Speaker 1 (00:11):
Welcome to three sixty rab League from every angle, brought
to you by the new Ranger Plugging Highbred joining me
the Great Good and Tallas bring the Jeronahs in Barz
rath Field and Brent Reed. It's a huge day where
both of the origin teams are in there.

Speaker 2 (00:24):
Let's take a.

Speaker 1 (00:24):
Look at the Moron side now and here it is
Billy Slater picking his team with Kaylen Port Ponger getting
his position at fullback, Coats and Toya the Big One
making his debut only a number of games for the Roosters.
It's a big call by coach Slater. Tabuo I Fido,
Valentine Holmes moves to the wing with Toy going to center.

(00:45):
Kemeron Munster and Dally Cherry Evans retain their.

Speaker 2 (00:48):
Spots in the halves.

Speaker 1 (00:49):
FDAWAKEI grant for saw Malawi, Ruben Cotter Jeremiah and I
am Patrick Carrigan locks the scrum. Tom did and Lindsay
Collins both makes his as does Trent Liero.

Speaker 2 (01:02):
Pretty strong side there, Gordy. What's your thoughts?

Speaker 3 (01:05):
Yeah? Most well, all of them are in pretty good form,
aren't they? So?

Speaker 4 (01:08):
Both firm All deserves his spot. Liira has been doing
a great job. Toya was the one out of left field,
but obviously with Sell and Cobb, Asa carrying his wrist
and Murray too long again the injured roll. And he's
a big body. We also what Latrell did in the
cenis last year, so I think it's you're getting a
big body up against the big centers for New South Wales.

Speaker 2 (01:26):
We're your thoughts buzz.

Speaker 5 (01:27):
Yeah, I like the team.

Speaker 6 (01:29):
Toya is a gamble though twenty years ago Johny played
ten NRL games, difficult position against those big New South
Wales centers.

Speaker 5 (01:36):
I think he'll be on Latreil.

Speaker 6 (01:38):
Valentine Holmes would have been safety first in the centers,
but I don't mind a coach having a gamble and
Holmes is equally at home on the wings.

Speaker 5 (01:46):
So you know, all eyeballs on Rob Toyer.

Speaker 7 (01:49):
The big one for me the beginners. Tino. We didn't
have him last year.

Speaker 8 (01:52):
I shouldn't say we should have queens and didn't have
him last year, but he was a huge app for
Queensland last year. Missed his aggression and I think he's
been fed hous to form for the Titans. Great leader
and he'll fire that pack up.

Speaker 3 (02:06):
Cameron.

Speaker 4 (02:07):
We certainly missed him. Didn't play part in the series.
Neither did Tina. Haven't Tina. He is our forward leader.

Speaker 8 (02:12):
So it's so good as the Blaker is going to
give it to the Liam Martin's of the world and
the Spencer len News.

Speaker 3 (02:18):
I think they're going to be hard at a bully.

Speaker 5 (02:20):
Yes, you see, I'm in confident Gord.

Speaker 4 (02:22):
No Jack, get you, Buzz, I'll get you.

Speaker 2 (02:28):
I wouldn't wear that in the bed anyway.

Speaker 1 (02:29):
Let's get to the new South Wales team because the
Blues are in and it's a strong lineup. Dylan Edwards,
he keeps eat spot at full back to Or and
Lomax on the wings, crighton Mitchell in the centers. Mitchell
Moses gets that spot over lou Eye Cleary is the half,
Mitch Barnett, Robson and Hahs in the front row, Martin
Crichton in the back row, a you know, the captain

(02:51):
and Lote, Connor Watson, Spencer Lenu and Hudson Young on
the bench and Max King the surprise pick will make
his day for the Blues. Now let's cross Lives and
the True Blues Dinner. When new coach, when you said
Wal's coach. Sorry, Laurie, Darley joins us. Larry, you've settled
on Cleary and Moses in the Haars.

Speaker 2 (03:10):
How tough was that decision?

Speaker 9 (03:15):
Yeah, obviously it's a big decision when you leave out
a guy like Jerome Lewie. He and Nathan have had
so much success over the past four years.

Speaker 3 (03:24):
But we just felt for the style of.

Speaker 9 (03:25):
The team, the footy we wanted to play this suits
us better.

Speaker 1 (03:30):
Cleary is a dominant left side player, so now with Moses.

Speaker 2 (03:38):
Do you think he can be dominant on the left
hand side.

Speaker 9 (03:42):
No doubt at all, Bro. I think that there might
even be a few surprises on the night. I think
Nathan Cleary's played some of his best football on the
left edge. You just never know what might happen on
the night. They might pop up on different sides of
the field.

Speaker 3 (03:57):
Hey, Laurie, it's Gordy here. Mate.

Speaker 4 (03:59):
What's it like walking in to New South Wales again?
And what's the difference between walking in as a coach
and a player?

Speaker 9 (04:06):
Hey, Gordy, Geordie, you just get that same excitement, that
same buzz. It's an adrenaline rush. You just can't get
enough of it. And that's what you miss when you
finished playing, just to be around when the big games
are on. So yeah, it's funny because as a coach,
obviously you prepare and you do as much work as

(04:29):
you possibly can for the players to get it right
on the night. But as a player, you know you
can do something about the result when you're out on
the field. But that's the roller coaster we ride as
a coach, and no doubt I'll be riding that roller
coaster on Wednesday night.

Speaker 5 (04:43):
And licens Buzz.

Speaker 6 (04:45):
Latrelle obviously picked himself with that game two weeks ago,
a magnificent game for SOUS. Tell me what he brings
to that rugby league team outside of the ability that
we see.

Speaker 5 (04:56):
They tell me he's very very special to having camp.

Speaker 9 (05:02):
Yeah, it's how would I describe it. He's got a
presence like when when people walk into a room. He
has a presence about him. And there's there's guys in
the game that are very good players and great players,
but they just don't have that same wow fact up
and Latrell's got that. And we know he's a big

(05:24):
game player. We know he thrives and loves the big moment,
and that's what he'll bring to our group.

Speaker 7 (05:30):
Hey, Laurie Brent read here. Mate, there are a couple
of injury.

Speaker 8 (05:33):
Injury concerns around Steve Crichton with that groin and pain hass.
Obviously he didn't come into cambraun till late the TSAVO
with that quad problem problem. Can you give us an
update on those two guys? And how long will you
give pain hears to prove his fitness.

Speaker 9 (05:48):
Yeah, obviously Steve is even a lot better shape than
we thought he was, so he'll probably train later in
the week. But we've got no doubt on on Critter.
We think that he'll be right. In fact, he will
be right. Payno, Obviously the scan came back as good
as as good a scan as you could get. There

(06:10):
is a strain there in his quad, but we're prepared
to give him as long as he needs.

Speaker 3 (06:17):
You.

Speaker 9 (06:17):
If we think he can make the game, then we'll
give him enough time.

Speaker 6 (06:21):
And as I want to ask you about a guy
who's not there, Terrell May, the punters I've been talking
to is surprise that he has not even made the
extended bench. And look, I don't want to put you
in a difficult position. Didn't have anything to do with
the social media post last week that got a bit
of publicity or was it strictly a form thing what

(06:41):
happened there?

Speaker 9 (06:44):
No, no, no, It's stick strictly on what we see
as important in our team. And I think Max King
if your focus really on Max King, if you if
you watch your footy, you see some of the things
that he does, is very very special and you know
he's an underrated player. There's been a constant in Canterbury's
performance this year when they've lost a lot of forwards.

Speaker 2 (07:07):
And one of them has been Max King.

Speaker 9 (07:09):
And Max King he does all the efforts in the
team that you're after. So Therell is a wonderful player,
but we couldn't find a spot for everyone. But we
just thought that Max was knocking too hard on the
door and he had to be included.

Speaker 8 (07:24):
Laurie Buzzett asks about Latroll before now Latrell's not talking
the moment. Didn't talk in camp today, Spence Lena didn't
talk either in camp today.

Speaker 7 (07:32):
Is the plan to keep those guys.

Speaker 8 (07:33):
Away from the media this week or will they to
speak at some point during this camp?

Speaker 7 (07:38):
Do you think?

Speaker 9 (07:41):
I don't think they will. I think that obviously, you
know they want to focus in on their football and
I think we all know the storylines that people want
to want to bring up, so there's no reason to
inflame any situation that these guys might find themselves in.

(08:02):
So it's better off to just keep them away, let
them focus on their.

Speaker 6 (08:05):
Football and.

Speaker 9 (08:08):
Hopefully they play well Wednesday week.

Speaker 1 (08:10):
As you've gone with Isaiaho as the captain, you had
a number of candidates that could have easily have stepped up.

Speaker 2 (08:17):
Why did you land on you?

Speaker 9 (08:21):
I think it was an easy choice break. I think
Isaiah has led Penrith to the last four Premierships, captain
Australia superbly last year and when I spoke to Mal
about his leadership qualities, Mail was glowing in his appraisal,
so you know, he's just was for me the standout
guy once we announced to seventeen and he's a guy

(08:42):
that's got total respect off the playing group, which is
important and when he speaks, everyone listens. So at the
end of the day, we're lucky that we've got a
number of club captains in our team, which is always
good because they'll form part of the leadership group. But
Isaiah is a special human being, and I think he
just fits into that role nicely.

Speaker 4 (09:02):
Hey, Laurie, today you spoke about in the coaches meeting,
you spoke about Robert Toyer. He's a young kid, he's
only played ten NRL games. What do you know about him?

Speaker 3 (09:13):
Oh?

Speaker 9 (09:13):
I know, he's a very good player, and the Roosters
have got a high opinion of him. Gordy Mattie King,
who's an assistant, spoke to me about him today and said,
one thing we won't be doing is underestimating him. He's
a guy that they believed would have been in first
grade had it not been through injury over the last

(09:35):
year or two. Defensively, he makes very good reads and
very strong with the ball. So we're going to have
our hands, you know, We're gonna have to be strong defensively,
and we're gonna have to be anticipating what he does
and what he comes up with. But they've got threats
all over the field, you know. Cherry Evans I thought

(09:55):
was fantastic the other night. Caylen Ponger, you aerial threat,
Xavier coach And then I heard you speaking before I
came on tonight about Tino and Carrigan and these type
of blokes. They're wonderful footy players, and I know they'll
be stinging from last year, so we know we're in
a face.

Speaker 8 (10:14):
Weri's speaking of centers, you left a pretty good one
on the sidelines, Tomy Troivitch. How hard was it to
make that call to leave him out of this team?

Speaker 3 (10:24):
Yeah?

Speaker 9 (10:24):
I look, Tom's a favorite of mine, so it was
sort of a difficult one because you'll wanted to sort
of find a spot for him. But at the end
of the day, I think the other guys just played
better than what Tom did. So for me, I think
Tom just needs to go back to the.

Speaker 2 (10:43):
Club and find a bit of form. And I've got no.

Speaker 9 (10:45):
Doubt that at his best he's a part of the squad.
But I just think at the moment as it stands
for Game one, the guys we've selected are the best
ones to do the job.

Speaker 6 (10:56):
Als with respect to your last coaching stint and that
the team you had around you, I think you're stronger
with a blake called Craig Bellamy there. Can you take
us through exactly what he does. I presume he's in camp.
I presume he's there all week. I presume we'll sit beside.

Speaker 5 (11:12):
You on game night? What's belly ates, Ralph?

Speaker 9 (11:17):
Oh, We're so happy to have Craig on board. He's
had a major influence on the way the coaching staff
have operated already. Now he's overseeing what we do as coaches.
And as I've said before, Craig's not having any input
into terms of, you know, the way we play or
the way that they play. He's taking our ideas from

(11:41):
a coaching point of view and then tossing in his
own ideas about have you thought about this, have you
thought about that? Have you covered off on this? And
just running stuff by him has been so good for
us coaches. I'm not in the NRL system. I've got
my own ideas. We've got young assistant coaches who have
got massive futures.

Speaker 3 (11:59):
So to have some like Craig abouts.

Speaker 9 (12:01):
These ideas off and about how defensive structures and attacking
plays off is unreal.

Speaker 8 (12:07):
A lot of Just on that note, we've seen you
in the box with Craig during games this year. What
is there one thing you've picked up from being in
the box with him, or one tip or one lesson
you've learned at of spending that time with him.

Speaker 9 (12:22):
Yes, his ability to assess information in a small moment
and then to know exactly what decision needs to be made.
I found it so good. When you're sitting in a
coaching box, You're receiving a lot of information, there's a

(12:46):
lot of numbers getting thrown around. But able to get
that and then react quickly but also make the right
decision is a skill. So for me sitting in the
box on Wednesday work knowing that I've got a bloat
like that that can look and see and feel and
know what we should be doing, I think it's going

(13:08):
to be very helpful there on your lives.

Speaker 1 (13:10):
We really appreciate you coming on. We know it's a
busy time. You're there at the True Blues. Didn't us
to go and enjoy that one and get the boys
fired up so we can win this first game up
at sun Court.

Speaker 9 (13:21):
Thanks break, Thanks having on, Gordy ready and buzz good
night your lives.

Speaker 2 (13:26):
Enjoy a night there. He is the coach of the
new South Wales.

Speaker 3 (13:33):
Queensland need a coach that we can hate to.

Speaker 2 (13:36):
We're going to get to Billy Slater too.

Speaker 1 (13:38):
He's coming up shortly, you were going to say, but
we're going to get to the Queensland coach in not
too long buzz.

Speaker 5 (13:43):
I'm just saying he's really impressive.

Speaker 6 (13:45):
But I think he's grown a lot since his last
stint and the way he's so open to getting belly
aches involved in that.

Speaker 5 (13:51):
So I just love what he said, how he answered
every question.

Speaker 4 (13:54):
Well, it's all the trends in the NRL that they
pick up on, you know, so you know when Laurie
would deliver him John like, I understand that it's going
to be powerful because of what he's done in the Jersey,
but they have all those little trends in the game.
And what's happening with the interchange. I than clear he
sat in there a few years ago and I know
that it helped back then as well.

Speaker 8 (14:12):
It's a bit of a frontier for Craig as well,
because he's tried it not succeeded at origin level.

Speaker 7 (14:17):
So this is almost his second shot at.

Speaker 2 (14:19):
It's a better evolution. You got to evolve as a coach,
you go to evolve as a player.

Speaker 1 (14:22):
It's you know, it's just the way these days, or
else you're going to fall behind. So Lots has been
out of the game for a little bit, but to
take that advice from some of the biggest and messed
performers in our game at the highest level.

Speaker 2 (14:34):
He's very smart on his part.

Speaker 1 (14:35):
Now, let's talk a bit of footing about the team
that he has. Pick Cleary and Moses, the harves combination.
Who plays the dominant role here? Do we like this combination?
A question for you, Well, it's got to be clearing
straight away. I don't even think twice about it. Clear
he's got to own the team. You know, we talk
about Cleary going to that next level. You know, you
guys have argued over whether he's going to be in
a future a mortal or should be there, and whether

(14:58):
he's the best player of our time in the heart
and there's always that little bit of a question mark. Yes,
he's won Origin Series and play great, but let it
be his team.

Speaker 2 (15:06):
He is the best half in the world.

Speaker 1 (15:08):
And why I like the combination too is if it's
all about putting egos aside. I don't think either of
these two have egos, But it's more less is more,
probably from Moses. Moses is such a great runner of
the ball in Origin as a five eight.

Speaker 2 (15:22):
That's what you want.

Speaker 1 (15:23):
Just just think run early, just think run, just think
run and at the end of the day, if therefore
they think he's going to run all the time, Mitchell
moses passing game is sublime.

Speaker 2 (15:32):
He's kicking game too. Think about this.

Speaker 1 (15:34):
You got two halves who are arguingly the best kickers
in the competition and Origin you need great kickers. That
you DC is amazing for Queensland and that's why he's
normally the first one pick because of his kicking game.
He said, I was out too, So it's great to
have that artillery and that and those options.

Speaker 2 (15:54):
I think they can form a great combination.

Speaker 1 (15:56):
That the issue is is how quick can they get
to their best And in Origin you can't fail. Like
you go to sun Court Stadium and you lose and
then all of a sudden, you know, we know what
happens after that. The noise starts, the drum starts beating,
it gets noisy and the pressure is on.

Speaker 3 (16:14):
Well.

Speaker 4 (16:14):
One thing like as soon as I like, they both
got massive kicks on them, you know they can turn
a pull set into a great set with the size
of the boot. And watching Nathan, especially Brisbane magic ground
going back over the left side, so whether he plays
left or right, I.

Speaker 3 (16:27):
Don't think it worries Nathan, and I don't think it worries.

Speaker 4 (16:30):
I think Mitchell really likes running on the right, but
they would just swap.

Speaker 2 (16:34):
You think he's so fast to.

Speaker 7 (16:36):
It just frees him up to be instinctive.

Speaker 8 (16:38):
Does run the football, Mitch Piers, Mitch Moses, because that's
when he's at his best, when he's running the foot.
He's got a great turn of pace. He's going to
be a real threat to Queensland.

Speaker 7 (16:47):
Been very quilt quite, isn't it.

Speaker 6 (16:49):
I know, well, you know you're talking about the Harps,
so I think their performance is going to be largely
dependent on half playing and getting middlefield momentum and Barnett
and King coming on and giving them the you know,
the dominance in the middle of the field and space
and to be able to work what we know they're
capable of. Do you have an opinion on the halves though, Yeah, Look,

(17:11):
as I said on Sunday before the side was picked, personally,
I would have gone with Jerome Leweye. I thought that, yeah, yeah,
well look and I go combinations in football and I
go yeah, and I go clear in, I go were
Woods and I go, you know those Leam Martin on
an edge. That's the only reason why. But Lorry did
promises when he came back into that job that he

(17:33):
would make tough decisions and that you know, he'd picked
the side and form and the phone called a tom
Turbo proved that because Turbo hasn't stretched out like the
champion did he know it and he made that really
really tough.

Speaker 4 (17:47):
I've got a pretty good relationship with pain Has. I
was on the plane with him. He flew down later
on the South and he said to me because he
sort of limp, and he said he might not run
until Monday.

Speaker 7 (17:56):
Or they given him until Monday.

Speaker 3 (17:59):
Yeah, that's what to be a problem being a front round.

Speaker 2 (18:01):
For the front it was in the half.

Speaker 1 (18:03):
I think you're six seven nine full back and you
don't train the normally, theyll rule you early than the
front roun.

Speaker 4 (18:08):
You know, he can go all the way you give,
you give pain Has until the Captain's run on Tuesday.

Speaker 3 (18:13):
Yeah.

Speaker 8 (18:14):
The measure that, yeah, the measure that created the blokes
they've left out. I mean you leave out Tommy, Jerome, Lewie,
Terrell May. That's a pretty good team and you're going
to leave those guys out.

Speaker 3 (18:25):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (18:26):
Back to the Hars Mitch mos is confident and he
can strike the right balance with Nathan Cleary.

Speaker 2 (18:31):
Yeah, really excited.

Speaker 10 (18:32):
I really excited bounce in here. Haven't played a game
on game for for the Blues yet, so I'm excited
for the opportunity. But yeah, just excited getting And he
said the boys, and there's going to be. But I
don't think we have really big guys. I think it's
more just I mean, being being a seven and you've
obviously got to have that.

Speaker 2 (18:49):
I guess, sonar, I guess. And but yeah, we'll work
it out.

Speaker 10 (18:52):
We'll sit down and work out for probably one of
the best sevens to play the game. So I my
how he plays with a lot of respect for how
he has.

Speaker 2 (18:59):
Played the game.

Speaker 10 (18:59):
And I watched his game pretty closely, so I feel
like I.

Speaker 2 (19:02):
Know his game pretty well. Yeah, I'm sure he does
know he's game well.

Speaker 1 (19:06):
I would have watched a lot of his footy over
the years, and they've played against each other a number
of times, and I'm sure they look up to each other.

Speaker 2 (19:11):
Now let's get to the forwards.

Speaker 1 (19:12):
Would Kloa, Mtongney or Terrell may have been a better
choice than Max King?

Speaker 2 (19:19):
Or are we happy with Max King? Bean picked.

Speaker 8 (19:21):
Well, he got a reward form and Laurie's done. I
mean kloon Ma Touney has been great past Fortnite, but
I think of the course of the season, Max King
has been more consistent and played better footy than him.
Terrell had a look. I think Terrell basically cost himself
two weeks ago and what Melbourne they played in Melbourne,
they out of Shoka, they got carved up.

Speaker 3 (19:40):
I mean.

Speaker 5 (19:43):
Gord. He was referring to the he was on.

Speaker 8 (19:46):
He was playing a game. He does a live vlog
where he's playing a computer game. He joked about burning
Newsaid willast jersey. Now there's a background story that he's
got a mate, Queenslander who he bought, who he sent
the jersey to as a joke, and he said to
the mate, how you can burn that now? And obviously
when you cut it out and just show the clip,

(20:06):
it looks.

Speaker 1 (20:06):
As he's having to go and say that you can
burn it now because he thought he wasn't going to
make it.

Speaker 8 (20:10):
Well, I suspect that he was having a joke. So
I feel a bit sorry from that respect, But I
don't think that's costing the Jews.

Speaker 1 (20:16):
Well, it's because I want't you know, we asked Laws,
You asked Laws, right, and Laws was always going to
say it didn't cost him a jersey.

Speaker 2 (20:26):
But do we think it cost him a jersey? That's
what I want to know.

Speaker 5 (20:29):
We'll put it this way.

Speaker 6 (20:29):
If you've got two players and it's almost impossible to
separate him King and Terrill May and one's been a
goose on social media, you go with Australia one eight,
you do, and you do. But having said that, King
dead set deserves the spot on that side. I certainly

(20:50):
doubted the middle forwards it can and that's why they
signed Thompson from Newcastle. I've down in Friday months whether
they had a mids that could win them a title.
That guy has turned up each and every week, one
nine out of ten. He's been the cornerstone of their
gave forward and he deserves his spots.

Speaker 1 (21:08):
It's an interesting one, but because for me, King definitely deserves.

Speaker 2 (21:13):
It more than anyone.

Speaker 1 (21:14):
The hard work, the story behind it, you know, missing
being out with a serious injury years ago, you know,
being at the Bulldogs for long period of time, being
the most consistent forward. If there's anyone that deserves the
Blues jersey it is Max King.

Speaker 3 (21:26):
I think.

Speaker 1 (21:26):
But but but I'm just if you asked me the
question would you have Terrell May or would you have
Max King, I'd probably go towards May. If you're talking
footy wise, right, that's just my honest opinion.

Speaker 4 (21:39):
I don't even probably ate Klo my tongue. Wouldn't you
go May or Lenu? Well, then doesn't it come down
to a balance? I was talking to Jimmy Graham. Yes,
they played four hundred games, right, and then when you've
got two front roles, you've got pain hats together, do you.

Speaker 3 (21:53):
Pick it with a bit more balance? That is the
only question that I come up.

Speaker 2 (21:57):
But Len he's in them.

Speaker 8 (21:58):
Yeah, what you say one or the other toss up?
But I go back to that Melbourne style because Melbourne
exposed to real May that day. He missed a lot
of tackles Craig Bellums on the coach and stuff in
New South Walest. They obviously went there with the game
plan to get it to Rell May.

Speaker 4 (22:14):
Okay, who's going to make more impact off the bench?
That's probably the question.

Speaker 1 (22:17):
But I'm thinking King. If I've got Max King, I'm
starting Max King. Chavoyevitch for the first twenty minutes. That's
what because he's reliable, I reckon.

Speaker 3 (22:25):
That's what I reckon.

Speaker 2 (22:26):
That's what's going to happen.

Speaker 1 (22:27):
That might be the way because he's not He wouldn't
think Max King is one that you bring off the
bench for impact. I'm looking at the team thinking that
that doesn't seem right to me, him being at seventeen.

Speaker 2 (22:37):
I'd have him in the I'd had him starting mids Barnet.
You know that That's what I would do, and that
may I think that's what's going to happen. That's just
my opinion.

Speaker 5 (22:45):
I don't know, but I'd be interesting though.

Speaker 6 (22:46):
If something happens to pay in half and he can't
make it, well, Terrell may then come on in Jersey
nine or twenty at least as a reserve.

Speaker 5 (22:54):
Was he totally was.

Speaker 2 (22:55):
Not even there?

Speaker 5 (22:56):
So what what?

Speaker 6 (22:57):
What's fascinated a lot of people in the terror story
is that he sort of inexplicably left the roosters. You know,
there was no proper reasoning given, you know, as a culture.

Speaker 5 (23:11):
I don't know.

Speaker 6 (23:12):
I undergrad I've spoken to Robert and I've spoken to
Nick Politis. As a person, they don't have a problem
with him, but something made them cut him loose. And
I'm wondering if Laurie has done more homework and found out.

Speaker 2 (23:29):
But everyone Freddy wasn't happy with it.

Speaker 1 (23:32):
Everyone's in Origin legend spoken about it.

Speaker 6 (23:35):
Yeah, everyone at the West Tigers, Benji and Shane Richardson
swear by it as a human being.

Speaker 5 (23:41):
So I can't talk.

Speaker 8 (23:43):
The smartest thing he can do now is go back
and keep playing good footing and put the pressure on it.
The worst thing he can do is good on social
media and say something Yeah.

Speaker 1 (23:54):
YouTube chanvogs, vlogs, logs, that's that can get you, like
you on your Instagram vlogging. I don't vlog at all.
I'm not a vlogger.

Speaker 5 (24:08):
What are you doing the makeup chair when I'm.

Speaker 2 (24:12):
You?

Speaker 1 (24:12):
So, all the people in here, let's move on, buzz,
because today you have been busy.

Speaker 2 (24:20):
You've been you've been worked up about this story.

Speaker 1 (24:24):
If you've been crunching the numbers, and you think that
some clubs a disadvantage over the Origin series with buyers
or lack.

Speaker 6 (24:32):
Of the drawer's got no integrity around Origin, Tom, You've
got the big clubs, Broncos, Storm.

Speaker 5 (24:41):
And the Panthers.

Speaker 3 (24:42):
Here it is here.

Speaker 6 (24:44):
This is the number of players they've all given up
per club, right, and the Panthers and the rest you
can see there and Storm and Cows are given away
the most.

Speaker 5 (24:53):
But then you get to.

Speaker 6 (24:54):
Buys before the State of Origin series. The Broncos get Storm,
get to Panthers get to you go down. The bottom
of the roosters are equal, don't get one. So they've
got three games without five stars. Three games. Same with
the Dogs, same with the Seagulls. It is not fair.

(25:15):
At the start of the year, when the draws done,
they need to put into their computer.

Speaker 2 (25:21):
What computer they got is there like a system.

Speaker 5 (25:24):
AI had sorted out from straight away.

Speaker 2 (25:27):
All you've got to say is, well, you got more
for us here? What's this?

Speaker 6 (25:31):
Well, this is the last three years.

Speaker 8 (25:33):
Well, doesn't know who's going to be playing Origin before
the season starts.

Speaker 3 (25:38):
You don't know that, But.

Speaker 7 (25:39):
They don't really know. They WoT hold on.

Speaker 6 (25:45):
They always know Broncos, Storm and Panthers, and so they're
going to have the most. They know that, everyone knows it,
so they give them two buyers. They've only got one
game without their stars. Now these other clubs, and all
they've got to do is put into their system and
say share the buys round make it fair. Why should

(26:05):
the Rousters have to play Cronulla, the West Tigers and
I forget who else three weeks without five starts and
they're against a full strength Coronula side that don't have
a play.

Speaker 8 (26:15):
How can you make that fair when you don't know
who's playing Origin for the season starts.

Speaker 6 (26:19):
You'll have a rough idea, but I know you can't
say it definite, but you can say let's get all
seveneen clubs and give them as close as possible as
we can to an even share of buys at this
critical part of the season. Why have the Warriors got

(26:39):
two buys before Origin?

Speaker 2 (26:41):
Now?

Speaker 5 (26:41):
Why if the West Tiger's got two.

Speaker 8 (26:43):
Buys, Someone's always going to Sorry, someone's always going to
get done.

Speaker 5 (26:47):
So you're happy with the system. You don't think it's unfair, Well.

Speaker 8 (26:50):
That's that's the way the systems will work for years
and years.

Speaker 7 (26:53):
But you know it's unfair.

Speaker 5 (26:54):
That doesn't mean to try at the end of.

Speaker 7 (26:56):
The year the best team always.

Speaker 6 (26:59):
That is such a poor argument. Ready, That is a
really poor argument because I'll tell you why. The Roosters
and Penrith in a similar position. They're both fighting to
make the top eight. The Roosters have three games without
their best players. Penrith only have one, so might cost
them a top eight, it might cost them a top four.
It's got nothing to do with the best team wins.

(27:20):
It's got nothing to do with nothing. It's not it's unfair.
You know it's unfair.

Speaker 8 (27:26):
But then can't at the start of the season predict
who's going to be playing.

Speaker 6 (27:33):
You're not listening ready, I said, I'm not asking them
to predict how many players. I'm asking them to share
them round.

Speaker 8 (27:40):
But because then you go to teams who've got no
Origin players getting as many boys as teams do it
five origin.

Speaker 5 (27:46):
Just ready, I just explained that.

Speaker 6 (27:49):
I just explained that they've given the West Tigers two buys,
They've given the Warriors two buys even though they've only
got one player.

Speaker 5 (28:01):
So I'm not asking to predict.

Speaker 6 (28:03):
I'm asking them to share it around, to put some
integrity the door.

Speaker 3 (28:08):
Origin piers and you don't have to worry.

Speaker 6 (28:10):
Well, the only other solution is which don't say call
origin of rest during origin No.

Speaker 5 (28:20):
No, The best way.

Speaker 6 (28:23):
The best way to do it is when we have
a twenty two comp is pull the comp up for
three weeks put other football around to say, put r
l W around.

Speaker 4 (28:31):
You know what, Buzz, you didn't make some really good
points and I can't argue. But you know the Broncos
when they have the baby Broncos and they go and
all those young kids get the opportunity, it can actually
build your club.

Speaker 3 (28:41):
And all those young kids go and.

Speaker 4 (28:42):
They wear their jersey and then and then they get
a taste of first grade and they come out better
piers and then when you need them at the end.

Speaker 2 (28:49):
Of the Roncos.

Speaker 6 (28:51):
The Broncos need their best side on the park right now, Gord.

Speaker 5 (28:54):
You don't worry about bloody.

Speaker 6 (28:55):
Young They need their best side in the park. And
they're only missing their players.

Speaker 4 (29:00):
For one Penrith last year when they put out all
those young kids and they got the job done and
I was still good.

Speaker 3 (29:06):
And Melbourne have done it for years.

Speaker 8 (29:07):
And now see the Broncos play lately. They don't need
the best team in the park.

Speaker 5 (29:10):
By the way, that seems did not predict that.

Speaker 2 (29:14):
Did we get a solution there or was that just
oh

Speaker 5 (29:17):
Well, it's very hard to get a solution argain with
