This week are talking about Akudama Drive and honestly for us it was not that great of a show. It was not horrible but it also was not great. This anime follows a group of criminals that all literally named after what their crime or specialty is, like Courier, Brawler, Doctor, Hacker. Each character has a unique design and video game-like feel which is not to surprising since one of the creators worked for a game company. But one of the major downsides for us aside from the pacing was how predictable everything was. We also dig into the weird pacing issues, the over-the-top gore that felt gratuitous with the amount of censorship there was as well. Basically it was watchable but forgettable, especially if you're hoping for something engaging.
