Speaker 1 (00:01):
You ready to check your feelings at the door?

Speaker 2 (00:05):
Check it out? Check it out.

Speaker 1 (00:06):
This is am I reister or am I wrong? We're
bringing you facts and only the truth. Now, am I
reister or am I row?

Speaker 2 (00:16):
We need to talk about Bill's quarterback Josh Allen, because
to survive in the NFL, ord to survive in the
world in general, you have to adapt, and not just once,
you have to keep adapting over and over again. Because
I didn't think that Josh Allen would be successful in
the NFL when it came out of Wyoming, not as
a quarterback anyway. I thought this dude with that body
might have been a generational tight end Tim Tebow like him,

(00:40):
he wasn't able to make that transition. But my former
teammate Matt Jones, Logan Thomas, and Felipe Franks all figured
it out, and I thought Josh Allen could have been
the best of that crew. But then he proved me
wrong in a lot of other people along the way.
But how did he do that? This dude put the
pedal to the medal at all times. He ran hard,
he threw hard, didn't care about being neat, and didn't

(01:02):
care about turnovers. And he damned sure. Wasn't worried about
his physical welfare. He just had that mindset that he
was going to be the last man standing at the
bar bra. It was entertaining and gained him a lot
of fans. After all, the NFL is the entertainment business.
But in the course of that entertainment, the Bills started
to win, and as they won, everything increased the stakes,

(01:23):
the expectations, his pay, and the hype. And when Josh
Allen figured out NFL defenses with the help of officer
coordinator Brian Dabele, he found himself the twenty twenty MVP
runner up. And that's when the pendulum began to shift,
as it always does, because after that season he signed
that massive extension, which every team with a franchise quarterback
knows makes it harder to retain stars at other positions,

(01:46):
and the success laid to later draft picks harder to
hit on. And it also led to Brian Dabele bolting
to be the head coach of the New York Giants.
And I've often said, the thing that gets you to
the party isn't always the thing that keeps you at
the party, and Josh Allen has to feel like this
team's success is more and more on his shoulders. So
in twenty twenty two he reverted back to his wyoming

(02:06):
cowboy bar fight days. He finished third in the MVP voting.
Bills won thirteen games and a playoff game, but his
stack percentage went up from four to five and a
half percent. He turned the ball over nineteen times during
the regular season and another four during the playoffs, Plus
he had another ten fumbles last year that the Bills
were lucky enough to fall on before that added to

(02:27):
the turnover total. But to stay at this party, Josh
Allen got a chill man. He's got to trust that
defense that was first in points allowed in twenty one
second in twenty twenty two, and that was suffocating the
Jets last night until he turned the ball over four times.
And after the game, Josh Allen, with that blank stare, said, man,
I was trying to force the ball, same shit, same place,

(02:49):
different day. I heard our team tonight. I hurt our
team tonight. This feels emily eerily similar to last year.
The same thing I know all of a sudden, the
thing that made Josh Allen fun, playing like he had
everything in the world to prove it don't seem so
fun anymore because the standard has been raised, and he's

(03:10):
already proven to himself, to me, his front office, to
the fans, and everybody in the league whose opinion matters
that he might have crashed this party, but he belongs
at the party now, and the second he starts acting
like it, trusting the game plan and his teammates, he'll
start having fun again. And also Buffalo Bills figure out

(03:30):
how to run the ball let that sink in
