Speaker 1 (00:01):
The toys.
Speaker 2 (00:02):
I'm a homegirl that knows a little bit about everything
and everybody.
Speaker 3 (00:06):
I don't know if you don't lie about that, right,
Lauren canme in.
Speaker 1 (00:09):
Hey, y'all, what's up.
Speaker 2 (00:10):
It's Lauren l Rosa and this is the latest with
Laura le Rosa. This is your Deily dig on all
things pop culture, entertainment, news and all of the conversations
that shake the room.
Speaker 1 (00:20):
Baby.
Speaker 2 (00:21):
Now, we've been on go this week, y'all. We have
been in la We have been all over. But take
you guys back outside again for the latest, because lately
people have been having a conversation about Clarissa Shields, the
female quote one of the greatest fighters of our time
right now, announced yesterday on CBS Mornings that she has
(00:42):
signed an eight million dollar fight contract with her former
promotional group, Salita Promotions. Because at her last fight, she
told us she was out of her contract, she was
trying to figure things out. Well, she says that she
now has this eight million dollar contract, and she invited
a bunch of press here in New York to come
and sit down with her have a conversation about what
that deal looks like and what her future in boxing
(01:04):
looks like. So I have some exclusive clips for you guys.
I'm taking the latest right on into the luncheon. Now,
let's talk to Clarissa a bit about what the deal
structure looks like overall. But I do have to actually
talked about exploring a bunch of different offers.
Speaker 1 (01:16):
Was MVP on the table? Did they offer you anything?
Speaker 4 (01:18):
Yes, Listen, I had talks and negotiations with MVP with Matchroom,
who was with Eddie Hearn, MVP who was with Jake
Paul and Nikisa Balderian. I had talked with Eddie Hearn,
who's with Matchroom. I had talks with my promoter Salita,
and then I had talked with Salita and Win Promotions together.
So it was, like I said, one, nobody had a
(01:43):
terrible deal, if that makes sense. Like I think everybody
came witty, and MVP definitely came witty.
Speaker 1 (01:47):
I'm not gonna say that they didn't. But what does
that mean? What was the number? It wasn't eight million?
How far was it? How far was you mean? How
far away from a million was that? Where we are
we in the ballpark?
Speaker 2 (02:00):
Was it over five million dollars as a minimum as.
Speaker 1 (02:04):
A minimum or as a total. You could either one
of them.
Speaker 4 (02:06):
I've mended my relationship with with MVP, so I don't
want to throw somebody under the bus. I feel like
everybody put their best foot forward, and Slita and Wynn
came with the.
Speaker 2 (02:16):
Best offer, and of course I had to ask her.
She's talking about four fights? Who are you going to fight?
I feel like Leaila Ali is out the window. She's
already told me you got her last episode when she
talked to me at the Ebony Power one hundred and said,
de Laila, thing isn't happening.
Speaker 1 (02:30):
So girl, who are you about to fight? Let's take
a listen.
Speaker 4 (02:34):
It's some man people that I can think of because
I can go up and down up in the weight divisions.
Right now, I think my next fight will be up
at heavyweight. I think my next two will be at heavyweight,
which is one seventy five. And like I said, I
would love to have a fight with Mikhaela Mayor up
at one sixty one fifty four.
Speaker 1 (02:49):
And it's other girls to fight.
Speaker 4 (02:51):
You know, we got Franchion Crude, Shagreen, Shae knee Lee,
Danielle Perkins. Mmmm, that's Mikhayla Mary already. Yeah, like, it's
some good competition out there. But I've already beat whoever
they considered the best. But now these girls are who
they consider the best now, so I guess I'll have
to fight against them now.
Speaker 2 (03:16):
One of the things that I thought was just like,
you know, a big conversation of the luncheon, Clarissa talked
a lot about the fact that a lot of people
were not trying to give her what she was worth.
She went through a lot of deals, structures, a lot
of conversations, and pet Pooss was right by her side.
She says that if it were not for pet Poos
and the introduction that he made between her Win Records
(03:39):
and bringing everybody together and helping to figure out the
structure of her business deal, she wouldn't have been looking
at this eight million dollar minimum that she's talking about.
Let's take a listen to her talk about pet Poos
and his role in all of this.
Speaker 4 (03:51):
Like I said, it wouldn't even have been a conversation
between me and when had Pap not been there. You know,
since I've met Pap and we've been together over a
years now, he introduced me to Win Records, and I've
been to some of they sold out freaking concerts and
it's been like a movie. And they were able to
come to two of my fights, and it's been a movie.
And I think that, you know, we've been Branson, who
(04:13):
is the head of Winning Records, Pat Poos is the
executive director. So he's like, you know, he's the execut
he's the executive whatever.
Speaker 1 (04:21):
Y'all want to call him.
Speaker 4 (04:22):
But he's like, he helps make sure that the record
company run how it's supposed to run. He's very influential
in getting the artists to the UH to perform at
the at the concerts. He negotiates the contracts like his
had been for a reasons because he's very smart. But
when we see what we did together in my last fight,
because there was so many things that were falling apart
at the last minute, you know, and it was like
(04:42):
everything that fell apart path was right there. It's like
I'm just complaining, like, oh my god, I gotta make
this call, I gotta do this, I gotta do that
because I'm my own like Selina's my promoter. But it's
like I'm also a self promoter, you know what I'm saying,
Like I'm you ain't worry about me, I'm promote myself
and I just remember, like, man, I don't even know
who to call for this, and I'm center being in
the PAP and He's like, I got it, don't worry
about it, and I'm.
Speaker 1 (05:02):
Like what he like, I got it?
Speaker 3 (05:03):
Now.
Speaker 2 (05:03):
It's great to hear from Pat Poofs because as this
last year has been happening for them, y'all know, it
was a fallout with Remyma, who Pat Poofs legally is
still married to, but they're no longer together. He is
in a relationship with Clarissa Shields, and during that fallout
we found out that they, Clarissa Shields and Pat Poos
were even involved with one another.
Speaker 1 (05:22):
But there has been.
Speaker 2 (05:23):
Various narratives around the relationship, you know, uh, the fact
that you know, financially, what is his role, what does
he do?
Speaker 1 (05:30):
What does he not do?
Speaker 2 (05:31):
A lot of that came from the back and forth
with remy Ma, where Remy you know, made allegations that
financially Pat Poos is living off of Clarissa Shields. Now,
in this press conference, Patpooss spoke up about a lot
of different things. So he talked about Clarissa Shilds being
a love of his life, and just the impact that
this deal and that her career has on fighting.
Speaker 1 (05:52):
Let's say a listen, where is the love of my life?
Speaker 3 (05:56):
So I already knew once I bring these two together,
it's amazing. And I was able to introduce them to
each other, and we just kept working over the years.
She became and she found us up in a position
when she was a free agent, and there was a
no bringer because I already know she's in great hands
with my family over here, and I've seen the history
that she made with Dmitri, So bringing all these people together,
(06:16):
I'm just blessed and happy that I was able to
do that. She deserved every dime and here we y' all,
so once again, congratulations to the Queen.
Speaker 4 (06:25):
I love you.
Speaker 2 (06:29):
But then, of course we got a one on one
sit down with Pap Hooos and he talked to me
about a ton of things, including the narrative around his relationship.
Speaker 1 (06:36):
Let's head goes to the path.
Speaker 3 (06:37):
It disappoints me that all right, Kat Williams had did
a stand up one time and out of no way,
I never met Kat Williams. And he said, and when
he was doing a stand up, he said, Yo, why
y'all don't fuck with pap popes like he ain't never
do nothing but g shit. He never did nothing but
real shit, and me and him never even met. So
I just bring that up to say that what I've
(06:58):
done being in this game for so long, never selling
my soul, never back door, and never doing no Sorry,
I'm disappointed that some of y'all would actually believe some
of that foolishness. Very disappointed. So it doesn't upset me.
But for those who know me cool, the newcomers, the
casuals who don't know no better, I get it. But
those of y'all who know me very disappointing that you
(07:18):
would even jack some of that because it makes no
sense at all.
Speaker 2 (07:22):
Now if you guys have not taken anything else from
this conversation, Baby Clarissa shows is rich as hell, so
it doesn't matter in my.
Speaker 1 (07:31):
Opinion, who's giving what, who's doing what.
Speaker 2 (07:33):
She's also she seems very happy and very content in
her relationship as well, you know, as far as we
can see.
Speaker 1 (07:39):
And one of the things I walked away with learning.
Speaker 2 (07:41):
Yesterday is you got to stand up for what you
want and who you want, because if you don't, you
walk away with nothing.
Speaker 1 (07:47):
I'm Lorne La Rosa.
Speaker 2 (07:48):
This has been the latest with Lorna Rosa, and I

these things, but y'all choose to be.
Speaker 1 (07:58):
