11 de fevereiro de 1984. Estúdios da TV Gazeta, na avenida Paulista em São Paulo. O jornalista e apresentador Goulart de Andrade se prepara para dar início a mais uma edição do programa 23ª Hora, que ia ao ar todos sábados das 11 horas à uma da madrugada. Mas aquela edição trazia duas novidades, na verdade dois quadros dentro do programa. A primeira novidade era a participação de Silvio Lancellotti, que acabaria tendo uma carreira bem consistente na televisão. Além de seu conhecimento sobre futebol italiano, ele também compartilhava suas dicas de bons restaurantes de São Paulo no quadro Santa Ceia, que trazia receitas e entrevistas. A segunda era a estreia de um quadro de variedades chamado “Perdidos na Noite”, comandado por Fausto Silva e produzido por Lucimara Parisi, que tinha como objetivo trazer a dinâmica do rádio para o ambiente televisivo. Fausto queria interagir com o telespectador e trazer uma opção aos filmes que ocupavam as programações dos canais de TV nesse horário. Ele também queria mostrar os bastidores da televisão e quebrar com os padrões de produção e apresentação vigentes na época, uma proposta que mudaria a forma como o entretenimento seria produzido e consumido no Brasil nas décadas seguintes.
