Speaker 1 (00:00):
You've seen other players been cam guys who who have
been here longer than you do. You strived to have
that kind of longevity in one place, yes, sir, for sure.
You UM. Just like I said, I'm not a guy
always being on the move. You know, I just want
to be around um. You know, I guess I feel
like I've established a lot here, UM seeing so much

(00:22):
ball just a year and year out, UM, and just
a comfortability of the guys in the system. UM, got
the guys around me. UM, just having that sense of uh,
you know, knowing, no knowing they expect out during the field,
you know, the expectations we have for ourselves, UM, just
individually and collectively. You know, they all come together, you know,
for the same goals you know, a year and year

(00:43):
out and let's just not being that achieved the ultimately
yet you know, we know that we're always working towards
that and working for that. And we had a great
guy We had the great guys and great guys in
this building you know to do that and uh, you know,
just being able to be a part of that. Like
I said, it's always special and Mike Tomlin always shows
that one year doesn't carry over to the next. But
it seems like a lot of the players feel like

(01:04):
the way you guys finished this season can carry over year.
I said, I were talking about this earlier. You know,
just coming together at the right time. Uh, you know,
just out of time though, you know, uh, you know,
just right like I said, Yeah, you know what I mean,
just in that sense of, like I said, just being
able to put our best ball together, you know, find

(01:25):
our ways in and out of stadiums, you know, home
and away. You know, like I said, coming together in
sense of not just on the field, but just out
of our brotherhood. You know, just the duration of the year.
You know, you know so much things are, so many
things are going on throughout the year. Um, just being
able to but being able to just like I said, stick,
stick through the diversity, come together at the right time.

(01:45):
Like I said, it was. It was good for us,
and it's it's definitely enticing and and uh, you know,
a lot to look forward to, you know, going forward. Um,
you know, with so many different like I said, new
pieces some men necesarily pieces that are being consistently in
here over the years. Um, like I said, we're putting
together at the right time. Is there any position on

(02:08):
defense that you don't at least know what that guy
is doing, how to play it, or how to what
that guy is doing going to give him. That's not
you know, I feel like that's just the detail of
the job, you know. You know, you never know necessarily,
not a situation of I'm not gonna be able to
go down there and be a defensive lignment, you know.
Just but you know, that's just like I said, having

(02:30):
each other's backs, you know, um, just that that real
brother that brotherhood. You know, want the best success, not
just for yourself. It's not just about your own individual success.
You know, you get your success within what we do
as a collective. So it's not about always about what
I do out there of the field, but being able
to put a guy in the right spot or remind
him on something that I've seen on the film that

(02:51):
he might have not have seen just because of his position.
You know, it might not affect him in the game
or since the same way as it affects me. But
being able to tell him to, hey, take drop, put
your foot on. Put your inside foot up on your
drop instead of your outside foot up, so it gives
you a better angle, you know, what I mean, just
kind of that little small detail like that. You know,
it is a split difference, you know, between him tipping

(03:11):
the past and him intercepting the past. And it might
not it's not my interception, but it goes to him.
And it's just a small detail like that. That just
being able to come together. Uh, like I said, with
your brothers, you know, being able to see the game
the right way, seeing you seeing the game, UM in
a rewarded way. That h it rewards in the sense
of just playing together, you know, having fun out there
and uh, you know, just slying around. You have played

(03:34):
a lot of these spots of we'll see you on
the outside, but see in the slot. She back at
safety at times. Is that flexibility something that that maybe is?
It was unique in particular to this group. We could
see make it down playing linebacker or to rail down
playing linebacker. Again, I mentioned you played multiple spots in
the defense. You guys were able to move around pretty consistently. Yeah, sir,

(03:56):
that just speaks to the versatility of our guys, you know,
the guys that we continue bringing the building, the guys
that we always had in the building. UM. Just our
our overall skill development, UM, just to coach staff obviously
what we work in our craft day in day out,
and just start, like I said, our individual at work
as that we have on our own. Even the all season,
we spent a lot of time together, coming together on coverages,
putting their work together all season worked. You know that

(04:18):
carriers over and leasing into camp and lead into the
season and then uh, you know, just uh like I said,
just the versatility. You know, guys being able to play
different different backgrounds, not just being labeled a safety or
not just a guy that plays around the plays around
the line of scurments, or guy plays on the post,
or a guy who's just to covers corner or a
zone corner. You know, some kind of guys who just

(04:38):
kind of get put in those categories and it's never
just because of what they can do, which is not
as an exposure of what they have been too of
that far, or just within the defense. And with the
moving game like this, you know, you've got so many
dynamic offenses week in week out, you know who have
that same type of flexibility and versatility as well. They're
finding the matchups. They're finding these big receivers or these

(04:59):
big tight ends who are a like receivers and could
move and you know, just so many different like I said,
dynamics of the game that uh, you know you have
to be ready for as a defense, um, to obviously
stop weekend, week out, and in a sense of just dominating.
You know, you don't want to dominate and I just
up within a win, but of being able to match
up with those guys, being able to stop everything that
they throw out, throwback, you know, throw at us. You know, UM,

(05:20):
you know that's that's a great sense. It's a great
feeling especially of just a um, you know, just the
work ethic. Like I said that so many's expectations of
guys are supposed to put up points and supposed to
do all these instead of great things against defenses or
teams week and week out regards to their opponent. But
you know, sense of what we want to do, um,
and just a sense of how we want to dominate
teams and offenses. Uh, you know we have the right

(05:40):
guys to do that and going to continue to keep
you know, getting the right guys for that. Appreciate you, sir,
Thank you so much, Thank you, sir,
