(Transcribed by TurboScribe.ai. Go Unlimited to remove this message.) What's up, guys?
Welcome to a new episode of the Fit
Women's Weekly Podcast.
Now, y'all, I know it's been a
long time since I've done a Friday Fit
Quickie.
And for that, I'm really sorry.
The truth is, I've been putting out so
many different types of content, really focused on
getting short form content out every day on
TikTok, on YouTube, and doing the longer form

(00:22):
podcast on Wednesday.
So to be honest, I just don't have
so much to share with you guys come
Friday.
Now, if you have a question that you
would like answered, or if there's something in
particular that you want me to talk about,
of course, I will hop in and do
episodes still on Friday when I feel like
I have something significant to bring to the
table.
But I don't want to just hop on

(00:43):
here and just talk for no reason to
keep a Wednesday and a Friday schedule going
on.
So if you've been looking for those Friday
episodes every week, I'm sorry.
But hopefully, maybe this is a little exciting
news because you popped up today and you
saw that there was a new podcast available
on a Friday.
So today, I want to share a very
important invitation with you.

(01:05):
This is only coming to you and the
people that are on my newsletter.
And that is on Monday, I am starting
my eight week summer program.
This has not been advertised to anybody else.
This is something that is in-house for
my Fit Women's Weekly live members only.
If you don't know what Fit Women's Weekly
live is, it is my online training program.

(01:26):
Every day on Facebook, we have a private
group that I go live on and I
do two workouts each day.
I do a 30 minute workout and I
do a 60 minute workout.
And the cool thing about it doing live
is that if people are able to hop
on live, you can do it with me.
We chit chat.
I can't see you.
You can see me.
But if you've ever hopped on a live
before, you guys know how it works.

(01:48):
But I'm able to give real time help.
I'm able to answer questions, give you feedback,
give you motivation to keep you going when
we are all tired.
But most people can't hop on live.
But the workouts stay up so that when
you are able to work out and it's
your workout day, you can do it.
And the cool thing about Fit Women's Weekly
live is even though I go live every

(02:10):
single day, Monday through Friday, I don't expect
you to actually work out with me every
single day.
I treat live as if it were my
fitness studio that I used to have where
I'd offer multiple classes per day.
Right.
Just like the studio down the street.
There's always stuff going on.
That doesn't mean that you're going to go
every single day.
Right.
That would be ridiculous.

(02:31):
But I do lay it out in a
way that if you wanted to work out
Monday, Wednesday, Friday or Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, that
the schedule is balanced enough to be able
to do that.
So part of Fit Women's Weekly live is
also in-house fun events for members only.
And one of those things are the summer
programs that I put on normally called Summer

(02:52):
Shred.
This year we're changing it up and it's
actually going to be called the Hot Girl
Summer Challenge because it is already steamy and
I am hot.
So hot during every single workout.
It's just a kind of fun play on
words.
But the reason we're not doing Summer Shred
is we're just getting off of multiple Ignite
30 programs, which are a very structured program.

(03:13):
And I just felt like, you know what?
We need to kind of take a step
back and have some sort of fun summer
event, but where it's not so structured.
That makes sense.
So we're changing things up.
And basically I went to my members and
I said, what do you guys want to
do?
What would motivate you to increase your fitness
a little bit, motivate you a little bit

(03:34):
more to get your workouts done, but also
give a fun challenge.
And they came back with multiple ideas, but
the top three I said, you know what?
Instead of choosing one, I'm going to do
all of them.
So that means number one, we're focusing our
program a little bit more on endurance.
For the first half of the year, we
were really focused more on hypertrophy training.

(03:56):
So each workout was more on the lower
rep side, but lifting heavy.
We're changing things over for summer to be
more on the higher rep, lower weight side,
because periodization with our fitness is very important.
And we need to make those changes for
healthy balanced fitness and so that we ourselves
don't get so bored.
So we're focusing a little bit more on

(04:18):
endurance with our workouts.
A lot of people also asked that we
incorporate more kettlebells.
We do have Friday kettlebell workouts, but I
wanted to include that a little bit more
throughout the week at the request of them.
Don't worry.
Every workout that includes a kettlebell, I'll also
offer a dumbbell modification.
So that kind of goes together.

(04:38):
That's one part is kettlebell program, but also
more endurance space.
The second part of this challenge is that
there is going to be a little streak.
So it's eight weeks long with the question
of how many workouts can you get done?
Now, I am requiring that all members take
at least one complete rest day per week.
So if I start to see people doing

(04:59):
seven day a week workouts, then I'm going
to say, hey, hey, hey, you're doing a
little bit too much.
But the people that are able to get
the most amount of workouts done over the
eight week period, there's going to be some
fun prizes.
So this is a challenge to get your
streaks.
How many can you get done?
You have the option between 30 minute workouts
and 60 minute workouts so that it's easy

(05:21):
to fit into your schedule.
And yes, when we come up with the
points, each one does count a little bit
different.
And then the final part of this is
a fun in-house little competition at the
end of the summer.
When I had my studio, we used to
do an adult field day where all of
the members from all of our studios would
get together.
We would run out of place at the
park and literally have a field day for

(05:44):
our clients like you used to do an
elementary school.
And I have done that once before with
our field men's weekly, where it was just
an at home virtual online little competition.
And it was so much fun.
And they asked if we could do that
again this year.
So basically at the end of the eight
weeks, which is at the end, or I'm
sorry, I think mid August, we are going

(06:06):
to have a weekend where I'm going to
send out on a Friday, I'd say fit
five to seven short workouts, 20 minutes or
less.
And then you have to do them on
your own and you'll acquire points for them.
You can do them RX, which is like
the recommended way, which I'll say, this is
the way that do the exercise.

(06:27):
This is the weight that you need to
use and you can get points.
And then I'll also offer modified versions too.
So no matter where you are with your
fitness, you can participate.
But all in all, it's just a great
community builder.
So if you've been working out on your
own, you're not having the community, the support
that you want.
Join a group of women who have fun

(06:47):
with their fitness.
It's not always about crushing our bodies.
It's also about doing fun things together.
And that's what the hot girl summer is
all about.
So basically, this is my ladies in my
community have been able to sign up for
a while.
This is the only opportunity that you as
a podcast listener who will get to sign
up for this.

(07:08):
If this sounds like something that you're interested
in, here's how you go about it.
It is only $139 for the entire eight
weeks that includes membership to filaments with alive
and registration for the challenge.
You're not committed to stay after.
It's a one-time purchase once the eight
weeks is over.
If you want to join more into my
regular membership, you can.

(07:30):
But you are not obligated to do that
by any means.
There's not auto pay or auto rollover.
All you have to do is email me
kindle at fitwomensweekly.com and just say, I
want a hot girl summer.
I will send you the private link to
be able to register for it.
You can join.
And then it starts on Monday.
Yeah, it starts on June 16th, and we're

(07:53):
doing it that way because this week actually
is the first week of summer as well.
So we might as well start off hot
girl summer challenge on the first week of
summer, officially summer.
So if that sounds like something that you
want to do, I definitely would love to
have you join in.
If you have any questions, you can email
them kindle at fitwomensweekly.com.

(08:15):
I'll make sure to add my email down
to the list.
And the reason that I'm making it like
this, where you have to email me versus
just click a link, is because I only
want the people to reach out to me
that are truly serious, right?
So if that is you and you're like,
nope, I'm ready to get my fitness on.
I'm ready for a hot girl summer.
Then email me.
We'll get you all set up.

(08:36):
I'll answer any questions that you have.
But you only have, this is the kicker.
So this podcast is going to, I'm actually
probably going to put this out a little
bit early so that you have extra time.
So I'm going to probably put this out
Thursday, mid-afternoon, which is what, the 12th,
I believe.
And then you have until Saturday morning at

(08:57):
11 a.m. Eastern Standard Time to reach
out because I need to make sure that
everybody that is going to do the challenge
is in the challenge group.
I can get everything set up and organized
so that Monday we can hit the ground
running.
Does that sound cool?
And again, I'm sorry.
It's been so long since I put out
a Friday episode.
I only want to talk with you guys
when there's really something valuable that I think

(09:19):
is worth your time.
And I think that this absolutely is.
But again, if you have questions or topics
that you want covered in a Friday Fit
Quickie, all you have to do is reach
out, and I would love to answer them
for you.
Thank you guys so much.
I am so driven.
I'm always motivated during the summer more than
any other time of the year.
I love the sweat.
I love the heat and the humidity.

(09:40):
I love working out in it.
It's hard, but when you're finished, it's like,
oh, my God, I just did that.
And I love changing my workouts a little
bit to reflect this time of year.
So I'm really excited to see where our
fitness as a group grows and goes to
by the end of this eight weeks.
All right, guys.
Thanks so much.
I'll talk to you later.

(10:01):
I got to get going on a sourdough
loaf.
I am making a chocolate and cinnamon swirl,
making two different loaves, one for a friend,
one for my dad for Father's Day.
So I got to get going on that.
Talk to you later.
Bye.
