We need to talk about Chargers head coach Brandon Staley
because the Chargers are nineteen and sixteen under his watch,
and twelve of those sixteen losses are by one score
or less, and in five of their last six losses,
the Chargers had a second half lead. This man is
literally blowing it literally and figuratively. He even had Darren

Spros calling for his job before the season started, And
when have you ever heard Darren spro say anything negative
about anybody, even when you heard the dude talks. Now,
Brandon Staley has to do something to get people to
stop thinking about how his team blew it by getting
outscored thirty one to three in the final thirty one
minutes of last year's wildcard round, or how when Brandon

Staley called a time out to give the Raiders time
to cat a game winning overtime field goal to knock
them out of the playoff race in twenty twenty one
to end the season. And now Staley was hired after
one season after the Rams defensive coordinator, and before that
he'd never been responsible for calling a defense at a
major college or professional level. Sure, Staley had the number

one defense and the Rams won the twenty twenty Super Bowl,
but anybody that even accidentally brushed up against Sean McVay
was getting interviews, and Staley certainly benefited from that. Now,
you'd figure at least the defensive ingenuity that got him
the job would translate, but it hasn't, and in twenty
twenty one, the Chargers were twenty third in yards given

up twenty ninth in points allowed, and last year the
Chargers secondary leveled up to be seventh in the league
against the pass, but it didn't matter because they were
twenty eighth against the run. And on Sunday, the Chargers
gave up four hundred and sixty six pass yards to
Tua and one hundred and twenty one yards of offense
in the fourth quarter alone, and Tyreek sealed the deal.

Despite having Khalil Mack, Joey Bosa, Derwin James going against
a Miami offensive line that almost got two a killed
last year, they didn't have a single sack, and Staley
has one of the best young arms in the NFL,
two twenty million dollar wide receivers Keenan Allen and Mike Williams,
plus not one but two productive running backs with Austin

Eckler and Joshua Kelly. And this supposed defensive mastermind is
out here wasting all of these offensive resources with a
defense that surrenders more than the French Army. Now, one
of the worst parts about Brandon Staley's coaching tenure is
that he came to the Chargers gig with the mindset
of being the most aggressive coach in history when it
comes to fourth downs, only now to start second guessing

himself in the middle of the season. And in twenty
twenty one, the Chargers went for it on fourth down
one third at the time and converted nearly two thirds
of those. Then last November, out of nowhere, Staley decides
to punt on fourth and inches with a third quarter
lead against the Chiefs, putting the ball back into that
man Patrick Mahomes's hands, and you know what happened next.

People are starting to talk about whether Stalley can make
it through the season. But I'm not worried about the season.
I'm worried about the next five games, the Titans, the Vikings,
the Raiders, Cowboys in Chiefs, and if they aren't at
least five hundred after that, slate Chargers offensive coordinator Kellen
Moore might be getting a paymump and some expanded responsibilities.
