Today’s guest is Kristin Casey, author of the book Rock Monster: My Life with Joe Walsh as well as a surrogate partner and intimacy coach. Yep, we said Joe Walsh, a wildly (emphasis on wildly) talented musician and songwriter in his own right as well as a member of Eagles and Ringo Starr and his All Starr Band, just to name a few. We spoke with Kristin about her serious long term relationship with Joe Walsh, but as is the muses tradition, we get into so much more with our muse du jour. We talk about the spiritual connection between the Muse and Musician, our mutual love of Miss P- Pamela Des Barres, understanding the male psyche, objectification that’s consensual and the importance of nurturing female sexuality. We also get into what it was like to spend quality time with a Beatles, her crazy bond with Levon Helm, the writing process of her book and her journey into the profession of surrogate partner and intimacy coach. We had so much fun with Kristin and definitely believe that she is one of soul sisters. We hope that you get just as much out of this as we did. Enjoy the show. Dr. Death

Dr. Death

We’re at our most vulnerable when we go to our doctors. We trust the person at the other end of that scalpel. We trust the hospital. We trust the system. Christopher Duntsch was a neurosurgeon who radiated confidence. He claimed he was the best in Dallas. If you had back pain, and had tried everything else, Dr. Duntsch could give you the spine surgery that would take your pain away. But soon his patients started to experience complications, and the system failed to protect them. Which begs the question: who - or what - is that system meant to protect? From Wondery, the network behind the hit podcast Dirty John, DR. DEATH is a story about a charming surgeon, 33 patients and a spineless system. Reported and hosted by Laura Beil.
