What I hear that is because it's a cannabis It's
like it's like being a Hilton Honors member, but for
cannabis at all the hotels that they're getting ready to
(01:49):
roll out and they've got one of them right now.
That's rolled out, but they're gonna be rolling out another
one next month, so it's gonna be fantastic. It's definitely
something to inquire about. If you're into cannabis and want
to go to hotels and not get picked out for
smoking cannabally, then you know what I mean, elevations nations,
get this membership or you could be partying like the
best of them on the show today. This is some
cool stuff. No stuff intended and puns intended, but it
(02:13):
is some cool stuff from stuff cannabis with one F
stuf cannabis. Mr Ethan Werner, It's it's funny, Ethan, because
I have to have that Mike and pull it right.
I have a buddy named Ethan Winner and uh, it
was like Ethan Werner. Wow, I wonder if it's the
same guy. No, a little bit different. He's Asian capital,
you know, I mean maybe you are. I don't know exactly.
(02:37):
Do what it's good to have you of stuff cannabis
and guides the company's growth. You actually come from the
clean energy and sustainability fields right there. But this company's
goal is to bring the highest quality of ethics and
standards to the industry. Stuff Cannabis offers only the best
indoor flower on the market and nothing less. They take
pride in their quality and promise to all we provide
(03:00):
the best flower profiles, incredible aromas which we've been smelling
in the studio here, and ideal strengths. We also have
Mr Oliver Greer, who's the VP of Sales and Marketing.
That stuff has been with the company since it all started.
I don't know if you're related to Ethan or you
guys are just boys. I can't wait to hear how
this whole relationship started. But welcome to the show Oliver
(03:22):
as well and our guy, the big star player himself,
Julian brotheris a k a. Jupiter Caesar in the building,
got the head of as all you guys, you know,
it's good to be here. Find them on Instagram at
Stuff San Diego. That's Stuf san Diego. Check out the
website Stuff cannabis dot com and if you want to
(03:43):
see Mr Official, check mark himself at Julian Brothers the
greatest Stoner under twenty five, which is always nice to
think of, as you that seeing there rolling and doing things.
So Ethan, tell me about this brother, I know you're
here and uh I got a chance to see you
guys in the conference room, but didn't get to hear
the full story or even if it was heard there.
(04:05):
How did you create this company? How did you guys
all form this partnership? Yeah, so, um, Oliver and I've
known each other for about twenty years at this point,
kind of been all over the world together doing different things.
And we have a good friend who's our cultivator, who
has been in the medicinal and therapeutic space for a
long time. So a couple of years ago this was
(04:25):
an opportunity for us to get an adult use license
and we actually have the micro license that allows us
to do cultivation, manufacturing, and distribution from a single location.
So we're able to get licensed and get a facility
and you know, take Jake, our cultivator, from that medicinal
world into the adult use space and really kind of
built this brand around him and and his talent growing cannabis,
(04:49):
and Oliver is in charge of the brand and kind
of the look of the company. So over the past
couple of years we got this ideas together and planned
everything out. We just launched and I think May or
June of last year, so We've been about six months
on the market right now, and it's been a lot
of fun working with friends and getting this company built,
(05:09):
and you know, recently having a great edition of the
team with Julian coming on, it's been they We're looking
forward to a big twenty three coming up. Yeah, I
see bringing Julian. Julian is definitely a face out there,
a cannabis connect sewer, the greatest stoner under twenty five
that's out there in my book as well, to which
I like seeing on his I G and everywhere else.
(05:29):
He's gonna leave that, yeah exactly, because I'm like, how
did you guys build the relationship over here with good
old Julian. You know, we met up at a couple
of industry events and just had a real similar view
on quality of product and where the company wants to
(05:49):
be going. And you know, Julian was looking to get
into the adult use cannabis space as well and really
established his name in this industry. So it was just
really a matter of right timing and the meeting of
the minds that we were able to get together and
have a lot of commonality and able to take this
thing in different directions over the next little while. You know,
I've always I've always wondered, like you know, and I
hear stuff like who came up with stuff? You know?
(06:11):
And I'm not sure we know do we know who
they came up with the name stuff? I don't remember
the answer of that. That's awesome that it wasn't you
it was, But you know it's great. It's because I
was like, damn that stuff, Like, you know, it just
sounds cool, it's catchy. Yeah, it's got that vibe to it.
It's something you'll say all the time, what we're talking about. Yeah,
(06:32):
but this stuff, that stuff, it just makes think about
when when you was hiding the fact, like you were
smoking from your parents, you'd been like, man, I gotta
go get my stuff for it. You know, you don't
want to step up and say I gotta go get
my weed or I gotta go get my sack. And
you got that stuff looking smelling my clothes and ship
(06:53):
I got caught because my clothes were smelling like weed
one day. So ever since then, I always was hiding
my stuff literally literally hide your stuff. And now the
stuff is out there for everyone. So so speaking of that,
what kind of like strange are you guys using for
the stuff and what is the stuff? Explain it to
(07:14):
the listeners that are actually listening, like, we all know
what it is, but you know, we have it right here.
Break it down. Break it down for the the guy
that's never seen it or heard about it. Yeah. So
we have a bunch of you know, real top chef
flour that we're out there with. We have strange like
our forty one Savage and our serial Killer that are
lending themselves more towards that heavy duty, dark growth side.
(07:35):
And then we have strange kind of like our Pletta's
and La Frasa that are more on the sativa leaning
a little bit uh heady or smoke a little more
daytime enjoyment for people. Um. But one thing that we
do a lot of is we do blunts in house.
We've got our own you know, blunt factory where we
do hand rolled both infused and non infused blunts. And
so we think that's one of the things that's kind
(07:56):
of really unique and what we do, especially with some
of the different sizes and the way that we integrate
the strange with the infusions. We end up doing a
doughnut roll with all of our infusions. So you really
get that nice visual appeal of of the big hole
spoken down the blunt and you know, knowing that it's
infused properly every time it is infused. We have both
of the non ins which was the infused one, the
(08:18):
white packed blunts here are the infused ones and the
black package ones are the non So this is like
I'm gonna knock you out. Yeah, now, I'm gonna knock
you out. Those will have a little more kicked to
them than just the And how much how big are
these because it was look like, damn hear two grams?
(08:40):
So we have a couple of different sizes. We have
a one gram and the two gram non infused, and
then we have a one gram with a quarter gram
of extract and a two gram with a half gram
of extract and few, so a couple of different sizes.
Both of them used the thirty two gauge glass tip.
So they have a nice, you know, good draw on them.
(09:00):
High quality glass, hip, high quality compraft, all done my
hand and you know it's a handmade product, but it's
you know, it's professionally handmade, so it's smokes really well.
But each one has its little uniqueness to what they're
not machine made, and they come out, you know, looking
pretty good. We've got a good team down there at
our facility in San Diego turning these out, and we
use only smalls and high quality flower in the blunts.
(09:22):
There's no shake, there's no there's nothing like that. We
kind of like the brand and like the image of
the brander, like the flour and the product that really
speak for itself, kind of like a no bullshit, you know,
here's the you know, high quality product, no frills about it.
And you know, we've got a good team that established
that whole look at the brand as well. We've got
you know, and he does all of our graphics and
(09:43):
and does some great work for us and really came
out with what we think is a really recognizable, simple
kind of image for the brand and something that you know,
Mendes of all the jewie in style and what he
wants to be putting forward as kind of the ambassador
and the guy out there getting everybody interested in the
brandles the next place. It's so funny eating when you say, know,
you have a team out there hand rolling these blunts.
I always imagine New Jack City. I see this room
(10:08):
full of the girls well, yeah, I get girls, guys
just all in they're just rolling like, you know, wait
a minute, how does this facility look like? It's pretty
similar that I don't even remember that that movie, like
it was yesterday, right, And every time when I hear
companies or people talk about they have a facility like
a hand rolling people that are doing them, like always,
(10:29):
like my mind goes there every single time. You know,
it's funny, is Ethan? You know, I want to hear
but not only Ethan, but all three of you guys.
What are your favorite you know, so we get to
know you guys, right, what's your favorite movie? Right after
this break, it's Cannabis Talk one on one. Right back, Hey,
we'll be right back with kabus Talk one oh one.
(10:56):
Welcome back to Cannabis Talk one oh one. Were a
trust up cannabis seed at a fair price. You guys
hit the Rocket sees dot com on Instagram at Rocket
Underscore Seeds. We're sitting here with the guys from Stuff
Cannabis s t u f out of San Diego Blue
just asked a wonderful question as I brought up that
New Jack City movie of everybody rolling over there, Ethan,
(11:17):
what is your guys. His favorite movie, so we get
to know you a little better. You know, probably over
or something like Walton comes to mind. Always a real
favorite there. Yeah, that was a great movie. That is
that is a really good one. Actually said, what about you, Oliver,
Let's say SHOs Shankerdemon, Oh huh, the long one. Why
(11:42):
every man like a so that you know it's funny
is there's that song. There's a song in there when
when it's all going down, there's there's this one song.
And I you know, I can't remember the songs off hand,
but it's just one of my favorite songs to listen to.
When I always heard I think of that movie of
the soundtracks bring me back to movies, you know what
I mean? Like when you hear him is great, great dude,
(12:03):
it makes sure everything makes it all different. Julian, Any
gangster movie for me, I'm gonna say like Paid in
Full or Baby Baby Boy, Baby Boy. Huh. Yeah. For
me when I was growing up was Poison the Hood
and Colors, Blood and blood Out. It's just like when
it comes to movies, it's so hard for me to
give you one because I get high as especially smoking stuff,
(12:24):
and I'm watching movies at the crib where I'm just
on the go watching movies, watching I like, I'm really
fascinated by movies. I've always been acting is dope. You know.
Acting is like another form of art compared to music,
compared to being created with drawing or even digital ways
of creating. Right, they're all forms of art. But being
(12:44):
in movies, I've always been captivated by that because it
takes so much time for somebody to be able to
get into that role, and they play that role and
then you see the after effects, like someone's never get
out that role. Oh yeah, some of them actually live it. Yeah, yeah,
it ain't bad if they're known forever for that role
like fond or something, you know what I mean. Or
you could be iron Man, I just stay there. I
(13:11):
mean coach where you know? Have you acted anything, Julie,
I haven't yet. I got offered a couple of different
things to act over the years, but like, I'm really
waiting to get my own show. That's the moment where
I'm like completely engaged, super instinct with what's going on
because I don't want to be a part of some
ship that's going on with the show when I could
(13:31):
have my own lifestyle show, because man, you guys have
known me since I was a kid now now being
a young adult in the industry, it's like, I just
keep keep elevating and keep being around great company. And
I wouldn't want to add to something when I could
have my own. You know, it isn't true. It feels
like we've watched you grow up. You know what you have.
I mean it's like, literally, yeah, he's been right here
(13:54):
with us, He's watching us grow too. I've been there.
I've been there with me and keep being that way
because that's just how it is. And and how do
you find stuff? Julian like, how did they find you?
You find them? How did this relationship for him? So
Mike Kelly from Pax Distro, you don't get enough love. Man.
People be doing Mike so wrong in the game. But
(14:14):
he's a great cat down to earth, always been there.
And I remember when he was doing Speakeasy. So me
and him go back and ship all the time. He
gives me wisdom and game. And I stumbled into the
distro one day and he was like, check this out.
So I looked at the product and I was like, damn,
this is unique, Like you know, when I come across
the right people and who are doing the things with
this brand, you know, maybe we could sync up and
(14:35):
and it will be some parallel ship because I would
love to get into the pre role game because I
seen how Jeters was doing it, and Jeters was putting
garbage fucking weed in their and their ship and just
wrapping it with turpenes and all kinds of other ship
that's not good. We over here and call it the
ship off the flow at stuff, you know what I mean.
It's like you could be smoking that, or you could
(14:56):
look at the blunts that we have and you can
see the actual bud and it's super fire and everything
is potent about it. And that's what really drew meet.
So what was going on with stuff? Because if I'm
going to touch my name to anything, it has to
be the best. It can't be something that's bottom tier,
mide tier, or it just looks good. It has to
do everything and function on a daily basis with me, Like,
(15:18):
I don't see myself not smoking a stuff flunt on
a daily basis if it's past to me, especially my favorite,
which is the crumpus and jam, Like that's a unique strain.
What is it again, Ethan the cross on compass and
Jam grabbed the mic hotchot. Sorry, it's a selectual London
London pound cake times jealousy, but a certain special one
that we found. I just love cakes. Cakes go way
(15:40):
back from me. Like, now I heard you're you're creating
your own strain, right, is that something that works? Hold
that we hold that back? Yeah? Yeah, yeah, I don't know.
I might have too much information. Sometimes I get the
information I don't want to put it out there, like yeah,
you'll definitely be a Julian specific strain and gets dropped
this year. This year the Broader Special. Huh. I think
(16:08):
it's a blessing to finally be able to come out
with something because it took me a lot of self reflection,
especially in this game, especially being who I am, especially
with what I'm already doing and having ownership in It's like,
you know, people look at me and they probably think, oh,
he just likes weed because his pops. But it was
my own passion that drove me to enjoy weed, even
though I was peer pressure by people who was like,
(16:28):
smoke this because of your dad, because twelve years old
and I didn't really had no conscious yet and like,
I just thought that was gonna get me into like
looking cool and feeling cool. And then you you go
from that experience at twelve years old and learning that
peer pressure isn't shipped, like you know, like it's up
to you to make those decisions on the daily basis
to either engage into something you're interested in or fall
(16:51):
back and find something that you're really passionate about. You know.
For those that are literaling knowing, they don't know this.
His dad is Snoop Doggs mentioned he just kind of
points out there that we all know. But it's one
of those old yeah we were always went over that
fact like a seed because I'm like doing so I
was like, well, here's here's the funny thing, dude, that
(17:13):
like you and I know is when I was sixteen seventeen,
I knew your pops, you know what I mean. And
then when you were sixteen seventeen, you met you and
I met you know, and and I just got the
chills because you know, I'm you know, I go back
that far. I was at Death Row in the nineties,
you know, so when I was there and I was
I'm an artist, I'm working with with people and I'm
(17:33):
running around really not knowing what I'm doing at seventeen
because none of us do you know. We think we know,
but you know, unless you got really good operators pushing
you around, you don't have you know, the best information,
so you don't have a clue. We're just riding, you know.
So but you know, I I so I was around
him then, and then so when and then when we
talk about it, and I look back, like, dude, I
was seventeen when I first met you at that event.
(17:55):
They wouldn't let me in. You wouldn't got me, and
You're like, come on, let's go, you know, And someone
was like, yo, snoop sunshare my what let me go
get them here. It was mandatory shout out to the
beautiful home girls that was with all of us, and
(18:16):
I guess I'm getting in today. We would drove. That
was those days when us just started really popping. It
was going on. There was so much smoking the air,
as people really enjoying cannabis. You got motherfucker's getting tattooed
at that mother It was just different from what I
was used to see and like used to like the
secret sash where people are just smoking on stop motherfucker's
(18:38):
his dabbing each other out. Here's people fucking showing you
some new product that you ain't never seen before. Right.
But then you go to these weed festivals where people
are playing music, right, you know what I mean, and
really really fucking locking in with the artists they love,
and you know, it's an awesome experience to be a
part of something that's completely compliant nowadays, to be able
(19:01):
to engage into these events more with my partners and
really fucking do some dope ship with you and more
people that I've known in the game, and and really
just bringing music, fucking content and cannabis together, because like
you have to, it's a lifestyle, right, Like and a
lot of people don't get that when we when we
sit back and go you know, I you know, I've
(19:21):
been in this culture my entire life. There's nowhere to go.
You know, I'm from California, You're from California. Here, we're
rooted here, right, There's nowhere you can go like there,
this is what we do. We've been traveling the world
doing this for years. And then it's like and and
and I think there's that that you know, I guess
there's a parallel of of you know, people that are
(19:42):
in each individual market. Right, So I look at the
cannabis industry. What's happened is that there's been so many
amazing operators come in and show us how to operate
businesses um on a much bigger scale. I mean, you know,
you come from the ethan from the environmental you know background.
Well you're talking about carbon credits and things of that nature, right,
(20:03):
and and so this goes in line with that plant,
right because it actually creates a carbon credit, right not
not yet. You know, it's great these days where you're
you're able to actually do things the right way as
opposed to you know, having to do things in the
gray area before having to uh dispose of row medium improperly,
(20:23):
having to you know, get rid of things so as
you know to say under the radar, and you know,
actually being you know, having a negative impact on environment
and not using water correctly and now you know, being
licensed to being able to use renewable power as the
energy for the facility that we use and being able
to you know, recycle materials and dispose of them in
the proper way. Is you know, just one facet of
(20:45):
of why getting into the adult use space has you know,
so many advantages, and you know, there's so many good
operators who've been doing this for decades, but now we're
able to use best available practices and best technologies and
and really you know, put their craft to work in
the best way possible that they you know, simply couldn't
do for you know, up until really you know, the
(21:06):
twenty times right. Yeah, as you mentioned that, Ethan, who
are some of the cats that like educated you on it,
like why why cannabis to start growing? You come from
a different realm as a profession and then jumping into cannabis. Well, yeah,
so actually a lot of that has to do with
our our friend and cultivator Jake. You know he uh,
he was in an accident when he was twenty two
(21:26):
or twenty three, and I was put in a wheelchair
and started using cannabis, uh, you know, therapeutically so they
didn't have to take pills and and you know, be
all hazed out of his mind all day to deal
with the pain. And so you know, obviously, you know,
I like smoking cannabis and smoke cannabis, you know, most
of my adult life. But you know, really seeing how
(21:47):
he was able to grow as better than other people
I've seen in the past, and the reasons he was
doing it and why he got into the business is
one of those things. And with Oliver as well, we
just you know, I've been around that with him to
the last you know, almost twenty years that we've all
know each other, and you know, this opportunity to really
diversify and get into business with my friends and and
do these other things you know, I come from, you know,
(22:09):
value added and sustainable agriculture, and that's really where renewable
energy and all my other uh kind of interests are centered.
And this is just another aspect of that. Right where
you're You're we're farming sat this. You know, we're creating
products where you know, supplying people with the highest quality
product that's you know, tested and safe, and you know,
(22:29):
it's just better and more potent and a better smoke
than it ever has been. You know, I've I've actually
hit stuff and and the blunts and I probably I
don't even know which one I hit, to be honest,
I either hit the uh, you know, the one with
the wax in it or not. But I'm very conscious
about when I smoke in public with people because you know,
sometimes you're hitting a blunt and you don't know that
(22:52):
it's got wax or you don't know it's got something minute,
you know, and you're just boom and you're like twitching.
You're twitching, and they'd love to see meat twitch and
they're like, oh, look he bowed the pigeon coop. Yeah,
you're hiding. So remind you of the day, back in
the day when folks just like, well, when I grew up,
we be tricked by somebody who puts a little coke in,
you know, like you hit that and you're like hitting
(23:15):
your face, like why can't I feel my face anymore?
And then I always think about that day Chappelle ship
with Rick James. Hey man, that was real for me.
We do like hit this, hit this, and you just
don't even tell the homie. You just next thing, you know,
he's he's he's got a real habit and a real problem.
I mean, that's why I got eight Faike teeth in
(23:35):
my mouth. If you if you take the blump from Julian,
there's there's a high chance anybody it's not got too
Graham snake into that thing not told anybody. So yeah,
you Julian Speaking of that, I mean you've just been
smoking the whole time you've been here before the show
as well, I mean you just smoking. Um. I think
(23:59):
if I didn't molk, I would be a little bit
more crankier, right, Um. I love weed because we It
brings that side of me out that like I tried
to get by meditating, I tried to get by going
to play basketball. I get it from all the little
relaxing things that I already naturally do in my schedule,
in my regimen. Most importantly, so like when I get
(24:22):
to smoke weed and do all that stuff mixed together,
it gives me a whole different understanding of life. Right.
I used to see motherfucker's when I was growing up,
drink beer, smoked cigarettes in the locker room in like
sports days, right in championship fucking games, and they would
go out there and kill it. Right. There was no excuse.
It was like, I'm still gonna produce, whether I'm medicating
(24:45):
or in their case, getting intoxicated or inebriated. Right, fucking
still gonna kill it. Still go out there and do
it like no offense. But look at Dennis Rodman, right,
I mean Dennis Rodman was one of the best players
out there. We all know he had a drug. Um,
we all know he loved women and alcohol and and
i've we've met him. In fact, Joe and I were
with him not too long ago. Great guy, but he
(25:07):
had a problem amongst many of us. Lamar lamar, right, Yeah,
you go out there, number one players in the you know,
it's about it's about how you can how you can
integrate to what you're doing. You know, Julian shut up
to the office yesterday I think round eight thirty in
the morning and when I dropped him off of his
cart back to the office twelve thirty in the morning,
were probably smart puny fo once about today. But from
(25:30):
sun up till sundown and that's we drove from s
to the valley and back office. Just work on pushing them,
pushing them in the air. You put on the right
and still get all your you know on your list. Well, well,
so it's what do they what does uh? Mark and
Craig always say, it's not lazy people. Um, don't smoke.
Canada doesn't make lazy people. It's just lazy. Yeah. Shout
(25:59):
out of Mark and yeah, shout out to the parts
that long then we love those boys. Listen. When we
come back, I want to ask you guys what the
plan is for three some of the ideas you guys
got going. It's Cannabis Talk one and one. We'll be
right back after this break. We'll be right back with
Cannabis Talk one oh one. Welcome back to Cannabis Talk
(26:23):
one oh one. What time is it? So, I folks think,
Hi with Diame Industries finally in California, Arizona and Oklahoma.
Check out the website Diame Industries dot com on Instagram
Dime dot Industries. We're talking to the guys that stuff
and blue. We wanted to say what's going on with
but I really want to go through all these different
(26:43):
streams I see in strains because double stuffed oreos thirty
point ten percent, THHC and Indica dominating hybrids? Are these
all coming out in the thirties like that? Because not
only that, crumpets and jam thirty one point oh six,
serial killer thirty point two three? I mean, what is
(27:06):
this piladal politics? How he's like, I'm Mexican. Is that
what you're saying? Okay, thirty six percent? I'm not looking
at it. I mean is that because it's been sprayed
with something. I mean, what's going on around you know,
it's like some middle figure coming up bagin to look
(27:27):
at beep. It's like you and it's likely and yeah,
you know, the the genetics and the people producing them
out there these days, and that you're able to get from, Like,
you know, there's some real special stuff coming in twenty
three with some you know, real well established people in
(27:49):
the industry. What we're gonna be able to get you know,
like amazing source genetics and then and then have breeding
programs that produced some pretty incredible cannabis over the next years.
You know, you have people like uh know Scherbinsky's down
here and Champaillei up north and people who are just
you know, legends of the game. We're going to be Yeah,
shout out to Mario man Sharbinski is a good friend
of ours. Just talking. Yeah, he's a great guy, dude,
(28:12):
We've known for years and just um, you know trooper
in the industry. So so are you are you seeking
out more you know, strange and strange for for for
this brand? Um? Are you sticking to what you have?
The court? You know, the court you know we're always
trying to be dynamic as we're producing and trying to
you know, really find stuff that that has kind of
(28:33):
a lot of unique properties to it. And then with
Julian and something that you know, near and near to
Oliver as well as it's kind of some of the
some of their profiles and some of the genetics that
were popular, you know maybe ten or fifty years ago
that have gone away, you know, O G and and
things of that, like, you know, bringing back that real
gas I used to get saved my life. I used
(28:56):
to go in there and just you know, buy that one,
no discount, You'll buy it every time. All of us
up here for stuff, we're some real connoisseurs, and we've
all agreed that you know, exotic smoke is perfect. Everybody
loves it. You know, it's great. Candy is dope. The true,
the true fucking thing that everybody really seeks when they
(29:19):
smoke weed is that knockout punch. Right. You don't want
to keep smoking weed and filling up up, up, up
up and then crash. You want to be like surree,
really calm, you know what I mean. You can swear,
you can be who you are and then chill out
maybe because some food you're not gonna feel like you're
gonna run thirty different miles and your brain is just
(29:40):
up for fifty hours straight. No, it's like you have
a calm high and you're able to think, you're able
to do at your own pace compared to being at
everybody else's face. Because life is not a sprint. It's
a marathon, as we all know. And O G has
always been my favorite smoke since I its swelve years
old so and should change since twenty four so that's
(30:03):
half of my life I've been smoking. And this is
blessing that I'm with people who recognize O G as
the top of the top and talk about that no
Stalfion bringing back you know, those point of our parents generation.
They want to remember, you know, smoking at maybe a
festival in the sixties or seventies, and you know, I
can't believe that that was smoking from hey, Like, it's
(30:26):
all about in the experience of it all. Well, if
I may give a recommendation, you may want to bring
back to brickweed with seeds and task, I'm gonna plight
to man as long as you that's what I remember
getting is a lot of that you used to get
the hot pot. When you're sitting there, you're rolling on
(30:48):
that album covers. Seeds are over there. That's the definition
of hot pot because you gotta steam it up, because
if you don't steam it up, you gonna be rolling up.
It's gonna rip through all the papers. No robbys say that.
It's just so funny because when I hear of course,
you know, I've had amazed. I used to break it
up in my hand and then boom, the stamwarch just
cut into my phone. Yeah I'm bleeding, I'm over here
(31:09):
and rolled it like this. You know, thank you guys
for going through all that bullshit so we can understand
with true gases because I didn't never broken the weed
down like that. Let stop smoking. It's like I'm moving
a hundred pounds of of you know, like like high
end good cush and it's like, yeah, I was a
woman and you know, three thousand pounds of sucking weed.
(31:31):
Like a week's a week. Like it's a big difference.
It's always different everywhere you go. But you know, like
things like you know, real girls scout cookie from fifteen
years ago, stuff that you don't it doesn't look the
same doesn't have to say no, it's it's chrone the
smell anymore. You can't find that at all. Yeah, and
(31:52):
you know, all over and I were up in uh
in Vancouver, BC, Canada doing some things at the same
time years ago, and up there you had things like
you know, Bubba cush and and you know other things
that people like have these real nostalgic draws too. So
you know, we're you know, with Jake cultivating and you know,
working with with the you know, real established people in
(32:12):
tissue culture and genetics. We'll we'll see what kind of
the future holes. It will definitely be, you know, a
revolving kind of sequence of of interesting things. And I'm
sure we'll we'll have stuff that we bring back, you know,
the basis that we keep from the stable and Oliver,
what's your what's your you know, your background and all this,
Uh Well, I take care of most of the marketing
(32:32):
and sales, so you know, I make sure that our
sales team is doing the best of growing this company
with us. You know, I came from poker before our
company came to the Fruition. But um, yeah, what do
you mean from poker? Well, that's how we met really Yeah,
So Oliver and I met twenty years ago when we
(32:55):
were both kind of playing young gamblers time. I was
I was trying to finish up college as fast as
possible so I could spend more time playing poker, and
Oliver was a few years younger, and so we we've
traveled kind of all over the world playing poker and
doing that. And you know, again, that's actually how we
met Jake as well, because he had, you know, put
(33:15):
in a wheelchair and he couldn't do a lot of
the stuff he's been doing, so he got into playing
Vegas just kind of been from there. And how random
is that I've never played poker. Well, I'm sure these
two guys got a few tricks up their sleeve right there.
And I know stuff's got more than just the as
(33:35):
good smoke. You guys got a lot of merchandise as well. Yeah,
we're we're getting into doing a lot more in the
clothing and merchandise and accessories. We've got some you know,
real cool smell proof bags and some other things that
we like to give away during our demo days and
do customer appreciation stuff. And you know, we're having a
whole new line of things that are going to be
manufactured in l A and all you know, done locally,
(33:56):
sourced locally that we're pretty excited about that will be
coming out over the next couple of you know, we
see what looks at Julian and what he wants to
wear and sell it on the website as well. Yeah,
more than like that. I think we've got like stuffed
gear or stuff dog gear or something like that, one
of those things. And then, um, also, you guys are
in San Diego, but is it a heavier dispensary driven
(34:17):
product that's in San Diego. You guys are all across California. No,
if you were all over the place like you know,
uh places, you know, we crushed in Modesto for some
reason who knows, you know, we moved on a product
up there, uh by Capital probably five times more than
any other areas we're in for whatever reason. Really, this
stuff banging in Modesto. We've been really lucky to you know,
(34:39):
like half a dozen Catalyst stores and I think nine
or more Cookie stores and some of the other really
premier retailers around the state that we were able to
get into early. We've got a great sales guy, Danny
who came from some other brands who had just you know,
a really good roll of deex some people that he
could introduce the brand too and get us up and
running at a at a stree fast pace so that
(35:00):
we're able to get out there and and work with
a bunch of good retailers. We've you know, we've got
a lot of really great stories that we're in throughout
Socale and especially like Hollywood and uh, San Diego. We're
building up more and more. It's an interesting market down there.
But you know, we do our own distribution, so we've
got product going all over the state. You know what's
the number one seller for you guys? Um, I go
(35:20):
ahead and say it's probably at this point, uh, the
mini blunts from a strange perspective, you know, Pletta's and
the phrases any blunts. So the one gray as opposed
to the big two grams. So that's got a lot
easier price point of entry, and we do a lot
of promos where we're giving those product to get one. Um.
You know, the big boy blunts are a little a
(35:41):
little intimidating to some people. You know, people are not
as apt to pick up a two and a half
gram infused blunt and just this one's infused also, and
that's just all flowers. That one I think is the
gualf of gas. And it's you know, a nice small candle,
old hand broken up as well, so it's you know,
(36:02):
very chunky. When you open up the packaging, you can
see that it's broken up the way that a blunt
should be. And I rolled the proper ways that it
smokes nice and even and you know nice. Well, something
we'd like to do with all the guests that come
in is the high five. So we're gonna ask you
guys five questions. You'll answer them just in a road
right here. A matter of fact, we'll start with you, Julian,
since you're the closest one to us, and we'll end
(36:23):
with Ethan. Question number one, and I believe the answer
is twelve. But how old were the first time you
smoked cannabis and where did you get it from? I
was twelve. I was at a party and I was
with some friends that I'm still friends with to this day. Uh.
I don't need to drop no names, but it was
a good time. It was a great time, was it
(36:43):
now that you said don't need to drop no names
if they're still your folks. Um, you know somebody we know, No,
that's not that name. Define city with me. We went.
We grew up playing baseball together. Like he invited me
to this this function, and like I'm, you know, pretty
well known to longe Be Trady I got. I grew
up with everybody's like family. So when I went, I
(37:06):
didn't expect to be ambushed by all these people. I
was already knowing. I was so young. So it was
all of us by a pool, a bunch of girls around.
They passed me the weed and they're like, your dad's smoke.
You got a smoke, And I was like looking around
and nobody told me, don't smoke. I just kept seeing
everybody say smoke, smoke, and it just kept getting louder
(37:27):
and louder. And I was like, well, if I'm gonna
do it, I'm gonna try it now. It was already
in my hand. I can't really say no from here.
So I hit the weed and I remember getting picked
up by my mom. You know, I just remember her
being she's super Hispanic. So the first thing she does
(37:47):
to me is like talking it in Spanish when she
knows them even to this day, like she knows I'm
she still talks to me in Spanish and that's how
I know I'm in trouble or I know she's just
trying to funk with me and have a great time,
because that's all of us. Yeah, So, like she caught
my ass and I was like in the back of
the car and I just was laying back there like
sleep and she's like, are you okay? And I'm like, yeah,
(38:10):
did you say the same thing your boy said like
my dad smokes. I didn't say about being high. I
was scared she's gonna know what. I just was laying
back there. I was like, yeah, I just I just
want to go home, maybe get some food and get
your And she's like all right, she just you know,
I didn't really pay no mind. But when I tell
her this story nowadays, she always thinks back to that
(38:32):
party and she's like, damn, I could tell you we're
fucked up. I didn't need you to tell me. Ye
can with the kids, right, Yeah, Like I didn't really
need you to ever say it, but I knew you.
I knew you were yourself that day because he just
looked out of it. Always tell first time I smokey.
How old you? How are you the first time smoking?
(38:52):
What'd you talking to them? Like? How did you first
time you get it from? And where'd you get it from?
I was ten years old and I was at this
like neighborhood or a kid right with when Golden Knye
came out Superintendo and they had like a hook up
I guess superintendent hooked up to the TV and they
charged you by a minute. Oh my god. There and
then the guy that owned it sold us a bag
of weed. He was Golden Eye used to get the
(39:19):
kids and he was getting the kids high and letting
them rent it original dispensary. Are you kid? Where you
get high? And that sounds like the best arcade ever?
That's a good times it kids thirteen or fourteen. I
stole it from our older brother. It was three olders
free years older than me, and like had left his
pipe out one night while falling asleep, you know hi probably,
(39:42):
and so like there's like a full pipe act on
like the counter. So I like snag that perfect. It's
ready to hit there with a with a friend of
mine and uh, I'm getting pretty hot. Yeah, it's a
good weed back then. Nice, It's always a good time.
Nice question number two of a high five what is
your So how am I saying favorite favorite way to
(40:04):
use or smoke cannabis? I don't go munchy, What is
your favorite way to use or smoke cannabis? Rolling up
a bunch of you guys all can't just go buy
and say stuff? Well, I just like to roll up.
I prefer the element. Really, I would say that it's
like my preference. If I was to get high by
(40:25):
myself and like just kicking at the crib, getting like
the jacuzzi or the polism, that's cool. But socially, I'll
smoke a blunt with people because everybody wants to smoke blunts.
Everybody thinks that like leaves or the ship. So like,
I'll smoke a blunt and I'm not really like too, oh,
don't give me a blunt. Don't give me a joint.
If it's rolled proper and you've got some fire weed
(40:46):
in it, yeah, But if it's some trash spending back out,
I'll throw it out the window, like a CD out
the window back in the day, you know, and people
need to give you a mixtape and it was some garbage. Yeah,
that's where I feel like the we game is at
right now is its handing out mix tapes and you're like, yeah,
I do not wanting here. You know, they come and
(41:11):
show that mixtape in your face, like here by this
mixtape by I got that need a donation? You mean
you need a donation. If I listen to this show,
I'll come back and support you. That's the point of
me being a fucking fan, right, Yeah, I remember Blue
handing me a tape. Listen to my demo, you know
what I mean. No, I still got out a CD,
(41:32):
but but it was handed to I didn't charge him
for it, see you hand but then he didn't respect
it because I gave it to him for free, and
I just you should have charged And you young man,
I want to question. Oh man, I can't remembers joints. Yeah,
(41:56):
definitely going to obviously sitting out bout myself smoking like
the free grand with the Grandma. Really he's not mine. Definitely,
like re Graham Blunt with a Graham wax in it. Yeah,
that's kind of like that's like good morning. That's the
New Year's Eve one. Julie and I are New Year's
(42:17):
Ego one. The morning we're telling people blue was snoop Sun.
I wasn't saying oh yeah, I actually I did say
it twice. Actually, I was so drunk. And then I
was his son that I was just I was I
was I was lost, uh son? Yes, Yeah, that's why
it was worth it. Is that what you're telling on
the way to him? Yeah, I don't even know about
(42:39):
this party question. I threw the hot fire. But the
guys from stuff The craziest place you ever used cannabis
or smoked? Where would that be, Julian, The craziest place,
the craziest place. And I ever smoked weed? A fucking church. Wow,
I've done that before too. And the wrecked a car
in the parking lot, my boy Matt's car, which had
(43:02):
a Mustang, and I backed it right into the church
and the police pulled up. Late night. It was me
and my brother Stephen bro and we was just smoking
weed with a couple of friends. Those friends peeled out.
It's like four in the morning. We're still smoking, getting high.
We got o G. No problem, everything's great. We're like
fifteen sixteen. The home girl lived right here, the church
(43:25):
right here, So he's like, all right, we're right here.
It's no problem, like go back to the crib, no worries.
We pretty much stayed at that house every summer, so
like her dad was cool with us because we were
off family. Like that was our sister growing up. She
still our sisters to this day. Um. But the police
pull up and they boxed us in and it's just
me and the bro and it's raining hard as funck
(43:46):
like like like it was the last few days, right,
And I just remember I was spooked, alright. I was
young at Hell's like super high. Just me and the brow.
Two police officers put us in the back of the car.
I just remember how uncomfortable it was in that car.
And I'm big, like I'm six four or six five,
like still at this point in time, I'm a little
(44:07):
bit taller than that, like a one more inch taller
than that. But at that point I was like fucking
crammed in the back of this police card of like
I hope they don't arrest me for smoking weed. I'm
like fucking stressed out. Then they then they like come
to the back of the car. It's raining hard, all
this rains falling and ship I'm like hanging out the
back of the police car because They're like, kind of
just trying to scare us. Really, they know we're young kids,
(44:29):
they know we're not really up to no no good.
But yeah, we were just It's not like we were
killing somebody or doing some breaking into some ship. It
was just smoking weeds. So they got a call about
some other really important ship and they're like, all right,
we gotta let you guys go. We want you guys
to get the funk out of here. Learn your lesson.
Don't be smoking in churches in public places because you
(44:50):
can get in trouble with this and that. As soon
as they left, we went back to the crib right
there and smoked in the car, just sat in front
of the house. It was one of the would a
public place in front of the time learned the Lessels churches.
It was like, man, we're going to the back yard.
Don't know, we're going to the backyard with this ship.
Because at the end of the day, it was better
(45:11):
to smoke on your own property than it didn't in schools,
churches or sanctuaries. What about you all of us? I
think during a poker tournament at the casino in Vegas,
what was that the Caesar's what was it what at
the World Series Poker, no ship right there at the table.
It was like ten years ago when like penns first
came out, people didn't know if it was a bait
pen and yeah you could smoke them anywhere. You know,
(45:33):
it's like smoking on the table then, and they don't
really know what those dude, nice did you win? Sometimes
sometimes that hilarious Vegas? Yeah, yeah, smoking in the Vegas
is always a good one, I'd say, Like for me,
I was in the planting Hollywood last summer, just smoked
like a giant infused blond with the like the hardballs,
the circle bar in the middle, and nobody stopping or
(45:54):
set anything. It was too late, comes in and says,
you know you're smoking we here. I guess they don't notice.
It must not smell. This entire casino just smells like
a giant fucking blood Like yeah, I tagged him on
this cream is great. Yeah, Like that's the way it
should be, right, I mean, if you're letting me smoke
(46:16):
a cigarette, dude, come on, question number four of the
high five this is three, right, we just did three.
Craziest place you've every Number four is what is your
go to munchie? After you get high fried chicken, fried
(46:37):
chicken from where let's go from where the gas station.
Little cruspies are crazy, So I usually go to this
like spot in those are meatles. It is called Mama's.
They got thrift, these ice cream that you can order
on the side of your French toast that you get
(46:58):
with fried chicken. So I go usually on a Sunday Saturday.
It's like a religious thing for me after church, right
right after Yeah, yeah, you're talking about it's not even
waffles though, it's a French toast. It's French toast instead
of waffles because I like, yeah, I've always liked the
(47:20):
French toast more than waffles, especially if somebody doesn't make
the waffle with that cinnamon vanilla recipe. That's what sets
a part of regular waffles. You already know you just
up a whole lot of people's breakfast is right now
you wake up at the ground and she's not cooking
(47:42):
no breakfast with some vanilla and cinnamon. Yeah, it's like
I'm gonna cook the breakfast with cinnamon and vanilla. So
that's the least I would It was a good day. Indeed,
what about you, Oliver, I don't know how to answer that.
You know, I'm how all day I eat different places,
(48:04):
different parts of the day. So if you could pick
something away, you're like, this is my cow and just
want pizza? What is it? Wees peanut buttercups were frozen
or just regularly frozen. I know that funny. It's like,
that's like an uncrustable frozen on crustable. I generally worked
(48:31):
from the office way too much, so it's basically whatever
someone in the office is brought in and uh, he's
on the counter unavailable. Yeah, I got one business partners
notorious for bringing in sweet things, so it's like crush
those because somebody brought some donuts into day two? Was
how you? I didn't even notice at while fresh? Still
(48:52):
fresh today this morning? Question number five and the High
five with the gentleman from Stuff Cannabis had a San
Diego Stu f still checked him out online. Folks, if
you could smoke cannabis with anyone alive, who would it
be and why? As you ponder Charlie Murphy answer to
(49:19):
the to why I chose Charlie Murphy is because I
can go back in so many fucking predicaments in my
life where Charlie Murphy has made me laugh when I
was with it, very happy already, I was super sad
going through some mental ship, you know, going through something
like figuring out and reevaluating who's around in my life,
(49:39):
and you know, going through countless numerous times where I
could relate to Charlie Murphy. So I believe that if
I got the chance to smoke with him when he
was around, because he acted in a lot of cool
ship that I liked, and he the most memorable stuff
to me was all he did and like Boondocks when
he played in uh with ed Oncester and gener On me.
(50:00):
It was him and Samuel and Jackson going back and
forth in a cartoon, you know what I mean. So
like he got a lot of he got a lot
of wisdom and game. And I think that would be
somebody that I could take a lot from from smoking
weed with and and getting high as funk with if
they were still around. So recipes to Charlie Murphy and yeah,
Eddie hy Eddie. But Eddie was pivotal in my life
(50:23):
as well. When you say that, man, you know what
I mean. So it's funny because Eddie Murphy was very
pivotal on all the movies he's done, So I don't
know how many Murphy Brother. Yeah, I'm not even at
I guess you know everything. You starts smoking weed obviously
the one that you want to smoke with Julia's dad
all the time here, Yeah, cats bring his name up
(50:45):
like no other, like oh shoop, people want to do
it's your legendary. It's one of those things people want
to smoke. It took me so long to smoke with
my dad. I want that to be on director like.
It took me a lot, like it took my dad,
and did not like that I smoked weed. He thought
that it was like the opposite answer for me, because
he believed that it could take me a different route
(51:07):
if I didn't do what I'm doing now right, And
it was like very tin at that point, I would
say one percent chance that I was going to do
the right thing because I was still a teenager and
I was going through like the motions of figuring out
what I wanted to do and who I wanted to
be and what my persona was in life. And luckily
he he started to realize that I was knowing all
(51:28):
the people he knows in the game. Uh, they respected
how I worked, and I was going to keep smoking.
We're regardless of how anybody felt, because it was taking
me to new places. Like I was tight when I
was very young that a basketball can let you travel
the world. So why couldn't a weed plant let me
do the same thing? Oh yeah, and it can and
(51:49):
it has no I've traveled. I've traveled the world because
of weed, and I'm going to keep traveling because of weed.
So my father completely acknowledged that part of me being
a businessman in this industry so heavily already. And you know,
when I got to smoke with him for the first time,
it was like a blessing boom, Yeah, because it was respected.
Wasn't like I was like gifted. That ship was like yo,
(52:10):
you earned it. It was the weirdes ship though for
me because his hand is the same hand as mine,
and like that is like you know, you don't get
you hit your hand, you don't get to see that
lion king ship, Like yeah, like coming up, I remember
(52:39):
that ship like it was yesterday. I used to put
the little they got the Blue b just Disney tapes
in the in the TV, the real animation, the real
like animal looking on ABC the other night, and I
was like, I got stuck watching it, like, oh my god,
there's so many reboots. Every time we look up, there's
a new reboot of something that used to be fucking thinking.
(53:02):
How do you guys spill about the Avatar? I liked it.
I sat there for It was a little too long
for me. But ultimately, you know, uh, you know, as
far as quality of production and and you know, them
keeping a good storyline, it was. It was it was solid.
I you know, I just I micro dosed a little
bit of mushrooms and and and doing it too. So
(53:23):
there was a point where I got the gigglies and
I just started laughing, you know, And so it was cool.
I had, Well, you get to three and a half
hour movie, right, I think it takes December. Yeah, it's
it's a long one. So it's a long What about you, Ethan?
Who would you smoke with? What about before he got sober?
When he still got real fucked up? Which one? Joe Walsh?
(53:44):
It was Joe Walsh who I've drawn a blank Bill
Joe Walsh. I'm thinking Bill Walsh football, and I don't
know who Joe Walsh is. Eagles, Thank you there we go. Musician.
Don't know why I was thinking football, So that's what
he got him on the guitar in there. Yeah, see
I got the Eagles g gets so fucked up and
(54:04):
looked like he was about to piss himself and pass
out and then hit every note perfectly. I mean, still
a great music for musician today. But he's like, so
I'm for sure, So yeah, you gotta be at that,
like if he's still alive. You know when his artists
like that that you used to just go hard with
(54:25):
the you know, acid hits in the head band and
exactly what Carlos and cats like that. Carlos was on
the show. He came in and said he said something
about like he was there when when Hendrix had all
the acid and that all of them were frying, and
he was like he was like yeah, he was like
(54:46):
we're all fucking, you know, pretty much on acid that day.
You know, but he had that twenty seven hits in
his four in his in his you know, in his headband.
He just had twenty seven hits and acid in this headband.
And Carlos like, yeah, we were all frying that day
around acid or something. That was maybe two or seven,
but not seven two? Like what do their hands and
(55:11):
feet feel like after twenty times? You're on the moon
at that point, because I know like after one too,
you can feel like even the sensory nerves in your
tongue are like weird about You're just like, all right,
I just need to sit down right, Like any psychedelic drug,
when did you do that? Like it opens up your
mind to some ship and when you go wover and above.
(55:33):
Because I've had a super fucking mushroom trip in my
left right, like a half ounce in the sitting with
the home girl of mine, and we was just going
back and forth and like we was eating it with
pineapple and ship and the citrus was so good that
I didn't even realize how much mushroom I was eating.
I just kept watching movies laughing. I was laughing for
a total of nine straight hours. It started at like
the Levies to like eight in the morning. That's I
(55:56):
watched the sun come up. That's how up. I was like,
I don't really do the actual caps of mushrooms like
I used to, because the poison that comes off with
those is a little bit too much for my body's
reaction to it. So I prefer and the chocolate bars smack. Yeah,
the chocolate bars smack like a motherfucker. But if you
(56:16):
funk with the chocolate bar, be careful you might end
up still them. Well, guys, before we let you guys
get on out of here, is there anything else that
we want to discuss or talk about your brand? This
is just like, you know, a really exciting time, you know,
breaking Julian on and and having us, you know, work together.
You know, we're all real close. We become you know,
(56:37):
real good friends, and Alliver and I have known each
other for decades and you know, we've gotta we've got
a real good family and stuff that we're gonna build
out something I think pretty special over the next few months,
over the next year, working together so that we can
really establish a strong position in this industry. So, you know,
we're very excited to have Julian on board. It's kind
of like, you know, first time really announcing it out there.
We're gonna have some other media and things that some
(56:58):
other campaigns playing, but you know, we're gonna be doing
a lot of events and doing some strange specific drops
and specifically like you know, Julian stuff going forward, throughout
southern California. So pretty happy to get all that going.
Shouldn't show Joli and we talking about doing the show.
I would love to discuss more about it, you know,
let's get that should roll in because I've you know,
(57:19):
know you since I was young, and and now I'm
working with Stuff very closely on the daily basis really
building a brand and and understanding the license side of
the business, and it's a blessing, you know. And to
intertwine that well what I love to do, which is
talk about weed, to show people and educate them on
the benefits of cannabis and the uses that you can
(57:40):
really be productive while enjoying cannabis, because that's the most
important part. A lot of people that we were talking
about earlier don't understand that productivity doesn't rely on if
you smoke or not. It's all about if you have
the will to succeed, right, the will to drive yourself
to new heights. And I'm blessed that Ethan and Oliver
Travis is Jake. Everybody on the Stuff team believes in
(58:04):
me to be the face of the brand, and and
growing up, I knew this was always gonna be my
career and it wasn't something that I had to shy
away from. Yeah, I had to embrace him. And I'm
grateful that I have a full team that fully understands
that I'm embracing who I am and this is me
and stuff is a lifestyle. So I can't wait to really,
(58:25):
you know, show everybody to over this next year that
O G is the best strain and we're gonna kill
it all with everything we already got going on from I,
let us the serial killer and the blunts. The blunts
are amazing, and make sure you get those to ask
for that dispensary near you. Check out their website, Stuff
