Matt Nichol has been coaching professional and Olympic athletes for 26 years and is recognized as one of the preeminent authorities in the world of sports performance. Matt has worked in the NHL and the NFL and currently acts as a consultant for a number of professional athletes, teams and organizations with a specific interest in maximizing athletic performance by maximizing human health. 

 

Outside of his work in athletics, Matt has founded, directed, and partnered with several innovative companies. Most notably, he was the founder and product formulator at BioSteel Sports Nutrition, a manufacturer and distributor of sports drinks and nutritional supplements. During his tenure with the company, he helped BioSteel grow from a start-up with a shoestring budget to a multi-million dollar business with global distribution.

 

Matt received his Bachelor of Concurrent Education from McGill University in Montreal, completing a double major in Physical Education and History and his Masters of Kinesiology and Masters of Coaching from York University in Toronto.
