Oguchi Onyewo, also known as Gooch, spent 10 years on the US Men's National Soccer Team and played on numerous European club teams, before finally capping his career off with Philadelphia Union of Major League Soccer.

Gooch is a first generation American whose parents emigrated from Nigeria and worked diligently to provide for him and his four siblings to help them excel in whatever they chose to do in life.  It just so happened to be soccer that Gooch focused on and he had a strong desire to be the best since he was a young child.

Where did that drive come from?  What were his parents like during his athletic career and what is Gooch's advice for parents today?
