Welcome to Episode Three of the 180DC Podcast!
This week, we touched base with Michelle Lim, a current Senior Consultant at PwC Australia, who was finishing up her time at Accenture when we shot the episode.
Michelle’s background exemplifies diversity and transformation; she talks about her time as a dancer, how she transitioned into neuroscience and psychology at the University of Sydney, and how she crafted her career in the Risk Strategy and Technology team as a KPMG graduate. Our discussion delves into the importance of diversifying one’s experiences during university, how to acclimate into new and challenging roles and why it’s important to explore passion projects outside the workplace. Michelle notes that meeting new people and forging strong relationships should continue long after we graduate, so we explore Michelle’s time at both KPMG and Accenture in relation to this in more depth. As always, we conclude with a wildcard question where we ask Michelle how it felt to meet ex-Prime Minister Julia Gillard as an Accenture employee.
