Speaker 1 (00:30):
Good afternoon. It's a Victoria Van with the Vanguard Show,
and today I have an amazing guest. All right, let
me kind of twist this around because I need you
to be able to see him too. So you gotta
get in there with me. Okay, squeeze in there with me.
You're comfortable, Get comfortable, okay.
Speaker 2 (00:49):
All right.
Speaker 1 (00:50):
So we have an amazing guest, the Apostle, and this
man is going to talk about the his Love is
Amazing movement. So you see we rocking these shirts over here.
So he's gonna talk more about that. He's gonna talk
about his movement and why it's so important that we
(01:11):
all jump on board with it. After I heard what
he was doing across the nation, I thought it was
like imperative that he come on the Van Guard Show
because we're all about the community and we're all about
making sure that we collaborate and that we're unified, and
I needed him to really show some love in the
situation that we're in, in the environment that we're in
(01:33):
right now, we need a love movement and we need
to know more about his amazing love.
Speaker 2 (01:40):
So before I get into that really quickly, this man
is an artist. He's a father that I just met
his wonderful daughter.
Speaker 1 (01:49):
You know, she looks she's podcast ready. You hear me,
she was ready to go. She could have took over
the show and probably would have killed it for me,
you know what I mean.
Speaker 2 (01:58):
I could have probably went back home.
Speaker 1 (02:00):
You know he's a singer, right, Uh, he's a community leader, activist.
Speaker 2 (02:07):
This this man, I don't know when he sleeps.
Speaker 1 (02:10):
So but nevertheless, I'm glad, you know, I was able
to catch him before he goes back home. So without
further ado, I'm gonna go ahead. We're gonna jump into
some questions really quickly, and I'm gonna start with my
shady question slash comment, because last night he was here
in concert and I believe he opened up for Fantation.
Speaker 2 (02:33):
And Anthony Hamilton.
Speaker 1 (02:34):
Right in the shot, right, and I live here and
I don't remember getting the ticket, but what had happened
was but his love is amazing. So and you know,
because I work in forgiveness, you know, because I work
in forgiveness, Thank God for forgiveness.
Speaker 2 (02:59):
You know, I'm like, I'm gonna I'm gonna forgive.
Speaker 1 (03:01):
You despite the not having me and on you know,
hearing them in concert.
Speaker 2 (03:07):
But I still want him to come on this show.
Speaker 1 (03:10):
But what I want him to do is also since
I didn't get a chance to hear him, maybe he could,
you know, do a little you know, one two vocals
up in here for us.
Speaker 2 (03:19):
You know, maybe we get a little exclusive for the
Vanguard Show.
Speaker 1 (03:24):
So without further ado, let's just go ahead and jump
into it. I'm really trying to work out this whole
phone situation here because I need you to be able
to see me, and that ain't working.
Speaker 3 (03:37):
So that's that.
Speaker 2 (03:41):
So you just get up, all right, it's all.
Speaker 3 (03:47):
First of all, thank you so much Vanguard Show for
having us on here. Look, you came in I wish
spot the other day at the Chicago Chicken.
Speaker 1 (03:55):
Shack shut out to Trevor, Chicken Shack and Broad you
make sure you go and support that. The food is amazing,
customer service is awesome. I'm trying to tell you will
be hooked one chicken wing. You sold out, It's what.
Speaker 2 (04:13):
And he's eating without me too. I don't even know
why he's still on my show. I'm trying to tell you,
I think I'm.
Speaker 1 (04:18):
One getting played over here, all in my face, laying
in my face.
Speaker 3 (04:22):
Trevor Black, He's been a great host, been here for
the last three days. I'm from Louisiana.
Speaker 1 (04:28):
Bat rouge exactly what they say, baby say, don't do
it like that. You can't's from there. I'm saying it
anyway from Louisiana.
Speaker 2 (04:42):
Ahead in the house, you.
Speaker 3 (04:45):
Guys have been such great and amazing hosts as we
tackled a new territory. You know, it's always a little
intimidating to bring the goodness of God into different regions.
But I tell you, between you and Trevor and some
of the of the trustees and business owners, you guys
have been great. So from the bottom of my heart,
thank y'all for being such amazing hosts here in the
(05:09):
Chicago area.
Speaker 1 (05:10):
Shout out to Judy Miller, who is a trustee in
broad View as well. She was on board with it
and one hundred percent supported. So we want to make
sure we always get shouts out to the folks who are,
you know, supporting the whole movement and then just down
for the cause from from day.
Speaker 3 (05:26):
One, you know, and leadership is everything. So seeing you
guys operating a level of leadership that you do that
blessed me as well. So again, shout out to Judy
and I believe it was.
Speaker 1 (05:36):
Ray Ray Ray Williams, Trusty out of Maywood shout out
to so you know, proviso come through for for for folks,
you know what I mean. So we had west Chester
representing yesterday. Was that yesterday before yes the day before yesterday? Yeah,
because I didn't go to the concert the day before yesterday,
and we had Brovview and Maywood. So we were all
(06:00):
in there supporting this amazing cause.
Speaker 2 (06:02):
So go ahead, get at it. Tell me about this cause.
Speaker 3 (06:05):
So we started to calls in Louisiana Batchem Rouge when
I filmed the first video and made the first song.
So let me make a correction. I'm a hip hop artist,
That's what I do. And we bought Anthony Hamilton in
three years into the movement and he remixed the song
for us. So now we're taking it all over the
nation thanks to his level of influence. What's the song amazing?
Speaker 2 (06:27):
So it's amazing, it's just called amazing, Amazing. What's the
song about?
Speaker 3 (06:31):
It's all about the amazing love of God and how
sometimes we get away from the fact that if it
wasn't for Him loving us first, we wouldn't love him,
And this movement is not about how much we love him.
I hope that you do love God. I hope he's
first in your life. I hope that you're paying your
ties and offering. I hope you're reading your Bible. I
hope all of that. But this movement is not about that.
(06:52):
It's about how much He loved us, even in our
state of seeing love us, even before we made the
first effort to even get to know him, he loved us.
And we're trying to spread that message, especially to our children,
so that we can have a generation that grows up
knowing that they love that they all loved, and knowing
how to forgive each other for not feeling like we're
loving each other propertly.
Speaker 2 (07:13):
You know what.
Speaker 1 (07:14):
And I'm glad that you brung up our youth because
you are a hip hop artist and you're so relatable
and right now, what we need is more young men
like you to be that representative to our youth, you
know what I mean, so that you can have you
can relate to them, you can vibe with them, you
(07:36):
can talk about God, you can talk about the importance
of it and have them join into the movement. Because
to be honest, sometimes that youth be like, I love God,
but the way y'all coming.
Speaker 2 (07:46):
At me is corny. You know what I mean? Is
why I can get with that, you know, you know
what I mean.
Speaker 1 (07:53):
So sometimes when we're trying to do the right thing
by bringing our youth closer to God, we do it
the wrong way. And so tell me some of the
things that you're doing that you found success with, like
really kind of grasping to the youth and connecting with
the youth.
Speaker 3 (08:08):
So the honest truth is we didn't go out the
right or wrong. We didn't go out the methodology. We
just went out the foundation. And the foundation is God's
love for us. I think that even Maddie, you know,
my daughter we just called in. You know, she's three
years old. So you think about a child understanding how
much they're loved. When they understand how much they loved,
(08:32):
they walk in a different level of authority. She didn't
care who I was in here with, right, she didn't
care off us on the podcast. She just wants out
to Daddy. Yeah, when you realize how much God loves you,
you stopped complaining about who doesn't because his love for
you is so consistent. It's so powerful, and it begins
to cause you to walk in confidence that no one
on the planet Earth can give you but Him. And
(08:53):
so we just went back down to the basics and
we approach it from that way. And that way it
allows us to meet our children where they are. I
don't care what kind of drugs in. I don't care
what kind of alcohol You don't care what kind of
sin or love you in. God loves you. And when
we're able to meet them there, then that door opens
up for more dialogue. But that's the starting point.
Speaker 1 (09:14):
Is there any particular story that you want to share
that where you really had that breakthrough with someone, whether
it was the you for otherwise, where it inspired you.
And that's when you realize this movement is not only real,
but it's actually changing generations. Because this movement is changing generations,
you're playing seeds.
Speaker 2 (09:34):
In fertile ground, you know what I mean.
Speaker 1 (09:36):
And so when you're playing no season fertile ground, you're
watering it constantly with the word and with this movement.
Speaker 2 (09:43):
And you're an apostle. So apostles are formed.
Speaker 1 (09:46):
To build, they establish, you know, they build the church,
they establish the church. The church is not in the
four walls. It's in us, and it's what we're doing.
Speaker 2 (09:55):
This is church. It's amazing movement. We are the church.
Speaker 1 (09:59):
So as an apostle, which is different from the evangelists,
which is different from all the other callings, you got
another layer of calling on you and and another layer.
Speaker 2 (10:12):
Of warfare, which we're going to talk about that goodness.
Speaker 1 (10:15):
And so you know that's good because now you got
me on that, because now I've got two questions your
full armor of God, like, tell me more about that.
Speaker 2 (10:24):
We're gonna hold that.
Speaker 1 (10:25):
But then also going back when we're talking about how
you're impacting generations as an apostle, and with this movement
that you got, it's very similar to you know how
Christ did it, how the disciples did it. They said,
go to all the foundations of the earth, go everywhere
you know what I mean, and preach the gospel. No, no,
you go to them and you and then the apostles
(10:46):
are those who establish in different areas. So that's what
you're doing here, right, And so that's what the spirit
of the Holy spirits talking to me.
Speaker 3 (10:53):
Three years.
Speaker 2 (11:01):
I'm furlough too, no.
Speaker 1 (11:05):
Saying it's real, but tell me give us an example,
or tell us share a story you know of how
you were moved by you know, the impact you made
on someone else during this whole movement.
Speaker 3 (11:19):
I would like to rewind a little bit as I
get the story ready, because you said so much, and
I want to honor you for saying the word seed.
You said the word seed. Many people don't value and
appreciate seed. Okay, they want the oak tree mm hm,
but they walk over the acorn, not knowing that that
small acorn is what the oak tree comes out.
Speaker 1 (11:41):
Come on.
Speaker 3 (11:41):
Now, why are we walking over our children because they're acorn, Oh,
that's good, not realizing that one day they are the
oak trees that's going to establish our community, that's gonna
run our country, that's gonna run our churches, that's gonna
run our schools. But we're walking over them in their
seed form, not giving them their attention to nourishment and
(12:02):
cultivating that they need because of where they are or
what they're in. When I saw that, I saw it
through their eargate. Hip hop music is a very cultural
I grew up on it, but unfortunately there are some
mixed messages that pervert the understanding of our kids. Mixed
(12:24):
messages that deteriorate the hope of our kids, because sometimes
we're parading the hardships that we in more than giving
answers on how to get out of them. And I
respect talking about the hardships. I came out of the hardships.
I grew up in the hood and in the ghetto,
but I always had a pair of parents that taught
(12:44):
me how to get out of it. They would expose
us to other things even though we lived in the hood.
They would take us riding around on Sundays and nice
neighborhoods and show us where we're gonna live at once.
Speaker 2 (12:54):
See, that's what I'm like, call those things that being
as though they.
Speaker 3 (12:56):
Were exposures everything. And so when God showed me that,
I begin to see how important hip hop was. I
was pastor through for sixteen years and I came out
of the pool pit and began to use rap music,
hip hop music to reach out kids for Christ because
hip hop is a nation. Yeah, after costles are called
to nation. That's right. And God woke me up one
morning about seventeen years ago and told me that he
(13:18):
is going to restore me back to my first love.
And I was like, wait, I love Christ, I love God.
What was wrong? You know? He said, no, your first
love was music. And the first time I got in
the pool pit vanguard was when my mother died. And
you want to talk about the story. My father died
when I was fourteen. My mother died when I was
twenty three. So by the time I was twenty three
and living a life I was living and my mother died.
(13:40):
It was so tragic on me. I felt like it
was the end of everything. I had just had my
first daughter at that point, and I didn't know where
to turn. God brought me to a rock bottom place.
But after that, through that, I accepted Christ as both
Lord and Savior turned my life around. And when I
wrote a song about her. At the time, I was
(14:01):
doing hip hop music majorly in my city, and I
wrote a song about her. It went viral on the
radio and took off and a local church calls me,
And at that point I didn't know Christ. They called
me and say, look, we love your song to your mother.
Mother's days coming up. When you come and do a
tribute in our church for mothers, I'm like, you want me?
I'm a devil, you don't want me and your church
(14:23):
singing no song. Now, the song was clean, but me myself,
I wasn't. And I say, okay, all right, I'm coming,
and literally did I know it was a setup by God?
I rapped that song in that pool pit. I became
a member of that church that same year, accepted my
calling to preach. The following year, I became assistant pastor
at that church for eight years, baptized both of my
(14:45):
daughters at the time at that very ministry, and God
reminded me, now, on did you feel like you all
wrapped up in the church. Remember the first time you
came there was rap music, m M. And he brought
me back sixteen years later to West and here I
am now using that vehicle of rap music to save
lives of over and to give you two examples of
(15:07):
how I know it's effective. He called me to be
the apostle of hip hop. Oh, and I'm declaring that
I believe it. He's shown me that I'm beginning to
get a lot of respect in that area now because
I come in offering gifts for one nothing beloved, not
trying to scheme, not trying to get you to go
(15:27):
to church. I'm just trying to love on you and
it has gotten a response out of this world. People
like Anthony Hamilton, Miguel newtonairs, oh more good. And in
the celebrity business, NBA players, they're respecting what we're doing
through music. And so as the apostle of hip hop,
I go to schools, I bring them to NBA games,
things of that nature. And I partnered with the NFL
and one young man came and we did a shopping
(15:49):
spree for this school. One hundred and fifty kids bought
new shoes and socks and book sacks. And this young
man was at the store with us. We talked about
the amazing love of God. He accepted Christ It's both
Lord and Savior during that shopping spree. Two weeks later,
that was right before Christmas. The morning of Christmas, he
had a seizure and died. Oh his grandmother he was
(16:11):
living with at the time, call me up. She said, listen,
I hate this moment, but I'm gonna tell you for
the last two weeks all my grandson was talk about
was them tennis shoes y'all bought him and he wouldn't
take that T shirt off. She say, if you don't
mind the pause, I want to bury him. In that
amazing Love of God T shirt and I want you
to come speak at this funeral my God. I did
(16:32):
on his funeral program, you will see him in his
amazing T shirt. And that was a two week span
between the time that this young man passed away and
the time he accepted christis Lord. To say it, Oh,
I know that this movement is real. I know that
what God is doing is real, and I don't take
it for granted. When I come to places like Chicago
(16:52):
and meet people like you, I take full advantage not
of the airways, not of the media, but full advantage
of a listening eargate. Yeah, because if we can hear
what God is expecting us to do and the result,
they'll we'll do it more often. So we're planning to
see youse exactly. And people don't always appreciate those seeds
because they want the oak tree. But we're planning those
(17:13):
seeds knowing that one day, if people like you come
and water, and people like Judy and people like Trevor
come back and water, we're gonna see them change like
never before.
Speaker 2 (17:27):
You listen here. Let me tell you something real quick though.
Speaker 1 (17:31):
You ain't gonna get me emotional like that but I
don't know that I'm gonna tissue around.
Speaker 3 (17:37):
Atlanta, Scott so.
Speaker 2 (17:40):
But that, I mean, like that is so impactful and.
Speaker 1 (17:46):
It really hit home because as a mother, you know,
I really really everyone knows I go hard for my son,
Like everybody know, I'm one hundred grand in and you know,
he's got dreams of being in the NFL, and you
know he's he loves God, you know, he walks with
God and all those.
Speaker 2 (18:04):
Things, and he's just such a humble kid. And then
justin bug.
Speaker 1 (18:14):
But to hear that story about that young man, it
just touched me because we take for granted, you know, life,
and we take for granted the time that we got.
Speaker 2 (18:27):
And to know that you and Pat had you not
listen to God.
Speaker 3 (18:32):
Hey, every time I think about that story, I think
about that, and that's why I make haste to do
what I do now. That's why I'm jumping in and
off planes to do what I do now. See, I
saw something on social media this morning, and I'm not
going to talk about it, but this crew is literally
admitting to a murder on video, Oh my god, on video,
admitting to it. And when I see stuff like that,
(18:52):
I'm burdened like, what could I have done last week
to help them in situation? Where could I have been?
Which concert could I have been at? Backstage? I could
have I've been in stages and backstage where the weed
smoke is blowing in my face and all of that's
going on. And then after the show, they're coming to
me for prayer. After the show, they're saying, look, man,
I want to live better. I want to do better
rappers that I can name right now. God has given
(19:13):
me me favor with the counsel to you can teach
you how to be better fathers. All because I didn't
expect them to come to my church, but I am
now going to them through the vehicle of hip hop music.
Speaker 2 (19:26):
Wow, you know? And that's the hip hop is such
a strong vehicle it is.
Speaker 1 (19:35):
It's a strong The culture is strong, right. It arguably
relates back to our ancestors. When we talk about the drums,
we talk about the tables, and we talk about how
the beats are made.
Speaker 2 (19:51):
Hip hop is a culture and a church within itself.
Speaker 3 (19:54):
Right.
Speaker 1 (19:55):
But going back to the fact that you were are
able to answer the call when God called you had
you not been able and you said not Today, I'm
gonna do that tomorrow, you know not. I'm gonna go ahead,
and I'm gonna go to that church next week.
Speaker 2 (20:15):
I'm good. I ain't gonna do that. And you had
not answered the call.
Speaker 1 (20:19):
Because we're vessels, we got free will, right, So God says,
I want you. I pray that you choose life. But
you got free will will and the fact that you
chose life. And because you did that, that little boy
who passed away, had he not accepted Christ, and had
(20:39):
you not been there, what would internal eternity might have
looked like?
Speaker 2 (20:45):
You get what I'm saying.
Speaker 1 (20:46):
And so that's what that's going back full circle about
the seeds. You know what I mean that your planet
and how you're apostle, how important this role is and
it's gonna be.
Speaker 3 (20:57):
He might have came across the pastor before, but.
Speaker 1 (20:59):
Not like you.
Speaker 3 (21:01):
I just cannot like you.
Speaker 1 (21:02):
Not like you, because he needed the ministry that you
were bringing, My God, And that goes right.
Speaker 2 (21:08):
Back to what I was saying earlier. How are we touching?
Speaker 1 (21:10):
How are you touching the youth in such a way
that you're bringing them in and you're you're sharing that
and that's what you're doing, right, No, you don't have
a skilled playbook like I'm gonna do this today.
Speaker 3 (21:21):
I'm gonna do this.
Speaker 2 (21:22):
No, you're being led by the Holy Spirit, and I like.
Speaker 1 (21:25):
It right now.
Speaker 3 (21:25):
If you don't mind on your show, can I do
this right?
Speaker 2 (21:27):
What you're gonna do?
Speaker 3 (21:28):
I want to say to parents who might be watching,
I see your different comments. Right now, we got three shirts, right,
three shirts. First parent that puts their child name and
the link. If you're a parent, put your child name
in a link, just like she just said, Justin wants
to be a football player, right, you know, put your
child on a link what they're dreaming of being, because
they're not going to be able to make the fullness
of their life until you plant the foundational love of
(21:51):
God in their heart.
Speaker 2 (21:53):
That's dope. Check this out.
Speaker 1 (21:56):
In addition to that, I'm gonna like, let you all,
We're gonna open up the line and if you all
want to call in and speak to the apostle, we
gonna do that as well. So the number is seven
zero eight two two three eight nine five three seven
zero eight two two three eight nine five three.
Speaker 2 (22:15):
Now I'm gonna go back to my point, but.
Speaker 1 (22:18):
Really quick shout out to Lorenzo, I don't have my
glasses on, so look, look, I took him off trying
to be Look. I was like, they're trying to be
cute up here. Talk to the glasses off and now
I can't see. So shout out to Shila, Shout out
to Lorenzo. Thank you so much for watching. I appreciate
you all. Lorenzo. I want to say that I don't
(22:39):
know if you heard me, but I tuned into your
service today. Lorenzo, so you had some good word about that,
you know, sheltering there, Yes, sheltering in or relocating. I
was there when I was watching while my son was
practicing football.
Speaker 2 (22:55):
I was watching.
Speaker 3 (22:56):
Me wants to be a pro ball player in social world.
Speaker 2 (23:00):
All right, well, Lorenzo, me me just got his shirt.
Speaker 3 (23:03):
We got a shirt for you.
Speaker 2 (23:05):
His amazing love.
Speaker 3 (23:06):
So his love is what amazing word?
Speaker 1 (23:12):
Please get Maddi any fun. Matter of fact, MADDI gonna
close the show out. So if anybody wants to call
in again, the number is seven zero eight two two
three eight nine five three. All right, God bless you too,
Lorenzo always you know how we do. Shout out to Lorenzo.
He is the director of youth services for Proviso Township.
(23:34):
A wonderful man of God and he is all about,
you know, working with the youth and spreading the word.
And he's also a pastor to uh SO spreading the
Word of God and showing love through his actions. So congratulations,
shout out yep, so Lorenzo telling people about this show,
because this, this whole movement right here is an outreach
(23:56):
movement and this is a calling. So and people need
to hear the apostle. They need to hear about what
he's doing, and especially our youth. Now we're going to
transition a little bit because what we did talk about
was spiritual warfare. We talked about that very briefly, and
I want to make sure we go back to that.
So talk to me more about that, because you actually
(24:17):
brought up the spiritual warfare.
Speaker 3 (24:18):
Part sure idea, and unfortunately I wish it was as
simple as spiritual warfare because of warfare.
Speaker 2 (24:24):
For the people out here, what is spiritual warfare?
Speaker 1 (24:26):
Because I don't let's not talk as if they know, right,
So let's talk about spiritual warfare. Tell us what that
is and then just give us an example of what
that means to you and then if you could also
wrap that part up with an example of what spiritual
warfare might look like to some people who don't maybe
(24:47):
understand God are not there yet, and what they're going through,
what the enemy may try to do to deceive them
or accuse them. Because what Lorenzo, he is the author
of accusation. He will accuse you. You know, he can't
do nothing to you, but he'll accuse you, and he'll
get in your mind and make you think something that's
not true.
Speaker 3 (25:07):
That's right, and the biggest part about spiritual warfare is
for us to be reminded that all things. Romans eight
and twenty eight says all things work together for the
good of them that love the Lord and are called
according to his purpose. So even when the enemy falsely
accuses you, even that, as tough as it may say,
(25:28):
works together for your good man. So we got to
understand how spiritual warfare works. First of all, this we
wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against powers and principalities.
So if you and I are in disagreement about something
a warrant against each other, it's really not us, it's
really the principalities of what's at hand. That's trying to
(25:49):
stop us from getting alan. They know how if we
work together right now, we on this podcast together, even
getting closer to fit into your phone, right you know.
But the enemy cause the vision and have me argetting, fussing,
and you are getting fussing with me. Well, now this
show doesn't happen. Co Lorenzo doesn't get blessed. That's right.
Other thousands of parents are gonna see the rebroadcasting of
(26:10):
this not gonna be blessed. Right, So principality is working
that fashion. They don't try to come against you and me.
It comes against the assignment that we have. So I'll
give you a really good example. There's a character by
the name of Joseph in the Bible. Joseph brother brothers
threw him in the pit. Okay, he was his father's favorite.
(26:33):
Oh Joseph, Yeah, threw him in the pit, ended up
selling them into slavery. They were gonna kill him, but
they said, instead of killing, we're gonna sell him. Tell
daddy he did, and we were rid of Joseph in
all that favor that he got with Daddy. Okay, they
thinking that the favor was with their earthly father. But
Joseph favor was with his heavenly father because even though
(26:54):
they sold him into slavery, he gets into slavery, and
his owner loved him so much because he was a
good steward, he was a great manager over all that
he gave him. But the wife wanted Joseph, Joseph didn't
want her, so she lies on Joseph saying that he
came on to it when he did not. The husband
then gets him thrown into prison for being falsely accused.
Speaker 2 (27:20):
And that's relatable today.
Speaker 3 (27:22):
Come on, Come on. And years later, a few years later,
he is in prison, he's interpreting dreams and still doing
the work. Still got a smile on his face.
Speaker 2 (27:33):
While he's serving time.
Speaker 3 (27:34):
While he's serving time, he knew who he was and
what he was called to do. He was doing it
even in prison. And that's the word for somebody just
right there. No matter what state you're in, come, I
still have to work the gift that God gave you.
He may be testing you to see that the only
time you're going to use your gift is when things
are going good. No, I need you to use it
even when you're locked up, even when you're behind her,
(27:56):
even when you're depressed, Yes, you get divorced. Even when
cancer rin everybody will you be on the table getting
chemo right, still giving God the glory. Amen, you have
to And Joseph teaches us that. And so what happens
is Pharaoh, the king of all Egypt, says I got
a dream that needs to be interpreted. Who gonna do it?
(28:16):
He said, I know somebody who was in prison with me,
and this boy was good. How do they know he
was good because he was doing it even while he
was in prison. Pharaoh say go get him. He pulls
him out. He interprets pharaoh dream. Long story short, he
becomes a second in charge of all the nation of Egypt.
I'm telling you that spiritual warfare. No matter how debaucher
(28:39):
area may become, you have to know that all things
work together for your good. And that's how it happens
by you going through the mud. You can't avoid the mud,
but know that when God brings you out on the
other side, it's gonna cause you to blossom for His
glory and his glory alone. So I've seen that happen.
We are taking this to you shirt now and hopefully
(29:02):
making it January first, here in the city of Chicago.
We'll have the amazing love of God. They officially proclaimed
on January first of every year, which is when we
wear these T shirts as a symbolism of love and forgiveness.
The proceeds go towards helping our youth. We demonstrate the
amazing love of God to them. And so I've experienced
(29:22):
a lot of warfare just trying to penetrate that political arena,
that governmental arena. But it's my assignment, says every niche
of bow, every tongue shall confess that Jesus Christ is
Lord Lord. So I'm making roll call right now. Okay,
you mean when we were in school, Scott, you gotta say, President,
(29:43):
you gotta you gotta.
Speaker 2 (29:44):
Know you there when we say His love is amazing.
Speaker 3 (29:48):
That that car Jay. First, we make the roll call
not only with the community, but with the cities as
a whole. You get your city signed the proclamation to
say we're present. We might not have all the right laws,
we might not have all the right cops, we might
not have all the right legislature, but we believe that
(30:10):
God's love is amazing in our city. And difference.
Speaker 2 (30:13):
Amen. Amen.
Speaker 1 (30:14):
So, and that's why you led right into because someone
as you start talking more about the movement, and so
one of the ways that I would like to help,
you know, as the trustee for the Village of Westchester,
I definitely want a proclamation to be you know, signed
in the Village of Westchester, and I definitely will be
presenting it to the board for you know, yeah, you know,
(30:38):
so they could get behind the rally behind something very positive.
It's something that is going to be you know, nationwide
that's changing lives, and it's so important for our communities
now to rally around you know, God's love. And you know,
whatever your belief systems is or is not not getting
into that. But the bottom line is a rally around
(31:00):
the love of God, rally around something positive, right, and
that and that's so important right now in this time.
Speaker 3 (31:09):
And so.
Speaker 2 (31:11):
Tell me something because we we're talking about.
Speaker 1 (31:15):
This whole movement, right and I keep saying the movement
because it is a movement, and I think this is
your life work, you know, So tell me tell me
about more about this, right because now we got people
that are wanting to know more. We're about to give
these shirts away. Also, let me also say this really quickly.
(31:36):
We got three shirts to give away, So even if
you you know, don't. Hey, Melanie Winston from a Living
Word Christian said, Hey, that's my church. So shout out
to Melanie and shout out to Living Fresh Supermarket over there.
Please go and support black owned grocery store in Forest Park.
(31:58):
I always got to make sure I give my shots
out to people. But listen, I got three shirts to
give away, So you got two ways of getting this shirts.
Number One, you could just DM me and I'll make
sure I get you this shirt. I only got three, Okay,
because you only gave me three, I'm gonna get some
more though. Or or you could drop either your your
(32:23):
child's name, your nephew, your nieces, a youth that you
think that would love this shirt, drop their name and
the comments. Apostle came up with that and I'm rolling
with that, and we'll make sure we get a shirt
to whomever's name that you dropped in there. Hey girl, Hey,
I see you, Melody, So listen, talk to me more
(32:43):
about this this movement, and then I want you to
tell people out there how they could get involved and
support you. And then when you're coming back to Chicago,
right and so.
Speaker 2 (32:55):
And when you come back.
Speaker 3 (32:57):
Let me say, looking for a house.
Speaker 1 (33:00):
I'm a relative too, So come again, uh, Victoria vent
for all your real estate needs.
Speaker 3 (33:07):
You know at.
Speaker 2 (33:11):
I'm just saying, twenty years in the game. I'm just
letting you know.
Speaker 1 (33:16):
I have a wonderful sense of humor, but I'm very
serious when it comes to real estate. So if you're
serious about it, and that's for everybody out there looking
for a home, commercial yeah, commercial right, plug right, because
you got to promote yourself because who else can do it?
Speaker 2 (33:33):
Apostle, I'm just come on with it because I'm gonna
do it.
Speaker 3 (33:37):
If you don't take it serious.
Speaker 2 (33:38):
They won't, I mean will day at all.
Speaker 3 (33:42):
So take this movement serious, because we do. We take
it serious.
Speaker 1 (33:46):
This guy, look, I'm gonna have him back just to
be my co host for now. It's The Vanguard Show
Part two.
Speaker 3 (33:53):
I'm with it.
Speaker 1 (33:55):
Maddie Part three. So Maddie is his daughter. So just case, y'all,
I don't know you missed earlier.
Speaker 2 (34:01):
Maddie came in and she killed the game.
Speaker 1 (34:02):
She was like, you know, his love is amazing, like
right on point, just excited to talk to her dad.
Adam wants to be a pro ball player and express
interest in going to going to real estate. Okay, well
you got to for one. So Adam's gonna get a
shirt and then I can talk to him definitely about
(34:23):
real estate.
Speaker 3 (34:24):
So I got you. We need to know what all
kids desire to be exactly, and I understand that God
put it there. I was teaching this story, if you will,
about the knife and the butter knife and the school
driver butter knife and the school drive, and the kids
loved it because they understood it. And I told him
how the butter knife ended up down in the garage,
(34:45):
out of the kitchen in the garage, and the owner
of the garage began to use the butter knife as
a school driver, even though it could screw the screw
it wasn't meant to be a school drive. When they
finally found his place back in the kitchen and begin
to we used to spread butter, it couldn't accept it
because it had been so mistreated at being a school driver.
(35:08):
It was hard to accept. I believe our children are
being used for things that they're not meant to be usful,
you got that right, And because they've been used for
things that they're not being used for. When we begin
to talk about the amazing level of God. It's hard
for them to understand, Oh, really, I'm made for this,
I'm wonderfully made, I'm beautifully made. Yeah, my uncle didn't
tell me that, my auntie didn't tell me that, my
(35:30):
mom didn't tell me that. And so the story of
the butter knife and the school driver is dear to
my heart because I want our kids to know what
they're created to do. Just because somebody can use you
for it doesn't mean God made you.
Speaker 1 (35:43):
For And that that goes back to your testimony about
you know, if we're connecting the dots, that's full circle,
because you can't. You got in this game not because
you were past a kid or not because you were
raising the church. You were out there being used for
all the reasons and was loving it. And then you
(36:04):
answered the call and then you did not turn back.
So let's talk about that not turning back with this movement.
Speaker 3 (36:11):
Okay, okay, because.
Speaker 1 (36:12):
One thing is one thing is for you to inspire folks,
to get people involved in it, to get proclamations signed,
to go across the nation, to minister to hip hop artists,
to open up in Tasia and all those things.
Speaker 2 (36:26):
That's great. To do all of those things, but it's
another thing.
Speaker 1 (36:30):
To talk about more about this whole movement and sustainability
of the movement.
Speaker 3 (36:37):
That's good. You got to pick your phone while I'm
saying it, because this is dear to me, like you're
in my lane now right. One of the things we
have to understand about the love of God van God,
is that there's a power that comes with his love.
And those of you may be listening or watching this rebroadcast,
I want to say this, there's nothing like the power
(36:58):
of love. Now. I can give you a ten step program,
I can give you a booklet on how to correct
your life and how to get back on track. But
nine times out of ten, if we're doing it in
our human acumen, we're going to backslide. We're going to
fall back into what we were in before. But the
power of the love of God is different than our
(37:20):
ten step programs. The power of the love of God
he knows who we are and what He made us for,
and so his love is compassion. But his love is
also correction. And sometimes we don't give God the grace
to correct us. But through his love, any parents who
love you, they gonna correct you. The Bible says spare
(37:41):
the rod, spoil the child. And so when a parent
loves you, part of their love is correction. What I
believe so much in the love of God that I
allow him to come in my life and correct me.
And I believe those of you listening. One of the
things I can tell you from experience that if you
us God enough to correct you, he knows how to
(38:05):
make it last. He knows how to make your fruit remain.
He knows how to cause your path to remain straight,
and you never backslide, You never go back. I can't
lie to you, man, God. I never looked back after
God changed my life. I was grace never to have
a lapse. I'm not trying to sound perfect at all,
but I have never looked back to return to that
(38:28):
life again.
Speaker 1 (38:28):
So tell me about how that that that path of
not looking back, because that's hard.
Speaker 2 (38:33):
Because that's called backslider. Yes, it is so, and that's
that's that's easy to do, sure, and hard to come
back from.
Speaker 3 (38:39):
Sure.
Speaker 1 (38:40):
Right, So after you're done, after you leave and you've
gave out the shirts and you got everybody excited about it,
what's the sustainability part of that? Like, what are you
leaving behind so that they can stay on the path.
Are you directing them to a church nearby?
Speaker 2 (38:56):
Are you do you? What do you have going on
that they can follow you? Like I need?
Speaker 3 (39:00):
You know, we want.
Speaker 2 (39:01):
I want that information to be shared.
Speaker 3 (39:02):
Perfect, perfect, intangible, in the natural. We definitely have social
media to follow. We have conferences, we have seminars. I
come in and out of different cities in towns. We
offer all of that, and a big part of our
movement is to partner with churches to point people in
the direction of after receiving Christ if they in fact
(39:23):
do embrace this message. However, back to the seed that
I spoke about earlier, I believe in the power of
the seed that I plant. So when I walk away,
the Holy Ghost doesn't walk away. When I walk away,
the power of the love of God that they have
received fresh revelation of that doesn't walk away. I have
(39:45):
seen so many become transformed. The Bible says, be transformed
by the renewing of your mind. I don't think that
that is a educational thing. I don't think it is
a physical thing. I think that is an that transformation
takes place by the Holy Ghost working in us and
we have to trust the process. If you're watching this
(40:09):
rebroadcast or you're watching it even on my page, I
wish that you would just type trust the process, because
when I leave Vanguard, the spirit of God is still
at work and I have to trust that. That's why
I chose January first, because I believe that if we
proclaim Him on January first, the rest of our year
(40:29):
will be blessed. And if you proclaiming first in your life,
the rest of your life will be blessed, not because
of what you are doing, but because of what He
will be doing in you. And it's a day to
day walk that we gotta trust it, we gotta believe it,
and we got to commit ourselves to it. I also
(40:52):
say this as a as a supreme closing remark. The
power of God's love is a giant killer. You may yeah,
you may have. You may have heard about David and
how he used his slingshot to overtake Goliath, very common
(41:12):
Sunday school story. We hear it before, we've heard it before.
There shows about it now how David defeated Goliath. But
one of the things we got to understand Vanguard about
that slingshot is that The sling shot used by David
just knocked the giant down. It prevailed over the giant.
Some say he may have been dead from the rock.
(41:33):
Some say he wasn't, but we do know that the
rock knocked him down. What David shows us though, is
the second part of that. And this is what this
movement is all.
Speaker 1 (41:43):
About, because I need this to go live. Playing with
my emotions because that's the enemy.
Speaker 2 (41:47):
So we rebuked that. Look at that. Look at that.
That's what I'm talking about. I'm not playing. I'm not
hold on. I know we got it, like, we don't
have that much time, but I'm gonna have to go
ahead and do this real quick because I gotta say that,
(42:08):
because tell me that.
Speaker 1 (42:09):
So check this out. You are I lost you off
for a second. Facebook was tripping, right, I couldn't get
you on.
Speaker 3 (42:15):
We was live, we live.
Speaker 1 (42:19):
In the heart of it, I mean dropping seeds, and
all of a sudden Facebook froze. I mean, we know
what that is, right, So then I'm trying to get it.
You know, I'm trying to go ahead.
Speaker 3 (42:30):
How was it the principal?
Speaker 1 (42:31):
So I was trying to go ahead and restart it
because I needed y'all to hear this word, he's dropping
knowledge and jewels. It wouldn't restart. So okay, so then
then check this out.
Speaker 2 (42:43):
I log out.
Speaker 1 (42:44):
I said, I'm tired of this, and I said, see
the enemy trying to trying to come at me, and I.
Speaker 2 (42:48):
Said, I rebuke you in Jesus' name, and guess what
we lie? Facebook turned right back.
Speaker 3 (42:55):
So if you're watching this right now, you only watching
it because she's still strong against the it it means
attempt to shut it down. And look, I was talking
about spiritual warfare, but see it's another level to you know.
Terrorist attacks are real, that's true, and they don't abide
by the rules of engagement that we do in war. See,
war has rules of engagement. Terrorists attack don't. And when
(43:16):
you're really doing great things for the kingdom, you can
expect terrorists attacks. No rules say that, no uh sign
of it, no uh, no warning. They just fly into
your towers. Oh you wake up one day and that's it.
But that's a part of the journey. And God would
(43:37):
even use that to work together for your good. So
I'm proud of you being able to stand as strong
as you do, not just in that moment, but even
I have this show. I know what you've gone through
to continue to come here week after week and do
the work that God has called you.
Speaker 1 (43:56):
Terrrist attacks and and I mean that, and that's what
the enemy does terror in your life, you know, and
you got to push through. And what we just witness
is that when you stand in the gap and make
up the hedge, then this is what happened. So, yeah,
you tried it, but we're still here. And it's okay
(44:16):
because I think we came right on the pivotal time.
Because as we're coming up about that time, because I
know you got to catch a flight, I want to
keep them.
Speaker 2 (44:26):
I need to buy a house, like right now, bring on, Maddie.
Speaker 1 (44:31):
But you know, I know you got to go to
But before we go ahead and wrap up, I want
you to tell me more a couple of things.
Speaker 2 (44:39):
I want you to first tell me what can we
do to support this movement?
Speaker 1 (44:45):
You know? And then secondly, tell me, at the end
of the day, when we're set and they're all said
and done, what is it that you would have liked
to accomplished with all the work that you're doing.
Speaker 2 (44:58):
What's the vision that guy placed it in your heart?
Speaker 3 (45:02):
I want to answer that first, and then I'll tell
you absolutely can become a part in help, because that
part is really important. The house that you're thinking about
selling me, however beautiful it is, however as much square
foot age it is. I said this in a meeting
on Friday, No matter how beautiful it is, nobody passes
by that house. When the construction company is laying down
(45:23):
that concrete for the foundation, nobody passes by it and said, wow, honey,
look at that beautiful foundation. It's not in timeter. The
walls go up, the paint up, the garden up, and
pool and all, then oh, that's a beautiful home. But
that beautiful home stands on a foundation. And if that
foundation wasn't there, neither would that beautiful home be there.
(45:45):
So what I pray when I'm leaving this earth at
one hundred and fifteen years old? Got that one hundred
and fifteen Yeah, at one hundred and fifteen years old, exactly?
Speaker 2 (45:56):
I think that's bublical too.
Speaker 3 (45:58):
That's right. I hope that people can look back. I
can look back on my life for sure and say
I help lay a foundation in that life that they
can go off of and become the beautifully made people
that God called him to be. Without the foundation of
God's love, without the fact of Jesus Christ being Lord
and Savior, you will never be able to build an
(46:20):
effective or beautiful life for yourself. I know that I'm
a living example of that, and I want people to
understand the power of this foundational message that God's love
for them is amazing. That's all I want. And again,
you never get credit for being a foundation. Nobody gives
(46:40):
you a prize for being foundation, but you know you're there.
And I know that this movement is going to be
the foundation of millions of people across this nation for sure.
So when I go home and be with my Lord,
He's going to know that job well done. That's all
I ask for.
Speaker 2 (46:59):
Look at here, so.
Speaker 1 (47:03):
You had no idea, You ain't know what was getting
yourself on the Van Guard Show. He did not notice
getting thisseulf into Ready ready for a part two two.
But what I really want to make sure is that
people have your information, people know how to get in
contact with you, and then I really want you to
(47:27):
let us know at the very end, now do we
know what that foundation looks like?
Speaker 2 (47:32):
How can we stay connected to you? And what do
you need from us.
Speaker 3 (47:35):
Well, we have what we call the amazing four hundred.
King David was in his cave and four hundred men
who were distressed and in debt and depressed came to
him in that cave, four hundred, and then David turned
them into his mighty men of valor. I believe that's
four hundred people in this city who's fed up with
what we are seeing, fed up with the way our
(47:55):
children are, fed up with the way our laws and
legislatures are. I believe that I can get four hundred
people to help me give these shirts to our youth
all over this grape and give them away and give
them They're free, free. You cannot buy this.
Speaker 2 (48:09):
It's not asking for any type of money for this
at all.
Speaker 1 (48:13):
All this is about the movement is spreading the word
and sharing that God's love is amazing.
Speaker 3 (48:19):
And if you can't help us to spread it, you
can wear the message and become a living billboard of
God's amazing love. But if you can help us, if
you're a business, one of the things that we offer
the business this Vanguard on the sticker, we will put
your sticker there saying that this shirt was donated by
the Vanguard show because I know she gonna do ten
off top, you know, and you don't have to have
a four hundred dollars off top. You can do a
(48:41):
little bit at a time. Forty hear ten there to
help us to make sure that we're able to give
these shirts away and as you're wearing them, you become
a living testimony of how powerful giving is. Bible says
it's better to give than received. So we're not coming
looking for nothing, seeking anything, but we're hoping that you
will at least wear it and those of you who
can stand with us become a part of the Amazing
(49:03):
four hundred. You can visit us at his Love is
Amazing dot com, His Love Isamazing dot com or Amazingloveofgod
dot com, either one. We got both of them. Make
sure you can find us and you can become a
part of the Amazing four hundred. But we do have
shirts for retail if you just want to buy shirts.
We have the Anthony Hamilton Signature edition and you're able
(49:23):
to read his testimony of how good God's love has
been in his life. We definitely can retail those, but
on January first, these gray and white truck o It's
for us to wear in unison as we proclaim that
all have sin and comes short of his glory, but
his love for us is amazing.
Speaker 1 (49:40):
A man, So one more time, give me your social
handles for everybody out there.
Speaker 3 (49:45):
Yes, Martia Scott, you'll find me on Facebook. Martia Scott
is m A r DS and David I A. Scott,
se O T T or Apostle Scott on Instagram, Apostle
Scott on Instagram and again, amazing love of God, you
can find all my information there.
Speaker 2 (50:02):
Amen.
Speaker 1 (50:02):
I'm Victoria Van. Welcome and thank you again for joining
the Vanguard Show and tuning in. And I
