1957 erschien das Buch über die „Nasenschreitlinge“ oder „Naslinge“ (Rhinogradentia). Herausgeber war Prof. Harald Stümpke, der damit die Forschungsergebnisse des schwedischen Biologen Einar Petterson-Skämtwist veröffentlichte.
Skämtwist hatte die Naslinge bereits 1941 auf der Flucht aus japanischer Kriegsgefangenschaft auf der pazifischen Inselgruppe Hi-Iay-Islands entdeckt.
Nur dort kam diese Tierart vor. Ein missglückter Atomwaffentest führte 1945 zum Untergang der Inselgruppe, der Naslinge und aller weiteren Forschungsergebnisse.
