Wine, blow the whistle, thank you. Gronk signs the one

Speaker 1 (02:14):
Uh so grow much and people are starting negotiating one
day deal.
Speaker 3 (02:23):
That's funny.
Speaker 1 (02:24):
One of the other things I saw was I am
obsessed with getting a Bob Ross painting. I don't have one.
There's a reason I don't have one, because they're very expensive.
I look back and I got into an auction once
for one, and I was bidding, and the person that
ended up winning ended up paying like sixty seven thousand
(02:45):
dollars for the painting. And this is a year ago.
I didn't get up to sixty seven thousand. I think
I got up to pay like forty something, and I
was like, I don't expect it to get this high,
and I'm going to bow out. But it was like
a year and a half ago. It would have been
the best investment I ever made, really, because now I'm
seeing them. And there was a story worry about Bob Ross,
and we talked about it on The Bobby Bone Show
where the first three Bob Ross paintings were auctioned opt
(03:08):
to benefit TV stations run by basically PBS, and those
three sold for six hundred thousand dollars altogether. The paintings
are part of a collection of thirty works of art
by the Late Joy of Painting artists that hit the
auction block. The first painting sold it was titled Winner's
Piece from a nineteen ninety three episode. It sold for
(03:30):
three hundred and eighteen thousand. The second sold, called Home
in the Valley, for two hundred twenty nine thousand, and
a third titled cliff Side, went for one hundred and
fourteen thousand. The entire collection is up for auction, Mike.
When we saw it last time, the auction was not up.
They were just talking about the auction being up. Is
it up online where we can see where the items are?
Speaker 3 (03:53):
I believe.
Speaker 1 (03:54):
I think, let me see if you can find it.
Speaker 3 (03:56):
I'll get back in the mix. I would love to
have one of these pay that much. No, okay, but
I think those went that high because that they were.
Speaker 4 (04:04):
The first and the first ones, because there have to
be tons of them.
Speaker 1 (04:09):
Now there's a lot. But the problem is like the
one that I read about the nineteen ninety three episode,
that's not his first one.
Speaker 4 (04:15):
No, no, but see it's deceiving because he looks like
he was painting in the Seven Days but I remember
like watching him on TV, and I think it was
when it was live, right, so like in the eighties
he was painting live obviously, because he has one from
the nineties.
Speaker 1 (04:30):
The first painting sold and it was Winner's piece that
he painted during a nineteen ninety three episode. And maybe
they're not even selling them in order, maybe just because
it was first and went for the highest. It's like
we do this Calcutta for NCAA basketball and it's all excuse.
If you get in early, they costs different. The same
team way later is way more expensive because I always just
trying to get teams. I don't know, but I would
(04:51):
like to buy one of.
Speaker 4 (04:52):
Cos that'd be awesome.
Speaker 3 (04:53):
Nineteen eighty three. By the way, January when it premiered,
was then. I wonder if this was a type of
That's what I'm thinking too, because.
Speaker 1 (04:58):
It says ninety three regardless my dream and I said
I was going to put on our baby registry. Bob
ros Bay, Yeah, because the last time when we got married,
we got married, the registering thing was weird for us
because I felt guilty saying, hey, people buy me something
because at this point in my life may be different later.
(05:21):
But I have plenty money, and I didn't want people
buying me things. And it was brought to my attention
that people, because of what our culture teaches us, they're
going to buy you something anyway for your wedding, so
you might as well register for stuff so it makes
it easier on them to buy you something. So I
was like, okay, that makes sense, so I'll register. So
we went to all these places, including crighton barrel, which,
(05:44):
by the way, crate and barrel not cheat.
Speaker 3 (05:47):
No, it's not crates and barrels both cheap. Crate and
barrel not cheat together.
Speaker 1 (05:54):
No, So we start looking or we're just doing stuff,
towels and pillows and coffee mugs, they got it all.
And there was this couch that I was like, that
couch is awesome, and my wife goes, don't do the couch,
and I'm like, nobody's gonna buy the couch. She said,
don't do the couch. I said, well, I won't do
(06:14):
the couch in a way that because you can do
certain things and people can like donate partially towards it,
I won't do the couch in that respect, I said.
But I'm gonna do this fourteen thousand dollars couch because
I thought nobody would buy it. But if they did, jackpot.
But I really didn't think anyone would buy it. I
was like, for me, let me just put the couch
(06:36):
on there.
Speaker 3 (06:36):
But you actually did like the couch, Like it wasn't
like a bit right, The couch was awesome, Okay, just.
Speaker 4 (06:42):
This couch.
Speaker 1 (06:42):
Ever, well, Jo, it's not like you see it and
you're like, I'm blown away by the couch. But I
really liked the couch. Ok it wasn't. I wouldn't paid
that kind of money for the couch, trust me. But
I really did like the couch, and so I beeped it.
And all our shof starts coming in for our registring,
a lot of coffee cops, a lot of towels.
Speaker 3 (07:02):
A lot of just whatever.
Speaker 1 (07:03):
I got you a juicer, you did, I expend them
on like three hundred bucks. Yeah, man, I appreciate that.
Speaker 4 (07:07):
Thanks sacrifice for that.
Speaker 1 (07:09):
I'll send you a card. But I appreciate that. And
the couch shows up. Oh my, the couch shows up.
And not only does the couch show up, there's no
name on the couch. I don't know who sent the couch.
So I call Creighton Barrel and I go, hey, who
sent the couch? We don't know what you're telling me.
(07:32):
Somebody paid fourteen thousand dollars for a couch and didn't
send a card.
Speaker 3 (07:38):
They didn't.
Speaker 1 (07:39):
Can you tell me who's credit card? We We can't because.
Speaker 3 (07:41):
People could use that. Give you the number.
Speaker 1 (07:43):
Yeah, And so I have this fourteen thousand dollars couch
and I have nobody who is taking credit for it
or sending a text going did you get my couch?
Speaker 3 (07:54):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (07:54):
And so now I'm in the awkward place of having
a really expensive, awesome couch, not knowing who to say
thank you to. So then the more awkward place of
me having to text people, going.
Speaker 3 (08:05):
You send me a couch.
Speaker 1 (08:07):
So I just started like texting my friends will also
have money.
Speaker 4 (08:11):
But Edie.
Speaker 3 (08:14):
Said the juicer, Yes, I never got a text. Yes,
he didn't get a text. Sorry.
Speaker 1 (08:21):
So mostly I'm texting like Derek Spentley. I'm texting Jaco
and people who I know have money.
Speaker 3 (08:27):
Ronnie Dunn was a person I thought of, Yeah, I.
Speaker 1 (08:29):
Text Ronnie, Hey, it's a weird thing because they're gonna
go no. But what about what I said? It just
all of it felt weird, and so my wife's like,
I know, Senate, should we give up finally? And I
don't want to say exactly who sent it, but I'll
give you enough of information that it makes the story fulfilling.
(08:53):
We have a friend who knows a lot of people
very connected, and we said, hey, here's the list of
everybody was in body our wedding.
Speaker 3 (09:02):
I need to know who sent the couch. And she goes, okay,
I make a couple of calls.
Speaker 1 (09:07):
She made a couple of calls, and she was like,
it was your CEO or CFO they sent the couch.
She told me specifically.
Speaker 6 (09:13):
Who it was.
Speaker 1 (09:13):
Okay, so that one of the heads of our companies
since couch and so then but it took like a
month of us going investigation. And this is awkward to
text somebody being that. So anyway, I'm gonna do the
Bob Ross painting and if you guys send it, let
me know. If you're the one who buys us for me,
please send your name on a card that said I
bought you the Bob Ross painting.
Speaker 3 (09:31):
If you do it as like a contributing thing where
I'll pitch a little bit in here and there. Yeah,
I got five on it.
Speaker 4 (09:36):
So what did your wife say when you got the couch?
Was she like, wow, okay, you win.
Speaker 1 (09:39):
No, she was like, I can't believe you did this.
I can't believe you put a fourteen thousand dollars couch.
And I was like, I didn't think you may buy
it for us.
Speaker 4 (09:47):
I didn't know.
Speaker 1 (09:49):
What I think happened is that this extremely high ranking
executive at our company probably said, hey to his assistant,
I go, and he's important to the company. Just get
the most expensive thing on there. Thinking it's like a juicer.
Speaker 4 (10:07):
Held the story, I think, and that would make it funny.
Speaker 1 (10:10):
But they're like, okay, so they hit the let's toggle
and let's do it from most expensive down. There's a couch,
all right, he says, by the couch, But he said,
all of a sudden, couch shows up. Spend a month
wondering who it was.
Speaker 3 (10:20):
Have you ever asked this person about it?
Speaker 5 (10:22):
Oh?
Speaker 3 (10:22):
No, I did. I sent a message.
Speaker 1 (10:23):
I was like, thank you so much for the couch.
That was very generous.
Speaker 3 (10:27):
That's exactly what happened. He was like, I'm so happy
that's what it was.
Speaker 4 (10:32):
Wow. What interesting?
Speaker 3 (10:34):
Wow?
Speaker 1 (10:35):
Yeah, because I was like, I really love the couch
and he was like, oh, I'm so happy you got
I'm so happy. That's what it was. It was something
you you know. Oh no, no, no, I don't think
he knew. He didn't know, no, no chance, Yeah he
didn't know. But I don't think that was enough money
to affect I don't know, five minutes of his day. Yeah, yeah,
but it was awesome. So it just you guys, So
you guys know it felt awesome. So the feeling you're
gonna give me when you give me this Bob Ross painting,
(10:56):
Like what do you see?
Speaker 7 (10:57):
I found two more that are up for auction and
eleven day and where are we at right now? One
of them is at thirty two thousand, then the others
at thirty four and where what's the website?
Speaker 3 (11:07):
It is called Bottoms Okay, if.
Speaker 1 (11:10):
You'll just send me that link, I'll hop in for this, okay. So,
but it's eleven days and nobody really bids in the
first X amount of days for any auction, even like
an eBay deal.
Speaker 4 (11:18):
Oh you don't.
Speaker 1 (11:19):
It all gets run up at the end.
Speaker 4 (11:20):
So what how does run me by? Like the how
it all works? Like I've never done in auction? I
think the only thing I've ever done is like an
eBay auction where right, exactly, say so, it's all electronic
online and your click click click, or is this a
work where when you click you're you think you're the
last clicker? It extends the time?
Speaker 1 (11:37):
Oh, great question, because I've done different sites like Golden
they do a deal because I've bought a bunch of
memorabilia from Golden, and I think with Golden it ends,
and then there is a extra like thirty minutes for
everybody that was in on it. You can't jump in
from outside.
Speaker 4 (11:56):
Ah, got it. If you're already in the war, in
the bidding war.
Speaker 1 (11:59):
I'll get to keep going for thirty minutes. But it
also eliminates people from getting in and jacking it up
that really weren't a part of the bidding process.
Speaker 3 (12:05):
I got it.
Speaker 1 (12:06):
There are other ones though, that do like you buy
and it's like broop another ten minutes, broop another ten minutes,
And that's really the smart way to do it because
you're gonna keep it going long.
Speaker 3 (12:16):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (12:17):
But eBay just ends on it, you know, thirty minutes,
ten minutes, thirty minutes, two seconds.
Speaker 3 (12:21):
Boom done.
Speaker 4 (12:21):
Have you ever been on something, and maybe it was
the Bob Ross. The first time you're a bid on
something where you're like this is way too high, like, please,
somebody outbid me.
Speaker 1 (12:29):
The first time I tried to get a Caitlin Clark
first game ten rating signed ticket, it was up to
like four thousand dollars and I was bidding and I
made it into the final thirty minutes and I went
to like five thousand, and I was like, then you
just start being competitive. But the problem is you don't
(12:50):
even know who it is. Yeah, even if you win,
even if you win, you can't be like I got
your sucker.
Speaker 3 (12:54):
Now. Competing gets nobody.
Speaker 1 (12:57):
So you start to feel competitive. And it got up
to like eleven thousand dollars. Ooh that's and I remember
putting in at like ninety five or ten thousand, going
this is stupid. I shouldn't do this, but I'll do
it one more time. And then I got out bed
and I was like, screw them, I'll do it one
more time. So I started to know that it wasn't
right for me, but I did it a couple more.
(13:19):
I lost that one. It went for like eleven to five.
Now the real beauty or the stupidity depending on how
it ends up. I think there was only like four tens,
which means perfect condition. Slabbed first game ever, Caitlin Clark
signed tickets. Another one came up for auction, and I'm like,
I'm in, but I'm not getting in till the end.
(13:42):
So then you have to put a ribbon on it
and go back yourself, because once you bid it, I'll
tell you via text if you get out bid.
Speaker 3 (13:48):
And so I put a.
Speaker 1 (13:49):
Phone reminder, put a ribbon on it, and I went
and it was ending and it was like twenty eight
one hundred three thousand, and I was like, oh man,
I put a bid in with like five minutes left.
I just wanted to get to the extra time. I
was willing to go in my mind as wanting to
go up to like eight or nine thousand, and so
I went in and ended up getting our fifty six hundred. Wow,
I I got it half the price half the price.
(14:11):
And I think a lot of it depends on because
it was only a week difference. I think a lot
of it depends on like what idiots are on there
bidding right at that time. I think if I'd have
been against that same person, if he'd a hop back on,
he'd outbid that, but he already had one. So I
got that. I have it, and it was like fifty
six hundred bucks.
Speaker 3 (14:28):
And I have it.
Speaker 1 (14:28):
And who said, I say stupid? It could be worth
fifty bucks in a week. There was one guy who
bought like a Babe Ruth Rookie photo. He lost three
million dollars on it because he bought it years ago
and then he resold it, not because he needed to,
he just thought the time was right, and he lost
three million, three million dollars.
Speaker 4 (14:44):
But whoever bought I got a deal.
Speaker 1 (14:46):
Possibly unless the card market, the collectible market, it's tough.
And I bought stuff with no the stuff that I
really loved, with no intention of selling, at least not
in the next few years. And I have my most
important stuff at a safe downtown in a bank. What's
the pin exactly?
Speaker 3 (15:06):
Did you see the Fanatics billboard with the four jerseys,
so they put up which for to promote their thing
in New York that we went to the last year
or whatever. The Yeah it's Joe Montana, sho Hey, Tany
Peyton Manning and Johnny Unitis. Were they selling those like
an auction. Yeah, and I believe it's the it's they're
calling it like the most expensive billboard. It's one point
(15:27):
five million bucks worth of memorabilia up there.
Speaker 1 (15:30):
It's on the billboard. It's on they actually put it
on the billboard. Oh dang, you have security then watching
the billboard.
Speaker 4 (15:35):
At all times.
Speaker 1 (15:36):
Yeah, yeah, that's crazy.
Speaker 8 (15:38):
Okay.
Speaker 1 (15:38):
Anyway, Bob Ross, you guys want to get it for me,
I will not. I'm not good accepting gifts, but you
know what, I'll bite the bullet. I'll be humble and
I'll accept it.
Speaker 4 (15:47):
Dude, Bob Ross will be amazing to have at your house.
And they're probably not even big, right, No, they're just
like standard size canvas. Yeah, wo'd be amazing, all right.
Speaker 1 (15:58):
This guy spent over a half million dollars acid injections.
They gave him fake abs.
Speaker 4 (16:02):
Baller, that is baller.
Speaker 1 (16:04):
I wouldn't do that. Feels painful acid. If you're going
to go through that, I hope you get what you
were looking for.
Speaker 4 (16:10):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (16:11):
An influencer spent five hundred and sixty thousand dollars on
acid injections to create an eight pack. Andy Tinen says
he had already completed a forty percent of his goal
to reach ten thousand acid injections total. He claims his
fake abs look natural and haven't merged together, but he
plans to apply for a Guinness World Record if they
(16:32):
last three years. I don't know, but you know what, dude,
you worked hard for that money. Shout out you.
Speaker 4 (16:38):
Yeah, man, spending on what you love.
Speaker 3 (16:39):
At least is an eight pack, not just six.
Speaker 1 (16:41):
It fills though, like in ten years with whatever disease,
all the acid being injected to his body. What it creates,
you're gonna be like, Oh man, you.
Speaker 4 (16:48):
Ever had abs like good abs, like where you just
like boom, you look like a washing board.
Speaker 3 (16:54):
You've known me to have good abs.
Speaker 1 (16:56):
Have you ever watched Dancing with a story broke? My
shirt's off in some of that stuff and you literally
can see my ass?
Speaker 4 (17:02):
Well, would you pick with spray paint them for the
show and know when you're gonna do that?
Speaker 6 (17:05):
No?
Speaker 1 (17:06):
Because I feel like spray paint and then you put
lights on it. You see the spray paint.
Speaker 3 (17:11):
Yeah, if you do ten, it's better.
Speaker 4 (17:14):
So yeah, I had pretty good apps.
Speaker 3 (17:16):
Had eight out.
Speaker 1 (17:17):
Of ten apps?
Speaker 4 (17:19):
What there's ten?
Speaker 3 (17:20):
Nope? Scaling? Oh okay, you had your chest.
Speaker 1 (17:28):
I got like two and a half now. But what
sucks is about having my foot in a freaking cast.
Speaker 3 (17:33):
I can do nothing.
Speaker 1 (17:34):
Yeah, like I just feel like I'm eating And what
you got over there?
Speaker 5 (17:37):
Brain?
Speaker 3 (17:37):
Look at that, dude? Come on, oh yeah you got
some apps there?
Speaker 4 (17:41):
Look at that?
Speaker 6 (17:42):
Yeah?
Speaker 4 (17:44):
Now, sorry, dude, I didn't man, I didn't realize you
dance without a shirt. They just had an open jacket.
Speaker 1 (17:48):
I didn't want to do that, and they were like,
you you should dance with no shirt because every you know,
we have guys that do it.
Speaker 3 (17:53):
I'm like, I want to dance.
Speaker 4 (17:54):
I don't remember that and maybe I didn't look oh Bobby,
a lot of shirt covered.
Speaker 1 (18:00):
They built my confidence up. They were like, dude, you
look great. I'm like, I don't know, it's not really
not me and they're like, no, I think you'll be
really happy with yourself if you after you look at
it your later. The producers so now I am they
were right as of right now, they were right. I'm
looking back and look at that gay.
Speaker 4 (18:15):
You got a gold chain and everything.
Speaker 1 (18:17):
It might have been like empty hammer week or something.
Speaker 3 (18:20):
And just to clarify, I don't I don't just have a.
Speaker 1 (18:23):
Yes it's your screen.
Speaker 4 (18:25):
Yeah, it's your favorite.
Speaker 1 (18:26):
This was a graphic that I made.
Speaker 3 (18:28):
I'm also thin, nice, thin, very naturally not.
Speaker 4 (18:32):
Very What are you saying very? You were at that point?
You were thin?
Speaker 7 (18:34):
Dude?
Speaker 1 (18:34):
Well, we were worried.
Speaker 4 (18:36):
Because everybody shut up you at that time, like around
that period of your life, dancing for eighteen hours a day,
I know. And you would give me clothes and be
like cool, thank you, And I still like, dude, I
can't wear that stuff. That's how thin you were, extra extra,
extra small.
Speaker 1 (18:51):
Yeah, well that's funny. That hurts my feelings and funny
the same time. So we do yea, what do we
want to do for the parlor?
Speaker 3 (18:58):
Who wants in? I mean I'm in.
Speaker 4 (19:00):
I'm in, not me, But I want you guys to
admit something.
Speaker 3 (19:03):
Oh, here we go.
Speaker 4 (19:05):
I want you to admit that it's a little harder
than it looks.
Speaker 3 (19:08):
I looked up.
Speaker 1 (19:09):
I'm six for seven this year in the parlay. Oh
that's pretty good of one when we do one, So
I'm six or seven, it's pretty good. I'm not saying
I'm gonna hit every time, but I will not admit that.
Speaker 4 (19:19):
Okay, Kevin, But it is hard number.
Speaker 1 (19:21):
It is harder than it looks.
Speaker 4 (19:22):
And then when you miss, when you're the one that
breaks the.
Speaker 1 (19:25):
Leg incorrect, when you do it over and over and
over and over and over and over and over.
Speaker 4 (19:30):
Again, it's then you go, yeah, I got you, all.
Speaker 3 (19:34):
Right, So we'll do triangle one more time.
Speaker 1 (19:35):
L's three.
Speaker 3 (19:35):
Let's do it.
Speaker 1 (19:36):
We'll run. We'll be black boys, We'll be Phil Jackson. Yeah,
we're on the triangle off.
Speaker 3 (19:40):
Yeah, running it through you, Bobby.
Speaker 1 (19:42):
Run running through me, Kevin, you can go first.
Speaker 4 (19:46):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (19:46):
I'm gonna go to the same team I did last week. Alabama.
They lost to Oklahoma last year and it ruined their season.
They got spanked. Actually, so I think it's redemption time
and they pull it out minus six. So Bama minus
six versus Oklahoma. All right, Brandon, I got ole Miss
minus fourteen over Florida.
Speaker 1 (20:04):
Where's that game?
Speaker 4 (20:06):
I believe it's in Florida.
Speaker 3 (20:09):
It's at there a reason you picked out it's at
ole Miss.
Speaker 1 (20:12):
Oh, it's at there. You go, Oh, you have Florida
number seven, Oh Miss minus fourteen and a half. So
you have ole Miss minus fourteen and a half. Yeah,
all right, I'm going back to the well I didn't
go to the well last week, so that's not the game.
Im miss, I missed a different one, behalf one. I'm
going Indiana minus twenty eight and a half. They're playing
at Indiana versus Wisconsin. I think Indiana. I don't think
they're embarrassed because they won, but I think they didn't
like the fact they didn't win. Dominantly almost lost that game.
(20:35):
They needed to drive at the end of the game.
I'm going Indiana minus twenty eight and a half in
Indiana against Wisconsin.
Speaker 3 (20:41):
There you go.
Speaker 1 (20:42):

Speaker 3 (21:41):
You won King of the Court again, Yeah, dude, twice.
Speaker 4 (21:44):
So what I'm basically King of the Court?
Speaker 3 (21:46):
Same you hit it to?
Speaker 1 (21:47):
Okay, explain it.
Speaker 3 (21:49):
I just ruined it. Kings of the Court.
Speaker 4 (21:52):
Kings of the Court.
Speaker 3 (21:53):
But if you have two kings, you don't have one.
Speaker 1 (21:55):
It's not heard.
Speaker 4 (21:56):
And the fact that Brandon wanted to is probably the
reason why we didn't get that much money in bonus bets.
But so everybody that wins it, you split a million dollars.
So the more people that win it in bets are
real money in bonus bets.
Speaker 1 (22:08):
Got it?
Speaker 4 (22:09):
Which is cool? It's awesome, right, it's.
Speaker 3 (22:11):
How do you win it?
Speaker 1 (22:11):
What's the thing?
Speaker 4 (22:13):
You pick a player on Tuesday nights. Out of the
games that's usually about five games, you pick one player
to get the most points plus rebounds plus assists. Once
you combine all that stuff, whoever has the most of
those you win. You win your bet one and then
you become king of the court, which is a split
of the million dollars.
Speaker 1 (22:33):
When you had two weeks ago. Who'd you have two
weeks ago?
Speaker 4 (22:35):
Was Giannis?
Speaker 3 (22:36):
And that's when you woke up and just had all
that money.
Speaker 4 (22:38):
It's awesome, dude.
Speaker 1 (22:39):
And then who'd you hit this week?
Speaker 4 (22:41):
We hit Jokic. We hit Jokicic.
Speaker 1 (22:46):
So what do you what? You guys end up getting
a bonus bets.
Speaker 4 (22:47):
Twenty six bucks, which Giannis I ended up getting like
a lot of.
Speaker 1 (22:52):
I bet you A lot of people bet on Jokic
and that's why.
Speaker 3 (22:55):
Yeah, yeah, he's got to be the favorite to be
bet every Tuesday if he's playing.
Speaker 1 (22:58):
For sure, right, got O cool?
Speaker 3 (23:00):
Congratulations?
Speaker 4 (23:01):
Thanks? If you ever tried it, I'll remind I'll send
you a text on Tuesdays.
Speaker 1 (23:05):
I don't bet a bunch of basketball, so I don't
even if it has a basketball, I don't even really look.
Speaker 4 (23:09):
At it any basketball on it.
Speaker 1 (23:11):
I don't really Yeah, I don't really I bet Arkansas
if they're playing. I only bet school either money line
if they're the favorite, because I will never bet Arkansas
minus because I never want them to win and if
they don't cover me to be mad.
Speaker 5 (23:26):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (23:27):
So I don't bet all Arkansas games, but if they're
like a couple point underdog or if they're like a
point or two favorite, and I just go bet the
money line, I'll do that. Other than that, only bet
on basketball maybe, Like sometimes my wife watch all much
pretty much all the Thunder games. We didn't watch the
West Coast Swing because they went over and she was like,
thunderplay tonight. Oh man, they're in freaking because they went
(23:48):
and played the Clippers. They played Sacramento. I think they
lost Sacramento. No, they lost to Portland. Dude, I know
too much about regular seas and Thunder basketball. They lost
to Portland. They played, and so I can see myself
jump in on some of those just to not be bored. Yeah,
but the West Coast games we didn't watch because they
were too late.
Speaker 4 (24:04):
It was fun about NBA is like I won't do
the games. The games are so hard to bet on,
but the stats on NBA are so much fun. You know,
you agree, like, like I'll do I'll go down the board.
If there's twelve games in one night, I'll just pick
one player to hit a three pointer, one three pointer,
one three pointer, one three pointer, and go all the
way down. It's so much fun to watch, Kevin.
Speaker 1 (24:22):
I got a question for you. Yeah, as of right now,
he's not the favorite, but he's second.
Speaker 3 (24:28):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (24:28):
Bill Belichick is these what? No? Okay, go ahead when
you do that, dude, Bill Belichick is the second person,
second favorite to be the Giants head coach. You're a
massive Patriots fan.
Speaker 3 (24:42):
Hmm.
Speaker 1 (24:43):
How do you feel about possibly Belichick coming back to
the NFL with a new team.
Speaker 3 (24:47):
I would hate it. I would specifically hate it for
him to go to the.
Speaker 1 (24:51):
Giants, but I think you would hate the Jets more
because they're in the same division.
Speaker 3 (24:54):
Yes. Fair, but he already left the Jets years ago.
He won't go back there. I'm not worried about that necessarily,
But the Giants.
Speaker 1 (25:02):
Can I counterpoint you? Yeah, didn't he want a championship
with the Giants?
Speaker 3 (25:05):
Yes, in the eighties.
Speaker 1 (25:06):
So like he's already won as a coordinator with the Giants,
He's going back to where he's already been. Possibly does
that take some of this thing? Out.
Speaker 3 (25:15):
No, No, if they didn't beat us in seven and eleven,
it wouldn't hurt as bad. But they beat the Patriots
in the undefeated season and then in eleven again. But
he's always had this like weird affinity with the Giants
for obvious reasons. I guess when they won the championship
in the eighties. They play him every preseason when he
was there because he likes going to the Giants facilities
(25:35):
and hanging out with them. So it wouldn't totally shock me,
but I would hate it as a Patriot fan, it
would hurt hurt my feelings.
Speaker 1 (25:42):
You know his boat's called seven rings, Yeah, because the
sixth he had with Patriots, legit, and then the one
that he counts when he's a coordinator with the Giant. Right,
So he's always had a connection, even outwardly publicly with
the Giants.
Speaker 3 (25:54):
He I don't know how he felt. Yeah, I don't
want to see it happen at all. Again, he's not
the favorite, but he's also second.
Speaker 4 (26:01):
Do you want to see him go anywhere in the NFL?
Speaker 3 (26:04):
No, I'd want to see him just retire and go.
I'll go away like this North Carolina suff was alread
rubbed me the wrong way. I'm like, dude, just go away, Like,
let's just remember you for what you did at the Patriots,
because the last three years with the Patriots, I mean,
it was pretty bad. So it's just getting worse with
North Carolina, and I just don't want to see it
get any worse.
Speaker 1 (26:22):
Yeah, protect the legacy a bit. Yeah, I'm all for
people continuing, but if you continue over and over and
it becomes less and less successful, I think Aaron rodgers legacy.
Speaker 3 (26:31):
Is hurt for sure. Yeah.
Speaker 1 (26:33):
And Aaron Rodgers super Bowl champion, multiple time MVP awesome,
had a great career, but there's a whole generation of
people that are only gonna remember seeing old failure Aaron Rodgers,
like Tom Brady retired.
Speaker 4 (26:45):
He didn't win.
Speaker 1 (26:46):
He won Super Bowl and then didn't win the next year.
It was like you know what, I'm out. Yeah, I
think he protected his legacy. Had you had he played
three more years, sucked and sucked and sucked, because not
only are you sucking and losing, but people are going, oh,
it's the greatest of all time, and now he's sucks.
Speaker 3 (27:00):
Over and over and over again.
Speaker 4 (27:01):
The best thing too, for him is he went to
a team in won with another team completely fresh.
Speaker 1 (27:07):
Yes, and that's how he went out and that helps
to him versus Belichick argument if there is one. However,
I think there's some nuance there that he went to
a team that was a quarterback away.
Speaker 3 (27:17):
Yeah, like they had it all.
Speaker 1 (27:20):
It wasn't like he decided to pop over to the
Jets who sucked it true and led that team. So yeah,
that's what's up.
Speaker 9 (27:27):
All right.
Speaker 1 (27:27):
I'm rooting for you Belichick not to.
Speaker 4 (27:29):
Be the coach.
Speaker 3 (27:29):
Thanks, go retire man. I got my twenty bucks from
YouTube TV me too.
Speaker 4 (27:35):
What they send you a check?
Speaker 1 (27:37):
No, you had to go click an email, and everybody's
all butt her, like, I can't believe we got to
click an email? Do you get my twenty bucks? That
you just okay, you're not running a business. Of course,
it's in their best interest to go, okay, we're gonna
give everybody money back pr positive and then all you
gotta just find this email and click it because I know,
like it's a rebate. Most of us don't go chase
(27:58):
down rebates.
Speaker 4 (27:58):
No no chance.
Speaker 1 (27:59):
Some people aren't finding the email. Some people are forgetting
so they're saving money that way too. I'm not annoyed
at YouTube TV. I'm annoyed at ESPN. Yeah, yes so,
But again I kind of really don't care except for
it's affecting me. But I don't care to like vilify
either one of them. It's business.
Speaker 4 (28:17):
They're still fighting, dude.
Speaker 3 (28:19):
I don't.
Speaker 1 (28:19):
I don't get ESPN. I don't get danced with the
stars like it's the whole network. It's ABC. I don't
get anything like that. I don't get money at football.
Speaker 4 (28:27):
You think most people are just cutting ties with YouTube
and going to another provider.
Speaker 1 (28:32):
Not most, But I do think it's probably affecting them.
This is what I would compare it to.
Speaker 3 (28:39):
I think that.
Speaker 1 (28:42):
Had COVID not happened, TikTok would not be popular. Oh yeah,
because TikTok got very lucky that it existed and sort
of American launched. It already was out, but during COVID
and everybody's looking for.
Speaker 4 (28:58):
New ways when we were all bored.
Speaker 1 (29:00):
Yes, Tiger King and TikTok are the two things I
feel now like this is an odd time. And I
think because that contract was running out and ESPN, ABC
Disney wants everybody to come to their services. Now it
all happened to work out, and some of the ABC
shows are like the News, that's a whole story. ABC
(29:22):
News is heard in the ratings because people can't watch
it because there are so many people that have YouTube TV.
But I think because that contract was running out because
they launched ESPN Supernova or whatever that is where you
pay the more money to watch the anchors poop. I
don't know what it is, sports, whatever it is. I
think they're now like, we're gonna hold out because we
(29:43):
want people to get so mad at YouTube TV that
they come over and get it on who Live, get
it on Disney Plus super Bundle Live by the ESPN package.
So I think that timing is working out for ABC
to have more of a version of a monopoly because
they have they own all those platforms.
Speaker 3 (30:00):
And during football season is the hardest time because like
I don't watch much ESPN and less football season another
great example.
Speaker 1 (30:06):
The timing just happened to work out that all these
things are happening on the contract right now and they
want more people to not watch and not have YouTube
TV and subscribe to their services. That it's like the
timing is going to be great for them. For Disney,
you know, making a little.
Speaker 4 (30:19):
Money, and the fact that gambling is legal now in
most states, that you want to watch the game that
you're gambling on, and if you don't have it, like
you don't.
Speaker 3 (30:29):
Gamble, that's not true because I still do. Because I
want to tell you what.
Speaker 8 (30:32):
Happened to don't tell me. You're watching the updates on
the phone. You watch a little basketball. I watched Eagles
and Packers. I watched the cartoon players with the ball
and it moving the arrows.
Speaker 4 (30:43):
That's an all time low, man, all time low.
Speaker 1 (30:45):
Not only that, it was a terrible game. So I'm
watching a terrible game and little cartoon figure sticks.
Speaker 3 (30:51):
Yeah, with money on it. So no, yeah, no, I'm
not too good for that.
Speaker 4 (30:54):
It's it's so funny.
Speaker 3 (30:55):
There's the next animation that the NFL should do, you
know they do like SpongeBob and like a betting Traffkings
come on.
Speaker 4 (31:02):
When I was working the Chain Gang, the World Series
is going on, so I was kind of tracking the
World Series and mine is just the guy at the plate,
you know, and you see the picture.
Speaker 1 (31:09):
Cones, Hey, I'm not too good to say I've done
that too, And then you see it.
Speaker 4 (31:15):
In play You're like, Okay, what's like? What is it?
Speaker 3 (31:18):
Oh?
Speaker 1 (31:18):
Yeah, there's a brief time where you're waiting in play
and you're like being out, being out please. Uh. They
did say they're going to limit pitches.
Speaker 3 (31:27):
Do you can bet on? Oh? Because of the amount?
Speaker 6 (31:30):
Right?
Speaker 1 (31:30):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (31:30):
Two hundred Is that what it is? Yeah?
Speaker 1 (31:32):
I just saw they were limiting it. I didn't know
it was a dollar amount.
Speaker 3 (31:35):
Yeah, two hundred dollars. Well, now these guys are gonna
throway their careers for two hundred bucks.
Speaker 6 (31:38):
I know.
Speaker 9 (31:40):
It.
Speaker 3 (31:41):
Hits.
Speaker 4 (31:41):
I love those pitch bats man.
Speaker 1 (31:43):
They're fun. But dude, what was crazy? I saw a
whole cut up. I don't remember which one of the
two they got in trouble of his first pitches so obvious.
It's so because they're all in the dirt.
Speaker 4 (31:53):
Really, because he wasn't going to risk it.
Speaker 3 (31:56):
In the dirt.
Speaker 1 (31:57):
He was making five thousand, seven thousand dollars the hitch
like the first, and he had a twenty million dollar contract.
Speaker 3 (32:04):
Insane.
Speaker 1 (32:04):
Now here's what you can say, Well, what it's twenty
million dollar contract? Is not twenty million Okay? He was
making ten million bucks a year. That's about what he's
gonna make after pay. He's making ten million bucks a
year and he's still betting on five thousands. He's allowing
himself to be involved in a five thousand dollars a
pitch bet.
Speaker 4 (32:21):
Crazy, So what's the deal with him? Those pictures done?
Speaker 1 (32:24):
Yes, I think one of them is possibly going to jail.
Speaker 3 (32:27):
If not, I just saw one of them just got
arrested by the FBI. Like he landed. He came from
the Dominican Republic. I believe landed in Jersey or something.
Got arrested, shoeless Joe.
Speaker 1 (32:36):
Jackson didn't go to jail right, Well, DraftKings was just starting, yes,
so they couldn't quite catch it because the technology wasn't there.
But they do catch these people now screwing with it,
Like how are you so dumb to screw with it?
Whenever DraftKings, whomever has all the technology to know if
something that's not normally bet on is just blowed into
(32:58):
with a ton of money. But yeah, that was gambling,
shoeless Joe. Yeah, man, And I think they you know,
he took them. In my version of history that I remember,
he took the money, but played his brains.
Speaker 4 (33:09):
Out right because he actually like had some hits and.
Speaker 1 (33:12):
Yeah, yeah, like played really hard and well, but I
think he took the money. All right, I do want
to get over to our interview, and you know, we
hopped into you know, coach Key.
Speaker 3 (33:23):
I felt like it wasn't a meeting. I forgot.
Speaker 1 (33:24):
I think he might have thought we were forgot we
were interviewing him. I like coach Coach Key a lot.
Brent Key at Georgia Tech, and I feel like he
didn't know the computer was on for a minute because
it like the angle was weird, and they finally moved
in front of him.
Speaker 8 (33:36):
He was like, oh, hey, Bobby, Bobby, is that you.
Speaker 4 (33:38):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (33:40):
First, here's our talk with Georgia Tech head coach Brent Key.
Speaker 3 (33:43):
I'm a big fan.
Speaker 1 (33:44):
I think Georgia Tech if they play well, they had
to play Georgia at the end, but that will not
affect the accause obviously Georgia is an SEC team. But
I think they end up in the ACC Championship game.
ACC Man. There, it's a it's an odd place to
be because they keep losing. If Duke wins out, there's
a chance of freaking Duke because they haven't lost.
Speaker 3 (34:06):
An eight is the game, yeah, but they're like five
and four.
Speaker 1 (34:08):
Yeah, because they've lost out a conference. Yeah, so I
think in a hilarious world Duke and Georgia Tech playing
yet it would be weird. Their quarterback Haynes King, leads
the team of passing and rushing stud They also have
a real shot again in the playoff if they went
out conference wise, because again in rivalry week, their last
game is against Georgia, so we'll be rooting for him.
I like coach Brent Key a lot. Here he is
(34:30):
coach Brent Keith coach. I'd like to apologize first. I
don't know if you can see in the screen right
here on your screen, I'm full cast right now, So
if it looks like I'm laying back, you know, I'm
gutting through this game. I got a full leg cast on.
But I'm getting through this interview, like I know you'd
want me to what exactly That's right? He thought i'd
be out be injured. No, I say, what, Coach Key's
coming on, I'm I'm casting up and I'm showing up
to this interview.
Speaker 6 (34:50):
I started to say, I mean, I'd be disappointed if you.
Speaker 3 (34:52):
Did exactly I got.
Speaker 1 (34:54):
Listen, it's been a while since we've talked, and I've
been watching you guys very closely. First of all, what
kind of person, because you got Haines King's awesome, Like
I love watching him play because that dude goes as
hard as anybody that I've seen play college football since,
like a Tim Tebow type. And I know he's been
compared that way because of how he plays, but also
how hard he plays.
Speaker 3 (35:13):
What kind of guy is he?
Speaker 6 (35:15):
He's awesome. I mean, he's a guys guy.
Speaker 9 (35:18):
I mean he's he doesn't need a stranger, I should say.
I mean there's no boundaries of his relationships with people
on the team outside of the program. You know, he
has relationships with every single person, every single staff members.
He's just a natural born leader and very very rare
(35:38):
to see.
Speaker 6 (35:38):
People like him.
Speaker 1 (35:40):
Can you when you're recruiting a kid, can you see
that trait from as early as like junior year a
high school? Senior high school? Do is that developed?
Speaker 3 (35:47):
More so when once they get to you, I think
you have some.
Speaker 6 (35:50):
Sources of it already.
Speaker 9 (35:51):
I mean, you know, we went to visit him for
the first time when he was at A and M,
and he brought three of his teammates with him to
the meeting, So right then you're like, Okay, you got
some influence on guys. Now. He brought three teammates with him,
and by the end of the meeting he had all
three of them wanted to come here.
Speaker 3 (36:07):
To Oh that's pretty cool.
Speaker 1 (36:10):
But I feel like I could set that up and
like I could really trick a coach check it.
Speaker 3 (36:13):
I'd be like, all right, guys, come with me.
Speaker 1 (36:15):
But you could probably see through that bull crab too, right,
if someone's like feeding you a line.
Speaker 9 (36:19):
Oh yeah, he's so genuine a lot of that and
it comes from his parents, his mom and dad.
Speaker 6 (36:24):
They raised him that way.
Speaker 9 (36:26):
You know, he's as transparent and genuine as they come.
Speaker 1 (36:31):
What was the bye week like for you guys?
Speaker 3 (36:33):
Last week?
Speaker 6 (36:34):
Always, Uh, get the players out, give him a couple
of days.
Speaker 9 (36:39):
We got in late after the game on Sunday morning,
especially the early Sunday morning. Uh, then give him Sunday
and Monday, and Monday is a big time on a
bye week, just to let them decompress, let them focus
on their academics, focus on anything personally have to get done.
And then from from there we kind of rep back
(37:01):
into practice, you know, some some more of a correction
refocused type practice.
Speaker 6 (37:08):
On Tuesday.
Speaker 9 (37:09):
Then Wednesday and Thursday we went out with pads and
Wednesday was a lot of good on good just put
the ball, put the ball down, played a lot of ball,
just play the game type up and down the field,
and then started in on some game preparations on Thursday.
Speaker 1 (37:25):
Whenever you guys talk about goals for this season, and
I don't know if the goal changes as the season
goes along. Are you guys talking about winning the conference?
Are you talking about college football playoff?
Speaker 9 (37:34):
Like?
Speaker 3 (37:34):
What is what is the goal within the team? No?
Speaker 9 (37:36):
I mean goals are what they are. I mean, you
can't change goals. And it was the point of Hapen.
I'm saying, I'm gonna lose fifty pounds and you only
lose twenty. Well, I changed my goal at twenty. I
mean that's that's.
Speaker 6 (37:44):
That's a loser mentality to me, loser mentality. Our goal
is the same, it's the same, it's always been.
Speaker 9 (37:51):
Our goal is to play each each play, is to
maximize each day and learn from what we've done in
the past, whether it's good or bad. You know, we
don't focus on things that we can't control, and if
we can't affect the outcome, we can't affect how things
take place. We're not going to waste energy on it.
And all we can do is effectful with the preparation
(38:12):
we put in, the work we put in. You know
how hard, how tough, how physical, how disciplined, how much
fun we have when we play, and we know we
can control those things.
Speaker 6 (38:21):
That we did.
Speaker 9 (38:22):
Talk about it last night. I said, Look, everybody knows
what's going on, right. We worked since January sixth to
be in a position to play meaningful games in November,
and here we are.
Speaker 6 (38:32):
We're played. We had three meaningful games.
Speaker 9 (38:34):
Left, and you know they're not blind to it when
the next two were in the conference championship.
Speaker 6 (38:39):
When the next three win the playoffs, let's go.
Speaker 1 (38:41):
Whenever you were the interim at Georgia Tech, was there
ever a hey, if you win this many games, you
get the job type conversation before you actually got the job.
Speaker 6 (38:48):
Oh, not at all. It was that whole time.
Speaker 9 (38:50):
I was focused on the job that I had, and
that job was to lead, the lead these men and
the players, the staff, lead them and put them in
the best position to be able to steal what uh
to accomplish our.
Speaker 6 (39:02):
Big picture goals.
Speaker 9 (39:03):
And that's to graduate our players and prepare them to
to win championships, uh and be the best players they
can be.
Speaker 6 (39:09):
So that's all the focused on. And you know you
do that. Good things, good things take place.
Speaker 1 (39:14):
Yeah, but when did you know, Like, you're the interrom
and that's your school and I love them. I love
the quote where you said, hey, cut me in half
and see what you know, see what color I am?
Speaker 3 (39:20):
That kind of thing. I love that.
Speaker 1 (39:21):
I'm not even gonna ask about other jobs. I know
that's what people are clicking for right now, that that's
not really what my questions about. When you're the interim
head coach at your own school, One that's got to
be awesome, but two there's got to be like you're
like hitting people up to know, like what do I
got to do to get this job?
Speaker 4 (39:35):
Right?
Speaker 6 (39:35):
Not one? Not one time.
Speaker 9 (39:38):
Now, the amount of people that hit me up and
asked me about it became uncontrollable.
Speaker 6 (39:44):
But h Now, when did I know?
Speaker 9 (39:47):
I knew them are player last game on a Saturday.
I knew that Tuesday at about one o'clock fifteen, I
knew when everybody's knew.
Speaker 1 (39:57):
Yeah, that's that's crazy. What's the difference in last year's team,
the your team depth, we've.
Speaker 9 (40:02):
Ad just a lot of the depth needs uh that
that we had to uh this past off season, whether
we high school recruiting or the portal, continue to increase
our depth in areas that.
Speaker 6 (40:13):
Really hurt us some last year.
Speaker 9 (40:16):
And that's that's that middle management, the big skill, the
tight ends, the running backs, the safeties, linebackers, because that's
the core of your special teams as well, and we
knew we had to increase the depth there increase our
our productivity on special teams. Obviously, the quarterback was another, uh,
you know, another year in the system, and you know
(40:39):
he's a guy that is in his sixty year college
football and he still works to improve every day. You know,
he's not Haynes is not a guy that has topped out.
He hadn't even think of think of that. So that's
the biggest thing. We had twenty seven seniors, but we
also have a huge amount of talent of young guys. Right,
so there's a big there's a gap been there. There's
(41:00):
the seniors, but then there's a very talented group of
younger guys that the future.
Speaker 6 (41:04):
Looks right with.
Speaker 1 (41:06):
I feel like I was watching you guys at decent
amount last year. I've watched you a lot. This year,
I think I've watched a bit of almost every game,
if not most of the games. And for me from Afar,
I don't get to see the unglamorous improvements. What's the greatest,
unglamorous improvement that we wouldn't notice from just being a
fan that you're super proud of about this year's team.
Speaker 9 (41:25):
Having the ball at the end of the second quarter,
I think, and being effective scoring there. I think I
think seven out of nine, seven out of nine times.
I think this season, you know, trying to really steal
points before halftime. I think our situational football has improved dramatically.
You know, we put a lot of time and effort
(41:45):
into that, whether it be in meetings, whether it be
in film review, whether it be practicing, preparing you know,
from you know, the way we had to run a
toro fast field goal in Clemson and Waite Forest really
to win the football game, and the calmness and the
show that they're prepared. But that's the biggest sense of
that situational and that's where that into the into the
first half that that comes in as well as situational football.
Speaker 1 (42:07):
Last question, for you, because I know it's a busy week.
How much goes into the pregame speeches and making sure
you don't repeat anything you've said to that group of kids.
Speaker 6 (42:16):
I think a blackout in a pregame speech.
Speaker 9 (42:20):
Now, it's I put a lot of time into the
into the mental side of it, you know, the mental
discipline and and and the messaging. Uh. The messaging starts
out on Sunday and really goes through the week of practice.
Speaker 6 (42:32):
And culminates on Friday night.
Speaker 9 (42:34):
And then in the in the meeting or the pregame
talk before we take the field.
Speaker 6 (42:37):
But there's a lot of things in it, you know,
being very.
Speaker 9 (42:40):
Strategic about what we say, what is said, and what
is said to the staff, and then in term of
what they say, they say to the players, so that
everyone's speaking the same language, saying the same thing. Uh.
I think that's really important that your entire organization, you know,
hears and says the truth, all right, you know, you
can't be you know, hearing something other than what said.
(43:01):
Everybody's got it on the same page with that, and
he puts everybody in the really you know, spearheaded in
the right direction. But when you take the field, to
go play. It also helps you deal with adversity when
university takes place.
Speaker 3 (43:13):
Coach, good luck rooting for you.
Speaker 1 (43:15):
You know, I know you guys are going to Boston
College this week, and that game seems cold. I don't know,
it kind of sucks. I think I would hate going.
I would hate going to playing cold weather. I don't
even imagine you guys have like coats being down there.
Do you guys have like team coats to take with you?
Do you need coach for kids rally?
Speaker 9 (43:30):
Heah, No, we're wearing shorts and shortsleeve shirts.
Speaker 6 (43:34):
I hope it's I hope it's ten or fifteen degrees
up there.
Speaker 1 (43:36):
Out of your mind that that sounds terrible. Well, good
luck coach rooting for you guys. Thanks for giving us
a few minutes.
Speaker 6 (43:43):
I appreciate it. I appreciate it, man, I appreciate it.
Speaker 4 (43:45):
Go Jackets, see coach.

Speaker 1 (45:13):
All right, let's look ahead at some of the games.
What's the state of the Cowboys.
Speaker 4 (45:18):
Oh, making some moves, got some good trades and trades
in what.
Speaker 3 (45:24):
Like two weeks ago? Yeah, you're you talking about Quinn Williams, right, yeah,
like two weeks ago.
Speaker 4 (45:28):
Yeah, So we've I mean, we made moves, we made moves,
We've been on a buy so I'm sure they're working.
I feel like we're working to be a good playoff run.
Speaker 3 (45:36):
Team, playoff run. Do you think you make the playoff?
Speaker 4 (45:38):
I think we make the playoff?
Speaker 3 (45:39):
And I asked a question. Yeah, as a non Cowboys fan,
you guys played on Monday night right before the bye.
Speaker 4 (45:46):
We played Monday night at Cardinals.
Speaker 3 (45:47):
Game lost, and then you want to buy And when
are you playing this week? Monday Night again?
Speaker 4 (45:51):
Again, It's like, yeah, three week So what are you saying?
Speaker 3 (45:55):
What I mean? What what is this? I know the
Cowboys they draw numbers. I get that, but if you
have YouTube TV you can't watch anyways. But I'm just saying, like,
come on, we gotta watch Cowboys. Two out of the
three Mondays.
Speaker 4 (46:06):
Yeah, you don't want to watch them, no, you know.
Speaker 1 (46:09):
I also want to say real quick what I'm thinking
about it. But my other point was I didn't get
to because I totally slow my mind. I want to
talk about things being at the right time. Is sling.
Didn't know what sling. I've heard about sling and people
using sling, never was motivated enough.
Speaker 4 (46:23):
To seeing the box on the bottom of the TV.
Speaker 1 (46:25):
Now I've bought the day Pass a couple of times
for games. I now know what sling is and see
that Sling is actually a competitor. So as I say,
Disney's got all these properties at the right time. Football's
in the contract right now. Sling is also the benefit
of timing.
Speaker 3 (46:36):
Oh yeah, because people.
Speaker 1 (46:38):
Like myself, I think Brandon's done it too. That day
passes like like five bucks and you can watch all
the TV for a day on Sling. Yeah, so I
think it's opening people's eyes to that even being an
option like TikTok.
Speaker 3 (46:50):
Wise during the pandemic. Meant to make that in my
final point, I forgot.
Speaker 4 (46:53):
Thank you man, you got that in.
Speaker 3 (46:54):
It's in there.
Speaker 1 (46:55):
Cowboys are playing the Raiders Monday night. If they do
if they don't beat the Raiders.
Speaker 4 (46:58):
That they're not done. It's over.
Speaker 1 (47:00):
Yeah, just making sure you just make sure you.
Speaker 4 (47:01):
Know that I know, I know where we're at, do you.
Speaker 1 (47:04):
But that's a good game to have.
Speaker 4 (47:06):
Yeah, the Raiders will take it.
Speaker 1 (47:07):
Yeah, Cowboys and Raiders Monday Night. The game tonight, Jets
at Patriots. If you don't win this.
Speaker 3 (47:12):
Game, season's over.
Speaker 1 (47:14):
I'm not gonna say seasons over, but I think it
proves your maturation.
Speaker 3 (47:21):
Isn't there as a good team now? Question if we
win by it.
Speaker 1 (47:25):
Doesn't matter, doesn't win a win one or one hundred.
In the NFL, A win is a win. But I
think the thing about the Patriots, we didn't know going
into it's and it's rabble. He's new at the Patriots,
second year quarterback Drake May. All these pieces coming probably
not be MV free, but I hear you, I know.
But God, but the maturation of the Patriots and can
(47:50):
they handle being the lead dog?
Speaker 3 (47:52):
Yeah? And can they be the lead dog and not
go it's just the Jets. We'll win this for sure.
I agree. It feels like the classic trap game, right
division game Thursday night, short week. If they win this,
they I think they have mature more so than winning
the big game. A lot of teams get up for
(48:12):
the big game. Can you get up for the small game?
At least I'm playing at home. I thought, I'm happy
about ye, I won't be able to watch.
Speaker 1 (48:19):
By the ways, the Patriots you have Amazon YouTube TV
YouTube take off Amazon to.
Speaker 3 (48:24):
I agree to a date night and we're going to
a play tonight with my wife. Like six weeks ago,
I didn't realize the Patriots playing. What's the play? It's
Beauty and the Beast.
Speaker 1 (48:31):
I actually heard it's great, gets worse again, like I
feel like you got to go to a play. I'm like,
what's the places? Like vagina monologue?
Speaker 6 (48:45):
Great?
Speaker 3 (48:45):
Can't have your phone out in a play, you know
what I mean? So you can't even track it over.
So I'm just hoping they blow them out and I check,
like in the intermation intermission and we're like, yeah, we're good.
Speaker 1 (48:54):
Good husband though, yeah thanks, yeah, good for you. But yeah, yeah,
it's tough one.
Speaker 4 (48:57):
Beauty and the Beast.
Speaker 3 (48:58):
That's like a kid play though, right, you guys, it's
not even I'm saying, come on, you guys are married.
All three of you are married.
Speaker 6 (49:03):
You get it.
Speaker 4 (49:04):
Never been to a play really Broadway.
Speaker 1 (49:07):
You should definitely go to a play. Yeah, I've even
been to places here. Wicked here is awesome, Okay, Wicked
little more, I mean it's a little more. Yeah. The
beauty the beach just feels like a kid thing.
Speaker 4 (49:16):
I don't know.
Speaker 3 (49:16):
I didn't pick it. And here's the thing.
Speaker 1 (49:18):
You're gonna like it.
Speaker 3 (49:19):
I'm probably gonna like it.
Speaker 1 (49:20):
Now you'll like it.
Speaker 4 (49:21):
He comes back be my guest our guests in March.
Speaker 1 (49:26):
She's like, I'm done with football.
Speaker 3 (49:28):
He's got a B and B hat or like, oh
that no.
Speaker 1 (49:30):
Beauty Commanders at Dolphins. The Dolphins are a favorite because
Jayden and Daniels no longer exists.
Speaker 4 (49:39):
No done.
Speaker 1 (49:42):
Uh. The Panthers of Falcons kind of don't care about
that game. Bucks at Bills this is the story of
a girl that's.
Speaker 3 (49:52):
The Bucks of.
Speaker 1 (49:53):
Bills is interesting because both those teams had a loss
that they're probably not proud of. The Bucks lost was
a little easier to take because at least the Patriots
were good, where the Bills by the Dolphins offhins suck.
Speaker 3 (50:00):
But they both got They both need to win here.
The Bills got smoked.
Speaker 1 (50:03):
They both need to win here. Texans at Titans. Cancel it.
Speaker 4 (50:07):
Yeah, you don't need it. Hey, those tickets are cheap.
Speaker 1 (50:10):
I got an invite to go be in the Titans suite.
Speaker 4 (50:12):
Oh this this game?
Speaker 3 (50:15):
Any of the games coming up the rest.
Speaker 1 (50:16):
Of the year.
Speaker 4 (50:16):
Oh they played the Chiefs.
Speaker 3 (50:17):
I think yeah, I pliately declined because of the foot.
Speaker 1 (50:22):
So could you send your associates associates, they'll be wearing
beauty in the b shirts.
Speaker 7 (50:29):
He can't.
Speaker 1 (50:33):
Bears at Vikings. What the heck are the Vikings? And
also what the heck are Packers at Giants? Poor Giants,
poor giants. Everybody got hurt and Jamis want Jamis went
to start in the game.
Speaker 3 (50:49):
I'm ready for it.
Speaker 1 (50:49):
They're not even gona let Russ play. Russ Is crying
on sidelines.
Speaker 3 (50:55):
He's another guy. He's got to retire.
Speaker 1 (50:57):
He's he's in the blue tent. He watches the game
from the Blues on the top of window. Yes, Bengals
the Steelers. I'm gonna say this.
Speaker 4 (51:10):
Is Joe Burrow practicing.
Speaker 1 (51:12):
I'm glad you asked so we can spend a second
on this. Yes, he's back, but when you come off
the ir there's a twenty one day window. He's in
that twenty one day window. If everything checks out, he
should be back around Thanksgiving. The Bengals, you're not gonna
believe this. They can still make the playoffs, but they
need to win one of the next two games because
(51:33):
what happens is they play the Steelers, and I believe
they play the Patriots. I don't have it in front
of me. Yeah, so I don't think they'll beat the Patriots.
I think they have a chance to beat the Steelers
because sometimes the Steelers suck. And I don't think the
Bengals will make the playoffs. But the first game that
Burrow is back is against the team that's going to
win that division, which is Baltimore. They have to both
games are against Baltimore coming up. So if Burrow's back,
(51:57):
they actually have a chance to go nine to eight
and make a playoff.
Speaker 4 (52:00):
But we've got to win. We the Bengals have to
win one of the next two games.
Speaker 1 (52:05):
Well, I would say for them to have a shot
at that, because they do have hard games even with Burrow,
and I'm not counting on them.
Speaker 3 (52:11):
Is that them? They're scheduled rough, Yeah, it's rough, but they.
Speaker 1 (52:14):
Do have a chance to play the Ravens two times
with Burrow. But yes, the Bengals need to win this
game to really feel like they're in the mix. Yeah.
Speaker 3 (52:24):
So, and also you need it, dude, because cost us
a lot of money. That's how much do you love
seeing the Packers struggle?
Speaker 1 (52:32):
They still have a winning record.
Speaker 3 (52:33):
I know, so you can say struggle, but.
Speaker 1 (52:36):
We'd be up with another one thousand dollars and we're
in the whole four hundred.
Speaker 4 (52:40):
You don't need to put it that way.
Speaker 3 (52:41):
No, No, I'm not putting it away. That's the truth is.
Speaker 1 (52:44):
I don't need to hear that Chargers of Jags, that's
an interesting game. Yeah, and just that Jags are Jags
can be pretty good.
Speaker 3 (52:54):
Yeah, I wouldn't be surprised that they won.
Speaker 1 (52:56):
Chargers should be good. At times, they can be pretty bad.
Speaker 3 (52:58):
It's weird.
Speaker 1 (53:00):
Uh forty nine Ers at Cardinals kind of don't care
for sure, Kyler Murray is getting getting traded after the year.
They're just keeping them from being hurt at this point. Well,
what a bad, bad game for them last week. It's like,
all right, start the game and we're gonna give you
thirty five points to start Seattle.
Speaker 4 (53:16):
Yeah, we're gonna start, Yes.
Speaker 1 (53:18):
Yes, Chiefs of Broncos. We need the Chiefs to win
that one. Ravens at Browns. You know we should root
for the Browns.
Speaker 4 (53:26):
Yeah, yeah, we should.
Speaker 3 (53:27):
If you want Joe.
Speaker 1 (53:28):
Burrow to come back and make the playoffs, should root
for the Browns. Lions and Eagles. That's an I like
that game.
Speaker 3 (53:34):
Seahawks and Rams too.
Speaker 1 (53:35):
Did I missed that one?
Speaker 3 (53:36):
Yeah, that's the game of the week, dude, the freaking
Rams like they.
Speaker 1 (53:40):
I think there are number two overall in the Super
Bowl A lides or I think some then Cowboys and Raiders.
So this is not a bad slate. We've had some
real turds of slates in the NFL.
Speaker 3 (53:50):
Yes, this is not a bad one. Starts tonight. Yeah,
we're talking about.
Speaker 1 (54:02):
All right, that's what's up college football wise. Let's gonna
look at us, see what games we like.
Speaker 4 (54:14):
Texas Georgia.
Speaker 3 (54:16):
Yeah, let's go.
Speaker 1 (54:17):
Let's go Bulldogs like. Georgia beats the crap out of Texas,
just shuts them down.
Speaker 3 (54:22):
Anyway, how you feeling, Mike?
Speaker 4 (54:25):
Not great about it?
Speaker 1 (54:27):
Georgia is a six point favorite. They are in Athens.
Texas is weird because they were out of it. We
were shoveling dirt on their grave. Four weeks ago they
beat Oklahoma and you're like, all right, but Oklahoma had
John Material with a hurt hand, and you're like, all right,
Texas still sucks. But they did get a win, so
we'll credit them for that. But then they they they've
(54:50):
won a decent game since then.
Speaker 3 (54:54):
We're beating up on Bandy.
Speaker 9 (54:55):
Man.
Speaker 3 (54:55):
It came back. But yeah, they beat a top Sandy
top ten. Well yeah, I think they're number twelve right now,
but they were then. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Speaker 1 (55:03):
So collectively as a room, I think we're in for Georgia.
But Mike, in this room, we're rooting for Texas.
Speaker 4 (55:11):
Here's a room.
Speaker 3 (55:12):
Yeah, that'd be good. Let's see any other ones that
seems super interesting.
Speaker 1 (55:16):
I don't really care about Iowa USC because I don't
I don't not care, but that's another top twenty five matchup.
Oklahoma Alabama is interesting. Yeah, I think Oklahoma is in
the same place Texas is. They have to win, although
I do think Texas could lose this game and still
make the playoff if they beat A and M. I
think they could be a three loss team that makes
(55:36):
the College Football Playoff because those thirty losses were against
Ohio State, which is the number one team in the country.
Texas also lost to UH Georgia Alabama, who they lose
to Mike. They lost another big Florida. Texas lost to Florida.
Oh near mind, they suck, They suck. Notre Dame pitt
(55:58):
any interest not really. I would love for Notre Dame
to lose because I like it opening up that spot.
I'm not an anti Notre Dame guy, I don't care,
but I feel like they get an advantage because they're
an independent and they have a very famous brand for sure,
and I feel like that's an unfair advantage. So I
would like for Notre Dame to lose again just to
open up that spot. That's it, anything, Eddie, No, man,
(56:23):
that's it.
Speaker 3 (56:24):
You done nothing else to say.
Speaker 1 (56:25):
M m okay, Brandon, we've said it all.
Speaker 3 (56:28):
That's a good point, and think about that.
Speaker 4 (56:30):
No, we really have all of it.
Speaker 3 (56:32):
Kevin, good luck, Thanks guys. I'm really looking forward to
the plate in it.
Speaker 4 (56:35):
Yep. Have fun, man, It's given me a lot of fun.
Speaker 1 (56:39):
Can I tell you, guys, something I did what you
do that I didn't mean for it to happen like
it did. I got on Twitter and it had nothing
to do with Arkansas sports. And I did three emojis.
I posted the emoji and it was cryptic on purpose.
So then once this thing happens, I can show that
(57:02):
cryptic post that it meant something. Therefore, future cryptic posts
means something. That's how you like verify your cryptic post
is worth something, and people care about your future cryptic posts.
See you, guys, this is influencer genius right here. Let
me tell you what happens.
Speaker 4 (57:17):
Listen up, eyes ear and pop. Okay, eyes ears and pop?
What's it like? A like a firecracker?
Speaker 9 (57:27):
Pop?
Speaker 1 (57:27):
Yep, just to pop. And so everyone assumed I was
talking about the Arkansas football coach.
Speaker 3 (57:33):
I posted that.
Speaker 1 (57:33):
Didn't think much about it, just got off my phone started.
I had two coaches hit me up. Have you already
got the Arkansas job? I saw your post, two coaches,
two head coaches, and I was like, huh, And I
go and look at it and it's everybody reposting it.
Real then people getting mad, like stop doing a cryptic post,
tell us who the coach is? Dude, had nothing to
do with the coach. And most of my posts aren't
(57:54):
about Arkansas sports. Some are It's definitely part of my
especially on Twitter at life. Mostly I do like post
clips from this show or lots to say or a
little bit of Arkansas. Had nothing to do with it,
but people just ran with it and they were like,
you're hiding something from us. And then Brandon Walker, who's
my friend who works at Barstool, hit me up and
he's like, was that about the Arkansas coaching search? I said,
(58:16):
He said, who is it? I said it wasn't It's
about something else, and he goes, cool, watch this. So
then he gets on and goes, what I just heard
about the Arkansas job. You're not gonna believe it. Then
that explodes and then people are quoting. It's both going
between Bobby and Brandon. They don't even know we talk
to each other.
Speaker 4 (58:31):
But Brandon's isn't cryptic.
Speaker 1 (58:33):
