Speaker 1 (00:04):
Welcome to the D Love podcast with Vanessa and Chris.
I'm Vanessa Ferguson.
And

Speaker 2 (00:09):
I'm Chris Johns.

Speaker 1 (00:10):
We'd like to welcome you to show number 127 and for
any listeners joining us for thefirst time, our show features
things we love at Disney.
And in each episode we have aguest who creates Disney Magic
for our listeners at home or ontheir Disney vacations.
From vacation planners toproduct producers, our guests
can bring Disney Magic into yourlife.

(00:30):
And as a reminder to ourlisteners, we appreciate if you
can take time to leave us areview on Apple Podcasts or any
other platform where you listenthat helps new listeners find us
and of course helps us showgrow.
Now before we get started, Chris, we as usual, we have a message
from ourfriends@orlandovacation.com

Speaker 2 (00:47):
And that message is save money.
The most important thing aboutgoing to Disney is having the
money to spend on all the thingsyou wanna buy.
And the great way to save moneyis by using a property through
orlando vacation.com.
Use the code dis love D I S L OV E to save 5% off your next
booking of three or more nights.

(01:08):
And as we know, if you're not aresident of Central Florida,
you're not gonna go to Disneyfor less than three nights,
correct.
And so the great thing aboutOrlando vacation.com is they
have properties that are fit fora small family.
There's just three of us,Vanessa, myself, and our
daughter.
And we also have friends thathave four kids and wanna take a
long family.
So they have properties that canencompass any size of family.

(01:29):
And if you're gonna do a group afamily reunion, a get together,
do it in Orlando vacation.comproperty.
And when you do that, use thecode dis love at checkout, you
save 5% and that's a great wayto have money for souvenirs and
things in the park.
You know what I use?
And for food, I got mychocolate chip cookie sandwich.
I got two chocolate chip cookiesand I got cookies and cream ice

(01:53):
cream and that was for money Isaved.
And if I would've saved, went toan Orlando vacation.com
property, I would've saved evenmore money to spend an ice cream

Speaker 1 (02:00):
.
All right, so remember to usethat code.
And on today's show we are goingto be joined by Katie from
Goldilocks Mama.
Her business offers Disneyinspired headbands and other
hair accessories.
They're super cute.
I'm excited to share all abouther business with you.
But before we get to ourinterview with Katie today,
we're gonna be talking about allof the Easter festivities at

(02:23):
Walt Disney World.
Uh, like to give a special thankyou to the Disney and to Disney
Tourist blog.
Found some great things onthere.
And then also sharing, we werejust in Orlando and went to
Disney and we were able to catchan early part of some of the
festivities as well.
So we'll be talking about that alot.
And we've been there duringprevious years.

(02:45):
I will give kind of a warning ifyou go the week of Easter or
really the week before, weekafter, the park's gonna be crazy
busy because usually a lot ofplaces Easter coincides with
spring break.
So that's something to keep inmind.
So we're not necessarily sayingthat this is always your best
choice in terms of having easyaccess on rides and that sort of

(03:09):
things, but if you're there andyou have to go at this time or
even during March and April, some of these things are gonna
be going on.
So we're looking forward tosharing all of that with you.
Now.
We'll first start at the parksand then we'll move to some of
the resorts and talking aboutsome of the food.
So starting off at Magic Kingdomnow, it's been a while since we

(03:29):
were there when they wereactually at the parks, but for
the week or two right beforeEaster, Mr and Mrs Easter Bunny
will be there and they call itthe Bunny Lane Garden.
It's right by the, it's the townsquare courtyard by on Main
Street usa.
So really it's right by cityhall right near the entrance.
You'll see it over to the left.

(03:49):
This is where Santa does hismeet and greets as well.
And often there's not a longline to see that Easter Bunny
and Mrs.
Easter Bunny and we did thisyears ago.
Chris, do you remember seeingthe Easter Bunny at Magic
Kingdom?

Speaker 2 (04:01):
I sure do.

Speaker 1 (04:03):
And they, they're top notch Easter bunnies because I
will tell you, there have beensome scary Easter bunnies that
we've seen near where we live inMichigan and this is a good
Easter

Speaker 2 (04:12):
Bunny.
Very good.
Not the thing of dreams, notnightmares

Speaker 1 (04:16):
.
That is very true.
Um, so if you're there, usuallythere's not a long line.
I think maybe just people don'tnotice it or maybe they're, I
mean you're not at Disney to seethe Easter Bunny, but if you're
there you can get some greatpictures.
So that's always fun to do.
And usually it's for a coupleweeks leading up to Easter.
They are usually during the dayfrom like nine to five ish.

(04:36):
So check out um, on the app tosee when the meeting meet and
greet is and then usually thereis a PhotoPass person there as
well.
Now this is something we'venever saw in person because
we're not there for Easterweekend, but if you were at the
Magic Kingdom on Easter weekend, there is uh, there's kind of a
thing that's called the AzaleaTrail Maids.

(04:58):
These are high school seniorsthat come, they're official
ambassadors from Mobile,Alabama.
And they come and they wear thekind of the traditional period
dresses that around thetimeframe for Main Street usa.
They're dressed like theirdresses look like flowers and
they will be in the, usuallywhatever parades taking place at
Magic Kingdom.

(05:19):
They've been doing it for over40 years.
I've saw pictures and thecostumes are really beautiful.
So that's something fun if youhappen to be there that weekend,
I'd love to see your photos, share them with us because I've
saw pictures online and it lookssuper beautiful.
So that's kind of a fun thing todo if you are there over Easter
weekend.
Now, something that has alreadystarted that started in

(05:41):
mid-March this year and usuallyit's about three to four weeks
before Easter, they have what'scalled the extravaganza
scavenger hunt.
And we talked about this alittle bit in our episode about
flower and garden.
This takes place at Epcot and doyou remember seeing when we were
there a couple weeks ago, thehidden Easter eggs?

Speaker 2 (06:02):
Yes I do.

Speaker 1 (06:04):
Do you really?

Speaker 2 (06:05):
Yes.

Speaker 1 (06:06):
Okay,.
So we already saw some of thesein Epcot.
So essentially it's like thescavenger hunts they have for a
lot of the festivals.
You purchase it, it's$10, youget a map that has the stickers
that tells you where they arethroughout the world showcase.
And essentially you hunt downtheir oversized eggs of Disney
characters.
So we saw two or three of themon our last day at Epcot when we

(06:31):
were leaving to head home andthey're super cute.
What happens is you go aroundand as you find them you put the
sticker on the map.
Once you complete the map you goto Disney Traders or World World
Traveler, which are the storesright at the kind of entrance to
World Showcase coming fromfuture world.
And you get a special prizesuper fun thing to do with kids,

(06:53):
adults.
It's something to mix up whatyou might normally do at the
park and a little tip, even ifyou don't find them all they
will give you your price cuzessentially you've paid for it
with that$10 cost.
So that's a fun activity to do.
I think all of these littlehunts are fun in particular if
you go to the parks a lot, itgives you something new to try.

(07:14):
You can get a fun little prize.
I have some pictures of the mapsand of some of the eggs that I
will definitely make sure toshare and I think it just adds a
little aspect.
What do you think about some ofthose hunts?
I think it's fun.

Speaker 2 (07:27):
Well especially I think if, if this trip is your
third or fourth round of Disneyand allows you to kind of find
those nooks and crannies thatyou might have not explored in
the past or if you're there forthe first time, you wanna ride
all the rides and you wanna makesure you get as much outta your
day.
Whereas for us, you know, we're20 plus rounds of Disney so far
and we can really appreciate thetime that you can put into a

(07:48):
scavenger hunt.
So for, I know we had friends acouple of visits ago where we
did that and it was fun.
It's just a nice way to reallymake sure that you see
everything.
The podcast offer

Speaker 1 (07:57):
And the few that we did find on this trip, they are
kind of tucked back in areas.
So like the one at the UKPavilion is back in the
courtyard where they have theconcerts and like Mary Poppins
meet and greet.
So it really does, like Chriswas saying, it takes you into
those nooks and crannies thatyou might not otherwise go to.
Now we talk a lot about food andas you all know, food is a big

(08:22):
part of our trips.
Now every year there are usuallya few of the restaurants on
property that will have aspecial Easter brunch.
Typically Olivia's Cafe, old KeyWest and Whispering Canyon at
Wilderness Lodge as well as AleEncompass at yacht club have a
brunch.
They have not made anyannouncements and we're already

(08:42):
just a couple weeks out.
The one place that has made anannouncement for 2023 is
Steakhouse 71.
It's only available on EasterSunday and it's a brunch they
have, they have some specialmenu items, Floridian eggs
Benedict, which is two poachedeggs and a crab cake with a
Holland sauce.

(09:03):
They also have some specialbacon and eggs that's made with
pork belly smoked cheese grits.
And this is funny, I think thereis like a bread pudding fad
going on across Disney propertycuz I do like bread pudding.
But exclusive to this brunch isa hummingbird bread pudding that

(09:24):
has pineapple banana, coconutbread pudding with candy pecan
salted caramel and cream cheese, ice cream that is quite the
bread pudding.

Speaker 2 (09:34):
It's extravagant, it sounds delicious

Speaker 1 (09:36):
, so just like that hummingbird cake but in
bread pudding form.
So that is the brunch that'savailable.
Now the area where you reallyget a wide range and I don't
even have enough time to talkabout everything are the snacks
and we all know that Disney doessnacks up for everything.
Whenever there's a reason tohave a special snack, they will

(09:58):
put them out there.
I will say some of these snacksare only available from April
1st until Easter Sunday.
Other snacks are do are good forthe entire month.
So you'll definitely wanna checkit out if there's something that
you're interested in.
A lot of the ones like at DisneySprings, at the Patisserie, in
the gri, they will only havethose available until April 9th.

(10:20):
I think some of the cute thingsare like there is a, most of you
have probably seen at the gri, they usually have hollow
chocolate somethings that youcan break open and there's
something inside.
They have a super cute bunnythat when you break it open it's
filled with little marshmallowtreats.
So fun little things like that.

(10:40):
Also when you go to some of theresorts, there is a lot of great
things as well and some of thesnack highlights there are, you
have at a lot of carrot cakeitems and ones that are super
cute with like thumper themes.
So at the food courts, at theAll-Star Resorts, they have a

(11:03):
Thumper carrot cake, which is socute, it has a little thumper,
it looks like he's made outtachocolate.
And it has cream cheese frostingthat's available all month.
And then when you go over to Artof Animation, they have a
coconut sugar bunny cupcake.
It's a carrot cake withpineapple filling and then it
has a cream cheese butter creamwith a coconut sugar.

(11:26):
I will say Disney has reallyslid a little bit on their
cupcake game.
So I'm hoping some of these aretasty, you'll have to let us
know.
And there are some even somemore unusual things like over at
the Beach Club.
They have a carrot garden fudge.
I'm not sure how I feel aboutthis.

(11:46):
It's a chocolate fudge with avanilla carrot cookie.
I'm hoping that it's really justvanilla flavored and there's no
carrot flavor in there.
Um, you also have a lot of funEaster egg chocolate.
So at Beach Club as well, theyhave a Donald and a daisy egg.
They also have um, some eggs atsome of the other resorts as

(12:08):
well at Beaches and Cream.
I don't know how I feel aboutthis.
I like carrot cake.
But Chris, what do you thinkabout this at Beaches and Cream?
The ice cream shop?
Yes, they have a carrot cakemilkshake for, for all of these
Olive of April a vanilla MAmilkshake with toasted
marshmallow pineapple andshortcake tapped with a
specialty carrot

Speaker 2 (12:28):
Cake.
Sounds delicious.

Speaker 1 (12:29):
Yeah, I mean I love carrot cake so I'm, I'd be
interested to check it out.
Um, there's also some atContempo Cafe, which is known
for a lot of good things.
They have a spring coconutmacaroon and they also have a
bunny tart, which sounds supercute really.
You can just go on from there at, they also have a hummingbird

(12:50):
cake.
So you can have the hummingbirdbread pudding at Sacco 71 but go
upstairs to Contempo Cafe andget the hummingbird cake and
then it just goes on from there.
There's tons of carrot cakeflavored things.
Um, at some of the bars theyhave some special sangria's and
other drinks.
So check it out.
Any of the restaurants you planto go to or if you're staying at

(13:10):
a different resort, look on theapp, see what's available.
Most of these are availablethroughout the month, so that's
nice.
So you don't have to necessarilybe there Easter week, but check
it out.
Lots of great options for foodthroughout the, throughout the
resorts and the parks as well.
Now moving on from food, if youare religious, there are usually

(13:33):
there will be religious servicesthat are held in the Fantasia
ballrooms at Disney'sContemporary Resort on Easter
Sunday.
You can check it out.
There's usually Catholic mass aswell as a Protestant se.
Protestant service.
So make sure to, you can inquireat the Contemporary Resort.
They haven't published times forthose yet, but those are usually
every year on Easter Sunday aswell.

(13:56):
Now last but not least, we aregonna talk about the Easter egg
displays at the resorts and Iwill say I think these are
amazing works of art.
Now Chris kind of wasn't superthrilled with them, but what did
you think about those chocolateEaster eggs?

Speaker 2 (14:11):
Oh, they're very elaborate.

Speaker 1 (14:12):
Yes.
And we've seen them more thanonce.
We've seen them a couple oftimes.

Speaker 2 (14:15):
Again, I would not call myself an art patron, no.
So I'm not a good judge of art.

Speaker 1 (14:21):
Now these are the equivalent of what you see at
Christmas when they have thegingerbread displays.
They have Easter egg displaysand these are at the
Contemporary Cafe, or I'm sorry, contemporary Resort, the Grand
Floridian Resort.
And there's some at the BeachClub Resort Lobby.
And I tell you what, we werethere and I could not find them,

(14:42):
I'm not sure if we were a littleearly for them, but we did have
our friends Shane and Charliesent us some great pictures of
the ones at the ContemporaryResort and those are gonna be on
the fourth floor atrium.
And then we personally, we allgot to see on our recent trip
the ones at the Grand Floridianand they're in the lobby and
they have so many cool displays.

(15:03):
Everything is made out ofchocolate.
They had a figment one withSpaceship Earth that I love.
They had one with a ton ofcharacters that was being hand
painted during the day.
They had a world showcase.
Well the Epcot one had the worldlike things for each part of the
world showcase.
They had really elaborateencanto one, they had uh, some

(15:26):
life size ones from the movieup, just really Orange Bird,
every kind of character.
There was a casting one that hadWalt, there was one for the 50th
at Contemporary.
They had for, it's a smallworld, just so much detail.

(15:47):
We went, what had happened is wewere at the Magic Kingdom for
the day.
We had dinner at Ohana and wewere going back to Magic Kingdom
for late night hours.
It's a super easy hop off on themonorail.
We got off, went down, spent, Ithink we were probably there a
half hour or more, don't youthink?
Christian?

Speaker 2 (16:04):
Definitely just looking at everything.
Yes.

Speaker 1 (16:05):
Yeah.
And it's nice too, like we hadsome family with us that weren't
going into the parks, but it wasa fun little thing for us to all
go to together and check out.
They are, I think this goes intowhat Chris talks about a lot is
Disney adds little things foryou to do that just I think up
what you would have compared toany other place that you would

Speaker 2 (16:27):
Go.
And, and that's the whole point.
And I was actually talking tosome folks about our Disney
experience and they just said, you know, what do you like about
Disney?
And I said, it's just the littlethings where you notice when you
go to other parks or you know, even nice hotels, you notice the
little things that aren'thappening, the scuffs, the
scrapes, the little things.
Whereas with Disney, everythingis on point and it's that are,

(16:49):
they're able to pull theartistry, whether it be from
animation all the way down tothese really custom, wonderfully
designed Easter eggs.
And there's just so manyopportunities to see the
creativity of people.

Speaker 1 (17:02):
And if you love chocolate it smells really good.
And it's funny because there'swarning signs that you are not
supposed to eat the displays.
Now don't be upset if you'd liketo sample some things from, from
the Easter egg displays, justlike at Christmas time where
they have the little gingerbreadcottage that you can purchase

(17:23):
some of the items for.
They have what's called theGrand cottage and that's right
in the Grand Floridian Resort orin the lobby.
And they have a bunch of thehandcrafted things that go into
what some of the displays thatthey have.
And they have really cute, theyhad cute Easter eggs.
They had a bunch of cake pops, they had bunny things.

(17:46):
They had um, carrot, blondie pop, they had a lemon blueberry
whoopi pie.
Just a wide variety of thingsthat come from the pastry chefs
there.
And you can purchase them now.
We were there so late in theevening, it was probably about
10:00 PM we, that was closed forthe day.
But it is open I think tillabout eight or nine.

(18:08):
And you can get a chance to takesome of that home with you,
which is really nice.
And again, that's the grandcottage and that will run all
the way through Easter Sunday aswell.
So those are some things thatyou can get a chance to take
some of that back with you.
That is only at the GrandFloridian.
You won't be able to havepurchase anything at the
contemporary cafe or Beach Club.

(18:28):
They don't have anything there.
So those are some that kind ofrounds out everything at Disney
in terms of what you can expectrelated to Easter.
The last one that we episode wedid, we talked about Flower and
Garden festival and all ofthat's going on at the same
time.
So it's a great springtimecelebration as well.
So hopefully you get a chance togo to Disney sometime in March

(18:53):
or April and experience some ofthese things.
Check it out because a lot ofthese snacks are gonna be more
than just Easter week.
The Easter egg displays, we werethere March 10th through 17th
and they were already up.
So depending on when you'regoing in, depending on when
Easter falls, check it out andsee if they're available for you
to view.
You will not be disappointed, that's for sure.

(19:15):
So we look forward to, we'regonna get up our interview with
Katie so you can hear about herbusiness and all of the great
products that she offers.
We'd like to welcome Katie tothe show.
Her shop, Goldilocks Mamafeatures all kinds of great hair
accessories.
She also does some of the beercanned glasses and we are really
looking forward to talking toher today.

(19:35):
She is a mom of three and she'sa former hairstylist who stays
home with her little ones.
And she's also a dog mom.
She enjoys sewing, which is ofcourse what letter to open up
her business.
She loves Disney and her husbandis also a Disney fan as well.
So they plan a lot of trips togo to Disney and we are really
looking forward to hearing abouther shop and all she enjoys at

(19:57):
the parks.
First we'd like to hear, what isyour favorite event at any
Disney Park?

Speaker 3 (20:03):
Yeah, actually there's so many good ones, but I
think my favorite and one thatwe've gotten to go to a few
times is the flower and gardenin Epcot.
But that's of course myhusband's favorite park.
Uh, who doesn't want to drinkaround the world,.
Uh, and they always have suchgood, you know, food and drink

(20:25):
specials during that festival.
And actually we were really sadcause we were just there and we
didn't realize we missed it bylike four days.
So, uh, we were a little bummedabout that.
But hopefully next year.

Speaker 1 (20:37):
Oh that is a bummer.
We're actually gonna be therenext week.
So, and that's my favorite parkas well and we love that
festival.
The music and the food and allof that is always great.

Speaker 3 (20:47):
Oh yes,

Speaker 1 (20:48):
Now of course we wanna hear all about your
business and what are theproducts you offer connected to
Disney?

Speaker 3 (20:55):
So I really started, um, I love any sort of hair
accessories and headbands.
Um, I started pretty young.
My grandma would always give meher old scarves and stuff and I
always use those as head wrapsand uh, headbands and stuff.
And when I stopped doing hairbehind the chair, I kind of

(21:16):
needed something, a creativeoutlet.
And so I kind of picked back upsewing and then was like, Hey,
you know what, why don't I juststart making head mans because I
love them and you know, hopefully that everyone else
does too.
Mm-hmm.
and in case youdidn't know, there's always a
ton of fabric options out there.

(21:36):
Um, and I love searching forcute ones that are, you know,
Disney related and inspired andI feel like that just kind of
helps you be able to bring yourlove of Disney into your daily
life.
Um, so I love it.
And of course my three-year-old,she loves to model and wear
everything that I make.

(21:57):
So

Speaker 1 (21:58):
, we have a five-year-old, so we totally
understand.
Now you make headbands and doyou also do like scrunchies and
things as well?

Speaker 3 (22:04):
Yes, I do.
Scrunchies headbands.
I've started adding some justsimple baby bows, um, things
like that, you know, whatever.
Um, any sort of, yeah, scrunchy, headband, bow accessory.

Speaker 2 (22:20):
And you had mentioned, you know, you had a
previous career as ahairstylist.
What led you to wanna do yournew venture?

Speaker 3 (22:28):
Well, I just, you know, um, my husband was
military before and so we'vemoved around a bunch and it was
just one of those things whererebuilding a hair clientele is,
you know, got to be a little bitof a struggle, you know, when
you're only there for a year ortwo.
Sure.
And so I, we kind of figuredthis is something I really enjoy
and I can do while staying homewith our kids most of the time,

(22:51):
as long as they're not climbingall over me.
Sure.
, um, really.
But uh, you know, kinda andstill, you know, lets me be
creative and still kind of havemy hands in, you know, some hair
stuff.

Speaker 1 (23:04):
Now how long have you had your business?

Speaker 3 (23:07):
I started it um, in, ooh, was it 20?
I believe it was 20.
20.
Okay.
So right around, you know, pandemic stuff, you know,
everyone's home trying to figureout what to do.

Speaker 1 (23:19):
.
Yes, yes.
We've talked to a lot of smallshops that started at the same
time.
Now we always like to find out.
How do you think your productscan add some Disney magic to
your customer's lives?

Speaker 3 (23:31):
You know, like I said, you know, I'm always
looking for, you know, funDisney inspired fabric.
Um, whether it's, you know, yourfavorite movie or character, I
have some character ones andthen I have some more, more like
just little subtle things that, you know, if you don't want to
wear, you know, all out, youknow, toy story headbands.
Right.
It's kind of, you know, inspiredby and I just feel like that,

(23:56):
you know, I know that alwaysbrings me a little happiness.
I'm like, I always say I like, Ilove, but I'm also like not
usually decked out in my, youknow, mini mouse headband and
everything all the time.
But it does make me happy to,you know, have a little, a
little something Disney relatedand inspired on.

Speaker 1 (24:14):
Now you also do those beer canned glasses as well.
Do you do Disney designs forthose?

Speaker 3 (24:19):
Yeah, I, that's something that I just started.
Um, so I, you know, I spend alot of time looking through and
trying to figure out, I'm notthe best artist and drawer
, so I usually have tofind some, you know, files and
stuff that I can use andsomething that kind of speaks to
me.
And I try to find ones that are,you know, little Disney related

(24:43):
and mostly holiday stuff, um, isreally kind of big and no like,
you know, drinking coffee andyou know, or whatever you're
drinking out of those cupsalways just makes it better

Speaker 1 (24:55):
for sure.
Yeah.
It's always nice to have a funcup or glass when you're
drinking something at home.
Now what is now, if I saw aheadband or something I wanted
for an upcoming trip or maybe Iwanted to get a glass as a gift,
how, what is your turnaroundtime?
How soon should I order?

Speaker 3 (25:12):
Um, so it really, I mean I think right now my
turnaround time, I usually tryto keep it about a week.
Sometimes it's a little faster, sometimes I try not to go over
that.
Um, sometimes it, you know, happens, but I will always
message you and you know, if youever have a special request and
need something faster, you canalways message me on my
Instagram or my Etsy.

(25:33):
Um, I try to stay really, youknow, focused and uh, you know,
caught up on that and respondingto people.
Um, so probably about a weekand, and you know, there's
always, if I, there's somethingyou don't see that I have and
you're, you have an idea, likeI'm always willing to work with
people and kind of createsomething that you're looking
for.

Speaker 1 (25:52):
Now I always have to ask anybody who does headbands
or Mickey ears or headbands, Ihave a really big head how well,
how comfortable do your fitChris' head?

Speaker 2 (26:03):
And I can attested it , it is a large

Speaker 1 (26:05):
Nog in there.
So like for people who havedifferent size or heads, how,
how comfortable are yourheadbands, et cetera.

Speaker 3 (26:12):
Yeah.
So, um, so I have a fewdifferent styles of headbands
and I always tell people, youknow, you can kind of pick and
choose what feels mostcomfortable.
I know a lot of people thinkkind of the stretchier fabric,
the ones that just go aroundyour head maybe aren't
necessarily the comf for you.
I do, but I do try to use a lotof those.
I use like a double brushed polymaterial, which is very soft and

(26:36):
very stretchy.
And so I found that those arecomfortable and they, I have a
pretty sensitive head and sothey never give me a headache
when I'm wearing them, which isnice.
Yeah.
and then also my harderheadbands, they're very, they're
um, flexible and so you can kindof stretch'em out.
Um, yeah, good.
And they fit majority ofeveryone's head.

(26:58):
Um, and so those I I've foundI've tried a million different
hard headbands trying to figureout what's the most comfortable
and I've settled on these andthey seem, it seems to, you
know, no one really has anycomplaints about them.
They seem to fit pretty well.
Now you can also, I mean, sorry,.
No, no, that's, but you canalso, so like the, you know,
average head, you know, usuallyabout like 21, you know, inches

(27:20):
or whatever.
If you need a little extra, alittle bigger, that's something
too.
You can always shoot me amessage and I can add a little
length.

Speaker 1 (27:28):
Now I know you also mentioned you do some
accessories for little ones.
Like do you have different sizesthan smaller ones in the
headbands as well?

Speaker 3 (27:37):
Yes.
So, um, I mostly have like atoddler size and the adult
headbands actually seem to fitmost kids six and up.
So really I have like a babysize, a toddler size and then
the adult size.
But I also have, yeah, a fewdifferent options and maybe some
that aren't quite listed on myEtsy shop yet.

(27:58):
I have some bows that I can puton those nylon bands for, you
know, baby babies and then justsome skinnier smaller headbands
for, you know, maybe like atoddler.

Speaker 1 (28:08):
Now do you have a favorite design in your shop
right now?

Speaker 3 (28:14):
Uh, there's one that I'm working on actually that I'm
hoping to add in the next week, actually.
Two they're checkered, one isDisney and it's pink checkered
with sun lull Mickey heads init, which I actually wore when
we were at the parks.
Oh good.
Which I thought was very cute.
, um, and very spring.
And then I also have, it's ablack checkered with some

(28:36):
flowers on.
It kind of reminds me of, youknow, a little sixties vibe.
Nice.
So I'm loving both of thosefabrics and hoping to get those
added this week.
So.

Speaker 2 (28:46):
And with that, you know, you mentioned all the
awesome things you do.
Where can people go to find outwhat you have to offer?

Speaker 3 (28:52):
Um, so I have my Etsy shop, which is Goldilocks mama.
Um, and then I also, I've beentrying to be better, you know,
Instagram and social media isalways a quite a feat, um,
trying to get back into that.
And so I really try to keep myInstagram updated and um,
showing what I have in the shopand you know, any sort of sales

(29:13):
or anything like that.
Um, and that's Goldilocks and Ithink there's a period Mama.

Speaker 1 (29:18):
Perfect.
And we'll make sure to sharethose links in our show notes so
people can find your shop andyour profile.
So thank you so much Katie forjoining us today.

Speaker 3 (29:28):

Speaker 2 (29:30):

Speaker 1 (29:33):
And now we are onto our two minute trivia and our
wisdom from Walt quote.
And Chris, you're up trivia

Speaker 2 (29:38):
Vanessa.
So many things Disney are aresult of tradition.
People go every year.
There's so many, you know, again, we just celebrated the 50th
anniversary.
I'm gonna ask you some questionsabout the Easter eggs at the
Grand Floridian.

Speaker 1 (29:52):
Okay, great.

Speaker 2 (29:53):
Approximately cuz I found a couple of different
answers on this.
Okay.
How many years have the Eastereggs been a presentation within
the Grand Floridian?

Speaker 1 (30:06):
I'm gonna go with 20,

Speaker 2 (30:09):
The plus or minus was five and you are correct.
So they have been a presentationfor over 25 years.

Speaker 1 (30:15):
Wow.
I was thinking probably earlytwo thousands.

Speaker 2 (30:19):
Yes.
And you know, they incorporateagain the, the older eggs that
were created in the past arebrought forward and in the
course there's new ones with newDisney properties.
But yes, 25 years of Easter eggsat the Grand Floridian.
Wow.

Speaker 1 (30:33):
I'd be curious how many years they've been doing
the gingerbread houses, cuz I'msure the gingerbread was before
the Easter eggs, that that'ssomething for you to file away
for Christmas time.

Speaker 2 (30:43):
I will do that

Speaker 1 (30:45):
.
Now I'm gonna end with thisquote from Walt Disney.
I think this is kind of a niceone.
I know so many people are atturning points in their careers

prioritizing what's important toyou.
Most of my life I have done whatI wanted to do.

hours.

your career or in your life aswell.
