(00:02):
Don't know really what I'm calling thisone at this moment in time. I
appreciate that's a really good start toa podcast, but it's about aligning your
motivations, I guess, with thebelief that you can actually make it happen,
(00:24):
and they have to be aligned.I was reading this article earlier in
the week about to give yourself thebest chance of you know, achieving your
big goals, then you need toclearly visualize the end result and how that
makes you feel when all this typeof thing, and I then read something
(00:47):
else later on in the week thatactually said, no, that's a little
rubbish, because because what you shouldbe doing is focusing on the specific action.
Forget the end result and focus onthe steps required in the journey and
visualize those feelings, and that createsthe motivation to make it happen. And
(01:12):
they both have their place in theworld. And that's down to what's it
down to. It's down to howrealistic your dreams and goals and aspirations are.
(01:33):
And neither is right or wrong. This is the Confidence and Self Seen
podcast. By the way, Iappreciate I've just turned on and started recording,
but these are my thoughts on thesubject. It's thing's been sort of
going round and round in my headand I just needed to articulate it,
I guess. So this is whyboth can be true and both may not
(01:57):
be true. Let's where do Istart here? We go? So number
one, If your goals are massive, then so let's pretend I mean that
(02:25):
the average person doesn't know what it'slike to have a million pounds in their
bank account, right, me included. So let's say that's the goal.
It'storying a million pounds. If youjust start closing your eyes and dreaming of
what it feels like to have amillion pounds in your bank account, right,
it's very realistic. The average persondoesn't know how that feels. So
(02:49):
to be able to create that feelingand those emotions and that be sort of
motivational and inspirational and something that thencreates, you know, there's thoughts and
feelings, create the actions required toachieve that. It's a long ass because
people are just like sooner or laterare just going to go, well,
this ain't happening. So it meansthat the true feelings that you have towards
(03:15):
it, you don't believe it yourselfsubconsciously, and therefore the chances are happening
are quite remote, aren't they. But you know, we probably all know
what it feels like to have, you know, a ten pound note in
your hand or a ten dollar billin your hand, depending on which country
(03:35):
you're in, etc. Right,So you can recreate those feelings quite easily
because you can probably you probably knowhow what it feels like. You probably
can identify the emotions and the feelingsthat it would create that you would have
in your mind if you wanted torecreate that now, and you could probably
(04:01):
clearly articulate that to yourself or maybeto others in a lot of detail,
And the chances of that therefore happeningare greater because you can get better clarity
on that thing. Right, Andin both instances, the only difference here
is the amount that we're we're tryingto visualize or create. You know,
(04:25):
the concept is exactly the same. The concept is we are creating money,
we are visualizing having money, we'remanifesting money where we're visualizing being in a
place where we have that money. The only difference is the amount, and
that's what the saying rules apply toto anything you're looking to visualize and create
(04:46):
a lot of people struggle on aday to day basis with taking action,
with losing weight, with success ina relationship. What are you serious about?
You know, where are you onthis journey and what are you serious
about doing? Because if you're ifyou're visualizing, I don't know, the
(05:11):
perfect marriage and having a loving family, and yet you're somebody who's not even
dating, then then you're you're you'remaybe setting your targets too big. Maybe
what you need to do is justpull them back in and start thinking about
do you know what I'm going tostart dating. I'm going to start,
(05:33):
you know, buying some clothes andsome nice perfume or after shave and just
get out there and and you know, see what's out there and start dating
a few people and seeing the typesof personalities I like or dislike. Right,
that is what you need to bedoing. You need to be pulling
(05:55):
it back vice versa. If you'resomebody who's in a place where you know
what, I've been on twenty datesin in you know, I don't know,
maybe I've been in twenty relationships inthe last twenty months, and none
of them seem to be going anywhere. Then maybe you need to start thinking
a bit further ahead and start thinkingabout what's your bigger aims and objectives,
(06:16):
because maybe you need to now startthinking about that and ensuring it aligns therefore
with the actions you take with yournext date, with your next relationship,
etc. There's et cetera, etcetera saying that a lot today. So
this whole yeah, it's just aninteresting concept that I think lots of people
(06:41):
in the world we live in liketo define that you should not do this
and you should do this. AndI think what I've concluded from all this
it's it's horses for courses, isn'tit. Some of these things are right
for certain people, they're not rightfor others, and no one piece of
advice is right for everyone. Andthat's probably the takeaway from this podcast today,
from this particular episode, is froma confidence and self esteem point of
(07:03):
view, the important thing is doingwhat's right for you and not you know,
watching one hundred YouTube videos or TikTokvideos and taking the advice of and
assuming that that has to be theway it is because that's the way one
person who's successful does it. That'swhat has to be done for you.
(07:25):
Because ultimately they are on a differentpart of their journey, They're in it
a different stage. We're all atdifferent stages. Arguably, the right thing
to do with all of this isforget that, start focusing a bit more
on the immediate where you are,get clear on that, and then you
can start setting the goals that youcan buy into that motivate you because you
(07:50):
can see the reality of them playingout and you can buy into the fact
that, yeah, this really couldhappen. That is today's Confidence and Self
Esteem Podcast. Have a fantastic weekendno matter where you are. Good Bye,
