Probablemente has escuchado la famosa frase: “el cliente siempre tiene la razón”, y más que escucharla, te la han sembrado en el inconsciente como una verdad inexorable. No obstante, la frase que fue popularizada a principios de los 1900 por Harry Gordon Selfridge, un magnate de negocios norteamericano, PERO es incorrecta. Incorrecta de la A a la Z y te digo por qué.
La frase en sí misma está relacionada a la política de satisfacción al cliente por sobre todas las cosas. Es un mantra que se ha repetido durante años para hacer que los empleados tomen decisiones que beneficien a los clientes, pero… ¿qué pasa en el mundo de hoy? ¿Qué pasa cuándo un freelance o emprendedor no recibe el pago por su trabajo porque a un cliente le provocó desaparecer? ¿Qué pasa cuando el cliente malinterpreta las reglas y cree que puede pedirle al freelancer cuanto se le ocurra y le apetezca?
