump. They're running around playing all day long, mind,
you know, but all of a sudden, when it's time
for everybody to go to sleep, everything hurts, and so
(02:22):
daddy got to get up in the morning at four
in the morning. So you just you know, once once
that little bit of rim sleep hit and then one
person interrupts you. When you wake up, you up. You're
never gonna get that good, good deep sleep again for
the rest of the night.
Speaker 1 (02:34):
Absolutely, But they get over on you. So they do that.
But you they ain't gonna do that with their mother.
Speaker 2 (02:37):
Hey man, you know what, though, God blessed fatherhood, God
blessed motherhood too, I'd rather that than any alternative.
Speaker 1 (02:43):
Exactly.
Speaker 2 (02:44):
Will I Am is gonna be here this morning? Will
I Am? And taboo? Two thirds of the Black Eyed Peace?
Do you say two thirds are two foalse could we confertty?
Speaker 1 (02:51):
No, she's been out of there.
Speaker 2 (02:52):
Okay, it's well two out of three of the Black
Eyed Peas will I am and Taboo will be here.
They have a new single, East La, which is paying
homage to East La where they are from, and they
are speaking out about, you know, the ice raids and
a lot of other things. So they'll be here this
morning to talk about that record. And we got front
page News coming up next with Morgan Woods. What's the
first song we playing? Man? And I tried to light
(03:13):
my candles here we go.
Speaker 1 (03:15):
I was gonna say, it's probably gonna be.
Speaker 2 (03:20):
Klani and who.
Speaker 1 (03:22):
I get in? And is that?
Speaker 5 (03:25):
You know?
Speaker 6 (03:25):
Like that?
Speaker 2 (03:26):
Okay?
Speaker 7 (03:27):
Every day morning, everybody's DJ NV, Jess Hilarius, Charlamagne, the guy,
we are the breakfast club.
Speaker 8 (03:33):
Good morning, let's get in some front page start.
Speaker 2 (03:36):
Talking like you've been here the whole time. Good morning,
said good morning, good morning morning. He just walked in.
How are you?
Speaker 7 (03:43):
I said, good morning? Okay, when you and you were late,
do you say good morning?
Speaker 9 (03:46):
Yes?
Speaker 2 (03:47):
I said, good morning. What's late?
Speaker 5 (03:50):
Good morning?
Speaker 10 (03:51):
Good morning?
Speaker 11 (03:51):
How are you feeling on a Wednesday?
Speaker 5 (03:54):
Good? Yeah?
Speaker 11 (03:55):
I like it all right.
Speaker 3 (03:56):
So, first off front page, it seems like we have
an update in that viral video case that's out of Jacksonville, Florida. Now,
the sheriff in Jacksonville is warning people not to jump
to conclusions about an arrest that has gone viral.
Speaker 11 (04:08):
A cell phone.
Speaker 3 (04:09):
Video posted on social media shows the traffic stop involving
William McNeil junior five months ago. The video went viral
over the weekend after viewers saw Jacksonville Sheriff's Office officer
punch McNeil. Now, Jacksonville Sheriff TK Waters released the bodycam
video because he doesn't want the viral video to create
a narrative that leads to skewed conclusions. Let's take a
(04:32):
listen to the bodycam version of the video that or
parts of that that was not shown in McNeil's recording.
Speaker 12 (04:40):
A reason why you popped the door? But like that
if that words, yeah, absolutely, there's a reason why I'm
ploying over the one thing in inclement. Whether you don't
have no lights on two things, you're all wearing your seatbelts, three.
Speaker 9 (04:52):
Don't need a light not it's not.
Speaker 13 (04:55):
Okay.
Speaker 14 (04:56):
I'm not arguing to you.
Speaker 12 (04:56):
I'm telling you why I'm going he over, give me
your driver'sizes, registration for supervisor.
Speaker 9 (05:02):
Excuse me, why something put the dog?
Speaker 2 (05:08):
Driver told you, how did you put me over?
Speaker 9 (05:11):
Step out of here?
Speaker 2 (05:12):
Step out of here? I mean he said, don't jump
the conclusion. But the only conclusion was that the police
was wild and like you know, no lights on and
no seat belt was no reason to do all that. Now,
you know, the guy kept asking why did you pull
me over? The officer told you, I feel like the
guy could have cooperated a little bit more, but that's
still don't mean that. You know, the policeol have escalated
(05:33):
the situation to that level.
Speaker 3 (05:34):
And that's why I already heard that. I think we
I thought that was already like we heard that, and
I still feel the same way. He shouldn't have put
his hands on.
Speaker 7 (05:41):
But the thing was is, you know, when when the
cop gave him an order right give him his license,
he didn't want to give his license. He said, call
your supervisor, right, which they did. Now the cop still
has to make sure that the man is is safe
and unarmed, a right, so they asked me to get
off the car. The problem I see with the videos
is when he punched him to the window. Yes, yes,
because he was he was.
Speaker 2 (06:04):
Not fighting down. Maybe that's the problem hewed the video.
That's the problem. We all through the video was a bunch.
Speaker 7 (06:09):
Of different things and why they pulled them out. They
pulled them out to detain them into the supervisor came.
Speaker 8 (06:12):
But that was the only proble.
Speaker 2 (06:13):
They shouldn't have punchedhim in the face. But they broke
his window. They broke through his windows. But he went
over to the door.
Speaker 8 (06:18):
He said his window was broken, he went open the door.
Speaker 3 (06:20):
I still don't feel like that's no reason for cop
That's essentially what you know, officers in the Sheriff's office
is saying is that he wasn't compliant with sheriff's orders.
Speaker 4 (06:27):
Now Sheriff T. K.
Speaker 3 (06:28):
Waters also spoke about the incident during a recent press conference,
saying that one video clip, void of context, can be
very misleading. He says McNeil never brought this to the
attention of JSO officers, so he only assumes that McNeil
intended to outrage the public.
Speaker 11 (06:43):
Let's take a listen to his comments during a recent
press conference.
Speaker 15 (06:46):
The administrative process is still ongoing, and as such, I
will neither defend nor command ultra bira's response to resistance
until all the facts are known and the investigation is completed. However,
as a leader of this agency, I will not remain
is all important facts and information are buried to advance
an anti police agenda. The truth is William McNeil Jr.
(07:08):
Was non compliant with JSO officers within twenty one seconds
after he was stopped for multiple civil infractions. His non
compliance quickly rose to the level of criminal resistance to
a police officer. Mcfeil was arrested and pled guilty to
resisting a police officer without violence. Force absolutely looks ugly,
and because all forces ugly, whether or not the officer
involved acted within outside JSUL policy, that's still what we're investigating.
Speaker 2 (07:31):
Well, what are the facts, like, what context could you
add to that video to where we feel that's all right?
Non compliance leads the shattered windows and the punch in
the face, But the punching the faces is the main
problem because he wasn't being violent. He wasn't he wasn't
swinging back, he wasn't doing anything, he wasn't resisting, his
hands were up. There was no reason to punch him
in the face. I don't think it was window either,
but it wouldn't you have the call and it would
(07:52):
open the door.
Speaker 7 (07:53):
So they so what they got. They got to assume
the worst. But they shouldn't punch him in the.
Speaker 2 (07:56):
Face, bring them back up, shattered the window to punched
the face. Yeah, he shouldn't have been punched in the face.
Speaker 3 (08:02):
Waters adds that the two officers involved aren't facing criminal charges,
but the incident, of course, is being investigated internally. McNeil
is being represented by civil rights attorneys Ban Crump and
Harry Daniels. Now, the incident left him with a chip tooth,
nine stitches in his lip, and a concussion, and a
knife was found in his car. So court records also
indicate he pleaded guilty to resisting police without violence and
(08:25):
driving on a suspended license.
Speaker 2 (08:26):
Well, see that was the thing. That's why he was
non compliant because you know, he didn't know his license
was suspe correct. But that still does not mean he
should have got his window shattered and got punched in
the face. But you know, he was being difficult because
he knew he was riding dirty. You know how I
got a suspended license because the officer did tell him
why you got pulled up? You got pulled over because
you didn't have a seat belt in your light light
(08:47):
was light?
Speaker 1 (08:48):
Was that in deb conditions or something?
Speaker 2 (08:50):
But that's the whole point.
Speaker 7 (08:51):
If an office supposed you over and you asked for
your license and you don't want to give your license,
what do they assume that the reason you don't want
to give your license because you have a warrant or
there's something wrong. He said he didn't have a seatbelt on.
That's he didn't have daytime running lights on. They asked
for your licensed registration. He didn't want to provide it, right,
so they tried to pull him out, but punch him
in his face was total.
Speaker 3 (09:09):
He asked to see the law as well. Didn't he didn't.
He request let me let me see that law.
Speaker 4 (09:13):
Law up right?
Speaker 1 (09:14):
Pull the law.
Speaker 2 (09:14):
Funny thing he said, called my supervisor, my supervisor. Your
life is still gonna suspended with my supervisor.
Speaker 11 (09:21):
All right, Pa, that's your page news for six am.
Speaker 3 (09:23):

Speaker 2 (10:38):
So who used to hang in Ampton locals?
Speaker 17 (10:40):

Speaker 5 (10:45):

Speaker 17 (12:08):
Take congratulations to him and get my testimony.
Speaker 5 (12:12):
Man, I went, I beating that cancer three times. Man.
I've been cleaned for like three years now. You know
what I mean. You know, I fought like a ten
percent basis as far as me getting it back. But
I mean, I just wanted to tell people don't give up.
You know, it's a good fight. Man.
Speaker 17 (12:28):
You know it's not a destinence. You know what I mean?
Speaker 2 (12:31):
Right, brother, you can do it well. God bless you
brother three times.
Speaker 5 (12:34):
Man.
Speaker 2 (12:34):
God is with you, sir.
Speaker 5 (12:35):
Come on, man, I believe it too, bro, and I
appreciate you. Man. I love y'all.
Speaker 2 (12:39):
Man, y'all to man, Hello, who's this?
Speaker 17 (12:43):
This is Felicia.
Speaker 2 (12:44):
Thanks Felicia.
Speaker 8 (12:44):
Good morning, get it off your chest.
Speaker 10 (12:46):
Good morning, Good morning to everybody. I just want to
say I want to give off my chest. I've been
blind now for seven years, and I never knew that
there was such proper, improper etiquette when it comes to
people like I met a doctor's appointment and my ins
court standing beside me, and the intake persons like does
(13:06):
she know her social Security number? Absolutely? I'm standing right
here just because I'm blind, I'm not deaf.
Speaker 14 (13:12):
Wow yeah damn yeah.
Speaker 10 (13:14):
So I'm at a restaurant and they're like, well, what
does she having to drink? I'm like, hey, I'm right here.
Speaker 5 (13:18):
You can ask me when I.
Speaker 10 (13:19):
Haven't you drink?
Speaker 6 (13:20):
Right?
Speaker 10 (13:21):
You know, I just want it out there that just
because I'm blind doesn't mean I'm incapable. It doesn't mean
my death, it doesn't slow you know.
Speaker 2 (13:29):
Just so ironically you went blind, but then people stop
seeing you.
Speaker 10 (13:34):
Absolutely and as if the drum traumatization of it wasn't,
you know, impacting enough. It kind of reimpacts me when
they do such rude things as talk over me or
talk like I can't talk for myself.
Speaker 2 (13:48):
You should you should tell them, you should be like,
excuse me, I'm the one. I'm the one who can't see. Okay,
you you you standing right here? You can see me absolutely.
Speaker 10 (13:57):
Like I was at the restaurant one time. The guy
I asked my friend like, excuse me? She blind? And
I was like, yes, I am why He was like, oh,
were you so beautiful? I just want to pay for
your food. I was like, okay, thank you.
Speaker 11 (14:09):
I mean that one wasn't that bad that way, that
wasn't that bad.
Speaker 10 (14:13):
But he could have asked me instead of asking her.
So I just want to try to put it out
there like this. Because the person is blind doesn't mean
they're helpless or incapable of asking the simplest question.
Speaker 2 (14:23):
Well, did you get the guy's number? He just brought
you food? Like what happened?
Speaker 5 (14:27):
He just bought me.
Speaker 17 (14:29):
He just bought me food.
Speaker 10 (14:30):
He turned out to be a pastor. He was like,
he was really nice, so he wanted me to have
a good day and whatnot.
Speaker 2 (14:35):
So all they make plans to see each other again.
Speaker 8 (14:38):
Okay, so you're trying to get me to the pastor.
Speaker 2 (14:44):
Yeah, yes, absolutely, what you calling for, Mama, I'm calling
from North Carolina. Okay, Well, blessings to you, sister South Carolina.
You know.
Speaker 10 (14:59):
I love you now Instagram and Facebook.
Speaker 18 (15:03):
You want to say how you see that you were
about to say that, but you know what she said.
Seven years, four years of my career.
Speaker 1 (15:15):
Thank you so much.
Speaker 15 (15:16):
I love you.
Speaker 10 (15:17):
I love you too, and I love y'all. I hope
you have a great day.
Speaker 8 (15:20):
You're a police officer from Jersey.
Speaker 13 (15:23):
Yes, sir, I just wanted to give a comment about
the situation. But the traffic stop, let's do it now,
just just to just to clarify. When the officer explained
to him the reason for the stop is no headlights
on and inclement weather. You know, I heard Charlet Maine
in a few minutes ago say that's not a reason
to stop somebody it. Actually, that's not what I said.
Speaker 2 (15:42):
I did not say that. I said there's no I
said there's no reason for that to escalate the violence,
non compliance, compliance, And I didn't say that's not a
reason to stop. I actually said that when the officer
asked him. When he asked the officer why he stopped him,
the officer told him why he stopped him. He say that, yeah, okay, okay, So.
Speaker 13 (16:03):
You're saying it's not a reason to escalate. So when
the doors the dude slammed the door closed, he escalated
the situation. If your window doesn't work. To keep in mind,
kicking your door open on the traffic stop, that automatically
raises the alertness on the officer because that's not normal.
Speaker 2 (16:19):
Oh, I didn't know he slammed the door. I didn't
know he slammed it. I never knew he even opened
the door.
Speaker 13 (16:23):
First, you gotta watch the video because a lot of
times people see that cell phone video and they automatically
assume the cops are wrong. No, there's other video of
that traffic stop.
Speaker 16 (16:35):
But let me ask you a question.
Speaker 2 (16:36):
That can punch him in the face, And that's why
I said.
Speaker 8 (16:39):
I said breaking the window, understand, But I asked about
the punch in the face.
Speaker 2 (16:42):
Now, what do you think.
Speaker 7 (16:43):
That's what I thought was too far because he wasn't
being violent now, breaking the window to get him out
to unlock the door, he wasn't being violent.
Speaker 8 (16:49):
But that punching, that initial punch in the face, that
was a little absolutely.
Speaker 13 (16:53):
So this is my thing, right, I've been a law
enforced officerfer just seventeen years. I'm an African American man,
I'm an African American father before anything, but I can
give you the perspective of an African American man in
the country as well as an African American officer in
this country. And what I agree that punch in the
face was absolutely unwarranted. That was that was personal frustration.
(17:17):
That was unnecessary. I wholeheartedly agree. But let's keep it
real absolutely because if that was my son or if
that was me, I'd be absolutely pissed off because that
was personal frustration. That's not something that's protocol. They don't
teach you that in the academy, to punch you in
the face with someone who's non combatist. Now, I will say, though,
(17:38):
Charlotteage again in New Jersey, the reason for the traffic
stop in Florida is just like here in New Jersey,
when there's inclement weather, if your head your wipers are on,
your headlights have to be on.
Speaker 9 (17:50):
That is a law.
Speaker 2 (17:51):
Why are you telling me this? I don't have a
problem with that. I literally said, when the officer when
when he kept afking the officer, why are you stopping me?
The officer told him said it was your lights was
out in your seat belt wasn't. Though he didn't want
to give over his license, he.
Speaker 7 (18:06):
Slammed, I don't I don't have I don't have a
problem with it and that to put and at that point,
I'm sure officers have to assume the words he wouldn't
give his license, He slams the door, They broke the
window to detain them the face.
Speaker 13 (18:18):
There are people who have driven on suspended license normally,
like I said, you get a ticket for that. People
are driven without insurance and they get a ticket for that.
Speaker 2 (18:29):
You do in New York.
Speaker 13 (18:31):
It depends on the know you're practice. If you're a
repeat offender, absolutely, but I will say for sure people
need to understand. And I tell my friends that the
street is the officer's courtroom. Take it easy, talk to them.
You don't have to slam the door car your supervisor
because just like you said at charlamade him calling the
supervisor your license still suspended?
Speaker 2 (18:51):
Jack, how you heard that?
Speaker 16 (18:52):
But you heard me?
Speaker 2 (18:52):
But you big? You said I said something I didn't say.
I agree with you. I don't.
Speaker 9 (18:57):
I listen.
Speaker 2 (18:57):
I don't think that that that brother handled that situation
correctly in no way, shape or form.
Speaker 5 (19:02):
I don't.
Speaker 14 (19:02):
I don't.
Speaker 2 (19:02):
I don't even see it.
Speaker 9 (19:03):
Well.
Speaker 2 (19:04):
At first, I did not see a reason why he
wasn't being compliant, No, no, why he wasn't being compliant.
But now I see, Oh, he had a suspended license.
That's why he wasn't being compliant.
Speaker 7 (19:13):
Now you said the glass too, but I said, I
under you know you also said he had a problem
breaking the class.
Speaker 2 (19:18):
I understood why they broke the glass.
Speaker 5 (19:20):
Yeah, exactly.
Speaker 13 (19:21):
And I appreciate the HIV because, like Charlemagne, you have
to understand that the estimation of the situation was due
to the driver. The auficer didn't walk up on some
some he man stuff.
Speaker 5 (19:31):
He explained the.
Speaker 13 (19:32):
Reason for the stop. We don't have to tell you
two or three times.
Speaker 2 (19:36):
Why how many times I got to said that.
Speaker 5 (19:38):
It's the first time.
Speaker 2 (19:38):
I understand. I don't disagree with you. Thank you, SLF wow.
I think people do you want to argue with me
early in the morning before they have brek. I don't
disagree with him, I don't disagree with him.
Speaker 19 (19:50):
But the funny thing is charlam made said I don't
disagree with you, and it kept going with your wife
and be like, I'm sorry, you just keep going because
I never said it. I didn't say he got stopped
for no reason. Yeah, no, I understand why he got stopped,
but I and I also feel like he should have
been more compliant, but I also don't feel like the office.
Speaker 7 (20:13):
Yes, that's what we said. All right, get it off
your chest. Eight hundred five eighty five one o five one.
Speaker 2 (20:18):
Now we got the latest.
Speaker 8 (20:19):
Lauren coming up with love.
Speaker 1 (20:20):
Lauren Hey, good morning, Yes, hey, we do.
Speaker 20 (20:23):
There are new details in the tragic passing of Malcolm
Jamarow Warner and efforts that took place to save his life.
So we're gonna talk about it a bit this morning.
Speaker 2 (20:30):
All right, we'll get to that next. It's the Breakfast Club.
Good morning, the Breakfast Club. Good morning everybody.
Speaker 7 (20:38):
It's DJ n V, Jesse, Hilarry Charlamage the guy. We
are the Breakfast Club. Let's get to the latest with Lauren.
Speaker 1 (20:44):
Lauren becoming a straight fast.
Speaker 8 (20:47):
She gets them from somebody that knows somebody detail.
Speaker 1 (20:50):
I'm a homegirl that knows a little bit about everything.
Speaker 2 (20:53):
She'd be having the latest on it.
Speaker 9 (20:55):
I'm the biggest and just the latest with Lauren la Rosa.
Speaker 2 (20:59):
Some times you have details, sometimes you have a little
bit of everything.
Speaker 9 (21:02):
The lead on the Breakfast clouds, So there.
Speaker 20 (21:06):
Are new details in the tragic passing of Malcolm Jamal Warner. Yesterday, Envy,
you asked me about the second person who was left
in critical condition from this incident as well from from
Malcolm's drowning incident. So People magazine is exclusively reporting that
the second person who was taken by ambulance to the
hospital and was in critical condition was actually a person
(21:28):
not related to Malcolm Jamal Warner, but it was a
person that was there, saw what was happening and jumped
in to try and save Malcolm Jamal Warner. Now this person,
as far as like their actual identity, has not been
shared with People, but they did confirm that there was
no personal connection between this person and Warner, and they
say that basically, when Malcolm vaon Warner I guess was
(21:50):
swimming in the currents and we're taking them down and
all things were happening, this person and other bystanders on
the beach happen to see it, but they were a
bit too late to try and save them, even though
once they pulled him out of the water, they did
attempt to do CPR for twenty minutes, but he was
declared dead at the scene.
Speaker 1 (22:07):
Yeah, and there was another report too. I saw TMZ.
Speaker 2 (22:13):
He's a hero, yes, you know, even though you know
he attempted just the fact that you see somebody else
in danger and you attempt to help them. Yeah. Absolutely, absolutely, yes.
Speaker 20 (22:22):
One hundred percent. There was another report by TMZ just
about because people were wondering why weren't there any guards
or patrol or anything on the beach as well, and
why bystanders, people who weren't like official lifeguards had to
get involved. So there was a report by TMZ that
there were no lifeguards on duty. Actually, uh, there's a
(22:43):
group called the Caribbean Guard and this is a group
of lifeguards and people who patrol beaches. They released a
statement yesterday they say we deeply regret the passing of
Malcolm Jamal Warner and Player Grande. He was swept away
by a strong rip current and died from drowning. They
mentioned that they do typically patrol the area because of
how crazy the currents and the water gets in that area,
(23:05):
but that Sunday specifically, they did not patrol the area,
but they have been They had put out people in
different officials in the area and other surrounding areas, and
they up their warnings following this. But they did send
a rest in peace, and you know, I guess I
just wanted to send some kind words, but wanted to explain.
Speaker 2 (23:23):
Is it true that he got up for early morning swim?
Speaker 20 (23:25):
That's what it will so, yes, there are reports that
he got up for early morning swim and that this
happened right after sunrise.
Speaker 2 (23:31):
Listen, if you you know, you go on vacation, you know,
to these Caribbean islands, like that's that's what I like
to do. Get up early in the morning and go
jump in the water early solo I do. I do
it all the time.
Speaker 7 (23:42):
That's what I would do. I get up afraid I
kid to get up or before the wife gets up.
But I would go swimming. I'm a swimming so I
would go swimming. You know, I'm not a swim at all.
I'm a walker in water. When I go in the water,
you can't touch the ground.
Speaker 1 (23:54):
Okay, I'm not.
Speaker 2 (23:55):
Going no farther than that. Yes, soon as my little
he can't touch the ground. You like pool No, actually
like those. I just like shallow.
Speaker 1 (24:02):
We just don't go past a certain tote. Yeah.
Speaker 20 (24:07):
And another thing too that the Caribbean guards said is
that this was one of the most challenging. It's known
as one of the most challenging beaches because it's the
beach known for local surfers. So they did have signs
in English and Spanish warning of danger of drowning other things,
but there were no guards there at the time.
Speaker 7 (24:23):
And they tell you that if you ever get caught
in the riptide, the worst thing to do is try
to swim away from.
Speaker 2 (24:27):
It because it pulls you in and you use your energy.
Speaker 7 (24:29):
It said, either let it pull you in, hold your breath,
let it pull you in, or swim parallel to the
actual way you're going, because it.
Speaker 2 (24:37):
Don't take you under, right, it just takes you out.
It could take.
Speaker 3 (24:42):
Yeah, it depends, Yeah, definitely take you under and then
the water is so like we can't beat water.
Speaker 1 (24:49):
No no, no, no, no, no, yes.
Speaker 20 (24:51):
And and it was his his wife actually larded authority
Charlottete after Malcolm Jamal Water went out for that swim
after summrise. He hadn't returned for over an hour, so
she then alerted authorities. So yeah, and Ravens Simone actually,
because I know a lot of people were wondering how
Ravens Simone is doing. And you know, miss Felicia Rashad.
Raven Simone posted yesterday to our Instagram remembering Malcolm, let's
(25:13):
say a listen.
Speaker 21 (25:14):
Words cannot describe the pain and sadness and surprise that
I feel with the recent loss of MJW. He was
the big brother, He was a beacon. He was one
of the most multifaceted talented men. So gentle and my
(25:35):
heart and soul and hugs and kisses go out to
his daughter and his wife and his mother. He gave
the best advice, he gave the best hugs, and his
smile will always be a huge, bright white smile my
head forever. I love you, and I know you're watching
(25:59):
over all of us.
Speaker 16 (26:00):
Now.
Speaker 2 (26:02):
That brother, Malcolm Jamal Warner was was, you know, intentionally
trying to be the best version of himself at all times.
He was intentional with his art and how he showed
up in the world Like that's that. That is what
I always saw from Malcolm Jamal Water.
Speaker 1 (26:16):
Yeah, it's very sad, very many, extremely.
Speaker 2 (26:20):
Man all right, Well that is the latest with Lauren.
Speaker 7 (26:22):
Now when we come back, we got front page news
and don't forget next out will I am and Taboo
from the Black Eyed Peas.
Speaker 2 (26:28):
To be joining us. It's the Breakfast Club the morning morning.
Speaker 7 (26:30):
Everybody is the j envy, just hilarious, charlamage the god
we are the breakfast club.
Speaker 8 (26:35):
Let's get back in some front page news. What's up, Morgan, Hey.
Speaker 3 (26:39):
You always like to get into sports first. Did you
hear about Venus Williams. You know she's back on the
tennis court. Well, she is now the second oldest woman
to win a tour level singles match and a professional
tennis The forty five year old tennis legend defeated Peyton
Sterns and straight sets in the DC Open yesterday, her
first singles win in almost two years, and the only
older woman to have done that is Martina Navra Telova
(27:03):
and at age forty seven. Now Williams takes on the
fifth seeded Magdalena Frank in the second round on Thursday.
Speaker 1 (27:10):
So ye should chat that.
Speaker 2 (27:11):
I haven't heard about that, No way, I ain't know
Venus was back on the court.
Speaker 7 (27:13):
I've seen it this morning, but I didn't know what
I seemed like the interviewing, know, but I thought it
was some old but I thought she was tired.
Speaker 11 (27:18):
But who got yes, tough, yeah, pretty much.
Speaker 3 (27:21):
But she decided to come back to the DC Open
and she's doing pretty well, so that's all right, so
in presidential news, Trump says the US has reached a
trade agreement with Japan. At a White House event last night,
Trumps outed the deal, which includes a fifteen percent tariff
on Japan's exports to the US. He out of the
country will also invest five hundred and fifty billion dollars
(27:42):
into the US and what he called perhaps the largest
deal ever made. Let's take a listen to President Trump's
current comments regarding this deal.
Speaker 22 (27:49):
We worked on it long and hard, and it's a
great deal for everybody. I always say it has to
be great for everybody. It's a great deal. But we're
doing really well as a country. Were strong, we have
a lot of money flowing in. The tariffs are kicked
in better than anybody other than me and a few
of the people in the room thought could happen.
Speaker 3 (28:08):
So the fifteen percent trif rate is well below the
twenty five percent rate that the Trump administration had initially
threatened in a letter to Japan earlier this month. So
that's good news on trade and international affairs. Meanwhile, President
Trump claims the intelligence community caught Obama cold. While speaking
in the Oval Office with reporters, Trump touched on the
(28:29):
criminal referral connected to the Obama era officials and their
reports of Russian interference in the twenty sixteen presidential election.
He claimed former President Obama and his administration tried to
interfere with the twenty sixteen presidential election.
Speaker 11 (28:43):
Let's take a listen to those comments from President Trump.
Speaker 2 (28:46):
This was every word you can think of.
Speaker 6 (28:49):
They tried to steal the election, they tried to obfuscate
the election. They did things that nobody's ever even imagined,
even in other countries. So we found absolutely this isn't
like evidence or that this is like proof, irrefutable proof
that Obama was sedacious, that Obama was trying to lead
(29:13):
the coup, and it was with Hillary Clinton, with all
these other people.
Speaker 2 (29:17):
Don't let them turn the channel. Okay, what about the
Steam files, Presidentster President.
Speaker 9 (29:24):
Files.
Speaker 3 (29:25):
National Director of Intelligence Tulsea Gabbard alleged the Obama's White
House led an effort to manufacture intelligence that Russia interfered
and has since made a criminal referral to the Department
of Justice.
Speaker 11 (29:37):
Trump said he believes the allegations against.
Speaker 3 (29:39):
Obama, adding Gabbart has thousands of documents, and to your point, Charlemagne, speaking.
Speaker 8 (29:44):
Of documents, but you know what.
Speaker 2 (29:45):
I also don't understand why he keeps bringing that up
about President Obama. But because of the Supreme Court. The
Supreme Court didn't they grant president's broad immunity for a
lot of official acts that places presidents above the law. Well,
President Barack Obama was the president. So even if you
are trying to say that he did something you know
(30:05):
nefarious and none you can do about it because of
what your Supreme Court has done.
Speaker 11 (30:10):
All right, Clockett.
Speaker 3 (30:11):
But speaking of those documents, Bernice King, the youngest daughter
of the late doctor Martin Luther King Junior, is urging
officials to unveil files connected to Jeffrey Epstein. King issued
a call soon after Director of National Intelligence Tulcy Gabbert
published over two hundred and thirty thousand pages of information
related to King's death in nineteen sixty eight. Now, King's
youngest daughter shared a photo of her father on ex
(30:32):
with the caption saying, now do the Epstein files. The
King family has condemned any attempts to misuse these documents
in a way intended to undermine the legacy of the
civil rights icon. Now this comes as the House is
going on its August recess. Early lawmakers were set to
hold votes on Thursday, but that will no longer happen
because motions from Democrats related to the Jeffrey Epstein files
(30:56):
could have forced Republicans to vote on the matter and
whether or not to release them. So how Speaker Mike
Johnson said, there's no purpose for Congress to push the administration.
Speaker 11 (31:05):
To do something they're already doing, and federal judges are.
Speaker 3 (31:09):
Seeking more information before determining if courts will unseal grand
jury transcripts in the case related to Jeffrey Epstein. It
comes as after the Justice Department and FBI has faced
increased scrutiny to release those files. Deputy Attorney General Todd
Blanche requested the transcripts be unsealed with redactions of victim
related and other personal identifying information. Now, judges excuse me,
(31:34):
are asking the DOJ to lay out its arguments in
writing more thoroughly by July twenty ninth, while submissions from Gilain,
Maxwell's or Epstein's representatives as well as they're victims, are
due by August fifth. So it looks like Congress is
going to get a little bit of a break around
August on recess and maybe back in August or as
(31:55):
August continues, we will see something or some more movement
with the Epstein file, but as of right now things
are tabled and paused.
Speaker 11 (32:03):
But that's your front page news. I'm Morgan Wood.
Speaker 3 (32:05):
Y'all can follow me on to socials at Morgan Media

Speaker 8 (32:14):
Thank y'all, Thank you all.
Speaker 7 (32:16):
Right now, when we come back, Will I Am and
Taboo will be joining us, of course from the Black
Eyed Peas, and we're gonna talk to them about their
new single East La and everything that they got going
on it.
Speaker 8 (32:26):
So don't go anywhere. It's the Breakfast Club. Good morning,
the Breakfast Club.
Speaker 9 (32:32):
Morning.
Speaker 7 (32:33):
Everybody is DJ n V, Jess Hilarious, Charlamagne, the gud.
We are the Breakfast Club. We got some special guests
in the building, guys, Will I Am a table, Welcome fellas.
Speaker 1 (32:43):
What's up?
Speaker 8 (32:43):
How you feeling.
Speaker 14 (32:44):
It's good to be here, Good to see you.
Speaker 2 (32:46):
Man, y'all got the new record out of East l A. Yeah,
talk to us about that, man, I'm.
Speaker 1 (32:50):
Sorry, I.
Speaker 2 (32:54):
Appreciate.
Speaker 23 (32:55):
Yeah, obviously we sampled Carlos Santana, So thank you for
clearing that.
Speaker 14 (33:03):
It's been sampled a bunch. But there's a part in
the song where he says Maria, Maria fell in love
with East La.
Speaker 23 (33:11):
So I just wanted to like highlight that part of
the song and shout out the community that's being hit
pretty hard by the ice raids. And what's beautiful about
that is uh. I also got a I also got
a text from why Cliff saying he's a producer of
(33:31):
the song, like, yo, let me get a clip of
the video so I could post that.
Speaker 14 (33:36):
So that that meant a lot.
Speaker 23 (33:39):
But what's going on in our communities, it's pretty harsh.
And I'm all for, you know, making sure our borders
are safe, but it's just inhumane to go after anybody
that looks Latin that you know, there's people that have
been detained that are residents and citizens. There was a
person who served in our military that has been detained.
(34:03):
I just think that's a pretty you know, bad execution
that took a good idea and turned into a bad
idea because they could have been going out to making
sure our communities are safer by apprehending, you know, criminals,
but to go after hard working folks and people that
are working two to three jobs to keep you know,
(34:24):
food on their table, their kids going off to four
year colleges. I know this firsthand because of the my
My program, my Foundation, the work that we do getting
kids to go off to four year colleges. You know,
we've witnessed, you know, the fear that's been instilled in
to our in our neighborhood. So they just wanted to
(34:46):
lift up the vibration and celebrate the community.
Speaker 24 (34:49):
And also as Angelino's born and raised in East Los Angeles,
you know, his mom went to Roosevelt High School.
Speaker 14 (34:55):
My mom went to Guardfield. So there was always this
beautiful rivalry.
Speaker 24 (34:58):
But at the end of the day, it was about
uniting and bringing East LA together and standing in solidarity
with those folks that you know that are crying out
for help justice.
Speaker 2 (35:06):
So what does East LA mean to both of you personally? Like,
is this record like more of a tribute, Is it
a time capsule or is it something else?
Speaker 14 (35:13):
Well, for me, it's a thank you, It's a I
see you, I love you. I have a lot of
just beautiful memories there.
Speaker 23 (35:24):
I was born and raised there, spent twenty five years
of my life there in the projects.
Speaker 14 (35:30):
Streaming, I was able to move my family, you.
Speaker 23 (35:33):
Know, we migrated out of the projects, but I still
you know, loved my neighborhood.
Speaker 14 (35:40):
My program.
Speaker 23 (35:41):
I got a robotics program right in the middle of
the projects that I'm from. My after school program is
right down street from that. My aunt still works at
the home shelter there. My uncle still works at the park,
you know, keeping the kids off the streets. So although
we moved out of the projects, we're still in the
heart of the community. So East LA is like an
(36:03):
ongoing dialogue of commitment dedication. It you know, changed the
vibration of the neighborhood and for me, as a Native
Mexican kid from La, you know, it means a lot
to be able to not only give back to the
community in a sense of championing the idea of solidarity
and oneness, but also to be able to rap in
(36:24):
Spanish or Spanglish like that was dope for us, you know,
using slang specifically from East LA or Ball Heights. Really
loving the vibration and the frequency that is the color
and the texture of East Los Angeles, and that's why
the video is so colorful.
Speaker 2 (36:39):
Yeah, you know, it's crazy.
Speaker 7 (36:40):
You know, you said something earlier that a lot of
people don't necessarily say. You were saying that you're not
mad if they're taking criminals off the street, taking people
that are doing bad things off the street, But there
has to be a process and procedure to do it
and to figure out the good from the bad.
Speaker 2 (36:55):
Is that what you're saying.
Speaker 23 (36:56):
Yeah, like you remembered, during COVID, they did a really
good job making sure everybody got swabbed, making sure everybody
got vaccinated.
Speaker 14 (37:04):
And specifically in long most people.
Speaker 5 (37:07):
But well.
Speaker 23 (37:09):
That's a different subject. But there was like where you
volunteered and drove to the nearest stadium or the arena
to get swabbed and vaccinated. A portion of the folks
that did that were undocumented, so they know where the
undocumented people actually live. They got all the information, but
(37:30):
the way that they went about doing it is inhumane.
There is, uh, you know, a path that they could
have taken to boost our economy by turning undocumented folks
to documented folks. Because these folks that have these jobs,
(37:52):
income taxes are taken from their paycheck and people in
Beverly Hills in Brentwood. They know their services are needed
Altadena and Malibu Palisades burned down and reconfiguring these neighborhoods.
They know the value of these people's services, and so
(38:13):
I just think the way they went about it is
horribly wrong. There could have been a better tactic that,
you know, gave people dignity, gave them the opportunity to
become citizens, just the way other countries do. Just to blanket,
just go into a neighborhood, mask people right in unmarked vehicles,
(38:35):
you're inciting kidnapping because there's.
Speaker 9 (38:38):
No way to be able, like who was that person?
Speaker 23 (38:40):
You couldn't even you couldn't even describe them, you know
what car was that? You wouldn't even know what if
that was a government vehicle. I just think the tactic
was just poor, you know, and it doesn't reflect America's best,
It doesn't reflect that sounds like a third world country,
that doesn't sound like America.
Speaker 2 (39:03):
I agree. Why was West Side Story to write song
the sample for this record?
Speaker 14 (39:07):
Oh, because it's at East l A.
Speaker 8 (39:10):
That's the part.
Speaker 14 (39:12):
I just love that part and he said it with
so much emotion, and I just wanted to just highlight
that part.
Speaker 2 (39:19):
Yeah, and it was.
Speaker 24 (39:20):
Beautiful to have like the musical transitions from the three
zero which were used to in East Los Angeles when
you're on a date or you're doing something with family,
you see threeos in restaurants and then to go what
is that is like a like a yes, okay, so
that frequency that you first hear that's a three zero
(39:41):
and the three dudes playing usually at restaurants or you know,
different events, and then to be able to have it
go into a transition with Cumbia with the undertone of
the hip hop bop as you said, like that's it's
really dope.
Speaker 25 (39:53):
What's the Columbia is a style of music that originated
at a Columbia and then a lot of Central American
countries have adopted it.
Speaker 23 (40:04):
The manald Cumbia's is really awesome. It's it's popular, but
originated in Columbia.
Speaker 9 (40:11):
It's like a.
Speaker 14 (40:14):
It's like this rhythm, like you know, like I thought
this trap has the signature rhythm.
Speaker 23 (40:22):
You know, there's all these house has obviously has their
four on the floor, but a Cumbia's uh on the
percussive that that's the signature rhythm throughout every Cumbia, and
so we we wanted to go from a trillo to
a Cumbia because that's what growing up in the felt like.
I grew up in a predominant Mexican neighborhood.
Speaker 14 (40:44):
Which was, you know, beautiful. The only black family there
there was like, okay, there was the Hammers there.
Speaker 9 (40:51):
We don't know these people, a family, the Rose.
Speaker 14 (40:59):
Family, the Walkers, my family, which is pretty pretty very large.
No Canes.
Speaker 23 (41:10):
Uh, there's about five black families in our neighborhood, but
to all the Mexicans, it was just one black family,
you know what I mean.
Speaker 14 (41:23):
And it was beautiful. It was beautiful growing up there.
Speaker 7 (41:25):
We're still kicking it with will I am inn Taboom
from Black Eyed Peas. You know, we talk about, you know,
black in the Latin culture a lot, especially in New York. Right,
it's different. It's more Puerto Rican than Dominicans.
Speaker 5 (41:34):
Right.
Speaker 2 (41:34):
And I'm not Dominican, I'm black, he says.
Speaker 14 (41:37):
In the Dominican everybody said.
Speaker 2 (41:41):
I'm not. I'm fully black.
Speaker 7 (41:43):
But you know, growing up, it was kind of like
it was when I say us verse there and not
us as in it was the blacks, Puerto Ricans, Dominicans.
Speaker 2 (41:51):
We stood together.
Speaker 8 (41:51):
We stuck together, right, we clubbed, we partied together.
Speaker 7 (41:54):
It was gainst So it's nothing to hear somebody Puerto
Rican say, you know that's my that's that this to
the ever So a Mexican ot recently said that people
had a problem with it.
Speaker 8 (42:03):
It's different here because we didn't grow up with.
Speaker 7 (42:05):
The Mexican community. We grew up with Puerto Rican Dominicans.
So say fat Joe said, it was never a problem.
Speaker 2 (42:10):
J Loo saying it.
Speaker 7 (42:11):
We didn't think, oh my god. It was how we
grew up, especially in Bronx queezebrookly and whatever. How is
it growing up in La because people were disturbed by
that one time. But I'm like, that might be the
same thing as how we grew up here.
Speaker 23 (42:24):
It depends Like Nathaniels, they say they dropped in bombs
all the time.
Speaker 14 (42:31):
People so California, California.
Speaker 23 (42:39):
And you know Richmond and they embomb all the times.
Daniels Southern Southern Cali. They don't really do that. Uh,
our manager Paulo, he'd be dropping it crazy.
Speaker 14 (42:53):
Here though.
Speaker 2 (42:55):
Paulo's Mexican.
Speaker 23 (42:56):
Paulo's Mexican, Like yeah, So it all depends on what
which part of California you talk about. But because there's
more black and Latin AUH communities and in northern California
where it's tightly niched together, I could see why that
(43:18):
that that's that has like a tolerance in southern California. Uh,
there has been a division between Blacks and Latins highly
because of prisons. So the prisons have separated blacks and Latins,
and so there was like this notion that, wow, you survived,
how did you get how did you survive being one
(43:39):
of the only black families in all Mexican neighborhood.
Speaker 14 (43:41):
For me, it was it was it was awesome.
Speaker 23 (43:44):
There's a lot of black people in southern California probably
had a tougher time, but for my family it was
and the other black families in our neighborhood and Elisa Pico,
Elisa Village, it was awesome.
Speaker 24 (43:58):
In Taboo well, growing up in Dogtown Projects, which is
close to where he grew up, and then I moved
to Rosemey, California. It was predominantly Asian and Mexican, so
we didn't really have to worry about that, you know,
it was more like you know, the Mexican Asian War
because it was heavy in the eighties, like the Watchings
versus like Bartleer Street or you know, all these gangs
(44:20):
that were in the San Gabo Valley. But I always
knew that, you know, there was like this divide in
this separation. So when Black Eyed Peas was formed, it
was like, Yo, hip hop brought us together. It was
not a cultural thing. It's not like oh tabs Native
American and Mexican and Will's black and apples Filipinos. More
like now we we hip hop kids. We grew up
on day Line tribe. So that whole essence of just
(44:41):
like you know, standing together for hip hop, B boying MCN.
It was that thing, so that the word was never
really like a thing for us. It's like you had
your in your neighborhood.
Speaker 23 (44:55):
You you got a lot of flag oh because I
hung out with Yeah, so a be like, hey, hangs
out with the blacks.
Speaker 24 (45:02):
Oh yeah, so so my son's mom, Josh, my oldest son,
his mom was black. So I got a lot of
flat like, hey, you're living in a taboo lifestyle.
Speaker 2 (45:11):
Your girlfriend that.
Speaker 1 (45:14):
Lifestyle?
Speaker 2 (45:15):
Yeah wow.
Speaker 24 (45:16):
So so I was like, yeah, well, if I'm living
the taboo lifestyle, i am taboo. Yeah, so then that
whole energy came about, like yo, I don't I'm down
with the Blacks and down with the Filipinos, down with
the Mexicans, the Asians.
Speaker 14 (45:28):
And that's that that connection that I had growing up.
Speaker 2 (45:31):
Yeah, how does like when you talk about East La
and you know y'all mentioned in all the different types
of music that you were influenced by effect I went
into this record, how did that show up in your
musical identity before?
Speaker 23 (45:43):
Oh oh oh, So if you listen to like songs
like it, he says on the first album. If you
listen to like songs like Latin Girls on our third album,
or people that we've collaborated with like Juanas and Joan Sebastian,
Debbie Nova, Debbie Nova, or a few Surgeon Mendoz. If
you see records on like Translation where we went and
(46:06):
dove into like or when I collaborated with Daddy Yankee,
like on his his first record. We've always been like
fusing Latin rhythms like our.
Speaker 14 (46:18):
Bio was in nineteen ninety eight. It was like wise
Black Eyed Peace.
Speaker 23 (46:23):
Different were like we infuse Latin rhythms because of our
you know, upbringings.
Speaker 14 (46:28):
Like you google it, google it, but yeah, if Google
has it.
Speaker 24 (46:33):
And it was dope being able to drop Spanish versus
back then. So I was dropping, Like we did a
song called Release, and I was like, s I see see,
I see she took gets something that we I said, yes,
and so s ah, I see, but it's said, Okay
said it's offer. You Spanish tongue is speaking truth.
Speaker 1 (46:55):
That was like you've been talking.
Speaker 9 (46:58):
You don't know what he said.
Speaker 14 (47:00):
I could have said that.
Speaker 9 (47:01):
It shows.
Speaker 23 (47:06):
We would always we would always be like your tame
like you know, you gotta dig in, you gotta go
on your your Latin bag bro on this one. Like
that's it's really like hone into our individuality cultural differences.
Speaker 14 (47:19):
You know, like you the Latin native dude. You know
what I'm saying. I'm the black dude from an all Mexican.
Speaker 23 (47:26):
They were apples like super Filipinos straight from the Philippines.
Speaker 14 (47:30):
You don't even speaking English for like twenty minutes. And
you know that's that's why Black Eyed Peas is like
super international.
Speaker 1 (47:40):
Just be white like you.
Speaker 23 (47:44):
Know this before we even before before we even Matt Fredie,
before you met Fraid and so Black Eyed Peas.
Speaker 14 (47:54):
That's the way she said, and that was funny. Our
biggest audience outside of the We have more success in
Mexico than the States.
Speaker 2 (48:03):
Really really like yeah.
Speaker 23 (48:05):
Yeah, like we could play like multiple stadiums. At our height,
we was playing at Stecond Stadium, was playing stadiums all
throughout O Salvador and uh you know Battamala, Chile, Brazil, Brazil, Uruguay, Paraguay, Venezuela,
Like yeah, like that's where we would go to those places.
(48:26):
That's the reason why the only stadium we played in
America was in Miami. We didn't play in those stadiums
in the States. Really at the height of our career,
the height of our career, we never played a stadium
in America just in Miami.
Speaker 2 (48:40):
That's in our mind. Black Eyed Peas was just big
and that's all your game.
Speaker 14 (48:43):
Stadium yeaeah outside of America.
Speaker 8 (48:46):
Wow, I don't know why I could have sworn they
did the garden.
Speaker 5 (48:50):
We did.
Speaker 2 (48:50):
We did Arena Arena Arena.
Speaker 23 (48:55):
Twenty thirty thousand stadiums is eighty nd dollars. No, we
didn't do that just in Miami, but we was able
to do eighty three thousand in France. Three three times
in a row.
Speaker 14 (49:07):
Yeah, Japan.
Speaker 7 (49:09):
That you were able to do it there and not
necessarily here. Did you want to do it here or
you didn't care success? You know it didn't matter to you. No, no, no,
can't nitpick be like no, because some people want to
do home like I want home like that.
Speaker 2 (49:21):
You know home is Earth, okay.
Speaker 24 (49:24):
And we've always had It's true, we've always had to
mentell you like apples from the Philippines. Our goal is
less perform in the Philippines. Yeah, we got to go
back to apples motherland. So it meant international. The idea
is We're are going to take this international. We're still
kicking them with will I Am in Taboo from Black
Eyed Peas?
Speaker 8 (49:43):
Yes, you know is this a.
Speaker 4 (49:45):
Black Eyed Peas song? Or will I Am in Taboo song?
Speaker 14 (49:48):
It's will I Am in Taboo? We struggled with that,
like is this Black Eyed Peas?
Speaker 5 (49:54):
Oh?
Speaker 17 (49:54):
Yeah?
Speaker 14 (49:56):
And I'm like, hey, why don't we do something that
we haven't done where you know, we we we know
what Votron's like.
Speaker 23 (50:04):
But if we could, like, you know, highlight different clusters
of what we are collectively, I mean, tabbing Apple song,
will come and me and Apple song, you know, you know,
do doing it like that on this on this next space.
Speaker 14 (50:22):
But I'm in solo mode.
Speaker 23 (50:23):
I have records coming out, and I wanted to put
out as much human made music as possible.
Speaker 2 (50:31):
Because hey, I take it over like that.
Speaker 14 (50:35):
Well yeah, it's it's really dopey, the AI stuff is.
Speaker 2 (50:42):
Yeah, so I want to That sounds crazy to even
say I want to make as much human made music
as possible. Yeah, damn. How do you feel?
Speaker 7 (50:52):
You know, people got on Timblane when he signed his
first AI artists and people are mad and said, you're
taking the jobs from artists, taking.
Speaker 2 (51:00):
The creativity away, taking you know, the fact. What are
your thoughts on it?
Speaker 23 (51:06):
I think it's the way, the environment, the proximity of
what Timberland was around as he was doing the AI music,
and so for a couple of years before that, he was,
you know, wanting to sign people having them cement music.
And then the thing that he signed is an AI,
(51:26):
not a human. I can see why that feathers. You know,
I thought you just did this campaign.
Speaker 14 (51:33):
And then the situation with the dude and the beat,
there's a lot of noise around it.
Speaker 23 (51:40):
For example, we did some version of that where we're
like the new member of the Black Eyed Peas is
an Ai when we were about to do Vegas.
Speaker 14 (51:48):
But like I said, I think it's the proximity because
he was adjacent to you.
Speaker 23 (51:53):
Know, I got a call out, you know, magnetizing the
community to send music, and then the thing he signs
is an Ai. But other than that, if you move
that out of the way, there's no there's no there's
no uh So different of lending your voice to a
to a cartoon. For example, I did Madagascartoo. That hippo's
(52:18):
a hippo. I did a bird on Rio one and two.
Who's Hill's pedro? Uh So, it's using your imagination and
like building character. You know, Mickey Mouse is the o
g Ai character outlived freaking walk. So there's nothing wrong
(52:38):
with you know, avatars or you know, uh alter egos.
You know, there's nothing wrong with that. It's just you
gotta be careful in the environment and they and the
environment that you that you do it. In what happened
with Vegas because you mentioned Vegas, I was affected by
(52:59):
the virus.
Speaker 24 (53:00):
To be honest with you, I'm an Altadenapasadena area and
I was displaced for a long time.
Speaker 14 (53:06):
I didn't have a home.
Speaker 16 (53:07):
Wow.
Speaker 23 (53:08):
Fact, yeah, so we had a well we we'll we'll
revisit that now that you know, you know, people are safe,
people can live.
Speaker 2 (53:18):
Yep, did you lose everything?
Speaker 24 (53:20):
I had to get rid of Every internal damage was bad,
So we had to get rid of everything internally structurally.
Structurally we were okay, but our surrounding area was devastated.
So you know, my hearts go out to Yeah, my kid,
both of my son's preschool burned down, So my heart
goes out to Alta, Dina, Malibu Palisades and all the
people affected. Dude, our our year started off five, so
(53:45):
to be able to have come back in the summer
and have healing, as you said with this song and
this whole idea of how can we be a service
and help and do our part to advocate, Like that's
that's a blessing for us as we made a year.
Speaker 14 (53:57):
Man, I feel like it was two years so far.
Speaker 2 (53:59):
Now it's crazy because they feel like culturally LA is
having such a great moment, right, not a moment because
y'all at LA, but like, you know what Kendrick did
well culturally.
Speaker 14 (54:07):
But then it's like societally the fire Ice Ray.
Speaker 2 (54:10):
It's like God, yeah, yeah, yeah, did you have you
bounced back to Aboo from your house?
Speaker 24 (54:15):
We did, Yeah, we moved in fortunately, but still we
have eight hundred trash trucks taking the debris out. We
probably won't be up and running as a community as
far as like good for a couple of years. Some
of the lots are being sold. Some of the lots
are being taken over because they don't have insurance.
Speaker 2 (54:33):
Some of the people.
Speaker 24 (54:34):
You gotta understand, bro, these are marginalized communities on the
other side of Altadina, a lot of black families and
Mexican families that didn't have, you know.
Speaker 2 (54:42):
The proper insurance.
Speaker 24 (54:43):
They've been living there there for years and they were
affected by the fires, and unfortunately the city comes in
and takes their home because they can't pay for that lot.
Speaker 4 (54:53):
I just saw that you collaborated with Mercedes.
Speaker 2 (54:58):
Yeah, yeah, you did it. He did that. I tried
to get it for last.
Speaker 5 (55:03):
Yeah.
Speaker 23 (55:04):
So we got two pieces of technology inside Mercedes won
the sound drive that takes all the sensor data and
aims at sensor data to a sound generation platform that
allows a driver to remix, reimagine songs. Just by driving
and then I got this AI radio that's in Mercedes vehicles.
And because of that Qualcom, we just partnered up with Qualcom.
(55:24):
We you know, just married our systems onto Chip so
there would get us in more OEM vehicles. So I
go to India in two weeks to announce our partnership
with three OEM auto manufacturers out there in India. What's
awesome is one of our kids that joined my program
(55:47):
as a kid that comes from the same project as me.
He joined my program when he was like in the
ninth grade, tenth grade.
Speaker 2 (55:55):
He then went to.
Speaker 14 (55:56):
School for computer science.
Speaker 23 (55:58):
He then graduated and now he's like one of the
lead in leadership implementing our systems and Mercedes. You know,
I'm just really proud of his dedication, commitment and we
rely on him for his talents, but you know, just
go to show that people from the same projects and
(56:19):
can can align and bring the best out of each other.
So you know, really really salute his, uh his growth
and now leadership at the company.
Speaker 2 (56:31):
So that's when I sit here and I listened to
you and Taboo talk man, and I think about you know,
the other members Filipino with all the different cultures in
the group. How did y'all land on the name black
eyed Peas because black eyed peas is anonymous with black folk.
Speaker 14 (56:45):
Yeah, I mean that.
Speaker 23 (57:05):
My grandma she used to used to, you know, force me,
not force me, but like, boy, you ain't getting up
off that table tea finished in black eyed Peas, and
they were drive.
Speaker 14 (57:17):
And I didn't. I'm not. I'm not a fan of
the eye.
Speaker 1 (57:24):
Is good.
Speaker 23 (57:25):
It's just some peace by itself, like let me sometimes
it's good. But the way that, the way I had
it growing up, it was. And so the green beans
and black eyed peace when they get cold, I ain't
trying to add that. And so my grandma would be like,
you ain't getting up off that table to you finished
the black eyed peace.
Speaker 14 (57:44):
So for me, it just meant like, don't stop.
Speaker 23 (57:47):
Until you're done. You can't get up until you finish something.
And no matter how hard it is, no matter what
it is. If you got a dream, if you were
set to do something, you gotta see it. You got
to complete it.
Speaker 14 (57:59):
And it's good luck.
Speaker 23 (58:00):
You know, it's a good luck and good luck and
you know, good vibes and what you magnetize, what you attract.
Speaker 24 (58:09):
And also black Eyed Peas and Soul Food, and we
always felt like our music feeds the soul.
Speaker 14 (58:14):
And it would have been weird being like, okay because
your Mexicans named the group, but they had that, or
Bees and Riceless might have hit.
Speaker 2 (58:28):
Listen, Black Eyed Peas probably would have been whacked if
y'all didn't make it.
Speaker 14 (58:31):
That's true.
Speaker 16 (58:34):
I want to change the name.
Speaker 24 (58:35):
Somebody was like Black Eyed Peas, No, no, no, because
the idea of soul food is dope.
Speaker 9 (58:40):
We feed the soul with our music absolutely.
Speaker 23 (58:42):
And you know, there was two groups that were out
that was named after food, like the Red Hot Chili Preppers.
Speaker 14 (58:47):
I'm like, you know, they got Smash the Pumpkins. I'm like, yo,
they got food names.
Speaker 2 (58:51):
Bro, like what I'm saying, that's right.
Speaker 7 (58:55):
We appreciate you guys for joining us many.
Speaker 14 (58:58):
Having us all the time.
Speaker 9 (58:58):
Sarahs Breakfast Club.
Speaker 7 (59:00):
Let's get into it, warning everybody and see j NV, Jesse, Hilarry, Charlamagne,
the guy.
Speaker 8 (59:05):
We are the Breakfast Club. Let's get to the latest
with Lauren.
Speaker 1 (59:08):
Lauren becoming straight fast.
Speaker 2 (59:10):
Tell me she gets them to somebody that knows somebody detail.
Speaker 1 (59:14):
I'm a lone girl that knows a little bit about everything,
and she'd.
Speaker 2 (59:18):
Be having the latest on it, the.
Speaker 9 (59:21):
Latest with Lauren La Rosa.
Speaker 2 (59:22):
Sometimes you have fact, sometimes you have details, sometimes you
have a little bit of everything.
Speaker 9 (59:26):
It's the latest on the Breakfast Club.
Speaker 20 (59:30):
Yeah, there has been a lot of a death recently.
We have to take a time, take time to say
rip to Ozzie Osbourne. So he died at age seventy six.
It was announced yesterday that he passed away surrounded by
all of his family, surrounded by love, and this was
in a statement released by his family. Now his official
cause of death, per reports, is not clear, but Ozzy
(59:52):
Osbourne has been open about dealing with Parkinson's disease and
some issues following like neck injuries for some years. He
actually called his battle with Parkinson's disease at Double Hockey
Sticks for him and his family.
Speaker 1 (01:00:03):
Yeah, you can say I didn't know. I can say that.
Speaker 20 (01:00:06):
You can say, yeah, you gonna meet me, My god,
you're gonna meet me, okay, clown.
Speaker 8 (01:00:13):
But he just performed though, like which is crazy.
Speaker 1 (01:00:17):
Yes, he had it was three weeks ago.
Speaker 20 (01:00:19):
There was July fifth, they had this big like reunion
for Black Sabbath, which is the band that he was in.
Speaker 8 (01:00:25):
Early on money one hundred and ninety million dollars.
Speaker 20 (01:00:28):
And the crazy thing is is that event his wife
and his kids were talking about how it was so
special for him because he never really got a chance
to like say goodbye to the fans of that group
because of the split and the way that it went down.
So this was his like return in the stage, going
to say my goodbyes, and then he passes away weeks later. Yeah,
so it happened pretty It was happened pretty crazy.
Speaker 2 (01:00:49):
July fifth. I was damn not even twenty days ago.
Speaker 1 (01:00:52):
No, it was like two three, like three weeks ago.
Speaker 2 (01:00:54):
That's crazy.
Speaker 15 (01:00:54):
Yeah.
Speaker 20 (01:00:55):
But first of all, did you guys know well you
probably noticed Envy Let's go trick Daddy.
Speaker 1 (01:01:01):
That was a simple of Osborn.
Speaker 4 (01:01:03):
Yeah, I did not know that.
Speaker 2 (01:01:05):
Today. I mean we all got introduced. Oh I'm not
gonna say we all. I think our generation got introduced
to the Osbourne through reality television show.
Speaker 3 (01:01:13):
That's exactly where we're talking about Wife the Wife, the
reality show.
Speaker 20 (01:01:16):
Yeah, and that that reality show dropped in the two thousands.
It had a total four seasons, a little over fifty episodes,
but one hundred percent that was how I met and.
Speaker 2 (01:01:25):
I knew he was TV really mad, Yes, really mad.
Speaker 1 (01:01:29):
Reality TV was so different than like it. Yeah, it
was so different that it was when it was at
its best. Oh my gosh, reality TV.
Speaker 3 (01:01:39):
It was like the best thing up until maybe about
four years ago, what was four years ago?
Speaker 4 (01:01:45):
Years ago when everything started being fake?
Speaker 2 (01:01:47):
You still watch it?
Speaker 8 (01:01:48):
Okay, okay, you don't have a subscription everything, h one,
it's not.
Speaker 1 (01:02:00):
This is not reality TV. No, that is still the
reality loving hip hop oh yes.
Speaker 3 (01:02:06):
Love and hip Hops of Atlanta.
Speaker 1 (01:02:09):
You know that real damn baddies.
Speaker 20 (01:02:13):
Well, I think people still tune into the reality shows
stuff now because they want the They want the raw
ra they want the razzle dazzle.
Speaker 2 (01:02:20):
We hated that low Now and then Island. That's the
reality show.
Speaker 1 (01:02:22):
Right now.
Speaker 2 (01:02:31):
At the end.
Speaker 20 (01:02:31):
But that's because I don't know what you considered the
genre of that, but very much so. But I think
people are tied to especially because we live in such
a blog culture right, people are tied to the drama now,
speaking of the blogs and speaking of drama, David Man
and Tamila Man, y'all know, we love them. Yes, I
talked to them last night and we had a laugh
because they hit the blogs the other day and they
(01:02:53):
were like, Lauren, I need you to clear this up
because we are so confused. Let's take a listen to
them speaking on a divorce allegedly that was happening any
with them, and I'm divorcing.
Speaker 2 (01:03:08):
We're sitting here, we're sitting here on vacation, chilling together,
and we find out we're getting a divorce.
Speaker 1 (01:03:15):
Yeah, ain't nobody told us? Man, y'all about believing this mess.
Speaker 9 (01:03:21):
We gotta give him Rinda first.
Speaker 2 (01:03:23):
It started with her being deathly ill.
Speaker 1 (01:03:25):
Yes, no, she looks good to me.
Speaker 4 (01:03:29):
I'm fine, I am great, and well he is not
beating me.
Speaker 1 (01:03:33):
He is not part of the me.
Speaker 9 (01:03:35):
I'm uh he know, but not like that. Oh my god, No,
I'm not in there at all.
Speaker 5 (01:03:39):
Because people getting crazy stuff.
Speaker 2 (01:03:42):
Yeah, so that story must have been on Christian Twitter.
Speaker 5 (01:03:47):
For christ.
Speaker 2 (01:03:49):
That was shaving room for christ because I ain't see that.
No where was that.
Speaker 3 (01:03:53):
They didn't say any but they said one of the
fact that nephews and little you know, nieces and stuff
was calling them like y'all all right, y'all getting a divorce.
And there it was like where y'all get that from?
So they then sent the links where they saw it
at to them and they on vacation.
Speaker 8 (01:04:05):
With each other.
Speaker 20 (01:04:06):
Yeah, you know, I didn't know what was happening until
they posted the video addressing it. But so David Man said,
this is crazy. I didn't even know who doctor Jackie was.
We were on vacation. It found out we're getting divorced
and Tim assumed me for fifty million. I didn't even
know we had that much money. We are living our
best life and people saying we're divorcing gotten Jackie from
(01:04:26):

Speaker 3 (01:04:30):
Allegedly, that's what they put out, that that David Man
was cheating on Tamala Man with doctor Jackie And.
Speaker 20 (01:04:35):
He said, I didn't even know who she was before this. Yeah,
but please leave Tamala and David Man alone. They are
the happiest, funniest couple. I just love seeing them.
Speaker 2 (01:04:45):
I want to FaceTime.
Speaker 20 (01:04:48):
No, he shot me at taxi. He shot me at
taxing heat that audio from just now. That was a
video that they posted to Instagram from vacation.
Speaker 2 (01:04:56):
Them on the beach. That's what I'm trying to get
at one piece, David.
Speaker 18 (01:05:00):
Look you.
Speaker 4 (01:05:03):
They're not going to be on the balcony close they know.
Speaker 2 (01:05:08):
Right, okay, trying to be gay.
Speaker 3 (01:05:10):
With Browne mister brown in the wonderful Yeah, this guy's
crazy all right.
Speaker 2 (01:05:18):
For the man's man people, for great people they are.
Speaker 8 (01:05:22):
That was the latest with Lauren and Charlamne. Who giving
y'all dounky.
Speaker 2 (01:05:24):
You man for after the hour? I need a woman
named Tanika McKenzie to come to the front of the congregation.
We like to have a word with her. I don't
know who raising the kids nowadays. I really don't because
all of y'all I can like.
Speaker 8 (01:05:34):
All right, we'll get to that. Next is to breakfast
out the morning.
Speaker 2 (01:05:38):
Your char some donkey to days just so themself watching
Charlotte Man was ready for.
Speaker 9 (01:05:46):
I never read them donkey again, Charla Man, I'm a duncan.
Speaker 2 (01:05:52):
Yes you are, Charlotte, Yes don you Today for Wednesday,
July twenty third goes to thirty five year old Tanikuam McKenzie.
Now let me tell you something. I respect hardworking people
in all industries, especially fast food service industries. Okay, it's
no secret my wife and I own Crystal franchises in
(01:06:12):
South Carolina, sleuth Thought spots in Orangeburg and walter Borough, okay,
South Carolina, respectfully. So I see firsthand how hard fast
food service workers work, and I also see the BS
they have to deal with because they are constantly having
to engage with the most unstable creatures on the planet.
And those unstable creatures are humans. Okay. Can you imagine,
regardless of what's going on in your life, regardless of
(01:06:33):
what it is you're going through, you know, you have
agreed to do a job, and you have to do
that job every day to the best of your ability,
at the highest level, regardless of how you may be feeling.
I mean, that's all of us. But you can't bring
your BS to work, Okay. The customers don't deserve that,
and vice versa. Whatever you got going on in your life,
don't take that out on the fast food workers customers, okay.
(01:06:53):
Or to your number two combo meal large and keep
it pushing and be kind in the process because you
don't know what other people are going through. By the way,
once again, this works both ways. Respect me, I'll respect you,
because disrespect begets disrespect every time. See Kathy and Bledsoe
was a manager at McDonald's and she told one of
her teenage employees to take the trash out and the
(01:07:14):
teenage employee refused to do so. Now, imagine for a
second you a manager at McDonald's. Just are you a
manager at McDonald's and you ask a teenage worker to
take the trash out and they say no, what you
gonna do? Fire?
Speaker 17 (01:07:28):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (01:07:28):
Definitely that's what most people would do, right, Okay, that's
what most people would do. She didn't even do that. Okay,
all she simply did was tell her to clock out
and go home.
Speaker 1 (01:07:39):
That's it.
Speaker 2 (01:07:40):
That's what Kathy did, told her a clockout and go home.
What a girl called her mother? Okay? Thirty five year
old Tarnika McKenzie, who then came to McDonald's with another
teenage girl to confront Kathy Blodsoe and then all hell
broke clues. So let's go to NBC five for the report. Police.
Speaker 26 (01:07:55):
Shortly before five Wednesday afternoon, police went to check out
a disturbance at this McDonalds on South Belt East in Bellville.
Officers learned a shooting happened inside the fast food restaurant.
The person, police say pull the trigger is a manager,
forty four year old Kathy Bletsoe. Investigator say, the McDonald's
manager asked the teenage employee to take the trash out,
(01:08:18):
and when she refused, the girl returned here with her mother.
Police say Bledsoe and the Belleville mom, thirty five year
old Tanika McKenzie, first argued in the McDonald's lobby. The
altercation escalated when mackenzie and her daughter went behind the
front counter to an office area. Investigators say Mackenzie struck
Bledsoe in her face and head. Police say the restaurant
(01:08:41):
manager then pulled out a gun and fired once, striking
the mom in her leg.
Speaker 1 (01:08:48):
Oh my god.
Speaker 2 (01:08:49):
Donkey men breed with donkey women and have donkey kids.
This teenage girl is a donkey with no home training.
Because you work at McDonald's and your manager asked you
to take the trash out. You didn't take the trash out,
so they tell you clock out and go home. You
call your mama, who's thirty five year old Tanika? Okay?
And in Tanika, you didn't ask no questions of your daughter.
Right is right and wrong is wrong.
Speaker 5 (01:09:09):
I don't know what.
Speaker 2 (01:09:09):
Kathy said to her in the process of telling her
to clock out, but it couldn't have been worth you
coming to McDonald's. You know coming back to McDonald's with
your daughter to assault Kathy, who is teaching the children here. Okay,
this is terrible conflict resolution skills. You went back to
McDonald's with your child and almost got both of y'all killed. Okay.
Kathy was charged with aggravated unlawful use of a weapon
(01:09:32):
and Tanika was charged with aggravated battery and mob action.
I don't think Kathy should be charged with a damn thing. Okay,
she did exactly what she was supposed to do. I'm
at work and I sent your child home for not
doing her job, and you come up to my place
of employment to step behind my counter and try to
jump me. Yes, I'm up and on everybody if I'm scrapped. Okay,
Kathy got hit in the face and head and fired
(01:09:52):
one shot that hit Tanika in the leg, all because
your child didn't want to take the trash out. And
guess what, now we know where the DOTTA gets it from. Okay.
The Bella Bille Police Department put out a statement, and
I'm not gonna read the whole thing, but they basically
said it's unfortunate this incident occurred. It seems individuals are
quick to resort the violence to resolve disputes without consideration
(01:10:13):
of the impact their actions have on the community as
a whole. This was an unnecessary incident that could have
been mitigated without punches being thrown. Are a gun being used?
That statement sounds like US civilians talking to the police. Yes,
plenty of interactions with cops. Don't have to lead the
violence either. Well, let me stay focused. Now, Kathy is
in custody at the time in this article, but Tanika
(01:10:34):
is not. I guess because she's in the hospital. But
I don't think that's right. Okay, what did Kathy do
wrong here? Your child, Anika didn't take the trash out
at McDonald's. Okay, I'm her manager. I sent her home.
You come to my place of employment, you and that
little girl and try to jump me. Come behind the
county and put hands on me. I shot you. Is
that not standing your ground? Is that not self defense?
Speaker 5 (01:10:56):
Now?
Speaker 2 (01:10:57):
This happened in Illinois. Illinois does not have a stand
in your round law. It says, while Illinois does recognize
the right to self defense, it does not allow for
the use of force in public spaces without a duty
to retreat if a safe escape is available. Illinois law
requires a reasonable belief of imminent harm and that retreat
was not possible before using force in self defense. Listen,
(01:11:19):
she got confronted by two people and hitting the face ahead. Okay,
the floor in the back of McDonald's might have been wet.
I might not get to ran all right. It's either
this pistol lad of French Fried Greece. Either way, it's fire. Okay,
let me tell you something, man, A bad leader can
take a good staff and destroy it. Tanika, you are
a bad leader. Okay, Kathy is a great leader. She
sent your daughter home for not doing her job. Consequences
(01:11:43):
to negative actions. You came to jump her and got shot,
consequences to negative actions. And I bet the McKenzie family
still ain't learning a damn thing because of it. Please
give Taanika McKenzie the biggest sea hull. What did Kathy do?
Speaker 3 (01:12:01):
Nothing at all? Nothing like that's basically a family of clowns.
Like that's just like you said, who is raising the
kids like that? That's when your kid is your friend,
you know what I mean? Like that, that's what happened.
A lot of young mothers like do that. They they
raised their kids based on like how you know, like
(01:12:22):
they want to be their friend, except there's no discipline
in that house. You can tell because, like you said,
she didn't even ask her no questions, No questions were asked.
Speaker 4 (01:12:29):
Why why did you? Why are you being sent home?
What happened?
Speaker 2 (01:12:32):
If you just go up there you want that's crazy
because what you should do, You're gonna ask the child, right,
the child will tell you one story. And if you
do want to go to McDonald's, you go up there
and you have a simpolized conversation with the manager. Kathy,
what happened?
Speaker 5 (01:12:44):
What she do? As? Did it?
Speaker 2 (01:12:45):
Take the trash out? The nigga? She ain't want to
take the trash out? Oh okay, I see how she
don't like taking the trash out at home again teenagers.
Speaker 3 (01:12:57):
Yeah, she don't do chores, She has no responsibility. She
probably only got the job because she want to make
her own money. Mother probably don't have money to give
her extra money to give her.
Speaker 2 (01:13:04):
She won't take the trash out at home neither, Kathy,
her silly ass. You know, I no know where I'm
gonna handle it. Thank you for not firing her. I'm
I'm an fix it Instead, you go up there and
get shot.
Speaker 4 (01:13:13):
That's crazy.
Speaker 2 (01:13:16):
Well get shot.
Speaker 1 (01:13:18):
Ain't doing that, and Kathy ain't doing damn thing wrong.
Speaker 8 (01:13:22):
All right, we'll take it for that donkey today.
Speaker 7 (01:13:24):
Now, when we come back, let's open up the phone
lines eight hundred and five A five one O five one, Charlamagne.

stop Lauren from talking.
Speaker 8 (01:14:34):
Now she wants me to read it for it.
Speaker 1 (01:14:35):
She's still like, no, I didn't even hear you.
Speaker 8 (01:14:39):

Speaker 7 (01:15:47):

a place where I guess if you're dating somebody, you
put the man's picture.
Speaker 2 (01:16:05):

Speaker 16 (01:16:08):

Speaker 2 (01:16:10):
You sound crazy, so you know if you.
Speaker 1 (01:16:13):
Like the tea.
Speaker 16 (01:16:15):
So the app.
Speaker 20 (01:16:16):
The app is for if you're dating somebody and you're
interested to know, like what else the cat what literal?
But you're gonna also do it with like you can
get on their actual day. It's supposed to be a
community to make sure women are dating safety. Yes, it's
for women only, thank you, But it's leaking out already,
like people are you know, screenshotting from the app, and
you know certain things because men once once you you
(01:16:38):
post your man in there, or the person you're potentially
dating or whatever.
Speaker 1 (01:16:41):
People give you the car fax like oh no he got.
Speaker 20 (01:16:43):
This going on, stay away, boom boom, or he's a
super nice guy, go for it, says get him in
like that type of thing. Right, So those things make
it out of that app but they're not supposed to
supposed to be private, safe so that women know what
they're getting themselves into. And you can ask for dating
advice on there too, like in confidentiality, like hey, I'm
dealing with this as anyone else ever dealt with.
Speaker 1 (01:17:02):
That, and you can do things anonymously.
Speaker 11 (01:17:04):
I am not on that.
Speaker 1 (01:17:05):
I did con because why because you know you have.
Speaker 2 (01:17:09):
Two boyfriends give you like physical appearances to tell you
like this, like details.
Speaker 1 (01:17:14):
There's pictures.
Speaker 4 (01:17:15):
Picture, Yeah, you dropped the pic.
Speaker 1 (01:17:16):
There's a picture.
Speaker 2 (01:17:17):
Let me what I really want to ask and to
tell you how big the penis is.
Speaker 1 (01:17:20):
The women can get in as.
Speaker 16 (01:17:28):

Speaker 2 (01:17:28):
I'm creating the same space for all the little diddies
of the world. Okay, okay, you don't have to line
guys up neck it anymore and just point at him. Okay,
crazy if you go into t APP, Now, if did
he had the t APP, he might not be in
the situation he's in. But honestly trying to say, you're
talking about penisize.
Speaker 20 (01:17:42):
I'm sure people, I'm not again, I'm not on the
app whatever, you're not on the app. But we're Facebook groups.
Speaker 1 (01:17:46):
Similar to this.
Speaker 20 (01:17:47):
Whoever created this aptutely smart because there were there were
are we dating the same man? Facebook groups that is
literally just like this, And even on those groups, people
would have conversations about their sexual interactions with.
Speaker 1 (01:17:57):
These people and women.
Speaker 20 (01:17:59):
There'd be sometimes two women that will find out they
were having sex with one person at the same time.
Speaker 9 (01:18:03):
That's a ring.
Speaker 1 (01:18:05):
We're being told something completely different.
Speaker 2 (01:18:07):
Like I'm old, No, don't date them? Dot com about
that said, y'all be doing something new. That's crazy.
Speaker 3 (01:18:21):
Room is all through them little I'm telling you, listen,
people send me to something's wrong for the people Oh

The whole brother will be like, yeah, yeah.
Speaker 16 (01:18:54):

Speaker 27 (01:18:58):

Speaker 1 (01:19:48):

Speaker 28 (01:19:53):

should stop taking the Internet and start taking advice from people.
There's too many trolls on the Internet. Nobody wants to
see you happy, just they ask people questions in real life.
Speaker 8 (01:21:42):
Yeah, Kayla's not getting on as She's like, she just
find out when you find out.
Speaker 1 (01:21:46):

who they say they are? What you mean, like, there's
nothing bad.
Speaker 16 (01:21:53):
To find out that's true?
Speaker 7 (01:21:55):
They Cayler If I walked in the room and me
and Jess were hustling and we heard sim and Lauren
talking about the t app, And the t app is
what Lauren.
Speaker 1 (01:22:04):
It's where you go.
Speaker 20 (01:22:05):
You put your man in there, and then the girls
that are on the app can tell you what he's
been doing, when he's been up to or if it's
good to go. You can also get dating advice, or
you can dis inquire about people that you're interested in dating.
Speaker 2 (01:22:16):
I agree with one of our last callers. I think
that that can cause a lot of problems because people lie.
Speaker 3 (01:22:21):
Yeah, I wouldn't get dating advice off of like one
of those apps when it's just a bunch of women
trying to put niggas out there for things.
Speaker 4 (01:22:29):
You know, we can't even confirm whether it's true or not.
Speaker 20 (01:22:32):

Speaker 3 (01:23:27):
Some people, man, listen, ain't nothing to Detroit and all
y'all TV movies tell y'all stories.
Speaker 1 (01:23:37):
I wouldn't even want to date in Detroit anyway.

it just nothing was ever good enough for her?
Speaker 15 (01:24:28):
Is he?
Speaker 1 (01:24:29):
Is he a cheater?
Speaker 5 (01:24:30):

Speaker 13 (01:25:14):
You can do what you wants, m okay, And you
know there's just someone out.
Speaker 28 (01:25:18):
There that just wants to make men look bad because
they're trying to make their life harder.
Speaker 29 (01:25:24):
I agree also with her lawyers got the judge that
changed the time for how they did this.
Speaker 28 (01:25:32):
But it was at one o'clock, got changed at two o'clock.
He knew nothing about it.
Speaker 16 (01:25:38):
Crazy.
Speaker 4 (01:25:39):
Yeah, and that's Mama d right there.
Speaker 3 (01:25:40):
I don't cared for her dollars and cheating up and

going to be hitting the blogs? I gotta how did
you do?
Speaker 21 (01:25:57):

Vinci from b MF it regards a little meek.
Speaker 1 (01:26:07):
We're gonna we're.
Speaker 20 (01:26:07):
Gonna talk about the clip exclusively even dropped, but I

Speaker 1 (01:26:11):

Speaker 7 (01:26:16):
That know, just me saying it's a wild vacation. All right,
we'll get it too. That next to the breakfast logo
Morning the Breakfast Club.
Speaker 1 (01:26:27):
Let's get some la Yes, it's long becoming in your mouth.
I'm a long girl that knows a little bit about everything.
Speaker 9 (01:26:38):
And she'd be having the latest on you the law
the Latest with Lauren la Rossa.
Speaker 2 (01:26:44):
Sometimes you have fact, sometimes you have details, sometimes you
have a little bit of everything.
Speaker 9 (01:26:47):
It's the leadst the Breakfast Club.
Speaker 16 (01:26:51):
What Lauren?
Speaker 5 (01:26:52):
What?
Speaker 1 (01:26:53):
Just hilarious.
Speaker 20 (01:26:55):
So the Shade Room then be from the Shade Room
sat down with Da Vinci, who plays T on the
BMS series Little's Brother. Yes, and uh they had a
conversation about the show and things, but you came up
in conversation just hilarious.
Speaker 1 (01:27:11):
Now this interview was not out. I received this clip.
I got my hands on this clip. Let's take a listen.
Speaker 20 (01:27:17):
They were playing a game called drink or answered, Like
basically got answered the question or you drink.
Speaker 30 (01:27:22):
Let's just hilarious. Infamously said little Meach was a little
musty when you heard this was your initial reaction that
she's capping or was it?
Speaker 11 (01:27:33):
I could see why.
Speaker 14 (01:27:34):
She'd say that drink wow, I was saying out of it.
Speaker 9 (01:27:42):
He had enough money to play.
Speaker 14 (01:27:44):
My brother don't stink.
Speaker 2 (01:27:45):
And my brother, he said, he doesn't stay.
Speaker 1 (01:27:48):
But women, you guys have better sense to smell, so
you guys can pick up something that I'm not picking up.
Speaker 2 (01:27:54):
I could see what she said.
Speaker 1 (01:27:55):
What are some days that we're on set for a
long time?
Speaker 5 (01:27:58):
Man?
Speaker 2 (01:28:00):
Corn chips and like fres damn.
Speaker 9 (01:28:02):
So it was probably I don't like to smell fridos.
Speaker 11 (01:28:04):
That is so funny.
Speaker 1 (01:28:05):
Are you Are you guys cool?
Speaker 11 (01:28:07):
You are you guys doing? You don't get into the
middle of like all the other stuff.
Speaker 1 (01:28:14):
Now y'all better say capping.
Speaker 8 (01:28:15):
If somebody asked that question, yeah, y'all just and then
come back and you need this bace and something.
Speaker 1 (01:28:20):
I was not the first person to say that I'm
gonna get hurt your ship. It's so funny.
Speaker 3 (01:28:24):
I love her shut out there, but no, I wasn't
the first person to say he was musty one of
his fans when he did a hosting in like Detroit somewhere,
I think it was remember that. And then when he
came to wilding out and he put his side, hugged
me with the arm and known' you know, I added,
somebody musty like you know what sense they hug you
And I was smiling my shoulder. I thought it was me,
(01:28:44):
but I'm like, nah, that's the shoulder that that meat
was on.
Speaker 1 (01:28:47):
And then I went and I did.
Speaker 3 (01:28:53):
Because I kept smelling it wherever I go. I'm like, yo,
why I wasn't musty earlier? Why am I musty now?
Speaker 10 (01:28:59):
One other one?
Speaker 1 (01:29:00):
I'm like, na ah.
Speaker 3 (01:29:02):
Meach was on me the whole game like he was
you know what I mean, like as a home. He
wasn't trying to be with me nothing, but like he
was just chilling on me.
Speaker 2 (01:29:10):
Why couldn't just emphatically say nah, my brother, don't think
that's what he said. He took a drink, nobody drink.
Speaker 1 (01:29:20):
Said he'd be hard at work.
Speaker 8 (01:29:22):
This is what me I want you to say, cap
immediately they come back to I would never.
Speaker 1 (01:29:25):
Say that about any of y'all, even you.
Speaker 2 (01:29:28):
I definitely tell y'all say that in the room.
Speaker 1 (01:29:31):
I would tell you say that when people don't think,
so I know you what somebody.
Speaker 20 (01:29:37):
Think and don't know they would you do an interview
and be like, yeah, they think, yes he will. Would
you tell if you're a you'd be sitting down with
all these people rolling shots.
Speaker 2 (01:29:46):
Musty yes you, because I'm sure I would have already
told the person.
Speaker 1 (01:29:51):
Only y'all since in house, I would never tell nobody.
Speaker 4 (01:29:54):
If you know, Charlamagne has told people during.
Speaker 3 (01:29:56):
Interviews that they don't smell like a couple of days,
like lie, must hear wait what he told Donald?
Speaker 4 (01:30:06):
Like, you don't really smell too fresh, you just so little.
Speaker 18 (01:30:08):
Just keep secret if a guests come, we keep it
to ourselves absolutely at different it was hard.
Speaker 2 (01:30:15):
It was hard to not notice that.
Speaker 3 (01:30:18):
Really I was you didn't even say it like smart,
but I was just mad like he said it anyway.
Speaker 1 (01:30:24):
I was like, oh my god, And he was like
really like come on man, like he's like no.
Speaker 14 (01:30:28):
Fly flying around.
Speaker 8 (01:30:32):
Years ago, but you don't smell too fresh today.
Speaker 1 (01:30:35):
But listen.
Speaker 3 (01:30:36):
The moral of the story for this is we have
to normalize telling our friends when they do have an
odor because it's like, yo, he made up the whole
freedo thing. What means you like, I don't even eat
free thos, you know what I mean? Like, what if
you say that that's that was the nice way of saying.
He do think he smelled like a bag of chips,
like a beg of friscu feet.
Speaker 2 (01:30:56):
Now, I do think that when it comes to men
and women dynamics, there's certain olders I'm gonna talk about,
like if it's sure it's musty shore, when that b
B be hitting, Okay, that's woman.
Speaker 3 (01:31:09):
Continue, Or if you able to tell somebody is on
their minstrel, that's the one the woman pull it to
the side.
Speaker 1 (01:31:15):
Look, but what if it's somebody you don't care about
that sanitary nap being soiled?
Speaker 8 (01:31:22):
I got another one to you.
Speaker 16 (01:31:23):
Here you go.
Speaker 1 (01:31:24):
You know what I mean?
Speaker 4 (01:31:24):
You might want to say or something that we have
to Yes.
Speaker 1 (01:31:28):
We have to normalize doing that.
Speaker 20 (01:31:30):
You could just be like, hey, I think you got
to go to the bathroom and freshing up and then
just hand the sanitani.
Speaker 29 (01:31:35):
What if they ran out.
Speaker 1 (01:31:35):
Thoughts, hair is a fresh one.
Speaker 3 (01:31:37):
I bought some just because you didn't, because obviously she
went out. You know, she went that one pass the
time because she didn't have another one.
Speaker 2 (01:31:43):
I would pay to see a woman be like, hey,
you know you got a little older, and she'd be
like really, and then the girl be like period poop.
My god, I know period smells this.
Speaker 1 (01:31:55):
Jesus damn.
Speaker 2 (01:32:01):
Everybody, grow up. I know that is the latest with Lauren.
Speaker 1 (01:32:05):

Williams and Marla Wayne.
