here in the last little while, but I'm excited just to have you
back.
Tanya, before we kind of diveinto today's program, would you
introduce yourself to our newlisteners?

Speaker 3 (02:16):
Absolutely so.
Hey to the Divas at Care family.
My name is Tanya Tanya J Millerof Tanya J Miller LLC and,
talking with Tanya, I'm anauthor, coach, speaker,
strategist.
I help people and organizationsfigure out how to fit the
puzzle pieces of life togetherso that they can do them right

(02:39):
and well.
And when they do that, I'mhelping them to be able to do
life and leadershipunapologetically you know, on
their terms, according to theirpurpose.

Speaker 2 (02:49):
Well, I love it and you've done some pretty amazing
things out there and you knowit's always great to follow you
and to see how you've been doing.
And so, tanya, what is new inthe last couple of years?
Because we really haven'ttalked to you.

Speaker 3 (03:05):
And we'd love to.

Speaker 2 (03:06):
Yeah, hear more about it.

Speaker 3 (03:08):
Yeah, you know.
So I definitely don't mindsharing.
You know why I've been away.
I've been drastically sick.
Unfortunately, I was diagnosedwith chronic Lyme disease.
I was diagnosed with chronicLyme disease a couple of what
they call co-infections, meaningwhen I got bit by the infected

(03:33):
insect may have been a tick, mayhave been a spider or kind of
thinking it was a spider, butwhen I got bit I was infected
with two other diseases that thespider was carrying In addition
to that when it was in mysystem, basically it attacked me
, everything in my blood, andjust decided to say hey, we're

(03:57):
taking a camp, we're buryingfurther and further in your body
.
We're not going anywhere, no.
So when you said it's not goinganywhere, it just started
wreaking havoc in my entire body, my brain, everything and so it
gave me what they call facetrees and lime leaves, and for

(04:21):
me, I have zero limes as well.
So it's been a journey, youknow.
just trying to figure out, honestly not figure out, trying
to keep my fight and my will, you know, to live, because, you
know, at some points and times, with different things, it was
literally almost like touchingthose was really bad and the

(04:45):
disease, unfortunately, you'rein pain 24-7.
And so that's another thing too.
To like wait, hold on, like whyam I in pain?
Oh yeah, that's part of thedisease.
So it's a disease where itliterally affects everybody
differently.
It just whatever you know, it'skind of like.

(05:08):
However, what you know, yourblood responds to it.
That's what happens to you.
But, we've been fighting.
We've been in treatment sinceabout almost two years now since
about November 2020, and nowwe're introducing some

(05:28):
alternative treatments that wedidn't try at first.
But you know, I'm just choosingto live.
I think that was the firstthing you know.

Speaker 1 (05:37):
I answered when you said how am.

Speaker 3 (05:38):
I doing and that's kind of my mantra, you know,
personally, for 2022.
And you know why I even calledit, you know 22.
It's mine if I want it, andthat's kind of the same thing
for everybody.
Mine if you.

(05:58):
It's mine if I want it, andthat's kind of the same thing
for everybody.
If you want it like you need tofight for what's yours because
you don't need to let anythingor anybody take what's your
worth or what's wrong with you.
So I'm fighting.

Speaker 2 (06:08):
I love your spirit and I'm glad to be back oh, girl
, I am so happy to have you backand happy to hear from you and
you know I have definitely beenpraying for you and I know that
this is going to be an amazingyear for you and you are doing
so many things for others whilegoing through this, and one of
the things that you're doing isthe Me Project.

(06:30):
Tell us a little bit about that, because you know, guys, if you
haven't had the chance to talkto or listen to Tanya at all,
you're going to want to, becauseshe is so empowering and
motivating.

Speaker 3 (06:45):
And, yes, let's talk about this new project of yours.
You, by the way, like I'm like,oh, is that me she's talking
about?
But seriously, the Me Project, you know, I tell people 2020, 21
, and even kind of 22,.
We're now just trying to figureout, like we were talking about
before, like okay, I guess wecan do.

(07:05):
You know life again.
But what is life Like?
What is our normal?
Because it's not the same.
It feels different, like so howdo I even come out, like, how
do I figure out my life now?
Because I'm afraid, or I'mscared, I lost things or, you
know, I don't have people that Ihad anymore, you know, or I

(07:30):
don't have the job, you know.
And so the Me Project itliterally the crazy thing.
Candice, is kind of like MindMatters.
I wrote this a while ago but Ijust, for some reason, things
kept happening and I couldn'tget it published.
But it's happening now and I waslike oh so this is the reason

(07:53):
why I couldn't, you know, get itout before, because it's
talking to people that areliterally at those places I just
spoke to to remind them of whothey are, to remind them of
what's in them, and that theyhave something called motivated
effort.

(08:13):
Like it's in you, it doesn'tcome from anybody else.
Nobody else can get you out ofyour house, nobody else can get
you unafraid, you know, toexperience life again, go
outside your bubble, you knownobody else can do that for you
Nobody else can get you throughyour pain of losing loved ones

(08:34):
during this time.
Nobody can do that, only you.
And that's what we're talkingabout in Motivated Effort, that
it all starts with you, and sowe hope it's going to be a great
project that people just grabhold to and realize that it was
what they needed to be able totake that next step, because

(08:56):
that's what we're believing forthat people are able to take
that next step, because that'swhat we're believing for is that
people are going to take thatnext step in life, and you know
my thing and they can do itunapologetically, on purpose.
So, hey, I'm ready for you todo it, but I just want you to
get to that next step first.
So that's what we talked aboutin the D Project Coming out late
spring definitely you know, hope people connect.

(09:19):
stay connected, because we'llyou know we're thinking about
doing something new.
Pre-launch teams, you know kindof teams that may get the book
early and, you know, help withsome of the promotions, so they
could have some new stuff to dofor this particular project.

Speaker 2 (09:42):
Well, I love that.
I love that this new book isgoing to be coming out and I'm
excited because I can't wait toread it and I can't wait to help
support you with it, because Ithink it's really important,
because we do.
We need exactly what you'resaying.
It has been a rough couple ofyears for a lot of people and a
lot of different scenarios, likeyou were saying, and we just
need to see the light at the endof the tunnel.

(10:03):
And when we hear motivationalpeople like yourself that are
really talking that way andsharing that with us and
teaching us how to, you know, get through that and push
ourselves through it, I thinkit's really important.

Speaker 3 (10:17):
Absolutely, I do as well.
You know, kind of like what youhave as one of your favorite
things.
You know nothing is impossible.
You know you're possible and sothat kind of same frame of mind
hey, you're possible to figureout this new life, it's all

(10:39):
possible because you're here.
So I definitely concur and I amthankful for your support
always.

Speaker 2 (10:51):
Oh, my goodness, girl , you okay.
So you've got this project thatyou're doing and you're still
working and you're treatingyourself.
So are you able to?
You know, obviously you'retaking a lot more time to go
through the healing process.
Are there ways that you knoweven our listeners right now?

(11:12):
Is there ways that we canconnect with you and we can work
with you, support you in yourprojects, anything like that?
You said with the project orkind of with my everyday life
and Lyme disease you knoweverything we would love to
connect with you and collaborate.

Speaker 3 (11:34):
Absolutely so.
If you don't mind, one thingyou can do for me is that you
can take care, and what I meanby that is Lyme disease is a
rapidly growing epidemic acrossthe country.
Many scientists are beginningto see that epidemic across the

(11:58):
country.
Many scientists are beginningto see that Just in 2021, the
statistics said that it wentfrom 200,000 people a year,
getting it meaning new people, and it jumped the next year to
476,000.
So it's a rapidly growingdisease because people.
So it's a rapidly growingdisease because people you know,

(12:19):
if you think about it, thewoods are being taken, you know,
as new homes and new buildings, and so animals are moving, and
you know animals carry ticks, and so you know they're kind of
everywhere that we weren'tthinking.
And so my heart is that you takecare, and what I mean by that
is be mindful when you gooutside, you know, wear

(12:43):
protective clothing.
You know, especially if you'regoing to any type of country,
you're going to walk through afield or through any type of
wooded area.
Take care, wear long sleeves ifpossible, wear long pants.
And then also do the next thingfor me protect yourself.

(13:08):
What I mean by that is there'sinsect repellent called DEEP
D-E-E-P and yeah, my dad is,there's insect repellent called
DEEP and yeah, you're likeyou're going overboard.
No, these are the minimalthings that you can at least try
to do to at least protect you,and so have some deep.

(13:29):
And then the third thing foryou is to then look when you
come back from outsideespecially those kids even you
know your pets.
When you come out from outside, check your bodies.
You're like 10, you really Likewhat?
Yeah, when you've been hiking oron a trail, make sure or your

(13:52):
kids, you know you got to gointo the country or something,
hiking or on a trail, make sure.
Or your kids, you know you gotto go into the country or
something.
Protect yourselves because, younever know, maybe a tick or
multiple birds throughout yourbody.
And I just want you to you knowto do those things.
Protect yourself, you know,take care.
And then, lastly, you know, look after yourself, look around

(14:19):
your body and things to makesure you're straight.
And if you do that, I'mgrateful.
That's one of the many things Iwant you to do for yourself and
for your family, especiallythose kiddos.
And if you see something, go tothe hospital and immediately
ask for a course of what'scalled doxycycline, because

(14:43):
there's a small window that thisdisease goes from curable to
uncurable.
And if you can try to get themedicine you need within that
small window, you have a chanceof being cured and not having to
go through some of the thingsthat I go through, some of the
things that other people, infact they go through Because,

(15:06):
like I said, it hits everybodydifferently.
So do that for me.
You guys Go to the hospitaldifferently.
So do that for me.
You guys go to the hospital, get them to take the tick off
and ask for a course with DrCycling.
One more thing, I know becauseyou're like saying you go on the
overboard your answer.
You know I am, you know, asking.

(15:28):
I did kind of a fundraisercalled the no Lime, please
Message Tee.
So I created a message, tee, that when you buy it for $25,
that's directly going to thetreatments that I have and
doctor appointments.

(15:49):
None of it is covered byinsurance.
That's a whole otherher storyfor another.
But nothing's got rightinsurance.
So treatments I get like thereare three hundred four hundred
dollars a pop.
Oh, my gosh meds, vitamins, like there's so much that you
have to do, you know to try to,you know, maintain some form of

(16:13):
living, and so we have kind ofgot that down pat right now, and
so now we're going, you know, out there venturing to some of
those alternative treatments toyou know, become, get a more
livable life.
So if you want to feel free, soget you a no-line.
Please message T, and all youhave to do is just message me on

(16:36):
Talking with Tanya and we'lltake care of that.
And then, lastly, there is acampaign called Lime Story
Guideboard, and so if you lookthat up on GoFundMe, you'll see
the write-up that my familywrote on me, because they're the

(16:57):
ones that started it, kind ofwithout my permission and even
knowing.
But it's truly been a blessing, because people have literally
outpoured since I got infectedand you know it's amazing, you
know, to just think people carethat much, but they do, and so

(17:20):
Lyme story.

Speaker 2 (17:21):
You're an amazing woman.

Speaker 3 (17:23):
Thank you.
So those are just some ways youknow to help me.
You know, kick Lyme's butt andget into remission.

Speaker 2 (17:31):
Well, I love it and, Tanya, we're going to get I'll
get that link from you and wewill post it and I'm excited
because we will send them someinformation about the tea so
that our listeners candefinitely help you and support
you in that, because I thinkit's so important that we're
able to do that.
We've always been a bigsupporter on our Giving Tuesdays

(17:54):
also, and anything that peopleare requiring.
We really want to get ouramazing tribe together to
support one another.
So what we're going to do, too,is, after our call, we'll post
this on our Changemakers Cafe.
So for all of our listenersthat are followers in the
Changemakers Cafe, you'll beable to follow Tanya in that too
.
I love that you are sharingthis with us.

(18:16):
It's not a conversation that alot of people are comfortable
with talking about, and I thinkit's really important you become
a really big advocate aboutLyme disease and the more
information we can get out thereto people so that we can
protect them, I think the betterthe more information we can get
out there to people so that wecan protect them.

Speaker 3 (18:34):
I think the better.
Yeah, that's my heart.
You know, as I've kind ofgotten, I do my unapologetic
purpose.
I'm unapologetic about Lymedisease because you know as many
people that can.
You know.
Lend a voice, lend a hand, that's how we are able to really

(18:57):
have positive change oh girl, Icouldn't agree with you more.

Speaker 2 (18:59):
I love this and we want to be a part of the Me
Project.
So if there's anything that youneed us to support you with
that, the Divas at Care isbehind you in that, in all your
efforts to make the world abetter place.
We just love everything thatyou're doing.
Tanya.

Speaker 3 (19:15):
Thank you so much and you know I love everything you
guys are doing, you know, withnot just the girls but the women
that have just come togetherand garnered around the vision
that Divas that Care have andsaid I want to be a part and I
want to connect, like you hadthe heart to do something

(19:37):
amazing and now you're spreadingthat.
You know that possibility.
You know because I don't eventhink you guys know how big of a
thing that you're doing and howit affects other people to want
to stand up in theircommunities and try to, you know

(19:57):
, help girls and help women and, just, you know, do their part,
like you guys are making echoingthroughout generations.
You guys are affecting multiplegenerations and that is truly
amazing, candace.
So thank you for all that.
You guys are affecting multiplegenerations and that is truly
amazing, candice.
So thank you for all that, youguys are doing.

Speaker 2 (20:17):
Oh gosh, Tanya, thank you so much.
I'm always grateful when I Ialways call my soul sisters,
people that really connect withyou, that understand what you
want to do in this world, and Ireally appreciate what you just
said.
The last thing I want to askyou, Tanya, is do you have any?
I know that you had mentionedabout Lyme disease, but is there

(20:37):
any other last-minute tips, maybe tools, that you can
inspire our listeners with today?

Speaker 3 (20:44):
Yeah, definitely.
You know, as you're figuringout this new normal, don't be
afraid to try anything and newthings.
You know you may have alwaysdid life a certain way, but now
you may have gotten laid off or,unfortunately, you've had your

(21:04):
spouse, you know, pass away.
Now it's your opportunity tofigure out a new life and you
shouldn't be afraid to try out anew way of living it.
You know there's possibilitiesjust out there waiting for you.
There's organizations likeDeepest Care that are looking
for you to connect and supportLike there's so much for you.

(21:25):
There's organizations likeDeepest at Care that are looking
for you to connect and support, like there's so much for you to
do.
And I'm not wanting to putpressure on you.
I just want you to not beafraid, not be afraid to live
life, not be afraid to try again, not be afraid to do a new
thing.
And so that is my number oneadvice and tip from the Me

(21:51):
Project.
Because that thing that'sbehind you, that's going to get
you to go in and try that newthing, is that motivated effort
in you, and so I'm believingthat it's going to help push you
and get you out thereexperiencing the new life and

(22:11):
the new way of doing life.
That's waiting on you.
You guys partnering andconnecting with me on the LEAD
Project with you know, the LINEStory, god Glory Project, the no
Lines Please all of that.

(22:32):
You guys are a tremendousorganization that always puts
others first, and so I believesincerely and wholeheartedly
that, because that's your heart, that there's going to be
opportunities that come your way, that are going to literally
especially this year grow youand not just grow you in a way

(22:55):
that, oh okay, we're going toget new listeners.
No, it's going to grow you towhere you're going to have to,
you know, maybe even come upwith a new segment or begin to
think of a new program for thegirls or begin to think of
opening chapters across thecountry.

(23:16):
But I feel there's going to besome exponential growth this
year and I just believe you guysare ready for it, because you
guys have been serving so manypeople throughout the world and
your heart is always to be thereand give support first.
So I'm believing for awesomeand great things for the

(23:39):
organization and even for youtoo, my soul sister, that it's
just going to be an amazing year, that you know it may be some
things and areas you pivot in,but that pivot is going to be a
good thing and it's going toshow you amazing opportunities
that you yourself didn't thinkanybody knew of or that they

(24:01):
thought that you would be rightfor, but you're going to come
into opportunities and positionsthat they're going to be
looking for you and they'regoing to be asking specifically
for you because you have thatthing.
So I'm just believing, I'mpraying, I'm excited, all of
that because I believe this isyou guys here and I can't wait

(24:24):
to hear the story.

Speaker 2 (24:27):
Oh, my goodness, I love it.
Girl, you are amazing andalways inspiring.
It has been my pleasure to haveyou on today's program.
I know that you are busy.
You have so much going on and Ithank you so much for coming on
the show today, and I'm excitedand.
I want to have you back on theprogram when your book releases.

Speaker 3 (24:50):
Absolutely, absolutely.
You know I take things, youknow, a little slow these days.
I got to work it out, but youknow.

Speaker 1 (24:57):
I definitely.

Speaker 3 (24:58):
You know, like you said, we're soul sisters.
We've been that way, so I wouldlove the opportunity to come
back and be able to share thatthe Me Project is out and, hey,
maybe let's collaborate evenmore.
So I'm excited and I'm grateful.

Speaker 2 (25:17):
We will definitely do some stuff together.
I am beyond grateful for you tocome on today.
So thank you so much, tanya, for being my amazing guest.
As always, you always inspireme.
I'm so happy to have you on andI want to thank all of our
amazing listeners.
I want to have you.
I'm going to ask you to checkout all the stuff that Tanya is

(25:38):
doing.
I'm going to be posting on oursocial media.
Make sure you like it, youshare and you comment on it.
Also, guys, forward it on toall your friends and family.
I think that's the mostimportant thing.
We want to get awareness outthere.
We've talked about Lyme diseasetoday.
We want to make sure that weget that information to the
people that really need it.
It's always a pleasure, tanya,we're going to have you back on

(26:00):
again soon For our listenersmake sure you do something kind
today.
We need more kindness in thisworld and that's what we do is
we pay it forward.
