I fratelli Cristina e Luca Palmas costituiscono da anni un duo pianistico estremamente affiatato, che si è affermato in numerosi concorsi internazionali. Nel 2009 furono ospiti del «Bis di Paganini», dove avevano presentato un bel disco dedicato ad opere cameristiche di Antonín Dvořák trascritte per pianoforte a quattro mani da Ernő Dohnányi; l’anno dopo nel 200° anniversario della nascita di Schumann presero parte a una puntata di "Sabato Pian Piano" con la registrazione del Quintetto op. 44 ed al Quartetto op. 47 nelle trascrizioni di Clara Schumann e Johannes Brahms. Oggi Cristina e Luca Palmas tornano ospiti di Rete Due con un nuovo disco dedicato alla musica di Franz Schubert.
