Ellis. And I'm Kat Liddell.
And this is the Insider Report. So let

the Brookings Harbor area and beyond.
Well, hello. Hello. Hello. And welcome to this
week's show that keeps you in the know.
Hey, Kat. Hey, Bruce. How are you doing
(00:24):
this lovely Monday morning? How about you? How's
your Halloween weekend? It was
surprisingly busy. My goodness. I got started on
Thursday. I went to that double feature screening
of, Robert Mann's Airbnb and the pumpkin carver,
that the Wild Rivers Film Festival very graciously
hosted at the Redwood Theater. Yes. And,
and then I ended up, doing some some
impromptu,
(00:45):
leading some impromptu interviews on the on their
little red carpet step at Room P with
some of the leaders I noticed. They got
you, like, give me your mic and you're
on. I was gonna they were like, would
you do some interviews? And they handed me
a microphone. I was like, sure. I can
do that. I know all of you pretty
well. So yeah. Yeah. I did some q
and a's with them. I'm I think the
video for that will be coming out soon,
but they got some nice pictures. So Yeah.
And I've seen those making the rounds on
social media. Yep. I saw those on Facebook.
(01:06):
Really, some great pictures. Mhmm. Yeah. And then
on, on Friday, a a friend who was
who was working at the the haunted house
asked if I'd come come be a guest
in their in their spot on on the
haunted house. So first time in years that
I went back to the haunted house and
and did a little bit there. So, I
I came through relatively unscathed and intact. It's
a huge place. Yeah. Yeah. But that was
a busy, busy Halloween night. And then on
(01:29):
on Saturday, it was well, it was a
work day for me. But but before before
I went into work, I, I ran the
the Run for Your Life five k at
Check Cove early. You did that one. Okay.
Good. Turned around, like, hopped in the shower,
got dressed, went to work. And then right
after work, I went to went to,
Founders Circle party for the for the film
festival
that, where people got to do a meet
(01:49):
and greet with Robert Mann, the director. Yeah.
Yeah. And it was good. Oh, the food
was so good. It was so good. Yeah.
It was a good time. Lots of lots
of good times with good folks. But and
then Sunday, I just I I made cupcakes
and crashed. There you go. Well, you know,
you should after doing something like that. Yeah.
I was like, my gosh. I I am
I don't know how to say no to
things. I just I'll I'll go to any
old shindig, I guess.
(02:09):
Well, you know what? It's funny. During during
the summertime, I'm the I'm talking every weekend
about, yeah. I have five days, six days
of doing this blah blah blah. I had
a long weekend and everything. I got bed
and this now in the wintertime, it's like,
you you get to run out there and
do all that fun stuff. I I realized,
yeah, my activity kind of in the winter.
Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. So we have our
seasons. Yeah. We have our seasons. Yeah.
(02:30):
Yeah. Absolutely. So How about you and Junior?
How how the hell did we go? Okay.
Okay. Tell me. That was just funny as
that was just the weirdest thing. So, anyways,
it rained. I had my roof being worked
on, getting vents and stuff put in, and
Yeah. Had to stop on Thursday because it
started, you know,
and everything like that. Raining a little bit
on him, so he had to stop. So
he had to come finish it on Friday.
(02:52):
So and he came around the time we
were gonna go down to the chamber thing.
Right? And couldn't go to that one because
by the time the dude was done Right.
It was past that. Right. So Junior is
getting a little antsy, and I'm sitting there
going
and it was about 06:00. And I go,
okay. Let's, go ahead and do a let's
go trick you know, he wanted to go
trick or treat. I said, do you want
me to wait till it gets a little
darker and stuff like that? And he goes,
no. I wanna go now. I'm ready to
(03:13):
go now. Okay. Okay. You got it. So
we went. Right? Mhmm. Well, yeah. There was
nobody hardly out. You can't tell because nowadays,
you almost gotta go at dark so you
know who's home and who's not because people
leave their lights off a lot. They're you
get one out of five houses maybe that'll
serve, be doing trick or treat. Yeah. You
know, right right to what used to be.
Yeah. As it was last year and everything
(03:34):
like that. So so here's what he does.
We drive around the block in the area
we easily go. Mhmm. And he goes, you
know what, papa?
Why don't we just go get me some
McDonald's then? And we call it a night.
I was like, are you kidding me? No.
Yeah. You know? And he did. He wanted
to go McDonald's. And I said, you sure
you don't wanna go? He was, like, ready
to go home, relax,
(03:55):
do that. And then a friend came over
the next day and There you go. Brought
a big bag of candies
that she had, and it was like, oh,
okay. Well, he got he it was like
he went. You know? Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Without
doing man, no. He just isn't he wasn't
interested in the events this year. He said,
I did six years of that. I'm gonna
take a break for a minute. And then
the Halloween done that. The Halloween, he's doing
the same attitude, and I'm like, oh, okay.
(04:16):
You know? You know? I was like, wow.
The only time I really like it, though,
is Mhmm. When we go to Azalea Park
for the lights. Yeah. And, you know, Santa
Claus lines are, like, Oh, yeah. Mile long.
Yeah. He I go, well, you wanna go
see Santa Claus? And he's just like, not
interested. No. And that when I was younger,
I'm good. Yep. Yep. I know. He's getting
into, like, that tween age too. What can
(04:36):
I say? I buy I go buy him
a hot chocolate and love her. Yeah. I
go And we have a grand old time.
Yeah. And it's like a beautiful thing. So
that was it. Yeah. I had a good
one. The Dodgers won these World Series, so
that I heard that. I saw that going
down and everything. And then,
yeah. Yeah. It was great. We my three
my teams played football,
all won this week. They all last last
last week except for the Ducks, and then
(04:57):
the Ducks had it by this week. And
the Sooners won, the Vikings won, and the
Niners won. So I was happy to go
camper this weekend on that stuff. So yeah.
Yeah. Hey. It was a grand old weekend
for you. Yeah. We just, yeah. We're enabled,
but the roof's done. But your roof's done,
man. That's what matters. And I gotta tell
you, you know that movie. I was just
telling them out there Mhmm. That movie I'm
writing Mhmm. Six hours
(05:19):
I spent on it this weekend. Oh, you
got some more time. Oh, it's one of
those that where, like I was saying, when
I usually write, a script or something like
that, I I focus on what I thought
of that night, and I write it down
and everything. And it just stay on that.
With this one Mhmm. I'm sitting here writing,
and all this stuff's flamin' into my head,
and I've just so, like, a paragraph turns
into, like Mhmm. Four paragraphs, you know, and
(05:40):
a whole scene is done all of a
sudden. I'm like, I'm going beautiful. Okay. So
that's going really well. I'm really doing it.
Yeah. And it's funny.
Junior helped me with some a character, the
bad guy, and, this is gonna be so
funny. It's gonna be so funny. Oh, I
can't wait to I can't wait to to
hear more as the production gets underway. That's
really cool. That's really cool. Inspired me on
Nice. And it was cool. Yeah. Well, hey.

put your name on that. Unfortunately, you're not
our lucky winner if you did not put

Alright. And that's just the tip of the
iceberg, but we gotta get moving here, and
it's time for quotes from famous people with
cousin Bruce. Yeah. Here are a few quotes
from martial artist, Bruce Lee. He was born
11/27/1940.
He says a goal is not always meant
to be reached. It often serves simply as
something to aim at.
He goes, adapt what is useful, reject what
(15:56):
is useless, and add what is specifically your
own.
That's one of my personal mantras right there
from you. And if you spend too much
time thinking about a thing, you'll never get
it done. And then last but not least,
if you love life, don't waste time, for
time is what life is made up of.
There you go. Hope you enjoyed this week's
quotes from Bruce Lee with cousin Bruce. Till
next week. Have a great one. Dig it.
(16:18):

arts right there. Yeah. Oh, yeah. Very inspiring

healthy lifestyle.
It's also a whole lot of fun. Trevor
