but I just listened to It wason Radio two where they get someone on
whose birthday is and they get tochoose the next song, but they give

them they don't. They give themone song and they say you can play
that song that can be your songchoice, or you can take a gamble
on the second one. And ifthey decide not to take the first one,
and they go for the second one. Then they can choose that one
because they don't know what they are. So I rephrase this again. So

they play one song and they say, do you want this as your birthday
song? So you've got to,like, you know, take a gamble
on the next song that you don'tknow where they are. But anyway,
they play three, so if youturn down the first two, they have
to choose the third one. Andof course sometimes it's a really good song
and sometimes it's a not too goodone. And the first song today and

it's also normally songs that were numberone on this day and on this day
apparently You're the one and I wantyou are the one and one was number
one many years ago, and thatwas the first song that came out and
the caller turned it down and sheshe goes, I really love this song,

and he says, the DJ went, well, why don't you choose
it then? And she goes,no, I'm going to gamble. And
it just that alone made me thinkabout the psychology behind what she is looking
for. She's what, what areyou looking for into the two other in
the two other songs then that youhaven't received in this first one, and

then the second one was it wassomething like Bewitched, and she goes no.
It's like she straight away went no. She went, I'm going to
choose the third song and he wentyeah. Then the DJ went, you've
put yourself in the corner here,haven't you, And she went yeah,
regretting my choices already. And Idon't even know what the third song is,

So it's it's it's weird. Notno, it's not weird, it's
it's interesting. The psychology behind that, from my point of view, that
she's found the song that she reallyloved but just sort of decided to override

it because she's expecting something else.Keep gambling, maybe something better will come
along. And it just made methink that in life, are we holding
out for something else? Quite oftenwe do. Quite often we think that

everybody else has something better than us, and we need to not stick with
that song that actually we know weenjoy, and instead we should throw it
away and take a chance because everybodyelse has this worked out, everybody else
has something better, and therefore maybethere's something better for me. And I've

been thinking a bit recently about aboutwhat have I been thinking about I've just
been thinking about being present and inthe moment, because so often we are

so busy focusing in on everything thatgoes on in life, we are not
appreciating where we are now. We'renot taking time out to say, this
is where I am in this moment, right this second. I can only

control right this second. I can'tcontrol what happens later on today, or
this evening or next weekend or sixmonths time. All I can do is
be in control of how I handlemyself this particular moment, quite literally,

this particular second. And as you'venoticed, I'm probably talking a bit slower
and a bit calmer because even thismyself, makes me live in the moment
more. It makes me appreciate themoment more, makes me reflect on this

moment in more detail. To acertain degree, be more at peace with
myself. I guess less worrying abouteverything that's going on around me. And

there have been lots of moments,I mean, probably hundreds of thousands,
if not millions, of moments inmy life where I'm so busy trying to
be three steps ahead because that's whatI need to be doing for my job,
or that's what I need to bedoing for you know, to get

the job done, because I wantto get on and do something else,
or I just haven't actually appreciated thatmoment, been too busy worrying about how
I'm being perceived, or worrying aboutother people, or just not being present

and in that moment. And that'swhat I mean by sort of questioning my
life choices. It's, you know, very little has happened in my life
that I'm you know, I regret, but there's plenty in my life which
I could have got a different outcomeif I made some different choices. Just
