Some may ask why it should matter to me what other church leaders are teaching or other churches or denominations are teaching, as long as the church I attend and participate is standing on Biblical truth and doctrine. In our passage from Jude in this message we recognize that it matters to God and He takes false teaching and teachers very seriously and if it matters to God - it should matter to us. If we are all a part of the Universal Church and someone claiming to be a part of that church is teaching and supporting things that are contrary to scripture - it taints and diminishes the message of the Gospel for all of us and that should matter.
