No guest for this one (there's no one we can think of that we hate enough to make them watch this trash movie).
Welcome to what is hopefully the last conversation ANYONE will have on the 2001 film Evolution, a bargain bin Ghostbusters rip-off that doesn't check a single box to be worth a revisit. Sorry this is sounding harsher than I mean it - you gotta understand, we just watched this film, recording a full hour talking about it, then had to spend time editing that conversation, so we've been down here way too long.
Evolution is a 2001 American comic (supposedly) science (supposedly) fiction (thank god) film (debatable) directed by Ivan Reitman. It stars David Duchovny, Orlando Jones, Seann William Scott, Julianne Moore, and Ted Levine. It was released by DreamWorks Pictures in the United States and by Columbia Pictures internationally. The plot of the film follows college professor Ira Kane (Duchovny) and geologist Harry Block (Jones), who investigate a meteorite crash in Arizona. They discover that the meteorite harbors extraterrestrial lifeforms, which are evolving very quickly into large, diverse and outlandish creatures.
