Speaker 6 (01:56):
You don't want to be the packer dow pack.

Speaker 8 (01:58):
Yeah wow.

Speaker 6 (02:00):
Really as a tour walks.

Speaker 8 (02:04):
You think this is a symbol of I'm sorry, Jess,
that was very real good.

Speaker 3 (02:08):
That's all good. I am sal poppy.

Speaker 7 (02:10):
Together we make hanging with the boys the sports talk

Speaker 6 (02:29):

Speaker 5 (02:32):
Spring break week in Frisco and go to school, man break,
How are y'all passing by?

Speaker 8 (02:38):
Good?

Speaker 5 (02:39):
How does it go? It seems like once a week
we're just there. We lost days and they going to
harass the tour. So it seems like once a week
is just not enough.

Speaker 3 (02:48):
It's long.

Speaker 6 (02:49):
It seems like it's been like three weeks since we've
been on.

Speaker 4 (02:51):
The show, a while since we've been Yeah, yeah, maybe
that's what it is.

Speaker 7 (02:55):
We could do small things like actually come together outside
of the show, like we are humans.

Speaker 3 (02:59):
We've done that war.

Speaker 6 (03:00):
In the six years of the show.

Speaker 3 (03:02):
We we could do that. We went to that, we
could we could do.

Speaker 6 (03:05):
That and had a meal together and that's about it.
It's almost twice because Kurt didn't make the other one.

Speaker 9 (03:10):
Yeah.

Speaker 7 (03:10):
Yeah, So it would be a lot easier to get
us four Chris involved than because Nate' just never know.

Speaker 3 (03:16):
With Nate never it is literally this is what you get.

Speaker 6 (03:21):
That's what you get from rate A. Y'all have fun
and then he'll show up.

Speaker 3 (03:24):
And it'll show up.

Speaker 7 (03:24):
But then sometimes you're like, all right, have fun and
then he'll send you a picture like I hope you'll
have a good time.

Speaker 3 (03:29):
I'm in Romania. Yeah, like.

Speaker 5 (03:33):
Not Romania because he'd had to fly I know, but yeah,
he'll be South America.

Speaker 3 (03:36):
He'll be he'll get to Mexico quick.

Speaker 5 (03:38):
I wonder if you could drive all the way to
the tip of South America.

Speaker 9 (03:42):
Sure you could. It's all connected.

Speaker 5 (03:44):
Yeah, but passports and check out. Nate probably a little
bit more trouble than we would.

Speaker 6 (03:49):
Well, I don't know. He gets intut to Mexico pretty
easy these.

Speaker 7 (03:52):
Days, so I think he makes it sound a lot
easier than what it really is.

Speaker 6 (03:57):
You think I think he has pace?

Speaker 3 (04:00):
Yeah, I think he has a lot of patience. That
name comes across.

Speaker 8 (04:03):
The screen, mister Newton, I think you neither.

Speaker 3 (04:05):
Yeah, check my car? Yeah right there, you checked my car.

Speaker 6 (04:11):
Thinking emails him a couple of weeks ahead of time.
It's like, I'm away on.

Speaker 5 (04:15):
This day at this time, I'm probably gonna be there
if you want to go ahead and start.

Speaker 7 (04:18):
Honestly, he might have like a like a border agent,
like a friend that he knows.

Speaker 3 (04:22):
They're like, hey, just heads up, I'm on my way.

Speaker 7 (04:24):
Yeah, I'm on the huge Cowboys fan. Yeah, for sure,
I'm on the way. So hey, Bill, I'm coming down
for lunch. Yeah, I'm sending. I'm sending my location. Just no,
so I'll be there in about an hour or two.

Speaker 5 (04:35):
But we know that doesn't happen because Nate, There's no
way in hell he knows how to send.

Speaker 4 (04:38):
The location from a phone, that's no way in hell.
So he still deals with cash, which is not bad. No,
that's a good way to do business, especially these days
and times you never know what's gonna happen with the
economy and.

Speaker 7 (04:52):
The quick question, do you just keep it like a
small amount of cash on you at all times?

Speaker 5 (04:56):
I used to not, and then I got to where
I would have an emergency fund, so i'd like like
a folded up hundred dollars bill stuck hitting in my wallet.

Speaker 6 (05:05):
And now if I go to like somewhere.

Speaker 5 (05:07):
That has a if I use my debit card and
it says do you want cash back, I'll just hit yes,
and I'll take twenty bucks out every time, and then
if I get up to too much in.

Speaker 6 (05:16):
My wallet, I'll put it in a shoe box.

Speaker 5 (05:19):
So now, yeah, I keep I'll probably keep sixty hundred
bucks on me.

Speaker 9 (05:23):
Yeah, very little once in a while, but not very
often anymore, do you.

Speaker 3 (05:28):
Yeah, I keep at least like fifty on me just
in case. Yeah, in case you're somewhere that yeah, just
you just never know.

Speaker 6 (05:33):
System goes down Wi Fi go, I thought about that.

Speaker 7 (05:36):
Lose your phone, lose your while I always just got
I always keep keep fifty on me all right in.

Speaker 10 (05:40):
The in the.

Speaker 5 (05:43):
I guess the history of the show to keep it going,
and not trying not to get the football until the
base the second segment. I started doing this after the pandemic.
I've started to and I won't y'all tell me if
I'm crazy. Well, my car crazy down?

Speaker 3 (05:58):
Okay for this?

Speaker 6 (06:00):
Oh we got a stray rock. He got him.

Speaker 5 (06:06):
When my car gets down to about half a take
of gas, I go fill back up. I try not
to ever let it get down past half a tank,
just because if you ever need to get out of
town quick.

Speaker 6 (06:19):
What did he do?

Speaker 3 (06:21):
He's bringing this is the tour that I just came through.

Speaker 5 (06:24):
They just brought him back in the loop, brought him back.

Speaker 6 (06:27):
We're sorry, we can't control him. We're sorry. What did
you do?

Speaker 8 (06:33):
Exact fool?

Speaker 5 (06:34):
Okay, sorry, we apologize for him. Yeah, I don't let
my car get below half a tape, just in case
we're delaying talking about football.

Speaker 3 (06:46):
I ride the wave.

Speaker 7 (06:47):
I try to ride the gas wave because, like you know,
sometimes like it'll go up, it'll be.

Speaker 6 (06:51):
Like three fifteen. So I try to ride the wave
until it Yeah.

Speaker 7 (06:55):
So if I get down, I'm like it's Thursday, like
today like the other day, and my neighborhood it.

Speaker 3 (07:00):
Was like two forty five.

Speaker 6 (07:03):
Oh wow.

Speaker 7 (07:03):
And then I get my bonus points because I go
to seven eleven pump eight.

Speaker 8 (07:06):
There you go.

Speaker 7 (07:07):
I type in my cold like I might get like
sometime I like five cents off, eleven cents off up
to like seventeen cents I got like seventeen cent one time,
so it's like like two forty five to forty today
it's like two ninety five. So I'm out a half
a tank. So I'm riding this wave out hoping it dips,
hoping it dips again. But if it don't, then I'm
only gonna put like twenty in there to hope it
get until it dip again, and.

Speaker 3 (07:28):
Then I then I fill up. You like play the gas, Yeah,
I play it? Yeah I do. I do. I play
the big gas.

Speaker 5 (07:32):
I used to do that, but then when I figured out,
you know, I'm only saving about fifteen twenty cents a gallon.

Speaker 3 (07:38):
Is it worth that's my fifth?

Speaker 6 (07:40):
Is it worth two bucks?

Speaker 3 (07:43):
You don't do it not a lot. I do a
lot of driving. They must save a lot.

Speaker 11 (07:47):
At one of these membership places because every time I
drive by, I don't want to mention the place, but
every time I drive by that.

Speaker 3 (07:53):
Gas oh yeah, yeah it is.

Speaker 6 (07:56):
I don't know they're giving away free gas with those memberships.
I don't know. Do you let you do more driving
than anything?

Speaker 8 (08:01):
I don't care.

Speaker 12 (08:03):
I let it go all the way down about them
because I'm filling up because I'm going, I'm going.

Speaker 3 (08:08):
Now you are you driving? That's like when you drive,
you be like it's on E But I know my car.

Speaker 8 (08:12):
I know my car.

Speaker 3 (08:15):
Is not a black and white thing. Y'all do that.

Speaker 6 (08:19):
I used to, but now you've got the digital thing.

Speaker 3 (08:21):
It's a wife thing too, bro, it's a wife thing.
It's my wife's like, oh.

Speaker 8 (08:25):
It's on three dogs.

Speaker 6 (08:26):
I can go like the working back. I'm like, no
you can, because I'm have to come pick you up
the road. Okay for that, not worth the gamble, Not
worth the gamble. Speaking of gambling that we're not allowed
to do.

Speaker 3 (08:42):
That we don't do.

Speaker 6 (08:43):
But you can do free brackets. Did y'all do brackets?

Speaker 8 (08:47):
Bracket or what for the tournament march?

Speaker 7 (08:49):
Okay, yeah, yes, yes, I've never done a bracket before
in my life.

Speaker 8 (08:53):
Really pick one team.

Speaker 3 (08:55):
I picked one team. It's North Carolina versus the world.

Speaker 6 (08:58):
How do you feel about them this year?

Speaker 5 (09:00):
Because you know, the last team to get in, but
they actually look.

Speaker 7 (09:05):
Pretty strong, surviving advanced baby Jesse's way of saying, not
right out, no, no, no, I.

Speaker 3 (09:13):
Feel good about this team. I do feel good about
this team in a tournament.

Speaker 7 (09:17):
I thought we started playing really good basketball late in
the year. Now we lose to Duke, Right, Duke's a
really really, really really good footbro basketball team. Like it
just this is they got they got probably the best
player in the country. But we don't play Duke in
the tournament. And it's all about styles make fights. And
one thing I do know as someone as a car

(09:39):
carrying member of a national championship in the college basketball ranks,
you need good guard play in the NC Double A tour.
If you have veteran guard play in the NC Double
A tournament, you have a chance. What did you see
in the first round of n C Double A Tournament
for the for the tar Heels guard play R J. Davis,
who was last year's AC You see National Player of

(10:00):
the Year, fifth year senior twenty six points in that
opening game six for six behind the three point line,
and we won by thirty nine or whatever it was.

Speaker 3 (10:10):
Our guards played really, really, really well.

Speaker 7 (10:12):
So and another thing that I think that we're gonna
play well with one of our players who comes off
the bench.

Speaker 1 (10:18):
He's he.

Speaker 7 (10:21):
His he practices the religion of as a Muslim. So
he was in Ramadan so about you know, he fast
throughout the day and then he can't eat until sundown.
So the last couple of weeks of the season, the
games were happening during Ramadan where he can't eat, can't
eat or drink anything.

Speaker 3 (10:38):
Not even water.

Speaker 7 (10:39):
So that was kind of they had to kind of,
you know, play with his minutes a little bit. I
think now that we're getting towards the tail end of
Ramadan and and the games are being at at at
when sun goes down, will be wrapped on minute.

Speaker 6 (10:51):
Telka, all right, we'll good.

Speaker 8 (10:54):
Curse you, Caurris you Ramadan.

Speaker 6 (10:57):
Not today, I heard a great answer.

Speaker 3 (11:04):
Not today. I'd say it never today. It's not today.
I'm not today. It's not what I'm subscribing to.

Speaker 5 (11:11):
All right, before we get into Kurt's list, thank you
for the list today, Kurt.

Speaker 6 (11:14):
It's a good point.

Speaker 5 (11:17):
We had drama. I think within an hour after the show.
Last show, on the exact topic that we were talking about, there.

Speaker 6 (11:25):
Was probably about to be drama about.

Speaker 5 (11:28):
And I think within an hour after us getting off
the show, Tank was interviewed by the Seahawks staff and
basically said what we all know is years and years
of frustration, little drought. One yeah, and basically said he
wasn't going to win a super Bowl here.

Speaker 6 (11:49):
And then you.

Speaker 5 (11:51):
Know Micah the new leader of the locker room, which
we talked about that whole dynamic and was coincidental that
it happened right after our show.

Speaker 6 (11:59):
What happens when we leave?

Speaker 8 (12:01):
And Nate, you weren't on.

Speaker 5 (12:02):
Last week, but we talked about personalities typically stay the
same in the locker room. Players just go into those
personal like you always got a jerk, you always got
the quiet, leaders, you always got the roles. Don't change
the people do, right, What's gonna happen when Tank leaves
and Jesse was talking about leaders don't have to say
they're a leader, especially out on social media, and you know,

(12:25):
so we'll see how this goes. And then Tank goes
and says that Michael clockwork right out right after on Twitter.

Speaker 6 (12:34):
This some clown s. You know, you didn't say that
when you was here. Blah blah blah.

Speaker 5 (12:38):
And then since Michael Irvan's gotten involved and Michael's kind
of got Micah's side on it, saying you was part
of the problem. Like you, you know, y'all didn't do anything.
You got paid all this money. So what do you
you weren't here last week? How do you feel about
one Tank taking a shot which is years of pin
up frustration. The Cowboys did make him the highest paid

(13:00):
player in franchise history non quarterback at the time, right,
so there should be a little bit of loyal to
You should probably keep that in the locker room. And
then how do you feel about Michael firing back at
him after that?

Speaker 12 (13:11):
Defend your team? You know a lot of things I
don't agree with with Michael, but defend your team. I mean,
Tank had his opportunity a lot of years, but Tank
played ten years. He had his opportunities. But also he
has the right to say what he feels. And this
land of it's about me. It's about what I say, and.

Speaker 8 (13:34):
The only thing that counts is what I think. This is,
This is this is how it go.

Speaker 12 (13:39):
These are two full grown men, And I promise you,
once they see each other out in the in the public,
they probably come up and strap hey man, everything cool,
which everything on there will be cool because when you
the big dog like Tank was, and all of a
sudden his young pup come in and take the line
like by force because he took it because he was
the best player on that defense.

Speaker 8 (14:01):
This happens, you know, this happens is just back with
men jests played.

Speaker 12 (14:05):
We would have been a little more respectful on how
we handled it because the Joneses have always been about
Tank and Tank. You know, Tank have always been like
I don't care about the cap. You know, actually, all
problems Tank been about always been about Tank. This ain't
nothing new. But I always believe in defending the home front.
But you know, Michael can get up out of here too,

(14:25):
And you don't be shocked if you're like, yeah, I
agree with h I agree with Tank, you with the super.

Speaker 7 (14:30):
So here's my only pushback towards you on defending the
home front. Because two things can be true and two
things can be wrong. I think what Tank said was unnecessary.
I think it's unnecessary.

Speaker 8 (14:48):
Wrong.

Speaker 3 (14:49):
We can we can actually was it wrong? Right? Because
he said, I don't feel like I can.

Speaker 7 (14:54):
Win a championship there. That's what he said. I thought
the shot was unnecessary. I thought the shot I think
he knew what he wanted to do.

Speaker 8 (15:05):
Now.

Speaker 7 (15:05):
Where I pushed back on you is this because the
conversation that we had was about leaders and I made
this comment on my other show. The quote goes, a
lion doesn't lose sleep over the opinions of sheep, and
we're talking about leadership, and from MICA's perspective, because you

(15:27):
knew what this was going to be, especially via social media,
when you put it out via social media, you knew
what kind of hell storm that was going to.

Speaker 3 (15:36):
Put out there.

Speaker 7 (15:38):
I look at it and I go that saw the
same comment, didn't utter, repeap, didn't quote, tweet, didn't subtweet,
didn't send shots through somebody else, because a lion doesn't
lose sleep over the opinion of a sheep. And so

(15:58):
when we talk about leadership, I thought Micah should have
been like, you know what, that dude's no longer a
part of our.

Speaker 6 (16:06):
Pack, taking the high road. Ignored it, ignore, it doesn't matter.

Speaker 7 (16:11):
Doesn't matter, because I'm giving this legs because when I
respond it becomes national news. If it's just him, then
he's out there looking all crazy. But now I've given it.
I've put the kerosene on this flame and taken it
to another level. And I'm thinking about, like, if this
is the step for him to take the throne of leader,

(16:34):
at least for the defensive side. The mature part of
it is, I ain't add no more drama to what
we already got going on. That's how that dude feel.

Speaker 8 (16:44):
You've good, lucky.

Speaker 12 (16:46):
You've just talked two minutes of pure essence and only
one word registered the mature guy. Okay, okay, I mean
you said good and you look good doing it.

Speaker 3 (17:02):
Thank you?

Speaker 8 (17:04):
Who in today's I need to like get onto my.

Speaker 12 (17:08):
What what when you have a conversation, it's just a
dialogue or thread or whatever your time. Yeah, you're right, you,
I promise you all Parsons was doing.

Speaker 8 (17:22):
Like click click click click. Oh yeah boy.

Speaker 3 (17:25):
And here's the crazy part about it.

Speaker 7 (17:27):
And that's why I used that particular quote because at
the time Michaels in Dubai.

Speaker 3 (17:33):
He was in Dubai.

Speaker 8 (17:34):
WHOA have a good time?

Speaker 7 (17:36):
You stepped away from vacation to address this, Like that
part I'm like Dak was on vacation.

Speaker 3 (17:43):
There were spots of him with his family.

Speaker 5 (17:45):
Getting held from the the Bahamas.

Speaker 3 (17:49):
Yeah, and it's like, I'm sure Dak' saw.

Speaker 5 (17:52):
But it's like, you know what, one thing I don't
understand about social media? Right, I get it if you're
me and Kurt and you're you're an average person and
you get the dopamine, you get the gratification from the attention. Right. Oh,
you know what, and this may be just the way
that I'm wired.

Speaker 6 (18:14):
I get it.

Speaker 5 (18:14):
I understand how especially if you start you get a
following and they empower you, and they and people you know,
it's the group think mentality.

Speaker 6 (18:22):
But when you have everything that like like a Micah does,
or just.

Speaker 5 (18:27):
Anybody in the in your when you were the one
of the best at what you do, you're in the
top point one percent of what you do, why do
you need that unless it's unless it's to promote something,
unless it's from who from you?

Speaker 9 (18:45):
He wants that leadership?

Speaker 6 (18:46):
But okay, you don't need that. Do it over there?

Speaker 3 (18:49):
What the leadership role is this? The leadership role is
me doing this?

Speaker 6 (18:52):
Why is that so important?

Speaker 13 (18:53):
No?

Speaker 3 (18:53):
The leadership role is me doing this?

Speaker 11 (18:55):
Is.

Speaker 3 (18:55):
I'm getting in the group chat to the rest of
my team. Hey, y'all don't actually, hey, so we not
do right. He's no longer.

Speaker 7 (19:01):
Part of our pack. We're moving forward. We're gonna just
prove him and the rest of the world wrong.

Speaker 6 (19:06):
Love Tank.

Speaker 3 (19:07):
But he's gone boom lying out, Yeah.

Speaker 6 (19:11):
There you go.

Speaker 9 (19:12):
Well that's what he should have done.

Speaker 7 (19:14):
You know what I'm saying like that, Like that's still
like listen, we're not we're not.

Speaker 8 (19:17):
We're not. We're not.

Speaker 3 (19:18):
We're not to say he ain't a part.

Speaker 6 (19:19):
Of this norm. There's your boy. He is here, chrisy
he got busted.

Speaker 8 (19:25):
I didn't know he was here or not. I'm thinking,
you know, but anyway, Oh, he is.

Speaker 6 (19:30):
Here, bro call him.

Speaker 3 (19:33):
I got extra Mike.

Speaker 6 (19:35):
Text him in a break. We'll do it in a break.

Speaker 12 (19:37):
Yeah, but hey, that don't when I found out, I
didn't notice.

Speaker 8 (19:43):
You noticed, yes, and you two guys. I didn't know that.

Speaker 12 (19:48):
If you get so big on one of these communication
lines or social media lines, you can start getting paid.

Speaker 8 (19:54):
A lot a lot of money.

Speaker 12 (19:56):
So why wouldn't the kid do this? Wow, It's like, yeah,
why wouldn't he do it? I mean every dollar counts,
Just because you can't tell me every dollar.

Speaker 3 (20:06):
You know, I love a dollar.

Speaker 8 (20:09):
You don't love a dollar. You control.

Speaker 3 (20:10):
I like a dollar, I don't love. I don't love money.
I control, and I appreciate a good paper.

Speaker 9 (20:16):
Yeah, so that's the difference today. It's about the brand.

Speaker 8 (20:19):
Yeah, it's about the brand.

Speaker 12 (20:20):
And so when I see when I saw that, I'm like, wow,
that's more clicks. I mean, I don't know if tak
into that, but I know Micah is into that.

Speaker 8 (20:30):
You know that brings people to him when you can.

Speaker 3 (20:33):
Go at your ex calling engagement, Yeah, engagement.

Speaker 9 (20:37):
Don't you think most fans are kind of like, yeah,
you know you're telling Michaeh, you know, screwed.

Speaker 3 (20:43):
Oh you know, I got.

Speaker 7 (20:45):
A good life out of the whole thing, because when
it happened, I didn't get a good life out of
and I was kind of like aging it on a
little bit. I didn't get a laugh out of them
two going back and forth, and even Traymont dis kind
of dipped his toe end then deleted his tweets because
he was like, you know.

Speaker 3 (20:58):
What, I probably what he said. I didn't he I'll
show you his tet, but he said something about like.

Speaker 7 (21:04):
I gotta find the tweets that but he had, but
he dipped in and then he deleted his tweets immediately
because he like, I might have some skeletons that I
don't probably want to take to bring out to the world.

Speaker 3 (21:11):
But let me get it, this ain't my fight, right.

Speaker 7 (21:14):
But what I found funny, and this is always the
back and forth that I have with fandom.

Speaker 3 (21:19):
But there were people. There were fans that were like.

Speaker 7 (21:22):
If it's f us, it's f you you Tank, forget you,
and they were like, really the content cribs were like
and I was like, that man wasn't talking to y'all,
like he was talking to y'all. And they were getting
online and like crashing out, like cussing and fussing about
what Tank said, as if he was personally talking to them,

(21:43):
like they were the ones in the locker room, like
they put them on the cleats in the past. And
I just was like, oh, y'all, and I had I literally,
this is no this is no exaggeration. I got home,
I rushed home, I took a shower, I got in
the bed, and I was just sitting in the bed
rubbing my feet and I was flipping through this thing.
And when I tell you, I had the belly laugh

(22:04):
of belly laugh throughout the about two three hours. I
just kept refreshing people's pages, kept going to seeing and
they were putting out an I had a ball of
just laughing at some of the content creators and some
of the people who were just like up in arms
about this.

Speaker 5 (22:20):
I was shocked that most most people, most fans had
Micah's back.

Speaker 8 (22:27):
Conboys, yahoy, yeah, cowboys.

Speaker 5 (22:30):
But I was I was thinking that maybe some people
were getting tired of like the Twitter stuff, the being
out there, the talking mess. But I was shocked that
very few people had tanks.

Speaker 6 (22:42):
Tanks.

Speaker 12 (22:43):
Only time fans will be tired when it's continuous losing.
That's the only time they'll get tired. That's the only
time they'll take shots at this kid. Yeah, you know,
even when it comes time to pay them, they're not
going to take shots at this dude. I mean, everybody
always want to be on the high side when everything
is rolling right.

Speaker 5 (23:00):

Speaker 6 (26:19):
Whatever it is that whatever they want me to do there,
you go go do it. After the show.

Speaker 5 (26:25):
All right, let's talk since it's it's timely and this
is over in the building, let's talk to draft a
little bit now that we've kind of gotten through the season,
got through the off season a little bit.

Speaker 6 (26:37):
Drafts coming up, you know, Speculations starting.

Speaker 5 (26:41):
To abound about who the cowboy, who will be there,
who's going to drop, who you should get we know
who they've signed in the off season, kind of see
what the team's looking like before training camp and before
the draft.

Speaker 6 (26:55):
Kurt, who would you? Who do you like in the draft?

Speaker 2 (26:59):
Like?

Speaker 6 (26:59):
Who? Who do you? Who are you hearing? And then
who do you like?

Speaker 9 (27:03):
And well one, I'm not a big draft guy?

Speaker 3 (27:05):
So quick plug? What you did?

Speaker 8 (27:07):
Do that?

Speaker 3 (27:08):
I did do the draft book? Quick plug? Put to
put the plug in there.

Speaker 9 (27:11):
Yeah, we got our Dallas Cowboys Storemakering Draft Guide coming out.
It should be next week. I think it'll be hitting
the store, So yeah, I'll be able to look out
for that. All the draft. Uh, scattering reports called did
a great job.

Speaker 6 (27:22):
I mean, guys, do you feature We.

Speaker 9 (27:24):
Have scattering reports on about one hundred over one hundred,
one hundred and ten and then list kind of rankings
of five hundred or so.

Speaker 6 (27:31):
I would you say, you're not a big draft guy.
This is not the draft show.

Speaker 5 (27:34):
We never have claimed to be normal, we ever claim
to be I would go out on a limb and say,
you probably going through those one hundred or whatever reviews
that you probably know more about the draft than any
of us are.

Speaker 9 (27:48):
I don't know about that.

Speaker 6 (27:50):
Jesse knows a lot.

Speaker 3 (27:53):
I'm about the draft, Google, but I do have to
keep up.

Speaker 6 (27:55):
Yeah, yeah, at least a little like Kurt has to
keep up. I mean you're doing in depth analysis of
those guys are reading that. Yeah, yeah, so you don't
undersell yourself.

Speaker 9 (28:06):
I mean to ask your question. You know, I'm liking
the idea of maybe the wide receiver out of Arizona,
and I can't pronounce his name to Tarroa. That receiver
position worries me with the Cowboys, and.

Speaker 5 (28:22):
It seems like a lot of conversations are starting to
go to receiver as a first round need is to
wear pre free agency, I think that was you know,
everybody was defensive line. Now that you got Osa, that's
kind of like, all right, we might be good there.
You need depth obviously in cornerback.

Speaker 3 (28:40):
How did you come up with that?

Speaker 8 (28:41):
One?

Speaker 6 (28:42):
May be no we as a first round pick, like
are you going to go?

Speaker 8 (28:47):
You just signed of falling into you? Better take you?

Speaker 6 (28:51):
You know they're not going.

Speaker 3 (28:52):
There's only one.

Speaker 7 (28:52):
There's only one worthy fall into your He ain't falling
to you, and that's Mason Graham out of out of Michigan.

Speaker 12 (28:59):
Oh no, don't don't, please, don't follow us. Please, please,
you won't be there. No, thank you, thank you. Make
sure that whoever get him, don't you have second guesses
on this kid from Michigan. Please don't tell about Mason. Yeah,
whoever to get him in the first level and get him?

Speaker 5 (29:21):
How much Jesse with with your with your with you
ain't going through this with your other show? How are you?
How into the draft? I know y'all cover pretty in
depth and y'all talk about a lot. Are you you
watching film or you just gathering information? How how far
down in the rabbit hole do you get on this stuff?

Speaker 7 (29:43):
I'm premier guys like first, Yeah, I'm I'm I'm knowledgeable,
uh to some degree in those areas with guys. I
watched some taple on those guys and guys that we
may talk about on our show that I don't know.

Speaker 3 (29:58):
I go and go research.

Speaker 7 (29:59):
Yeah, but like I'm not like, I'm not gonna tell
you you're not God the fifth ground.

Speaker 6 (30:03):
Yeah, you're not going to do a scouty reports five rounds.

Speaker 7 (30:06):
No, I'm gonna, as Clarence Hill says, I'm gonna play
the hits.

Speaker 3 (30:09):
There you go, I'm gonna play the hits.

Speaker 6 (30:10):
Who are you?

Speaker 5 (30:11):
Who who would you like the Cowboys to get even
if you think he might go before the Cowboys get there, Like,
who would you ideally want them to take that's realistic
in the first round? And who do you who are
a couple of names that you're intrigued by falling to twelve.

Speaker 7 (30:24):
I my heart says, I want in my heart, I
want a Mecca Buka, Ohio state wide receiver.

Speaker 3 (30:35):
I think he is.

Speaker 7 (30:38):
And I know twelve might be high. For God, that's
gonna be a number two. I think he fits opposite
of CD.

Speaker 3 (30:46):
So well, what does he do?

Speaker 8 (30:48):
Well?

Speaker 3 (30:48):
Everything?

Speaker 7 (30:50):
Everything, he he gonna he gonna block his tail off.
He is a you know how I feel about route runners.
He is a route runner. He is a route runner.
He's full size. You know, ain't not a little joker.
You know, he's a He's a He's a full size man.
He's fast enough, not blazing, but he doesn't drop the ball,

(31:13):
can get some yack, can run any route that you
need him to run. And I think for the quarterback,
for the offense, and for what I need opposite of CD.
This is to me, the guy that you fit into
that mold. You can play him inside, you can play
him outside. You can put him in motion, you can
play him, you know, out of the back of six
foot one, I think he's six foot one, six foot one,

(31:37):
two hundred and eight nine pounds. I got b roll
if you see him, Oh, you can put some b
roll up there. There, you go back there getting ready
for the drag.

Speaker 12 (31:47):
Back there for us a lot, I mean, Chris Wall
you told a big back then there is yeah.

Speaker 7 (31:54):
Like oh and he tracks the ball really well. And
the biggest thing that a lot of like why is
he he? You know, why wasn't he the premier guy
in the premier Well you gotta understand who we also
play with. And that's why I think he will fit
so perfectly in that robin role to Batman because all
he played around was a bunch of Batman's. He played
around Marvis, Marvin Harrison Junior, he played around Garrett Smith,

(32:18):
he played around Jackson Smith and Jigba. He played around.

Speaker 13 (32:22):
Uh.

Speaker 7 (32:22):
Now that the young kid that's there. What's the kind
of kids named Jeremiah Smith? You know that they said
he ready to come out if he could come out
be a top player a freshman, And all he's done
is just been right. There has a like like two,
he has two thousand plus yard seasons. He's just to me,
he just fits that role of being the Robin t

(32:44):
CD's batman and perfect for Dak Prescott because Dak Dak
plays better with the receiver that runs route and that's
the timing of it being where you're supposed to be
being there repeatedly. Uh and that understands how to sit
and waves belongs in zones. When Dak has problems, it's
when teams go and play zone against him, when they

(33:06):
drop seven and they drop eight in the covers and
he has to sift through it. Well, he doesn't trust
those other guys. He's focusing on Ceedee Lamb and what
happens is he throws the interceptions.

Speaker 3 (33:15):
You add a meccabuka to that.

Speaker 7 (33:17):
He's gonna be able to run all the routes to
change the curl routes, the end routes, the dig routes,
the over routes, the out routes, the deep curls, the
bubble screens, the slants, everything from inside from outside.

Speaker 3 (33:28):
This dude is to me is an absolute player.

Speaker 12 (33:30):
I'll tell you what man in his body language and
like he enjoyed playing football.

Speaker 7 (33:35):
And then in the run game. In the run game,
I think Hines Ward when he blocks.

Speaker 9 (33:40):
Yeah, he's dirty Steve Steve.

Speaker 6 (33:44):
Smith kind of guy.

Speaker 7 (33:45):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, he got no problem getting there
in and get physical.

Speaker 5 (33:48):
He doesn't look like he's real real quick, real fast speedster,
but he's in the right place at the right time
on every play every time.

Speaker 9 (33:55):
Yeah, we're talking run game. I mean it's what are
your thoughts on Gin? That's that's the favorite, That's what
everybody who everybody wants.

Speaker 5 (34:03):
Wait real quick before you get in that. You said,
that's what your heart want. What's your what's your head?

Speaker 4 (34:07):
Say?

Speaker 3 (34:08):
My head say go get your left tackle.

Speaker 7 (34:10):
Mhm, my head say Kelvin Banks uh from Texas. Uh,
the offensive lineman out of out of LSU. Because there's
some good ones that are gonna be there. Yeah, I
know they got the Membo kid from Missouri.

Speaker 9 (34:23):
I say that about you drafted another left tackle on
the first round.

Speaker 3 (34:28):
Well, Jerry already said it. He said it towards at
the end of the season.

Speaker 7 (34:30):
I got over my skins when I thought it was
a plug plug a guy in there and to go
and he wasn't ready.

Speaker 3 (34:34):
But now you know what, Hey, hey, young fella, here's
what you're gonna go do.

Speaker 7 (34:38):
You're gonna go learn how to play right tackle because
in the year we're gonna get rid of Terry Steele
and then now you'll you'll fill in that tackle spot
right there. And what I'll have is now going forward,
going forward, I'll have arguably the best left guard in
the National Football League. For a long time, I had
the best right guard in the National Football League and
Zach Martin. Now I'm gonna have the best left guard

(34:59):
in the National Football League and Tyler Smith, and I'm
gonna have booking tackles. I'm gonna have a first round
pick that I take this year, whether that's Banks or
Membo or or I'm going to blake on the LSU kid.

Speaker 3 (35:13):
As a Campbell.

Speaker 7 (35:15):
And then I'm gonna have hopefully that Guidon figures it out.

Speaker 3 (35:20):
And now I got a right tackle, so I got,
I got.

Speaker 7 (35:22):
Good interior play, I got I'm sorry, I got good
booking play. And then I got a good left tackle.
And now I just fill in those gaps and I
got that for the next ten years. Then we get
back to that place where the offensive line is sustained.
And now we're looking like what excuse me, we're looking
like the Lions, or we're looking like Philadelphia at the
offensive line like we used to when we had Tyrone

(35:46):
and Jack and Travis and and and Lyell and Leary
and those guys up front. I think, and now you
can take that and for the back end of Dak's
career for the next three four years, you have a
salt in the trenches offensive line and now I can's
pucking the pieces epswhere.

Speaker 6 (36:04):
You be mad about that.

Speaker 8 (36:05):
The thing is you're not gonna be successful.

Speaker 12 (36:10):
You know, I look at I look at the free
agenc they have gathered. None of those guys are gonna
take you to nine, ten eleven wins. You look at
the defensive guys who they have signed or whoever that
none of those guys. So you're already gonna be a
seven eight win team. Why not do what just is saying,
Why not take your time now.

Speaker 8 (36:31):
Rebuild and build your team.

Speaker 12 (36:33):
Just rebuild your team from the inside out. And that's
including the tackles. They that's the inside, that's the interior.
And once you get healthy there and you don't have
to be dominant at as offensive line, but you have
to be a unit of B to B plus players.
You can have your C here or maybe a C

(36:53):
plus there, but you got to have enough B plus.
You look at Detroit B plus, you look at phillyp
E plus. They may got a C somewhere, but it
ain't a line full up right now. We got a
lot of C plus players in one A player And
so now you fighting and batting every game.

Speaker 8 (37:12):
And I'm with Jesse, we got.

Speaker 3 (37:14):
Deal D O F.

Speaker 8 (37:16):
But no, no, no, The thing is this kid right
tackle now should be just a service guy. That's all
he should be. You know.

Speaker 12 (37:25):
That's why I'll give you a C A C plus
that's a service guy. You need B lineman, Guys that
have enough athletic ability with a whole lot of hell
of a toughness, with mental capabilities to think that that
can that ability to think above the shoulders can save
you as offensive lineman. That can save you if you

(37:46):
just got just that, that that C plus b athletic skill.
Whereas it may be a little bit different on the outside.
It may be a little bit different as a middle
linebacker when you got the line everybody else, but as
an offensive lineman, if you got that ocapable this with
just some toughness, and you can just get your feet moving.
You can play a long time and you can be productive.

(38:08):
I suggest that some good stuff justin Let's take a
break and get back to Kurt's question, what was that?
Would we be mad if they took gent twelve?

Speaker 6 (38:16):
If he's there when we come.

Speaker 8 (38:17):
Back, Yeah, we would.

Speaker 6 (38:20):
Find out why when we turned nagging with the boys.

Welcome back to the final segment of Hanging with the Boys,
brought you each and every show by Jigsaw, the proud
daddy partner of the Dallas Cowboys. All right, got a
little bit of draft thought. Would you be mad Nates?
Nate's mad if they take genty at twelve?

Speaker 6 (40:45):
Why Nate?

Speaker 12 (40:46):
I would be mad if we get genty and uh
And I know people may say, hey, you go with
the asinine again. I would be mad if you get
genty and he ain't six percent of your.

Speaker 8 (41:00):
Offense sixty sixty sixty percent.

Speaker 12 (41:05):
That means he's running it a minimum of twenty times
of games and he's being thrown at at least seven
to eight times a game. If you're not gonna use him,
I mean an abuse him. Do not bring him up
in him because you got eighteen other guys. You know,
I'm sign out one hundred and eight guys, and I

(41:26):
know we signed number.

Speaker 8 (41:27):
One on one and number eighty five. He used them. Guys.
You know what I'm saying. You ain't got to come
up off no extra money. You get what I'm saying.

Speaker 12 (41:35):
If you're not gonna use him, do not get don't
bring him up in here. Nah, don't bring him up
in here.

Speaker 9 (41:41):
About your Kurt, I keep going back and forth. I mean,
he obviously has great talent, but I do worry that
you can get good running backs in later rounds, and
so if they need to build elsewhere the.

Speaker 8 (41:53):
Fourth like Bucky Irvin nice, Oh he's a fourth round pick.

Speaker 3 (41:57):
Unfortunately, we don't have one of those.

Speaker 6 (41:58):
Issue or interesting? They have so many How many picks
do they have?

Speaker 9 (42:03):
Ten?

Speaker 6 (42:04):
Ten picks now?

Speaker 8 (42:05):
And what five of them?

Speaker 7 (42:06):
Three picks three three three, three compensitories.

Speaker 9 (42:12):
Three compensentories. Well yeah, yeah, and they traded, yeah, they
sweaked around. They have three picks in the top one
hundred ten picks overall. So so to be busy on day.

Speaker 6 (42:22):
Three, how many quality picks do they have?

Speaker 5 (42:25):
Three?

Speaker 6 (42:25):
Three?

Speaker 5 (42:26):
And you need defensive line help, you need offensive line help.
You need a wide receiver, you need a corner and
a running back. Are they going to stand padded running
back line?

Speaker 3 (42:37):
Okay, you're kind of good at linebacker, kind of.

Speaker 9 (42:39):
I mean you could use one stand padded running back.

Speaker 3 (42:43):
I mean they got to get somebody.

Speaker 5 (42:45):
I'm talking about with a quality pick one of those
three picks, or are you gonna I would argue you
guys said offensive line to me, you got to get
offensive linemen in one of those three picks.

Speaker 9 (42:57):
How them have a corner above offensive line?

Speaker 5 (43:00):
Corner offensive line of receiver would be probably where I
would go.

Speaker 6 (43:04):
I mean, what are you gonna do with receiver?

Speaker 9 (43:06):
Well, you do have one stud, so one one?

Speaker 6 (43:10):
What you got behind him?

Speaker 9 (43:12):
Well, I mean, what do you got a corner? You
got a guy coming back from injury? God got veteran
and bland. You hope it's you know you can do it.
You should be good.

Speaker 3 (43:24):
You got one.

Speaker 12 (43:25):
Guy, you got one guy basically at every position except
running back, you got zero guys.

Speaker 3 (43:32):
Well you got two guys.

Speaker 6 (43:33):
Right, Well the US can they equal one?

Speaker 8 (43:38):
I don't.

Speaker 9 (43:38):
I think the fact that they didn't re sign dalle
for you know, he didn't go for a lot and
they got into guys are basically I mean they're definitely
getting a running back just is.

Speaker 6 (43:48):
Going to be one of those quality picks.

Speaker 8 (43:50):
Right. And the thing is, right now, no one has
a opinion.

Speaker 12 (43:57):
I mean from the head coach to the le player,
no one has a true opinion until they start up
out here.

Speaker 8 (44:06):
I mean, how they're gonna line guys.

Speaker 6 (44:08):
Up, what systems are running, what you need? And you
won't know that before the draft, right, But.

Speaker 12 (44:16):
I they need to call you know, they need to
call you in that jest, saying from this is my
heart and this is what we need.

Speaker 8 (44:24):
You know what I'm saying.

Speaker 12 (44:25):
Because if they don't, if they if they if they
mess up this first.

Speaker 7 (44:31):
Round pick this year, they can't afford to That's what
I'm saying. You will set your draft, You set your
team back. You ain't got three picks, like, you don't
have three picks, significantly if you miss in the first
round there you don't have but three picks.

Speaker 3 (44:46):
And for me, like I've openly admitted this.

Speaker 7 (44:51):
At times, I do have a smaller school bias.

Speaker 3 (44:56):
I do I do. I do.

Speaker 8 (45:01):
It come from a small school and be like better
go get your.

Speaker 3 (45:04):
Dog, And it worries me a little bit.

Speaker 7 (45:07):
I'll people going to say watch the Oregon game Washington
PennState game, and I get it. It worries me a
little bit, the tread from having to take so many
carries at the collegiate level. But also, yes, if you
if you add Genty to this team, does your team

(45:28):
become better? Yes in theory, But you add Genty to
this team, you're not equipped to maximize the talent that
he has. You know, as we sit today, you're not
equipped with adding him to this roster to maximize him.

Speaker 6 (45:45):
Right guy, wrong time.

Speaker 12 (45:48):
Because if you go get a quarterback, you have to
take a great quarterback when he's there, regardless of what
your team look like.

Speaker 8 (45:57):
But not running backs.

Speaker 12 (45:59):
You can take a great, great wide receiver regardless of
what your team is, but not at running back because.

Speaker 8 (46:06):
He needs too many people. That's what I get ready
say to make him, to help him to be what
he needed to be.

Speaker 12 (46:11):
Like just think now that we see Saquan behind a
legitimate offensive line, Think if the Giants would have just
been above averages, kould have been average like sixteen hundred
yards a year, ten touchdowns a year.

Speaker 5 (46:28):
All right, real quick, before we get out of here,
Cooper Rush gone, were upset about that?

Speaker 3 (46:35):
No, go get that money, young fellow. It was just
weird not in.

Speaker 6 (46:38):
Him, but I mean a few of the Cowboys. Would
you have held on to him?

Speaker 13 (46:43):
No?

Speaker 9 (46:43):
We never had him right, No, No, I mean we
didn't know really.

Speaker 6 (46:47):
Would you would? Would you have gone and made an
effort to keep him here because.

Speaker 5 (46:52):
He's been your or they by letting him go saying hey,
if we lose that, it doesn't you know, because in
the past he's been the bus.

Speaker 6 (46:59):
Driver he's got Yeah, he's been with the team that
you have now until the Super.

Speaker 9 (47:05):
Bowl obviously felt better about Greer.

Speaker 3 (47:11):
Yeah yeah.

Speaker 5 (47:12):
And then are you guys do you like the Fouler
coming back signing? He seemed to do what usually players
do here. They come here, they have a hell of
a season, they get paid, and they go. Somebody pays
him to go somewhere else. He went and had a
hell of a year last year with the Commanders.

Speaker 3 (47:27):
And we still didn't pay him. That's my worry. Yeah,
why not? My two worries are.

Speaker 7 (47:33):
Nobody else really wanted them, even as former coach and
his former coach didn't want him. That's that's bringing everybody
with that brought him over there, Iniould and he had
a good year over there, but ten and a half sacks.

Speaker 3 (47:46):
Ten and a half. Yeah, so he had a good
year over there.

Speaker 7 (47:47):
They didn't think enough of him to pay him over there,
which he tweeted out that he was upset about that,
and then he got nobody else wanted them, and then
he came back to the Cowboys.

Speaker 3 (47:59):
So I don't know, I don't know.

Speaker 7 (48:00):
I hope he works here, but sometimes you have to
also look at what was he able to do in
that system because he had some dogs around him. And
so now will that translate over here to the Cowboys?
We shall see. But I'm not mad at it. I'm
not mad at the sign.

Speaker 9 (48:14):
They needed it.

Speaker 3 (48:15):
They needed another one.

Speaker 8 (48:16):
Yeah, the body, what do you think I'm with him?

Speaker 12 (48:18):
I mean, I'm gonna be quiet basically until I see
what this team doing. But I will have me some
honest opinions when this thing start up again. I'm gonna
beat a little bit more tentative than I have in
the past, because I want to see people practicing. If
you're telling me that all these guys you know what
I'm saying, well, veteran day, he don't know, he don't

(48:39):
know this.

Speaker 8 (48:41):
You get what I'm saying you got C plus players
all over.

Speaker 12 (48:44):
The place, and when you're a C plus B team
you have to have everybody practice.

Speaker 8 (48:50):
You can't afford to be around here. Well we'll we'll
take care of it. When the season started. That dude
can't come on. Man, that's Jonathan Mean go unchained whatever?

Speaker 9 (48:58):
What is his name?

Speaker 3 (49:02):
Show show?

Speaker 6 (49:07):
Thank you today? That was good all right, fellas, good
scene Jesse, Nate. That's a good color on you, Nate.
I like that color on you.

Speaker 5 (49:15):
K Good seeing you, Chris, Chris, Chris, thanks for holding
it down in the bag, Josh, thanks for keeping the company.

Speaker 6 (49:22):
Jazz, I don't know where you are. We miss you.

Speaker 8 (49:24):
Yes, if she's going to Vegas next week.

Speaker 6 (49:26):
Spring break is over next week.

Speaker 5 (49:28):
We will be back next Thursday, same time, same place.

Speaker 6 (49:31):
Hanging with the boys wet.

Speaker 1 (49:34):
This has been a production of Dallascowboys dot Com and
