Thank you.
I'm thrilled to be here.
This is such an honor, and I'mso excited to be a part of this
community, and I'm excited tospend some time together.
Speaker 2 (01:19):
I'm excited, you know
, you and I have been able to
talk prior to our show.
We had the opportunity just tomeet and greet and I really was
inspired by you and I was soexcited about today's program
because of that.
And so, jenny, would you mindkind of introducing yourself to
our listeners today?
Speaker 3 (01:38):
Not at all.
So my name is Jenny Powers.
I currently live in New York.
Speaker 1 (01:41):
City.
Speaker 3 (01:43):
I'm originally from a
really small town in
Massachusetts.
I am the founder of a companycalled the Empowered Woman.
I'm an author and a speaker anda transformational life coach.
I wrote a book called Empoweredthe Woman's Guide to Following
your Heart, and I am on amission to transform this world
by awakening every woman to herbest self.
So I am incredibly passionate.
(02:04):
You know, Candice, I know weconnected immediately when we
met.
We have a very similar missionand a lot of similarities in
terms of, you know, our passionand our desire to help women, to
inspire women, to empower women.
So that's kind of my globalmission.
I have a boyfriend.
I have two little boys, and I amjust a woman who is 100%
(02:26):
committed to living the bestlife that I can live and to
connecting women worldwide andinspiring all of us to live our
best lives.
So that's kind of the quicksnapshot of me, my purpose and
kind of what I'm here to do.
Speaker 2 (02:41):
I love it, you are
and for all of our listeners.
Jenny is absolutely amazing.
I was blown away when we hadthe opportunity to connect and
it is it's that instantconnection that you and I had
and it was.
It was awesome, like I honestlythought this is my soul sister
and like here we go, let's rockit.
Um, you have an amazing programthe empowered woman and you had
(03:02):
mentioned that.
I love that.
I want to talk more about thatbecause you've got a thing
called the 100 Days of you.
Can you share a little bitabout that?
Speaker 3 (03:10):
Sure.
So yeah, I have atransformational program called
100 Days of you, which isbasically a three-month program,
100 days.
So in my book I write about mybook is 100 Guiding Truths.
Each page is a standalone pageof kind of guiding truths that I
feel like I'm 45.
I feel like I wrote it a fewyears ago.
(03:31):
But these are things that I'velearned along the way as I
followed my own heart, and Ikind of wanted to put them in a
book to share, to kind of helpwomen everywhere.
You know, hey, if I've fallendown 11 times and I can help you
to fall down fewer times, thatyou'll learn or to thrive or to
grow.
I wanted to kind of share fromthat place.
So a hundred days of you sort ofcame from that book.
I then created something calledthe empowered woman experience,
(03:52):
which is a copy of my book.
I created a companion workbook,a journal, inspirational quote
cards, pens, the whole thing.
And then from there, as COVIDhit and life became more digital
, I decided to pivot, which Ithink is the word of COVID
pivoting and created thisdigital online course, which is
basically 100 days of you.
(04:15):
It is me as your one-on-one lifecoach.
We have a kickoff kind ofgrounding call where we get
clear on what do you?
want and in a very kind of realtime.
I think I created a programwhich, in a timeline that I
think has suited me.
I think sometimes programs thatare a year or six months, the
goals can feel kind, feel reallyfar away.
(04:35):
I wanted to create somethingthat would be inspiring for
women to think, hey, in threemonths I can have this thing.
We get clear on what you want.
We have an hour-long coachingcall each week.
Between each coaching call, every day, there's a reflective
from my workbook.
There's a reflective workbookpage, um, and so I take each of
(04:57):
my guiding truths for example.
One is indoor rejection, and sothe workbook page would walk
you through.
You know there are times inyour life where you feel like
you've been rejected.
You know what are the firstthree moments that come into
your mind.
So it's, it's written from alot of love, you know, with a
lot of support, really trying tokind of get into your
subconscious, not overthinking, not kind of stressing about the
(05:18):
answers, just kind of you knowwhat comes up and then you know
how can we work through that.
So you know, do you, do you feellike you carry this thought of
rejection with you and then kindof every page ends with a very
empowering like what are threesteps you can take to kind of
move past these moments andredefine that rejection is not
an option.
You know, every door that'sclosed mean that there means
that there's, you know, 10others that will open to you.
(05:40):
So that's one example of onetruth.
There are hundreds of thosekind of lessons and so in
between each coaching call, youknow you, you have this 10 to 15
minute uh workbook page thatyou do on your own each day, and
then we come back on our calleach week and kind of the course
is structured where every weekhas a theme, kind of going after
(06:00):
you want, you know, owning yourpower, creating your mindset,
facing challenges and failures, and it's all kind of written.
You know to tackle each theme.
And then you know each call isjust you know, let's work
through this, let's go, and I'mvery much committed to you know
unlocking women's fears,unlocking their dreams,
unlocking their desires, andthen you know taking them from
(06:22):
what they think they want, whatthey know they want, to having
what they want.
Speaker 2 (06:27):
I love that and I
love that you said it's 100 days
.
I want to ask you because a lotof our listeners are probably
wondering okay, why you?
Why did you put this together?
Speaker 3 (06:40):
Why was it important
to do this?
Yeah, I think you know I feellike this destiny quite honestly
chose me.
Oh gosh, it was probably 10years ago now.
I used to live in Los Angeles.
I was an actress.
I woke up in the middle of thenight and I thought the
empowered woman like that's agreat name for a company.
My last name is powers.
My middle initial is m and Ikind of thought the m tower
(07:01):
powered woman.
That kind of makes sense for me, and I was not an entrepreneur.
I was very committed at thatpoint to being an actress that
was my dream um but I kind ofthought, it kind of stuck in the
back of my mind.
I went to look at the domainname it was unavailable.
The next day I got a noticesaying the empowered woman was
available to buy, and I kind ofpurchased it with no real plan.
So that was kind of theinspiration and from that I
(07:21):
think, you know, I really dolove helping women, like I love,
you know, just in my day to daylife, inspiring my friends,
being a founding board for them, and I really, you know, I think
a lot of it comes from.
I grew up kind of feeling veryisolated.
I always felt like I was thegirl that was left out.
I was, you know, never a partof the clique.
So I was, you know, girls weremean to me, like you know, not
(07:42):
complaining, just owning that.
I think I felt very isolatedand very left out as a child,
you know, by girls and then youknow, sometimes by women, that I
think I then, to heal in way, wanted to create something that
had the opposite effect on women, that made women feel included
and connected and a part ofsomething bigger than just them
(08:02):
and their life, and a communityto connect and kind of feel
supported and seen.
Speaker 2 (08:09):
I like that.
I think it's really importantbecause it's a journey that a
lot of us have gone through.
It doesn't matter where you arein the world.
We've all kind of gone throughsomething that leads us to
needing guidance.
I honestly believe that and Iwant to ask you you've mentioned
(08:31):
that you've got this journal, you've got the workbook For any
of our listeners is thissomething that anybody in the
world can be a part of?
Because obviously, you knowwe're in the digital era now and
we do a lot of stuff by.
Zoom, so can anybody in theworld join you.
Speaker 3 (08:43):
Anybody in the world
can join me.
Um, yeah, uh, it's.
If you go to my website, whichis Jenny powerscom, um, there's
information on a hundred days ofview.
There's all the you.
You know a little bit more, afew more specifics, if you my
Instagram is at Jenny Empoweredthe link is in my bio there and
it gives you kind of you knowpretty much what I've shared, a
(09:04):
little more detail and, yeah, Ijust think that I wanted
something that was universal.
And you know, I think peopleask me all the time coaches,
other entrepreneurs, you knowwhat.
I think we're all sort of askedwhat's your niche, what's your
avatar, who's your ideal woman?
And for me.
You know, I think the challengefor me is that I still haven't
been able to kind of narrowexcuse me, narrow down age
(09:36):
bracket.
It's this demographic.
For me.
That's never been kind of thewoman that I am excited to work
with.
For me, it's a woman who wantsto make a change.
It's a woman who is in a placein her life feeling stuck,
feeling unsure, feeling trapped, feeling stagnant, feeling like
there's more out there for her.
And so that could be, you know,a 25 year old, that could be an
85 year old, but it's a womanwho, you know, is kind of ready
to say yes to herself.
And so I think, that, that youknow breaks all boundaries in
(09:58):
terms of age, demographic, whereyou live, what you do, who you
are.
I love it.
Speaker 2 (10:03):
I absolutely love
everything that you're trying to
do with everybody out there.
I know that you do thisone-on-one, but do you have like
group courses or do you findthat it's better to do a
one-on-one.
Speaker 3 (10:13):
It's a great question
.
So I originally thought that Iwas going to launch I originally
launched a group program andthat was kind of the idea of it.
As I said, I'm very big oncommunity and connecting, and
the other part that I found inmy own personal growth is that I
think accountability which cansometimes sound like a very
negative word, but this, youknow being seen mess I think
(10:37):
that in my life thataccountability and someone
checking in and someone you knowhaving a connection with
someone, has been a catalyst formy own growth, and so I wanted
to create something within thatcommunity where you know you
kind of have someone.
Hey, I did the workbook page.
I did the workbook page likehow are you doing, how are you
checking?
You know, it's kind of it's funto do it with other people.
Having said that, what I foundin doing that, that that was
(10:58):
successful.
But I found that you know thiswork is it's pretty deep, it's
pretty vulnerable, it's prettyopen.
I think I do, I've done thecourse, I continue to do the
course, I continue to do my ownworkbook because I find that
it's very transformational and Ihave found that a lot of the
stuff that comes up is kind ofstuff we don't necessarily know.
As I mentioned, things in oursubconscious fears we're holding
(11:20):
, and I found that the you knowat least when I start working
with women that initial kind ofone-on-one, the safety that is
created within that.
I think it's been very powerful.
I think women feel safe, theyfeel like it's just you know,
this space for them and they'reable to share you know kind of
unconditionally, without havingto filter, and so the way.
(11:41):
I kind of see it now.
As I look at it.
You know, covid's hopefully atleast becoming less of an issue.
You know, kind of in terms ofthe group idea, my goal now is
to sort of pivot back to eventsand to have that be kind of my
group thing kind of doing anhour and weekend, you know.
I know we talked aboutpotentially collaborating, you
know, on an event be it digitalkind of or in person, but I
(12:04):
think that's kind of the veinthat I now see.
You know how I want to kind ofempower and help and serve into
kind of a collaborative way tobring women together.
Hopefully you know in person, but you know certainly as a
digital option, having more ofan event-based thing rather than
making kind of 100 days of youa group program.
Speaker 2 (12:24):
You know what and I'm
game for being a part of that
because I and I feel the sameway I really want to go to an
event I miss that.
I miss being able to interactwith others one-on-one and
communicating, and just to beable to listen to a bunch of
women talk about this would be,oh, I would love to go to an
island and just do this, and allthese women together, and it's
(12:45):
like we're a week together andthis is it, and just build um,
yeah, build that up within usagain, because I think that a
lot of us have lost it.
You know, the last two yearshave really taken a toll on so
many individuals and I think wejust need to get that energy and
those vibrations on thatconnection, the sisterhood,
everything back together again Iagree, and that's exactly the
(13:07):
word I was going to use, whichis energy, and I think that even
for me in my life, you know,Zoom has been a great option and
having the ability to connectwhen the world was shut down
certainly was a gift.
Speaker 3 (13:18):
But I think that now
that the world has opened up a
bit more, I thrive on in-person,whether even if it's just
meeting girlfriends for a drinkor, you know, being around my
kids, like I.
Definitely that kind of theenergy you get from another
human being just can't be sortof transmitted in the same way,
you know, through a computer.
And I think that, you know, when I was younger, when I was
in my 30s, I hadn't, you know, Iwasn't really raised with kind
(13:39):
of an awareness of personaldevelopment, personal growth,
things like that, and I kind offound myself, you know, seeking
out those communities and peoplethat were doing.
I don't think I thought at thetime I would go on to be one of
those people, but I think I wastrying to heal and I was trying
to understand myself and Iattended a lot of those events
(13:59):
kind of, you know, a three dayevent in Miami, a three day
event in Las Vegas, a four dayevent here, and and I found that
so much transformation happensin almost a vortex because, you
kind of go into this hotel, yougo into this event space and
you're there, You're formingconnections.
And it's intense right, You'rein it all day, kind of every day
, and I just think like there'sa very brilliant thing that
(14:21):
happens.
It's almost like you leave whoyou are like at the front door
when you walk into this.
You know, event and then you'rekind of you're in new teachings
and new energy and a newversion of yourself, and I found
for myself and women that Ikind of experienced this with.
We left different people and Ithink that though an hour zoom
call is great, I think, goinginto this kind of environment in
(14:43):
kind of a compressed and wayand exactly to your point, you
get a variety of you know in dayone you might have.
You're a speaker, I'm a speaker, I have a friend you know who
does money mindset stuff, afriend who does EFT and tapping,
a friend who's a stylist and Ijust envision this you know,
very well-rounded kind ofmultifaceted experience for
(15:04):
women to kind of awakendifferent parts of themselves
and kind of all unify us.
Speaker 2 (15:09):
I think that you
would inspire so many
individuals just to come to thisevent just by you know talking,
because that's what you want todo is you want to empower
people and others really want tobe empowered.
I want to ask you, jenny, whatkind of advice can you give some
of our listeners that are justkind of lost, right?
Speaker 3 (15:25):
now.
Wow, what a great question Forme.
The first thing that came to mymind is to follow your heart.
And I think that you know it'san interesting niche because
people say what are you anexpert at?
And I say I'm an expert atleading women back to their
heart, back to their intuition, back to their own inner guidance
.
I think that you know, in COVIDwe've all had a lot of time to
(15:46):
reflect.
You know, a lot of things inthe outside world were stripped
away from us, kind of going out, traveling, getting together.
We were all kind of, you know,in our homes, in our minds, in
our own experience, kind ofstripped away with a lot of day
to day comforts.
And I think we've all reflecteda lot kind of on who are we?
Are we happy, what do we want.
And so my advice would be tokind of listen to that inner
(16:09):
guidance.
And that's why I'm notpromoting my course, but I do my
book.
I really believe in it, I reallybelieve in the tools that I've
created to help women, for us totrust ourselves again, and I
think that we know what we want,we know what we need and we
know what kind of needs to getdone to take those steps forward
(16:31):
.
And I think that in my life Ialways want to give, whether
it's the people that are closestto me, or women that I meet,
you know, one-on-one clients oreven people in a group setting.
Like I really want to givewomen the permission to dream
again, to really say, like thisis your one life, and like there
are no boundaries, there are nolimits, like what do you want?
(16:53):
And I think we all have a veryclear understanding of what that
is.
And I think the older we get,the more we're told to grow up
and act like an adult.
We have responsibilities and wehave, you know, things that
quote unquote need to get done.
And I think, for me, you know, reconnecting to your own heart,
to ask yourself in like a quietmoment, like is this what I
really want?
Like what do I need?
Like what am I missing?
Like what do I want?
(17:19):
And I think that you know, thething I love about my book is it
is, you know, every page is thestandalone page.
You can open it, read one pageand be inspired for your day.
So it's things like cherishyour body, enjoy your curves,
make today that day, like do theone thing that scares you, and
so it's really kind of it'swritten from a perspective of I
believe in you, I see you and Ithink there's there's so much
(17:39):
inside of you and I think thatyou know, going back to
ourselves and trusting our owninstincts would be, you know,
kind of my biggest piece ofadvice.
Speaker 2 (17:47):
What is going to be
happening next with you Like do
you have something?
Speaker 3 (17:55):
anything you want to
share with us.
So I'm actually in a very kindof creation mode right now.
As I mentioned, I kind of aminspired by this idea that
events can come back to life.
I'm very much in the beginningstages of that.
I'm kind of trying to figureout what I envision this event
to be.
Do I want to create a digitalevent, which obviously is a bit
easier to put together?
Do I kind of want to hold offon that and put together, you
know, an Empowered you orEmpowered Woman, you know, kind
(18:17):
of weekend conference, and soI'm very much in a quite a
reflective place.
I mean, as I mentioned, I haveall these resources right.
My book, my journal, myworkbook are all available on
Amazon.
So you know, that's one quickway to kind of learn more about
me or kind of get a glimpse intomy content and kind of what I
(18:38):
stand for and maybe be inspired.
You know it's my book.
People love to throw it intheir bag every day and take it
out and open it up to a randompage and so it's kind of it
really is a guidebook, that kindof you know goes with you.
My 100 Days of you is runningthat kind of one-on-one coaching
.
So there's that going on.
And then I think for me youknow it's even meeting you was
(19:00):
such a gift because you, youknow, as we talked about,
hopefully we'll be able tocollaborate on a lot of things.
But you know, we really talkedabout like, okay, what is next,
what do I want?
And I feel, like you know, Ireally want a bigger impact, I
really want to have a biggerfootprint, I want to reach more
women, I want to expandaudiences, I want to connect us
all together.
So I'm trying to kind of readmy own book and say, jenny, like
(19:23):
, if you know, if there were nolimits, then you know what would
you create.
And I think I'm really tryingto up-level that.
So it's not a great answer.
Speaker 2 (19:29):
I don't have a lot of
specifics, but I think it's a
really exciting time where youknow, over the next few months,
some really exciting things aregoing to come from, kind of you
know I have all of the parts I'mjust figuring out kind of the
best way to put it all togetherto help the most women women,
and we're going to support youin any way that we can, and I am
actually looking forward todoing a lot of collaborations
with you this year.
(19:49):
I just think that there's somany things that we can do.
So, thank you so much, Jenny, for being on my program today.
I hope that you come back soon.
Speaker 3 (19:57):
I would love to, I'd
be honored.
Thanks for having me.
This is that.
This has been great and I'mexcited to continue to meet the
women in your audience and tosee you know what magic we can
create together.
Speaker 2 (20:07):
Me too.
Thank you so much.
Speaker 3 (20:09):
And to all of our
listeners.
Speaker 2 (20:10):
Just to let you know,

Jenny's information about herbook, about her website, just so
that you guys can get a hold ofher.

It's absolutely amazing.
It is available on Amazon andfor all of our listeners.
