Lotfi El Hamidi is praktiserend moslim en sinds februari (opnieuw) redacteur bij De Groene. Samen met zijn bejaarde moeder maakte hij dit voorjaar de Umrah: de kleine bedevaart die, anders dan de Hadj, het hele jaar door kan worden afgelegd.
