Speaker 1 (00:03):
Turner three sixty.

Speaker 2 (00:03):
If I believe from every angle brought by the new
Ranger plugging high, we're joining me in the great good
and Tellers. It's been the general straight in Buzz, Rothfield
and Brent Reed. We have a massive show and three
sixty tonight we're crossing to Steve Ranoff for our heavy hitters.
We'll talk all things Broncos. Lachland Galvin has finally spoken.
We've got a part of that interview on Fox League

(00:24):
coming up as well. But how good was the footy
over the weekend on Fox League?

Speaker 1 (00:28):
Especially yesterday?

Speaker 3 (00:30):
I was outstanding Braith And look, I got to admit
I've burned a critic of rugby league around Origin time,
but suffering when Buzz well, you know that's one week
in seven okay, And look I stand by it. The
clubs are behind it. Wayne Bennett's behind it, a lot
of people are. But what I saw yesterday were three
games of forty You couldn't leave the couch. They're outstanding.

(00:51):
And the night before the West Tigers come back, how
good was that?

Speaker 4 (00:54):
I was sidelined at Alliance for the Camera Roosters game
and Canberra were men. They're a good football they've just
never beaten the Raiders have surprised a lot of people,
including me.

Speaker 5 (01:05):
I think it's one of our greatest seasons. So close,
you don't know Tipster's nightmare last week. I liked to
buzz when there was no origin plays all the upsets,
but this weekend was fantastic.

Speaker 3 (01:18):
I spoke to some under Day because ratings everywhere off
the charts this year, and people at the NRL are
putting it down to the Las Vegas effect, in that
a lot of first time viewers casual fans watch Vegas
beginning of there. They love what they see and they're
staying with the game, and it's a really interesting point.

Speaker 1 (01:39):
I thought exclusive the Fox lead too. Buzz.

Speaker 2 (01:41):
Broncs hadn't been a brook Val in a decade, arriving
on the beaches under enormous pressure, and when the blowtorch
got applied, they crumbled.

Speaker 6 (01:53):
Last tackle play, who wants a short sight short side
against another chance sit re such are he evers there?

Speaker 1 (02:04):
It is?

Speaker 7 (02:04):
Tell you back is a Pela.

Speaker 3 (02:09):
That's a delicious.

Speaker 6 (02:10):
Pass from the Madley side, and there's a kick further
on the right again Polta Calata badly sizzle back the
Brooks tries to kick towards the post coley that is

(02:30):
as clear as you're catching in the air. Brilliant play
by Madly twenty six on.

Speaker 1 (02:36):
The board against Brisbane. Brisbane's demise is the story here.
One win from eighty.

Speaker 4 (02:42):
I don't know where Michael Maguire goes to from here.

Speaker 1 (02:46):
That was our moment of aroun all thanks to Ford.

Speaker 2 (02:49):
Four straight losses, one from seven the Broncos one from
the last seven.

Speaker 1 (02:56):
What's going on up there in Brisbane?

Speaker 3 (02:59):
What I saw the other no heart, no desire, no passion,
no idea. Mak Greg Alexander said in the commentary. I
don't know where Michael Maguire goes and I agree with him.
I think he's got to change, but they were just
dreadful reading.

Speaker 4 (03:12):
I don't think he's got anything change, but I think
he's won a couple of comps here and overseas, and
I'm going to say his mind, he knows what it takes.
But I mean, it's just not working at the moment.
I was sidelined for this game as well, and man,
they were shocking for the opening minute. The opening set
mainly just rolled down the field and they kept rolling

(03:33):
for a sideline.

Speaker 2 (03:34):
I'm at home watching it, and it was I mean,
I've seen him look like that at periods throughout the year,
but not a whole eighty minutes. I just want to
get Before I get the Gordy, I'm thinking, how does
it feel there on the sideline, Like with them so
close to you, could you feel that there's no energy?
Could you feel that they didn't but they're struggling? Did

(03:55):
it look like there's a problem there.

Speaker 4 (03:56):
The thing for me, Braith was after the game, the
looks on the faces after the game, they would just
blank stairs. They just they look like a team bereft
of answers. And I mean I was. I was at
their first game in eighty eight. I can't remember too
many games that I've watched over the years of the
Broncos that look that bad. And there probably have been some,
there would have been, but they were just horrid and
it looked like on the field it just looked like

(04:17):
they were mainly were good, right, there's no doubt about that.
But they look clueless. They look lost, and you know,
it's a huge game this week break the Gold Coast
Tides a monstrous game.

Speaker 2 (04:28):
It is God, you're a club legend run comp's there
for you sitting back now, what do you see is
wrong with the place.

Speaker 1 (04:37):
I think a bit of everything.

Speaker 5 (04:38):
I think they've gone away from what from what makes
Broncos great. I think they're trying to win, well, they're
trying to win eight ten like where aside that expresses themselves.
I think that they're playing like they're scared to make
a mistake. It's like that they're not going out there there.
They're not playing a style of footy. Sometimes I don't
know if there's no leadership right so against the Dragons,

(05:01):
like if I go back to the Dragons, the last
player of the game, their half back doesn't come up
with a play and then you go there. Mainly no Tommy,
no trophy. I always say, no Jake, no second. Wasn't
a full strength manly. So they've struggled. You would think
this is it. They're coming off a buy.

Speaker 1 (05:17):
You would think they'd be jumping out of their skin.

Speaker 5 (05:19):
Okay, you can come up with no plays, breath, but
you think the effort would be there, wouldn't you. So
when they were playing in the Grand Final, their kick
chase was great. The d they did get found out
late in the game against parents. But most of the year,
you don't play in the Grand Final if you're not
having a go for each other. I don't see them
playing for each other. There's no connection I think at times,
and they've gone away from expressing themselves.

Speaker 1 (05:40):
I don't think that they're out.

Speaker 5 (05:41):
There throwing the ball around and winning twenty points to
forteen or whatever.

Speaker 1 (05:45):
I think it's like thirty points to forward.

Speaker 4 (05:47):
We saw them put forty or whatever they put on Cannaby.
We saw them put fifty or so for Roosters. They
look magnificent, right, they look they throw the ball and
they threw the ball around, played played football. They look scared,
like they're even scared to play.

Speaker 2 (06:00):
That was my point at times this year when they'd
been written off and people had questioned, and they'd bounce
back and they'd come up with that performance like they
did against the Dogs, and you think, okay, you still
believe they've still got it in them to come back
and make the finals. But as you've been big on
the player unrest all year, what are you seeing and
what are you hearing out of the class.

Speaker 3 (06:20):
Well, I'm hearing this player unrest And even when Payne
Haas's manager put out a statement saying everything's okay, We're
going to sit down talk to the Broncos. I feel
that was to take pressure of pain because everyone publicly
saying he won't hang around with the team going this badly.
He wants to win a premiership. He might even go
down the road of the Titans, play with Tino, play

(06:40):
with his brother. And I thought that statement was put
out to take pressure off him. As I've said many
times this year, Madge is a particularly intense sort of fella,
very suited direct coaching. Eight weeks with New South Wales,
eight weeks with New Zealand, he's been very successful. But
that intense club style didn't work at the West Tigers

(07:01):
and at the back end It's House it didn't work
either and he was forced out of both clubs. It's
very and a lot of people are saying, well, you know,
the players couldn't perform under Kevy, but they actually did.
They made a Grand Final, was seven eight minutes off
winning it, so they did actually perform Kevy lift him
from Wooden Spurn. They couldn't perform under Sea Bowl, so

(07:23):
it must be the players. I think Madge is an
intense sort of do it and they can't or relate
to him. I think there's a communication problem there. And
I don't know what role Ben Tuia is playing in this.
I don't know what Trent Barrett's doing. I don't know
what Matt Ballen's doing. But that coaching staff before them

(07:44):
got to get together and they've got to say whatever
we're doing now, six losses, seven guys, but it's a
championship roster.

Speaker 5 (07:53):
Do you look at that squad and go, Okay, what
brings out the best in Nazrae, what brings out the
best of or do you go, we're going to play
this style football that might not They've.

Speaker 4 (08:03):
Done that style of times this year they've played that style.

Speaker 3 (08:06):
But there are two games in fourteen weeks.

Speaker 4 (08:09):
Understand that I'm saying that style has been There are
times this year they just haven't produced it consistently, particularly
over the last seven weeks. And you know it's but
everyone wants to play mad for what's going on, right,
but last year they didn't perform under Kevy Right last year,
that's what Kevy is not the job anymore. This playing
squad the majority of last year.

Speaker 1 (08:30):
This year, last year.

Speaker 4 (08:32):
He's had injuries.

Speaker 5 (08:33):
Reason got filers played five five games year at the moment,
then han't come this year one and re spolsh and
he must last year.

Speaker 4 (08:45):
Should take some ownership the way they're playing.

Speaker 1 (08:48):
What was he brought there for? To give them a
what to give them a backbone?

Speaker 4 (08:52):
Some spine?

Speaker 1 (08:52):
Do they have it? No?

Speaker 4 (08:54):
Not based on but Gordy, they've got a boy and
they're not buying in. They can't just keep changing the
coach every year.

Speaker 5 (09:03):
Okay, then perfect, Well who's the blame then for the situation?

Speaker 4 (09:06):
Then well, I think the players are the majority of
the blame.

Speaker 5 (09:08):
For itseld On. But last year it wasn't the players,
it was the coach.

Speaker 4 (09:12):
Yeah, and maybe that was a mistaken one side. Maybe
they should take a look at the makes those decisions, well,
the chairman, the CEO and the board and decisions and
we're still sitting there. Gordy back to it to me
that playing group and I said it a few weeks ago,
that's a week playing group. It's a week.

Speaker 1 (09:34):
We're playing the house.

Speaker 4 (09:35):
And Pat Carrigan backed up on on Saturday night, but
two of their better players, the rest of them didn't
back up. They were shocking.

Speaker 1 (09:41):
Was there trying.

Speaker 3 (09:44):
To get in for five minutes.

Speaker 4 (09:46):
We're not playing tough at the moment, Gordy, you think.

Speaker 3 (09:48):
They can't played tougher.

Speaker 1 (09:51):
The haven't been a drag out rough upside.

Speaker 5 (09:55):
We've been aside that's played football and played a style
of football that one.

Speaker 4 (09:59):
You've still got to them. Goody your body the.

Speaker 2 (10:02):
Outscore because you're allowed to have an opinions. I'll bring you.
I'm just saying that.

Speaker 3 (10:06):
The buck does stop with the head coach. You're saying
why people you know he's getting the credit camera Ricky Stewart,
you know he's getting the credit. Canterbury Cameron Surround that
the head coach is careers.

Speaker 4 (10:19):
Getting all the credit to find they are they are.

Speaker 3 (10:22):
It's magic was sponsibilities said all the time to present
that great football side of premiership winning winning roster in
my view, ready to play each week, not lose six
out of seven. He has to take responsibility. That's the coach. No,
I don't, I said many times, very intense. He has

(10:45):
to change his style because whatever else.

Speaker 4 (10:48):
Is changing, his style boys going to win. He ain't changed.

Speaker 2 (10:53):
Ain't he has either, But you guys have factual evidence
that suggests that he hasn't.

Speaker 1 (11:00):
I don't, but you can tell by the results. Maybe
who knows.

Speaker 2 (11:04):
But in the sheds you wrote in Today's Daily Telegraph
that they went to a separate room so they were
on camera, right, what do you not know?

Speaker 1 (11:13):
Why they did that?

Speaker 3 (11:13):
All just traditional every other NRL club for the last
couple of years come back to their dressing sheds. There's
either a Channel nine or a micro camera or a
Fox Sports micro camera, and it gives fans an insight
into the sheds where the coach is giving them a spray,
knocking a door off. The jes.

Speaker 1 (11:32):
It is.

Speaker 3 (11:33):
It's great theater, but Madge wanted to keep things tight
and I think it's a sort of siege mentality attitude
to take them into a private room behind closed doors
and not let anyone see his reaction to this piss
poor effort.

Speaker 1 (11:53):
And it really spray. Did you hear the ispray?

Speaker 3 (11:57):
I'm told he did not hold back. People are very
very The whole joints on eggshells. Everyone's really nervy. We'll
get to Dave Donahey. He was offered an opportunity to
come on this show. The CEO, not the back was
as well. Yeah, he was supposed to go on Channel
nine Channel nine advertise exclusive. Dave Donahy one didn't I

(12:20):
he didn't talk last year, but he didn't.

Speaker 1 (12:23):
He didn't talk messages.

Speaker 3 (12:25):
I'm getting he's the.

Speaker 1 (12:26):
Fans part of the media, right.

Speaker 5 (12:28):
The thing is right, we've got to all sit there
X players and answer for the club. He could come
out and make a statement with Karl Morris and talk
to the fans and members if he wants their money,
like it's not us. So I'm sitting there answering questions
where he could come out and answer the questions.

Speaker 4 (12:43):
I'd like to see Dave Peggy seat up as well.
Carl either or don't care today So I spoke to
Dave today. Didn't want to go on the record.

Speaker 1 (12:51):
Why not?

Speaker 4 (12:52):
He didn't want to get they're.

Speaker 3 (12:54):
Failing the pinch about making that decision to sack Heavy
and bring in a I who has actually taken the
team backwards substantially. They're on sixteen points after third, wouldn't
have the answers to them they're on twelve. Do you
think that's why they're both ducking for cover?

Speaker 4 (13:12):
Well, I'm sure they know that. Everyone at the club's
under pressure because they've gone backwards.

Speaker 1 (13:16):
I thought it was a yes or no question.

Speaker 4 (13:18):
Well, I'm not sure that's the specific reason the duck
in the middle. I'm sure Davell and Carl will pake
their head up and somewhere next week. I would have
thought the next week.

Speaker 1 (13:27):
Right, So you're saying the players are going to be better.

Speaker 2 (13:30):
You blaming the players, You too blaming leading towards the coach.
Then I'll say, right, but really all things point to leadership.

Speaker 1 (13:40):
And you mentioned Dave Donnae.

Speaker 2 (13:41):
He mentioned we asked him to come on this show
and he knocked it back. Should he be fronting up
and I we just talked about that. But there's got
to be some sort of ownership taken by the leadership
at the Broncos here right, his whole situation.

Speaker 1 (13:54):
He could be one to come for nineteen years.

Speaker 5 (13:55):
He could be taking pressure off Kevy last year, could
be taking pressure off made. He could be can pressure
off players. He could be answering questions about paying. That's
and it goes away.

Speaker 4 (14:04):
Well, he maybe doesn't want to take the pressure of
the players. Maybe he wants the players to feel some
pressure performing well. Manage the big boy. He can handle himself.
I don't think mage want I don't think I don't
think Madge want Dave speaking.

Speaker 1 (14:18):
Fourth coach year, but we're going to go.

Speaker 4 (14:22):
He goes back to they want to comp in nineteen years.
This club goes back further than that. It's simple to say,
but four coaching eight years, this club, this biggest club
in rugby league, hasn't want to comp in nineteen years.
It's unfathomable.

Speaker 1 (14:36):
But that's put the hand up saying there, just as he.

Speaker 3 (14:39):
Doesn't want to transparency right and the fact he took
them into a private room and the fans couldn't see
it is and it doesn't set please. Plus the fact
that the CEO and chairman the hiding behind their phones,
those ams and I get all their social messages and emails,

(15:05):
are entitled to get some explanation for what is going
on inside the four walls.

Speaker 1 (15:11):
Of that club.

Speaker 4 (15:13):
Buzz I don't disagree.

Speaker 3 (15:15):
That with respect to the canber Raiders is a superior ross.
I agree with that they are not playing for the coach.

Speaker 4 (15:27):
I don't necessarily agree with, but I agree with you
here what is the problem?

Speaker 1 (15:32):
Then?

Speaker 4 (15:32):
What do you reckon?

Speaker 1 (15:33):
It's the problem?

Speaker 4 (15:33):
Bro?

Speaker 1 (15:34):
You've watched a lot of footag You've been in some
good clubs I'm split. I'm split.

Speaker 2 (15:38):
I mean, I think you know, when there's been a
problem that's been at an establishment of business, an organization,
a footy club for a long period of time, you're
going to look at the leadership, and you know, the
coach is the leader of the team, but then there's
there's a board and there's CEOs and all that that.

Speaker 1 (15:54):
Really have to answer to this.

Speaker 2 (15:55):
I think it's got to a point now where everyone
is so split on whether you blame manager, you blame
the players, that I think they've got to frunt up.
I think I think Dave Donahey and the likes have
got to front up and they've got something answer to
here and how they're going to fix it.

Speaker 1 (16:07):
What's their vision, what's their direction? What goals have they got?
They can answer them.

Speaker 2 (16:12):
They can tell us what the problem is at the moment,
because no one seems.

Speaker 1 (16:14):
To really is able to put their finger on it.

Speaker 3 (16:17):
But one that when there's one or two players out
of form, like Adam Reynolds is out of form. Right,
when there's one or two, you know it's not a
coaching issue. But when it's the whole side, apart from
paying hears, that's a coach issue. It really is, and
I don't understand like a broken record, it's not a
couple of players down.

Speaker 2 (16:38):
The concern is their body language, lack of resilience, and
the lack of passion desire, like they're they're really that
hurts when you questioned those things are questioned as a player.

Speaker 1 (16:50):
That should never be the case.

Speaker 3 (16:51):
We've been questioned for weeks. It hasn't.

Speaker 1 (16:53):
We've been saying it all.

Speaker 4 (16:55):
Where's the personal pride in their own performance? Why aren't
they forget about planning for the coach?

Speaker 1 (17:00):
Are they tired?

Speaker 4 (17:00):
What about play?

Speaker 1 (17:01):
No?

Speaker 4 (17:01):
I don't think they're tired. I think but maybe they're
mentally For two physically that's rubbish, but both like where's
the personal point? And they want to play for your teammate?
That's what I didn't see in the weekend. They didn't
care about the blade next to them, Like that comes
from with you and you can't tell me that's coming
from the coach maybe to us a lesser extent, but
short shut, that's a personal thing, personal pride in your performance,

(17:24):
and there was no personal pride in their performance on
Saturday night.

Speaker 1 (17:27):
Do you think they stick with Madge or not? Oh?

Speaker 3 (17:29):
They got it. They can't shack another cat. He's on
a no pressure next year he's watching a three year contract.
I think next year he'd want to start getting And
mind you, they're not gone yet.

Speaker 1 (17:42):
They can't where they finished this year predictions, I don't.

Speaker 3 (17:46):
I don't think they will make the only it's not
that strong and they're going to Well, they've got the Titans,
then they've got to buy. Then they've got case Titans
and Raiders said they the warrior instrument.

Speaker 1 (18:01):
They've got two boys to go. They got nice. I
think they've got enough.

Speaker 2 (18:05):
If they missed the eight buzz and they go on
the next year, they can't do anywhere.

Speaker 3 (18:08):
Where does that leave Madge won't lose his job this year?
They can't.

Speaker 1 (18:12):
They can't.

Speaker 5 (18:13):
They can't mean they can't do because it blokes, because
the CEO and the chairman would have to sack themselves.

Speaker 4 (18:18):
Really absolutely, they're not going to do it.

Speaker 5 (18:22):
They're the ones right that got rid of Sea Bowl
and that was the worst thing for me when I
saw Maddie Middleton, he's a he's been at our club
pretty much since day one. He had to go pick
up all the wooden spoons and then Kevy got them
back to where they did, and yell, I'm Kevy's mate,
And it looks like the club is going back down
that road again.

Speaker 1 (18:41):
It looks like it's going back down that road.

Speaker 3 (18:43):
In fairness, and what we're saying about Carl Morix, they've
made the job of a CEO and a chairman is
really a commercial job and their turnover of eighty four
million dollars is precedential with successful clubs off the field.

Speaker 2 (19:06):
Is that what they do they hang their hat on
that too much? Do they just think that no matter what,
they're going to be successful where they will.

Speaker 3 (19:12):
Dave and Carl can't coach the team, but what they
can do.

Speaker 1 (19:17):
They can pick the coach. They can either coach, they
can buy the coach.

Speaker 4 (19:21):
Football clubs judged on winning football games. So I mean, look,
I think Dave will talk in the next week, next
few days. I think he has to well hopefully to us.
We'll see what's what's been bubbling.

Speaker 2 (19:37):
What's been bubbling around is paint hass and what's going
to happen with his future?

Speaker 1 (19:41):
You mentioned it earlier, Buzz. Will he move on?

Speaker 2 (19:44):
Will he stay? They need him? I mean, they cannot
afford to lose pain Hards. He's by far their best
player by the length of the straight. Where does he
stand here? Do you guys have an info on that?

Speaker 4 (19:56):
I spake to his agent, armored On on Sunday and
he said, he's not talking to anyone to the end of.

Speaker 5 (20:02):
The seasons around to.

Speaker 4 (20:06):
The standard thing. Agents do they send out lists? Right, Yeah,
you don't send a list out you've got a limited clientele.

Speaker 1 (20:15):
He's stopping one.

Speaker 2 (20:15):
But he was on, well, he swears need to do
that for Paine's directing an.

Speaker 4 (20:22):
Automatic generated email. I think I'm just telling you what
he's You're asking.

Speaker 1 (20:30):
You believe something, you believe too much? Lightly read.

Speaker 4 (20:33):
Don't shoot the messenger boys, all right? And he said,
but he's saying they're going to talk to anyone till
the seasons over. Paint doesn't want to talk to anyone
till the years that the season's over. When that season's over,
they'll sit down with Brisbane and all their energy will
go and to strike.

Speaker 5 (20:54):
Just imagine if they did the mid season the end
of the year review. Now, what do you reckon? The
answer would be? For Michael Columns, I don't know.

Speaker 3 (21:04):
Look, I'm I think it's a bit of cover up
from his manager with respect. It was unusual that he
did send the email out unusual, but I'm just trying
to tell you if you let me finish. I know
I've heard that he's unhappy. That okay, and he's one
of many players that are okay. And I think the
manager because he wants to win. And he stated last

(21:28):
time that he stayed at the Broncos to win the title,
and they're that far from title. It's not funny. And
I don't think he's enjoying his football. He's carrying the
side on his one out and he's own with a
bit of help from Pat Carrigan. I'm not convinced he
will stay. Read the money he's going to get off
it with the competitive dollars, he.

Speaker 4 (21:52):
Could be a unique circumstance. I mean, he's looking after
all his siblings and your parents who are in prison couens,
and he's in a very unique position paying. I would
find it stunning if he was to pack up the
movies family into state. The twins invested so much money

(22:12):
and Tino Dave haven't got much left over.

Speaker 1 (22:18):
I disrespect, but want if he wants to win a
camp go to the Titans. I don't know what he's
won and woulden spoon there.

Speaker 2 (22:28):
I'm not I'm not trying to if if you're saying
he wants to win.

Speaker 1 (22:31):
A company stated that.

Speaker 3 (22:33):
If he did when he shot, he may have to
leave Risbone.

Speaker 4 (22:37):
The Titans, which you respect to the gold cop how
dare you and the closer than the Dolphins to difference
one win on the last bus have to suck up
the Gordyr Lachlan Galvin has opened up on he's moved

(22:58):
to Belmore, taking a subtle st he's former club.

Speaker 7 (23:02):
It's really exciting to get in here and yeah pretty
much get all my gear now and to put on
the polo and to be able to talk about it now.
It's pretty exciting to run out in front of all
the Doggies fans and them cheering, being on their side
this time will be amazing. So hopefully get to get
to plan that game, make my debut and yeah get
out and dumb yeah.

Speaker 3 (23:21):
Watch.

Speaker 4 (23:22):
You've probably had a chance to spend a little bit
of time with Cameron Surrealdo. But what do you like
about him as a coach.

Speaker 7 (23:28):
I just think he's a real leader. I think he's
driving standards here that are that are pretty cool and
something obviously I want to be a part of. They're
always here for each other, They're always all the boys
have got each other's back, So there's something I want
to be a part of. And yeah, I just want
to keep working hard and getting in here and learning
all their systems.

Speaker 2 (23:43):
And yeah, there he is Lachlan Gavin for the first
time in his Bulldogs gear with his fresh new haircut.

Speaker 1 (23:51):
It looks like Lloyd.

Speaker 4 (23:52):
Christmas send him down, Angus Crow.

Speaker 1 (24:00):
A lot of what do we make of that? Boys?

Speaker 3 (24:03):
He was a very very sanctioned interview. I think everything
he is going to say from here is very much
sanctioned in that there is a confidential holy clause around
his departure from the West Tigers. There is very much
at state legally, and I don't think we will ever
get the truth with the true story about why he
can pile the doss here on Benji Marshall wise manager

(24:24):
marched in with all those demands. But yeah, good to hear.
I'm police. He's happy, he's nine and it's a fresh
start and a bit of mail will be playing on the.

Speaker 1 (24:34):
Weekend, so he'll go straight in. Buzz. You think.

Speaker 3 (24:38):
He won't go straight in. I'm told from reliable people
there that Toby Sexton will be retained as half back
for that monster.

Speaker 2 (24:46):
Going to get another that they did say that Sexton
was going to be dropped anyway before they bought Galvin.

Speaker 1 (24:55):
That was coming out along the day they might have.

Speaker 3 (24:58):
To tell you, and I'm don't think I'm wrong. I
was told before the show from someone very close to
the power Breakers at Canterbury that Toby Sex will definitely
start now Galvin when the team is issued for the
what do they call it? Time sheet Tuesday? Teamless Galvin
will be in the squad times shirt, team sheet. Didn't

(25:24):
I say team sheets timet Tuesday?

Speaker 1 (25:27):
I used to what will happen?

Speaker 3 (25:31):
What will happen? He will not start, but he'll be
somewhere from the bench to twenty two. Cameron Surroundo has
coached him two sessions and he's still sliding in what
I'm hearing. He'll make a decision off the next couple.
I expect him to start off the bench, probably in
Jersey twenty one or twenty two.

Speaker 1 (25:51):
Interesting with him on the bench. On the bench, they
have to carry.

Speaker 2 (25:55):
Two forwards and it's still interesting too that to be
starting because I doubted that after the.

Speaker 1 (26:01):
Mail two halves on the bench bro it would be strange, but.

Speaker 3 (26:09):
Could play any break.

Speaker 2 (26:11):
News tonight, Alvin said he always intended to see out
he's contract in an interview with Dave Ricky in an
article that he's done one on one.

Speaker 1 (26:21):
Is that right?

Speaker 4 (26:22):
Well, we probably thought he would have to at one point,
didn't he because didn't because that I'd let him go.
But obviously in the background, his manager and him were
agitating for a release, and maybe at one point he
thought I wouldn't be able to get it. But you know,
once the legal actions started, I think both we said
on here it was never going to end pretty and.

Speaker 1 (26:38):
It was all the time. Do you think he was
just a that man?

Speaker 4 (26:42):
Probably he's just saying the right thing because, as Buzz said,
he's very limited what he could say because there's a
non disparagement claus in his contract where he can't be
critical that Tigers, they can't be criticised.

Speaker 2 (26:51):
To me, no disrespect to the situation in Laughlin. That
means nothing to me. Listening now, I just want to
watch him play forty.

Speaker 1 (26:58):
I just want to see him play.

Speaker 2 (26:59):
Footy, and you'll see by the evidence of how he
performs in those Bulldogs colors, where he's at and how.

Speaker 1 (27:04):
Community is and if he's moved on or not.

Speaker 2 (27:07):
All these conversations and interviews when he can't say this
because of restricted contracts and all it's fluff.

Speaker 6 (27:14):
You know.

Speaker 4 (27:14):
The Broncos have been the story Dave.

Speaker 2 (27:18):
If I sat with David City has gone then he
said I was way off the market.

Speaker 3 (27:21):
The Broncos have been the story of the first half
of the season. The young Fella will be the story
of the second half of the season where the cannib
we can stay at the top of the ladder. What
contribution he can make where he plays, Does he fit
in better than he did it West Tiger's at which
you'd obviously say yes, massive story though just to watch

(27:41):
his developed.

Speaker 2 (27:42):
Ready, the vision of him training earlier early theonerella.

Speaker 1 (27:45):
Are they on to that.

Speaker 4 (27:46):
They're still looking at a break, They're still wanting to
get information. What was the situation with that well, because
he didn't have his official release at this point, so
when he shot up and he was captured capturing this
footage in Bulldogs gear oft Belmore, he wasn't officially cleared
by the Tigers at that point, so it actually wasn't insured,
so it actually injured himself. There was no insurance in
place for him, so this isn't supposed to happen.

Speaker 1 (28:07):
What would be the outcome, Well, they could.

Speaker 4 (28:09):
Get a slap on the wrist over it won't be significant.

Speaker 3 (28:12):
They won't find Gus, you, No, they won't. Last time
they said they were going to stop Gus saying this,
and that they suspended Gus wasn't even general manager.

Speaker 2 (28:28):
Could apologists continued to know his role in Galvin's exit.
But has this hurt Gus's reputation? I'll come here really first,
buses are salivating over there, No, no, Well.

Speaker 4 (28:41):
To an extent, but I think that I think the
punn has always taken what Gus says in regard to Canterbury,
perhaps with a grain of salt. Well, I think we
always have. I'm sure that the people who know him
best and have watched him over the years know to
take what he says about the clubs is involved with
with a grain of salt. But I mean there's no
doubts hurting to an extent. We saw his spat with
Chamas on one hundred percent foot.

Speaker 1 (29:01):
A nice little piece of.

Speaker 4 (29:04):
But I think beautiful it was touching on it. But
I think he came out of I think Gus came
out of that the worst. I think, Yeah, that had
an impact on him, and you know, we water off
it ducts back for him.

Speaker 3 (29:15):
As you know, I've been chipping away at Gus for
several mocks.

Speaker 1 (29:18):
We didn't notice.

Speaker 3 (29:20):
No, Well, I have the one person trying to hold
this man to account. What happened to him last week
was the knockout blade to his credibility for all time.

Speaker 1 (29:32):
It really was.

Speaker 3 (29:34):
You don't think he suffered. I think you don't think.
You don't think he misled the public.

Speaker 4 (29:40):
He probably did, but as I said, I think the
public expect that from me when he's talking about his
own backyard. I think they've expected that over the years.

Speaker 1 (29:50):
Misleads the public.

Speaker 3 (29:51):
No, I don't, but not everyone sits on a television
with a job, which I've said, with a job to
honestly informed viewers of what's going on.

Speaker 2 (30:03):
I think on this one he just missed the mark
and he should have just owned the position he was
in more and he had to deal with a player.
He's a head of football at Cannaby all if he
just it never states these positions.

Speaker 3 (30:15):
Can I'll give you one example. Everyone knows Dally Cherry
Evans is going to the Sydney Roosters next year. Correct
has Nick Poliitis or Trent Robinson once come out and
said he is not on our radar, we are not interested.
What they've done is they've avoided the questions. They've just

(30:38):
palmed them off. And what that puts them in a
position where they're not telling Porky's They're just not answering
what we all know is true. And I think that's
a much nicer way of doing business.

Speaker 1 (30:52):
