Vanessa Ferguson (00:05):
Welcome to the
DisLove Podcast with Vanessa
and Kris.
I'm Vanessa Ferguson.
Kris Johns (00:08):
And I'm Kris Johns.
Vanessa Ferguson (00:10):
We would like
to welcome you to show number
139.
And for any listeners joiningus for the first time.
Our show features things welove at Disney and in each
episode we have a guest whocreates Disney magic for our
listeners at home or on theirDisney vacations.
From vacation planners toproduct producers, our guests
can bring Disney magic into yourlife and, as a reminder to our
(00:31):
listeners, we appreciate if youtake time to leave us a review
on Apple Podcast or any otherplatform where you listen.
That just helps us grow theshow.
And on today's show we aregoing to be joined by Alexa.
She and her husband, eric, arebaby quick, independent, quality
providers, and they are afamily that lives in Orlando,
(00:51):
right near Disney, and theirbusiness provides all kinds of
baby gear, from full size cribsand bassinets to strollers and
high chairs.
They have everything that youneed for your little ones to
make your trip a lot lessstressful.
Kris Johns (01:05):
And I think the most
important thing there is.
We actually were customers inour most recent trip and really
what I was impressed by was thequality of the equipment and
just how much they have to offer, because, again, disney does a
great job but they don't have afull array of all the equipment
and it's also one of thosethings where you might not want
your baby or young child insomething that everybody has
been in and so, exactly, I thinkthe great thing with baby quip
(01:26):
is that it's really high qualityequipment provided by great
people, and I think that's theother wonderful thing.
Vanessa Ferguson (01:32):
For sure.
So we are really excited to gether interview up for you and
for the first part of your show.
We're going to be reviewingopenings that are taking place
at the parks right now.
We just recently over the lastweekend went to Mickey's very
merry Christmas party and wealso attended the candlelight
processional at Epcot.
We unfortunately did not get toattend the Jollywood nights at
(01:54):
Hollywood Studios, but we'llbriefly touch on that.
We had some friends who went tothat this week as well.
So first off is Mickey's verymerry Christmas party, and this
is one thing that is a separateticketed event.
So the park closes at sixo'clock for day guests and then
you, if you are staying for theparty, you would purchase a
ticket ahead of time.
This year most of the nightssold out, so it's always
(02:17):
important to plan ahead whenthey do go on sale and you can
get in as early as four o'clock.
So it's kind of nice if you canplan it where it's not a park
day and you can just kind ofhang out at your resort, go to
Disney Springs and then you canhead over at four o'clock.
We unfortunately got caught inthe rain earlier in the day, so
we ran back to our resort and wejust kind of we've been before
(02:40):
and so we just kind of decidedwe waited out the rain, we got
dry, and then we went back alittle bit before nine so we
weren't there as long as youcould be, but we have been
before and we just decided wedidn't want to be wet all night.
Kris Johns (02:52):
No, but we still got
the full experience and I think
it's one of those pieces where, like most things at Disney, you
know when it's your first timeyou get the full experience.
You do the day beginning, theday end and I think a lot of
it's the same thing.
We got to see the parade, wehad the fireworks, the special
characters, so we got really alot of value, but it wasn't
really mission critical that wewere there the entire time.
Vanessa Ferguson (03:13):
Yes.
So to give you some highlights, there is a castle show called
Mickey's Most MariousCelebration.
In between then there's also aFrozen Holiday Surprise show.
So if you have any little onesor adults we I've watched the
Frozen one before that's great.
The Mickey's Once Upon aChristmas Time Parade that is
two different times.
I highly suggest going to thelater one.
(03:35):
We got there when the earlierone was finishing, but the later
one I just felt like it was somuch easier to watch the parade
if you wait till the later one, because some people who have
really young ones have alreadyleft by that point.
It's also good timing thefireworks only in one time.
It's called Minnie's WonderfulChristmas Time Fireworks and you
can then time it just right soyou can go to watch the parade a
(03:56):
little bit afterwards.
Some of the other holidayhighlights are they have we
didn't make it to this, and thisone's always fun reindeer
wranglers at Country BearJamboree, so that's kind of a
fun highlight.
There's a Disney Junior JingleJam and that's at Cosmic Rays.
We've taken our daughter tothat.
She got to dance with DocMcStuffins.
They had some of the charactersfrom Lion King, so that's fun.
(04:20):
Also nearby there's Club Tinselin Tomorrowland they have some
fun dancing and music as well.
The highlight is, of course, people love to be able to go on
the rides without any weightsand you really can walk on a lot
of the rides.
We highlighted our we focusedour time on doing the Christmas
stuff this time, but if yourfamily hasn't been to the park
(04:41):
during the day and you come inat that four o'clock, you can
really get on rides with verylittle weight, which is nice,
correct, and that's.
Kris Johns (04:47):
I think the other
wonderful thing about the ticket
is that, again, the Disneyexperience is just making sure
you get as much as you can, andwhat I like about it is that you
know, maybe, instead of doingthe daytime, because if you go
at maybe not even necessarilypeak capacity, you're going to
wait on a lot of rides.
But what's great about theChristmas party is that you're
going to have more opportunityto see more characters and then
(05:07):
you're going to have a chance todefinitely get on those rides
that you love.
Vanessa Ferguson (05:11):
Now, for
example, the Jungle Cruise is
made over to the Jingle Cruise.
It's called Jingle Cruise witha holiday twist, and we had been
at Magic Kingdom the day beforewe went to the party.
We had some individuals thatwere in our group that waited
over an hour to get on theJingle Cruise at the Christmas
party we had friends that walkedright on.
So that just gives you a senseof is everything a walk on?
(05:33):
No, you might wait some time, but it gives you a chance to
really cut down those wait timesand be able to enjoy those.
I think one of the highlightsof and they also have a virtual
queue for Tron.
We didn't do it that timebecause we had done it the day
before during we had entered thevirtual queue and wrote it the
night before, but that's alsoawesome, so you can hopefully
get a better chance of gettingon that ride as well.
(05:54):
The highlight, though, reallyis the characters, I would say,
besides the special fireworksand shows.
So we typically the charactersare in special outfits.
So we had a friend who, inFantasyland they waited and they
saw Winnie the Poo and friendsand they all had like winter
scarfs on.
We got to see our daughter lovesMary Poppins, and Mary Poppins
(06:15):
is up at front and it's not justMary Poppins, they to add
something special.
They had one of the penguinswith her.
And Mickey Mouse has a specialoutfit.
I know at the Halloween partyJack Skellington is a big thing.
For the Christmas party JackSkellington appears a sandy
claws.
Then they have a lot of theprincesses with the princes,
(06:36):
which is unusual.
So Ariel and Prince Eric, rapunzel and Flynn Rider,
cinderella and Prince Charming.
Even got Snow White in theprince Aurora and Prince Philip
Also, we were able to grantedshe's there during the day hours
, but Kris waited for ourdaughter to see Maribel in maybe
15 minutes, if that it wasn'teven not long mostly we're
(06:58):
waiting.
They were holding and not havingher come out because there was
still some smoke from thefireworks so we probably would
have saw her sooner.
In the past we've seen TweedleDee and Tweedle Dumb, alice in
the White Rabbit.
It's fun.
Kris has gotten Scrooge McDuckbefore.
I did yeah, not this trip, buton a previous Christmas party.
Yeah, I'll get those photos outto show him.
We'll post some of those photos.
(07:19):
And Santa is goofy.
They also have the seven dwarfsand we didn't do it this trip,
but my family and I we havegotten that.
And then it's fun.
The country bears are out.
You can see Santa, all kinds ofdifferent things.
So it's really worth it to seethe characters and those unusual
in those unusual outfits.
And I always say it's worth thecharacter dining or going to
(07:40):
these special events to see thecharacters.
You don't want to wait in linean hour to see the princesses if
you can wait and see themwithin a short period of time at
these events.
Now a couple other fun thingsabout this party.
Well, we'll talk about thefireworks here in a second.
But one of the highlights isthat you get special treats.
So they have special treatsthroughout the park and this
(08:01):
year they had cookies fromCheryl's cookies and at
different stations they haddifferent types of cookies.
They had hot cocoa at some ofthe stations, they had hot or
they had cider at some of thespots.
And the nice thing is thecookies are individually
packaged.
So if you don't want to eatthem all right now, we even
brought some home.
So that is really nice that youget a chance to enjoy that as
(08:23):
well.
And, Kris, it's nice becauseyou can get cookies that you
like and then, if you don't likeit, you can share it with
somebody else and they'll giveyou as many cookies as you want.
Yes, yes.
So that's a big highlight aswell.
So a couple other things thatare nice is that there's also
some overlays on some of theother rides as well.
So at At Space Mountain they dosome special music for the
(08:48):
party.
Then over at Monsters Inc LaughFloor, they have a holiday
themed one.
I did this two years ago and itis super cute.
I'm not one that goes toMonsters Inc very often, but
this was a lot of fun.
We enjoyed it quite a bit, andso it's nice to be able to add
in those new things and thingsthat you wouldn't experience
otherwise.
(09:08):
I will say that the Fireworksshow is really great.
I think the projections on thecastle and everything are
awesome.
It really highlights somethings that you don't get to see
otherwise.
Now the Christmas Parade.
So it's called Mickey's OnceUpon a Christmas Time Parade,
and this is only at the partyuntil December 22nd.
(09:30):
So after December 22nd, onceyou have like those peak holiday
times, they do this parade forthe day guests as well, and it's
perfect.
Like we just Kris and ourdaughter stood up, were near
the hub, they kind of stood onthe one thing and she was able
to see the parade, and they havesome nice floats.
Santa, of course, is at the endand it's just so fun.
I will say I don't know.
(09:51):
There's the.
We've done the Halloween partyand the Christmas party this
year.
What would you say is yourfavorite?
Kris Johns (09:58):
Christmas.
Vanessa Ferguson (09:59):
Yeah, I was
gonna say I would say the
Christmas one as well.
Now, of course, we live inMichigan so snow is not a big
deal, but there's snow on MainStreet.
There's just something magicalabout walking out at the end of
the night to have the snowcoming down and it really just
is a great experience.
So, our friends, we all got todo some of the special
characters.
I think just the it helps youslow down a little bit.
(10:20):
I know doing the dance partywith our daughter is just kind
of a nice break.
You could sit down.
We were enjoying some of ourcookies and stuff and the kids
can have fun.
And I think one of the nicethings is is that you can.
I feel like it's a little bitmore relaxed, you can enjoy the
experience a little more thanduring the day when there's so
many people in so many crowds.
(10:41):
They also have special fooditems throughout.
So what you'll want to do isyou'll get the guide and they
have special.
They had a special popcornbucket I got.
That was a Mickey Nutcracker.
They have special food itemslike at Cosmic Rays.
Over at Pagos Bill, they, ourfriends, were getting like they
had specialty desserts, lots offun things.
(11:03):
So I'll share some pictures ofthose as well.
I really think that theseparties are worth those extra
dollars.
It is expensive, and that's onething that sometimes people are
apprehensive about, but it'stotally worth it.
I will say they do offer adessert party at Tomorrowland
Terrace, and this is not worthit.
You're already spending $150,$175 to get in the park.
(11:25):
Don't take your time to do thedessert party.
Do the dessert party on anothernight.
We've done the dessert partyfor that, for the regular
fireworks, and it's worth it todo it then, but definitely don't
take some of your time out ofthe day, out of the party, to do
the dessert party.
A couple more things I thinkthat are nice is.
It's just a chance to reallyget some of those experiences
(11:46):
that you wouldn't have duringthe day, and if you're going at
the holidays, that's really thetime that you want to be able to
do that.
One of the things that you wantto keep in mind, too, is
spacious, your time out.
So, like we talked about, wewatched the second parade.
Another thing is our daughterlike Mary Poppins.
Mary Poppins is at the front ofthe park.
We went at nine o'clock to seeMary Poppins because people had
(12:09):
already saw her earlier in theevening.
We were second in line.
We didn't wait that long.
So those are some things you'regoing to want to be mindful
about.
We used a story hunt by NextPage from Meg and she had all of
the treats listed.
She had all of the differenthighlights, and then there were
some fun things to look up anddo during the party.
But being prepared withsomething like that I'll put the
(12:29):
link to where you can purchasesomething like that from her we
had her on a show a few backthose are some things that are
really worthwhile.
Again, it's what you value withyour time.
If you want to spend more timejust during the day doing
regular rides, or if you'rethere to experience some of the
holiday things, this is whereyou can really take advantage of
that.
Now, moving over to Epcot, youhave well, they have the
(12:51):
Festival of the Holidays, butthe event we're going to focus
on is the CandlelightProcessionnel, and this is on
select nights during startsright after Thanksgiving and
runs through Christmas, and thisis really it's kind of a neat
show.
It is where there's a liveorchestra with a chorus that has
a lot of people from differentlocal organizations Like we have
(13:13):
some friends that had familymembers and friends in it and
they have as well as, like localchoirs and things like that,
there's always a celebritynarrator and typically this
changes every two to three days.
Kris, who was our celebritynarrator, which we kind of
talked about this earlier.
Kris Johns (13:31):
The all time best,
John Stamos.
Vanessa Ferguson (13:33):
Yes, and if
you've listened to the show
before, I know you alluded thereis a history of John Stamos
agitating Vanessa Ferguson.
So this was nice, that we had agood experience of Vanessa
Ferguson, not just this VanessaFerguson, but another one from
our friends at Beyond the Mousepodcast as well.
So John Stamos, which was supercool.
(13:54):
So you have a couple ofdifferent things with this
Number one.
So how this works is the storyof Christmas is told by the
celebrity narrator and that atcertain segments, the narrator
stops and then the choirs singsvarious Christmas carols and
songs that we all know and loveand like.
For instance, this year we hadJohn Stamos, neil Patrick Harris
(14:15):
, you had Joy McIntyre, stephenCurtis, chapman all kinds of
different celebrities, which issuper cool.
And how this works is there arethree shows every evening and
you can go just included withyour Epcot ticket.
But what we did is we didguaranteed seating by purchasing
one of the Candeliteprocessional dining packages and
(14:37):
this gives you guaranteedseating.
I will say we got caught in atorrential downpour and even
though we arrived literallyminutes before the show started,
we had a seat, which is wellworth it.
Kris Johns (14:49):
Yes, we did it Now.
Granted, I was behind a treebut, I, was able to lean around
kind of like you see in acartoon and see most of the show
.
It was very wonderful.
Vanessa Ferguson (14:57):
And it was
well if we wouldn't have had the
ticket because of the rain wewould have.
There was a huge mass of peoplejust standing in the walkway
between the American GardensTheater and the American
Adventure Pavilion.
So you definitely.
I think it's worth it,especially if it's someone that
you know will be a little bitmore popular.
So the Candlelight ProcessionalTable Service Dining Package it
(15:19):
includes, like your meal, ifyou are.
We went to the breakfast inNorway with the princesses, so
that's kind of a that's sort offamily style.
Also, you got a non-alcoholicdrink and your option.
But if you do want to sit downplaces, you get an appetizer,
entree, dessert and anon-alcoholic drink and of
course it's not a specialty oneor a buffet.
(15:41):
But all of the differentparticipating restaurants
include the Royal Banquet Hall, which we did, the Beer Garden in
Germany, coral Reef GardenGrill, which we love, garden
Grill I mean, we love all theserestaurants Le Celier, and then
there's same day packagesavailable at Regal Eagle
Smokehouse.
I've not heard how much luckpeople have with this.
(16:02):
I'd be interested to hear fromsome of you.
Rosencrown Dining Room and thenSpice Road Table.
Spice Road Table is a littlebit different how they do it
because they have small plates,so if you go there, their setup
is a little different for whatyou get included in it.
So I think this show isphenomenal.
The singing is always great, the narrators are always great,
(16:24):
and this is Kris' first timegoing.
What did you think about theCandlelight Procession?
Kris Johns (16:27):
It was an excellent
experience.
Vanessa Ferguson (16:30):
And I think
it's one of those shows that if
it was, I know, if it was likenear us you would pay a decent
amount for a ticket to go see asimilar show, and it was about
45 minutes, so I think it's wellworth your time, like if it was
a holiday experience in and ofitself, aside from everything
else that's taking place at thepark.
Kris Johns (16:48):
Oh yes, I mean just
it would be a wonderful
experience just as a carve out Imean, if this were at the
Orlando Magic Arena.
It would be worth the valueJust alone.
Vanessa Ferguson (16:58):
For sure.
So that is kind of the bigspecial event that is at Epcot
for the holidays.
Now they also have things goingon throughout the day which
we're not touching too much on,that this show, but you have the
festival, the holidays, wherethere's different things going
on in each of the countries, like we saw the Santa character
that is in Norway.
They have a cookie stroll, which is fun.
(17:20):
You get a passport and you trydifferent cookies.
We didn't spend a lot of timeat the park that day because we
had reservations and then wewere going to the Christmas
party that night, so we only didone cookie out of the cookie
stroll, but it's fun.
There's also all lost holidaytraditions, expeditions, so lots
of holiday things happening atEpcot as well, which is super
great.
And I think we were very happywith paying for Mickey's very
(17:45):
merry Christmas party as well aspaying for the add-on for the
candlelight processional to havethe seating.
I have no regrets of payingthat extra money for either one
of those special events.
Kris Johns (17:56):
Oh no, it was just
worth every penny.
Vanessa Ferguson (18:00):
And the one
event that we didn't get to do
because we were on a trip forour friends vow renewal.
So we had some other events ondifferent nights.
One of the things that justdidn't coincide with our trip is
the Jollywood nights.
I'm sure you've probably readonline.
There's kind of been mixedreviews.
I know it's getting better.
We had some family that went toit during that timeframe while
we were down there, and then ourgood friends also went and they
(18:20):
enjoyed it.
So it's getting better.
I hope that we can go to thatin the next few years.
But that was only on 10 nightsthat ran from mid-November until
it's running until December20th.
So it's kind of a fun new event.
But we're not going to talkabout that because we didn't get
to go to it.
But definitely, if you'veexperienced it and checked it
out, please let us know.
And we're going to get up ourshow with our interview with
(18:42):
Alexa here in a second, butbefore we do, Kris, before we
close out our segment, sheshared with us a special offer
for our listeners.
Kris Johns (18:49):
She sure did Rent
one item and get an upgrade free
.
When you book through the linkin the show notes, only valid
with the Kevall family inOrlando, florida, you must
mention your chosen item in yourrental booking comments.
Free upgraded item worth up toa maximum of $10 per day.
Purchased items must total aminimum of $20 per day.
Examples include pay for astandard crib rental and get a
(19:11):
Newton mattress upgraded noextra charge.
Pay for a Mockingbird strollerrental and receive an upper
cooler at no additional charge.
That's awesome.
Vanessa Ferguson (19:21):
Yeah, and
we'll put that information in
our show notes as well.
So we're really looking forwardfor you to hear all about Alexa
and her husband's service.
They offer great thing.
We've used them now twice ontrips for our daughter, so I'm
sure you're going to really geta lot out of this.
We would like to welcome Alexato the show.
Her and her husband, eric, areindependent quality providers
(19:43):
with a company called Baby Quipand they can provide all kinds
of rentals for your little oneswhen you're on your Walt Disney
vacation, and we'll have herexplain a lot more about that,
but we would like to welcome herto the show.
Thank, you.
Alexa Cabal (19:56):
I'm excited to be
here.
Vanessa Ferguson (19:58):
Now we always
start off asking people a little
bit about what they enjoy whenthey're at Disney, and lately
we've been asking our guests whois your favorite character to
meet at the parks or anywherewith Disney.
Alexa Cabal (20:11):
Well, normally I
would say Pocahontas, because
she is my all-time favoriteDisney character, but I have a
two and a half year old now andhe is obsessed with Toy Story,
so I haven't been yet with himto meet Buzz Lightyear, but I
think he would go crazy if hemet Buzz, and that is on my list
(20:35):
to do in the next month withhim, because he really is just
obsessed with the stories.
Vanessa Ferguson (20:44):
I know it's so
much fun when you get to see
your kids see their charactersthat they've just loved on these
shows.
I know that's one of ourfavorite things with our
daughter too.
Alexa Cabal (20:53):
Yeah, it's just so
fun to see the magic in their
eyes.
My husband and I have beengoing to Disney World since we
were in college and I used towork for Disney, so we used to
go a lot as a couple, and now inthe last two years it's changed
the way we visited Disney witha baby and a toddler and it's
(21:16):
just a different kind of fun andmagic and it looks totally
different from when we used togo just us too, but in a good
way.
Vanessa Ferguson (21:25):
That is for
sure, and of course, we have you
on here because we want tolearn all about your business
and the services you offerconnected to Disney.
Alexa Cabal (21:35):
Yes, so we are
independent quality providers
through BabyQuest, and so thoseof you who aren't familiar with
BabyQuest think Airbnb, but forbaby and toddler gear rentals.
So there are locations all overthe globe with these quality
(21:57):
providers, so my husband and Iare those, and we rent out baby
gear in certain locations.
So my husband and I focus on theOrlando area and we provide
things like full-size cribs, rollers, high chairs,
bassinettes, think of it, and weprobably have it that you can
(22:21):
rent so you don't have to travelwith all of the things that you
need for making a vacationcomfortable with a baby and a
toddler, and it's just so muchto pack and to lug around in an
airport or even if you're doinga road trip, it's just so tricky
(22:42):
to pack all of those things.
So we make it easier by havingall of the products and
delivering it straight to you, picking it up for you and the
biggest thing as parents, welike our things super clean.
We're pretty germaphobic, andwhat we love about Baby Clip is
(23:04):
they already have very highstandards for cleaning and they
train us on how to clean thingsproperly, especially things that
are big safety concerns, likecar seat.
There are specific cleaninginstructions that we need to
follow.
So my husband and I do that andwe double and triple check.
So because we personally, if wewouldn't put our kit in it, we
(23:28):
wouldn't rent it out.
Vanessa Ferguson (23:30):
And I have to
add a note there.
We just recently used you for acar seat rental on our last
trip and I can attest we are notones that like to lug our
equipment with us.
So we've rented from the carrental companies in the past and
I am like you mentioned I don'tlike it when it's dirty.
I'm a germaphobe as well and Iwas so happy because it was so
(23:53):
clean.
It was spotless compared to theones that you get from the car
rental companies.
Sometimes they're clean,sometimes they're not.
It just was so nice, with thatpeace of mind, to know that
everything was great andspotless when we got it from you
.
Alexa Cabal (24:07):
Yeah, we offer this
consistency of you know you're
going to get quality and cleanproducts, and that is just
really important to us.
Kris Johns (24:19):
You know what led
you and Eric to start the
business.
Alexa Cabal (24:23):
I love that
question.
So I work full time in humanresources leadership at a
company and my husband is afirefighter and we well, first
of all, we talk about and have amillion baby products for
having a two and a half year old, so we feel very familiar with
(24:44):
it.
But we wanted to look upsomething that we could do
together and when we heard aboutBaby Quick, we thought, hey,
that's something we would useand we feel very comfortable in
that space and we have theperfect location.
We live 10 minutes from Disneyproperty, so we already love
(25:08):
going to Disney and other themeparks too.
We have annual passes to seeworld of foam and we just
thought this would be a reallyfun venture together, and we've
been doing this for less than ayear now and we love it.
So it's kind of fun to havesomething that we can do
(25:28):
together, and it's nice to do adelivery at Porter Lane's Resort
, for example, and then stop forbreakfast and have B&As as a
family before we go to our nineto five job, or I go to a nine
to five job.
We have the firefighting, butwe get to explore different
(25:53):
resorts as well and it just getsus up and out together as a
family and it's very familyfriendly, naturally, this
business.
So it's been great meetingdifferent customers as well and,
coming from a background whereI used to work for Disney, it's
really nice to be able toprovide that magic again in a
(26:14):
different way and a differentcapacity.
Vanessa Ferguson (26:17):
And that leads
right into our next question,
which is we always like to findout from our guests like how do
you think this service adds somemagic to your customers'
vacations?
Alexa Cabal (26:29):
Well, I can say, if
your kid doesn't sleep, it is a
problem on vacation and that iskind of a tricky thing when you
have a baby or a toddler andyou're traveling, because
they're not in their own space, they're not in their full-size
(26:49):
crib.
Maybe you bed share, maybe youdon't, but if you don't and
that's not something they'reused to, it's like well, do you
really want to get the hotelpack and play?
That is sometimes a littlequestionable.
And we have had our familiestell us how amazing having a
(27:12):
full-size crib or one of ournice staffs in that for their
kids, and how helpful it wasbecause they were able to sleep
through the night and they'rejust, they're comfortable in it,
and that is one really bigthing we provide.
The idea is that it's supposedto be a stress-free and a true
(27:32):
vacation.
I feel like there's a there's adifference between a vacation
and a trip.
Sure, and with a trip it can bevery overwhelming.
There's so much stuff to do andit's like you need a vacation
from that vacation and it canfeel very overwhelming with kids
.
So we try to provide thesethings that will ease that as
(27:54):
much as possible.
So sleep solutions, the strollerlike even having not having to
lug around a stroller in anairport some families don't like
to have one in the airport butneed one for the park, so
delivering stroller to them.
And our stroller comes witheverything we have the fans and
(28:15):
the organizer and the the raincovers, of course, so, and we
make sure that they'rethoroughly seen clean in between
uses.
And they are.
They look brand new.
So that is one thing that weoffer and, again, it's really
(28:36):
just to make your vacation asstress-free as possible and
tailoring to young children.
Kris Johns (28:45):
Now you mentioned
all these great products, are
there certain brands that youoffer to parents?
Alexa Cabal (28:50):
We do.
We're really particular with alot of our brands.
We like picking some of thefavorites.
So we have Newton, for example, for a lot of our sleep
solutions.
We have the opportunity toupgrade to a Newton mattress for
a full-size crib, and Newtonbassinet, newton pack and play,
(29:13):
and then we also have standardpack and plays that are, you
know, dream on the brand.
And for strollers, what we haveare we have a few different
brands, but some of ourfavorites are the side-by-side
double stroller, baby jogger, which has been great for a lot
of families, and then forfamilies with babies, we have
(29:36):
the mockingbird.
We love the mockingbird as atandem front-to-back stroller
and for the babies we have abassinet option.
So that's really great if youhave like two under two and
you're trying to go with yourfour-month-olds and your
two-year-olds Like well, myfour-month-olds doesn't really
(29:57):
belong in one of those regularseats for a stroller, but you
also don't want a baby wear thewhole time and that's a good
option for our family.
So we've got a lot of otherproducts, like we have a baby
Brezza for the water, instantwater warmers and pumping
(30:19):
packages.
So we've really got a widevariety of things and we're
constantly adding to ourinventory as well.
Vanessa Ferguson (30:27):
Well, and I
can say we, since we went to
Florida, we also had a trip toCalifornia and we didn't have a
company to rely on like what youoffer.
And so Kris was traveling forwork, so I sent the car seat
with him when he flew out threedays before, and then when my
daughter and I went to meet him,I was trying to lug through the
(30:47):
airport.
We do have one of those likefold down ones, but I was trying
to lug the stroller, ourdaughter and all of the stuff
through the airport, and itwould have been so much easier
if, where we were going, it waslike when we went to Orlando and
were able to run from you, because it is, it's a big
headache to do, it's a bigheadache to try to travel and
just get to your destinationwith all this other equipment
coming along.
Alexa Cabal (31:08):
Right, and, and
it's doable, you did it.
Vanessa Ferguson (31:11):
Right, but I
don't want to do it again.
Right, exactly, exactly.
Kris Johns (31:17):
Now, with that, you
mentioned all these awesome
things that you provide toparents to help them.
Where can they go online tolearn more?
Alexa Cabal (31:24):
Yeah, so we have
our specific site on Baby Clip
and we also have an Instagrampage where we are constantly
sharing some of the deliverieswe have.
We highlight certain packagesand we also like to highlight
some of our favorite brands andproducts that maybe have sales
(31:45):
going on.
So if you are even local toOrlando and you're pregnant and
you want to try out a strollerbefore you buy it, you can run
from us Right and test it out,and but most of our families are
traveling from abroad, so welike to highlight different
(32:05):
things on our Instagram page, but our Baby Clip page and we've
got a link tree website and ithas the links to all of those
different specific sites.
Vanessa Ferguson (32:19):
Well, I will
make sure to share all of those
in the show notes, and I willhave.
I do have to say I got a chanceto meet Alexa with the drop off
and Eric with the pickup, andthen they came right to the
airport for us, and so I knowthey're great, they're
trustworthy.
We had a great experience withthem too, and I'm sure all of
you will as well.
So thank you so much forjoining us today.
Alexa Cabal (32:40):
Thank you so much.
I really enjoyed it and I wereally do love helping the
family, so we're happy we wereable to A help you and beat you,
and B come on your show andtalk about how we can help even
more people.
Kris Johns (32:56):
Thank you again to
Alexa for joining us today and
remember, please check the shownotes so you can get that
exclusive upgrade on your nextBaby Clip rental.
Vanessa Ferguson (33:05):
All right, and
now we are on to our two minute
trivia and our wisdom from Waltquote and Kris, you are up with
trivia?
Kris Johns (33:11):
You know, we've been
doing this podcast for a number
of years, and so we've kind of,in my opinion, covered a lot of
Disney world and Christmasrelated trivia.
Vanessa Ferguson (33:19):
Okay.
Kris Johns (33:20):
So the superstar
that we mentioned was John
Stamos, so we're going to do alittle swerve.
Vanessa Ferguson (33:25):
Okay.
Kris Johns (33:26):
John.
And I know, vanessa, this mightbe a tough one, because I don't
know if you were much of a soapopera watcher.
Vanessa Ferguson (33:31):
I was not.
Kris Johns (33:33):
But John Stamos
first gained recognition as
Blackie Parrish on the ABCtelevision soap opera blank, for
which he was nominated for adaytime Emmy award for his
outstanding supporting actor ina drama series.
So what soap opera was JohnStamos first on when he broke
(33:56):
into Hollywood?
Vanessa Ferguson (33:57):
I vaguely
remember somebody mentioning it,
and the only one that I canthink of the name of is General
Hospital.
Kris Johns (34:04):
You are correct.
Vanessa Ferguson (34:05):
Wow, and I
don't think I've ever watched an
episode of General Hospital.
But wow, very interesting.
You got awesome.
You don't know, I don't alwaysget those right, so I'm glad All
right.
So let's wrap up the show withour quote from Walt Disney and,
just thinking about the holidaysand all the magic that happens
(34:25):
at the parks, I thought this wasa good one.
I know we've used it in thepast, but laughter is timeless,
imagination has no age anddreams are forever, and we wish
all of you a great holidayseason.
Hopefully you can get a littlebit of that magic at home, even
if you don't have a chance tomake it to the parks.
I'm really looking forward tosharing some of the pictures
from these different events.
We had a great time and I hopeyou all have a joyous holiday
(34:48):
season as well.
So thank you so much forjoining us on this episode of
the DisLove Podcast with Vanessaand Kris.
I'm Vanessa.
Kris Johns (34:56):
